   Behold, thus saith the Lord unto the elders whom he hath called and chosen in these last days, by the voice of his Spirit—

   Saying: I, the Lord, will make known unto you what I will that ye shall do from this time until the next conference, which shall be held in Missouri, upon the land which I will consecrate unto my people, which are a remnant of Jacob, and those who are heirs according to the covenant.

   Wherefore, verily I say unto you, let my servants Joseph Smith, Jun., and Sidney Rigdon take their journey as soon as preparations can be made to leave their homes, and journey to the land of Missouri.

   וּכְפִיu/khe/FIand inasmuchאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasיִהְיוּyih/YUthey shall beנֶאֱמָנִיםne/e/ma/NIMfaithfulאֵלַיe/LAYunto meיוּדַעyu/DAit shall be knownלָהֶםla/HEMunto themמַהmawhatיַּעֲשׂוּ׃ya/a/SUthey shall do

   And inasmuch as they are faithful unto me, it shall be made known unto them what they shall do;

   וְגַםve/GAMand alsoכְּפִיke/FIinasmuchאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasיִהְיוּyih/YUthey shall beנֶאֱמָנִיםne/e/ma/NIMfaithfulיוּדַעyu/DAit shall be knownלָהֶםla/HEMunto themאֶרֶץE/retsthe landנַחֲלַתְכֶם׃na/cha/lat/KHEMof your inheritance

   And it shall also, inasmuch as they are faithful, be made known unto them the land of your inheritance.

   וּכְפִיu/khe/FIand inasmuchאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasלֹאlonotיִהְיוּyih/YUthey shall beנֶאֱמָנִיםne/e/ma/NIMfaithfulיִכָּרְתוּyik/ka/re/TUthey shall be cut offכִּרְצוֹנִיkir/tso/NIas I willכַּטּוֹבkat/TOVas is goodבְּעֵינָי׃be/e/NAYin my eyes

   And inasmuch as they are not faithful, they shall be cut off, even as I will, as seemeth me good.

   וְעוֹדve/ODand againאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantלִימָןLi/MANLymanוַייְטVayytWightוְעַבְדִּיve/av/DIand my servantג׳וֹןGonJohnקוֹרִילKo/RILCorrillיֵצְאוּyets/Ulet them takeלְדַרְכָּםle/dar/KAMtheir journeyבִּמְהֵרָה׃bim/he/RAspeedily

   And again, verily I say unto you, let my servant Lyman Wight and my servant John Corrill take their journey speedily;

   וְגַםve/GAMand alsoעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantג׳וֹןGonJohnמֶרְדּוֹקMer/DOKMurdockוְעַבְדִּיve/av/DIand my servantחִירָםChi/RAMHyrumסְמִיתSe/MITSmithיֵצְאוּyets/Ulet them takeלְדַרְכָּםle/dar/KAMtheir journeyאֶלeluntoהַמָּקוֹםham/ma/KOMthe placeהַהוּאha/HUsameדֶּרֶךְDE/rekhby the wayדֶּטְרוֹיְט׃Det/ROYTof Detroit

   And also my servant John Murdock, and my servant Hyrum Smith, take their journey unto the same place by the way of Detroit.

   וְיִסְעוּve/yis/Uand let them journeyמִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thenceקוֹרְאִיםkor/IMpreachingהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe wordבַּדֶּרֶךְbad/DE/rekhby the wayוְלֹאve/LOand notיֹאמְרוּyo/me/RUsayingדָּבָרda/VARthingאַחֵרa/CHERanotherבִּלְתִּיbil/TIexceptאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat whichכָּתְבוּka/te/VUwroteהַנְּבִיאִיםhan/ne/vi/IMthe prophetsוְהַשְּׁלִיחִיםve/hash/she/li/CHIMand the apostlesוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand that whichיִלָּמְדוּyil/la/me/DUis taughtמִןminbyהַמְּנַחֵםham/Me/na/CHEMthe Comforterבִּתְפִלַּתbit/fil/LATby the prayerאֱמוּנָה׃e/mu/NAof faith

   And let them journey from thence preaching the word by the way, saying none other things than that which the prophets and apostles have written, and that which is taught them by the Comforter through the prayer of faith.

    יֵלְכוּyel/KHUlet them goשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimtwoשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimby twoוְכֵןve/KHENand thusיִקְרְאוּyik/re/Ulet them preachבַּדֶּרֶךְbad/DE/rekhby the wayבְּכׇלbe/KHOLin everyקָהָלka/HALcongregationוְיַטְבִּילוּve/yat/bi/LUbaptizingבַּמַּיִםbam/MA/yimby the waterוּבִסְמִיכַתu/vis/mi/KHATand by the laying onיָדַיִםya/DA/yimof handsעַלalbyיַדyadthe sideהַמָּיִם׃ham/ma/YIMof the water

    Let them go two by two, and thus let them preach by the way in every congregation, baptizing by water, and the laying on of the hands by the water's side.

    כִּיkiforכֹהkhothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordאֲקַצֵּרa/kats/TSERI will cut shortמְלַאכְתִּיme/lakh/TImy workבְּצֶדֶקbe/TSE/dekin righteousnessכִּיkiforהַיָּמִיםhay/ya/MIMthe daysבָּאִיםba/IMare comingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאֶשְׁלַחesh/LACHI will send forthמִשְׁפָּטmish/PATjudgmentלָנֶצַח׃la/ne/TSACHunto victory

    For thus saith the Lord, I will cut my work short in righteousness, for the days come that I will send forth judgment unto victory.

12. 12

    וְעַבְדִּיve/av/DIand my servantלִימָןLi/MANLymanוַייְטVayytWightיִזָּהֵרyiz/za/HERlet him bewareכִּיkiforהַשָּׂטָןHas/sa/TANSatanמְבַקֵּשׁme/vak/KESHdesiresלְנַפּוֹתוֹle/nap/po/TOto sift himכַּמֹּץ׃kam/MOTSas chaff

    And let my servant Lyman Wight beware, for Satan desireth to sift him as chaff.

13. 13

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdהַנֶּאֱמָןhan/ne/e/MANhe that is faithfulיֻפְקַדyuf/KADshall be made rulerעַלaloverדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMthingsרַבִּים׃rab/BIMmany

    And behold, he that is faithful shall be made ruler over many things.

14. 14

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againאֶתֵּןet/TENI will giveלָכֶםla/KHEMyouתַּבְנִיתtav/NITa patternבְּכׇלbe/KHOLin allדָּבָרda/VARthingsלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatלֹאlonotתֻתְעוּtut/Uyou may be deceivedכִּיkiforהַשָּׂטָןHas/sa/TANSatanמִתְהַלֵּךְmit/hal/LEKHis abroadבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the landוְהוֹלֵךְve/ho/LEKHand is going forthלְהַתְעוֹתle/hat/OTto deceiveהַגּוֹיִם׃hag/go/YIMthe nations

    And again, I will give unto you a pattern in all things, that ye may not be deceived; for Satan is abroad in the land, and he goeth forth deceiving the nations—

15. 15

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeהַמִּתְפַּלֵּלham/mit/pal/LELhe that praysאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseרוּחוֹru/CHOspiritנִשְׁבָּרָהnish/ba/RAis contriteהוּאhuthe sameרָצוּיra/TSUYis acceptedלְפָנַיle/fa/NAYbefore meאִםimifיִשְׁמֹרyish/MORhe obeyחֻקּוֹתָי׃chuk/ko/TAYmy ordinances

    Wherefore he that prayeth, whose spirit is contrite, the same is accepted of me if he obey mine ordinances.

16. 16

    הַמְדַבֵּרham/dab/BERhe that speaksאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseרוּחוֹru/CHOspiritנִשְׁבָּרָהnish/ba/RAis contriteאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseלְשׁוֹנוֹle/sho/NOlanguageעֲנָוָהa/na/VAis meekוּבוֹנֶהu/vo/NEand edifiesהוּאhuthe sameמֵאֱלֹהִיםme/e/lo/HIMis of Godאִםimifיִשְׁמֹרyish/MORhe obeyחֻקּוֹתָי׃chuk/ko/TAYmy ordinances

    He that speaketh, whose spirit is contrite, whose language is meek and edifieth, the same is of God if he obey mine ordinances.

17. 17

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againהָרוֹעֵדha/ro/EDhe that tremblesתַּחַתTA/chatunderכֹּחִיko/CHImy powerיֶחֱזַקye/che/ZAKshall be made strongוְיוֹצִיאve/yo/TSIand shall bring forthפְּרִיpe/RIfruitsתְהִלָּהte/hil/LAof praiseוְחׇכְמָהve/chokh/MAand wisdomלְפִיle/FIaccording toהַחֲזוֹנוֹתha/cha/zo/NOTthe revelationsוְהָאֱמֶתve/ha/e/METand the truthsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI gaveלָכֶם׃la/KHEMyou

    And again, he that trembleth under my power shall be made strong, and shall bring forth fruits of praise and wisdom, according to the revelations and truths which I have given you.

18. 18

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againהַנִּכְבָּשׁhan/nikh/BASHhe that is overcomeוְאֵינֶנּוּve/e/NEN/nuand does notמוֹצִיאmo/TSIbring forthפְּרִיpe/RIfruitsגַּםgamevenלְפִיle/FIaccording toהַתַּבְנִיתhat/tav/NITthe patternהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nuis notמִמֶּנִּי׃mim/men/NIof me

    And again, he that is overcome and bringeth not forth fruits, even according to this pattern, is not of me.

19. 19

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeבַּתַּבְנִיתbat/tav/NITby the patternהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisתֵּדְעוּted/Uyou shall knowהָרוּחוֹתha/ru/CHOTthe spiritsבְּכׇלbe/KHOLin everyמִקְרֶהmik/REcaseתַּחַתTA/chatunderכׇּלkolall theהַשָּׁמָיִם׃hash/sha/ma/YIMheavens

    Wherefore, by this pattern ye shall know the spirits in all cases under the whole heavens.

20. 20

    וְהַיָּמִיםve/hay/ya/MIMand the daysבָּאוּBA/ucameלְפִיle/FIaccording toאֱמוּנַתe/mu/NATthe faithאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMof menיֵעָשֶׂהye/a/SEit shall be doneלָהֶם׃la/HEMunto them

    And the days have come; according to men's faith it shall be done unto them.

21. 21

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהַמִּצְוָהham/mits/VAthe commandmentהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisנִתְּנָהnit/te/NAis givenלְכׇלle/KHOLunto allהַזְּקֵנִיםhaz/ze/ke/NIMthe eldersאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomבָּחָרְתִּי׃ba/char/TII chose

    Behold, this commandment is given unto all the elders whom I have chosen.

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantתּוֹמַסTo/MASThomasבּ.bBמַרְשׁMarshMarshוְעַבְדִּיve/av/DIand my servantעֶזְרָאEz/RAEzraתֵיֶירTe/YERThayreיֵצְאוּyets/Ulet them takeגַםgamalsoלְדַרְכָּםle/dar/KAMtheir journeyקוֹרְאִיםkor/IMpreachingהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe wordבַּדֶּרֶךְbad/DE/rekhby the wayאֶלeluntoהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landהַהִיא׃ha/HIsame

    And again, verily I say unto you, let my servant Thomas B. Marsh and my servant Ezra Thayre take their journey also, preaching the word by the way unto this same land.

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantיִצְחָקYits/CHAKIsaacמוֹרְלִיMor/LIMorleyוְעַבְדִּיve/av/DIand my servantעֶזְרָאEz/RAEzraבּוּתButBoothיֵצְאוּyets/Ulet them takeלְדַרְכָּםle/dar/KAMtheir journeyגַּםgamalsoקוֹרְאִיםkor/IMpreachingהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe wordבַּדֶּרֶךְbad/DE/rekhby the wayאֶלeluntoהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landהַהִיא׃ha/HIsame

    And again, let my servant Isaac Morley and my servant Ezra Booth take their journey, also preaching the word by the way unto this same land.

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againעֲבָדַיa/va/DAYmy servantsאֶדְוָרְדEd/VARDEdwardפַּרְטְרִיג׳Par/te/RIGPartridgeוּמַרְטִיןu/Mar/TINand MartinהֶרִיסHe/RISHarrisיֵצְאוּyets/Ulet them takeלְדַרְכָּםle/dar/KAMtheir journeyעִםimwithעֲבָדַיa/va/DAYmy servantsסִידְנִיSi/de/NISidneyרִיגְדּוֹןRig/DONRigdonוְיוֹסֵףve/Yo/SEFand JosephסְמִיתSe/MITSmithהַבֵּן׃Hab/BENJun

    And again, let my servants Edward Partridge and Martin Harris take their journey with my servants Sidney Rigdon and Joseph Smith, Jun.

    And let my servants Parley P. Pratt and Orson Pratt take their journey, and preach by the way, even unto this same land.

    וַעֲבָדַיva/a/va/DAYand my servantsשְׁלֹמֹהShe/lo/MOSolomonהֶנְקוֹקHen/KOKHancockוְשִׁמְעוֹןve/Shim/ONand SimeonקַרְטֶרKar/TERCarterגַּםgamalsoיֵצְאוּyets/Ulet them takeלְדַרְכָּםle/dar/KAMtheir journeyאֶלeluntoהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landהַהִיאha/HIsameוְיִקְרְאוּve/yik/re/Uand preachבַּדֶּרֶךְ׃bad/de/REKHby the way

    And let my servants Solomon Hancock and Simeon Carter also take their journey unto this same land, and preach by the way.

    Let my servants Levi W. Hancock and Zebedee Coltrin also take their journey.

    And let my servants Newel Knight and Selah J. Griffin both be ordained, and also take their journey.

    Yea, verily I say, let all these take their journey unto one place, in their several courses, and one man shall not build upon another's foundation, neither journey in another's track.

    הַנֶּאֱמָןhan/ne/e/MANhe that is faithfulהוּאhuthe sameיִשָּׁמֵרyish/sha/MERshall be keptוְיִתְבָּרֵךְve/yit/ba/REKHand blessedבִּפְרִיbif/RIwith fruitרָב׃ravmuch

    He that is faithful, the same shall be kept and blessed with much fruit.

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youעֲבָדַיa/va/DAYmy servantsיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephוֵיקְפִילְדVe/ke/FILDWakefieldוּשְׁלֹמֹהu/She/lo/MOand SolomonהַמְפְּרִיHam/pe/RIHumphreyיֵצְאוּyets/Ulet them takeלְדַרְכָּםle/dar/KAMtheir journeyלְאַרְצוֹתle/ar/TSOTinto the landsהַמִּזְרָח׃ham/miz/RACHof the east

    And again, I say unto you, let my servants Joseph Wakefield and Solomon Humphrey take their journey into the eastern lands;

    Let them labor with their families, declaring none other things than the prophets and apostles, that which they have seen and heard and most assuredly believe, that the prophecies may be fulfilled.

    In consequence of transgression, let that which was bestowed upon Heman Basset be taken from him, and placed upon the head of Simonds Ryder.

    And again, verily I say unto you, let Jared Carter be ordained a priest, and also George James be ordained a priest.

    שְׁאָרshe/ARthe residueהַזְּקֵנִיםhaz/ze/ke/NIMof the eldersיִשְׁקְדוּyish/ke/DUlet them watchעַלaloverהַכְּנֵסִיּוֹתhak/ke/ne/siy/YOTthe churchesוְיַכְרִיזוּve/yakh/ri/ZUand declareהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe wordבַּגְּלִילוֹתbag/ge/li/LOTin the regionsמִסָּבִיבmis/sa/VIVround aboutלָהֶםla/HEMthemוְיַעַבְדוּve/ya/av/DUand let them laborבִּידֵיהֶםbi/de/HEMwith their handsלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatלֹאlonotתֵעָשֶׂהte/a/SEbe practicedעֲבוֹדַתa/vo/DATthe worshipאֱלִילִיםe/li/LIMof idolsוְרִשְׁעָה׃ve/rish/Anor wickedness

    Let the residue of the elders watch over the churches, and declare the word in the regions round about them; and let them labor with their own hands that there be no idolatry nor wickedness practiced.

40. 40

    וְזִכְרוּve/zikh/RUand rememberבְּכׇלbe/KHOLin allדָּבָרda/VARthingsהֶעָנִיhe/a/NIthe poorוְהָאֶבְיוֹןve/ha/ev/YONand the needyהַחוֹלֶהha/cho/LEthe sickוְהַנִּדְכָּאve/han/nid/KAand the afflictedכִּיkiforאֲשֶׁרa/SHERhe thatאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nudoes notעֹשֶׂהo/SEdoהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nuis notתַלְמִידִי׃tal/mi/DImy disciple

    And remember in all things the poor and the needy, the sick and the afflicted, for he that doeth not these things, the same is not my disciple.

    And again, let my servants Joseph Smith, Jun., and Sidney Rigdon and Edward Partridge take with them a recommend from the church. And let there be one obtained for my servant Oliver Cowdery also.

    וְכֵןve/KHENand thusכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHEReven asאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI saidאִםimifתִּהְיוּtih/YUyou areנֶאֱמָנִיםne/e/ma/NIMfaithfulתֵּאָסְפוּte/a/se/FUshall assemble yourselvesיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherלִשְׂמֹחַlis/MO/achto rejoiceעַלaluponאֶרֶץE/retsthe landמִיזוּרִיmI/zu/RIof Missouriהִיאhiwhich isאֶרֶץE/retsthe landנַחֲלַתְכֶםna/cha/lat/KHEMof your inheritanceהִיאhiwhich isעַתָּהat/TAnowאֶרֶץE/retsthe landאֹיְבֵיכֶם׃oy/ve/KHEMof your enemies

    And thus, even as I have said, if ye are faithful ye shall assemble yourselves together to rejoice upon the land of Missouri, which is the land of your inheritance, which is now the land of your enemies.

43. 43

    אַךְakhbutהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordאָחִישׁa/CHISHwill hastenהָעִירha/IRthe cityבְּעִתָּהּbe/it/TAin its timeוַאֲעַטֵּרva/a/at/TERand will crownהַנֶּאֱמָנִיםhan/ne/e/ma/NIMthe faithfulבְּשָׂשׂוֹןbe/sa/SONwith joyוּבְשִׂמְחָה׃u/ve/sim/CHAand with rejoicing

    But, behold, I, the Lord, will hasten the city in its time, and will crown the faithful with joy and with rejoicing.

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲנִיa/NII amיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַHam/ma/SHI/achChristבֶּןBenthe Sonהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMof Godאֲרוֹמְמֵםa/rom/MEMI will lift them upבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMat the dayהָאַחֲרוֹןha/a/cha/RONthe lastכֵּןkeneven soיְהִיye/HIbe itאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

    Behold, I am Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and I will lift them up at the last day. Even so. Amen.
