    Hearken, O ye people of my church; for verily I say unto you that these things were spoken unto you for your profit and learning.

    אַךְakhbutמִלְּבַדmil/le/VADnotwithstandingהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהַכְּתוּבִיםhak/ke/tu/VIMwhich are writtenנִתַּןnit/TANis givenתָּמִידta/MIDalwaysלְזִקְנֵיle/zik/NEto the eldersכְּנֵסִיָּתִיke/ne/siy/ya/TIof my churchמֵרֵאשִׁיתme/re/SHITfrom the beginningוְיִנָּתֵןve/yin/NA/tenand shall be givenלָעַדla/ADeverלְנַהֵלle/na/HELto conductכׇּלkolallאֲסֵפוֹתa/se/FOTmeetingsכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיְנֹהֲלוּye/no/ha/LUthey are directedוְיִנָּהֲגוּve/yin/na/ha/GUand guidedבְּיַדbe/YADbyרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁ׃RU/ach-Hak/ko/DESHthe Holy Spirit

    But notwithstanding those things which are written, it always has been given to the elders of my church from the beginning, and ever shall be, to conduct all meetings as they are directed and guided by the Holy Spirit.

    אַךְakhneverthelessמְצֻוִּיםme/tsuv/VIMcommandedאַתֶּםat/TEMare youלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverלֹאlonotלְהוֹצִיאle/ho/TSIto cast outאִישׁishany oneמֵאֲסֵפוֹתֵיכֶםme/a/se/fo/te/KHEMfrom your meetingsבַּגָּלוּיbag/ga/LUYthe publicלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהָעוֹלָם׃ha/o/LAMthe world

    Nevertheless ye are commanded never to cast any one out from your public meetings, which are held before the world.

    גַּםgamalsoמְצֻוִּיםme/tsuv/VIMcommandedאַתֶּםat/TEMare youלֹאlonotלְהוֹצִיאle/ho/TSIto cast outמֵאֲסֵפוֹתme/a/se/FOTfrom the meetingsהַסְּעוּדָהhas/se/u/DAof the sacramentאִישׁishany oneאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho belongsלַכְּנֵסִיָּהlak/ke/ne/siy/YAto the churchאַךְakhneverthelessאִםimifחָטָאcha/TAany trespassedאַלallet notיֹאכַלyo/KHALhim partakeעַדaduntilיִתְרַצֶּה׃yit/rats/TSEhe makes reconciliation

    Ye are also commanded not to cast any one who belongeth to the church out of your sacrament meetings; nevertheless, if any have trespassed, let him not partake until he makes reconciliation.

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youלֹאlonotתוֹצִיאוּto/TSI/uyou shall castמֵאֲסֵפוֹתme/a/se/FOTout from the meetingsהַסְּעוּדָהhas/se/u/DAof the sacramentאֶת־הַמְבַקְּשִׁיםet-ham/vak/ke/SHIMthose who seekבְּכׇל־לֵבbe/KHOL-levearnestlyאֶת־הַמַּלְכוּתet-ham/mal/KHUTthe kingdomוְעַלve/ALand concerningאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthose whoאֵינָםe/NAMare notמִןminofהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAthe churchאֲנִיa/NIIמְדַבֵּר׃me/dab/BERspeak this

    And again I say unto you, ye shall not cast any out of your sacrament meetings who are earnestly seeking the kingdom—I speak this concerning those who are not of the church.

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youעַלalconcerningאֲסֵפוֹתa/se/FOTthe meetingsהַסְּמִיכָהhas/se/mi/KHAof confirmationאִםimifיֵשׁyeshthere beאֲשֶׁרa/SHERany thatאֵינָםe/NAMare notמִןminofהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAthe churchהַמְבַקְּשִׁיםham/vak/ke/SHIMwho seekבְּכׇל־לֵבbe/KHOL-levearnestlyאֶת־הַמַּלְכוּתet-ham/mal/KHUTthe kingdomלֹאloyou shall notתוֹצִיאוּם׃to/tsi/UMcast them out

    And again I say unto you, concerning your confirmation meetings, that if there be any that are not of the church, that are earnestly seeking after the kingdom, ye shall not cast them out.

    But ye are commanded in all things to ask of God, who giveth liberally; and that which the Spirit testifies unto you even so I would that ye should do in all holiness of heart, walking uprightly before me, considering the end of your salvation, doing all things with prayer and thanksgiving, that ye may not be seduced by evil spirits, or doctrines of devils, or the commandments of men; for some are of men, and others of devils.

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeהִשָּׁמְרוּhish/sha/me/RUbewareפֶּןpenlestתִּתָּעוּtit/ta/Uyou are deceivedוּלְמַעַןu/le/MA/anand thatלֹאlonotתִּתָּעוּtit/ta/Uyou be deceivedבַּקְּשׁוּbak/ke/SHUseekבְּכׇל־לֵבbe/KHOL-levearnestlyמֵיטַבme/TAVthe bestהַמַּתָּנוֹתham/mat/ta/NOTof the giftsזוֹכְרִיםzokh/RIMrememberingתָּמִידta/MIDalwaysלְמַהle/MAfor whatנִתְּנוּ׃nit/te/NUthey are given

    Wherefore, beware lest ye are deceived; and that ye may not be deceived seek ye earnestly the best gifts, always remembering for what they are given;

    כִּיkiforאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youנִתְּנוּnit/te/NUthey are givenלְטוֹבַתle/to/VATfor the benefitהָאוֹהֲבִיםha/o/ha/VIMof those who loveאוֹתִיo/TImeוְהַשֹּׁמְרִיםve/hash/shom/RIMand who keepכׇּלkolallמִצְוֹתַיmits/vo/TAYmy commandmentsוְלַמְבַקֵּשׁve/lam/vak/KESHand him that seeksלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doכֵּןkensoלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיוּעֲלוּyu/a/LUmay be benefitedכׇּלkolallהַמְבַקְּשִׁיםham/vak/ke/SHIMwho seekאוֹoorהַשֹּׁאֲלִיםhash/sho/a/LIMwho askמִמֶּנִּיmim/MEN/niof meהַשֹּׁאֲלִיםhash/sho/a/LIMthose who askוְלֹאve/LOand notלְאוֹתle/OTfor a signלְכַלּוֹתוֹle/khal/lo/TOto consume itעַלaluponתַּאֲווֹתֵיהֶם׃ta/a/vo/te/HEMtheir lusts

    For verily I say unto you, they are given for the benefit of those who love me and keep all my commandments, and him that seeketh so to do; that all may be benefited that seek or that ask of me, that ask and not for a sign that they may consume it upon their lusts.

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youחָפַצְתִּיcha/FATS/tiI wouldכִּיkithatתִזְכְּרוּtiz/ke/RUyou should rememberתָּמִידta/MIDalwaysוְתִשְׁמְרוּve/tish/me/RUand retainתָמִידta/MIDalwaysבְּדַעְתְּכֶםbe/da/te/KHEMin your mindsמַהmawhatהֵןhenareהַמַּתָּנוֹתham/mat/ta/NOTthe giftsהַנְּתוּנוֹתhan/ne/tu/NOTthat are givenלַכְּנֵסִיָּה׃lak/ke/ne/siy/YAunto the church

    And again, verily I say unto you, I would that ye should always remember, and always retain in your minds what those gifts are, that are given unto the church.

    כִּיkiforלֹאlonotלְכֻלָּםle/khul/LAMunto allנִתְּנָהnit/te/NAis givenכׇּלkoleveryמַתָּנָהmat/ta/NAgiftכִּיkiforרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyהֵןhenareהַמַּתָּנוֹתham/mat/ta/NOTthe giftsוּלְכׇלu/le/KHOLand to everyאִישׁishmanנִתְּנָהnit/te/NAis givenמַתָּנָהmat/ta/NAa giftבְּיַדbe/YADbyרוּחַRU/achthe Spiritאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMof God

    For all have not every gift given unto them; for there are many gifts, and to every man is given a gift by the Spirit of God.

    לִקְצָתָםlik/tsa/TAMto someנִתְּנָהnit/te/NAis givenאַחַתa/CHAToneוְלִקְצָתָםve/lik/tsa/TAMand to someנִתְּנָהnit/te/NAis givenאַחֶרֶתa/CHE/retanotherלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatכׇּלkolallיוּעֲלוּ׃yu/a/LUmay be profited thereby

    To some is given one, and to some is given another, that all may be profited thereby.

    לִקְצָתָםlik/tsa/TAMto someנִתַּןnit/TANit is givenבְּיַדbe/YADbyרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁRU/ach-Hak/KO/deshthe Holy Ghostלָדַעַתla/DA/atto knowכִּיkithatיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַHam/ma/SHI/achChristהוּאhuisבֶּןBenthe Sonהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMof Godוְנִצְלַבve/nits/LAVand was crucifiedבְּעַדbe/ADforחַטֹּאותchat/TOTthe sinsהָעוֹלָם׃ha/o/LAMof the world

    To some it is given by the Holy Ghost to know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that he was crucified for the sins of the world.

    לַאֲחֵרִיםla/a/che/RIMto othersנִתַּןnit/TANit is givenלְהַאֲמִיןle/ha/a/MINto believeבְּדִבְרֵיהֶםbe/div/re/HEMon their wordsלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִהְיוּyih/YUmay beלָהֶםla/HEMunto themגַּםgamalsoחַיֵּיchay/YEthe lifeעוֹלָםo/LAMof eternityאִםimifיַעַמְדוּya/am/DUthey continueנֶאֱמָנִים׃ne/e/ma/NIMfaithful

    To others it is given to believe on their words, that they also might have eternal life if they continue faithful.

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againלִקְצָתָםlik/tsa/TAMto someנִתַּןnit/TANit is givenבְּיַדbe/YADbyרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁRU/ach-Hak/KO/deshthe Holy Ghostלָדַעַתla/DA/atto knowשֹׁנוֹתsho/NOTthe differencesהָעֲבֹדוֹתha/a/vo/DOTof administrationכַּטּוֹבkat/TOVas is goodבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyesיְהוָהAdonaiof the Lordכִּרְצוֹןkir/TSONaccording to the willיְהוָהAdonaiof the Lordעֹרֵךְo/REKHsuitingרַחֲמָיוra/cha/MAYVhis merciesלְדֶרֶךְle/DE/rekhto the conditionבְּנֵיbe/NEof the childrenהָאָדָם׃ha/a/DAMof men

    And again, to some it is given by the Holy Ghost to know the differences of administration, as it will be pleasing unto the same Lord, according as the Lord will, suiting his mercies according to the conditions of the children of men.

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againנִתַּןnit/TANit is givenבְּיַדbe/YADbyרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁRU/ach-Hak/KO/deshthe Holy Ghostלִקְצָתָםlik/tsa/TAMto someלָדַעַתla/DA/atto knowשֹׁנוֹתsho/NOTthe diversitiesהַפְּעֻלּוֹתhap/pe/ul/LOTof operationsאִםimifמֵאֱלֹהִיםme/e/lo/HIMof GodהֵנָּהHEN/nathey beלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatהִתְגַּלֻּיּוֹתhit/gal/luy/YOTthe manifestationsהָרוּחַha/RU/achof the Spiritתִּנָּתַנָּהtin/na/tan/NAmay be givenלְכׇלle/KHOLto everyאִישׁishmanלְהוֹעִיל׃le/ho/ILto profit withal

    And again, it is given by the Holy Ghost to some to know the diversities of operations, whether they be of God, that the manifestations of the Spirit may be given to every man to profit withal.

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youלִקְצָתָםlik/tsa/TAMto someנִתַּןnit/TANis givenבְּיַדbe/YADbyרוּחַRU/achthe Spiritאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godדְּבַרde/VARthe wordחׇכְמָה׃chokh/MAof wisdom

    And again, verily I say unto you, to some is given, by the Spirit of God, the word of wisdom.

    לְאַחֵרle/a/CHERto anotherנִתַּןnit/TANis givenדְּבַרde/VARthe wordדַּעַתDA/atof knowledgeלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatכׇּלkolallיְלֻמְּדוּye/lum/me/DUmay be taughtלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beחֲכָמִיםcha/kha/MIMwiseוּבַעֲלֵיu/va/a/LEand possessorsדַעַת׃da/ATof knowledge

    To another is given the word of knowledge, that all may be taught to be wise and to have knowledge.

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againלִקְצָתָםlik/tsa/TAMto someנִתַּןnit/TANit is givenאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithלְהֵרָפֵא׃le/he/ra/FEto be healed

    And again, to some it is given to have faith to be healed;

  20. 20

    וְלַאֲחֵרִיםve/la/a/che/RIMand to othersנִתַּןnit/TANit is givenאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithלְרַפֵּא׃le/rap/PEto heal

    And to others it is given to have faith to heal.

  21. 21

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againלִקְצָתָםlik/tsa/TAMto someנִתַּןnit/TANis givenפֹּעַלPO/althe workingגְּבוּרוֹת׃ge/vu/ROTof miracles

    And again, to some is given the working of miracles;

  22. 22

    וְלַאֲחֵרִיםve/la/a/che/RIMand to othersנִתַּןnit/TANis givenלְהִנָּבֵא׃le/hin/na/VEto prophesy

    And to others it is given to prophesy;

  23. 23

    וְלַאֲחֵרִיםve/la/a/che/RIMand to othersהַכָּרַתhak/ka/RATthe discerningרוּחוֹת׃ru/CHOTof spirits

    And to others the discerning of spirits.

  24. 24

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againנִתַּןnit/TANit is givenלִקְצָתָםlik/tsa/TAMto someלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERto speakבִּלְשׁוֹנוֹת׃bil/sho/NOTwith tongues

    And again, it is given to some to speak with tongues;

    וּלְאַחֵרu/le/a/CHERand to anotherנִתַּןnit/TANis givenבֵּאוּרbe/URthe interpretationלְשׁוֹנוֹת׃le/sho/NOTof tongues

    And to another is given the interpretation of tongues.

  26. 26

    וְכׇלve/KHOLand allהַמַּתָּנוֹתham/mat/ta/NOTthe giftsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseבָּאוֹתba/OTcomeמֵאֱלֹהִיםme/e/lo/HIMfrom Godלְטוֹבַתle/to/VATfor the benefitבְּנֵיbe/NEof the childrenהָאֱלֹהִים׃ha/e/lo/HIMof God

    And all these gifts come from God, for the benefit of the children of God.

    וְלִפְקִידve/lif/KIDand unto the bishopהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAof the churchוּלְאֵלֶּהu/le/EL/leand unto thoseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomיְמַנֶּהye/man/NEshall appointאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodוְיִסְמֹךְve/yis/MOKHand ordainלִשְׁמֹרlish/MORto watchעַלaloverהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAthe churchוְלִהְיוֹתve/lih/YOTand to beזְקֵנִיםze/ke/NIMeldersלַכְּנֵסִיָּהlak/ke/ne/siy/YAunto the churchיִנָּתֵןyin/na/TENit shall be givenלָהֶםla/HEMthemלְהַכִּירle/hak/KIRto discernכׇּלkolallהַמַּתָּנוֹתham/mat/ta/NOTthe giftsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseפֶּןpenlestיִהְיֶהyih/YEthere beבֵּינֵיכֶםbe/ne/KHEMamong youאֹמֵרo/MERone professingוְאֵינֶנּוּve/e/NEN/nuand yet is notמֵאֱלֹהִים׃me/e/lo/HIMof God

    And unto the bishop of the church, and unto such as God shall appoint and ordain to watch over the church and to be elders unto the church, are to have it given unto them to discern all those gifts lest there shall be any among you professing and yet be not of God.

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beהַשֹּׁאֵלhash/sho/ELhe that asksבָּרוּחַba/RU/achin Spiritיְקַבֵּלye/kab/BELshall receiveבָּרוּחַ׃ba/RU/achin Spirit

    And it shall come to pass that he that asketh in Spirit shall receive in Spirit;

    לְמַעַןle/MA/anthatלִקְצָתָםlik/tsa/TAMunto someיִנָּתֵןyin/na/TENit shall be givenלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto haveלָהֶםla/HEMunto themכׇּלkolallהַמַּתָּנוֹתham/mat/ta/NOTthe giftsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beרֹאשׁrosha headלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיוּעַלyu/ALmay be benefitedבָּזֶהba/ZEtherebyכׇּלkoleveryאֵבֶר׃e/VERmember

    That unto some it may be given to have all those gifts, that there may be a head, in order that every member may be profited thereby.

    הַשֹּׁאֵלhash/sho/ELhe that asksבָּרוּחַba/RU/achin the Spiritשׁוֹאֵלsho/ELasksכִּרְצוֹןkir/TSONaccording to the willאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeיֵעָשֶׂהye/a/SEit is doneכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHEReven asשָׁאַל׃sha/ALhe asks

    He that asketh in the Spirit asketh according to the will of God; wherefore it is done even as he asketh.

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youכׇּלkolallדָּבָרda/VARthingsיֵעָשֶׂהye/a/SEmust be doneבְּשֵׁםbe/SHEMin the nameהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achof Christכׇּלkolallאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתַּעֲשׂוּta/a/SUyou doבָּרוּחַ׃ba/RU/achin the Spirit

    And again, I say unto you, all things must be done in the name of Christ, whatsoever you do in the Spirit;

    וְהוֹדוּve/ho/DUand you must give thanksלֵאלֹהִיםle/lo/HIMunto Godבָּרוּחַba/RU/achin the Spiritעַלalforכׇּלkolallבְּרָכָהbe/ra/KHAblessingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתְּבֹרָכוּ׃te/vo/ra/KHUyou are blessed

    And ye must give thanks unto God in the Spirit for whatsoever blessing ye are blessed with.

  33. 33

    וְתַעֲשׂוּve/ta/a/SUand you must practiceיֹשֶׁרYO/shervirtueוּקְדֻשָּׁהu/ke/dush/SHAand holinessלְפָנַיle/fa/NAYbefore meתָּמִידta/MIDcontinuallyכֵּןkeneven soיְהִיye/HIbe itאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

    And ye must practice virtue and holiness before me continually. Even so. Amen.
