   Hearken unto the voice of the Lord your God, while I speak unto you, Emma Smith, my daughter; for verily I say unto you, all those who receive my gospel are sons and daughters in my kingdom.

   A revelation I give unto you concerning my will; and if thou art faithful and walk in the paths of virtue before me, I will preserve thy life, and thou shalt receive an inheritance in Zion.

   הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdנִסְלְחוּnis/le/CHUare forgivenחַטֹּאתַיִךְchat/to/TA/yikhyour sinsוְאַתְּve/ATTand you areגְּבִירָהge/vi/RAa ladyבְּחִירָהbe/chi/RAelectאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomקָרָאתִי׃ka/ra/TII called

   Behold, thy sins are forgiven thee, and thou art an elect lady, whom I have called.

   אַלalnotתִּתְאוֹנְנִיtit/on/NImurmurעַלalbecause ofאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthe things whichלֹאlonotרָאִיתra/ITyou sawכִּיkiforנֶעֶלְמוּne/el/MUthey are withheldמִמֵּךְmim/MEKHfrom youוּמִןu/MINand fromהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldוְזֹאתve/ZOTwhichחׇכְמָהchokh/MAis wisdomבִּיbiin meלְעֵתle/ETin a timeתָּבוֹא׃ta/VOto come

   Murmur not because of the things which thou hast not seen, for they are withheld from thee and from the world, which is wisdom in me in a time to come.

   וּמִשְׂרַתu/mis/RATand the officeקְרִיאָתֵךְke/ri/a/TEKHof your callingתִּהְיֶהtih/YEshall beלְנַחֵםle/na/CHEMfor a comfort untoאֶת־עַבְדִּיet-av/DImy servantיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephסְמִיתSe/MITSmithהַבֵּןHab/BENJunבַּעְלֵךְba/LEKHyour husbandבְּצָרוֹתָיוbe/tsa/ro/TAYVin his afflictionsבְּדִבְרֵיbe/div/REwith wordsתַנְחוּמִיםtan/chu/MIMof consolationבְּרוּחַbe/RU/achin the spiritעֲנָוָה׃a/na/VAof meekness

   And the office of thy calling shall be for a comfort unto my servant, Joseph Smith, Jun., thy husband, in his afflictions, with consoling words, in the spirit of meekness.

   וְתֵלְכִיve/tel/KHIand you shall goעִמּוֹim/MOwith himבְּעֵתbe/ETat the timeלֶכְתּוֹlekh/TOof his goingוְתִהְיִיve/tih/YIand beלוֹlounto himלְסוֹפֶרֶתle/so/FE/retfor a scribeבְּאֵיןbe/ENwhile there is noסוֹפֵרso/FERscribeלוֹlofor himלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatאֶשְׁלַחesh/LACHI may sendאֶת־עַבְדִּיet-av/DImy servantאוֹלִיבֶרO/li/VEROliverקַאוּדְרִיKa/ud/RICowderyאֶל־כׇּל־מָקוֹםel-kol-ma/KOMwhithersoeverאֶחְפֹּץ׃ech/POTSI will

   And thou shalt go with him at the time of his going, and be unto him for a scribe, while there is no one to be a scribe for him, that I may send my servant, Oliver Cowdery, whithersoever I will.

   וְתִסָּמְכִיve/tis/sa/me/KHIand you shall be ordainedתַּחַתTA/chatunderיָדוֹya/DOhis handלְבָאֵרle/va/ERto expoundכְּתוּבִיםke/tu/VIMscripturesוּלְהוֹכִיחַu/le/ho/KHI/achand to exhortאֶת־הַכְּנֵסִיָּהet-hak/ke/ne/siy/YAthe churchכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERaccording asיִנָּתֵןyin/na/TENit shall be givenלָךְlakhyouבְּרוּחִי׃be/Ru/CHIby my Spirit

   And thou shalt be ordained under his hand to expound scriptures, and to exhort the church, according as it shall be given thee by my Spirit.

   כִּיkiforיִסְמֹךְyis/MOKHhe shall layיָדָיוya/DAYVhis handsעָלַיִךְa/LA/yikhupon youוּתְקַבְּלִיu/te/kab/be/LIand you shall receiveאֶת־רוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁet-RU/ach-hak/KO/deshthe Holy Ghostוְעִתֵּךְve/it/TEKHand your timeתִּנָּתֵןtin/na/TENshall be givenלִכְתֹּבlikh/TOVto writingוְלִלְמֹדve/lil/MODand to learningהַרְבֵּה׃har/BEmuch

   For he shall lay his hands upon thee, and thou shalt receive the Holy Ghost, and thy time shall be given to writing, and to learning much.

9. 9

   וְאֵיןve/ENand there is no needלָךְlakhfor youלִירֹאli/ROto fearכִּיkiforבַעְלֵךְva/LEKHyour husbandיִתְמׇךְyit/MOKHshall supportבָּךְbakhyouבַּכְּנֵסִיָּהbak/ke/ne/siy/YAin the churchכִּיkiforאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themקְרִיאָתוֹke/ri/a/TOis his callingלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִגָּלֶהyig/ga/LEmight be revealedלָהֶםla/HEMunto themכֹּלkolall thingsכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhatsoeverאֶחְפֹּץech/POTSI willכֶּאֱמוּנָתָם׃ke/e/mu/na/TAMaccording to their faith

   And thou needest not fear, for thy husband shall support thee in the church; for unto them is his calling, that all things might be revealed unto them, whatsoever I will, according to their faith.

10. 10

    וְאָמֵןve/a/MENand verilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָךְlakhunto youכִּיkithatתַּנִּיחִיtan/ni/CHIyou shall lay asideאֶת־דִּבְרֵיet-div/REthe thingsהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMof worldהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוּתְבַקְשִׁיu/te/vak/SHIand seek forאֶת־דִּבְרֵיet-div/REthe thingsהַטּוֹבhat/TOVof the betterמִמֶּנּוּ׃mim/men/NUthan it

    And verily I say unto thee that thou shalt lay aside the things of this world, and seek for the things of a better.

11. 11

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoיִנָּתֵןyin/na/TENit shall be givenלָךְlakhyouלִבְחֹרliv/CHORto make a selectionשִׁירֵיshi/REof hymnsקֹדֶשׁKO/deshsacredכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיִנָּתֵןyin/na/TENit shall be givenלָךְlakhyouאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיִיטְבוּyi/te/VUis pleasingבְּעֵינַיbe/e/NAYunto meלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto be hadבִּכְנֵסִיָּתִי׃bikh/ne/siy/ya/TIin my church

    And it shall be given thee, also, to make a selection of sacred hymns, as it shall be given thee, which is pleasing unto me, to be had in my church.

    כִּיkiforחָפְצָהcha/fe/TSAdelightsנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulבְּשִׁירbe/SHIRin the songהַלֵּבhal/LEVof the heartאָכֵןa/KHENyeaשִׁירshirthe songהַצַּדִּיקִיםhats/tsad/di/KIMof the righteousתְּפִלָּהte/fil/LAa prayerהִיאhiisלִיliunto meוְתֵעָנֶהve/te/a/NEand it shall be answeredבִּבְרָכָהbiv/ra/KHAwith a blessingעַלaluponרֹאשָׁם׃ro/SHAMtheir heads

    For my soul delighteth in the song of the heart; yea, the song of the righteous is a prayer unto me, and it shall be answered with a blessing upon their heads.

13. 13

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeהָרִימִיha/RI/milift upלִבֵּךְlib/BEKHyour heartוְגִילִיve/GI/liand rejoiceוְדִבְקִיve/div/KIand cleave untoבַּבְּרִיתוֹתbab/be/ri/TOTthe covenantsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichכָּרַתְּ׃ka/RATTyou made

    Wherefore, lift up thy heart and rejoice, and cleave unto the covenants which thou hast made.

14. 14

    הוֹסִיפִיho/si/FIcontinueבְּרוּחַbe/RU/achin the spiritעֲנָוָהa/na/VAof meeknessוְהִשָּׁמְרִיve/hish/SHAM/riand bewareמִגַּאֲוָהmig/ga/a/VAof prideתִּתְעַנַּגtit/an/NAGlet delightנַפְשֵׁךְnaf/SHEKHyour soulבְּבַעְלֵךְbe/va/LEKHin your husbandוּבַכָּבוֹדu/vak/ka/VODand the gloryאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיָבוֹאya/VOshall comeעָלָיו׃a/LAYVupon him

    Continue in the spirit of meekness, and beware of pride. Let thy soul delight in thy husband, and the glory which shall come upon him.

15. 15

    שִׁמְרִיshim/RIkeepמִצְוֹתַיmits/vo/TAYmy commandmentsתָּמִידta/MIDcontinuallyוַעֲטֶרֶתva/a/TE/retand a crownצְדָקָהtse/da/KAof righteousnessתְּקַבְּלִיte/kab/be/LIyou shall receiveוְאִםve/IMand exceptלֹאlonotתַעֲשִׂיta/a/SIyou doזֹאתzotthisבַּאֲשֶׁרba/a/SHERwhereאֲנִיa/NIIשָׁםshamamלֹאlonotתּוּכְלִיtukh/LIyou canלָבוֹא׃la/VOcome

    Keep my commandments continually, and a crown of righteousness thou shalt receive. And except thou do this, where I am you cannot come.

16. 16

    וְאָמֵןve/a/MENand verilyאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youכִּיkithatזֶהzethis isקוֹלִיko/LImy voiceאֶלeluntoכֻּלָּםkul/LAMallאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

    And verily, verily, I say unto you, that this is my voice unto all. Amen.
