   Behold I, Moroni, do finish the record of my father, Mormon. Behold, I have but few things to write, which things I have been commanded by my father.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterהַמִּלְחָמָהham/mil/cha/MAthe battleהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAthe greatוְהַנּוֹרָאָהve/han/no/ra/Aand tremendousבְּכוּמוֹרָהbe/Khu/mo/RAat Cumorahוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdהַנֶּפִיִּיםhan/Ne/fiy/YIMthe Nephitesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoנִמְלְטוּnim/le/TUescapedאֶל־אֶרֶץel-E/retsunto the landהַנֶּגֶבhan/NE/gevof the southנִרְדְּפוּnir/de/FUwere huntedבִּידֵיbi/DEby the handsהַלָּמָנִיםhal/La/ma/NIMof the Lamanitesעַד־אֲשֶׁרad-a/SHERuntilהֻשְׁמְדוּhush/me/DUwere destroyedכֻּלָּם׃kul/LAMall

   And now it came to pass that after the great and tremendous battle at Cumorah, behold, the Nephites who had escaped into the country southward were hunted by the Lamanites, until they were all destroyed.

   And my father also was killed by them, and I even remain alone to write the sad tale of the destruction of my people. But behold, they are gone, and I fulfil the commandment of my father. And whether they will slay me, I know not.

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeאֶכְתֹּבekh/TOVI shall writeוְאַטְמִיןve/at/MINand hide upאֶת־הַסְּפָרִיםet-has/se/fa/RIMthe recordsבָּאֲדָמָהba/a/da/MAin the earthוְאָנָהve/A/naand whitherאֵלֵךְe/LEKHI goאֵין־דָּבָר׃en-da/VARit matters not

   Therefore I will write and hide up the records in the earth; and whither I go it mattereth not.

   Behold, my father hath made this record, and he hath written the intent thereof. And behold, I would write it also if I had room upon the plates, but I have not; and ore I have none, for I am alone. My father hath been slain in battle, and all my kinsfolk, and I have not friends nor whither to go; and how long the Lord will suffer that I may live I know not.

   Behold, four hundred years have passed away since the coming of our Lord and Savior.

   וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdרָדְפוּra/de/FUhuntedהַלָּמָנִיםhal/La/ma/NIMthe Lamanitesאֶת־עַמִּיet-am/MImy peopleהַנֶּפִיִּיםhan/Ne/fiy/YIMthe Nephitesמֵעִירme/IRfrom cityלְעִירle/IRto cityוּמִמָּקוֹםu/mim/ma/KOMand from placeלְמָקוֹםle/ma/KOMto placeעַד־אֲשֶׁרad-a/SHERuntilאֵינָםe/NAMthey are notעוֹדodmoreוַיְהִיvay/HIand has beenמַפַּלְתָּםmap/pal/TAMtheir fallגְּדוֹלָהge/do/LAgreatאַףafyeaגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatוְנִפְלָאve/nif/LAand marvelousחׇרְבוֹתchor/VOTthe destructionעַמִּיam/MIof my peopleהַנֶּפִיִּים׃han/Ne/fiy/YIMthe Nephites

   And behold, the Lamanites have hunted my people, the Nephites, down from city to city and from place to place, even until they are no more; and great has been their fall; yea, great and marvelous is the destruction of my people, the Nephites.

   וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdיַד־יְהוָהyad-Adonaithe hand of Adonaiעָשְׂתָהa/se/TAdidזֹאתzotthisוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdגַם־הַלָּמָנִיםgam-Hal/la/ma/NIMalso the Lamanitesנִלְחָמִיםnil/cha/MIMare at warאִישׁishoneבְּרֵעֵהוּbe/re/E/huwith anotherוְכׇל־פְּנֵיve/KHOL-pe/NEand the whole faceהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the landהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisמַעְגַּלma/GALis one roundרֶצַחRE/tsachof murderוּשְׁפֹךְu/she/FOKHand the sheddingדָּמִיםda/MIMof bloodתָּמִידta/MIDcontinuallyוְאֵיןve/ENand noneיוֹדֵעַyo/DE/aknowsקֵץketsthe endהַמִּלְחָמָה׃ham/mil/cha/MAof the war

   And behold, it is the hand of the Lord which hath done it. And behold also, the Lamanites are at war one with another; and the whole face of this land is one continual round of murder and bloodshed; and no one knoweth the end of the war.

   וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdלֹאlonotאוֹסִיףo/SIFI will say moreלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERto speakעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMconcerning themכִּיkiforאֵיןenthere is noneנוֹתָרno/TARleftזוּלַתzu/LATsave it beהַלָּמָנִיםhal/La/ma/NIMthe Lamanitesוְשׁוֹדְדִיםve/shod/DIMand robbersעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the faceהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsof the land

   And now, behold, I say no more concerning them, for there are none save it be the Lamanites and robbers that do exist upon the face of the land.

    וְאֵיןve/ENand there are noneיוֹדְעִיםyod/IMthat knowאֶת־אֱלֹהֵיet-e/lo/HEthe Godאֱמֶתe/METof truthזוּלַתzu/LATsave it beתַּלְמִידֵיtal/mi/DEthe disciplesיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aof Jesusאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoנִשְׁאֲרוּnish/a/RUtarriedבָאָרֶץva/A/retsin the landעַד־אֲשֶׁרad-a/SHERuntilגָּדְלָהga/de/LAwas so greatרִשְׁעַתrish/ATthe wickednessהָעָםha/AMof the peopleוְלֹא־נָתַןve/LO-na/TANand would not sufferיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiלָהֶםla/HEMto themלְהִשָּׁאֵרle/hish/sha/ERthat they should remainעִם־הָעָםim-ha/AMwith the peopleוְאִם־הֵםve/IM-hemand whether they beעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the faceהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the landלֹאlonotיָדַעya/DAknowsאִישׁ׃ishman

    And there are none that do know the true God save it be the disciples of Jesus, who did tarry in the land until the wickedness of the people was so great that the Lord would not suffer them to remain with the people; and whether they be upon the face of the land no man knoweth.

    אַךְakhbutהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdרָאִינוּra/I/nusawאוֹתָםo/TAMthemאָבִיa/VImy fatherוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iוְהֵםve/HEMand theyשֵׁרְתוּsher/TUhave ministeredאוֹתָנוּ׃o/TA/nuunto us

    But behold, my father and I have seen them, and they have ministered unto us.

12. 12

    וּמִיu/MIand whosoאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיְקַבֵּלye/kab/BELreceivesאֶת־הַסֵּפֶרet-has/SE/ferthe recordהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְלֹאve/LOand shall notיַרְשִׁיעֶנּוּyar/shi/EN/nucondemn itבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofהַמּוּמִיםham/mu/MIMthe imperfectionsאֲשֶׁר־בּוֹa/SHER-bowhich are in itהוּאhuthe sameיֵדַעye/DAshall knowדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMthingsגְּדוֹלִיםge/do/LIMgreaterמֵאֵלֶּהme/EL/lethan theseהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲנִיa/NIIמוֹרוֹנִיMo/RO/niMoroniוְלוּve/LUand were itיָכֹלְתִּיya/KHOL/tipossibleהוֹדַעְתִּיho/DA/tiI would make knownלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youאֶת־הַכֹּל׃et-hak/KOLall things

    And whoso receiveth this record, and shall not condemn it because of the imperfections which are in it, the same shall know of greater things than these. Behold, I am Moroni; and were it possible, I would make all things known unto you.

13. 13

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲכַלֶּהa/khal/LEI make an endלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERto speakעַל־הָעָםal-ha/AMconcerning the peopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisבֶּן־מוֹרְמוֹןben-MOR/monthe son of Mormonאֲנִיa/NII amוְאָבִיve/a/VIand my fatherמִזֶּרַעmiz/ZE/raa descendantנֶפִי׃NE/fiof Nephi

    Behold, I make an end of speaking concerning this people. I am the son of Mormon, and my father was a descendant of Nephi.

    וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iהוּאhuam the sameהַמַּטְמִיןham/mat/MINthe one who hides upאֶת־הַסֵּפֶרet-has/SE/ferthe recordהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisלַיהוָהla-Adonaiunto Adonaiאֵיןenthere is noעֵרֶךְE/rekhworthלַלּוּחוֹתlal/lu/CHOTfor the platesבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofמִצְוַתmits/VATthe commandmentיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiכִּיkiforאֱמֶתe/METtrulyדִּבֶּרdib/BERhe saidכִּי־לֹאki-lothat notיִהְיוּyih/YUshall they beלְאִישׁle/ISHunto any manלְבֶצַעle/VE/tsafor gainאַךְakhbutהַסֵּפֶרhas/SE/ferthe recordיָקָרya/KARis of worthמְאֹדme/ODgreatוּמִיu/MIand whosoאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיוֹצִיאֶנּוּyo/tsi/en/NUbrings it forthלָאוֹרla/ORto lightיְבָרְכֵהוּye/va/re/khe/HUshall bless himיְהוָה׃AdonaiAdonai

    And I am the same who hideth up this record unto the Lord; the plates thereof are of no worth, because of the commandment of the Lord. For he truly saith that no one shall have them to get gain; but the record thereof is of great worth; and whoso shall bring it to light, him will the Lord bless.

15. 15

    כִּיkiforאֵיןenthere is noכֹּחַKO/achpowerלְאִישׁle/ISHunto any manלְהוֹצִיאוֹle/ho/tsi/Oto bring it forthלָאוֹרla/ORto lightזוּלַתzu/LATsave it beאִם־נִתַּןim-nit/TANif it be givenלוֹlohimמֵאֵתme/ETfromאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodכִּיkiforחָפֵץcha/FETSwillsאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodכִּיkithatיֵעָשֶׂהye/a/SEit shall be doneבְּעַיִןbe/A/yinwith an eyeיְחִידָהye/chi/DAsingleלִכְבוֹדוֹlikh/vo/DOto his gloryאוֹoorלְטוֹבַתle/to/VATfor the welfareעַםamof the peopleבְּרִיתbe/RITof the covenantיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiהַקַּדְמוֹנִיםhak/kad/mo/NIMthe ancientוְהַנְּפוֹצִיםve/han/ne/fo/TSIMand dispersedזֶהzethisיָמִיםya/MIMdaysרַבִּים׃rab/BIMmany

    For none can have power to bring it to light save it be given him of God; for God wills that it shall be done with an eye single to his glory, or the welfare of the ancient and long dispersed covenant people of the Lord.

16. 16

    וּבָרוּךְu/va/RUKHand blessed beהַמּוֹצִיאham/mo/TSIhe that brings forthאֶת־הַדָּבָרet-had/da/VARthe thingהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisלָאוֹרla/ORto lightכִּיkiforיֵצֵאye/TSEit shall be broughtמֵחֹשֶׁךְme/CHO/shekhout of darknessלְאוֹרle/ORto lightכִּדְבַרkid/VARaccording to the wordאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godאַףafyeaיֵצֵאye/TSEit shall be broughtמִן־הָאָרֶץmin-ha/A/retsout of the earthוְיוֹפִיעַve/yo/FI/aand shine forthמֵחֹשֶׁךְme/CHO/shekhout of darknessוּבָאu/VAand comeלְדַעַתle/DA/atto the knowledgeהָעָםha/AMof the peopleוְיֵעָשֶׂהve/ye/a/SEand it shall be doneבִּגְבוּרַתbig/vu/RATby the powerאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMof God

    And blessed be he that shall bring this thing to light; for it shall be brought out of darkness unto light, according to the word of God; yea, it shall be brought out of the earth, and it shall shine forth out of darkness, and come unto the knowledge of the people; and it shall be done by the power of God.

17. 17

    וְאִם־יֵשׁve/IM-yeshand if there beשְׁגָגוֹתshe/ga/GOTfaultsשִׁגְגוֹתshig/GOTfaultsאָדָםa/DAMof a manהֵנָּהHEN/nathey beאַךְakhbutהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdלֹא־יָדַעְנוּlo-ya/DA/nuwe know notשְׁגָגָהshe/ga/GAfaultאׇמְנָםom/NAMneverthelessיוֹדֵעַyo/DE/aknowsאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶת־הַכֹּלet-hak/KOLall thingsלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeהַמַּרְשִׁיעַham/mar/SHI/ahe that condemnsיִשָּׁמֶרyish/SHA/merlet him be awareפֶּן־יִהְיֶהpen-yih/YElest he beחַיַּבchay/YAVin dangerאֵשׁeshof the fireשְׁאוֹל׃she/OLof hell

    And if there be faults they be the faults of a man. But behold, we know no fault; nevertheless God knoweth all things; therefore, he that condemneth, let him be aware lest he shall be in danger of hell fire.

18. 18

    וְהָאוֹמֵרve/ha/o/MERand he that saithהַרְאֵנִיhar/E/nishow meאוֹoorתֻכּוּtuk/KUyou shall be smittenיִשָּׁמֶרyish/SHA/merlet him bewareפֶּן־יְצַוֶּהpen-ye/tsav/VElest he commandאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERthat whichאָסַרa/SARforbadeיְהוָה׃AdonaiAdonai

    And he that saith: Show unto me, or ye shall be smitten—let him beware lest he commandeth that which is forbidden of the Lord.

19. 19

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהַשּׁוֹפֵטhash/sho/FEThe that judgesבְּפַחַזbe/FA/chazrashlyיִשָּׁפֵטyish/sha/FETshall be judgedבְּפַחַזbe/FA/chazrashlyשֵׁנִיתshe/NITagainכִּיkiforכְמַעֲשָׂיוkhe/ma/a/SAYVaccording to his worksכֵּןkenthusשְׂכָרוֹse/kha/ROhis wagesלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeהַמַּכֶּהham/mak/KEhe that smitesיֻכֶּהyuk/KEshall be smittenשֵׁנִיתshe/NITagainמֵאֵתme/ETofיְהוָה׃AdonaiAdonai

    For behold, the same that judgeth rashly shall be judged rashly again; for according to his works shall his wages be; therefore, he that smiteth shall be smitten again, of the Lord.

20. 20

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhatאָמַרa/MARsaysהַכָּתוּבhak/ka/TUVthe scriptureלֹא־יַכֶּהlo-yak/KEshall not smiteאָדָםa/DAMmanוְלֹאve/LOnorיִשְׁפֹּטyish/POTshall he judgeכִּיkiforהַמִּשְׁפָּטham/mish/PATjudgmentלִיliis mineנְאֻם־יְהוָהne/UM-Adonaisaith Adonaiוְגַם־הַנָּקָםve/GAM-han/na/KAMand vengeance alsoלִיliis mineוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֲשַׁלֵּם׃a/shal/LEMwill repay

    Behold what the scripture says—man shall not smite, neither shall he judge; for judgment is mine, saith the Lord, and vengeance is mine also, and I will repay.

21. 21

    וְהַמּוֹצִיאve/ham/mo/TSIand he that breathes outחֲרוֹןcha/RONwrathוּמְרִיבוֹתu/me/ri/VOTand strifesנֶגֶדNE/gedagainstפֹּעַלPO/althe workיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiוְנֶגֶדve/NE/gedand againstעַםamthe peopleבְּרִיתbe/RITof the covenantיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהֵםhemareבֵּית־יִשְׂרָאֵלbet-Yis/ra/ELthe house of Israelוְאָמַרve/a/MARand shall sayנַשְׁחִיתnash/CHITwe will destroyאֶת־פֹּעַלet-PO/althe workיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiוְלֹא־יִזְכֹּרve/LO-yiz/KORand shall not rememberיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֶת־בְּרִיתוֹet-be/ri/TOhis covenantאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichכָּרַתka/RAThe madeעִם־בֵּיתim-betwith the houseיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELof Israelהוּאhuthe sameחַיָּבchay/YAVis in dangerלְהִכָּרֵתle/hik/ka/RETto be hewn downוּלְהֻשְׁלַךְu/le/hush/LAKHand castבָּאֵשׁ׃ba/ESHinto the fire

    And he that shall breathe out wrath and strifes against the work of the Lord, and against the covenant people of the Lord who are the house of Israel, and shall say: We will destroy the work of the Lord, and the Lord will not remember his covenant which he hath made unto the house of Israel—the same is in danger to be hewn down and cast into the fire;

22. 22

    כִּיkiforמַחְשְׁבוֹתmach/she/VOTthe purposesיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiאֲשֶׁר־לְעוֹלָםa/SHER-le/o/LAMthe eternalתִּתְגַּלְגַּלְנָהtit/gal/gal/NAshall roll onעַד־אֲשֶׁרad-a/SHERuntilיִשָּׁלְמוּyish/sha/le/MUshall be fulfilledכׇּלkolallדְּבָרָיו׃de/va/RAYVhis promises

    For the eternal purposes of the Lord shall roll on, until all his promises shall be fulfilled.

    Search the prophecies of Isaiah. Behold, I cannot write them. Yea, behold I say unto you, that those saints who have gone before me, who have possessed this land, shall cry, yea, even from the dust will they cry unto the Lord; and as the Lord liveth he will remember the covenant which he hath made with them.

    And he knoweth their prayers, that they were in behalf of their brethren. And he knoweth their faith, for in his name could they remove mountains; and in his name could they cause the earth to shake; and by the power of his word did they cause prisons to tumble to the earth; yea, even the fiery furnace could not harm them, neither wild beasts nor poisonous serpents, because of the power of his word.

25. 25

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdתְפִלּוֹתֵיהֶםte/fil/lo/te/HEMtheir prayersהָיוּha/YUwereגַםgamalsoבְּעַדbe/ADon behalfאֲשֶׁרa/SHERof him thatיִתֵּןyit/TENshould sufferיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiלְהוֹצִיאle/ho/TSIto bring forthאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּה׃ha/EL/lethese

    And behold, their prayers were also in behalf of him that the Lord should suffer to bring these things forth.

26. 26

    וְאַל־יֹאמַרve/AL-yo/MARand let not sayאִישׁishany oneכִּי־לֹאki-lothat notיָבֹאוּya/VO/uthey shall comeכִּיkiforבּוֹאbosurelyיָבֹאוּya/VO/uthey shall comeכִּי־יְהוָהki-Adonaifor Adonaiדִּבֶּרdib/BERspokeכִּיkiforמִן־הָאֲדָמָהmin-ha/a/da/MAfrom the earthיֵצְאוּyets/Uthey shall go forthבְּיַד־יְהוָהbe/YAD-Adonaiby the hand of Adonaiוְאֵיןve/ENand there is noneמוֹנֵעַmo/NE/acan stayוְיָבֹאוּve/ya/VO/uand it shall comeבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin a dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenיֵאָמֵרye/a/MERit shall be saidכִּיkithatחָדְלוּcha/de/LUare done awayהַנִּפְלָאוֹתhan/nif/la/OTthe miraclesוְיָבֹאוּve/ya/VO/uand it shall comeכְּמוֹke/MOas ifדִּבֶּרdib/BERshould speakאֶחָדe/CHADoneמִן־הַמֵּתִים׃min-ham/me/TIMfrom the dead

    And no one need say they shall not come, for they surely shall, for the Lord hath spoken it; for out of the earth shall they come, by the hand of the Lord, and none can stay it; and it shall come in a day when it shall be said that miracles are done away; and it shall come even as if one should speak from the dead.

27. 27

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin a dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenיִזְעַקyiz/AKshall cryדַּםdamthe bloodקְדוֹשִׁיםke/do/SHIMof saintsאֶל־יְהוָהel-Adonaiunto Adonaiבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofקִשְׁרֵיkish/REcombinationsסֵתֶרSE/terof secretוּמַעֲשֵׂיu/ma/a/SEand worksחֹשֶׁךְ׃CHO/shekhof darkness

    And it shall come in a day when the blood of saints shall cry unto the Lord, because of secret combinations and the works of darkness.

28. 28

    אַףafyeaיָבוֹאya/VOshall comeבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin a dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenיְכַחֲשׁוּye/kha/cha/SHUthey shall denyבִּגְבוּרַתbig/vu/RATin the powerאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godוְיִטַּמְּאוּve/yit/tam/me/Uand shall become defiledהַקְּהִלּוֹתhak/ke/hil/LOTthe churchesוְיִתְנַשְּׂאוּve/yit/nas/se/Uand shall be lifted upבְּגַאֲוַתbe/ga/a/VATin the prideלִבָּםlib/BAMof their heartsהֵןhenyeaבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin a dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenיָקוּמוּya/KU/mushall ariseרָאשֵׁיra/SHEleadersקְהִלּוֹתke/hil/LOTof churchesוּמוֹרִיםu/mo/RIMand teachersבְּגַאֲוַתbe/ga/a/VATin the prideלִבָּםlib/BAMof their heartsעַד־קִנְאַתad-kin/ATeven to the envyingאֲנָשֵׁיa/na/SHEof those who belong toקְהִלּוֹתֵיהֶם׃ke/hil/lo/te/HEMtheir churches

    Yea, it shall come in a day when the power of God shall be denied, and churches become defiled and be lifted up in the pride of their hearts; yea, even in a day when leaders of churches and teachers shall rise in the pride of their hearts, even to the envying of them who belong to their churches.

29. 29

    הֵןhenyeaיָבוֹאya/VOshall comeבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin a dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenיִשָּׁמְעוּyish/SHAM/uthere shall be heardאֵשׁeshfiresוּסְעָרוֹתu/se/a/ROTand tempestsוְתִימְרוֹתve/ti/me/ROTand vaporsעָשָׁןa/SHANof smokeבְּאַרְצוֹתbe/ar/TSOTin landsנׇכְרִיּוֹת׃nokh/riy/YOTforeign

    Yea, it shall come in a day when there shall be heard of fires, and tempests, and vapors of smoke in foreign lands;

30. 30

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoיִשָּׁמְעוּyish/SHAM/uthere shall be heardמִלְחָמוֹתmil/cha/MOTof warsוּשְׁמוּעוֹתu/she/mu/OTand rumorsמִלְחָמָהmil/cha/MAof warוְרַעֲשֵׁיve/ra/a/SHEand earthquakesאֲדָמָהa/da/MAof earthבִּמְקֹמוֹתbim/ko/MOTin placesרַבִּים׃rab/BIMdivers

    And there shall also be heard of wars, rumors of wars, and earthquakes in divers places.

31. 31

    הֵןhenyeaיָבוֹאya/VOshall comeבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin a dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenתִּהְיֶינָהtih/YE/nathere shall beטֻמְאוֹתtum/OTpollutionsגְּדוֹלוֹתge/do/LOTgreatעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the faceהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthיִהְיוּyih/YUthere shall beדָּמִיםda/MIMmurdersוּגְזֵלוֹתu/ge/ze/LOTand robbingsוּכְזָבִיםu/khe/za/VIMand lyingsוּמִרְמוֹתu/mir/MOTand deceivingsוּזְנוּנִיםu/ze/nu/NIMand whoredomsוְכׇל־תּוֹעֵבוֹתve/KHOL-to/e/VOTand all manner of abominationsוְרַבִּיםve/rab/BIMand manyיֹאמְרוּyo/me/RUshall sayעֲשֵׂהa/SEdoזֶהzethisאוֹoorעֲשֵׂהa/SEdoזֶהzethatוְאֵיןve/ENand there is noדָּבָרda/VARmatterכִּי־יְהוָהki-Adonaifor Adonaiיִתְמֹךְyit/MOKHwill upholdבָּאֵלֶּהba/EL/lesuchבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMat the dayהָאַחֲרוֹןha/a/cha/RONthe lastאַךְakhbutאוֹיoywoלָהֶםla/HEMto themכִּיkiforהֵםhemtheyבִּמְרוֹרַתbim/ro/RATin the gallרוֹשׁroshof bitternessוּבְכַבְלֵיu/ve/khav/LEand in the bondsעָוֹן׃a/VONof iniquity

    Yea, it shall come in a day when there shall be great pollutions upon the face of the earth; there shall be murders, and robbing, and lying, and deceivings, and whoredoms, and all manner of abominations; when there shall be many who will say, Do this, or do that, and it mattereth not, for the Lord will uphold such at the last day. But wo unto such, for they are in the gall of bitterness and in the bonds of iniquity.

32. 32

    הֵןhenyeaיָבוֹאya/VOshall comeבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin a dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenתִּבָּנֶינָהtib/ba/NE/nashall be built upקְהִלּוֹתke/hil/LOTchurchesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתֹּאמַרְנָהto/MAR/nashall sayבֹּאוּBO/ucomeאֵלַיe/LAYto meוּבְכַסְפְּכֶםu/ve/khas/pe/KHEMand for your moneyיְכֻפַּרye/khup/PARshall be forgivenלָכֶםla/KHEMyouמֵחַטֹּאתֵיכֶם׃me/chat/to/te/KHEMof your sins

    Yea, it shall come in a day when there shall be churches built up that shall say: Come unto me, and for your money you shall be forgiven of your sins.

33. 33

    הוֹיhoyOעַםampeopleרָשָׁעra/SHAwickedוּפְתַלְתֹּלu/fe/tal/TOLand perverseוּקְשֵׁה־עֹרֶףu/ke/SHE-O/refand stiffneckedלָמָּהLAM/mawhyבְּנִיתֶםbe/ni/TEMhave you built upלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youקְהִלּוֹתke/hil/LOTchurchesלְבֶצַעle/VE/tsafor gainלָמָּהLAM/mawhyשִׁנִּיתֶםshin/ni/TEMhave you transfiguredאֶת־דְּבַר־אֱלֹהִיםet-de/VAR-e/lo/HIMthe word of Godהַקָּדוֹשׁhak/ka/DOSHthe holyלְהָבִיאle/ha/VIthat you might bringקְלָלָהke/la/LAdamnationעַל־נַפְשׁוֹתֵיכֶםal-naf/sho/te/KHEMupon your soulsהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהַבִּיטוּhab/BI/tulookאֶל־חֲזוֹנוֹתel-cha/zo/NOTunto the revelationsאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godכִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdבָּאbacomesהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenכׇּל־הַדְּבָרִיםkol-had/de/va/RIMall the thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseיִשָּׁלְמוּ׃yish/sha/le/MUmust be fulfilled

    O ye wicked and perverse and stiffnecked people, why have ye built up churches unto yourselves to get gain? Why have ye transfigured the holy word of God, that ye might bring damnation upon your souls? Behold, look ye unto the revelations of God; for behold, the time cometh at that day when all these things must be fulfilled.

34. 34

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהֶרְאַנִיher/a/NIshowed meיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMthingsגְּדוֹלִיםge/do/LIMgreatוְנִפְלָאִיםve/nif/la/IMand marvelousעַל־אֲשֶׁרal-a/SHERconcerning that whichיָבוֹאya/VOshall comeמְהֵרָהme/he/RAshortlyבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMat the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenיֵצְאוּyets/Ushall come forthהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseבְּקִרְבְּכֶם׃be/kir/be/KHEMamong you

    Behold, the Lord hath shown unto me great and marvelous things concerning that which must shortly come, at that day when these things shall come forth among you.

35. 35

    Behold, I speak unto you as if ye were present, and yet ye are not. But behold, Jesus Christ hath shown you unto me, and I know your doing.

36. 36

    וְיָדַעְתִּיve/ya/DA/tiand I knowכִּיkithatתִתְהַלְּכוּtit/hal/le/KHUyou walkבְּגַאֲוַתbe/ga/a/VATin the prideלְבַבְכֶםle/vav/KHEMof your heartsוְאֵיןve/ENand there are noneזוּלַתzu/LATsaveמְעַטִּיםme/at/TIMa few onlyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoלֹאlonotיִתְנַשְּׂאוּyit/nas/se/Uare lifted upבְּגַאֲוַתbe/ga/a/VATin the prideלְבָבָםle/va/VAMof their heartsלִלְבֹּשׁlil/BOSHto wearבְּגָדִיםbe/ga/DIMgarmentsיְקָרִיםye/ka/RIMfineמְאֹדme/ODveryלְקִנְאָהle/kin/Aunto envyingוּמְרִיבוֹתu/me/ri/VOTand strifesוְשִׂנְאָהve/sin/Aand maliceוּרְדִיפוֹתu/re/di/FOTand persecutionsוְכׇל־מִינֵיve/KHOL-mi/NEand all mannerעֲוֹנוֹתa/vo/NOTof iniquitiesוּקְהִלּוֹתֵיכֶםu/ke/hil/lo/te/KHEMand your churchesאַףafyeaכֻּלָּןkul/LANevery oneנִטְמְאוּnit/me/Ubecame pollutedמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofגַאֲוַתga/a/VATthe prideלְבַבְכֶם׃le/vav/KHEMof your hearts

    And I know that ye do walk in the pride of your hearts; and there are none save a few only who do not lift themselves up in the pride of their hearts, unto the wearing of very fine apparel, unto envying, and strifes, and malice, and persecutions, and all manner of iniquities; and your churches, yea, even every one, have become polluted because of the pride of your hearts.

37. 37

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdתֶּאֶהֲבוּte/e/ha/VUyou loveכֶסֶףKHE/sefmoneyוְקִנְיַנְכֶםve/kin/yan/KHEMand your substanceוּבִגְדֵיכֶםu/vig/de/KHEMand your garmentsהַיְקָרִיםhay/ka/RIMthe costlyוַעֲדִיva/a/DIand the adorningקְהִלּוֹתֵיכֶםke/hil/lo/te/KHEMof your churchesיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreמֵאַהֲבַתְכֶםme/a/ha/vat/KHEMthan you loveאֶת־הָעֲנִיִּיםet-ha/a/niy/YIMthe poorוְהָאֶבְיוֹנִיםve/ha/ev/yo/NIMand the needyהַחוֹלִיםha/cho/LIMthe sickוְהַנִּדְכָּאִים׃ve/han/nid/ka/IMand the afflicted

    For behold, ye do love money, and your substance, and your fine apparel, and the adorning of your churches, more than ye love the poor and the needy, the sick and the afflicted.

38. 38

    הוֹיhoyOטְמֵאִיםte/me/IMyou pollutionsחֲנֵפִיםcha/ne/FIMyou hypocritesמוֹרִיםmo/RIMyou teachersהַמּוֹכְרִיםham/mokh/RIMwho sellנַפְשְׁכֶםnaf/she/KHEMyourselvesבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURforהַנִּרְקָבhan/nir/KAVthat which will cankerלָמָּהLAM/mawhyטִמֵּאתֶםtim/me/TEMhave you pollutedאֶת־קְהִלַּתet-ke/hil/LATthe churchאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godהַקְּדוֹשָׁהhak/ke/do/SHAthe holyלָמָּהLAM/mawhyתֵבוֹשׁוּte/vo/SHUare you ashamedלָשֵׂאתla/SETto take upon youאֶת־שֵׁםet-shemthe nameהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achof ChristלָמָּהLAM/mawhyלֹאlonotתַחְשְׁבוּtach/she/VUdo you thinkכִּיkithatגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreater isעֵרֶךְE/rekhthe valueאֹשֶׁרO/sherof happinessאֵין־קֵץen-ketsendlessמֵעֹנִיme/O/nithan that miseryאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹאlonotיָמוּתya/MUTdiesמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofתְהִלַּתte/hil/LATthe praiseהָעוֹלָם׃ha/o/LAMof the world

    O ye pollutions, ye hypocrites, ye teachers, who sell yourselves for that which will canker, why have ye polluted the holy church of God? Why are ye ashamed to take upon you the name of Christ? Why do ye not think that greater is the value of an endless happiness than that misery which never dies—because of the praise of the world?

39. 39

    לָמָּהLAM/mawhyתִתְעַדּוּtit/ad/DUdo adorn yourselvesבַּאֲשֶׁרba/a/SHERwith that whichאֵין־בּוֹen-bohas noחַיִּיםchay/YIMlifeוְתַנִּיחוּve/tan/ni/CHUand yet sufferלָרְעֵבִיםla/re/e/VIMthe hungryוְלָאֶבְיוֹנִיםve/la/ev/yo/NIMand the needyוְלַעֲרֻמִּיםve/la/a/rum/MIMand the nakedוְלַחוֹלִיםve/la/cho/LIMand the sickוְלַנִּדְכָּאִיםve/lan/nid/ka/IMand the afflictedלַעֲבֹרla/a/VORto passעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMby youוְלֹאve/LOnorתִרְאוּם׃tir/UMnotice them

    Why do ye adorn yourselves with that which hath no life, and yet suffer the hungry, and the needy, and the naked, and the sick and the afflicted to pass by you, and notice them not?

40. 40

    הֵןhenyeaלָמָּהLAM/mawhyתִבְנוּtiv/NUdo you build upתּוֹעֲבוֹתֵיכֶםto/a/vo/te/KHEMyour abominationsהַנִּסְתָּרוֹתhan/nis/ta/ROTthe secretלְבֶצַעle/VE/tsafor gainוְתָבִיאוּve/ta/VI/uand causeאַלְמָנוֹתal/ma/NOTwidowsלִבְכּוֹתliv/KOTto mournלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiוְגַםve/GAMand alsoיְתוֹמִיםye/to/MIMorphansלִבְכּוֹתliv/KOTto mournלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiוְגַםve/GAMand alsoדַּםdamthe bloodאֲבוֹתֵיהֶםa/vo/te/HEMof their fathersוּבַעֲלֵיהֶןu/va/a/le/HENand their husbandsלִזְעֹקliz/OKto cryאֶל־יְהוָהel-Adonaiunto Adonaiמִן־הָאֲדָמָהmin-ha/a/da/MAfrom the groundלְנָקָםle/na/KAMfor vengeanceעַל־רָאשֵׁיכֶם׃al-ra/she/KHEMupon your heads

    Yea, why do ye build up your secret abominations to get gain, and cause that widows should mourn before the Lord, and also orphans to mourn before the Lord, and also the blood of their fathers and their husbands to cry unto the Lord from the ground, for vengeance upon your heads?

41. 41

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdחֶרֶבCHE/revthe swordהַנָּקָםhan/na/KAMof vengeanceתְּלוּיָהte/lu/YAhangsעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMover youוּמְהֵרָהu/me/he/RAand soonיָבוֹאya/VOshall comeהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe timeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיִנְקֹםyin/KOMhe shall avengeאֶת־דַּםet-damthe bloodהַקְּדוֹשִׁיםhak/ke/do/SHIMof the saintsמִכֶּםmik/KEMupon youכִּי־לֹאki-lofor notיִסְבֹּלyis/BOLhe shall sufferעוֹדodmoreאֶת־זַעֲקָתָם׃et-za/a/ka/TAMtheir cries

    Behold, the sword of vengeance hangeth over you; and the time soon cometh that he avengeth the blood of the saints upon you, for he will not suffer their cries any longer.
