   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatשָׁפַטsha/FATjudgedאוֹרִיהָהO/RI/haOrihahאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landבְּצֶדֶקbe/TSE/dekin righteousnessכׇּל־יָמָיוkol-ya/MAYVall his daysוְיָמָיוve/ya/MAYVand his daysהָיוּha/YUwereרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyמְאֹד׃me/ODexceedingly

   And it came to pass that Orihah did execute judgment upon the land in righteousness all his days, whose days were exceedingly many.

   וַיּוֹלֶדvay/YO/ledand he begatבָּנִיםba/NIMsonsוּבָנוֹתu/va/NOTand daughtersאַףafyeaהוֹלִידho/LIDbegatשְׁלֹשִׁיםshe/lo/SHIMthirtyוְאֶחָדve/e/CHADand oneוּבָהֶםu/va/HEMand among themעֶשְׂרִיםes/RIMtwentyוּשְׁלֹשָׁהu/she/lo/SHAand threeבָּנִים׃ba/NIMsons

   And he begat sons and daughters; yea, he begat thirty and one, among whom were twenty and three sons.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatהוֹלִידho/LIDbegatגַּםgamalsoאֶת־קִיבet-KivKibלְעֵתle/ETat the timeזִקְנָתוֹzik/na/TOof his old ageוַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatמָלַךְma/LAKHreignedקִיבKivKibתַּחְתָּיוtach/TAYVin his steadוַיּוֹלֶדvay/YO/ledand he begatקִיבKivKibאֶת־כּוֹרִיהוֹר׃et-KO/ri/horCorihor

   And it came to pass that he also begat Kib in his old age. And it came to pass that Kib reigned in his stead; and Kib begat Corihor.

   And when Corihor was thirty and two years old he rebelled against his father, and went over and dwelt in the land of Nehor; and he begat sons and daughters, and they became exceedingly fair; wherefore Corihor drew away many people after him.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenאָסַףa/SAFhe gatheredצָבָאtsa/VAan armyוַיַּעַלvay/YA/aland he came upאֶל־אֶרֶץel-E/retsto the landמוֹרוֹןMO/ronof Moronאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיָשַׁבya/SHAVdweltשָׁםshamthereהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingוַיִּקָּחֵהוּvay/yik/ka/CHE/huand he took himשְׁבִיshe/VIcaptiveוַיָּקֶםvay/YA/kemand fulfilledדְּבַרde/VARthe wordאֲחִיa/CHIof the brotherיֶרֶדYE/redof Jaredאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאָמַרa/MARhe saidכִּיkithatיוּבְאוּyuv/Uthey would be broughtלַשֶּׁבִי׃lash/SHE/viinto captivity

   And when he had gathered together an army he came up unto the land of Moron where the king dwelt, and took him captive, which brought to pass the saying of the brother of Jared that they would be brought into captivity.

   וְאֶרֶץve/E/retsand the landמוֹרוֹןMO/ronof Moronאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיָשַׁבya/SHAVdweltבָּהּbain itהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingקְרוֹבָהke/ro/VAnearלָאָרֶץla/A/retsto the landאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichקָרְאוּka/re/Ucalledלָהּlaitהַנֶּפִיִּיםhan/Ne/fiy/YIMthe Nephitesשְׁמָמָה׃She/ma/MADesolation

   Now the land of Moron, where the king dwelt, was near the land which is called Desolation by the Nephites.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatיָשַׁבya/SHAVdweltקִיבKivKibבַּשֶּׁבִיbash/SHE/viin captivityוְעַמּוֹve/am/MOand his peopleתַּחַתTA/chatunderכּוֹרִיהוֹרKO/ri/horCorihorבְּנוֹbe/NOhis sonעַד־אֲשֶׁרad-a/SHERuntilזָקֵןza/KENhe became oldמְאֹדme/ODexceedinglyאַךְakhbutהוֹלִידho/LIDbegatקִיבKivKibאֶת־שׁוּלֶהet-SHU/leShuleלְעֵתle/ETat the timeזִקְנָתוֹzik/na/TOof his old ageבְּעוֹדוֹbe/o/DOwhile he was yetבַּשֶּׁבִי׃bash/SHE/viin captivity

   And it came to pass that Kib dwelt in captivity, and his people under Corihor his son, until he became exceedingly old; nevertheless Kib begat Shule in his old age, while he was yet in captivity.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatקָצַףka/TSAFwas angryשׁוּלֶהSHU/leShuleעַל־אָחִיוal-a/CHIVwith his brotherוַיֶּחֱזַקvay/ye/che/ZAKand waxed strongשׁוּלֶהSHU/leShuleוַיְהִיvay/HIand becameגִבּוֹרgib/BORmightyבְּכֹחַbe/KHO/achin the strengthאִישׁishof a manוְגַםve/GAMand alsoהָיָהha/YAwasגִבּוֹרgib/BORmightyבַּמִּשְׁפָּט׃bam/mish/PATin judgment

   And it came to pass that Shule was angry with his brother; and Shule waxed strong, and became mighty as to the strength of a man; and he was also mighty in judgment.

   וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand he cameאֶל־הַרel-harto the hillאֶפְרַיִםEf/RA/yimEphraimוַיַּתֵּךְvay/yat/TEKHand he did moltenמִן־הָהָרmin-ha/HARout of the hillוַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand he madeחֲרָבוֹתcha/ra/VOTswordsפְּלָדָהpe/la/DAof steelלַאֲשֶׁרla/a/SHERfor those whomמָשַׁךְma/SHAKHhe drew awayאַחֲרָיוa/cha/RAYVafter himוְאַחֲרֵיve/a/cha/REand afterאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatחִזְּקָםchiz/ze/KAMhe armed themבַּחֲרָבוֹתba/cha/ra/VOTwith swordsוַיָּשׇׁבvay/YA/shovand he returnedאֶל־עִירel-irunto the cityנְהוֹרNE/horof Nehorוַיִּלָּחֶםvay/yil/LA/chemand he foughtעִם־אָחִיוim-a/CHIVwith his brotherכּוֹרִיהוֹרKO/ri/horCorihorוּבָזֹאתu/va/ZOTand by thisלָכַדla/KHADhe tookאֶת־הַמַּמְלָכָהet-ham/mam/la/KHAthe kingdomוַיְשִׁיבֶהָvay/shi/VE/haand restored itלְאָבִיוle/a/VIVto his fatherקִיב׃KivKib

   Wherefore, he came to the hill Ephraim, and he did molten out of the hill, and made swords out of steel for those whom he had drawn away with him; and after he had armed them with swords he returned to the city Nehor, and gave battle unto his brother Corihor, by which means he obtained the kingdom and restored it unto his father Kib.

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe thingאֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂהa/SHER-a/SAwhich didשׁוּלֶהSHU/leShuleנָתַן־לוֹna/TAN-logave himאָבִיוa/VIVhis fatherאֶת־הַמַּמְלָכָהet-ham/mam/la/KHAthe kingdomוַיָּחֶלvay/YA/cheland beganלִמְלֹךְlim/LOKHto reignתַּחַתTA/chatin the stead ofאָבִיו׃a/VIVhis father

    And now because of the thing which Shule had done, his father bestowed upon him the kingdom; therefore he began to reign in the stead of his father.

11. 11

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatשָׁפַטsha/FATjudgedבְּצֶדֶקbe/TSE/dekin righteousnessוַיִּפְרֹשׂvay/yif/ROSand he spreadאֶת־מַמְלַכְתּוֹet-mam/lakh/TOhis kingdomעַל־כׇּל־פְּנֵיal-kol-pe/NEupon all the faceהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the landכִּיkiforרַבravnumerousהָעָםha/AMthe peopleמְאֹד׃me/ODexceedingly

    And it came to pass that he did execute judgment in righteousness; and he did spread his kingdom upon all the face of the land, for the people had become exceedingly numerous.

12. 12

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatהוֹלִידho/LIDbegatשׁוּלֶהSHU/leShuleגַם־הוּאgam-hualsoבָּנִיםba/NIMsonsוּבָנוֹתu/va/NOTand daughtersרַבִּים׃rab/BIMmany

    And it came to pass that Shule also begat many sons and daughters.

13. 13

    וַיִּנָּחֵםvay/yin/na/CHEMand repentedכּוֹרִיהוֹרKO/ri/horCorihorעַל־הָרָעוֹתal-ha/ra/OTof the evilsהָרַבּוֹתha/rab/BOTthe manyאֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂהa/SHER-a/SAwhich he didוַיִּתֶּן־לוֹvay/YIT/ten-loand gave himשׁוּלֶהSHU/leShuleכֹּחַKO/achpowerבְּמַמְלַכְתּוֹ׃be/mam/lakh/TOin his kingdom

    And Corihor repented of the many evils which he had done; wherefore Shule gave him power in his kingdom.

14. 14

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatהָיוּha/YUwereלְכוֹרִיהוֹרle/KHO/ri/horto Corihorבָּנִיםba/NIMsonsוּבָנוֹתu/va/NOTand daughtersרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוּבֵיןu/VENand amongבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sonsכוֹרִיהוֹרKHO/ri/horof Corihorהָיָהha/YAwasאֶחָדe/CHADoneוּשְׁמוֹu/she/MOand his name wasנֹחַ׃NO/achNoah

    And it came to pass that Corihor had many sons and daughters. And among the sons of Corihor there was one whose name was Noah.

15. 15

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatמָרַדma/RADrebelledנֹחַNO/achNoahבְּשׁוּלֶהbe/SHU/leagainst Shuleהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingוְגַםve/GAMand alsoבְּאָבִיוbe/a/VIVagainst his fatherכּוֹרִיהוֹרKO/ri/horCorihorוַיַּטvay/YATand drew awayאֶת־כּוֹהוֹרet-KO/horCohorאָחִיוa/CHIVhis brotherוְגַםve/GAMand alsoאֶת־כׇּל־אֶחָיוet-kol-e/CHAYVall his brethrenוְרַבִּיםve/rab/BIMand manyמִן־הָעָם׃min-ha/AMof the people

    And it came to pass that Noah rebelled against Shule, the king, and also his father Corihor, and drew away Cohor his brother, and also all his brethren and many of the people.

16. 16

    וַיִּלָּחֶםvay/yil/LA/chemand he foughtבְּשׁוּלֶהbe/SHU/leagainst Shuleהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingוַיִּלְכֹּדvay/yil/KODand he tookאֶת־אֶרֶץet-E/retsthe landנַחֲלָתָםna/cha/la/TAMof their inheritanceהָרִאשׁוֹנָהha/ri/sho/NAfirstוַיְהִיvay/HIand he becameלְמֶלֶךְle/ME/lekha kingעַל־הַחֵלֶקal-ha/CHE/lekover the partהַהוּאha/HUthatמִן־הָאָרֶץ׃min-ha/A/retsof the land

    And he gave battle unto Shule, the king, in which he did obtain the land of their first inheritance; and he became a king over that part of the land.

17. 17

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatנִלְחַםnil/CHAMhe foughtשֵׁנִיתshe/NITagainבְּשׁוּלֶהbe/SHU/leagainst Shuleהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingוַיִּקַּחvay/yik/KACHand tookאֶת־שׁוּלֶהet-SHU/leShuleהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingוַיּוֹלִיכֵהוּvay/yo/li/khe/HUand carried him awayשְׁבִיshe/VIcaptiveלְמוֹרוֹן׃le/MO/ronto Moron

    And it came to pass that he gave battle again unto Shule, the king; and he took Shule, the king, and carried him away captive into Moron.

18. 18

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenעָמַדa/MADhe was aboutלַהֲמִיתוֹla/ha/mi/TOto put him to deathוַיִּתְגַּנְּבוּvay/yit/gan/ne/VUand creptבְנֵיve/NEthe sonsשׁוּלֶהSHU/leof Shuleבַּלַּיְלָהbal/LAY/lain the nightאֶל־בֵּיתel-betto the houseנֹחַNO/achof Noahוַיַּהַרְגֻהוּvay/ya/har/GU/huand they slew himוַיִּפְרְצוּvay/yif/re/TSUand they broke downאֶת־דֶּלֶתet-DE/letthe doorהַכֶּלֶאhak/KE/leof the prisonוַיּוֹצִיאוּvay/yo/TSI/uand they brought outאֶת־אֲבִיהֶםet-a/vi/HEMtheir fatherוַיּוֹשִׁיבֻהוּvay/yo/shi/vu/HUand placed himעַל־כִּסְאוֹal-kis/Oupon his throneבְּמַמְלַכְתּוֹ׃be/mam/lakh/TOin his kingdom

    And it came to pass as he was about to put him to death, the sons of Shule crept into the house of Noah by night and slew him, and broke down the door of the prison and brought out their father, and placed him upon his throne in his own kingdom.

19. 19

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeהֵקִיםhe/KIMbuilt upבֶּן־נֹחַben-NO/achthe son of Noahאֶת־מַמְלַכְתּוֹet-mam/lakh/TOhis kingdomתַּחְתָּיוtach/TAYVin his steadאַךְakhbutלֹא־הִשִּׂיגוּlo-his/SI/guthey did not gainעוֹדodany moreכֹּחַKO/achpowerעַל־שׁוּלֶהal-SHU/leover Shuleהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingוְהָעָםve/ha/AMand the peopleאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתַּחַתTA/chatunderמֶמְשֶׁלֶתmem/SHE/letthe reignשׁוּלֶהSHU/leof Shuleהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingהִצְלִיחוּhits/li/CHUprosperedמְאֹדme/ODexceedinglyוַיִּגְדְּלוּ׃vay/yig/de/LUand waxed great

    Wherefore, the son of Noah did build up his kingdom in his stead; nevertheless they did not gain power any more over Shule the king, and the people who were under the reign of Shule the king did prosper exceedingly and wax great.

    וַתֵּחָלֵקvat/te/cha/LEKand was dividedהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe countryוַתִּהְיֶינָהvat/tih/YE/naand there wereשְׁתֵּיshtetwoמַמְלָכוֹתmam/la/KHOTkingdomsמַמְלֶכֶתmam/LE/khetthe kingdomשׁוּלֶהSHU/leof Shuleוּמַמְלֶכֶתu/mam/LE/khetand the kingdomכּוֹהוֹרKO/horof Cohorבֶּן־נֹחַ׃ben-NO/achthe son of Noah

    And the country was divided; and there were two kingdoms, the kingdom of Shule, and the kingdom of Cohor, the son of Noah.

21. 21

    וַיְצַוvay/TSAVand commandedכּוֹהוֹרKO/horCohorבֶּן־נֹחַben-NO/achthe son of Noahכִּיkithatיִלָּחֲמוּyil/la/cha/MUshould fightעַמּוֹam/MOhis peopleבְּשׁוּלֶהbe/SHU/leagainst Shuleוַיַּכֵּםvay/yak/KEMand beat themשׁוּלֶהSHU/leShuleוַיַּהֲרֹגvay/ya/ha/ROGand slewאֶת־כּוֹהוֹר׃et-KO/horCohor

    And Cohor, the son of Noah, caused that his people should give battle unto Shule, in which Shule did beat them and did slay Cohor.

22. 22

    וּלְכוֹהוֹרu/Le/kho/HORand to Cohorהָיָהha/YAwasבֵןvena sonוּשְׁמוֹu/she/MOand his name wasנִמְרוֹדNim/RODNimrodוַיַּעֲזֹבvay/ya/a/ZOVand gave upנִמְרוֹדNim/RODNimrodאֶת־מַמְלֶכֶתet-mam/LE/khetthe kingdomכּוֹהוֹרKO/horof Cohorלְשׁוּלֶהle/SHU/leto Shuleוַיִּמְצָאvay/yim/TSAand foundחֵןchenfavorבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyesשׁוּלֶהSHU/leof Shuleוַיַּרְעֵףvay/yar/EFand showeredעָלָיוa/LAYVupon himטוֹבוֹתto/VOTfavorsגְּדוֹלוֹתge/do/LOTgreatוַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand he didבְּמַמְלֶכֶתbe/mam/LE/khetin the kingdomשׁוּלֶהSHU/leof Shuleכְּחֶפְצוֹ׃ke/chef/TSOaccording to his desires

    And now Cohor had a son who was called Nimrod; and Nimrod gave up the kingdom of Cohor unto Shule, and he did gain favor in the eyes of Shule; wherefore Shule did bestow great favors upon him, and he did do in the kingdom of Shule according to his desires.

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoבִּימֵיbi/MEin the daysמַלְכוּתmal/KHUTof the reignשׁוּלֶהSHU/leof ShuleבָּאוּBA/ucameנְבִיאִיםne/vi/IMprophetsבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHamongהָעָםha/AMthe peopleשְׁלוּחִיםshe/lu/CHIMsentמֵאֵתme/ETfromיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiמִתְנַבְּאִיםmit/nab/be/IMprophesyingכִּיkithatרִשְׁעַתrish/ATthe wickednessהָעָםha/AMof the peopleוַעֲבוֹדַתva/a/vo/DATand the worshipאֱלִילֵיהֶםe/li/le/HEMof their idolsמְבִיאָהme/vi/Awas bringingקְלָלָהke/la/LAa curseעַל־הָאָרֶץal-ha/A/retsupon the landוְכִיve/KHIand thatיִשָּׁמְדוּyish/sha/me/DUthey would be destroyedאִם־לֹאim-loif notיָשׁוּבוּ׃ya/SHU/vuthey repented

    And also in the reign of Shule there came prophets among the people, who were sent from the Lord, prophesying that the wickedness and idolatry of the people was bringing a curse upon the land, and they should be destroyed if they did not repent.

24. 24

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatגִּדְּפוּgid/de/FUreviled againstהָעָםha/AMthe peopleאֶת־הַנְּבִיאִיםet-han/ne/vi/IMthe prophetsוַיַּלְעִגוּvay/yal/I/guand mockedלָהֶםla/HEMthemוַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatשָׁפַטsha/FATjudgedהַמֶּלֶךְham/ME/lekhthe kingשׁוּלֶהSHU/leShuleאֶת־כׇּל־הַמְגַדְּפִיםet-kol-ham/gad/de/FIMall those who reviled againstאֶת־הַנְּבִיאִים׃et-han/ne/vi/IMthe prophets

    And it came to pass that the people did revile against the prophets, and did mock them. And it came to pass that king Shule did execute judgment against all those who did revile against the prophets.

25. 25

    וַיָּשֶׂםvay/YA/semand he setחֹקchoka lawבְּכׇל־הָאָרֶץbe/KHOL-ha/A/retsthroughout all the landאֲשֶׁר־נָתַןa/SHER-na/TANwhich gaveכֹּחַKO/achpowerלַנְּבִיאִיםlan/ne/vi/IMto the prophetsלָלֶכֶתla/LE/khetto goבְּכׇל־אֲשֶׁרbe/KHOL-a/SHERwhithersoeverיַחְפְּצוּyach/pe/TSUthey wouldוּבַעֲבוּרu/va/a/VURand becauseזֹאתzotof thisשָׁבוּSHA/vurepentedהָעָם׃ha/AMthe people

    And he did execute a law throughout all the land, which gave power unto the prophets that they should go whithersoever they would; and by this cause the people were brought unto repentance.

26. 26

    וּבַעֲבוּרu/va/a/VURand becauseשָׁבוּSHA/vurepentedהָעָםha/AMthe peopleמֵעֲוֹנוֹתֵיהֶםme/a/vo/no/te/HEMof their iniquitiesוַעֲבוֹדַתva/a/vo/DATand the worshipאֱלִילֵיהֶםe/li/le/HEMof their idolsוַיַּחְמֹלvay/yach/MOLand sparedעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMthemיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiוַיָּחֵלּוּvay/ya/CHEL/luand they beganלְהַצְלִיחַle/hats/LI/achto prosperשֵׁנִיתshe/NITagainבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the landוַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatהוֹלִידho/LIDbegatשׁוּלֶהSHU/leShuleבָּנִיםba/NIMsonsוּבָנוֹתu/va/NOTand daughtersלְעֵתle/ETat the timeזִקְנָתוֹ׃zik/na/TOof his old age

    And because the people did repent of their iniquities and idolatries the Lord did spare them, and they began to prosper again in the land. And it came to pass that Shule begat sons and daughters in his old age.

    And there were no more wars in the days of Shule; and he remembered the great things that the Lord had done for his fathers in bringing them across the great deep into the promised land; wherefore he did execute judgment in righteousness all his days.
