   And the Lord commanded the brother of Jared to go down out of the mount from the presence of the Lord, and write the things which he had seen; and they were forbidden to come unto the children of men until after that he should be lifted up upon the cross; and for this cause did king Mosiah keep them, that they should not come unto the world until after Christ should show himself unto his people.

   וְאַחֲרֵיve/a/cha/REand afterאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנִרְאָהnir/Ashowed himselfהַמָּשִׁיחַHam/ma/SHI/achChristבֶּאֱמֶתbe/e/METtrulyלְעַמּוֹle/am/MOunto his peopleצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedכִּיkithatיִגָּלוּ׃yig/ga/LUthey should be made manifest

   And after Christ truly had showed himself unto his people he commanded that they should be made manifest.

   וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאַחֲרֵי־כֵןa/cha/RE-khenafter thatדָּעֲכוּda/a/KHUdwindledכֻלָּםkhul/LAMallבְּאֵיןbe/ENwithoutאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithוְאֵיןve/ENand there is noneנוֹתָרno/TARremainingזוּלַתzu/LATsave it beהַלָּמָנִיםhal/La/ma/NIMthe Lamanitesוְהֵםve/HEMand theyמָאֲסוּma/a/SUrejectedאֶת־בְּשׂוֹרַתet-be/so/RATthe gospelהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achof Christלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeצֻוֵּיתִיtsuv/VE/tiI am commandedלְהַטְמִינָםle/hat/mi/NAMto hide them upשֵׁנִיתshe/NITagainבָּאֲדָמָה׃ba/a/da/MAin the earth

   And now, after that, they have all dwindled in unbelief; and there is none save it be the Lamanites, and they have rejected the gospel of Christ; therefore I am commanded that I should hide them up again in the earth.

   Behold, I have written upon these plates the very things which the brother of Jared saw; and there never were greater things made manifest than those which were made manifest unto the brother of Jared.

   לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeצִוַּנִיtsiv/VA/nicommanded meיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiלְכׇתְבָםle/khot/VAMto write themוָאֶכְתְּבֵםva/ekh/te/VEMand I wrote themוַיְצַוֵּנִיvay/tsav/ve/NIand he commanded meלַחְתֹּםlach/TOMto seal upאוֹתָםo/TAMthemוְגַםve/GAMand alsoצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedכִּיkithatאֶחְתֹּםech/TOMI should seal upאֶת־פִּתְרוֹנָםet-pit/ro/NAMthe interpretation thereofלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeחָתַמְתִּיcha/tam/TII sealed upאֶת־הָאֻרִיםet-ha/u/RIMthe interpretersכְּמִצְוַתke/mits/VATaccording to the commandmentיְהוָה׃Adonaiof Adonai

   Wherefore the Lord hath commanded me to write them; and I have written them. And he commanded me that I should seal them up; and he also hath commanded that I should seal up the interpretation thereof; wherefore I have sealed up the interpreters, according to the commandment of the Lord.

   כִּי־כֹהki-khofor thusאָמַרa/MARsaidאֵלַיe/LAYunto meיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiלֹאlonotיֵצְאוּyets/Uthey shall go forthאֶל־הַגּוֹיִםel-Hag/go/YIMunto the Gentilesעַד־הַיּוֹםad-hay/YOMuntil the dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיָשׁוּבוּya/SHU/vuthey shall repentמֵעֲוֹנָםme/a/vo/NAMof their iniquityוְיִטָּהֲרוּve/yit/ta/ha/RUand become cleanלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהוָה׃AdonaiAdonai

   For the Lord said unto me: They shall not go forth unto the Gentiles until the day that they shall repent of their iniquity, and become clean before the Lord.

   And in that day that they shall exercise faith in me, saith the Lord, even as the brother of Jared did, that they may become sanctified in me, then will I manifest unto them the things which the brother of Jared saw, even to the unfolding unto them all my revelations, saith Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of the heavens and of the earth, and all things that in them are.

   וְהַמִּתְוַכֵּחַve/ham/mit/vak/KE/achand he that will contendנֶגֶדNE/gedagainstדְּבַר־יְהוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of Adonaiיוּאָרyu/ARlet him be accursedוְהַמְכַחֵשׁve/ham/kha/CHESHand he that shall denyבַּדְּבָרִיםbad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseיוּאָרyu/ARlet him be accursedכִּיkiforלָהֶםla/HEMunto themלֹאlonotאַרְאֶהar/EI will showדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMthingsגְּדוֹלִיםge/do/LIMgreaterמֵאֵלֶּהme/EL/lethan theseנְאֻםne/UMsaithיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַHam/ma/SHI/achChristכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIfor Iהוּאhuam heהַמְדַבֵּר׃ham/dab/BERwho speaks

   And he that will contend against the word of the Lord, let him be accursed; and he that shall deny these things, let him be accursed; for unto them will I show no greater things, saith Jesus Christ; for I am he who speaketh.

   וּבְמִצְוָתִיu/ve/mits/va/TIand at my commandיִפָּתְחוּyip/pa/te/CHUare openedהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensוְיִסָּגְרוּve/yis/sa/ge/RUand are shutוּבִדְבָרִיu/vid/va/RIand at my wordתִּרְעַשׁtir/ASHshall shakeהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthוּבְמִצְוָתִיu/ve/mits/va/TIand at my commandיַעַבְרוּya/av/RUshall pass awayיוֹשְׁבֶיהָyosh/VE/haits inhabitantsכְּמוֹke/MOeven asבָאֵשׁ׃va/ESHby fire

   And at my command the heavens are opened and are shut; and at my word the earth shall shake; and at my command the inhabitants thereof shall pass away, even so as by fire.

10. 10

    וַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand he thatלֹא־יַאֲמִיןlo-ya/a/MINbelieves notבִּדְבָרַיbid/va/RAYin my wordsלֹא־יַאֲמִיןlo-ya/a/MINbelieves notבְּתַלְמִידָיbe/tal/mi/DAYin my disciplesוְאִם־לֹאve/IM-loand if notאֲדַבֵּרa/dab/BERI shall speakשִׁפְטוּshif/TUjudgeאַתֶּםat/TEMyouכִּיkiforתֵדְעוּted/Uyou shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat Iהוּאhuam heהַמְדַבֵּרham/dab/BERwho speaksבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMat the dayהָאַחֲרוֹן׃ha/a/cha/RONthe last

    And he that believeth not my words believeth not my disciples; and if it so be that I do not speak, judge ye; for ye shall know that it is I that speaketh, at the last day.

    וְהַמַּאֲמִיןve/ham/ma/a/MINand he that believesבַּדְּבָרִיםbad/de/va/RIMin the thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI spokeאֶפְקְדֵהוּef/ke/de/HUhim will I visitבְּמַרְאוֹתbe/mar/OTwith the manifestationsרוּחִיRu/CHIof my Spiritוְהוּאve/HUand heיֵדַעye/DAshall knowוְיָעִידve/ya/IDand bear recordכִּיkiforבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofרוּחִיRu/CHImy Spiritיֵדַעye/DAhe shall knowכִּיkithatאֱמֶתe/METtrueהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseכִּיkiforהִיאhiitמוֹכִיחָהmo/khi/CHApersuadesאֶת־בְּנֵיet-be/NEthe childrenהָאָדָםha/a/DAMof menלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doטוֹב׃tovgood

    But he that believeth these things which I have spoken, him will I visit with the manifestations of my Spirit, and he shall know and bear record. For because of my Spirit he shall know that these things are true; for it persuadeth men to do good.

    וְכׇל־דָּבָרve/KHOL-da/VARand whatsoever thingהַמּוֹכִיחַham/mo/KHI/achpersuadesאֶת־בְּנֵיet-be/NEthe childrenהָאָדָםha/a/DAMof menלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doטוֹבtovgoodמִמֶּנִּיmim/MEN/niof meהוּאhuisכִּיkiforאֵיןenthere is noטוֹבtovgoodזוּלַתzu/LATsave it beמִמֶּנִּיmim/MEN/niof meאֲנִי־הוּאa/NI-huI am heהַמּוֹלִיךְham/mo/LIKHthat leadsאֶת־בְּנֵיet-be/NEthe childrenהָאָדָםha/a/DAMof menלְכׇל־טוֹבle/KHOL-tovto all goodוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand he thatלֹא־יַאֲמִיןlo-ya/a/MINbelieves notבִּדְבָרַיbid/va/RAYin my wordsלֹא־יַאֲמִיןlo-ya/a/MINwill not believeבִּיbiin meכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat Iהוּאhuamוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand he thatלֹא־יַאֲמִיןlo-ya/a/MINbelieves notבִּיbiin meלֹא־יַאֲמִיןlo-ya/a/MINwill not believeבָּאָבba/AVin the Fatherאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoשְׁלָחַנִיshe/la/CHA/nisent meכִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲנִיa/NIIהָאָבha/AVthe Fatherאֲנִיa/NIIהָאוֹרha/ORthe lightוְהַחַיִּיםve/ha/chay/YIMand the lifeוֶאֱמֶתve/e/METand the truthהָעוֹלָם׃ha/o/LAMof the world

    And whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do good is of me; for good cometh of none save it be of me. I am the same that leadeth men to all good; he that will not believe my words will not believe me—that I am; and he that will not believe me will not believe the Father who sent me. For behold, I am the Father, I am the light, and the life, and the truth of the world.

    בֹּאוּBO/ucomeאֵלַיe/LAYunto meהוֹיhoyOהַגּוֹיִםhag/Go/YIMthe Gentilesוְאַרְאֶהve/ar/Eand I will showלָכֶםla/KHEMyouאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe thingsהַגְּדוֹלִיםhag/ge/do/LIMthe greaterהַדַּעַתhad/DA/atthe knowledgeהַטְּמוּנָהhat/te/mu/NAwhich is hid upמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofמַעַל׃MA/alunbelief

    Come unto me, O ye Gentiles, and I will show unto you the greater things, the knowledge which is hid up because of unbelief.

    בֹּאוּBO/ucomeאֵלַיe/LAYunto meהוֹיhoyOבֵּית־יִשְׂרָאֵלbet-Yis/ra/ELhouse of Israelוְיִגָּלֶהve/yig/ga/LEand it shall be made manifestלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youמָהmahowרַבּוּrab/BUgreat areהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichצָפַןtsa/FANlaid upלָכֶםla/KHEMfor youהָאָבha/AVthe Fatherמִמּוֹסְדוֹתmim/mos/DOTfrom the foundationתֵּבֵלte/VELof the worldוְלֹא־בָאוּve/LO-VA/uand they have not comeאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMunto youמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause ofמַעַל׃MA/alunbelief

    Come unto me, O ye house of Israel, and it shall be made manifest unto you how great things the Father hath laid up for you, from the foundation of the world; and it hath not come unto you, because of unbelief.

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenתִּקְרְעוּtik/re/Uyou shall rendאֶת־מְסַךְet-me/SAKHthe veilהַמַּעַלham/MA/alof unbeliefהַנֹּתֵןhan/no/TENwhich causesלָכֶםla/KHEMyouלְהִשָּׁאֵרle/hish/sha/ERto remainבְּדֶרֶךְbe/DE/rekhin the wayרִשְׁעֲכֶםrish/a/KHEMof your wickednessהַנּוֹרָאhan/no/RAthe awfulוּקְשִׁיu/ke/SHIand hardnessלְבַבְכֶםle/vav/KHEMof your heartוְעִוְרוֹןve/iv/RONand blindnessדַּעְתְּכֶםda/te/KHEMof your mindאָזazthenיִגָּלוּyig/ga/LUthey shall be manifestedהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהַגְּדוֹלִיםhag/ge/do/LIMthe greatוְהַנִּפְלָאִיםve/han/nif/la/IMand marvelousאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנִצְפְּנוּnits/pe/NUhave been hid upמִכֶּםmik/KEMfrom youמִמּוֹסְדוֹתmim/mos/DOTfrom the foundationתֵּבֵלte/VELof the worldאַףafyeaכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenתִּקְרְאוּtik/re/Uyou shall callאֶל־הָאָבel-Ha/AVunto the Fatherבִּשְׁמִיbish/MIin my nameבְּלֵב־נִשְׁבָּרbe/LEV-nish/BARwith a broken heartוְרוּחַve/RU/achand a spiritנִדְכָּהnid/KAcontriteאָזazthenתֵּדְעוּted/Uyou shall knowכִּיkithatזָכַרza/KHARrememberedהָאָבha/AVthe Fatherאֶת־הַבְּרִיתet-hab/be/RITthe covenantאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichכָּרַתka/RAThe cutעִם־אֲבוֹתֵיכֶםim-a/vo/te/KHEMwith your fathersהוֹיhoyOבֵּיתbethouseיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELof Israel

    Behold, when ye shall rend that veil of unbelief which doth cause you to remain in your awful state of wickedness, and hardness of heart, and blindness of mind, then shall the great and marvelous things which have been hid up from the foundation of the world from you—yea, when ye shall call upon the Father in my name, with a broken heart and a contrite spirit, then shall ye know that the Father hath remembered the covenant which he made unto your fathers, O house of Israel.

16. 16

    וְאָזve/AZand thenיִפָּרְשׂוּyip/pa/re/SUshall be unfoldedחֲזוֹנוֹתַיcha/zo/no/TAYmy revelationsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichצִוִּיתִיtsiv/VI/tiI commandedלִכְתֹּבlikh/TOVto writeבְּיַד־עַבְדִּיbe/YAD-av/DIby the hand of my servantיוֹחָנָןYo/cha/NANJohnלְעֵינֵיle/e/NEin the eyesכׇל־הָעָםkhol-ha/AMof all the peopleזִכְרוּzikh/RUrememberבִּרְאוֹתְכֶםbir/ot/KHEMwhen you seeאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseתֵּדְעוּted/Uyou shall knowכִּיkithatקְרוֹבָהke/ro/VAat handהָעֵתha/ETthe timeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיִגָּלוּyig/ga/LUthey shall be manifestedבֶּאֱמֶת׃be/e/METin very deed

    And then shall my revelations which I have caused to be written by my servant John be unfolded in the eyes of all the people. Remember, when ye see these things, ye shall know that the time is at hand that they shall be made manifest in very deed.

17. 17

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeבְּקַבֶּלְכֶםbe/kab/bel/KHEMwhen you shall receiveאֶת־הַסֵּפֶרet-has/SE/ferthe recordהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisתֵּדְעוּted/Uyou may knowכִּיkithatהֵחֵלhe/CHELcommencedמַעֲשֵׂהma/a/SEthe workהָאָבha/AVof the Fatherעַל־כׇּל־פְּנֵיal-kol-pe/NEupon all the faceהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsof the land

    Therefore, when ye shall receive this record ye may know that the work of the Father has commenced upon all the face of the land.

18. 18

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeשׁוּבוּSHU/vurepentכׇּל־קְצוֹתkol-ke/TSOTall endsאֶרֶץE/retsof the earthוּבֹאוּu/VO/uand comeאֵלַיe/LAYunto meוְהַאֲמִינוּve/ha/a/MI/nuand believeבִּבְשׂוֹרָתִיbiv/so/ra/TIin my gospelוְהִטָּבְלוּve/hit/ta/ve/LUand be baptizedבִּשְׁמִיbish/MIin my nameכִּיkiforהַמַּאֲמִיןham/ma/a/MINhe that believesוְהַנִּטְבָּלve/han/nit/BALand is baptizedיִוָּשַׁעyiv/va/SHAshall be savedוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand he thatלֹא־יַאֲמִיןlo-ya/a/MINbelieves notיֻרְשַׁעyur/SHAshall be damnedוְאוֹתוֹתve/o/TOTand signsיֵלְכוּyel/KHUshall goאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterהַמַּאֲמִינִיםham/ma/a/mi/NIMthem that believeבִּשְׁמִי׃bish/MIin my name

    Therefore, repent all ye ends of the earth, and come unto me, and believe in my gospel, and be baptized in my name; for he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned; and signs shall follow them that believe in my name.

    וְאַשְׁרֵיve/ash/REand blessed isהַנִּמְצָאhan/nim/TSAhe that is foundנֶאֱמָןne/e/MANfaithfulלִשְׁמִיlish/MIunto my nameבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMat the dayהָאַחֲרוֹןha/a/cha/RONthe lastכִּיkiforיִנָּשֵׂאyin/na/SEhe shall be lifted upלָשֶׁבֶתla/SHE/vetto dwellבַּמַּמְלָכָהbam/mam/la/KHAin the kingdomהַמּוּכָנָהham/mu/kha/NApreparedלוֹlofor himמִמּוֹסְדוֹתmim/mos/DOTfrom the foundationתֵּבֵלte/VELof the worldוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאֲנִי־הוּאa/NI-huI am heהַמְדַבֵּרham/dab/BERthat spokeאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

    And blessed is he that is found faithful unto my name at the last day, for he shall be lifted up to dwell in the kingdom prepared for him from the foundation of the world. And behold it is I that hath spoken it. Amen.
