   And it came to pass that Jared and his brother, and their families, and also the friends of Jared and his brother and their families, went down into the valley which was northward, (and the name of the valley was Nimrod, being called after the mighty hunter) with their flocks which they had gathered together, male and female, of every kind.

   And they did also lay snares and catch fowls of the air; and they did also prepare a vessel, in which they did carry with them the fish of the waters.

   And they did also carry with them deseret, which, by interpretation, is a honey bee; and thus they did carry with them swarms of bees, and all manner of that which was upon the face of the land, seeds of every kind.

   And it came to pass that when they had come down into the valley of Nimrod the Lord came down and talked with the brother of Jared; and he was in a cloud, and the brother of Jared saw him not.

   And it came to pass that the Lord commanded them that they should go forth into the wilderness, yea, into that quarter where there never had man been. And it came to pass that the Lord did go before them, and did talk with them as he stood in a cloud, and gave directions whither they should travel.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatנָסְעוּna/se/Uthey traveledבַמִּדְבָּרvam/mid/BARin the wildernessוַיִּבְנוּvay/yiv/NUand they builtסְפִינוֹתse/fi/NOTbargesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichעָבְרוּa/ve/RUthey crossedבָהֶןva/HENin themמַיִםMA/yimwatersרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyמוּדְרָכִיםmud/ra/KHIMbeing directedתָּמִידta/MIDcontinuallyבְּיַד־יְהוָה׃be/YAD-Adonaiby the hand of Adonai

   And it came to pass that they did travel in the wilderness, and did build barges, in which they did cross many waters, being directed continually by the hand of the Lord.

7. 7

   וְלֹא־נָתַןve/LO-na/TANand would not sufferיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiלָהֶםla/HEMthemלַעֲצֹרla/a/TSORto stopמֵעֵבֶרme/E/verbeyondלַיָּםlay/YAMthe seaבַּמִּדְבָּרbam/mid/BARin the wildernessכִּיkibutחָפֵץcha/FETShe wouldכִּי־יָבֹאוּki-ya/VO/uthey should comeעַד־הָאָרֶץad-ha/A/retsunto the landאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהִבְטִיחַhiv/TI/achhe promisedאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהָיְתָהha/ye/TAwasנִבְחֶרֶתniv/CHE/retchoiceמִכׇּל־הָאֲרָצוֹתmik/KOL-ha/a/ra/TSOTabove all the landsאֲשֶׁר־שָׁמַרa/SHER-sha/MARwhich preservedיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלְעַםle/AMfor a peopleצַדִּיק׃tsad/DIKrighteous

   And the Lord would not suffer that they should stop beyond the sea in the wilderness, but he would that they should come forth even unto the land of promise, which was choice above all other lands, which the Lord God had preserved for a righteous people.

   וַיִּשָּׁבַעvay/yish/sha/VAand he sworeבַּחֲמָתוֹba/cha/ma/TOin his wrathלַאֲחִיla/a/CHIunto the brotherיֶרֶדYE/redof Jaredכִּיkithatכׇל־יוֹרֵשׁkhol-yo/RESHwhoso should possessאֶת־אֶרֶץet-E/retsthe landהַהַבְטָחָהha/hav/ta/CHAof the promiseהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisמֵהַיּוֹםme/hay/YOMfrom the timeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוָהָלְאָהva/HAL/aand onwardלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverיַעֲבֹדya/a/VODshould serveאוֹתוֹo/TOhimאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe Godאֱמֶתe/METof truthוּלְבַדּוֹu/le/vad/DOand him onlyאוֹoorיִכָּרְתוּyik/ka/re/TUthey should be swept offבְּבוֹאbe/VOwhen comesמְלֹאme/LOthe fulnessחֲרוֹןcha/RONof the fiercenessאַפּוֹap/POof his wrathעֲלֵיהֶם׃a/le/HEMupon them

   And he had sworn in his wrath unto the brother of Jared, that whoso should possess this land of promise, from that time henceforth and forever, should serve him, the true and only God, or they should be swept off when the fulness of his wrath should come upon them.

   וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowנִרְאֶהnir/Ewe can beholdאֶת־חֻקֵּיet-chuk/KEthe decreesאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godעַל־הָאָרֶץal-ha/A/retsconcerning the landהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisכִּיkithatאֶרֶץE/retsa landהַבְטָחָהhav/ta/CHAof promiseהִיאhiit isוְכׇל־גּוֹיve/KHOL-goyand whatsoever nationאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיִירָשֶׁנָּהyi/ra/shen/NAshall possess itיַעֲבֹדya/a/VODshall serveאֶת־אֱלֹהִיםet-e/lo/HIMGodאוֹoorיִכָּרְתוּyik/ka/re/TUthey shall be swept offבְּבוֹאbe/VOwhen comesמְלֹאme/LOthe fulnessחֲרוֹןcha/RONof the fiercenessאַפּוֹap/POof his wrathעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themוּמְלֹאu/me/LOand the fulnessחֲרוֹןcha/RONof the fiercenessאַפּוֹap/POof his wrathיָבוֹאya/VOshall comeעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenיִבְשְׁלוּyiv/she/LUthey are ripenedבֶּעָוֹן׃be/a/VONin iniquity

   And now, we can behold the decrees of God concerning this land, that it is a land of promise; and whatsoever nation shall possess it shall serve God, or they shall be swept off when the fulness of his wrath shall come upon them. And the fulness of his wrath cometh upon them when they are ripened in iniquity.

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdזֹאתzotthisאֶרֶץE/retsa landנִבְחֶרֶתniv/CHE/retchoiceמִכׇּל־הָאֲרָצוֹתmik/KOL-ha/a/ra/TSOTabove all the landsלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeהַיּוֹרֵשׁhay/yo/RESHhe that possessesאוֹתָהּo/TAitיַעֲבֹדya/a/VODshall serveאֶת־אֱלֹהִיםet-e/lo/HIMGodאוֹoorיִכָּרֵתyik/ka/RETshall be swept offכִּיkiforחֹקchoka decreeעוֹלָםo/LAMeverlastingהוּאhuit isמֵאֵתme/ETfromאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodוְלֹאve/LOand notיִכָּרְתוּyik/ka/re/TUare they swept offעַד־אֲשֶׁרad-a/SHERuntilיִתְמַלֵּאyit/mal/LEis fulfilledעֲוֹןa/VONthe iniquityיוֹשְׁבֵיyosh/VEof the inhabitantsהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsof the land

    For behold, this is a land which is choice above all other lands; wherefore he that doth possess it shall serve God or shall be swept off; for it is the everlasting decree of God. And it is not until the fulness of iniquity among the children of the land, that they are swept off.

    וְזֹאתve/ZOTand thisבָּאָהba/Acomesלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youהוֹיhoyOהַגּוֹיִםhag/Go/YIMthe Gentilesלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתֵּדְעוּted/Uyou may knowאֶת־חֻקֵּיet-chuk/KEthe decreesאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתָּשׁוּבוּta/SHU/vuyou may repentוְלֹאve/LOand notתוֹסִיפוּto/SI/fuyou continueבַּעֲוֹנוֹתֵיכֶםba/a/vo/no/te/KHEMin your iniquitiesעַד־בּוֹאad-bountil comesהַמְּלֹאham/me/LOthe fulnessפֶּן־תָּבִיאוּpen-ta/VI/ulest you bring downעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMupon youאֶת־מְלֹאet-me/LOthe fulnessחֲרוֹן־אַףcha/RON-afof the wrathאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasעָשׂוּa/SUdidיוֹשְׁבֵיyosh/VEthe inhabitantsהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the landעַד־הֵנָּה׃ad-HEN/nahitherto

    And this cometh unto you, O ye Gentiles, that ye may know the decrees of God—that ye may repent, and not continue in your iniquities until the fulness come, that ye may not bring down the fulness of the wrath of God upon you as the inhabitants of the land have hitherto done.

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdזֹאתzotthisאֶרֶץE/retsa landנִבְחֶרֶתniv/CHE/retchoiceוְכׇל־גּוֹיve/KHOL-goyand whatsoever nationאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיִירָשֶׁנָּהyi/ra/shen/NAshall possess itיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beחׇפְשִׁיchof/SHIfreeמֵעַבְדוּתme/av/DUTfrom bondageוּמִשְּׁבִיu/mish/she/VIand from captivityוּמִכׇּל־הַגּוֹיִםu/mik/KOL-hag/go/YIMand from all the nationsתַּחַתTA/chatunderהַשָּׁמָיִםhash/sha/MA/yimheavenאִם־יַעַבְדוּim-ya/av/DUif they will serveאֶת־אֱלֹהֵיet-e/lo/HEthe Godהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the landהוּאhuwho isיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַHam/ma/SHI/achChristאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoנִגְלָהnig/LAhas been manifestedבַּדְּבָרִיםbad/de/va/RIMin the thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichכָּתַבְנוּ׃ka/tav/NUwe wrote

    Behold, this is a choice land, and whatsoever nation shall possess it shall be free from bondage, and from captivity, and from all other nations under heaven, if they will but serve the God of the land, who is Jesus Christ, who hath been manifested by the things which we have written.

13. 13

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאָחֵלa/CHELI proceedבְּסִפְרִיbe/sif/RIwith my recordכִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהֵבִיאhe/VIbroughtיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֶת־יֶרֶדet-YE/redJaredוְאֶחָיוve/e/CHAYVand his brethrenעַד־הַיָּםad-hay/YAMeven to the seaהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLthe greatהַמַּבְדִּילham/mav/DILwhich dividesבֵּיןbenbetweenהָאֲרָצוֹתha/a/ra/TSOTthe landsוַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכְּבוֹאָםke/vo/AMas they cameאֶל־הַיָּםel-hay/YAMto the seaוַיִּטּוּvay/yit/TUand they pitchedאׇהֳלֵיהֶםo/ho/le/HEMtheir tentsוַיִּקְרְאוּvay/yik/re/Uand they calledשֵׁםshemthe nameהַמָּקוֹםham/ma/KOMof the placeמוֹרִיאַנְקוּמֶרMo/ri/AN/ku/merMoriancumerוַיֵּשְׁבוּvay/yesh/VUand they dweltבׇאֳהָלִיםvo/o/ha/LIMin tentsוַיֵּשְׁבוּvay/yesh/VUand they dweltבׇאֳהָלִיםvo/o/ha/LIMin tentsעַל־חוֹףal-chofupon the shoreהַיָּםhay/YAMof the seaאַרְבַּעar/BAfourשָׁנִים׃sha/NIMyears

    And now I proceed with my record; for behold, it came to pass that the Lord did bring Jared and his brethren forth even to that great sea which divideth the lands. And as they came to the sea they pitched their tents; and they called the name of the place Moriancumer; and they dwelt in tents, and dwelt in tents upon the seashore for the space of four years.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it wasמִקֵּץmik/KETSat the endאַרְבַּעar/BAof fourשָׁנִיםsha/NIMyearsוַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiשֵׁנִיתshe/NITagainאֶל־אֲחִיel-a/CHIto the brotherיֶרֶדYE/redof Jaredוַיַּעֲמֹדvay/ya/a/MODand stoodבֶּעָנָןbe/a/NANin a cloudוַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand talkedעִמּוֹim/MOwith himוְשָׁלֹשׁve/sha/LOSHand threeשָׁעוֹתsha/OThoursדִּבֶּרdib/BERtalkedיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiעִם־אֲחִיim-a/CHIwith the brotherיֶרֶדYE/redof Jaredוַיּוֹכִיחֵהוּvay/yo/khi/che/HUand chastened himכִּיkibecauseלֹא־זָכַרlo-za/KHARhe remembered notלִקְרֹאlik/ROto callבְּשֵׁםbe/SHEMupon the nameיְהוָה׃Adonaiof Adonai

    And it came to pass at the end of four years that the Lord came again unto the brother of Jared, and stood in a cloud and talked with him. And for the space of three hours did the Lord talk with the brother of Jared, and chastened him because he remembered not to call upon the name of the Lord.

15. 15

    וַיָּשׇׁבvay/YA/shovand repentedאֲחִיa/CHIthe brotherיֶרֶדYE/redof Jaredמֵהָרָעָהme/ha/ra/Aof the evilאֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂהa/SHER-a/SAwhich he didוַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand he calledבְּשֵׁםbe/SHEMupon the nameיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiבְּעַדbe/ADforאֶחָיוe/CHAYVhis brethrenאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoאִתּוֹit/TOwith himוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלוֹlounto himיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֶסְלַחes/LACHI will forgiveלְךָle/KHAyouוּלְאַחֶיךָu/le/a/CHE/khaand your brethrenאֶת־חַטֹּאתָםet-chat/to/TAMtheir sinsאַךְakhbutאַל־תּוֹסֶףal-TO/sefyou shall not any moreלַחֲטֹאla/cha/TOsinכִּיkiforתִזְכְּרוּtiz/ke/RUyou shall rememberכִּיkithatלֹא־יָדוֹןlo-ya/DONwill not striveרוּחִיRu/CHImy Spiritבָאָדָםva/a/DAMwith manלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeאִם־תֶּחֶטְאוּim-te/chet/Uif you will sinעַד־אֲשֶׁרad-a/SHERuntilתִּבְשְׁלוּtiv/she/LUyou are ripeכָּלִילka/LILfullyתִּכָּרְתוּtik/ka/re/TUyou shall be cut offמִלִּפְנֵיmil/lif/NEfrom the presenceיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiוְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand theseמַחְשְׁבוֹתַיmach/she/vo/TAYmy thoughtsעַל־הָאָרֶץal-ha/A/retsupon the landאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאֶתֵּןet/TENI shall giveלָכֶםla/KHEMyouלְנַחֲלָהle/na/cha/LAfor an inheritanceכִּי־תִהְיֶהki-tih/YEfor it shall beאֶרֶץE/retsa landנִבְחֶרֶתniv/CHE/retchoiceמִכׇּל־הָאֲרָצוֹת׃mik/KOL-ha/a/ra/TSOTabove all the lands

    And the brother of Jared repented of the evil which he had done, and did call upon the name of the Lord for his brethren who were with him. And the Lord said unto him: I will forgive thee and thy brethren of their sins; but thou shalt not sin any more, for ye shall remember that my Spirit will not always strive with man; wherefore, if ye will sin until ye are fully ripe ye shall be cut off from the presence of the Lord. And these are my thoughts upon the land which I shall give you for your inheritance; for it shall be a land choice above all other lands.

16. 16

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiקוּםkumgo toעֲשֵׂהa/SEworkוּבְנֵהu/ve/NEand buildסְפִינוֹתse/fi/NOTbargesכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasבְּנִיתֶםbe/ni/TEMyou builtעַד־הֵנָּהad-HEN/nahithertoוַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatהָלַךְha/LAKHwentאֲחִיa/CHIthe brotherיֶרֶדYE/redof Jaredלַעֲבוֹדָהla/a/vo/DAto workוְגַםve/GAMand alsoאֶחָיוe/CHAYVhis brethrenוַיִּבְנוּvay/yiv/NUand they builtסְפִינוֹתse/fi/NOTbargesכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasבָּנוּBA/nuthey builtכְּפִיke/FIaccording toתּוֹרוֹתto/ROTthe instructionsיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiוַתִּהְיֶינָהvat/tih/YE/naand they wereקְטַנּוֹתke/tan/NOTsmallוְקַלּוֹתve/kal/LOTand lightעַל־הַמַּיִםal-ham/MA/yimupon the watersכְּקַלּוּתke/kal/LUTas the lightnessהָעוֹףha/OFof a fowlעַל־הַמָּיִם׃al-ham/MA/yimupon the waters

    And the Lord said: Go to work and build, after the manner of barges which ye have hitherto built. And it came to pass that the brother of Jared did go to work, and also his brethren, and built barges after the manner which they had built, according to the instructions of the Lord. And they were small, and they were light upon the water, even like unto the lightness of a fowl upon the water.

    וַיִּבְנוּvay/yiv/NUand they builtאוֹתָןo/TANthemבְּדֶרֶךְbe/DE/rekhafter a mannerאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהָיוּha/YUwereאֲטוּמוֹתa/tu/MOTtightמְאֹדme/ODexceedinglyעַד־אֲשֶׁרad-a/SHEReven thatיַחְזִיקוּyach/zi/KUthey would holdמַיִםMA/yimwaterכַּקְּעָרָהkak/ke/a/RAlike unto a dishוְתַחְתִּיתָןve/tach/ti/TANand the bottom thereofאֲטוּמָהa/tu/MAtightכַּקְּעָרָהkak/ke/a/RAlike unto a dishוְדׇפְנֵיהֶןve/dof/ne/HENand the sides thereofאֲטוּמוֹתa/tu/MOTtightכַּקְּעָרָהkak/ke/a/RAlike unto a dishוּקְצוֹתֵיהֶןu/ke/tso/te/HENand the ends thereofחַדּוֹתchad/DOTpeakedוְרֹאשָׁןve/ro/SHANand the top thereofאָטוּםa/TUMtightכַּקְּעָרָהkak/ke/a/RAlike unto a dishוְאׇרְכָּןve/or/KANand the length thereofכְּאֹרֶךְke/O/rekhas the lengthעֵץetsof a treeוְדַלְתָּןve/dal/TANand the door thereofבְּהִסָּגְרָהּbe/his/sa/ge/RAwhen it was shutאֲטוּמָהa/tu/MAtightכַּקְּעָרָה׃kak/ke/a/RAlike unto a dish

    And they were built after a manner that they were exceedingly tight, even that they would hold water like unto a dish; and the bottom thereof was tight like unto a dish; and the sides thereof were tight like unto a dish; and the ends thereof were peaked; and the top thereof was tight like unto a dish; and the length thereof was the length of a tree; and the door thereof, when it was shut, was tight like unto a dish.

18. 18

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatזָעַקza/AKcriedאֲחִיa/CHIthe brotherיֶרֶדYE/redof Jaredאֶל־יְהוָהel-Adonaiunto Adonaiלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאֲדֹנָיA/do/NAYO Adonaiעָשִׂיתִיa/SI/tiI performedאֶת־הַמְּלָאכָהet-ham/me/la/KHAthe workאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichצִוִּיתָנִיtsiv/vi/TA/niyou commanded meוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iבָנִיתִיva/NI/timadeאֶת־הַסְּפִינוֹתet-has/se/fi/NOTthe bargesכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERaccording asהוֹרֵיתָנִי׃ho/re/ta/NIyou directed me

    And it came to pass that the brother of Jared cried unto the Lord, saying: O Lord, I have performed the work which thou hast commanded me, and I have made the barges according as thou hast directed me.

19. 19

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאֲדֹנָיA/do/NAYO Adonaiאֵיןenthere is noבָּהֶןba/HENin themצֹהַרTSO/harlightאָנָהA/nawhitherנִנְהַגnin/HAGshall we steerוְגַםve/GAMand alsoנִגְוַעnig/VAwe shall perishכִּי־לֹאki-lofor notנוּכַלnu/KHALwe canלִנְשֹׁםlin/SHOMbreatheבָּהֶןba/HENin themזוּלַתzu/LATsaveהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe airאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבְּתוֹכָןbe/to/KHANis in themלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeנִגְוָע׃nig/VAwe shall perish

    And behold, O Lord, in them there is no light; whither shall we steer? And also we shall perish, for in them we cannot breathe, save it is the air which is in them; therefore we shall perish.

20. 20

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֶל־אֲחִיel-a/CHIto the brotherיֶרֶדYE/redof Jaredהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdתַּעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEyou shall makeחֹרchora holeבָּרֹאשׁba/ROSHin the topוְגַםve/GAMand alsoבַּתַּחְתִּיתbat/tach/TITin the bottomוְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand whenתֶּחְסְרוּtech/se/RUyou shall suffer forרוּחַRU/achairתִּפְתַּחtif/TACHyou shall unstopאֶת־הַחֹרet-ha/CHORthe holeוְתִקְחוּve/tik/CHUand receiveרוּחַRU/achairוְאִםve/IMand ifיָבוֹאוּya/VO/ucome inעָלֶיךָa/LE/khaupon youהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe waterהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdתִּסְתֹּםtis/TOMyou shall stopאֶת־הַחֹרet-ha/CHORthe holeלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatלֹאlonotתִגְוְעוּtig/ve/Uyou perishבַּמַּבּוּל׃bam/mab/BULin the flood

    And the Lord said unto the brother of Jared: Behold, thou shalt make a hole in the top, and also in the bottom; and when thou shalt suffer for air thou shalt unstop the hole and receive air. And if it be so that the water come in upon thee, behold, ye shall stop the hole, that ye may not perish in the flood.

21. 21

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּי־עָשָׂהki-a/SAthat he didאֲחִיa/CHIthe brotherיֶרֶדYE/redof Jaredכֵּןkensoכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERaccording asצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedיְהוָה׃AdonaiAdonai

    And it came to pass that the brother of Jared did so, according as the Lord had commanded.

22. 22

    וַיִּזְעַקvay/yiz/AKand he criedעוֹדodagainאֶל־יְהוָהel-Adonaiunto Adonaiלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאֲדֹנָיA/do/NAYO Adonaiהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdעָשִׂיתִיa/SI/tiI didכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHEReven asצִוִּיתָנִיtsiv/vi/TA/niyou commanded meוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iהֲכִינוֹתִיha/khi/NO/tipreparedאֶת־הַכֵּלִיםet-hak/ke/LIMthe vesselsלְעַמִּיle/am/MIfor my peopleוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאֵיןenthere is noבָּהֶםba/HEMin themצֹהַרTSO/harlightהֲתִתֵּןha/tit/TENwill you sufferאֲדֹנָיA/do/NAYO Adonaiכִּיkithatנַעֲבֹרna/a/VORwe shall crossאֶת־הַמַּיִםet-ham/MA/yimthe watersהָרַבִּיםha/rab/BIMthe greatהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseבַּחֹשֶׁךְ׃ba/CHO/shekhin darkness

    And he cried again unto the Lord saying: O Lord, behold I have done even as thou hast commanded me; and I have prepared the vessels for my people, and behold there is no light in them. Behold, O Lord, wilt thou suffer that we shall cross this great water in darkness?

23. 23

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֶל־אֲחִיel-a/CHIto the brotherיֶרֶדYE/redof Jaredמָהmawhatתַחְפֹּץtach/POTSwill youכִּיkithatאֶעֱשֶׂהe/e/SEI should doלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youצֹהַרTSO/harlightבַּכֵּלִיםbak/ke/LIMin the vesselsכִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdלֹאlonotתוּכְלוּtukh/LUyou canלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTmakeחַלּוֹנוֹתchal/lo/NOTwindowsכִּיkiforיִשָּׁבְרוּyish/sha/ve/RUthey will be dashedלִרְסִיסִיםlir/si/SIMin piecesוְגַםve/GAMand alsoלֹאlonotתִקְחוּtik/CHUshall you takeאֵשׁeshfireאִתְּכֶםit/te/KHEMwith youכִּי־לֹאki-lofor notתֵלְכוּtel/KHUyou shall goלְאוֹרle/ORby the lightהָאֵשׁ׃ha/ESHof fire

    And the Lord said unto the brother of Jared: What will ye that I should do that ye may have light in your vessels? For behold, ye cannot have windows, for they will be dashed in pieces; neither shall ye take fire with you, for ye shall not go by the light of fire.

24. 24

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdתִּהְיוּtih/YUyou shall beכַּתַּנִּיןkat/tan/NINas a whaleבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midstהַיָּםhay/YAMof the seaכִּיkiforגַלֵּיgal/LEwavesהָרִיםha/RIMof mountainsיִשְׁטְפוּyish/te/FUshall dashעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMupon youאַךְakhbutאַעֲלֶהa/a/LEI will bring upאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouשֵׁנִיתshe/NITagainמִמַּעֲמַקֵּיmim/ma/a/mak/KEout of the depthsהַיָּםhay/YAMof the seaכִּיkiforהָרוּחוֹתha/ru/CHOTthe windsיָצְאוּya/tse/Uwent forthמִפִּיmip/PIout of my mouthוְגַםve/GAMand alsoהַגְּשָׁמִיםhag/ge/sha/MIMthe rainsוְהַמַּבּוּלִיםve/ham/mab/bu/LIMand the floodsשָׁלַחְתִּי׃sha/LACH/tihave I sent forth

    For behold, ye shall be as a whale in the midst of the sea; for the mountain waves shall dash upon you. Nevertheless, I will bring you up again out of the depths of the sea; for the winds have gone forth out of my mouth, and also the rains and the floods have I sent forth.

25. 25

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאֲנִיa/NIIמֵכִיןme/KHINprepareאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouלִקְרַאתlik/RATagainstהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseכִּי־לֹאki-lofor notתוּכְלוּtukh/LUyou canלַעֲבֹרla/a/VORto crossאֶת־הַתְּהוֹםet-hat/te/HOMthe deepהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAthe greatהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisזוּלַתzu/LATsaveאָכִיןa/KHINI prepareאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouלִקְרַאתlik/RATagainstגַּלֵּיgal/LEwavesהַיָּםhay/YAMof the seaוְהָרוּחוֹתve/ha/ru/CHOTand the windsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיָצְאוּya/tse/Uwent forthוְהַמַּבּוּלִיםve/ham/mab/bu/LIMand the floodsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיָבוֹאוּya/VO/ushall comeלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeמָהmawhatתַחְפְּצוּtach/pe/TSUwill youכִּיkithatאָכִיןa/KHINI should prepareלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youצֹהַרTSO/harlightבְּהִבָּלְעֲכֶםbe/hib/ba/le/a/KHEMwhen you are swallowed upבְּמַעֲמַקֵּיbe/ma/a/mak/KEin the depthsהַיָּם׃hay/YAMof the sea

    And behold, I prepare you against these things; for ye cannot cross this great deep save I prepare you against the waves of the sea, and the winds which have gone forth, and the floods which shall come. Therefore what will ye that I should prepare for you that ye may have light when ye are swallowed up in the depths of the sea?
