   And it came to pass that the days of Ether were in the days of Coriantumr; and Coriantumr was king over all the land.

   And Ether was a prophet of the Lord; wherefore Ether came forth in the days of Coriantumr, and began to prophesy unto the people, for he could not be restrained because of the Spirit of the Lord which was in him.

   For he did cry from the morning, even until the going down of the sun, exhorting the people to believe in God unto repentance lest they should be destroyed, saying unto them that by faith all things are fulfilled—

   Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God.

   And it came to pass that Ether did prophesy great and marvelous things unto the people, which they did not believe, because they saw them not.

   And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.

   For it was by faith that Christ showed himself unto our fathers, after he had risen from the dead; and he showed not himself unto them until after they had faith in him; wherefore, it must needs be that some had faith in him, for he showed himself not unto the world.

   But because of the faith of men he has shown himself unto the world, and glorified the name of the Father, and prepared a way that thereby others might be partakers of the heavenly gift, that they might hope for those things which they have not seen.

   לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeתּוּכְלוּtukh/LUyou mayגַם־אַתֶּםgam-at/TEMyou alsoלְקַוּוֹתle/kav/VOTto hopeוְלִנְחֹלve/lin/CHOLand be partakersאֶת־הַמַּתָּנָהet-ham/mat/ta/NAof the giftרַקrakbutאִם־תַּאֲמִינוּ׃im-ta/a/MI/nuif you will have faith

   Wherefore, ye may also have hope, and be partakers of the gift, if ye will but have faith.

10. 10

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdבֶאֱמוּנָהve/e/mu/NAby faithנִקְרְאוּnik/re/Uthey were calledהַקַּדְמוֹנִיםhak/kad/mo/NIMthey of oldעַל־דִּבְרָתִיal-div/ra/TIafter the orderהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMof Godהַקְּדוֹשָׁה׃hak/ke/do/SHAthe holy

    Behold it was by faith that they of old were called after the holy order of God.

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeבֶאֱמוּנָהve/e/mu/NAby faithנִתְּנָהnit/te/NAwas givenתּוֹרַתto/RATthe lawמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEof Mosesאַךְakhbutבְּמַתַּתbe/mat/TATby the giftבְּנוֹbe/NOof his Sonהֵכִיןhe/KHINpreparedאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodדֶּרֶךְDE/rekha wayטוֹבָהto/VAexcellentיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreוּבֶאֱמוּנָהu/ve/e/mu/NAand by faithנִשְׁלְמָה׃nish/le/MAit has been fulfilled

    Wherefore, by faith was the law of Moses given. But in the gift of his Son hath God prepared a more excellent way; and it is by faith that it hath been fulfilled.

    כִּיkiforאִם־אֵיןim-enif there be noאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithבִּבְנֵיbiv/NEamong the childrenהָאָדָםha/a/DAMof menלֹא־יוּכַלlo-yu/KHALcannotאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doפֶּלֶאPE/lea miracleבְּתוֹכָםbe/to/KHAMamong themלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeלֹאlonotנִרְאָהnir/Ashowed himselfעַד־אַחֲרֵיad-a/cha/REuntil afterאֱמוּנָתָם׃e/mu/na/TAMtheir faith

    For if there be no faith among the children of men God can do no miracle among them; wherefore, he showed not himself until after their faith.

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdבֶאֱמוּנַתve/e/mu/NATby the faithאַלְמָאAL/maof Almaוַעֲמוּלֶקva/A/mu/lekand Amulekנָפַלna/FALfellבֵּיתbetthe houseהַכֶּלֶאhak/KE/leof the prisonאָרְצָה׃AR/tsato the earth

    Behold, it was the faith of Alma and Amulek that caused the prison to tumble to the earth.

14. 14

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdבֶאֱמוּנַתve/e/mu/NATby the faithנֶפִיNE/fiof Nephiוְלֶחִיve/LE/chiand Lehiנֶעֶשְׂתָהne/es/TAwas wroughtהַתְּמוּרָהhat/te/mu/RAthe changeבַּלָּמָנִיםbal/La/ma/NIMamong the Lamanitesוַיִּטָּבְלוּvay/yit/ta/ve/LUand they were baptizedבָאֵשׁva/ESHwith fireוּבְרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁ׃u/ve/RU/ach-hak/KO/deshand with the Holy Ghost

    Behold, it was the faith of Nephi and Lehi that wrought the change upon the Lamanites, that they were baptized with fire and with the Holy Ghost.

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdבֶאֱמוּנַתve/e/mu/NATby the faithעַמּוֹןAm/MONof Ammonוְאֶחָיוve/e/CHAYVand his brethrenנַעֲשָׂהna/a/SAwas wroughtהַפֶּלֶאhap/PE/lethe miracleהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLso greatבַּלָּמָנִים׃bal/La/ma/NIMamong the Lamanites

    Behold, it was the faith of Ammon and his brethren which wrought so great a miracle among the Lamanites.

    אַףafyeaוְכׇל־אֲשֶׁרve/KHOL-a/SHERand all whoעָשׂוּa/SUwroughtנִפְלָאוֹתnif/la/OTmiraclesעָשׂוּםa/SUMwrought themבֶּאֱמוּנָהbe/e/mu/NAby faithגַּם־אֵלֶּהgam-EL/leeven thoseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהָיוּha/YUwereלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהַמָּשִׁיחַHam/ma/SHI/achChristוְגַםve/GAMand alsoאֵלֶּהEL/lethoseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהָיוּha/YUwereאַחֲרָיו׃a/cha/RAYVafter him

    Yea, and even all they who wrought miracles wrought them by faith, even those who were before Christ and also those who were after.

    וּבֶאֱמוּנָהu/ve/e/mu/NAand by faithהִשִּׂיגוּhis/SI/guobtainedשְׁלֹשֶׁתshe/LO/shetthe threeהַתַּלְמִידִיםhat/tal/mi/DIMdisciplesדְּבַר־יְהוָהde/VAR-Adonaithe word of Adonaiכִּי־לֹאki-lothat notיִטְעֲמוּyit/a/MUthey should tasteמָוֶתMA/vetdeathוְלֹאve/LOand notהִשִּׂיגוּhis/SI/guobtainedאֶת־הַדָּבָרet-had/da/VARthe wordעַד־אַחֲרֵיad-a/cha/REuntil afterאֱמוּנָתָם׃e/mu/na/TAMtheir faith

    And it was by faith that the three disciples obtained a promise that they should not taste of death; and they obtained not the promise until after their faith.

    וּמֵעוֹלָםu/me/o/LAMand everלֹא־עָשָׂהlo-a/SAhas not wroughtאִישׁishany manנִפְלָאוֹתnif/la/OTmiraclesעַד־אַחֲרֵיad-a/cha/REuntil afterאֱמוּנָתוֹe/mu/na/TOhis faithלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeהֶאֱמִינוּhe/e/MI/nuthey believedרִאשׁוֹנָהri/sho/NAfirstבְּבֶן־אֱלֹהִים׃be/VEN-e/lo/HIMin the Son of God

    And neither at any time hath any wrought miracles until after their faith; wherefore they first believed in the Son of God.

    And there were many whose faith was so exceedingly strong, even before Christ came, who could not be kept from within the veil, but truly saw with their eyes the things which they had beheld with an eye of faith, and they were glad.

    And behold, we have seen in this record that one of these was the brother of Jared; for so great was his faith in God, that when God put forth his finger he could not hide it from the sight of the brother of Jared, because of his word which he had spoken unto him, which word he had obtained by faith.

    And after the brother of Jared had beheld the finger of the Lord, because of the promise which the brother of Jared had obtained by faith, the Lord could not withhold anything from his sight; wherefore he showed him all things, for he could no longer be kept without the veil.

    And it is by faith that my fathers have obtained the promise that these things should come unto their brethren through the Gentiles; therefore the Lord hath commanded me, yea, even Jesus Christ.

    And I said unto him: Lord, the Gentiles will mock at these things, because of our weakness in writing; for Lord thou hast made us mighty in word by faith, but thou hast not made us mighty in writing; for thou hast made all this people that they could speak much, because of the Holy Ghost which thou hast given them;

    וַתַּעֲשֵׂנוּvat/ta/a/se/NUand you made usכִּיkithatנוּכַלnu/KHALwe couldלִכְתֹּבlikh/TOVto writeמְעַטme/ATlittleבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofכֹּבֶדKO/vedthe heavinessיָדֵינוּya/DE/nuof our handsהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdלֹאlonotעֲשִׂיתָנוּa/si/ta/NUyou made usגִבּוֹרִיםgib/bo/RIMmightyבַּמִּכְתָּבbam/mikh/TAVin writingכַּאֲחִיka/a/CHIas the brotherיֶרֶדYE/redof Jaredכִּיkiforעָשִׂיתָa/SI/tayou madeאוֹתוֹo/TOhimכִּיkithatהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichכָּתַבka/TAVhe wroteהָיוּha/YUwereגִּבּוֹרִיםgib/bo/RIMmightyכָּמוֹךָka/MO/khaas youעַד־כִּיad-kiuntilיִגְבְּרוּyig/be/RUthey prevailעַל־הָאָדָםal-ha/a/DAMover manלְקׇרְאָם׃le/kor/AMto read them

    And thou hast made us that we could write but little, because of the awkwardness of our hands. Behold, thou hast not made us mighty in writing like unto the brother of Jared, for thou madest him that the things which he wrote were mighty even as thou art, unto the overpowering of man to read them.

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoעָשִׂיתָa/SI/tayou madeאֶת־דְּבָרֵינוּet-de/va/re/NUour wordsעַזִּיםaz/ZIMpowerfulוּגְדוֹלִיםu/ge/do/LIMand greatעַד־כִּיad-kieven thatלֹאlonotנוּכַלnu/KHALwe canלְכׇתְבָםle/khot/VAMto write themלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeבְּכׇתְבֵנוּbe/khot/ve/NUin our writingנִרְאֶהnir/Ewe beholdאֶת־חֻלְשָׁתֵנוּet-chul/sha/te/NUour weaknessוְנִכָּשֵׁלve/nik/ka/SHELand stumbleבְּשִׂימַתbe/si/MATin the placingדְּבָרֵינוּde/va/re/NUof our wordsוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iיָרֵאya/REfearפֶּן־יִלְעֲגוּpen-yil/a/GUlest they mockהַגּוֹיִםhag/Go/YIMthe Gentilesלִדְבָרֵינוּ׃lid/va/re/NUat our words

    Thou hast also made our words powerful and great, even that we cannot write them; wherefore, when we write we behold our weakness, and stumble because of the placing of our words; and I fear lest the Gentiles shall mock at our words.

26. 26

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI saidזֹאתzotthisוַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeאֵלַיe/LAYunto meיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאֱוִילִיםe/vi/LIMfoolsיִלְעֲגוּyil/a/GUmockאַךְakhbutיִתְאַבְּלוּyit/ab/be/LUthey shall mournוְדַיve/DAYand sufficientחַסְדִּיchas/DImy graceלַעֲנָוִיםla/a/na/VIMfor the meekלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIthat notיִתְנַכְּלוּyit/nak/ke/LUthey shall take advantageבְּחֻלְשַׁתְכֶם׃be/chul/shat/KHEMof your weakness

    And when I had said this, the Lord spake unto me, saying: Fools mock, but they shall mourn; and my grace is sufficient for the meek, that they shall take no advantage of your weakness;

27. 27

    וְכִיve/KHIand ifיָבֹאוּya/VO/ucomeאֵלַיe/LAYunto meבְּנֵי־אָדָםbe/NE-a/DAMmenאַרְאֶהar/EI will showלָהֶםla/HEMthemאֶת־חֻלְשָׁתָםet-chul/sha/TAMtheir weaknessנוֹתֵןno/TENgiveאֲנִיa/NIIלִבְנֵי־אָדָםliv/NE-a/DAMunto menחֻלְשָׁהchul/SHAweaknessלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִכָּנְעוּyik/ka/ne/Uthey may be humbleוְדַיve/DAYand sufficientחַסְדִּיchas/DImy graceלְכׇל־הַנִּכְנָעִיםle/KHOL-han/nikh/na/IMfor all who humble themselvesלְפָנַיle/fa/NAYbefore meכִּיkiforאִם־יִכָּנְעוּim-yik/ka/ne/Uif humble themselvesלְפָנַיle/fa/NAYbefore meוְיַאֲמִינוּve/ya/a/MI/nuand have faithבִיviin meאָזazthenאֶעֱשֶׂהe/e/SEwill I makeלָהֶםla/HEMunto themחֻלְשׁוֹתchul/SHOTweak thingsלִגְבוּרוֹת׃lig/vu/ROTbecome strong

    And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.

28. 28

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאַרְאֶהar/EI will showלַגּוֹיִםlag/Go/YIMunto the Gentilesאֶת־חֻלְשָׁתָםet-chul/sha/TAMtheir weaknessוְאַרְאֶהve/ar/Eand I will showלָהֶםla/HEMthemכִּיkithatאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithתִּקְוָהtik/VAhopeוְחֶסֶדve/CHE/sedand charityיְבִיאוּםye/vi/UMbring themאֵלַיe/LAYunto meמְקוֹרme/KORthe fountainכׇּל־צֶדֶק׃kol-TSE/dekof all righteousness

    Behold, I will show unto the Gentiles their weakness, and I will show unto them that faith, hope and charity bringeth unto me—the fountain of all righteousness.

29. 29

    וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand IמוֹרוֹנִיMo/RO/niMoroniבְּשׇׁמְעִיbe/shom/Iin my hearingאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe wordsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseנֻחַמְתִּיnu/cham/TII was comfortedוָאֹמַרva/o/MARand I saidאֲדֹנָיA/do/NAYO Adonaiיֵעָשֶׂהye/a/SEshall be doneרְצוֹןre/TSONthe willצִדְקֶךָtsid/KE/khaof your righteousnessכִּיkiforיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowכִּיkithatתִפְעַלtif/ALyou workבִּבְנֵיbiv/NEamong the childrenהָאָדָםha/a/DAMof menכֶּאֱמוּנָתָם׃ke/e/mu/na/TAMaccording to their faith

    And I, Moroni, having heard these words, was comforted, and said: O Lord, thy righteous will be done, for I know that thou workest unto the children of men according to their faith;

30. 30

    כִּיkiforאָמַרa/MARsaidאֲחִיa/CHIthe brotherיֶרֶדYE/redof Jaredלְהַרle/HARto the mountainזֶרִיןZE/rinZerinעֲתַקa/TAKremoveוַיֶּעְתַּקvay/ye/TAKand it was removedוְלוּלֵאve/lu/LEand if notהָיְתָהha/ye/TAhad beenלוֹloto himאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithלֹאlonotעָתַקa/TAKwould it movedלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeתִּפְעַלtif/ALyou workאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיַאֲמִינוּya/a/MI/nuhave faithבְּנֵיbe/NEthe childrenאָדָם׃a/DAMof men

    For the brother of Jared said unto the mountain Zerin, Remove—and it was removed. And if he had not had faith it would not have moved; wherefore thou workest after men have faith.

31. 31

    כִּי־כֵןki-khenfor thusהִתְגַּלֵּיתָhit/gal/le/TAmanifested yourselfלְתַלְמִידֶיךָle/tal/mi/de/KHAunto your disciplesכִּיkiforאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatהֶאֱמִינוּhe/e/MI/nuthey had faithוַיְדַבְּרוּvay/dab/be/RUand spokeבִשְׁמֶךָvish/ME/khain your nameנִרְאֵיתָnir/e/TAshowed yourselfלָהֶםla/HEMunto themבִּגְבוּרָהbig/vu/RAin powerגְדוֹלָה׃ge/do/LAgreat

    For thus didst thou manifest thyself unto thy disciples; for after they had faith, and did speak in thy name, thou didst show thyself unto them in great power.

32. 32

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoזוֹכֵרzo/KHERrememberאֲנִיa/NIIכִּיkithatאָמַרְתָּa/MAR/tayou saidכִּיkithatהֲכִינוֹתָha/khi/NO/tayou preparedבַיִתVA/yita houseלָאָדָםla/a/DAMunto manאַףafyeaבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHamongמִשְׁכְּנוֹתmish/ke/NOTthe mansionsאָבִיךָA/VI/khaof your Fatherאֲשֶׁר־בּוֹa/SHER-bowhereinיִהְיֶהyih/YEmight beלָאָדָםla/a/DAMunto manתִּקְוָהtik/VAhopeטוֹבָהto/VAexcellentיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeקַוֹּהkav/VOmustיְקַוֶּהye/kav/VEhopeהָאָדָםha/a/DAMmanאוֹoorלֹא־יוּכַלlo-yu/KHALcannotלְקַבֵּלle/kab/BELto receiveנַחֲלָהna/cha/LAan inheritanceבַּמָּקוֹםbam/ma/KOMin the placeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהֲכִינוֹתָ׃ha/khi/NO/tayou prepared

    And I also remember that thou hast said that thou hast prepared a house for man, yea, even among the mansions of thy Father, in which man might have a more excellent hope; wherefore man must hope, or he cannot receive an inheritance in the place which thou hast prepared.

33. 33

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againאֲנִיa/NIIזוֹכֵרzo/KHERrememberכִּיkithatאָמַרְתָּa/MAR/tayou saidכִּיkithatאָהַבְתָּa/HAV/tayou lovedאֶת־הָעוֹלָםet-ha/o/LAMthe worldעַד־תֵּתad-teteven unto the givingאֶת־חַיֶּיךָet-chay/YE/khaof your lifeבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURforהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתִּקָּחֵםtik/ka/CHEMyou might take itשֵׁנִיתshe/NITagainלְהָכִיןle/ha/KHINto prepareמָקוֹםma/KOMa placeלִבְנֵיliv/NEunto the childrenהָאָדָם׃ha/a/DAMof men

    And again, I remember that thou hast said that thou hast loved the world, even unto the laying down of thy life for the world, that thou mightest take it again to prepare a place for the children of men.

34. 34

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowכִּיkithatהָאַהֲבָהha/a/ha/VAthe loveהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהָיְתָהha/ye/TAwasלְךָle/KHAto youלִבְנֵי־הָאָדָםliv/NE-ha/a/DAMfor the children of menהִיאhiisחֶסֶדCHE/sedcharityלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeאִם־אֵיןim-enif there be noלִבְנֵי־הָאָדָםliv/NE-ha/a/DAMto the children of menחֶסֶדCHE/sedcharityלֹא־יוּכְלוּlo-yukh/LUthey cannotלָרֶשֶׁתla/RE/shetto inheritאֶת־הַמָּקוֹםet-ham/ma/KOMthe placeהַהוּאha/HUthatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהֲכִינוֹתָha/khi/NO/tayou preparedבְּמִשְׁכְּנוֹתbe/mish/ke/NOTin the mansionsאָבִיךָ׃A/VI/khaof your Father

    And now I know that this love which thou hast had for the children of men is charity; wherefore, except men shall have charity they cannot inherit that place which thou hast prepared in the mansions of thy Father.

35. 35

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowבַּדָּבָרbad/da/VARby the thingהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאָמַרְתָּa/MAR/tayou saidכִּיkithatאִם־אֵיןim-enif there be noלַגּוֹיִםlag/Go/YIMto the GentilesחֶסֶדCHE/sedcharityבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofחֻלְשָׁתֵנוּchul/sha/te/NUour weaknessכִּיkithatתִּבְחָנֵםtiv/cha/NEMyou will prove themוְתִקַּחve/tik/KACHand take awayמֵהֶםme/HEMfrom themאֶת־מַתְּנָתָםet-mat/te/na/TAMtheir talentאַףafyeaגַּםgamevenאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERthat whichקִבְּלוּkib/be/LUthey receivedוְתִתֵּןve/tit/TENand giveלַאֲשֶׁרla/a/SHERunto them whoלָהֶםla/HEMhaveלָרֹב׃la/ROVmore abundantly

    Wherefore, I know by this thing which thou hast said, that if the Gentiles have not charity, because of our weakness, that thou wilt prove them, and take away their talent, yea, even that which they have received, and give unto them who shall have more abundantly.

36. 36

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatהִתְפַּלַּלְתִּיhit/pal/lal/TII prayedאֶל־יְהוָהel-Adonaiunto Adonaiכִּיkithatיִתֵּןyit/TENhe would giveלַגּוֹיִםlag/Go/YIMunto the Gentilesחֵןchengraceלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִהְיֶהyih/YEmight beלָהֶםla/HEMto themחֶסֶד׃CHE/sedcharity

    And it came to pass that I prayed unto the Lord that he would give unto the Gentiles grace, that they might have charity.

37. 37

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatאָמַרa/MARsaidאֵלַיe/LAYunto meיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאִם־אֵיןim-enif there be noלָהֶםla/HEMunto themחֶסֶדCHE/sedcharityאֵין־דָּבָרen-da/VARit matters notאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khaunto youהָיִיתָha/YI/tayou have beenנֶאֱמָןne/e/MANfaithfulלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeיִטָּהֲרוּyit/ta/ha/RUshall be made cleanבְּגָדֶיךָbe/ga/DE/khayour garmentsוּבַעֲבוּרu/va/a/VURand becauseרָאִיתָra/I/tayou sawאֶת־חֻלְשָׁתְךָet-chul/sha/te/KHAyour weaknessתֶּחֱזַקte/che/ZAKyou shall be made strongעַד־לָשֶׁבֶתad-la/SHE/veteven unto sitting downבַּמָּקוֹםbam/ma/KOMin the placeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהֲכִינוֹתִיha/khi/NO/tiI preparedבְּמִשְׁכְּנוֹתbe/mish/ke/NOTin the mansionsאָבִי׃A/VIof my Father

    And it came to pass that the Lord said unto me: If they have not charity it mattereth not unto thee, thou hast been faithful; wherefore, thy garments shall be made clean. And because thou hast seen thy weakness thou shalt be made strong, even unto the sitting down in the place which I have prepared in the mansions of my Father.

38. 38

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאֲנִיa/NIIמוֹרוֹנִיMo/RO/niMoroniנִפְרָדnif/RADtake leaveמִן־הַגּוֹיִםmin-Hag/go/YIMof the Gentilesאַףafyeaוְגַםve/GAMand alsoמֵאַחַיme/a/CHAYof my brethrenאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomאָהַבְתִּיa/HAV/tiI loveעַד־אֲשֶׁרad-a/SHERuntilנִפָּגֵשׁnip/pa/GESHwe shall meetלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeכִּסֵּא־מִשְׁפַּטkis/SE-mish/PATthe judgment-seatהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achof Christאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereשָׁםshamthereיֵדְעוּyed/Ushall knowכׇל־בְּנֵיkhol-be/NEall the childrenהָאָדָםha/a/DAMof menכִּיkithatאֵיןenare notבְּגָדַיbe/ga/DAYmy garmentsמְגֹאָלִיםme/go/a/LIMspottedבְּדִמְכֶם׃be/dim/KHEMwith your blood

    And now I, Moroni, bid farewell unto the Gentiles, yea, and also unto my brethren whom I love, until we shall meet before the judgment-seat of Christ, where all men shall know that my garments are not spotted with your blood.

39. 39

    וְאָזve/AZand thenתֵּדְעוּted/Uyou shall knowכִּיkithatרָאִיתִיra/I/tiI sawאֶת־יֵשׁוּעַet-Ye/SHU/aJesusוְכִיve/KHIand thatדִּבֶּרdib/BERhe talkedאִתִּיit/TIwith meפָּנִיםpa/NIMfaceאֶל־פָּנִיםel-pa/NIMto faceוְכִיve/KHIand thatהִגִּידhig/GIDhe toldלִיlimeבַּעֲנָוָהba/a/na/VAin humilityבְּרוּרָהbe/ru/RAplainכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHEReven asיַגִּידyag/GIDtellsאִישׁisha manלְרֵעֵהוּle/re/E/huanotherבִּשְׂפָתִיbis/fa/TIin my own languageעַל־הַדְּבָרִיםal-had/de/va/RIMconcerning the thingsהָאֵלֶּה׃ha/EL/lethese

    And then shall ye know that I have seen Jesus, and that he hath talked with me face to face, and that he told me in plain humility, even as a man telleth another in mine own language, concerning these things;

40. 40

    וּמְעַטu/me/ATand fewכָּתַבְתִּיka/TAV/tiI wroteבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofחֻלְשָׁתִיchul/sha/TImy weaknessבַּמִּכְתָּב׃bam/mikh/TAVin writing

    And only a few have I written, because of my weakness in writing.

41. 41

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאַפְקִידaf/KIDI would commendאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouלְבַקֵּשׁle/vak/KESHto seekאֶת־יֵשׁוּעַet-Ye/SHU/aJesusהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichכָּתְבוּka/te/VUwroteעָלָיוa/LAYVof whomהַנְּבִיאִיםhan/ne/vi/IMthe prophetsוְהַשְּׁלוּחִיםve/hash/she/lu/CHIMand the apostlesלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִהְיֶהyih/YEmay beחֶסֶדCHE/sedthe graceאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godהָאָבha/AVthe Fatherוְגַםve/GAMand alsoהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe LordיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַHam/ma/SHI/achChristוְרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁve/RU/ach-hak/KO/deshand the Holy Ghostהַמְּעִידָהham/me/i/DAwhich bears recordעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMof themוְיִשְׁכֹּןve/yish/KONand abideבָּכֶםba/KHEMin youלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

    And now, I would commend you to seek this Jesus of whom the prophets and apostles have written, that the grace of God the Father, and also the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost, which beareth record of them, may be and abide in you forever. Amen.
