   וַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand cameגַםgamalsoבִּימֵיbi/MEin the daysכוֹםKhomof Comנְבִיאִיםne/vi/IMprophetsרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוַיִּתְנַבְּאוּvay/yit/nab/be/Uand they prophesiedעַל־הַשְׁמָדַתal-hash/ma/DATconcerning the destructionהָעָםha/AMof the peopleהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLthe greatהַהוּאha/HUthatאִם־לֹאim-loexceptיָשׁוּבוּya/SHU/vuthey should repentוְיִפְנוּve/yif/NUand turnאֶל־יְהוָהel-Adonaiunto Adonaiוְיַעַזְבוּve/ya/az/VUand forsakeאֶת־רִצְחֵיהֶםet-rits/che/HEMtheir murdersוְרִשְׁעָתָם׃ve/rish/a/TAMand their wickedness

   And there came also in the days of Com many prophets, and prophesied of the destruction of that great people except they should repent, and turn unto the Lord, and forsake their murders and wickedness.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatמָאֲסוּma/a/SUrejectedהָעָםha/AMthe peopleאֶת־הַנְּבִיאִיםet-han/ne/vi/IMthe prophetsוַיָּנוּסוּvay/ya/NU/suand they fledאֶל־כוֹםel-Khomto Comלְמַחְסֶהle/mach/SEfor protectionכִּיkiforבִקְשׁוּvik/SHUsoughtהָעָםha/AMthe peopleלְהַשְׁמִידָם׃le/hash/mi/DAMto destroy them

   And it came to pass that the prophets were rejected by the people, and they fled unto Com for protection, for the people sought to destroy them.

3. 3

   וַיִּתְנַבְּאוּvay/yit/nab/be/Uand they prophesiedלְכוֹםle/KHOMto Comדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMthingsרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוַיְבֹרַךְvay/VO/rakhand he was blessedבְּכׇל־יֶתֶרbe/KHOL-YE/terin all the remainderיָמָיו׃ya/MAYVof his days

   And they prophesied unto Com many things; and he was blessed in all the remainder of his days.

4. 4

   וַיְחִיvay/CHIand livedעַד־שֵׂיבָהad-se/VAuntil gray hairsטוֹבָהto/VAgoodוַיּוֹלֶדvay/YO/ledand he begatאֶת־שִׁבְלוֹםet-SHIV/lomShiblomוַיִּמְלֹךְvay/yim/LOKHand reignedשִׁבְלוֹםSHIV/lomShiblomתַּחְתָּיוtach/TAYVin his steadוַיִּמְרֹדvay/yim/RODand rebelledאֲחִיa/CHIthe brotherשִׁבְלוֹםSHIV/lomof Shiblomבּוֹboagainst himוַתָּחֶלvat/TA/cheland there began to beמִלְחָמָהmil/cha/MAwarגְדוֹלָהge/do/LAgreatמְאֹדme/ODexceedinglyבְּכׇל־הָאָרֶץ׃be/KHOL-ha/A/retsin all the land

   And he lived to a good old age, and begat Shiblom; and Shiblom reigned in his stead. And the brother of Shiblom rebelled against him, and there began to be an exceedingly great war in all the land.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּי־צִוָּהki-tsiv/VAthat commandedאֲחִיa/CHIthe brotherשִׁבְלוֹםSHIV/lomof Shiblomלְהָמִיתle/ha/MITto put to deathאֶת־כׇּל־הַנְּבִיאִיםet-kol-han/ne/vi/IMall the prophetsהַמִּתְנַבְּאִיםham/mit/nab/be/IMwho prophesiedעַל־הַשְׁמָדַתal-hash/ma/DATconcerning the destructionהָעָם׃ha/AMof the people

   And it came to pass that the brother of Shiblom caused that all the prophets who prophesied of the destruction of the people should be put to death;

6. 6

   וַתְּהִיvat/te/HIand there wasצָרָהtsa/RAcalamityגְדוֹלָהge/do/LAgreatבְּכׇל־הָאָרֶץbe/KHOL-ha/A/retsin all the landכִּיkiforהֵעִידוּhe/I/duthey testifiedכִּיkithatתָבוֹאta/VOshould comeקְלָלָהke/la/LAa curseגְדוֹלָהge/do/LAgreatעַל־הָאָרֶץal-ha/A/retsupon the landוְגַםve/GAMand alsoעַל־הָעָםal-ha/AMupon the peopleוְכִיve/KHIand thatיִהְיֶהyih/YEthere should beבָםvamamong themהֶרֶסHE/resa destructionגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichכָּמוֹהוּka/mo/HUlike itלֹא־הָיָהlo-ha/YAhad not beenעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the faceהָאֲדָמָהha/a/da/MAof the earthוְעַצְמוֹתֵיהֶםve/ats/mo/te/HEMand their bonesתִּהְיֶינָהtih/YE/nashould becomeכַּעֲרֵמוֹתka/a/re/MOTas heapsעָפָרa/FARof earthעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the faceהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the landאִם־לֹאim-loexceptיָשׁוּבוּya/SHU/vuthey should repentמֵרִשְׁעָתָם׃me/rish/a/TAMfrom their wickedness

   And there was great calamity in all the land, for they had testified that a great curse should come upon the land, and also upon the people, and that there should be a great destruction among them, such an one as never had been upon the face of the earth, and their bones should become as heaps of earth upon the face of the land except they should repent of their wickedness.

   וְלֹאve/LOand notשָׁמְעוּsha/me/Uthey hearkenedלְקוֹלle/KOLunto the voiceיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofקִשְׁרֵיkish/REthe combinationsרִשְׁעָםrish/AMof their wickednessלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeהֵחֵלּוּhe/CHEL/luthere began to beמִלְחָמוֹתmil/cha/MOTwarsוּמְרִיבוֹתu/me/ri/VOTand contentionsבְּכׇל־הָאָרֶץbe/KHOL-ha/A/retsin all the landוְגַםve/GAMand alsoרְעָבוֹןre/a/VONfamineוּמַגֵּפוֹתu/mag/ge/FOTand pestilencesרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyעַד־כִּיad-kiinsomuch thatהָיָהha/YAthere wasהֶרֶסHE/resdestructionגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichכָּמוֹהוּka/mo/HUlike itלֹאlonotנוֹדַעno/DAhad been knownעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the faceהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the landוְכׇל־זֹאתve/KHOL-zotand all thisהָיְתָהha/ye/TAwasבִּימֵיbi/MEin the daysשִׁבְלוֹם׃SHIV/lomof Shiblom

   And they hearkened not unto the voice of the Lord, because of their wicked combinations; wherefore, there began to be wars and contentions in all the land, and also many famines and pestilences, insomuch that there was a great destruction, such an one as never had been known upon the face of the earth; and all this came to pass in the days of Shiblom.

8. 8

   וַיָּחֶלvay/YA/cheland beganהָעָםha/AMthe peopleלָשׁוּבla/SHUVto repentמֵעֲוֹנָםme/a/vo/NAMof their iniquityוּכְכׇלu/khe/KHOLand according to allאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעָשׂוּa/SUthey didוַיְרַחֵםvay/ra/CHEMhad mercyיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiעֲלֵיהֶם׃a/le/HEMupon them

   And the people began to repent of their iniquity; and inasmuch as they did the Lord did have mercy on them.

9. 9

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatנֶהֱרַגne/he/RAGwas slainשִׁבְלוֹםSHIV/lomShiblomוְשֵׁתve/SHETand Sethהוּבָאhu/VAwas broughtלַשֶּׁבִיlash/SHE/viinto captivityוַיֵּשֶׁבvay/YE/shevand dweltבַּשֶּׁבִיbash/SHE/viin captivityכׇּל־יָמָיו׃kol-ya/MAYVall his days

   And it came to pass that Shiblom was slain, and Seth was brought into captivity, and did dwell in captivity all his days.

10. 10

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatלָכַדla/KHADtookאָחַחA/chachAhahבְּנוֹbe/NOhis sonאֶת־הַמַּמְלָכָהet-ham/mam/la/KHAthe kingdomוַיִּמְלֹךְvay/yim/LOKHand he reignedעַל־הָעָםal-ha/AMover the peopleכׇּל־יָמָיוkol-ya/MAYVall his daysוַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand he didכׇּל־מִינֵיkol-mi/NEall mannerעָוֹןa/VONof iniquityבְּיָמָיוbe/ya/MAYVin his daysאֲשֶׁרa/SHERby whichהֵבִיאhe/VIhe causedלִשְׁפֹּךְlish/POKHto shedדָּמִיםda/MIMbloodרַבִּיםrab/BIMmuchוַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUand wereיָמָיוya/MAYVhis daysמְעַטִּים׃me/at/TIMfew

    And it came to pass that Ahah, his son, did obtain the kingdom; and he did reign over the people all his days. And he did do all manner of iniquity in his days, by which he did cause the shedding of much blood; and few were his days.

11. 11

    וְאֶתֶםve/E/temand Ethemמִזֶּרַעmiz/ZE/raa descendantאָחַחA/chachof Ahahוַיַּשֵּׂגvay/yas/SEGobtainedאֶת־הַמַּמְלָכָהet-ham/mam/la/KHAthe kingdomוַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand he didגַּם־הוּאgam-hualso heהָרַעha/RAthat which was wickedבְּיָמָיו׃be/ya/MAYVin his days

    And Ethem, being a descendant of Ahah, did obtain the kingdom; and he also did do that which was wicked in his days.

12. 12

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatבָּאוּBA/ucameבִּימֵיbi/MEin the daysאֶתֶםE/temof Ethemנְבִיאִיםne/vi/IMprophetsרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוַיִּתְנַבְּאוּvay/yit/nab/be/Uand they prophesiedשֵׁנִיתshe/NITagainלָעָםla/AMto the peopleאַףafyeaנִבְּאוּnib/be/Uthey prophesiedכִּיkithatיַשְׁמִידֵםyash/mi/DEMwould destroy themיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiכָּלִילka/LILutterlyמֵעַלme/ALfrom offפְּנֵיpe/NEthe faceהָאֲדָמָהha/a/da/MAof the earthאִם־לֹאim-loif notיָשׁוּבוּya/SHU/vuthey repentedמֵעֲוֹנוֹתֵיהֶם׃me/a/vo/no/te/HEMof their iniquities

    And it came to pass that in the days of Ethem there came many prophets, and prophesied again unto the people; yea, they did prophesy that the Lord would utterly destroy them from off the face of the earth except they repented of their iniquities.

13. 13

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatהִקְשׁוּhik/SHUhardenedהָעָםha/AMthe peopleאֶת־לִבָּםet-lib/BAMtheir heartsוְלֹאve/LOand notשָׁמְעוּsha/me/Uthey hearkenedלְדִבְרֵיהֶםle/div/re/HEMunto their wordsוַיִּתְאַבְּלוּvay/yit/ab/be/LUand mournedהַנְּבִיאִיםhan/ne/vi/IMthe prophetsוַיִּפְרְשׁוּvay/yif/re/SHUand withdrewמִתּוֹךְmit/TOKHfrom amongהָעָם׃ha/AMthe people

    And it came to pass that the people hardened their hearts, and would not hearken unto their words; and the prophets mourned and withdrew from among the people.

14. 14

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatשָׁפַטsha/FATjudgedאֶתֶםE/temEthemבְּרֶשַׁעbe/RE/shain wickednessכׇּל־יָמָיוkol-ya/MAYVall his daysוַיּוֹלֶדvay/YO/ledand he begatאֶת־מוֹרוֹןet-MO/ronMoronוַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatמָלַךְma/LAKHreignedמוֹרוֹןMO/ronMoronתַּחְתָּיוtach/TAYVin his steadוַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand didמוֹרוֹןMO/ronMoronהָרַעha/RAthat which was wickedבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyesיְהוָה׃Adonaiof Adonai

    And it came to pass that Ethem did execute judgment in wickedness all his days; and he begat Moron. And it came to pass that Moron did reign in his stead; and Moron did that which was wicked before the Lord.

15. 15

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatקָםkamaroseמֶרֶדME/reda rebellionבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHamongהָעָםha/AMthe peopleבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofבְּרִיתbe/RITthe combinationהַסֵּתֶרhas/SE/terof the secretהַהִיאha/HIthatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהוּקְמָהhuk/MAwas establishedלְהַשִּׂיגle/has/SIGto getמֶמְשָׁלָהmem/sha/LApowerוּבֶצַעu/VE/tsaand gainוַיָּקׇםvay/YA/komand there aroseאִישׁisha manגִּבּוֹרgib/BORmightyבְּתוֹכָםbe/to/KHAMamong themבְּרֶשַׁעbe/RE/shain wickednessוַיִּלָּחֶםvay/yil/LA/chemand he foughtבְּמוֹרוֹןbe/MO/ronagainst Moronוַיַּפֵּלvay/yap/PELand he overthrewחֲצִיcha/TSIthe halfהַמַּמְלָכָהham/mam/la/KHAof the kingdomוַיַּחֲזֵקvay/ya/cha/ZEKand he maintainedבַּחֲצִיba/cha/TSIthe halfהַמַּמְלָכָהham/mam/la/KHAof the kingdomשָׁנִיםsha/NIMyearsרַבּוֹת׃rab/BOTmany

    And it came to pass that there arose a rebellion among the people, because of that secret combination which was built up to get power and gain; and there arose a mighty man among them in iniquity, and gave battle unto Moron, in which he did overthrow the half of the kingdom; and he did maintain the half of the kingdom for many years.

16. 16

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatהִפִּילhip/PILoverthrewמוֹרוֹןMO/ronMoronאוֹתוֹo/TOhimוַיָּשֶׁבvay/YA/shevand he restoredאֶת־הַמַּמְלָכָה׃et-ham/mam/la/KHAthe kingdom

    And it came to pass that Moron did overthrow him, and did obtain the kingdom again.

17. 17

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatקָםkamaroseגִּבּוֹרgib/BORa mighty manאַחֵרa/CHERanotherוְהוּאve/HUand heמִזֶּרַעmiz/ZE/raa descendantאֲחִיa/CHIof the brotherיֶרֶד׃YE/redof Jared

    And it came to pass that there arose another mighty man; and he was a descendant of the brother of Jared.

18. 18

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatהִפִּילhip/PILhe overthrewאֶת־מוֹרוֹןet-MO/ronMoronוַיִּלְכֹּדvay/yil/KODand tookאֶת־הַמַּמְלָכָהet-ham/mam/la/KHAthe kingdomלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeיָשַׁבya/SHAVdweltמוֹרוֹןMO/ronMoronבַּשֶּׁבִיbash/SHE/viin captivityכׇּל־יֶתֶרkol-YE/terall the remainderיָמָיוya/MAYVof his daysוַיּוֹלֶדvay/YO/ledand he begatאֶת־כּוֹרִיַנְטוֹר׃et-Ko/ri/YAN/torCoriantor

    And it came to pass that he did overthrow Moron and obtain the kingdom; wherefore, Moron dwelt in captivity all the remainder of his days; and he begat Coriantor.

19. 19

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatיָשַׁבya/SHAVdweltכּוֹרִיַנְטוֹרKo/ri/YAN/torCoriantorבַּשֶּׁבִיbash/SHE/viin captivityכׇּל־יָמָיו׃kol-ya/MAYVall his days

    And it came to pass that Coriantor dwelt in captivity all his days.

20. 20

    וּבִימֵיu/vi/MEand in the daysכּוֹרִיַנְטוֹרKo/ri/YAN/torof CoriantorבָּאוּBA/ucameגַם־כֵּןgam-kenalsoנְבִיאִיםne/vi/IMprophetsרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוַיִּתְנַבְּאוּvay/yit/nab/be/Uand they prophesiedדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMthingsגְּדוֹלִיםge/do/LIMgreatוְנִפְלָאִיםve/nif/la/IMand marvelousוַיִּקְרְאוּvay/yik/re/Uand criedאֶל־הָעָםel-ha/AMunto the peopleשׁוּבוּSHU/vurepentוְאִם־לֹאve/IM-loand exceptיָשׁוּבוּya/SHU/vuthey should repentיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEwould executeיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodמִשְׁפָּטmish/PATjudgmentבָּםbamagainst themלְהַשְׁמִידָםle/hash/mi/DAMto destroy themכָּלִיל׃ka/LILutterly

    And in the days of Coriantor there also came many prophets, and prophesied of great and marvelous things, and cried repentance unto the people, and except they should repent the Lord God would execute judgment against them to their utter destruction;

21. 21

    וְכִיve/KHIand thatיִשְׁלַחyish/LACHwould sendאוֹoorיָבִיאya/VIbring forthיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodעַםama peopleאַחֵרa/CHERotherלָרֶשֶׁתla/RE/shetto possessאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landבִּגְבוּרָתוֹbig/vu/ra/TOby his powerכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERaccording asהֵבִיאhe/VIhe broughtאֶת־אֲבוֹתֵיהֶם׃et-a/vo/te/HEMtheir fathers

    And that the Lord God would send or bring forth another people to possess the land, by his power, after the manner by which he brought their fathers.

22. 22

    וַיִּמְאֲסוּvay/yim/a/SUand they rejectedאֶת־כׇּל־דִּבְרֵיet-kol-div/REall the wordsהַנְּבִיאִיםhan/ne/vi/IMof the prophetsבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofחֶבְרַתchev/RATthe societyסִתְרָםsit/RAMof their secretוְתוֹעֲבוֹתֵיהֶםve/to/a/vo/te/HEMand their abominationsהָרָעוֹת׃ha/ra/OTthe wicked

    And they did reject all the words of the prophets, because of their secret society and wicked abominations.

23. 23

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatהוֹלִידho/LIDbegatכּוֹרִיַנְטוֹרKo/ri/YAN/torCoriantorאֶת־אֶתֶרet-E/terEtherוַיָּמׇתvay/YA/motand he diedוְהוּאve/HUand heיָשַׁבya/SHAVdweltבַּשֶּׁבִיbash/SHE/viin captivityכׇּל־יָמָיו׃kol-ya/MAYVall his days

    And it came to pass that Coriantor begat Ether, and he died, having dwelt in captivity all his days.
