   And now it came to pass that after Alma had spoken these words unto them he sat down upon the ground, and Amulek arose and began to teach them, saying:

   My brethren, I think that it is impossible that ye should be ignorant of the things which have been spoken concerning the coming of Christ, who is taught by us to be the Son of God; yea, I know that these things were taught unto you bountifully before your dissension from among us.

   וְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand asבִּקַּשְׁתֶּםbik/kash/TEMyou desiredמֵאָחִיme/a/CHIof my brotherהָאָהוּבha/a/HUVbelovedלְהוֹדִיעַle/ho/DI/ato make knownלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youמַהmawhatתַּעֲשׂוּta/a/SUyou should doבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofצָרוֹתֵיכֶםtsa/ro/te/KHEMyour afflictionsוַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand he spokeאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMunto youמְעַטme/ATsomewhatלְהָכִיןle/ha/KHINto prepareאֶת־לִבְּכֶםet-lib/be/KHEMyour heartsהֵןhenyeaהִזְהִירְכֶםhiz/hi/re/KHEMhe exhorted youלֶאֱמוּנָהle/e/mu/NAunto faithוּלְאֹרֶךְu/le/O/rekhand to patienceרוּחַ׃RU/achof spirit

   And as ye have desired of my beloved brother that he should make known unto you what ye should do, because of your afflictions; and he hath spoken somewhat unto you to prepare your minds; yea, and he hath exhorted you unto faith and to patience—

   הֵןhenyeaכִּיkithatתִּהְיֶהtih/YEthere would beלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithרַבָּהrab/BAmuchאַףafevenלִזְרֹעַliz/RO/ato plantאֶת־הַדָּבָרet-had/da/VARthe wordבִּלְבַבְכֶםbil/vav/KHEMin your heartsלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתְּנַסּוּte/nas/SUyou may tryאֶת־טוּבוֹ׃et-tu/VOits goodness

   Yea, even that ye would have so much faith as even to plant the word in your hearts, that ye may try the experiment of its goodness.

   וְרָאִינוּve/ra/I/nuand we beheldכִּיkithatהַשְּׁאֵלָהhash/she/e/LAthe questionהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAthe greatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבְּלִבְּכֶםbe/lib/be/KHEMin your heartsהִיאhiisאִםimwhetherהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe wordבְּבֶן־אֱלֹהִיםbe/VEN-e/lo/HIMin the Son of Godאוֹoorאִם־לֹאim-lowhether notיִהְיֶהyih/YEthere shall beמָשִׁיחַ׃Ma/SHI/achChrist

   And we have beheld that the great question which is in your minds is whether the word be in the Son of God, or whether there shall be no Christ.

   וְגַם־רְאִיתֶםve/GAM-re/i/TEMand you also beheldכִּיkithatהוֹכִיחַho/KHI/achprovedלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youאָחִיa/CHImy brotherבִּדְבָרִיםbid/va/RIMin instancesרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyכִּיkithatהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe wordבַּמָּשִׁיחַbam/Ma/SHI/achis in Christלִישׁוּעָה׃li/shu/Aunto salvation

   And ye also beheld that my brother has proved unto you, in many instances, that the word is in Christ unto salvation.

   My brother has called upon the words of Zenos, that redemption cometh through the Son of God, and also upon the words of Zenock; and also he has appealed unto Moses, to prove that these things are true.

   וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאָעִידa/IDI will testifyלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youמִנַּפְשִׁיmin/naf/SHIof myselfכִּיkithatאֱמֶתe/METare trueהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֹמֵרo/MERsayאֲנִיa/NIIלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youכִּיkithatיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowכִּיkithatיָבוֹאya/VOshall comeהַמָּשִׁיחַHam/ma/SHI/achChristבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHamongבְּנֵי־הָאָדָםbe/NE-ha/a/DAMthe children of menלָשֵׂאתla/SETto take upon himאֶת־פִּשְׁעֵיet-pish/Ethe transgressionsעַמּוֹam/MOof his peopleוְכִיve/KHIand thatיְכַפֵּרye/khap/PERhe shall atoneעַל־חַטֹּאתal-chat/TOTfor the sinsהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMof the worldכִּי־יְהוָהki-Adonaifor Adonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodדִּבֵּר׃dib/BERspoke

   And now, behold, I will testify unto you of myself that these things are true. Behold, I say unto you, that I do know that Christ shall come among the children of men, to take upon him the transgressions of his people, and that he shall atone for the sins of the world; for the Lord God hath spoken it.

   כִּיkiforנָכוֹןna/KHONit is expedientלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto makeכַּפָּרָהkap/pa/RAan atonementכִּיkiforכְּפִיke/FIaccording toעֲצַתa/TSATthe planאֵלelof the GodעוֹלָםO/LAMEternalהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAgreatתֵּעָשֶׂהte/a/SEthere must be madeכַּפָּרָהkap/pa/RAan atonementוְאִם־לֹאve/IM-loor elseיֹאבַדyo/VADmust perishכׇּלkolallהָאָדָםha/a/DAMmankindבְּאֵיןbe/ENwith noמָנוֹסma/NOSescapeאַףafyeaהַכֹּלhak/KOLallקְשֵׁי־עֹרֶףke/SHE-O/refare hardenedאַףafyeaהַכֹּלhak/KOLallנָפְלוּna/fe/LUare fallenוְאָבְדוּve/a/ve/DUand are lostוְיֹאבְדוּve/yo/ve/DUand must perishכִּי־אִםki-imexceptבַּכַּפָּרָהbak/kap/pa/RAthrough the atonementאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנָכוֹןna/KHONit is expedientלַעֲשׂוֹת׃la/a/SOTto make

   For it is expedient that an atonement should be made; for according to the great plan of the Eternal God there must be an atonement made, or else all mankind must unavoidably perish; yea, all are hardened; yea, all are fallen and are lost, and must perish except it be through the atonement which it is expedient should be made.

    כִּיkiforנָכוֹןna/KHONit is expedientלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTthat there should beזֶבַחZE/vacha sacrificeגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatוְאַחֲרוֹןve/a/cha/RONand lastאַףafyeaלֹאlonotזֶבַחZE/vacha sacrificeאָדָםa/DAMof manוְלֹאve/LOneitherזֶבַחZE/vacha sacrificeבְּהֵמָהbe/he/MAof beastוְלֹאve/LOneitherכׇלkholanyמִיןminmannerעוֹףofof fowlכִּי־לֹאki-lofor notיִהְיֶהyih/YEit shall beזֶבַחZE/vacha sacrificeאָדָםa/DAMof manאַךְakhbutיִהְיֶהyih/YEit must beזֶבַחZE/vacha sacrificeאֵין־קֵץen-ketsinfiniteוְעוֹלָם׃ve/o/LAMand eternal

    For it is expedient that there should be a great and last sacrifice; yea, not a sacrifice of man, neither of beast, neither of any manner of fowl; for it shall not be a human sacrifice; but it must be an infinite and eternal sacrifice.

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAnowאֵיןenthere is notאִישׁishany manאֲשֶׁר־יוּכַלa/SHER-yu/KHALthat canלִזְבֹּחַliz/BO/achsacrificeאֶת־דָּמוֹet-da/MOhis own bloodאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיְכַפֵּרye/khap/PERwill atoneעַל־חַטֹּאתal-chat/TOTfor the sinsאַחֵרa/CHERof anotherוְעַתָּהve/at/TAnowאִםimifיִרְצַחyir/TSACHmurdersאִישׁisha manהֲתִקַּחha/tik/KACHwill takeתּוֹרָתֵנוּto/ra/te/NUour lawהַיְשָׁרָהhay/sha/RAwhich is justאֶת־נֶפֶשׁet-NE/feshthe lifeאָחִיוa/CHIVof his brotherאֹמֵרo/MERsayאֲנִיa/NIIלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youלֹא׃lonay

    Now there is not any man that can sacrifice his own blood which will atone for the sins of another. Now, if a man murdereth, behold will our law, which is just, take the life of his brother? I say unto you, Nay.

12. 12

    אַךְakhbutהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawדּוֹרֶשֶׁתdo/RE/shetrequiresאֶת־נֶפֶשׁet-NE/feshthe lifeהָרוֹצֵחַha/ro/TSE/achof the murdererלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeלֹאlonotיַסְפִּיקyas/PIKwill sufficeדָּבָרda/VARanythingכִּי־אִםki-imsave it beכַּפָּרָהkap/pa/RAan atonementאֵין־קֵץen-ketsinfiniteלְחַטֹּאתle/chat/TOTfor the sinsהָעוֹלָם׃ha/o/LAMof the world

    But the law requireth the life of him who hath murdered; therefore there can be nothing which is short of an infinite atonement which will suffice for the sins of the world.

13. 13

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeנָכוֹןna/KHONit is expedientלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTthat there should beזֶבַחZE/vacha sacrificeגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatוְאַחֲרוֹןve/a/cha/RONand lastוְאָזve/AZand thenיִהְיֶהyih/YEthere shall beאוֹoorנָכוֹןna/KHONit is expedientלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTthere should beקֵץketsa stopלִשְׁפֹּךְlish/POKHto the sheddingדָּמִיםda/MIMof bloodאָזazthenתִּמָּלֵאtim/ma/LEshall be fulfilledתּוֹרַתto/RATthe lawמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEof Mosesאַףafyeaתִּמָּלֵאtim/ma/LEit shall be fulfilledכֻלָּהּkhul/LAall of itכׇּלkoleveryיוֹדyodjotוְקוֹץve/KOTSand tittleוְלֹאve/LOand notיַעֲבֹרya/a/VORshall pass awayדָּבָר׃da/VARany thing

    Therefore, it is expedient that there should be a great and last sacrifice, and then shall there be, or it is expedient there should be, a stop to the shedding of blood; then shall the law of Moses be fulfilled; yea, it shall be all fulfilled, every jot and tittle, and none shall have passed away.

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdזֶהzethisכׇּלkolis allטַעַםTA/amthe meaningהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAof the lawכֻּלָּהּkul/LAevery whitמוֹרָהmo/RApointingאֶלeltoהַזֶּבַחhaz/ZE/vachthe sacrificeהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLgreatוְהָאַחֲרוֹןve/ha/a/cha/RONand lastוְהַזֶּבַחve/haz/ZE/vachand the sacrificeהַהוּאha/HUthatהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLgreatוְהָאַחֲרוֹןve/ha/a/cha/RONand lastיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beבֶּן־אֱלֹהִיםben-E/lo/HIMthe Son of Godאַףafyeaאֵין־קֵץen-ketsinfiniteוְעוֹלָם׃ve/o/LAMand eternal

    And behold, this is the whole meaning of the law, every whit pointing to that great and last sacrifice; and that great and last sacrifice will be the Son of God, yea, infinite and eternal.

    וְכָכָהve/KHA/khaand thusיָבִיאya/VIhe shall bringיְשׁוּעָהye/shu/Asalvationלְכׇלle/KHOLto allהַמַּאֲמִינִיםham/ma/a/mi/NIMthose who shall believeבִּשְׁמוֹbish/MOon his nameוְלָזֹאתve/la/ZOTand for thisהַזֶּבַחhaz/ZE/vachthe sacrificeהָאַחֲרוֹןha/a/cha/RONlastלְהָבִיאle/ha/VIto bring aboutמְעֵיme/Ethe bowelsרַחֲמִיםra/cha/MIMof mercyהַגֹּבְרִיםhag/gov/RIMwhich overpowerעַלaloverהַמִּשְׁפָּטham/mish/PATjusticeוּמְבִיאִיםu/me/vi/IMand brings aboutלִבְנֵי־הָאָדָםliv/NE-ha/a/DAMunto menדֶּרֶךְDE/rekha wayלְהַאֲמִיןle/ha/a/MINto believeוְלָשׁוּב׃ve/la/SHUVand to repent

    And thus he shall bring salvation to all those who shall believe on his name; this being the intent of this last sacrifice, to bring about the bowels of mercy, which overpowereth justice, and bringeth about means unto men that they may have faith unto repentance.

    וְכָכָהve/KHA/khaand thusיוּכַלyu/KHALcanהַחֶסֶדha/CHE/sedmercyלְהַשְׁלִיםle/hash/LIMsatisfyאֶת־מִשְׁפַּטet-mish/PATthe judgmentהַצֶּדֶקhats/TSE/dekof justiceוּמַקִּיפָםu/mak/ki/FAMand encircles themבִּזְרוֹעוֹתbiz/ro/OTin the armsהַבִּטָּחוֹןhab/bit/ta/CHONof safetyאַךְakhwhileהָעֹשֶׂהha/o/SEhe that exercisesבְּלִיbe/LIwithoutאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithלָשׁוּבla/SHUVunto repentanceחָשׂוּףcha/SUFis exposedלְכׇלle/KHOLto the wholeמִשְׁפַּטmish/PATthe judgmentהַצֶּדֶקhats/TSE/dekof justiceלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeרַקrakonlyלְבַעַלle/VA/alunto him that hasהָאֱמוּנָהha/e/mu/NAfaithלָשׁוּבla/SHUVunto repentanceמוּבֵאתmu/VETis brought aboutעֲצַתa/TSATthe planהַגְּאֻלָּהhag/ge/ul/LAof redemptionהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAgreatאֲשֶׁר־לְעוֹלָם׃a/SHER-le/o/LAMeternal

    And thus mercy can satisfy the demands of justice, and encircles them in the arms of safety, while he that exercises no faith unto repentance is exposed to the whole law of the demands of justice; therefore only unto him that has faith unto repentance is brought about the great and eternal plan of redemption.

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeיִתֵּןyit/TENmay grantאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youאַחַיa/CHAYmy brethrenכִּיkithatתָחֵלּוּta/chel/LUyou may beginלְהַאֲמִיןle/ha/a/MINto believeוְלָשׁוּבve/la/SHUVand to repentכִּיkithatתָחֵלּוּta/chel/LUyou beginלִקְרֹאlik/ROto call uponבִּשְׁמוֹbish/MOhis nameהַקָּדוֹשׁhak/ka/DOSHholyכִּיkithatיְרַחֵםye/ra/CHEMhe would have mercyעֲלֵיכֶם׃a/le/KHEMupon you

    Therefore may God grant unto you, my brethren, that ye may begin to exercise your faith unto repentance, that ye begin to call upon his holy name, that he would have mercy upon you;

18. 18

    הֵןhenyeaזַעֲקוּza/a/KUcryאֵלָיוe/LAYVunto himלְרַחֲמִיםle/ra/cha/MIMfor mercyכִּיkiforגִבּוֹרgib/BORis mightyהוּאhuheלְהוֹשִׁיעַ׃le/ho/SHI/ato save

    Yea, cry unto him for mercy; for he is mighty to save.

19. 19

    הֵןhenyeaהִכָּנְעוּhik/ka/ne/Uhumble yourselvesוְשִׁקְדוּve/shik/DUand continueבַּתְּפִלָּהbat/te/fil/LAin prayerאֵלָיו׃e/LAYVunto him

    Yea, humble yourselves, and continue in prayer unto him.

20. 20

    זַעֲקוּza/a/KUcryאֵלָיוe/LAYVunto himבִּהְיוֹתְכֶםbih/yot/KHEMwhen you areבִּשְׂדוֹתֵיכֶםbis/do/te/KHEMin your fieldsאַףafyeaעַלaloverכׇּלkolallעֶדְרֵיכֶם׃ed/re/KHEMyour flocks

    Cry unto him when ye are in your fields, yea, over all your flocks.

21. 21

    זַעֲקוּza/a/KUcryאֵלָיוe/LAYVunto himבְּבָתֵּיכֶםbe/vat/te/KHEMin your housesאַףafyeaעַלaloverכׇּלkolallבֵּיתְכֶםbe/te/KHEMyour householdבַּבֹּקֶרbab/BO/kerin the morningוּבַצׇּהֳרַיִםu/vats/tso/ho/RA/yimand at middayוּבָעֶרֶב׃u/va/E/revand in the evening

    Cry unto him in your houses, yea, over all your household, both morning, mid-day, and evening.

22. 22

    הֵןhenyeaזַעֲקוּza/a/KUcryאֵלָיוe/LAYVunto himנֶגֶדNE/gedagainstכֹּחַKO/achthe powerאֹיְבֵיכֶם׃oy/ve/KHEMof your enemies

    Yea, cry unto him against the power of your enemies.

23. 23

    הֵןhenyeaזַעֲקוּza/a/KUcryאֵלָיוe/LAYVunto himנֶגֶדNE/gedagainstהַשָּׂטָןhas/sa/TANthe devilאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoאוֹיֵבo/YEVis an enemyלְכׇלle/KHOLto allצְדָקָה׃tse/da/KArighteousness

    Yea, cry unto him against the devil, who is an enemy to all righteousness.

24. 24

    זַעֲקוּza/a/KUcryאֵלָיוe/LAYVunto himעַלaloverתְּבוּאוֹתte/vu/OTthe cropsשְׂדוֹתֵיכֶםse/do/te/KHEMof your fieldsלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתַּצְלִיחוּtats/li/CHUyou may prosperבָהֶן׃va/HENin them

    Cry unto him over the crops of your fields, that ye may prosper in them.

25. 25

    זַעֲקוּza/a/KUcryעַל־עֶדְרֵיal-ed/REover the flocksשְׂדוֹתֵיכֶםse/do/te/KHEMof your fieldsלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִרְבּוּ׃yir/BUthey may increase

    Cry over the flocks of your fields, that they may increase.

26. 26

    אַךְakhbutלֹא־זֹאתlo-zotnot thisלְבַדle/VADaloneעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMyou mustלִשְׁפֹּךְlish/POKHpour outאֶת־נַפְשְׁכֶםet-naf/she/KHEMyour soulsבְּחַדְרֵיכֶםbe/chad/re/KHEMin your closetsוּבִמְקוֹמוֹתu/vim/ko/MOTand in the placesסִתְרֵיכֶםsit/re/KHEMof your secretוּבְמִדְבַּרְכֶם׃u/ve/mid/bar/KHEMand in your wilderness

    But this is not all; ye must pour out your souls in your closets, and your secret places, and in your wilderness.

    הֵןhenyeaוְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand whenלֹאlonotתִזְעֲקוּtiz/a/KUyou cryאֶל־יְהוָהel-Adonaiunto Adonaiיְהִיye/HIlet beלִבְּכֶםlib/be/KHEMyour heartsמָלֵאma/LEfullנִמְשָׁךְnim/SHAKHdrawn outבִּתְפִלָּהbit/fil/LAin prayerאֵלָיוe/LAYVunto himתָּמִידta/MIDcontinuallyלְטוֹבַתְכֶםle/to/vat/KHEMfor your welfareוְגַםve/GAMand alsoלְטוֹבַתle/to/VATfor the welfareכׇּלkolof allסְבִיבוֹתֵיכֶם׃se/vi/vo/te/KHEMaround you

    Yea, and when you do not cry unto the Lord, let your hearts be full, drawn out in prayer unto him continually for your welfare, and also for the welfare of those who are around you.

    And now behold, my beloved brethren, I say unto you, do not suppose that this is all; for after ye have done all these things, if ye turn away the needy, and the naked, and visit not the sick and afflicted, and impart of your substance, if ye have, to those who stand in need—I say unto you, if ye do not any of these things, behold, your prayer is vain, and availeth you nothing, and ye are as hypocrites who do deny the faith.

29. 29

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeאִם־לֹאim-loif notתִזְכְּרוּtiz/ke/RUyou rememberלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beנְדִיבִיםne/di/VIMcharitableהֱיִיתֶםhe/yi/TEMyou areכְּסִגִיםke/si/GIMas drossאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיַשְׁלִיכוּyash/LI/khucast outהַמְּצָרְפִיםham/me/tsa/re/FIMthe refinersכִּיkiforאֵין־בָּםen-bamthere is in them noמוֹעִילmo/ILworthוְנִרְמָסִיםve/nir/ma/SIMand are troddenבְּרַגְלֵיbe/rag/LEunder footאָדָם׃a/DAMof men

    Therefore, if ye do not remember to be charitable, ye are as dross, which the refiners do cast out, (it being of no worth) and is trodden under foot of men.

30. 30

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאַחַיa/CHAYmy brethrenחָפַצְתִּיcha/FATS/tiI wouldכִּיkithatאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterהֱיוֹתhe/YOTthere have beenלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youעֵדִיםe/DIMwitnessesרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyבִּרְאוֹתְכֶםbir/ot/KHEMseeingכִּיkithatכִּתְבֵיkit/VEthe scripturesהַקֹּדֶשׁhak/KO/deshholyמְעִידִיםme/i/DIMtestifyעַל־אֵלֶּהal-EL/leof these thingsתָּבֹאוּta/VO/uyou come forthוְתָבִיאוּve/ta/VI/uand bringפְּרִיpe/RIfruitתְּשׁוּבָה׃te/shu/VAunto repentance

    And now, my brethren, I would that, after ye have received so many witnesses, seeing that the holy scriptures testify of these things, ye come forth and bring fruit unto repentance.

31. 31

    הֵןhenyeaחָפַצְתִּיcha/FATS/tiI wouldכִּיkithatתָבֹאוּta/VO/uyou would come forthוְאַלve/ALand notתַּקְשׁוּtak/SHUhardenאֶת־לְבַבְכֶםet-le/vav/KHEMyour heartsעוֹדodany longerכִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdעַתָּהat/TAnow isהָעֵתha/ETthe timeוְיוֹםve/YOMand the dayיְשׁוּעַתְכֶםye/shu/at/KHEMof your salvationלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeאִם־תָּשׁוּבוּim-ta/SHU/vuif you will repentוְלֹאve/LOand notתַקְשׁוּtak/SHUhardenאֶת־לְבַבְכֶםet-le/vav/KHEMyour heartsמַהֵרma/HERimmediatelyתּוּבָאtu/VAshall be broughtלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youעֲצַתa/TSATthe planהַגְּאֻלָּהhag/ge/ul/LAof redemptionהַגְּדוֹלָה׃hag/ge/do/LAgreat

    Yea, I would that ye would come forth and harden not your hearts any longer; for behold, now is the time and the day of your salvation; and therefore, if ye will repent and harden not your hearts, immediately shall the great plan of redemption be brought about unto you.

32. 32

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהַחַיִּיםha/chay/YIMthe lifeהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseהֵםhemisהָעֵתha/ETthe timeלְהִכּוֹןle/hik/KONto prepareלִקְרַאתlik/RATto meetאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאַףafyeaהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיוֹםyomthe dayהַחַיִּיםha/chay/YIMof the lifeהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseהוּאhuisיוֹםyomthe dayלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto performאֶת־מְלַאכְתָּם׃et-me/lakh/TAMtheir labors

    For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors.

33. 33

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI saidלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youמִלְּפָנִיםmil/le/fa/NIMbeforeכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasהָיוּha/YUthere have beenלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youעֵדִיםe/DIMwitnessesרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeמִתְחַנֵּןmit/chan/NENbeseechאֲנִיa/NIIאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMof youכִּי־לֹאki-lothat notתִדְחוּtid/CHUyou procrastinateאֶת־יוֹםet-yomthe dayתְּשׁוּבַתְכֶםte/shu/vat/KHEMof your repentanceעַד־הַקֵּץad-hak/KETSuntil the endכִּיkiforאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterיוֹםyomthe dayהַחַיִּיםha/chay/YIMof the lifeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisהַנִּתָּןhan/nit/TANwhich is givenלָנוּLA/nuusלְהִכּוֹןle/hik/KONto prepareלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMfor eternityהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאִם־לֹאim-loif notנֵיטִיבne/TIVwe improveאֶת־עִתֵּנוּet-it/te/NUour timeבַּחַיִּיםba/chay/YIMin the lifeהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseיָבֹאya/VOcomesלֵילlelthe nightהַחֹשֶׁךְha/CHO/shekhof darknessאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereinאֵיןenthere is noלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto performבּוֹboin itמְלָאכָה׃me/la/KHAlabor

    And now, as I said unto you before, as ye have had so many witnesses, therefore, I beseech of you that ye do not procrastinate the day of your repentance until the end; for after this day of life, which is given us to prepare for eternity, behold, if we do not improve our time while in this life, then cometh the night of darkness wherein there can be no labor performed.

34. 34

    לֹאlonotתוּכְלוּtukh/LUyou canלֵאמֹרle/MORsayבְּהוּבַאֲכֶםbe/hu/va/a/KHEMwhen you are broughtלַמֵּצַרlam/me/TSARto the crisisהַנּוֹרָאhan/no/RAthe awfulהַהוּאha/HUthatכִּיkithatאָשׁוּבa/SHUVI will repentכִּיkithatאָשׁוּבָהa/SHU/vaI will returnאֶלeltoאֱלֹהָיe/lo/HAYmy Godלֹאlonayלֹאlonotתוּכְלוּtukh/LUyou canלֵאמֹרle/MORsayזֹאתzotthisכִּיkiforהָרוּחַha/RU/achspiritהַהִיאha/HIthat sameהַיּוֹרֶשֶׁתhay/yo/RE/shetwhich possessesאֶת־גְּוִיַּתְכֶםet-ge/viy/yat/KHEMyour bodiesבְּעֵתbe/ETat the timeצֵאתְכֶםtse/te/KHEMof your going outמֵהַחַיִּיםme/ha/chay/YIMof the lifeהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseהָרוּחַha/RU/achspiritהַהִיאha/HIthat sameיִהְיֶהyih/YEthere will beלָהּlaunto itכֹּחַKO/achpowerלָרֶשֶׁתla/RE/shetto possessאֶת־גְּוִיַּתְכֶםet-ge/viy/yat/KHEMyour bodyבָּעוֹלָםba/o/LAMin the worldהַבָּאhab/BAeternalהַהוּא׃ha/HUthat

    Ye cannot say, when ye are brought to that awful crisis, that I will repent, that I will return to my God. Nay, ye cannot say this; for that same spirit which doth possess your bodies at the time that ye go out of this life, that same spirit will have power to possess your body in that eternal world.

35. 35

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאִםimifדְּחִיתֶםde/chi/TEMyou procrastinatedאֶת־יוֹםet-yomthe dayתְּשׁוּבַתְכֶםte/shu/vat/KHEMof your repentanceעַדadeven untilהַמָּוֶתham/MA/vetdeathהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהֱיִיתֶםhe/yi/TEMyou becameנִכְנָעִיםnikh/na/IMsubjectedלְרוּחַle/RU/achto the spiritהַשָּׂטָןhas/sa/TANof the devilוְהוּאve/HUand heחוֹתֵםcho/TEMsealsאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouלוֹlohisלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeרוּחַRU/achthe SpiritיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiסָרָהsa/RAhas withdrawnמֵעֲלֵיכֶםme/a/le/KHEMfrom youוְאֵיןve/ENand there is noלָהּlaunto itמָקוֹםma/KOMplaceבָּכֶםba/KHEMin youוְלַשָּׂטָןve/las/sa/TANand the devil hasכׇּל־הַכֹּחַkol-hak/KO/achall powerעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMover youוְזֶהve/ZEand this isאַחֲרִיתa/cha/RITthe final stateהָרְשָׁעִים׃ha/re/sha/IMof the wicked

    For behold, if ye have procrastinated the day of your repentance even until death, behold, ye have become subjected to the spirit of the devil, and he doth seal you his; therefore, the Spirit of the Lord hath withdrawn from you, and hath no place in you, and the devil hath all power over you; and this is the final state of the wicked.

36. 36

    וְזֹאתve/ZOTand thisיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowכִּיkibecauseאָמַרa/MARsaidיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiלֹאlonotיִשְׁכֹּןyish/KONhe dwellsבְּהֵיכָלוֹתbe/he/kha/LOTin templesטְמֵאִיםte/me/IMunholyכִּי־אִםki-imbutבְּלִבּוֹתbe/lib/BOTin the heartsהַצַּדִּיקִיםhats/tsad/di/KIMof the righteousיִשְׁכֹּןyish/KONdoes he dwellהֵןhenyeaוְגַםve/GAMand alsoאָמַרa/MARhe saidכִּיkithatהַצַּדִּיקִיםhats/tsad/di/KIMthe righteousיֵשְׁבוּyesh/VUshall sit downבְּמַלְכוּתוֹbe/mal/khu/TOin his kingdomלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TInot toצֵאתtsetgo outעוֹדodmoreוּבִגְדֵיהֶםu/vig/de/HEMand their garmentsיִלְבְּנוּyil/be/NUshall be made whiteבְּדַםbe/DAMthrough the bloodהַשֶּׂה׃has/SEof the Lamb

    And this I know, because the Lord hath said he dwelleth not in unholy temples, but in the hearts of the righteous doth he dwell; yea, and he has also said that the righteous shall sit down in his kingdom, to go no more out; but their garments should be made white through the blood of the Lamb.

37. 37

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאַחַיa/CHAYmy brethrenהָאֲהוּבִיםha/a/hu/VIMbelovedחָפַצְתִּיcha/FATS/tiI desireכִּיkithatתִזְכְּרוּtiz/ke/RUyou should rememberאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseוְכִיve/KHIand thatתִפְעֲלוּtif/a/LUyou should work outאֶת־יְשׁוּעַתְכֶםet-ye/shu/at/KHEMyour salvationבְּיִרְאָהbe/yir/Awith fearלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodוְכִיve/KHIand thatלֹאlonotתְכַחֲשׁוּte/kha/cha/SHUyou should denyעוֹדodany moreבְּבוֹאbe/VOin the comingהַמָּשִׁיחַ׃ham/Ma/SHI/achof Christ

    And now, my beloved brethren, I desire that ye should remember these things, and that ye should work out your salvation with fear before God, and that ye should no more deny the coming of Christ;

38. 38

    כִּי־לֹאki-lothat notתָרִיבוּta/RI/vuyou contendעוֹדodany moreנֶגֶדNE/gedagainstרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁRU/ach-Hak/KO/deshthe Holy Ghostכִּי־אִםki-imbutתְּקַבְּלוּהוּte/kab/be/lu/HUthat you receive itוְתִשְׂאוּve/tis/Uand takeעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMupon youאֶת־שֵׁםet-shemthe nameהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achof Christכִּיkithatתִכָּנְעוּtik/ka/ne/Uhumble yourselvesעַד־לֶעָפָרad-le/a/FAReven to the dustוְתַעַבְדוּve/ta/av/DUand worshipאֶת־אֱלֹהִיםet-e/lo/HIMGodבְּכׇל־מָקוֹםbe/KHOL-ma/KOMin whatsoever placeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתִּהְיוּtih/YUyou may beבוֹvoinבָּרוּחַba/RU/achin spiritוּבֶאֱמֶתu/ve/e/METand in truthוְכִיve/KHIand thatתִחְיוּtich/YUyou liveבְּתוֹדָהbe/to/DAin thanksgivingיוֹםyomdayיוֹםyomby dayעַלalforרֹבrovthe abundanceחֲסָדָיוcha/sa/DAYVof his merciesוּבִרְכוֹתָיוu/vir/kho/TAYVand blessingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיָחֹןya/CHONhe bestows uponאֶתְכֶם׃et/KHEMyou

    That ye contend no more against the Holy Ghost, but that ye receive it, and take upon you the name of Christ; that ye humble yourselves even to the dust, and worship God, in whatsoever place ye may be in, in spirit and in truth; and that ye live in thanksgiving daily, for the many mercies and blessings which he doth bestow upon you.

39. 39

    הֵןhenyeaוְגַםve/GAMand alsoמַזְהִירmaz/HIRexhortאֲנִיa/NIIאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouאַחַיa/CHAYmy brethrenכִּיkithatתִשְׁקְדוּtish/ke/DUyou be watchfulבַּתְּפִלָּהbat/te/fil/LAunto prayerתָּמִידta/MIDcontinuallyלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIthat you may notתִּנָּשְׂאוּtin/na/se/Ube led awayבְּנִסְיוֹנוֹתbe/nis/yo/NOTby the temptationsהַשָּׂטָןhas/sa/TANof the devilלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIthat he may notיִגְבַּרyig/BARoverpowerעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMyouלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIthat you may notתִהְיוּtih/YUbecomeלוֹlohisלַעֲבָדִיםla/a/va/DIMsubjectsבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMat the dayהָאַחֲרוֹןha/a/cha/RONthe lastכִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdלֹאlonotיִגְמׇלְכֶםyig/mol/KHEMhe rewards youטוֹב׃tovgood

    Yea, and I also exhort you, my brethren, that ye be watchful unto prayer continually, that ye may not be led away by the temptations of the devil, that he may not overpower you, that ye may not become his subjects at the last day; for behold, he rewardeth you no good thing.

40. 40

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאַחַיa/CHAYmy brethrenהָאֲהוּבִיםha/a/hu/VIMbelovedמַזְהִירmaz/HIRwould exhortאֲנִיa/NIIאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beאֲרִיכֵיa/ri/KHEpatientרוּחַRU/achof spiritוְלָשֵׂאתve/la/SETand to bearכׇּלkolallמִינֵיmi/NEmannerצָרוֹתtsa/ROTof afflictionsכִּי־לֹאki-lothat notתְגַדְּפוּte/gad/de/FUyou revileאֶת־הַמְגָרְשִׁיםet-ham/ga/re/SHIMthose who cast outאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofרֹבrovthe greatnessעׇנְיְכֶםon/ye/KHEMof your povertyפֶּןpenlestתִּהְיוּtih/YUyou becomeחֹטְאִיםchot/IMsinnersכָּמוֹהֶם׃ka/mo/HEMlike unto them

    And now my beloved brethren, I would exhort you to have patience, and that ye bear with all manner of afflictions; that ye do not revile against those who do cast you out because of your exceeding poverty, lest ye become sinners like unto them;

41. 41

    כִּי־אִםki-imbutתַּאֲרִיכוּta/a/RI/khuyou haveרוּחַRU/achpatienceוְתִשְׂאוּve/tis/Uand bear withאֶת־הַצָּרוֹתet-hats/tsa/ROTthe afflictionsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseבְּתִקְוָהbe/tik/VAwith a hopeחֲזָקָהcha/za/KAfirmכִּיkithatיוֹםyomdayאֶחָדe/CHADoneתָּנוּחוּta/nu/CHUyou shall restמִכׇּלmik/KOLfrom allצָרוֹתֵיכֶם׃tsa/ro/te/KHEMyour afflictions

    But that ye have patience, and bear with those afflictions, with a firm hope that ye shall one day rest from all your afflictions.
