   וַיִּשָּׁמַעand there was heardקוֹלa voiceבְּכׇל־יוֹשְׁבֵיamong all the inhabitants ofהָאָרֶץthe earthעַל־כׇּל־פְּנֵיupon all the face ofהָאָרֶץthe landהַזֹּאתthisקוֹרֵא׃crying

   And it came to pass that there was a voice heard among all the inhabitants of the earth, upon all the face of this land, crying:

2. 2

   אוֹיwoאוֹיwoאוֹיwoלָעָםunto the peopleהַזֶּהthisאוֹיwoלְיוֹשְׁבֵיunto the inhabitants ofכׇל־הָאָרֶץall the earthאִם־לֹאexceptיָשׁוּבוּthey shall repentכִּיforיִשְׂחַקlaughethהַשָּׂטָןthe devilוּמַלְאָכָיוand his angelsיָגִילוּrejoiceבַּעֲבוּרbecause ofהֲרוּגֵיthe slain ofבְנֵי־עַמִּיthe sons of my peopleוּבְנוֹתָיוand its daughtersהַיָּפִיםthe fairוּבִגְלַלand because ofעֲוֹנָםtheir iniquityוְתוֹעֲבוֹתֵיהֶםand their abominationsנָפָלוּ׃they are fallen

   Wo, wo, wo unto this people; wo unto the inhabitants of the whole earth except they shall repent; for the devil laugheth, and his angels rejoice, because of the slain of the fair sons and daughters of my people; and it is because of their iniquity and abominations that they are fallen!

   הִנֵּהbeholdאֶת־הָעִירthe cityהַגְּדוֹלָהthe greatזָרַהֶמְלָהZarahemlaשָׂרַפְתִּיhave I burnedבָאֵשׁwith fireוְאֶת־יוֹשְׁבֶיהָ׃and the inhabitants thereof

   Behold, that great city Zarahemla have I burned with fire, and the inhabitants thereof.

   וְהִנֵּהand beholdאֶת־הָעִירthe cityהַגְּדוֹלָהthe greatמוֹרוֹנִיMoroniהוֹרַדְתִּיhave I brought downבִּמְצוּלוֹתin the depths ofהַיָּםthe seaוְאֶת־יוֹשְׁבֶיהָand the inhabitants thereofהִטְבַּעְתִּי׃have I drowned

   And behold, that great city Moroni have I caused to be sunk in the depths of the sea, and the inhabitants thereof to be drowned.

   וְהִנֵּהand beholdאֶת־הָעִירthe cityהַגְּדוֹלָהthe greatמוֹרוֹנִיהָהMoronihahכִּסִּיתִיhave I coveredבֶעָפָרwith earthוְאֶת־יוֹשְׁבֶיהָand the inhabitants thereofלְהַסְתִּירto hideעֲוֹנוֹתֵיהֶםtheir iniquitiesוְתוֹעֲבוֹתֵיהֶםand their abominationsמִלְּפָנַיfrom before my faceלְמַעַןthatלֹא־יַעֲלֶהshall not come upעוֹדmoreדַּםthe blood ofהַנְּבִיאִיםthe prophetsוְהַקְּדוֹשִׁיםand the saintsאֵלַיunto meנֶגְדָּם׃against them

   And behold, that great city Moronihah have I covered with earth, and the inhabitants thereof, to hide their iniquities and their abominations from before my face, that the blood of the prophets and the saints shall not come any more unto me against them.

   וְהִנֵּהand beholdאֶת־עִירthe city ofגִּלְגָּלGilgalהוֹרַדְתִּיhave I brought downוְאֶת־יוֹשְׁבֶיהָand the inhabitants thereofקָבַרְתִּיhave I buried upבְּמַעֲמַקֵּיin the depths ofהָאֲדָמָה׃the earth

   And behold, the city of Gilgal have I caused to be sunk, and the inhabitants thereof to be buried up in the depths of the earth;

   הֵןyeaוְאֶת־עִירand the city ofאוֹנִיהָהOnihahוְיוֹשְׁבֶיהָand the inhabitants thereofוְאֶת־עִירand the city ofמוֹקוּםMocumוְיוֹשְׁבֶיהָand the inhabitants thereofוְאֶת־עִירand the city ofיְרוּשָׁלַיִםJerusalemוְיוֹשְׁבֶיהָand the inhabitants thereofוְהֶעֱלֵיתִיand have I brought upמַיִםwatersתַּחְתֵּיהֶםin their steadלְהַסְתִּירto hideרִשְׁעָתָםtheir wickednessוְתוֹעֲבוֹתֵיהֶםand their abominationsמִלְּפָנַיfrom before my faceלְמַעַןthatלֹא־יַעֲלֶהshall not come upעוֹדmoreדַּםthe blood ofהַנְּבִיאִיםthe prophetsוְהַקְּדוֹשִׁיםand the saintsאֵלַיunto meנֶגְדָּם׃against them

   Yea, and the city of Onihah and the inhabitants thereof, and the city of Mocum and the inhabitants thereof, and the city of Jerusalem and the inhabitants thereof; and waters have I caused to come up in the stead thereof, to hide their wickedness and abominations from before my face, that the blood of the prophets and the saints shall not come up any more unto me against them.

   וְהִנֵּהand beholdאֶת־עִירthe city ofגַּדְיַנְדִיGadiandiוְאֶת־עִירand the city ofגַּדְיוֹמְנָהGadiomnahוְאֶת־עִירand the city ofיַעֲקֹבJacobוְאֶת־עִירand the city ofגִּמְגִּמְנוֹGimgimnoאֶת־כׇּל־אֵלֶּהall theseהוֹרַדְתִּיhave I brought downוְעָשִׂיתִיand I have madeהָרִיםhillsוַעֲמָקִיםand valleysבִּמְקוֹמָםin their placesוְאֶת־יוֹשְׁבֵיהֶםand their inhabitantsקָבַרְתִּיhave I buried upבְּמַעֲמַקֵּיin the depths ofהָאֲדָמָהthe earthלְהַסְתִּירto hideרִשְׁעָתָםtheir wickednessוְתוֹעֲבוֹתֵיהֶםand their abominationsמִלְּפָנַיfrom before my faceלְמַעַןthatלֹא־יַעֲלֶהshall not come upעוֹדmoreדַּםthe blood ofהַנְּבִיאִיםthe prophetsוְהַקְּדוֹשִׁיםand the saintsאֵלַיunto meנֶגְדָּם׃against them

   And behold, the city of Gadiandi, and the city of Gadiomnah, and the city of Jacob, and the city of Gimgimno, all these have I caused to be sunk, and made hills and valleys in the places thereof; and the inhabitants thereof have I buried up in the depths of the earth, to hide their wickedness and abominations from before my face, that the blood of the prophets and the saints should not come up any more unto me against them.

   וְהִנֵּהand beholdאֶת־הָעִירthe cityהַגְּדוֹלָהthe greatיַעֲקוֹבוּגָתJacobugathאֲשֶׁרwhichיָשְׁבוּdweltבָהּin itעַםthe people ofהַמֶּלֶךְthe kingיַעֲקֹבJacobשָׂרַפְתִּיhave I burnedבָאֵשׁwith fireבַּעֲבוּרbecause ofחַטֹּאתָםtheir sinsוְרִשְׁעָתָםand their wickednessאֲשֶׁרwhichעָלְתָהwas aboveעַלaboveכׇּל־רִשְׁעַתall the wickedness ofכׇּל־הָאָרֶץall the earthבַּעֲבוּרbecause ofדְּמֵיהֶםtheir murdersהַנִּסְתָּרִיםthe secretוְקִשְׁרֵיהֶםand their combinationsכִּיforהֵמָּהtheyהִשְׁחִיתוּdestroyedאֶת־שְׁלוֹםthe peace ofעַמִּיmy peopleוְאֶת־מֶמְשֶׁלֶתand the government ofהָאָרֶץthe landעַל־כֵּןthereforeשְׂרַפְתִּיםI did burn themלְהַשְׁמִידָםto destroy themמִלְּפָנַיfrom before my faceלְמַעַןthatלֹא־יַעֲלֶהshall not come upעוֹדmoreדַּםthe blood ofהַנְּבִיאִיםthe prophetsוְהַקְּדוֹשִׁיםand the saintsאֵלַיunto meנֶגְדָּם׃against them

   And behold, that great city Jacobugath, which was inhabited by the people of king Jacob, have I caused to be burned with fire because of their sins and their wickedness, which was above all the wickedness of the whole earth, because of their secret murders and combinations; for it was they that did destroy the peace of my people and the government of the land; therefore I did cause them to be burned, to destroy them from before my face, that the blood of the prophets and the saints should not come up unto me any more against them.

    וְהִנֵּהand beholdאֶת־עִירthe city ofלָמָןLamanוְאֶת־עִירand the city ofיוֹשׁJoshוְאֶת־עִירand the city ofגָּדGadוְאֶת־עִירand the city ofקִישְׁקוּמֵןKishkumenשָׂרַפְתִּיhave I burnedבָאֵשׁwith fireוְאֶת־יוֹשְׁבֵיהֶןand the inhabitants thereofבַּעֲבוּרbecause ofרִשְׁעָתָםtheir wickednessבְּגׇרְשָׁםin their casting outאֶת־הַנְּבִיאִיםthe prophetsוּבְרָגְמָםand in their stoningאֶת־אֲשֶׁרthose whomשָׁלַחְתִּיI sentלְהַגִּידto declareלָהֶםunto themעַל־רִשְׁעָתָםconcerning their wickednessוְתוֹעֲבוֹתֵיהֶם׃and their abominations

    And behold, the city of Laman, and the city of Josh, and the city of Gad, and the city of Kishkumen, have I caused to be burned with fire, and the inhabitants thereof, because of their wickedness in casting out the prophets, and stoning those whom I did send to declare unto them concerning their wickedness and their abominations.

    וּבִגְלַלand because ofכִּיthatגֵּרְשׁוּthey had cast outאֶת־כֻּלָּםthem allעַד־כִּיinsomuch thatלֹאnotנִשְׁאַרremainedצַדִּיקrighteousבֵּינֵיהֶםamong themשָׁלַחְתִּיI sentאֵשׁfireמִמַּעַלfrom aboveוָאַשְׁמִידֵםand destroyed themלְמַעַןthatתִּסָּתֵרְנָהmight be hidרִשְׁעָתָםtheir wickednessוְתוֹעֲבוֹתֵיהֶםand their abominationsמִלְּפָנַיfrom before my faceלְמַעַןthatלֹאnotיִזְעַקmight cryאֵלַיunto meדַּםthe blood ofהַנְּבִיאִיםthe prophetsוְהַקְּדוֹשִׁיםand the saintsאֲשֶׁרwhichשָׁלַחְתִּיI sentבְתוֹכָםamong themמִן־הָאֲדָמָהfrom the groundנֶגְדָּם׃against them

    And because they did cast them all out, that there were none righteous among them, I did send down fire and destroy them, that their wickedness and abominations might be hid from before my face, that the blood of the prophets and the saints whom I sent among them might not cry unto me from the ground against them.

12. 12

    וְהַשְׁחָתוֹתand destructionsגְּדוֹלוֹתgreatרַבּוֹתmanyהֵבֵאתִיhave I broughtעַל־הָאָרֶץupon the landהַזֹּאתthisוְעַל־הָעָםand upon the peopleהַזֶּהthisבַּעֲבוּרbecause ofרִשְׁעָתָםtheir wickednessוְתוֹעֲבוֹתֵיהֶם׃and their abominations

    And many great destructions have I caused to come upon this land, and upon this people, because of their wickedness and their abominations.

13. 13

    הוֹיOכׇּל־אַתֶּםall youהַנִּמְלָטִיםthat are sparedכִּיbecauseהֱיִיתֶםyou wereצַדִּיקִיםrighteousמֵהֶםthan theyהֲלֹאwill you notתָשׁוּבוּreturnעַתָּהnowאֵלַיunto meוְתָשׁוּבוּand repentמֵחַטֹּאתֵיכֶםof your sinsוְתֵהָפְכוּand be convertedלְמַעַןthatאֶרְפָּאI may healאֶתְכֶם׃you

    O all ye that are spared because ye were more righteous than they, will ye not now return unto me, and repent of your sins, and be converted, that I may heal you?

14. 14

    הֵןyeaאָמֵןverilyאֹמֵרsayאֲנִיIלָכֶםto youאִם־תָּבֹאוּif you will comeאֵלַיunto meיִהְיוּthey shall beלָכֶםto youחַיֵּי־עוֹלָםlife eternalהִנֵּהbeholdזְרוֹעַthe arm ofחַסְדִּיmy mercyנְטוּיָהis stretched outאֲלֵיכֶםunto youוְכׇל־הַבָּאand whosoever comesאוֹתוֹhimאֲקַבֵּלI will receiveוּבְרוּכִיםand blessed areהַבָּאִיםthose who comeאֵלַי׃to me

    Yea, verily I say unto you, if ye will come unto me ye shall have eternal life. Behold, mine arm of mercy is extended towards you, and whosoever will come, him will I receive; and blessed are those who come unto me.

15. 15

    הִנֵּהbeholdאָנֹכִיIיֵשׁוּעַJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַChristבֶּן־אֱלֹהִיםSon of GodאָנֹכִיIבָרָאתִיcreatedאֶת־הַשָּׁמַיִםthe heavensוְאֶת־הָאָרֶץand the earthוְכׇל־אֲשֶׁרand all thatבָּםin themהָיִיתִיI wasעִם־הָאָבwith the Fatherמֵרֵאשִׁיתfrom the beginningאָנֹכִיIבָאָבin the Fatherוְהָאָבand the Fatherבִּיin meוּבִיand in meכִּבֵּדhath glorifiedהָאָבthe Fatherאֶת־שְׁמוֹ׃his name

    Behold, I am Jesus Christ the Son of God. I created the heavens and the earth, and all things that in them are. I was with the Father from the beginning. I am in the Father, and the Father in me; and in me hath the Father glorified his name.

16. 16

    בָּאתִיI cameאֶל־אֲשֶׁרunto them thatלִיare mineוַאֲשֶׁרand whichלִיare mineלֹאnotקִבְּלוּנִיthey received meוְהַכְּתוּבִיםand the scripturesעַל־בּוֹאִיconcerning my comingנִמְלְאוּ׃are fulfilled

    I came unto my own, and my own received me not. And the scriptures concerning my coming are fulfilled.

17. 17

    וְכֹלand allאֲשֶׁרwhichקִבְּלוּנִיhave received meנָתַתִּיI have givenלָהֶםunto themלִהְיוֹתto beבְּנֵיsons ofאֱלֹהִיםGodוְכֵןand thusאֶעֱשֶׂהwill I doלְכֹלunto allהַמַּאֲמִינִיםthat believeבִּשְׁמִיin my nameכִּיforהִנֵּהbeholdבִיin meתָבוֹאcomethהַגְּאֻלָּהthe redemptionוּבִיand in meתִּמָּלֵאis fulfilledתּוֹרַתthe law ofמֹשֶׁה׃Moses

    And as many as have received me, to them have I given to become the sons of God; and even so will I to as many as shall believe on my name, for behold, by me redemption cometh, and in me is the law of Moses fulfilled.

18. 18

    אָנֹכִיIאוֹרthe light ofהָעוֹלָםthe worldוְחַיֵּיand the life ofהָעוֹלָםthe worldאָנֹכִיIהָאָלֶףthe Alphaוְהַתָּוand the Omegaהָרֵאשִׁיתthe beginningוְהָאַחֲרִית׃and the end

    I am the light and the life of the world. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

19. 19

    וְלֹאand notתַקְרִיבוּyou shall offerלִיto meעוֹדmoreשְׁפׇךְ־דָּםthe shedding of bloodאַףyeaזִבְחֵיכֶםyour sacrificesוְעוֹלוֹתֵיכֶםand your burnt offeringsיֶחְדָּלוּshall ceaseכִּי־לֹאfor notאֶקַּחI will acceptמִזִּבְחֵיכֶםof your sacrificesוְעוֹלוֹתֵיכֶם׃and your burnt offerings

    And ye shall offer up unto me no more the shedding of blood; yea, your sacrifices and your burnt offerings shall be done away, for I will accept none of your sacrifices and your burnt offerings.

20. 20

    וְתַקְרִיבוּand you shall offerלִיto meלְקׇרְבָּןfor a sacrificeלֵב־נִשְׁבָּרa broken heartוְרוּחַand a spiritנִדְכָּהcontriteוְכׇל־הַבָּאand all that comesאֵלַיunto meבְּלֵב־נִשְׁבָּרwith a broken heartוְרוּחַand a spiritנִדְכָּהcontriteאוֹתוֹhimאַטְבִּילI will baptizeבָּאֵשׁwith fireוּבְרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁand with the Holy Ghostכַּאֲשֶׁרeven asהַלָּמָנִיםthe Lamanitesבֶּאֱמוּנָתָםby their faithבִּיin meבְּעֵתat the timeשׁוּבָםtheir conversionנִטְבְּלוּwere baptizedבָאֵשׁwith fireוּבְרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁand with the Holy Ghostוְהֵםand theyלֹאnotיָדְעוּ׃they knew

    And ye shall offer for a sacrifice unto me a broken heart and a contrite spirit. And whoso cometh unto me with a broken heart and a contrite spirit, him will I baptize with fire and with the Holy Ghost, even as the Lamanites, because of their faith in me at the time of their conversion, were baptized with fire and with the Holy Ghost, and they knew it not.

21. 21

    הִנֵּהbeholdבָאתִיI have comeלָעוֹלָםunto the worldלְהָבִיאto bringגְאֻלָּהredemptionלָעוֹלָםunto the worldלְהוֹשִׁיעַto saveאֶת־הָעוֹלָםthe worldמֵחֵטְא׃from sin

    Behold, I have come unto the world to bring redemption unto the world, to save the world from sin.

22. 22

    לָכֵןthereforeכׇּל־הַשָּׁבall who repentוּבָאand comethאֵלַיunto meכְּיֶלֶדas a childקָטָןsmallאוֹתוֹhimאֲקַבֵּלI will receiveכִּיforלְכָאֵלֶּהof suchמַלְכוּתthe kingdom ofאֱלֹהִיםGodהִנֵּהbeholdבַּעֲבוּרforכָּאֵלֶּהsuchהִנַּחְתִּיI have laid downאֶת־נַפְשִׁיmy lifeוְנָשָׂאתִיהָand have taken it upעוֹדagainלָכֵןthereforeשׁוּבוּrepentוּבֹאוּand comeאֵלַיunto meקַצְוֵיends ofהָאָרֶץthe earthוְהִוָּשְׁעוּ׃and be saved

    Therefore, whoso repenteth and cometh unto me as a little child, him will I receive, for of such is the kingdom of God. Behold, for such I have laid down my life, and have taken it up again; therefore repent, and come unto me ye ends of the earth, and be saved.
