   And now it came to pass that when Jesus had spoken these words he turned again to the multitude, and did open his mouth unto them again, saying: Verily, verily, I say unto you, Judge not, that ye be not judged.

   כִּיkiforבַמִּשְׁפָּטvam/mish/PATwith the judgmentאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתִּשְׁפְּטוּtish/pe/TUyou judgeתִּשָּׁפֵטוּtish/sha/fe/TUyou shall be judgedוּבַמִּדָּהu/vam/mid/DAand with the measureאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתָּמֹדּוּta/MOD/duyou meteיִמַּדyim/MADit shall be measuredלָכֶם׃la/KHEMto you

   For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

   וְלָמָּהve/LAM/maand whyתִרְאֶהtir/Eyou beholdאֶת־הַקֵּיסָםet-hak/ke/SAMthe moteאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבְּעֵיןbe/ENin the eyeאָחִיךָa/CHI/khaof your brother'sוְאֶת־הַקּוֹרָהve/ET-hak/ko/RAand the beamאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבְּעֵינְךָbe/e/ne/KHAin your own eyeלֹאlonotתָבִין׃ta/VINconsider

   And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

   אוֹoorאֵיךְekhhowתֹּאמַרto/MARwill you sayלְאָחִיךָle/a/CHI/khato your brotherהַנִּיחָהhan/NI/chaletלִיlimeוְאָסִירָהve/a/SI/raand I will pull outאֶת־הַקֵּיסָםet-hak/ke/SAMthe moteמֵעֵינֶךָme/e/NE/khaout of your eyeוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdהַקּוֹרָהhak/ko/RAthe beamבְּעֵינֶךָ׃be/e/NE/khain your own eye

   Or how wilt thou say to thy brother: Let me pull the mote out of thine eye—and behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

   חָנֵףcha/NEFhypocriteהָסֵרha/SERcast outרִאשׁוֹנָהri/sho/NAfirstאֶת־הַקּוֹרָהet-hak/ko/RAthe beamמֵעֵינֶךָme/e/NE/khafrom your eyeוְאָזve/AZand thenתִּרְאֶהtir/Eyou shall seeהֵיטֵבhe/TEVclearlyלְהָסִירle/ha/SIRto removeאֶת־הַקֵּיסָםet-hak/ke/SAMthe moteמֵעֵיןme/ENfrom the eyeאָחִיךָ׃a/CHI/khaof your brother

   Thou hypocrite, first cast the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

   אַל־תִּתְּנוּal-tit/te/NUgive notאֶת־הַקֹּדֶשׁet-hak/KO/deshthat which is holyלַכְּלָבִיםlak/ke/la/VIMto the dogsוְאַל־תַּשְׁלִיכוּve/AL-tash/li/KHUneither castפְּנִינֵיכֶםpe/ni/ne/KHEMyour pearlsלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהַחֲזִירִיםha/cha/zi/RIMswineפֶּן־יִרְמְסוּםpen-yir/me/SUMlest they trample themבְּרַגְלֵיהֶםbe/rag/le/HEMunder their feetוּפָנוּu/fa/NUand turn againוְטָרְפוּve/ta/re/FUand rendאֶתְכֶם׃et/KHEMyou

   Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

   שַׁאֲלוּsha/a/LUaskוְיִנָּתֵןve/yin/NA/tenand it shall be givenלָכֶםla/KHEMyouדִּרְשׁוּdir/SHUseekוְתִמְצָאוּve/tim/tsa/Uand you shall findדִּפְקוּdif/KUknockוְיִפָּתַחve/yip/PA/tachand it shall be openedלָכֶם׃la/KHEMto you

   Ask, and it shall be given unto you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

   כִּיkiforכׇל־הַשֹּׁאֵלkhol-hash/sho/ELevery one that asksיְקַבֵּלye/kab/BELreceivesוְהַדּוֹרֵשׁve/had/do/RESHand he that seeksיִמְצָאyim/TSAfindsוְלַדּוֹפֵקve/lad/do/FEKand to him that knocksיִפָּתַח׃yip/PA/tachit shall be opened

   For every one that asketh, receiveth; and he that seeketh, findeth; and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened.

   אוֹoorמִיmiwhatבָכֶםva/KHEMof youאִישׁisha manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיִשְׁאַלyish/ALshall askבְּנוֹbe/NOhis sonלֶחֶםLE/chembreadהֲיִתֶּן־לוֹha/yit/TEN-lowill he give himאָבֶן׃A/vena stone

   Or what man is there of you, who, if his son ask bread, will give him a stone?

    אוֹoorאִם־יִשְׁאַלim-yish/ALif he askדָּגdaga fishהֲיִתֶּן־לוֹha/yit/TEN-lowill he give himנָחָשׁ׃na/CHASHa serpent

    Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

11. 11

    וְאִם־אַתֶּםve/IM-at/TEMif you thenרָעִיםra/IMbeing evilאַתֶּםat/TEMyouיוֹדְעִיםyod/IMknowלָתֵתla/TETto giveמַתָּנוֹתmat/ta/NOTgiftsטוֹבוֹתto/VOTgoodלִבְנֵיכֶםliv/ne/KHEMunto your childrenאַף־כִּיaf-kihow much moreיִתֵּןyit/TENgiveאֲבִיכֶםA/vi/KHEMyour Fatherאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבַּשָּׁמַיִםbash/sha/MA/yimin heavenטוֹבtovgood thingsלְשֹׁאֲלָיו׃le/sho/a/LAYVto them that ask him

    If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

12. 12

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeכֹּלkolallאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתַּחְפְּצוּtach/pe/TSUyou wouldאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיַעֲשׂוּya/a/SUthey should doלָכֶםla/KHEMto youהָאֲנָשִׁיםha/a/na/SHIMmenכֵּןkenthusעֲשׂוּa/SUdoגַם־אַתֶּםgam-at/TEMyou alsoלָהֶםla/HEMunto themכִּי־זֹאתki-zotfor thisהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawוְהַנְּבִיאִים׃ve/han/ne/vi/IMand the prophets

    Therefore, all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them, for this is the law and the prophets.

    בֹּאוּBO/uenter inבַשַּׁעַרvash/SHA/arat the gateהַצָּרhats/TSARstraitכִּיkiforרָחָבra/CHAVwideהַשַּׁעַרhash/SHA/aris the gateוּרְחָבָהu/re/cha/VAand broadהַדֶּרֶךְhad/DE/rekhthe wayהַהֹלֶכֶתha/ho/LE/khetthat leadsלָאֲבַדּוֹןla/a/vad/DONto destructionוְרַבִּיםve/rab/BIMand manyהֵםhemthere beהַבָּאִיםhab/ba/IMwho go inבּוֹ׃boin thereat

    Enter ye in at the strait gate; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, which leadeth to destruction, and many there be who go in thereat;

    כִּיkibecauseצַרtsarstraitהַשַּׁעַרhash/SHA/aris the gateוְצָרָהve/tsa/RAand narrowהַדֶּרֶךְhad/DE/rekhthe wayהַהֹלֶכֶתha/ho/LE/khetthat leadsלַחַיִּיםla/chay/YIMunto lifeוּמְעַטִּיםu/me/at/TIMand fewהֵםhemthere beהַמּוֹצְאִיםham/mots/IMthat findאוֹתָהּ׃o/TAit

    Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

    הִשָּׁמְרוּhish/sha/me/RUbewareמִנְּבִיאֵיmin/ne/vi/Eof the prophetsהַשֶּׁקֶרhash/SHE/kerof falsehoodהַבָּאִיםhab/ba/IMwho comeאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMunto youבִּלְבוּשׁbil/VUSHin clothingכְּבָשִׂיםke/va/SIMof sheepוּבְתוֹכָםu/ve/to/KHAMbut inwardlyזְאֵבִיםze/e/VIMwolvesטֹרְפִים׃tor/FIMravening

    Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

16. 16

    בְּפִרְיָםbe/fir/YAMby their fruitsתַּכִּירוּםtak/ki/RUMyou shall know themהֲיִבְצְרוּha/yiv/tse/RUmen gatherמִצִּנִּיםmits/tsin/NIMof thornsעֲנָבִיםa/na/VIMgrapesאוֹoorמִדַּרְדָּרִיםmid/dar/da/RIMof thistlesתְּאֵנִים׃te/e/NIMfigs

    Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17. 17

    כֵּןkeneven soכׇּל־עֵץkol-etsevery treeטוֹבtovgoodיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEbrings forthפְּרִיpe/RIfruitטוֹבtovgoodוְעֵץve/ETSbut a treeמֻשְׁחָתmush/CHATcorruptיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEbrings forthפְּרִיpe/RIfruitרָע׃raevil

    Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18. 18

    לֹא־יוּכַלlo-yu/KHALcannotעֵץetsa treeטוֹבtovgoodלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto bring forthפְּרִיpe/RIfruitרָעraevilוְלֹא־עֵץve/LO-etsneither a treeמֻשְׁחָתmush/CHATcorruptלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto bring forthפְּרִיpe/RIfruitטוֹב׃tovgood

    A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

    כׇּל־עֵץkol-etsevery treeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nunotעֹשֶׂהo/SEbrings forthפְּרִיpe/RIfruitטוֹבtovgoodיִכָּרֵתyik/ka/RETis hewn downוּבָאֵשׁu/va/ESHand into the fireיֻשְׁלָךְ׃yush/LAKHis cast

    Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20. 20

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeבְּפִרְיָםbe/fir/YAMby their fruitsתַּכִּירוּם׃tak/ki/RUMyou shall know them

    Wherefore, by their fruits ye shall know them.

21. 21

    לֹאlonotכׇל־הָאֹמֵרkhol-ha/o/MERevery one that saithאֵלַיe/LAYunto meאֲדֹנִיa/do/NILordאֲדֹנִיa/do/NILordיָבוֹאya/VOshall enterאֶל־מַלְכוּתel-mal/KHUTto the kingdomהַשָּׁמָיִםhash/sha/MA/yimof the heavensכִּי־אִםki-imbutהָעֹשֶׂהha/o/SEhe that doesרְצוֹןre/TSONthe willאָבִיA/VIof my Fatherאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבַּשָּׁמָיִם׃bash/sha/MA/yimin the heavens

    Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven.

    רַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyיֹאמְרוּyo/me/RUwill sayאֵלַיe/LAYunto meבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatאֲדֹנִיa/do/NILordאֲדֹנִיa/do/NILordהֲלֹאha/LOhave we notבְשִׁמְךָve/shim/KHAin your nameנִבֵּאנוּnib/be/NUhave we prophesiedוּבְשִׁמְךָu/ve/shim/KHAand in your nameגֵּרַשְׁנוּge/rash/NUhave we cast outשֵׁדִיםshe/DIMdevilsוּבְשִׁמְךָu/ve/shim/KHAand in your nameעָשִׂינוּa/SI/nuhave we doneנִפְלָאוֹתnif/la/OTwonderful worksרַבּוֹת׃rab/BOTmany

    Many will say to me in that day: Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name, and in thy name have cast out devils, and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23. 23

    וְאָזve/AZand thenאוֹדִיעַo/DI/awill I professלָהֶםla/HEMunto themמֵעוֹלָםme/o/LAMneverלֹאlonotיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knewאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouסוּרוּSU/rudepartמִמֶּנִּיmim/MEN/nifrom meפֹּעֲלֵיPO/a/leyou that workהָאָוֶן׃ha/A/veniniquity

    And then will I profess unto them: I never knew you; depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeכׇּל־הַשֹּׁמֵעַkol-hash/sho/ME/awhoso hearsאֶת־דְּבָרַיet-de/va/RAYmy sayingsאֵלֶּהEL/letheseוְעֹשֶׂהve/O/seand doesאֹתָםo/TAMthemאֲדַמֶּהa/dam/MEI will likenאוֹתוֹo/TOhimלְאִישׁle/ISHunto a manחָכָםcha/KHAMwiseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבָּנָהba/NAbuiltאֶת־בֵּיתוֹet-be/TOhis houseעַל־הַסָּלַע׃al-has/SA/laupon a rock

    Therefore, whoso heareth these sayings of mine and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, who built his house upon a rock—

25. 25

    וַיֵּרֵדvay/ye/REDand descendedהַגֶּשֶׁםhag/GE/shemthe rainוַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand cameהַשְּׁטָפוֹתhash/she/ta/FOTthe floodsוַיְנַשְּׁבוּvay/nash/she/VUand blewהָרוּחוֹתha/ru/CHOTthe windsוַיִּפְגְּעוּvay/yif/ge/Uand beatבַּבַּיִתbab/BA/yitupon the houseהַהוּאha/HUthatוְלֹאve/LOand notנָפָלna/FALit fellכִּיkiforעַל־הַסֶּלַעal-has/SE/laupon a rockיֻסַּד׃yus/SADit was founded

    And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not, for it was founded upon a rock.

    וְכׇל־הַשֹּׁמֵעַve/KHOL-hash/sho/ME/aand every one that hearsאֶת־דְּבָרַיet-de/va/RAYmy sayingsאֵלֶּהEL/letheseוְאֵינֶנּוּve/e/NEN/nuand is notעֹשֶׂהo/SEdoesאֹתָםo/TAMthemיְדֻמֶּהye/dum/MEshall be likenedלְאִישׁle/ISHunto a manכְּסִילke/SILfoolishאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבָּנָהba/NAbuiltאֶת־בֵּיתוֹet-be/TOhis houseעַל־הַחוֹל׃al-ha/CHOLupon the sand

    And every one that heareth these sayings of mine and doeth them not shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand—

    וַיֵּרֵדvay/ye/REDand descendedהַגֶּשֶׁםhag/GE/shemthe rainוַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand cameהַשְּׁטָפוֹתhash/she/ta/FOTthe floodsוַיְנַשְּׁבוּvay/nash/she/VUand blewהָרוּחוֹתha/ru/CHOTthe windsוַיִּפְגְּעוּvay/yif/ge/Uand beatבַּבַּיִתbab/BA/yitupon the houseהַהוּאha/HUthatוַיִּפֹּלvay/yip/POLand it fellוַיְהִיvay/HIand wasמַפַּלְתּוֹmap/pal/TOthe fall of itגְדוֹלָה׃ge/do/LAgreat

    And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell, and great was the fall of it.
