   וּלְנׇעֳמִיu/Le/no/o/MIand Naomi had[מוֹדָע]mo/DAa kinsmanלְאִישָׁהּle/i/SHAof her husbandאִישׁisha manגִּבּוֹרgib/BORmightyחַיִלCHA/yilof wealthמִמִּשְׁפַּחַתmim/mish/PA/chatof the family ofאֱלִימֶלֶךְE/li/ME/lekhElimelechוּשְׁמוֹu/she/MOand his nameבֹּעַז׃BO/azBoaz

   And Naomi had a kinsman of her husband's, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech; and his name was Boaz.

   וַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidרוּתRutRuthהַמּוֹאֲבִיָּהham/Mo/a/viy/YAthe Moabitessאֶל־נׇעֳמִיel-No/o/MIto Naomiאֵלְכָה־נָּאel/KHA-nalet me go nowהַשָּׂדֶהhas/sa/DEto the fieldוַאֲלַקֳּטָהva/a/lak/ko/TAand gleanבַשִּׁבֳּלִיםvash/shib/bo/LIMamong the ears of grainאַחַרa/CHARafterאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomאֶמְצָא־חֵןem/TSA-chenI shall find favorבְּעֵינָיוbe/e/NAYVin his eyesוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidלָהּlato herלְכִיle/KHIgoבִתִּי׃vit/TImy daughter

   And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and glean ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her, Go, my daughter.

   וַתֵּלֶךְvat/TE/lekhand she wentוַתָּבוֹאvat/ta/VOand she cameוַתְּלַקֵּטvat/te/lak/KETand she gleanedבַּשָּׂדֶהbas/sa/DEin the fieldאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterהַקֹּצְרִיםhak/kots/RIMthe harvestersוַיִּקֶרvay/YI/kerand happenedמִקְרֶהָmik/RE/haher hapחֶלְקַתchel/KATthe portion ofהַשָּׂדֶהhas/sa/DEthe fieldלְבֹעַזle/VO/azbelonging to Boazאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho wasמִמִּשְׁפַּחַתmim/mish/PA/chatof the family ofאֱלִימֶלֶךְ׃E/li/ME/lekhElimelech

   And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her hap was to light on a part of the field belonging unto Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimelech.

   וְהִנֵּה־בֹעַזve/Hin/NE-VO/azand behold Boazבָּאbacameמִבֵּיתmib/BETfrom Beth-לֶחֶםLE/chemlehemוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלַקּוֹצְרִיםlak/kots/RIMto the harvestersיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעִמָּכֶםim/ma/KHEMwith youוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidלוֹloto himיְבָרֶכְךָye/va/rekh/KHAmay bless youיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   And, behold, Boaz came from Beth-lehem, and said unto the reapers, The LORD be with you. And they answered him, The LORD bless thee.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidבֹּעַזBO/azBoazלְנַעֲרוֹle/na/a/ROto his young manהַנִּצָּבhan/nits/TSAVthat was setעַל־הַקּוֹצְרִיםal-hak/kots/RIMover the harvestersלְמִיle/MIwhoseהַנַּעֲרָהhan/na/a/RAthe young womanהַזֹּאת׃haz/ZOTthis

   Then said Boaz unto his servant that was set over the reapers, Whose damsel is this?

   וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand answeredהַנַּעַרhan/NA/arthe young manהַנִּצָּבhan/nits/TSAVthat was setעַל־הַקּוֹצְרִיםal-hak/kots/RIMover the harvestersוַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidנַעֲרָהna/a/RAa young womanמוֹאֲבִיָּהMo/a/viy/YAMoabiteהִיאhiis sheהַשָּׁבָהhash/SHA/vawho returnedעִם־נׇעֳמִיim-No/o/MIwith Naomiמִשְּׂדֵיmis/se/DEfrom the country ofמוֹאָב׃Mo/AVMoab

   And the servant that was set over the reapers answered and said, It is the Moabitish damsel that came back with Naomi out of the country of Moab:

   וַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidאֲלַקֳּטָה־נָּאa/lak/ko/TA-nalet me glean I prayוְאָסַפְתִּיve/a/saf/TIand gatherבׇעֳמָרִיםvo/o/ma/RIMamong the sheavesאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterהַקּוֹצְרִיםhak/kots/RIMthe harvestersוַתָּבוֹאvat/ta/VOso she cameוַתַּעֲמוֹדvat/ta/a/MODand has stoodמֵאָזme/AZfromהַבֹּקֶרhab/BO/kerthe morningוְעַד־עַתָּהve/AD-AT/taand until nowזֶהzethisשִׁבְתָּהּshiv/TAher sittingהַבַּיִתhab/BA/yitthe houseמְעָט׃me/ATa little

   And she said, I pray you, let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves: so she came, and hath continued even from the morning until now, that she tarried a little in the house.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidבֹּעַזBO/azBoazאֶל־רוּתel-Rutto Ruthהֲלוֹאha/LOdo you notשָׁמַעַתְּsha/MA/atthearבִּתִּיbit/TImy daughterאַל־תֵּלְכִיal-tel/KHIdo not goלִלְקֹטlil/KOTto gleanבְּשָׂדֶהbe/sa/DEin a fieldאַחֵרa/CHERanotherוְגַםve/GAMand alsoלֹאlonotתַעֲבוּרִיta/a/vu/RIpassמִזֶּהmiz/ZEfrom hereוְכֹהve/KHObut hereתִדְבָּקִיןtid/ba/KINkeep closeעִם־נַעֲרֹתָי׃im-na/a/ro/TAYwith my maidens

   Then said Boaz unto Ruth, Hearest thou not, my daughter? Go not to glean in another field, neither go from hence, but abide here fast by my maidens:

   Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reap, and go thou after them: have I not charged the young men that they shall not touch thee? and when thou art athirst, go unto the vessels, and drink of that which the young men have drawn.

    וַתִּפֹּלvat/tip/POLand she fellעַל־פָּנֶיהָal-pa/NE/haupon her faceוַתִּשְׁתַּחוּvat/tish/TA/chuand she bowed downאָרְצָהAR/tsato the groundוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himמַדּוּעַmad/DU/awhyמָצָאתִיma/TSA/tihave I foundחֵןchenfavorבְּעֵינֶיךָbe/e/NE/khain your eyesלְהַכִּירֵנִיle/hak/ki/RE/nithat you should take notice of meוְאָנֹכִיve/a/no/KHIyet Iנׇכְרִיָּה׃nokh/riy/YAa foreigner

    Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger?

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand answeredבֹּעַזBO/azBoazוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלָהּlato herהֻגֵּדhug/GEDtoldהֻגַּדhug/GADhas been toldלִיlito meכֹּלkolallאֲשֶׁר־עָשִׂיתa/SHER-a/SITthat you have doneאֶת־חֲמוֹתֵךְet-cha/mo/TEKHfor your mother in lawאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterמוֹתmotthe death ofאִישֵׁךְi/SHEKHyour husbandוַתַּעַזְבִיvat/ta/az/VIand you leftאָבִיךְa/VIKHyour fatherוְאִמֵּךְve/im/MEKHand your motherוְאֶרֶץve/E/retsand the land ofמוֹלַדְתֵּךְmo/lad/TEKHyour birthוַתֵּלְכִיvat/tel/KHIand have comeאֶל־עַםel-amto a peopleאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹא־יָדַעַתְּlo-ya/DA/attyou did not knowתְּמוֹלte/MOLyesterdayשִׁלְשׁוֹם׃shil/SHOMthe day before

    And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore.

12. 12

    יְשַׁלֵּםye/shal/LEMrecompenseיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDפׇּעֳלֵךְpo/o/LEKHyour workוּתְהִיu/te/HIand may beמַשְׂכֻּרְתֵּךְmas/kur/TEKHyour rewardשְׁלֵמָהshe/le/MAfullמֵעִםme/IMfromיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאֲשֶׁר־בָּאתa/SHER-batthat you have comeלַחֲסוֹתla/cha/SOTto take refugeתַּחַת־כְּנָפָיו׃TA/chat-ke/na/FAYVunder His wings

    The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.

13. 13

    וַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidאֶמְצָא־חֵןem/TSA-chenlet me find favorבְּעֵינֶיךָbe/e/NE/khain your eyesאֲדֹנִיa/do/NImy lordכִּיkiforנִחַמְתָּנִיni/cham/TA/niyou have comforted meוְכִיve/KHIand forדִבַּרְתָּdib/BAR/tayou have spokenעַל־לֵבal-levto the heart ofשִׁפְחָתֶךָshif/cha/TE/khayour handmaidוְאָנֹכִיve/a/no/KHIyet Iלֹאlonotאֶהְיֶהeh/YEI amכְּאַחַתke/a/CHATlike one ofשִׁפְחֹתֶיךָ׃shif/cho/TE/khayour handmaids

    Then she said, Let me find favour in thy sight, my lord; for that thou hast comforted me, and for that thou hast spoken friendly unto thine handmaid, though I be not like unto one of thine handmaidens.

14. 14

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלָהֿlato herבֹעַזVO/azBoazלְעֵתle/ETat the time ofהָאֹכֶלha/O/kheleatingגֹּשִׁיGO/shicome nearהֲלֹםha/LOMhitherוְאָכַלְתְּve/a/KHALTand eatמִן־הַלֶּחֶםmin-hal/LE/chemfrom the breadוְטָבַלְתְּve/ta/VALTand dipפִּתֵּךְpit/TEKHyour morselבַּחֹמֶץba/CHO/metsin the vinegarוַתֵּשֶׁבvat/TE/shevand she satמִצַּדmits/TSADbesideהַקֹּצְרִיםhak/kots/RIMthe harvestersוַיִּצְבׇּט־לָהּvay/yits/BOT-laand he reached herקָלִיka/LIparched grainוַתֹּאכַלvat/TO/khaland she ateוַתִּשְׂבַּעvat/tis/BAand she was satisfiedוַתֹּתַר׃vat/to/TARand left

    And Boaz said unto her, At mealtime come thou hither, and eat of the bread, and dip thy morsel in the vinegar. And she sat beside the reapers: and he reached her parched corn, and she did eat, and was sufficed, and left.

15. 15

    וַתָּקׇםvat/TA/komand she aroseלְלַקֵּטle/lak/KETto gleanוַיְצַוvay/TSAVand commandedבֹּעַזBO/azBoazאֶת־נְעָרָיוet-ne/a/RAYVhis young menלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingגַּםgamevenבֵּיןbenamongהׇעֳמָרִיםho/o/ma/RIMthe sheavesתְּלַקֵּטte/lak/KETlet her gleanוְלֹאve/LOand notתַכְלִימוּהָ׃takh/li/MU/hashame her

    And when she was risen up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, Let her glean even among the sheaves, and reproach her not:

16. 16

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoשֹׁל־תָּשֹׁלּוּshol-ta/SHOL/lupull out you shall pull outלָהּlafor herמִן־הַצְּבָתִיםmin-hats/tse/va/TIMfrom the handfulsוַעֲזַבְתֶּםva/a/zav/TEMand leave themוְלִקְּטָהve/lik/ke/TAthat she may gleanוְלֹאve/LOand notתִגְעֲרוּ־בָהּ׃tig/a/RU-varebuke her

    And let fall also some of the handfuls of purpose for her, and leave them, that she may glean them, and rebuke her not.

17. 17

    וַתְּלַקֵּטvat/te/lak/KETand she gleanedבַּשָּׂדֶהbas/sa/DEin the fieldעַד־הָעָרֶבad-ha/A/revuntil the eveningוַתַּחְבֹּטvat/tach/BOTand she beat outאֵת־אֲשֶׁר־לִקֵּטָהet-a/SHER-lik/KE/tathat she gleanedוַיְהִיvay/HIand it wasכְּאֵיפָהke/e/FAabout an ephahשְׂעֹרִים׃se/o/RIMof barley

    So she gleaned in the field until even, and beat out that she had gleaned: and it was about an ephah of barley.

18. 18

    וַתִּשָּׂאvat/tis/SAand she took it upוַתָּבוֹאvat/ta/VOand wentהָעִירha/IRinto the cityוַתֵּרֶאvat/TE/reand sawחֲמוֹתָהּcha/mo/TAher mother in lawאֵת־אֲשֶׁר־לִקֵּטָהet-a/SHER-lik/KE/tathat she gleanedוַתּוֹצֵאvat/to/TSEand she brought outוַתִּתֶּן־לָהּvat/TIT/ten-laand gave herאֵת־אֲשֶׁר־הוֹתִרָהet-a/SHER-ho/TI/rathat she had left overמִשׇּׂבְעָהּ׃mis/sov/Aafter she was satisfied

    And she took it up, and went into the city: and her mother in law saw what she had gleaned: and she brought forth, and gave to her that she had reserved after she was sufficed.

    וַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidלָהּlato herחֲמוֹתָהּcha/mo/TAher mother in lawאֵיפֹהe/FOwhereלִקַּטְתְּlik/KATThave you gleanedהַיּוֹםhay/YOMtodayוְאָנָהve/A/naand whereעָשִׂיתa/SITdid you workיְהִיye/HIlet beמַכִּירֵךְmak/ki/REKHhe that took notice of youבָּרוּךְba/RUKHblessedוַתַּגֵּדvat/tag/GEDand she toldלַחֲמוֹתָהּla/cha/mo/TAher mother in lawאֵת־אֲשֶׁר־עָשְׂתָהet-a/SHER-a/se/TAthat she had wroughtעִמּוֹim/MOwith himוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidשֵׁםshemthe name ofהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomעָשִׂיתִיa/SI/tiI workedעִמּוֹim/MOwith himהַיּוֹםhay/YOMtodayבֹּעַז׃BO/azBoaz

    And her mother in law said unto her, Where hast thou gleaned to day? and where wroughtest thou? blessed be he that did take knowledge of thee. And she shewed her mother in law with whom she had wrought, and said, The man's name with whom I wrought to day is Boaz.

    וַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidנׇעֳמִיNo/o/MINaomiלְכַלָּתָהּle/khal/la/TAto her daughter in lawבָּרוּךְba/RUKHblessed beהוּאhuis heלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaiof the LORDאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoלֹא־עָזַבlo-a/ZAVhas not left offחַסְדּוֹchas/DOhis kindnessאֶת־הַחַיִּיםet-ha/chay/YIMto the livingוְאֶת־הַמֵּתִיםve/ET-ham/me/TIMand to the deadוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidלָהּlato herנׇעֳמִיNo/o/MINaomiקָרוֹבka/ROVis near of kinלָנוּLA/nuto usהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manמִגֹּאֲלֵנוּmig/go/a/LE/nuof our kinsman redeemersהוּא׃huis he

    And Naomi said unto her daughter in law, Blessed be he of the LORD, who hath not left off his kindness to the living and to the dead. And Naomi said unto her, The man is near of kin unto us, one of our next kinsmen.

    וַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidרוּתRutRuthהַמּוֹאֲבִיָּהham/Mo/a/viy/YAthe Moabitessגַּםgamalsoכִּי־אָמַרki-a/MARhe saidאֵלַיe/LAYto meעִם־הַנְּעָרִיםim-han/ne/a/RIMwith the young menאֲשֶׁר־לִיa/SHER-lithat are mineתִּדְבָּקִיןtid/ba/KINyou shall keep closeעַדaduntilאִם־כִּלּוּim-kil/LUthey have endedאֵת־כׇּל־הַקָּצִירet-kol-hak/ka/TSIRall the harvestאֲשֶׁר־לִי׃a/SHER-lithat are mine

    And Ruth the Moabitess said, He said unto me also, Thou shalt keep fast by my young men, until they have ended all my harvest.

22. 22

    וַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidנׇעֳמִיNo/o/MINaomiאֶל־רוּתel-Rutto Ruthכַּלָּתָהּkal/la/TAher daughter in lawטוֹבtovit is goodבִּתִּיbit/TImy daughterכִּיkithatתֵצְאִיtets/Iyou will go outעִם־נַעֲרוֹתָיוim-na/a/ro/TAYVwith his maidensוְלֹאve/LOand notיִפְגְּעוּ־בָךְyif/ge/U-vakhthey meet youבְּשָׂדֶהbe/sa/DEin a fieldאַחֵר׃a/CHERanother

    And Naomi said unto Ruth her daughter in law, It is good, my daughter, that thou go out with his maidens, that they meet thee not in any other field.

23. 23

    וַתִּדְבַּקvat/tid/BAKand she kept fastבְּנַעֲרוֹתbe/na/a/ROTby the maidens ofבֹּעַזBO/azBoazלְלַקֵּטle/lak/KETto gleanעַד־כְּלוֹתad-ke/LOTunto the end ofקְצִיר־הַשְּׂעֹרִיםke/TSIR-has/se/o/RIMthe harvest of the barleyוּקְצִירu/ke/TSIRand the harvest ofהַחִטִּיםha/chit/TIMthe wheatוַתֵּשֶׁבvat/TE/shevand she dweltאֶת־חֲמוֹתָהּ׃et-cha/mo/TAwith her mother in law

    So she kept fast by the maidens of Boaz to glean unto the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and dwelt with her mother in law.
