   יְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEGod ofיְשׁוּעָתִיye/shu/a/TImy salvationיוֹם־צָעַקְתִּיyom-tsa/AK/tiby day I cry outבַלַּיְלָהval/LAY/lain the nightנֶגְדֶּךָ׃neg/DE/khabefore You

   O LORD God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee:

   תָּבוֹאta/VOlet comeלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore Youתְּפִלָּתִיte/fil/la/TImy prayerהַטֵּהhat/TEinclineאׇזְנְךָoz/ne/KHAYour earלְרִנָּתִי׃le/rin/na/TIto my cry

   Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry;

   כִּי־שָׂבְעָהki-sa/ve/Afor is fullבְרָעוֹתve/ra/OTwith troublesנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulוְחַיַּיve/chay/YAYand my lifeלִשְׁאוֹלLish/OLto Sheolהִגִּיעוּ׃hig/GI/udraws near

   For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave.

   נֶחְשַׁבְתִּיnech/shav/TII am countedעִם־יוֹרְדֵיim-YOR/dewith those who go down toבוֹרvorthe pitהָיִיתִיha/YI/tiI have becomeכְּגֶבֶרke/GE/verlike a manאֵין־אֱיָל׃en-e/YALwho has no strength

   I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man that hath no strength:

   בַּמֵּתִיםbam/me/TIMamong the deadחׇפְשִׁיchof/SHIcast offכְּמוֹke/MOlikeחֲלָלִיםcha/la/LIMthe slainשֹׁכְבֵיSHOKH/vewho lie inקֶבֶרKE/verthe graveאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomלֹאlonotזְכַרְתָּםze/khar/TAMYou remember themעוֹדodagainוְהֵמָּהve/HEM/maand theyמִיָּדְךָmiy/ya/de/KHAfrom Your handנִגְזָרוּ׃nig/ZA/ruare cut off

   Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more: and they are cut off from thy hand.

   שַׁתַּנִיshat/TA/niYou have laid meבְּבוֹרbe/VORin the pitתַּחְתִּיּוֹתtach/tiy/YOTof the depthsבְּמַחֲשַׁכִּיםbe/ma/cha/shak/KIMin the dark placesבִּמְצֹלוֹת׃bim/tso/LOTin the depths

   Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps.

   עָלַיa/LAYupon meסָמְכָהsa/me/KHAlies heavyחֲמָתֶךָcha/ma/TE/khaYour wrathוְכׇל־מִשְׁבָּרֶיךָve/KHOL-mish/ba/RE/khaand with all Your breakersעִנִּיתָin/NI/taYou have afflicted meסֶּלָה׃SE/laSelah

   Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves. Selah.

   הִרְחַקְתָּhir/CHAK/taYou have removedמְיֻדָּעַיme/yud/da/AYmy acquaintancesמִמֶּנִּיmim/MEN/nifrom meשַׁתַּנִיshat/TA/niYou have made meתוֹעֵבוֹתto/e/VOTan abominationלָמוֹLA/moto themכָּלֻאka/LUI am shut upוְלֹאve/LOand notאֵצֵא׃e/TSEcan I come forth

   Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me; thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.

    עֵינִיe/NImy eyeדָאֲבָהda/a/VAlanguishesמִנִּי־עֹנִיmin/NI-O/niby reason of afflictionקְרָאתִיךָke/ra/TI/khaI have called upon YouיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDבְּכׇל־יוֹםbe/KHOL-yomevery dayשִׁטַּחְתִּיshit/TACH/tiI have stretched outאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato Youכַפָּי׃khap/PAYmy hands

    Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee.

    הֲלַמֵּתִיםha/lam/me/TIMfor the deadתַּעֲשֶׂה־פֶּלֶאta/a/SE-PE/lewill You do wondersאִם־רְפָאִיםim-re/fa/IMwill the shadesיָקוּמוּya/KU/muariseיוֹדוּךָyo/DU/khapraise Youסֶּלָה׃SE/laSelah

    Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise and praise thee? Selah.

    הַיְסֻפַּרhay/sup/PARshall be declaredבַּקֶּבֶרbak/KE/verin the graveחַסְדֶּךָchas/DE/khaYour kindnessאֱמוּנָתְךָe/mu/na/te/KHAYour faithfulnessבָּאֲבַדּוֹן׃ba/a/vad/DONin destruction

    Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave? or thy faithfulness in destruction?

13. 13

    הֲיִוָּדַעha/yiv/va/DAshall be knownבַּחֹשֶׁךְba/CHO/shekhin the darknessפִּלְאֶךָpil/E/khaYour wondersוְצִדְקָתְךָve/tsid/ka/te/KHAand Your righteousnessבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofנְשִׁיָּה׃ne/shiy/YAforgetfulness

    Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

    וַאֲנִיva/a/NIbut Iאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato YouיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDשִׁוַּעְתִּיshiv/VA/tihave I criedוּבַבֹּקֶרu/vab/BO/kerand in the morningתְּפִלָּתִיte/fil/la/TImy prayerתְקַדְּמֶךָּ׃te/kad/de/MEK/kawill meet You

    But unto thee have I cried, O LORD; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent thee.

    לָמָהla/MAwhyיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDתִּזְנַחtiz/NACHdo You rejectנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulתַּסְתִּירtas/TIRdo You hideפָּנֶיךָpa/NE/khaYour faceמִמֶּנִּי׃mim/MEN/nifrom me

    LORD, why castest thou off my soul? why hidest thou thy face from me?

16. 16

    עָנִיa/NIafflictedאֲנִיa/NII amוְגֹוֵעַve/go/VE/aand dyingמִנֹּעַרmin/NO/arfrom my youth upנָשָׂאתִיna/SA/tiI have borneאֵמֶיךָe/ME/khaYour terrorsאָפוּנָה׃a/FU/naI am helpless

    I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: while I suffer thy terrors I am distracted.

    עָלַיa/LAYupon meעָבְרוּa/ve/RUhave gone overחֲרוֹנֶיךָcha/ro/NE/khaYour fierce wrathבִּעוּתֶיךָbi/u/TE/khaYour terrorsצִמְּתוּתֻנִי׃tsim/me/tu/TU/nihave destroyed me

    Thy fierce wrath goeth over me; thy terrors have cut me off.

    סַבּוּנִיsab/BU/nithey surrounded meכַמַּיִםkham/MA/yimlike waterכׇּל־הַיּוֹםkol-hay/YOMall the dayהִקִּיפוּhik/KI/futhey encircledעָלַיa/LAYmeיָחַד׃YA/chadtogether

    They came round about me daily like water; they compassed me about together.

    הִרְחַקְתָּhir/CHAK/taYou have removedמִמֶּנִּיmim/MEN/nifrom meאֹהֵבo/HEVfriendוָרֵעַva/RE/aand companionמְיֻדָּעַיme/yud/da/AYmy acquaintances areמַחְשָׁךְ׃mach/SHAKHdarkness

    Lover and friend hast thou put far from me, and mine acquaintance into darkness.
