   A Psalm of David. Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.

   וְאַל־תָּבוֹאve/AL-ta/VOand enter notבְמִשְׁפָּטve/mish/PATinto judgmentאֶת־עַבְדֶּךָet-av/DE/khawith Your servantכִּיkiforלֹא־יִצְדַּקlo-yits/DAKwill be righteousלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore Youכׇל־חָי׃khol-chayany living

   And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.

   כִּיkiforרָדַףra/DAFhas persecutedאוֹיֵבo/YEVthe enemyנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulדִּכָּאdik/KAhe has crushedלָאָרֶץla/A/retsto the groundחַיָּתִיchay/ya/TImy lifeהוֹשִׁבַנִיho/shi/VA/nihe has made me dwellבְמַחֲשַׁכִּיםve/ma/cha/shak/KIMin dark placesכְּמֵתֵיke/me/TEas the dead ofעוֹלָם׃o/LAMold

   For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.

   וַתִּתְעַטֵּףvat/tit/at/TEFand grows faintעָלַיa/LAYwithin meרוּחִיru/CHImy spiritבְּתוֹכִיbe/to/KHIwithin meיִשְׁתּוֹמֵםyish/to/MEMis appalledלִבִּי׃lib/BImy heart

   Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.

   זָכַרְתִּיza/KHAR/tiI rememberedיָמִיםya/MIMthe daysמִקֶּדֶםmik/KE/demof oldהָגִיתִיha/GI/tiI meditateבְכׇל־פׇּעֳלֶךָve/KHOL-po/o/LE/khaon all Your worksבְּמַעֲשֵׂהbe/ma/a/SEon the work ofיָדֶיךָya/DE/khaYour handsאֲשׂוֹחֵחַ׃a/so/CHE/achI meditate

   I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.

   פֵּרַשְׂתִּיpe/RAS/tiI stretch forthיָדַיya/DAYmy handsאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato Youנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulכְּאֶרֶץ־עֲיֵפָהke/E/rets-a/ye/FAlike a weary landלְךָle/KHAfor Youסֶלָה׃SE/laSelah

   I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.

   מַהֵרma/HERspeedilyעֲנֵנִיa/NE/nianswer meיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDכָּלְתָהka/le/TAfailsרוּחִיru/CHImy spiritאַל־תַּסְתֵּרal-tas/TERhide notפָּנֶיךָpa/NE/khaYour faceמִמֶּנִּיmim/MEN/nifrom meוְנִמְשַׁלְתִּיve/nim/SHAL/tilest I become likeעִם־יֹרְדֵיim-YOR/dethose who go down intoבוֹר׃vorthe pit

   Hear me speedily, O LORD: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.

   הַשְׁמִיעֵנִיhash/mi/E/nicause me to hearבַבֹּקֶרvab/BO/kerin the morningחַסְדֶּךָchas/DE/khaYour kindnessכִּי־בְךָki-ve/KHAfor in Youבָטָחְתִּיva/TACH/tido I trustהוֹדִיעֵנִיho/di/E/nimake me knowדֶּרֶךְ־זוּDE/rekh-zuthe way in whichאֵלֵךְe/LEKHI should walkכִּי־אֵלֶיךָki-e/LE/khafor to Youנָשָׂאתִיna/SA/tiI lift upנַפְשִׁי׃naf/SHImy soul

   Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.

   הַצִּילֵנִיhats/tsi/LE/nideliver meמֵאֹיְבַיme/oy/VAYfrom my enemiesיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato Youכִסִּתִי׃khis/SI/tiI take refuge

   Deliver me, O LORD, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.

    לַמְּדֵנִיlam/me/DE/niteach meלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doרְצוֹנֶךָre/tso/ne/KHAYour willכִּי־אַתָּהki-at/TAfor You areאֱלוֹהָיe/lo/HAYmy GodרוּחֲךָRu/cha/KHAYour Spiritטוֹבָהto/VAis goodתַּנְחֵנִיtan/CHE/nilet it lead meבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the land ofמִישׁוֹר׃mi/SHORlevel ground

    Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

    לְמַעַן־שִׁמְךָle/MA/an-shim/KHAfor Your name's sakeיְהֹוָהAdonaiO LORDתְּחַיֵּנִיte/chay/YE/nirevive meבְּצִדְקָתְךָbe/tsid/ka/te/KHAin Your righteousnessתּוֹצִיאto/TSIYou will bring outמִצָּרָהmits/tsa/RAout of troubleנַפְשִׁי׃naf/SHImy soul

    Quicken me, O LORD, for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.

    וּבְחַסְדְּךָu/ve/chas/de/KHAand in Your kindnessתַּצְמִיתtats/MITYou will cut offאֹיְבָיoy/VAYmy enemiesוְהַאֲבַדְתָּve/ha/a/vad/TAand destroyכׇּל־צֹרְרֵיkol-tsor/REall who afflictנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulכִּיkiforאֲנִיa/NII amעַבְדֶּךָ׃av/DE/khaYour servant

    And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.
