   מִזְמוֹרa psalmלְדָוִדof DavidיְהֹוָהO LORDשְׁמַעhearתְּפִלָּתִיmy prayerהַאֲזִינָהgive earאֶל־תַּחֲנוּנַיto my supplicationsבֶּאֱמֻנָתְךָin Your truthעֲנֵנִיanswer meבְּצִדְקָתֶךָ׃in Your righteousness

   A Psalm of David. Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.

2. 2

   וְאַל־תָּבוֹאand enter notבְמִשְׁפָּטinto judgmentאֶת־עַבְדֶּךָwith Your servantכִּיforלֹא־יִצְדַּקshall not be justifiedלְפָנֶיךָbefore Youכׇל־חָי׃any living

   And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.

   כִּיforרָדַףhas persecutedאוֹיֵבthe enemyנַפְשִׁיmy soulדִּכָּאhe has smitten downלָאָרֶץto the groundחַיָּתִיmy lifeהוֹשִׁבַנִיhe has made me to dwellבְמַחֲשַׁכִּיםin dark placesכְּמֵתֵיas the dead ofעוֹלָם׃old

   For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.

   וַתִּתְעַטֵּףtherefore is overwhelmedעָלַיupon meרוּחִיmy spiritבְּתוֹכִיwithin meיִשְׁתּוֹמֵםis desolateלִבִּי׃my heart

   Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.

   זָכַרְתִּיI rememberedיָמִיםthe daysמִקֶּדֶםof oldהָגִיתִיI meditateבְכׇל־פׇּעֳלֶךָon all Your worksבְּמַעֲשֵׂהon the work ofיָדֶיךָYour handsאֲשׂוֹחֵחַ׃I muse

   I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.

   פֵּרַשְׂתִּיI stretch forthיָדַיmy handsאֵלֶיךָto Youנַפְשִׁיmy soulכְּאֶרֶץ־עֲיֵפָהlike a thirsty landלְךָfor Youסֶלָה׃Selah

   I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.

   מַהֵרspeedilyעֲנֵנִיanswer meיְהֹוָהO LORDכָּלְתָהfailsרוּחִיmy spiritאַל־תַּסְתֵּרhide notפָּנֶיךָYour faceמִמֶּנִּיfrom meוְנִמְשַׁלְתִּיlest I become likeעִם־יֹרְדֵיthose who go down intoבוֹר׃the pit

   Hear me speedily, O LORD: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.

8. 8

   הַשְׁמִיעֵנִיcause me to hearבַבֹּקֶרin the morningחַסְדֶּךָYour lovingkindnessכִּי־בְךָfor in Youבָטָחְתִּיdo I trustהוֹדִיעֵנִיcause me to knowדֶּרֶךְ־זוּthe way in whichאֵלֵךְI should walkכִּי־אֵלֶיךָfor to YouנָשָׂאתִיI lift upנַפְשִׁי׃my soul

   Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.

   הַצִּילֵנִיdeliver meמֵאֹיְבַיfrom my enemiesיְהֹוָהO LORDאֵלֶיךָto Youכִסִּתִי׃I flee to hide me

   Deliver me, O LORD, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.

10. 10

    לַמְּדֵנִיteach meלַעֲשׂוֹתto doרְצוֹנֶךָYour willכִּי־אַתָּהfor You areאֱלוֹהָיmy GodרוּחֲךָYour Spirit isטוֹבָהgoodתַּנְחֵנִיlet it lead meבְּאֶרֶץin the land ofמִישׁוֹר׃uprightness

    Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

11. 11

    לְמַעַן־שִׁמְךָfor Your name sakeיְהֹוָהO LORDתְּחַיֵּנִיrevive meבְּצִדְקָתְךָin Your righteousnessתּוֹצִיאbring outמִצָּרָהout of troubleנַפְשִׁי׃my soul

    Quicken me, O LORD, for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.

12. 12

    וּבְחַסְדְּךָand in Your lovingkindnessתַּצְמִיתcut offאֹיְבָיmy enemiesוְהַאֲבַדְתָּand destroyכׇּל־צֹרְרֵיall who afflictנַפְשִׁיmy soulכִּיforאֲנִיIעַבְדֶּךָ׃Your servant

    And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.
