מִזְמוֹרa psalmלְדָוִדof DavidיְהֹוָהO LORDקְרָאתִיךָI have cried to Youחוּשָׁהmake hasteלִּיto meהַאֲזִינָהgive earקוֹלִיto my voiceבְּקׇרְאִי־לָךְ׃when I cry to You
A Psalm of David. LORD, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee.

תִּכּוֹןlet be set forthתְּפִלָּתִיmy prayerקְטֹרֶתas incenseלְפָנֶיךָbefore Youמַשְׂאַתthe lifting up ofכַּפַּיmy handsמִנְחַת־עָרֶב׃the evening sacrifice
Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

שִׁיתָהsetיְהֹוָהO LORDשׇׁמְרָהa watchלְפִיover my mouthנִצְּרָהkeep watchעַל־דַּלover the door ofשְׂפָתָי׃my lips
Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

אַל־תַּט־לִבִּיincline not my heartלְדָבָרto any thingרָעevilלְהִתְעוֹלֵלto practiseעֲלִלוֹתdeedsבְּרֶשַׁעin wickednessאֶת־אִישִׁיםwith menפֹּעֲלֵי־אָוֶןwho work iniquityוּבַל־אֶלְחַםand let me not eatבְּמַנְעַמֵּיהֶם׃of their dainties
Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.

יֶהֶלְמֵנִי־צַדִּיקlet the righteous smite meחֶסֶדit shall be a kindnessוְיוֹכִיחֵנִיand let him rebuke meשֶׁמֶןit shall be as oilרֹאשׁupon the headאַל־יָנִיlet not refuseרֹאשִׁיmy headכִּי־עוֹדfor stillוּתְפִלָּתִיis my prayerבְּרָעוֹתֵיהֶם׃against their wickedness
Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities.

נִשְׁמְטוּare thrown downבִידֵי־סֶלַעby the sides of the rockשֹׁפְטֵיהֶםtheir judgesוְשָׁמְעוּand they shall hearאֲמָרַיmy wordsכִּיforנָעֵמוּ׃they are sweet
When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.

כְּמוֹas whenפֹלֵחַone plowsוּבֹקֵעַand cleavesבָּאָרֶץon the earthנִפְזְרוּare scatteredעֲצָמֵינוּour bonesלְפִיat the mouth ofשְׁאוֹל׃Sheol
Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth.

כִּיforאֵלֶיךָto YouיֱהֹוִהO GODאֲדֹנָיthe Lordעֵינָיare my eyesבְּכָהin YouחָסִיתִיI put my trustאַל־תְּעַרleave not destituteנַפְשִׁי׃my soul
But mine eyes are unto thee, O GOD the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.

שׇׁמְרֵנִיkeep meמִידֵיfrom the hands ofפַחthe snareיָקְשׁוּwhich they have laidלִיto meוּמֹקְשׁוֹתand the traps ofפֹּעֲלֵיof the workers ofאָוֶן׃iniquity
Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.

יִפְּלוּlet fallבְמַכְמֹרָיוinto their own netsרְשָׁעִיםthe wickedיַחַדtogetherאָנֹכִיwhile Iעַד־אֶעֱבוֹר׃escape
Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal escape.
