Proverbs 3 מִשְׁלֵי פרק ג׳

   בְּנִיbe/NImy sonתּוֹרָתִיto/ra/TImy teachingאַל־תִּשְׁכָּחal-tish/KACHdo not forgetוּמִצְוֺתַיu/mits/vo/TAYand my commandmentsיִצֹּרyits/TSORlet keepלִבֶּךָ׃lib/BE/khayour heart

   My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:

2. 2

   כִּיkiforאֹרֶךְO/rekhthe length ofיָמִיםya/MIMdaysוּשְׁנוֹתu/she/NOTand years ofחַיִּיםchay/YIMlifeוְשָׁלוֹםve/sha/LOMand peaceיוֹסִיפוּyo/SI/futhey will addלָךְ׃lakhto you

   For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

3. 3

   חֶסֶדCHE/sedkindnessוֶאֱמֶתve/e/METand truthאַל־יַעַזְבֻךָal-ya/az/VU/khalet them not forsake youקׇשְׁרֵםkosh/REMbind themעַל־גַּרְגְּרוֹתֶיךָal-gar/ge/ro/TE/khaupon your neckכׇּתְבֵםkot/VEMwrite themעַל־לוּחַal-LU/achon the tablet ofלִבֶּךָ׃lib/BE/khayour heart

   Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:

   וּמְצָא־חֵןu/me/TSA-chenand find favorוְשֵׂכֶל־טוֹבve/SE/khel-tovand good understandingבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodוְאָדָם׃ve/a/DAMand man

   So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

   בְּטַחbe/TACHtrustאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaiin the LORDבְּכׇל־לִבֶּךָbe/KHOL-lib/BE/khawith all your heartוְאֶל־בִּינָתְךָve/EL-bi/na/te/KHAand on your own understandingאַל־תִּשָּׁעֵן׃al-tish/sha/ENdo not lean

   Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6. 6

   בְּכׇל־דְּרָכֶיךָbe/KHOL-de/ra/KHE/khain all your waysדָעֵהוּda/E/huknow Himוְהוּאve/HUand Heיְיַשֵּׁרye/yash/SHERwill make straightאֹרְחֹתֶיךָ׃or/cho/TE/khayour paths

   In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

7. 7

   אַל־תְּהִיal-te/HIbe notחָכָםcha/KHAMwiseבְּעֵינֶיךָbe/e/NE/khain your own eyesיְרָאye/RAfearאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDוְסוּרve/SURand departמֵרָע׃me/RAfrom evil

   Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

8. 8

   רִפְאוּתrif/UThealingתְּהִיte/HIit will beלְשׇׁרֶּךָle/shor/RE/khato your navelוְשִׁקּוּיve/shik/KUYand refreshmentלְעַצְמוֹתֶיךָ׃le/ats/mo/TE/khato your bones

   It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

9. 9

   כַּבֵּדkab/BEDhonorאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDמֵהוֹנֶךָme/ho/NE/khafrom your wealthוּמֵרֵאשִׁיתu/me/re/SHITand from the first ofכׇּל־תְּבוּאָתֶךָ׃kol-te/vu/a/TE/khaall your produce

   Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

10. 10

    וְיִמָּלְאוּve/yim/ma/le/Uand will be filledאֲסָמֶיךָa/sa/ME/khayour storehousesשָׂבָעsa/VAplentyוְתִירוֹשׁve/ti/ROSHand new wineיְקָבֶיךָye/ka/VE/khayour wine vatsיִפְרֹצוּ׃yif/RO/tsuwill overflow

    So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

11. 11

    מוּסַרmu/SARthe discipline ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּנִיbe/NImy sonאַל־תִּמְאָסal-tim/ASdo not despiseוְאַל־תָּקֹץve/AL-ta/KOTSand be not weary ofבְּתוֹכַחְתּוֹ׃be/to/khach/TOHis reproof

    My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:

12. 12

    כִּיkiforאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhomיֶאֱהַבye/e/HAVhe lovesיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDיוֹכִיחַyo/KHI/achHe reprovesוּכְאָבu/khe/AVeven as a fatherאֶת־בֵּןet-benthe sonיִרְצֶה׃yir/TSEin whom he delights

    For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

13. 13

    אַשְׁרֵיash/REblessed isאָדָםa/DAMthe man whoמָצָאma/TSAfindsחׇכְמָהchokh/MAwisdomוְאָדָםve/a/DAMand the man whoיָפִיקya/FIKgetsתְּבוּנָה׃te/vu/NAunderstanding

    Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

14. 14

    כִּיkiforטוֹבtovbetter isסַחְרָהּsach/RAher profitמִסְּחַר־כָּסֶףmis/se/CHAR-KA/sefthan the profit of silverוּמֵחָרוּץu/me/cha/RUTSand than fine goldתְּבוּאָתָהּ׃te/vu/a/TAher gain

    For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.

15. 15

    יְקָרָהye/ka/RApreciousהִיאhiit is[מִפְּנִינִים]mip/pe/ni/NIMthan pearlsוְכׇל־חֲפָצֶיךָve/KHOL-cha/fa/TSE/khaand all you desireלֹאlonotיִשְׁווּ־בָהּ׃yish/VU-vacan compare with her

    She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.

16. 16

    אֹרֶךְO/rekhthe length ofיָמִיםya/MIMdaysבִּימִינָהּbi/mi/NAis in her right handבִּשְׂמֹאולָהּbis/mo/LAin her left handעֹשֶׁרO/sherrichesוְכָבוֹד׃ve/kha/VODand glory

    Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.

17. 17

    דְּרָכֶיהָde/ra/KHE/haher waysדַרְכֵי־נֹעַםdar/KHE-NO/amways of pleasantnessוְכׇל־נְתִיבוֹתֶיהָve/KHOL-ne/ti/vo/TE/haand all her pathwaysשָׁלוֹם׃sha/LOMpeace

    Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.

18. 18

    עֵץ־חַיִּיםets-chay/YIMa tree of lifeהִיאhishe isלַמַּחֲזִיקִיםlam/ma/cha/zi/KIMto those who take holdבָּהּbaof herוְתֹמְכֶיהָve/tom/KHE/haand those who hold fast to herמְאֻשָּׁר׃me/ush/SHARis happy

    She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

19. 19

    יְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּחׇכְמָהbe/chokh/MAin wisdomיָסַד־אָרֶץya/SAD-A/retsHe founded the earthכּוֹנֵןko/NENHe establishedשָׁמַיִםsha/MA/yimthe heavensבִּתְבוּנָה׃bit/vu/NAwith understanding

    The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.

20. 20

    בְּדַעְתּוֹbe/da/TOby His knowledgeתְּהוֹמוֹתte/ho/MOTthe deepsנִבְקָעוּniv/KA/uwere splitוּשְׁחָקִיםu/she/cha/KIMand the cloudsיִרְעֲפוּ־טָל׃yir/a/FU-talthey drip dew

    By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.

21. 21

    בְּנִיbe/NImy sonאַל־יָלֻזוּal-ya/LU/zulet them not slipמֵעֵינֶיךָme/e/NE/khafrom your eyesנְצֹרne/TSORkeepתֻּשִׁיָּהtu/shiy/YAsound wisdomוּמְזִמָּה׃u/me/zim/MAand discretion

    My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:

22. 22

    וְיִהְיוּve/yih/YUand they shall beחַיִּיםchay/YIMlifeלְנַפְשֶׁךָle/naf/SHE/khato your soulוְחֵןve/CHENand graceלְגַרְגְּרֹתֶיךָ׃le/gar/ge/ro/TE/khafor your neck

    So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.

23. 23

    אָזazthenתֵּלֵךְte/LEKHyou shall walkלָבֶטַחla/VE/tachin safetyדַּרְכֶּךָdar/KE/khayour wayוְרַגְלְךָve/rag/le/KHAand your footלֹאlonotתִגּוֹף׃tig/GOFstumble

    Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.

24. 24

    אִם־תִּשְׁכַּבim-tish/KAVwhen you lie downלֹא־תִפְחָדlo-tif/CHADyou will not be afraidוְשָׁכַבְתָּve/sha/khav/TAand you will lie downוְעָרְבָהve/a/re/VAand will be sweetשְׁנָתֶךָ׃she/na/TE/khayour sleep

    When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.

25. 25

    אַל־תִּירָאal-ti/RAbe not afraidמִפַּחַדmip/PA/chadof terrorפִּתְאֹםpit/OMsuddenוּמִשֹּׁאַתu/mish/sho/ATor of the ruin ofרְשָׁעִיםre/sha/IMthe wickedכִּיkiwhenתָבֹא׃ta/VOit comes

    Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.

26. 26

    כִּי־יְהֹוָהki-Adonaifor the LORDיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beבְכִסְלֶךָve/khis/LE/khayour confidenceוְשָׁמַרve/sha/MARand will keepרַגְלְךָrag/le/KHAyour footמִלָּכֶד׃mil/LA/khedfrom capture

    For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.

27. 27

    אַל־תִּמְנַע־טוֹבal-tim/NA-tovdo not withhold goodמִבְּעָלָיוmib/be/a/LAYVfrom its ownersבִּהְיוֹתbih/YOTwhen it isלְאֵלle/ELin the power of(ידיך)yadayakh[יָדְךָ]ya/de/KHAyour handלַעֲשׂוֹת׃la/a/SOTto do

    Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.

28. 28

    אַל־תֹּאמַרal-to/MARdo not say(לרעיך)laryakh[לְרֵעֲךָ]le/re/a/KHAto your neighborלֵךְlekhgoוָשׁוּבva/SHUVand come backוּמָחָרu/ma/CHARand tomorrowאֶתֵּןet/TENI will giveוְיֵשׁve/YESHwhen you have itאִתָּךְ׃it/TAKHwith you

    Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.

29. 29

    אַל־תַּחֲרֹשׁal-ta/cha/ROSHdo not deviseעַל־רֵעֲךָal-re/a/KHAagainst your neighborרָעָהra/Aevilוְהוּא־יוֹשֵׁבve/HU-yo/SHEVwhile he dwellsלָבֶטַחla/VE/tachin safetyאִתָּךְ׃it/TAKHwith you

    Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.

30. 30

    אַל־[תָּרִיב]al-ta/RIVdo not striveעִם־אָדָםim-a/DAMwith manחִנָּםchin/NAMwithout causeאִם־לֹאim-loif notגְמָלְךָge/ma/le/KHAhe has done youרָעָה׃ra/Aevil

    Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.

31. 31

    אַל־תְּקַנֵּאal-te/kan/NEdo not envyבְּאִישׁbe/ISHthe man ofחָמָסcha/MASviolenceוְאַל־תִּבְחַרve/AL-tiv/CHARand do not chooseבְּכׇל־דְּרָכָיו׃be/KHOL-de/ra/KHAYVany of his ways

    Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.

32. 32

    כִּיkiforתוֹעֲבַתto/a/VATthe abomination ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDנָלוֹזna/LOZis the deviousוְאֶת־יְשָׁרִיםve/ET-ye/sha/RIMand with the uprightסוֹדוֹ׃so/DOis His counsel

    For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous.

33. 33

    מְאֵרַתme/e/RATthe curse ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּבֵיתbe/VETin the house ofרָשָׁעra/SHAthe wickedוּנְוֵהu/ne/VEand the habitation ofצַדִּיקִיםtsad/di/KIMthe righteousיְבָרֵךְ׃ye/va/REKHHe blesses

    The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.

34. 34

    אִם־לַלֵּצִיםim-lal/le/TSIMtoward the scoffersהוּא־יָלִיץhu-ya/LITSHe scoffs(ולעניים)valnayayam[וְלַעֲנָוִים]ve/la/a/na/VIMand to the meekיִתֶּן־חֵן׃yit/TEN-chenHe gives grace

    Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly.

35. 35

    כָּבוֹדka/VODgloryחֲכָמִיםcha/kha/MIMthe wiseיִנְחָלוּyin/CHA/luwill inheritוּכְסִילִיםu/khe/si/LIMbut foolsמֵרִיםme/RIMcarry offקָלוֹן׃ka/LONshame

    The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.
