   וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMfor youהַמִּצְוָהham/mits/VAthe commandmentהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisהַכֹּהֲנִים׃hak/ko/ha/NIMO priests

   And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you.

2. 2

   אִם־לֹאim-loif notתִשְׁמְעוּtish/me/Uyou will hearוְאִם־לֹאve/IM-loand if notתָשִׂימוּta/SI/muyou will lay itעַל־לֵבal-levto heartלָתֵתla/TETto giveכָּבוֹדka/VODgloryלִשְׁמִיlish/MIto my nameאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתTse/va/OTof Hostsוְשִׁלַּחְתִּיve/shil/lach/TIand I will sendבָכֶםva/KHEMupon youאֶת־הַמְּאֵרָהet-ham/me/e/RAthe curseוְאָרוֹתִיve/a/ro/TIand I will curseאֶת־בִּרְכוֹתֵיכֶםet-bir/kho/te/KHEMyour blessingsוְגַםve/GAMand alsoאָרוֹתִיהָa/ro/TI/haI have cursed themכִּיkibecauseאֵינְכֶםe/ne/KHEMyou are notשָׂמִיםsa/MIMlaying itעַל־לֵב׃al-levto heart

   If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.

   הִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iגֹעֵרgo/ERrebukeלָכֶםla/KHEMfor youאֶת־הַזֶּרַעet-haz/ZE/rathe seedוְזֵרִיתִיve/ze/ri/TIand I will spreadפֶרֶשׁFE/reshdungעַל־פְּנֵיכֶםal-pe/ne/KHEMupon your facesפֶּרֶשׁPE/resheven the dung ofחַגֵּיכֶםchag/ge/KHEMyour solemn feastsוְנָשָׂאve/na/SAand one shall take awayאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouאֵלָיו׃e/LAYVwith it

   Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it.

   וִידַעְתֶּםvi/da/TEMand you shall knowכִּיkithatשִׁלַּחְתִּיshil/LACH/tiI have sentאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMunto youאֵת־הַמִּצְוָהet-ham/mits/VAthe commandmentהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTthat might beבְּרִיתִיbe/ri/TImy covenantאֶת־לֵוִיet-Le/VIwith Leviאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹת׃Tse/va/OTof Hosts

   And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.

   בְּרִיתִיbe/ri/TImy covenantהָיְתָהha/ye/TAwasאִתּוֹit/TOwith himהַחַיִּיםha/chay/YIMof lifeוְהַשָּׁלוֹםve/hash/sha/LOMand peaceוָאֶתְּנֵם־לוֹva/et/te/NEM-loand I gave them to himמוֹרָאmo/RAfor fearוַיִּירָאֵנִיvay/yi/ra/E/niand he feared meוּמִפְּנֵיu/mip/pe/NEand beforeשְׁמִיshe/MImy nameנִחַתni/CHATwas afraidהוּא׃huhe

   My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name.

   תּוֹרַתto/RATthe law ofאֱמֶתe/METtruthהָיְתָהha/ye/TAwasבְּפִיהוּbe/FI/huin his mouthוְעַוְלָהve/av/LAand iniquityלֹא־נִמְצָאlo-nim/TSAwas not foundבִשְׂפָתָיוvis/fa/TAYVon his lipsבְּשָׁלוֹםbe/sha/LOMin peaceוּבְמִישׁוֹרu/ve/mi/SHORand in uprightnessהָלַךְha/LAKHhe walkedאִתִּיit/TIwith meוְרַבִּיםve/rab/BIMand manyהֵשִׁיבhe/SHIVdid turnמֵעָוֺן׃me/a/VONfrom iniquity

   The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.

   כִּי־שִׂפְתֵיki-sif/TEfor the lips ofכֹהֵןkho/HENa priestיִשְׁמְרוּ־דַעַתyish/me/RU-DA/atshould keep knowledgeוְתוֹרָהve/to/RAand the lawיְבַקְשׁוּye/vak/SHUthey should seekמִפִּיהוּmip/PI/hufrom his mouthכִּיkiforמַלְאַךְmal/AKHthe messenger ofיְהֹוָה־צְבָאוֹתAdonai-Tse/va/OTthe LORD of Hostsהוּא׃huhe is

   For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.

   וְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMbut youסַרְתֶּםsar/TEMhave departedמִן־הַדֶּרֶךְmin-had/DE/rekhout of the wayהִכְשַׁלְתֶּםhikh/shal/TEMyou have caused to stumbleרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyבַּתּוֹרָהbat/to/RAat the lawשִׁחַתֶּםshi/chat/TEMyou have corruptedבְּרִיתbe/RITthe covenant ofהַלֵּוִיhal/Le/VIthe Leviteאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹת׃Tse/va/OTof Hosts

   But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.

   וְגַם־אֲנִיve/GAM-a/NItherefore also Iנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tihave madeאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouנִבְזִיםniv/ZIMcontemptibleוּשְׁפָלִיםu/she/fa/LIMand baseלְכׇל־הָעָםle/KHOL-ha/AMbefore all the peopleכְּפִיke/FIaccording asאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאֵינְכֶםe/ne/KHEMyou are notשֹׁמְרִיםshom/RIMkeepingאֶת־דְּרָכַיet-de/ra/KHAYmy waysוְנֹשְׂאִיםve/nos/IMand lifting upפָּנִיםpa/NIMfacesבַּתּוֹרָה׃bat/to/RAin the law

   Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.

    הֲלוֹאha/LOis notאָבavfatherאֶחָדe/CHADoneלְכֻלָּנוּle/khul/LA/nuto all of usהֲלוֹאha/LOis notאֵלelGodאֶחָדe/CHADoneבְּרָאָנוּbe/ra/A/nucreated usמַדּוּעַmad/DU/awhyנִבְגַּדniv/GADdo we deal treacherouslyאִישׁishevery manבְּאָחִיוbe/a/CHIVagainst his brotherלְחַלֵּלle/chal/LELby profaningבְּרִיתbe/RITthe covenant ofאֲבֹתֵינוּ׃a/vo/TE/nuour fathers

    Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?

11. 11

    בָּגְדָהba/ge/DAhas dealt treacherouslyיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahוְתוֹעֵבָהve/to/e/VAand an abominationנֶעֶשְׂתָהne/es/TAis committedבְיִשְׂרָאֵלve/Yis/ra/ELin Israelוּבִירוּשָׁלָ͏ִםu/Vi/ru/sha/LA/yimand in Jerusalemכִּיkiforחִלֵּלchil/LELhas profanedיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahקֹדֶשׁKO/deshthe holiness ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאָהֵבa/HEVHe lovesוּבָעַלu/va/ALand has marriedבַּת־אֵלbat-elthe daughter of a godנֵכָר׃ne/KHARforeign

    Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the LORD which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god.

12. 12

    יַכְרֵתyakh/RETwill cut offיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלָאִישׁla/ISHthe manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיַעֲשֶׂנָּהya/a/SEN/nadoes thisעֵרerhim that wakesוְעֹנֶהve/o/NEand him that answersמֵאׇהֳלֵיme/o/ho/LEfrom the tents ofיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobוּמַגִּישׁu/mag/GISHand him that offersמִנְחָהmin/CHAan offeringלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDצְבָאוֹת׃Tse/va/OTof Hosts

    The LORD will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the LORD of hosts.

13. 13

    וְזֹאתve/ZOTand thisשֵׁנִיתshe/NITa second thingתַּעֲשׂוּta/a/SUyou doכַּסּוֹתkas/SOTcoveringדִּמְעָהdim/Atearsאֶת־מִזְבַּחet-miz/BACHthe altar ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּכִיbe/KHIweepingוַאֲנָקָהva/a/na/KAand sighingמֵאֵיןme/ENso that there is noעוֹדodany moreפְּנוֹתpe/NOTturningאֶל־הַמִּנְחָהel-ham/min/CHAto the offeringוְלָקַחַתve/la/KA/chator receivingרָצוֹןra/TSONwith favorמִיֶּדְכֶם׃miy/yed/KHEMfrom your hand

    And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand.

14. 14

    וַאֲמַרְתֶּםva/a/mar/TEMand you sayעַל־מָהal-mawhereforeעַלalbecauseכִּי־יְהֹוָהki-Adonaithat the LORDהֵעִידhe/IDhas been witnessבֵּינְךָbe/ne/KHAbetween youוּבֵיןu/VENand betweenאֵשֶׁתE/shetthe wife ofנְעוּרֶיךָne/u/RE/khayour youthאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomאַתָּהat/TAyouבָּגַדְתָּהba/GAD/tayou have dealt treacherouslyבָּהּbaagainst herוְהִיאve/HIyet she isחֲבֶרְתְּךָcha/ver/te/KHAyour companionוְאֵשֶׁתve/E/shetand the wife ofבְּרִיתֶךָ׃be/ri/TE/khayour covenant

    Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.

15. 15

    וְלֹא־אֶחָדve/LO-e/CHADand not oneעָשָׂהa/SAdid He makeוּשְׁאָרu/she/ARand the residue ofרוּחַRU/achspiritלוֹlohad Heוּמָהu/MAand whyהָאֶחָדha/e/CHADthe oneמְבַקֵּשׁme/vak/KESHseekingזֶרַעZE/raa seed ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodוְנִשְׁמַרְתֶּםve/nish/mar/TEMtherefore take heedבְּרוּחֲכֶםbe/ru/cha/KHEMto your spiritוּבְאֵשֶׁתu/ve/E/shetand against the wife ofנְעוּרֶיךָne/u/RE/khayour youthאַל־יִבְגֹּד׃al-yiv/GODlet none deal treacherously

    And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.

16. 16

    כִּי־שָׂנֵאki-sa/NEfor He hatesשַׁלַּחshal/LACHputting awayאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְכִסָּהve/khis/SAand one coversחָמָסcha/MASviolenceעַל־לְבוּשׁוֹal-le/vu/SHOwith his garmentאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתTse/va/OTof Hostsוְנִשְׁמַרְתֶּםve/nish/mar/TEMtherefore take heedבְּרוּחֲכֶםbe/ru/cha/KHEMto your spiritוְלֹאve/LOand notתִבְגֹּדוּ׃tiv/GO/duyou deal treacherously

    For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.

    הוֹגַעְתֶּםho/ga/TEMyou have weariedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבְּדִבְרֵיכֶםbe/div/re/KHEMwith your wordsוַאֲמַרְתֶּםva/a/mar/TEMand you sayבַּמָּהbam/MAwhereinהוֹגָעְנוּho/GA/nuhave we wearied Himבֶּאֱמׇרְכֶםbe/e/mor/KHEMin your sayingכׇּל־עֹשֵׂהkol-O/seevery one that doesרָעraevilטוֹבtovis goodבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוּבָהֶםu/va/HEMand in themהוּאhuHeחָפֵץcha/FETSdelightsאוֹoorאַיֵּהay/YEwhere isאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofהַמִּשְׁפָּט׃ham/mish/PATjudgment

    Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?
