    וִיהוֹשֻׁעַand Joshuaזָקֵןwas oldבָּאadvancedבַּיָּמִיםin yearsוַיֹּאמֶרand saidיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֵלָיוto himאַתָּהyouזָקַנְתָּהare oldבָּאתָadvancedבַיָּמִיםin yearsוְהָאָרֶץand the landנִשְׁאֲרָהremainsהַרְבֵּה־מְאֹדvery muchלְרִשְׁתָּהּ׃to possess it

    Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the LORD said unto him, Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed.

    זֹאתthisהָאָרֶץthe landהַנִּשְׁאָרֶתthe one which remainsכׇּל־גְּלִילוֹתall the territories ofהַפְּלִשְׁתִּיםthe Philistinesוְכׇל־הַגְּשׁוּרִי׃and all the Geshurites

    This is the land that yet remaineth: all the borders of the Philistines, and all Geshuri,

    מִן־הַשִּׁיחוֹרfrom the Shihorאֲשֶׁרwhichעַל־פְּנֵיupon the face ofמִצְרַיִםEgyptוְעַדand untoגְּבוּלborder ofעֶקְרוֹןEkronצָפוֹנָהnorthwardלַכְּנַעֲנִיto the Canaaniteתֵּחָשֵׁבis countedחֲמֵשֶׁתfiveסַרְנֵיthe lords ofפְלִשְׁתִּיםthe Philistinesהָעַזָּתִיthe Gazitesוְהָאַשְׁדּוֹדִיand the Ashdoditesהָאֶשְׁקְלוֹנִיthe Ashkelonitesהַגִּתִּיthe Gittitesוְהָעֶקְרוֹנִיand the Ekronitesוְהָעַוִּים׃and the Avvites

    From Sihor, which is before Egypt, even unto the borders of Ekron northward, which is counted to the Canaanite: five lords of the Philistines; the Gazathites, and the Ashdothites, the Eshkalonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avites:

    מִתֵּימָןfrom the southכׇּל־אֶרֶץall land ofהַכְּנַעֲנִיthe Canaaniteוּמְעָרָהand Mearahאֲשֶׁרwhichלַצִּידֹנִיםto the Zidoniansעַד־אֲפֵקָהto until Aphekעַדuntilגְּבוּלborder ofהָאֱמֹרִי׃the Amorite

    From the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that is beside the Sidonians, unto Aphek, to the borders of the Amorites:

    וְהָאָרֶץand the land ofהַגִּבְלִיthe Giblitesוְכׇל־הַלְּבָנוֹןand all Lebanonמִזְרַחthe rising ofהַשֶּׁמֶשׁthe sunמִבַּעַלfrom BaalגָּדGadתַּחַתunderהַר־חֶרְמוֹןmount Hermonעַדuntoלְבוֹאthe entering intoחֲמָת׃Hamath

    And the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrising, from Baal-gad under mount Hermon unto the entering into Hamath.

    כׇּל־יֹשְׁבֵיall inhabitants ofהָהָרthe mountainsמִן־הַלְּבָנוֹןfrom Lebanonעַד־מִשְׂרְפֹתuntil Misrephothמַיִםmaimכׇּל־צִידֹנִיםall the ZidoniansאָנֹכִיIאוֹרִישֵׁםwill dispossess themמִפְּנֵיbecause ofבְּנֵיthe sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelרַקonlyהַפִּלֶהָdivide it by lotלְיִשְׂרָאֵלto Israelבְּנַחֲלָהfor an inheritanceכַּאֲשֶׁרasצִוִּיתִיךָ׃I commanded you

    All the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon unto Misrephoth-maim, and all the Sidonians, them will I drive out from before the children of Israel: only divide thou it by lot unto the Israelites for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.

    וְעַתָּהand nowחַלֵּקapportionאֶת־הָאָרֶץthe landהַזֹּאתthisבְּנַחֲלָהan inheritanceלְתִשְׁעַתto the nineהַשְּׁבָטִיםtribesוַחֲצִיand one half ofהַשֵּׁבֶטthe tribeהַמְנַשֶּׁה׃Manasseh

    Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance unto the nine tribes, and the half tribe of Manasseh,

    עִמּוֹwith himהָראוּבֵנִיthe Reubenitesוְהַגָּדִיand the Gaditesלָקְחוּthey tookנַחֲלָתָםtheir inheritanceאֲשֶׁרwhichנָתַןgaveלָהֶםto themמֹשֶׁהMosesבְּעֵבֶרbeyondהַיַּרְדֵּןthe Jordanמִזְרָחָהeastwardכַּאֲשֶׁרasנָתַןgaveלָהֶםto themמֹשֶׁהMosesעֶבֶדthe servant ofיְהֹוָה׃the LORD

    With whom the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond Jordan eastward, even as Moses the servant of the LORD gave them;

    מֵעֲרוֹעֵרfrom Aroerאֲשֶׁרwhichעַל־שְׂפַת־נַחַלupon the bank of the wadi ofאַרְנוֹןArnonוְהָעִירand the cityאֲשֶׁרwhichבְּתוֹךְ־הַנַּחַלin the midst of the riverוְכׇל־הַמִּישֹׁרand all the plainמֵידְבָאMedebaעַד־דִּיבוֹן׃until Dibon

    From Aroer, that is upon the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river, and all the plain of Medeba unto Dibon;

    וְכֹלand allעָרֵיcities ofסִיחוֹןSihonמֶלֶךְthe king ofהָאֱמֹרִיthe Amoriteאֲשֶׁרwhichמָלַךְreignedבְּחֶשְׁבּוֹןin Heshbonעַד־גְּבוּלuntil border ofבְּנֵיthe sons ofעַמּוֹן׃Ammon

    And all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, unto the border of the children of Ammon;

    וְהַגִּלְעָדand Gileadוּגְבוּלand the border ofהַגְּשׁוּרִיthe Geshuritesוְהַמַּעֲכָתִיand the Maachathitesוְכֹלand allהַרmountחֶרְמוֹןHermonוְכׇל־הַבָּשָׁןand all Bashanעַד־סַלְכָה׃until Salchah

    And Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maachathites, and all mount Hermon, and all Bashan unto Salcah;

    כׇּל־מַמְלְכוּתall the kingdom ofעוֹגOgבַּבָּשָׁןin Bashanאֲשֶׁר־מָלַךְwhich reignedבְּעַשְׁתָּרוֹתin Ashtarothוּבְאֶדְרֶעִיand in Edreiהוּאheנִשְׁאַרremainedמִיֶּתֶרfrom the remnant ofהָרְפָאִיםthe Rephaimוַיַּכֵּםand smote themמֹשֶׁהMosesוַיֹּרִשֵׁם׃and he had dispossessed them

    All the kingdom of Og in Bashan, which reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, who remained of the remnant of the giants: for these did Moses smite, and cast them out.

    וְלֹאand notהוֹרִישׁוּdrove outבְּנֵיthe sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelאֶת־הַגְּשׁוּרִיthe Geshuritesוְאֶת־הַמַּעֲכָתִיand the Maachathitesוַיֵּשֶׁבand dweltגְּשׁוּרGeshurוּמַעֲכָתand MaachahבְּקֶרֶבamongיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelעַדuntilהַיּוֹםthe dayהַזֶּה׃this

    Nevertheless the children of Israel expelled not the Geshurites, nor the Maachathites: but the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwell among the Israelites until this day.

    רַקonlyלְשֵׁבֶטto the tribe ofהַלֵּוִיthe Leviteלֹאnotנָתַןgaveנַחֲלָהinheritanceאִשֵּׁיthe fire offerings ofיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיthe God ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelהוּאheנַחֲלָתוֹhis inheritanceכַּאֲשֶׁרasדִּבֶּר־לוֹ׃he said to him

    Only unto the tribe of Levi he gave none inheritance; the sacrifices of the LORD God of Israel made by fire are their inheritance, as he said unto them.

  15. 15

    וַיִּתֵּןand gaveמֹשֶׁהMosesלְמַטֵּהof the tribe ofבְנֵי־רְאוּבֵןsons of Reubenלְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם׃to their families

    And Moses gave unto the tribe of the children of Reuben inheritance according to their families.

    וַיְהִיand it came to passלָהֶםto themהַגְּבוּלthe border ofמֵעֲרוֹעֵרfrom Aroerאֲשֶׁרwhichעַל־שְׂפַת־נַחַלupon the bank of the wadi ofאַרְנוֹןArnonוְהָעִירand the cityאֲשֶׁרwhichבְּתוֹךְ־הַנַּחַלin the midst of the riverוְכׇל־הַמִּישֹׁרand all the plainעַל־מֵידְבָא׃upon Medeba

    And their coast was from Aroer, that is on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river, and all the plain by Medeba;

    חֶשְׁבּוֹןHeshbonוְכׇל־עָרֶיהָand all its citiesאֲשֶׁרwhichבַּמִּישֹׁרare in the plainדִּיבֹןDibonוּבָמוֹתand Bamothבַּעַלbaalוּבֵיתand Beth-בַּעַלbaalמְעוֹן׃meon

    Heshbon, and all her cities that are in the plain; Dibon, and Bamoth-baal, and Beth-baal-meon,

  18. 18

    וְיַהְצָהand Jahazוּקְדֵמֹתand Kedemothוּמֵפָעַת׃and Mephaath

    And Jahazah, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,

  19. 19

    וְקִרְיָתַיִםand Kirjathaimוְשִׂבְמָהand Sibmahוְצֶרֶתand Zerethהַשַּׁחַרshaharבְּהַרon the mount ofהָעֵמֶק׃the valley

    And Kirjathaim, and Sibmah, and Zareth-shahar in the mount of the valley,

    וּבֵיתand Beth-פְּעוֹרpeorוְאַשְׁדּוֹתand the slopes ofהַפִּסְגָּהPisgahוּבֵיתand Beth-הַיְשִׁמוֹת׃jeshimoth

    And Beth-peor, and Ashdoth-pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth,

  21. 21

    וְכֹלand allעָרֵיcities ofהַמִּישֹׁרthe plainוְכׇל־מַמְלְכוּתand all the kingdom ofסִיחוֹןSihonמֶלֶךְthe king ofהָאֱמֹרִיthe Amoriteאֲשֶׁרwhichמָלַךְreignedבְּחֶשְׁבּוֹןin HeshbonאֲשֶׁרwhichהִכָּהstruckמֹשֶׁהMosesאֹתוֹhimוְאֶת־נְשִׂיאֵיand leaders ofמִדְיָןMidianאֶת־אֱוִיEviוְאֶת־רֶקֶםand Rekemוְאֶת־צוּרand Zurוְאֶת־חוּרand Hurוְאֶת־רֶבַעand Rebaנְסִיכֵיthe princes ofסִיחוֹןSihonיֹשְׁבֵיinhabitants ofהָאָרֶץ׃the land

    And all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses smote with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, which were dukes of Sihon, dwelling in the country.

  22. 22

    וְאֶת־בִּלְעָםand Balaamבֶּן־בְּעוֹרson of Beorהַקּוֹסֵםthe divinerהָרְגוּhad slainבְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלsons of Israelבַּחֶרֶבwith the swordאֶל־חַלְלֵיהֶם׃among them that were slain

    Balaam also the son of Beor, the soothsayer, did the children of Israel slay with the sword among them that were slain by them.

  23. 23

    וַיְהִיand it came to passגְּבוּלborder ofבְּנֵיthe sons ofרְאוּבֵןReubenהַיַּרְדֵּןthe Jordanוּגְבוּלand the borderזֹאתthisנַחֲלַתthe inheritance ofבְּנֵי־רְאוּבֵןsons of Reubenלְמִשְׁפְּחוֹתָםto their familiesהֶעָרִיםthe citiesוְחַצְרֵיהֶן׃and their villages

    And the border of the children of Reuben was Jordan, and the border thereof. This was the inheritance of the children of Reuben after their families, the cities and the villages thereof.

  24. 24

    וַיִּתֵּןand gaveמֹשֶׁהMosesלְמַטֵּה־גָדof the tribe of Gadלִבְנֵי־גָדunto the sons of Gadלְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם׃to their families

    And Moses gave inheritance unto the tribe of Gad, even unto the children of Gad according to their families.

  25. 25

    וַיְהִיand it came to passלָהֶםto themהַגְּבוּלthe border ofיַעְזֵרJazerוְכׇל־עָרֵיand all cities ofהַגִּלְעָדGileadוַחֲצִיand one half ofאֶרֶץthe land ofבְּנֵיthe sons ofעַמּוֹןAmmonעַד־עֲרוֹעֵרuntil Aroerאֲשֶׁרwhichעַל־פְּנֵיupon the face ofרַבָּה׃Rabbah

    And their coast was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the children of Ammon, unto Aroer that is before Rabbah;

  26. 26

    וּמֵחֶשְׁבּוֹןand from Heshbonעַד־רָמַתuntil RamathהַמִּצְפֶּהMizpahוּבְטֹנִיםand Betonimוּמִמַּחֲנַיִםand from Mahanaimעַד־גְּבוּלuntil border ofלִדְבִר׃Lo Debar

    And from Heshbon unto Ramath-mizpeh, and Betonim; and from Mahanaim unto the border of Debir;

  27. 27

    וּבָעֵמֶקand in the valleyבֵּיתBeth-הָרָםharamוּבֵיתand Beth-נִמְרָהnimrahוְסֻכּוֹתand Succothוְצָפוֹןand Zaphonיֶתֶרthe remainder ofמַמְלְכוּתthe kingdom ofסִיחוֹןSihonמֶלֶךְthe king ofחֶשְׁבּוֹןHeshbonהַיַּרְדֵּןthe Jordanוּגְבֻלand a borderעַד־קְצֵהunto the ends ofיָם־כִּנֶּרֶתthe sea Chinnerethעֵבֶרsideהַיַּרְדֵּןthe Jordanמִזְרָחָה׃eastward

    And in the valley, Beth-aram, and Beth-nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, Jordan and his border, even unto the edge of the sea of Chinnereth on the other side Jordan eastward.

  28. 28

    זֹאתthisנַחֲלַתthe inheritance ofבְּנֵי־גָדsons of Gadלְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָםto their familiesהֶעָרִיםthe citiesוְחַצְרֵיהֶם׃and their villages

    This is the inheritance of the children of Gad after their families, the cities, and their villages.

    וַיִּתֵּןand gaveמֹשֶׁהMosesלַחֲצִיto the halfשֵׁבֶטtribe ofמְנַשֶּׁהManassehוַיְהִיand it came to passלַחֲצִיto the halfמַטֵּהthe tribe ofבְנֵי־מְנַשֶּׁהsons of Manassehלְמִשְׁפְּחוֹתָם׃to their families

    And Moses gave inheritance unto the half tribe of Manasseh: and this was the possession of the half tribe of the children of Manasseh by their families.

    וַיְהִיand it came to passגְבוּלָםtheir territoryמִמַּחֲנַיִםfrom Mahanaimכׇּל־הַבָּשָׁןall Bashanכׇּל־מַמְלְכוּתall the kingdom ofעוֹגOgמֶלֶךְ־הַבָּשָׁןthe king of Bashanוְכׇל־חַוֺּתand all HavvothיָאִירJairאֲשֶׁרwhichבַּבָּשָׁןin Bashanשִׁשִּׁיםsixtyעִיר׃cities

    And their coast was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair, which are in Bashan, threescore cities:

  31. 31

    וַחֲצִיand one half ofהַגִּלְעָדGileadוְעַשְׁתָּרוֹתand Ashtarothוְאֶדְרֶעִיand Edreiעָרֵיcities ofמַמְלְכוּתthe kingdom ofעוֹגOgבַּבָּשָׁןin Bashanלִבְנֵיunto the sons ofמָכִירMachirבֶּן־מְנַשֶּׁהson of Manassehלַחֲצִיto the halfבְנֵי־מָכִירsons of Machirלְמִשְׁפְּחוֹתָם׃to their families

    And half Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were pertaining unto the children of Machir the son of Manasseh, even to the one half of the children of Machir by their families.

  32. 32

    אֵלֶּהtheseאֲשֶׁר־נִחַלwhich gave as a possessionמֹשֶׁהMosesבְּעַרְבוֹתin the plains ofמוֹאָבMoabמֵעֵבֶרacrossלְיַרְדֵּןof the JordanיְרִיחוֹJerichoמִזְרָחָה׃eastward

    These are the countries which Moses did distribute for inheritance in the plains of Moab, on the other side Jordan, by Jericho, eastward.

  33. 33

    וּלְשֵׁבֶטand to the tribe ofהַלֵּוִיthe Leviteלֹא־נָתַןnot gaveמֹשֶׁהMosesנַחֲלָהinheritanceיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֵיthe God ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelהוּאheנַחֲלָתָםtheir inheritanceכַּאֲשֶׁרasדִּבֶּרspokeלָהֶם׃to them

    But unto the tribe of Levi Moses gave not any inheritance: the LORD God of Israel was their inheritance, as he said unto them.
