   הֲיָדַעְתָּha/ya/DA/tado you knowעֵתetthe timeלֶדֶתLE/detof giving birth ofיַעֲלֵי־סָלַעya/a/LE-SA/lathe wild goats of the rockחֹלֵלcho/LELthe calving ofאַיָּלוֹתay/ya/LOTthe hindsתִּשְׁמֹר׃tish/MORcan you watch

   Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? or canst thou mark when the hinds do calve?

   תִּסְפֹּרtis/PORcan you numberיְרָחִיםye/ra/CHIMthe monthsתְּמַלֶּאנָהte/mal/LE/nathey fulfillוְיָדַעְתָּve/ya/da/TAor do you knowעֵתetthe timeלִדְתָּנָה׃lid/TA/naof their giving birth

   Canst thou number the months that they fulfil? or knowest thou the time when they bring forth?

   תִּכְרַעְנָהtikh/ra/NAthey crouchיַלְדֵיהֶןyal/de/HENtheir young onesתְּפַלַּחְנָהte/fal/LACH/nathey bring forthחֶבְלֵיהֶםchev/le/HEMtheir pangsתְּשַׁלַּחְנָה׃te/shal/LACH/nathey send away

   They bow themselves, they bring forth their young ones, they cast out their sorrows.

   יַחְלְמוּyach/le/MUgrow strongבְנֵיהֶםve/ne/HEMtheir youngיִרְבּוּyir/BUthey grow upבַבָּרvab/BARin the open fieldיָצְאוּya/tse/Uthey go outוְלֹא־שָׁבוּve/LO-SHA/vuand do not returnלָמוֹ׃LA/moto them

   Their young ones are in good liking, they grow up with corn; they go forth, and return not unto them.

   מִי־שִׁלַּחmi-shil/LACHwho sentפֶּרֶאPE/rethe wild donkeyחׇפְשִׁיchof/SHIfreeוּמֹסְרוֹתu/mos/ROTand the bonds ofעָרוֹדa/RODthe swift donkeyמִיmiwhoפִתֵּחַ׃fit/TE/achhas loosed

   Who hath sent out the wild ass free? or who hath loosed the bands of the wild ass?

   אֲשֶׁר־שַׂמְתִּיa/SHER-SAM/tiwhom I have madeעֲרָבָהa/ra/VAthe desertבֵיתוֹve/TOhis homeוּמִשְׁכְּנוֹתָיוu/mish/ke/no/TAYVand his dwellingsמְלֵחָה׃me/le/CHAthe salt land

   Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren land his dwellings.

   יִשְׂחַקyis/CHAKhe scornsלַהֲמוֹןla/ha/MONat the tumult ofקִרְיָהkir/YAa townתְּשֻׁאוֹתte/shu/OTthe shoutings ofנֹגֵשׂno/GESthe driverלֹאlonotיִשְׁמָע׃yish/MAhe hears

   He scorneth the multitude of the city, neither regardeth he the crying of the driver.

   יְתוּרye/TURthe range ofהָרִיםha/RIMthe mountainsמִרְעֵהוּmir/E/huis his pastureוְאַחַרve/a/CHARand afterכׇּל־יָרוֹקkol-ya/ROKevery green thingיִדְרוֹשׁ׃yid/ROSHhe searches after

   The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searcheth after every green thing.

   הֲיֹאבֶהha/YO/vewill be willingרֵּיםremthe wild oxעׇבְדֶךָov/DE/khato serve youאִם־יָלִיןim-ya/LINor will he spend the nightעַל־אֲבוּסֶךָ׃al-a/vu/SE/khaby your manger

   Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib?

    הֲתִקְשׇׁר־רֵיםha/tik/SHOR-remcan you bind the wild oxבְּתֶלֶםbe/TE/lemin the furrowעֲבֹתוֹa/vo/TOwith his ropeאִם־יְשַׂדֵּדim-ye/sad/DEDor will he harrowעֲמָקִיםa/ma/KIMthe valleysאַחֲרֶיךָ׃a/cha/RE/khaafter you

    Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?

    הֲתִבְטַח־בּוֹha/tiv/TACH-bowill you trust himכִּי־רַבki-ravbecause is greatכֹּחוֹko/CHOhis strengthוְתַעֲזֹבve/ta/a/ZOVor will you leaveאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himיְגִיעֶךָ׃ye/gi/E/khayour labor

    Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? or wilt thou leave thy labour to him?

    הֲתַאֲמִיןha/ta/a/MINwill you trustבּוֹbohimכִּי־[יָשִׁיב]ki-ya/SHIVthat he will bring home(ישוב)yashavavזַרְעֶךָzar/E/khayour seedוְגׇרְנְךָve/gor/ne/KHAand to your threshing floorיֶאֱסֹף׃ye/e/SOFgather it

    Wilt thou believe him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather it into thy barn?

    כְּנַף־רְנָנִיםke/NAF-re/na/NIMthe wing of the ostrichנֶעֱלָסָהne/e/LA/saflaps joyfullyאִם־אֶבְרָהim-ev/RAbut are the pinionsחֲסִידָהcha/si/DAof the storkוְנֹצָה׃ve/no/TSAand plumage

    Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich?

14. 14

    כִּי־תַעֲזֹבki-ta/a/ZOVfor she leavesלָאָרֶץla/A/retson the earthבֵּצֶיהָbe/TSE/haher eggsוְעַל־עָפָרve/AL-a/FARand in the dustתְּחַמֵּם׃te/cham/MEMlets them warm

    Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in dust,

15. 15

    וַתִּשְׁכַּחvat/tish/KACHand she forgetsכִּי־רֶגֶלki-RE/gelthat a footתְּזוּרֶהָte/zu/RE/hamay crush themוְחַיַּתve/chay/YATor the beast ofהַשָּׂדֶהhas/sa/DEthe fieldתְדוּשֶׁהָ׃te/du/she/HAmay trample them

    And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them.

    הִקְשִׁיחַhik/SHI/achshe deals harshly withבָּנֶיהָba/NE/haher youngלְּלֹא־לָהּle/LO-laas if they were not hersלְרִיקle/RIKin vainיְגִיעָהּye/gi/Aher labor isבְּלִי־פָחַד׃be/LI-FA/chadwithout fear

    She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not hers: her labour is in vain without fear;

17. 17

    כִּי־הִשָּׁהּki-hish/SHAbecause has made her forgetאֱלוֹהַּe/LO/ahGodחׇכְמָהchokh/MAwisdomוְלֹא־חָלַקve/LO-CHA/lakand has not givenלָהּlato herבַּבִּינָה׃bab/bi/NAunderstanding

    Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding.

    כָּעֵתka/ETwhenבַּמָּרוֹםbam/ma/ROMon highתַּמְרִיאtam/RIshe lifts herselfתִּשְׂחַקtis/CHAKshe laughsלַסּוּסlas/SUSat the horseוּלְרֹכְבוֹ׃u/le/rokh/VOand at its rider

    What time she lifteth up herself on high, she scorneth the horse and his rider.

19. 19

    הֲתִתֵּןha/tit/TENhave you givenלַסּוּסlas/SUSto the horseגְּבוּרָהge/vu/RAstrengthהֲתַלְבִּישׁha/tal/BISHhave you clothedצַוָּארוֹtsav/va/ROhis neckרַעְמָה׃ra/MAwith a mane

    Hast thou given the horse strength? hast thou clothed his neck with thunder?

20. 20

    הֲתַרְעִישֶׁנּוּha/tar/i/shen/NUdo you make him leapכָּאַרְבֶּהka/ar/BElike the locustהוֹדhodthe majesty ofנַחְרוֹnach/ROhis snortingאֵימָה׃e/MAis terrible

    Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible.

21. 21

    יַחְפְּרוּyach/pe/RUthey pawבָעֵמֶקva/E/mekin the valleyוְיָשִׂישׂve/ya/SISand he exultsבְּכֹחַbe/KHO/achin strengthיֵצֵאye/TSEhe goes outלִקְרַאת־נָשֶׁק׃lik/RAT-NA/shekto meet the weapons

    He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: he goeth on to meet the armed men.

22. 22

    יִשְׂחַקyis/CHAKhe mocksלְפַחַדle/FA/chadat fearוְלֹאve/LOand notיֵחָתye/CHATis dismayedוְלֹא־יָשׁוּבve/LO-ya/SHUVand does not turn backמִפְּנֵי־חָרֶב׃mip/pe/NE-CHA/revfrom the sword

    He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turneth he back from the sword.

23. 23

    עָלָיוa/LAYVupon himתִּרְנֶהtir/NErattlesאַשְׁפָּהash/PAa quiverלַהַבLA/havthe flashingחֲנִיתcha/NITspearוְכִידוֹן׃ve/khi/DONand javelin

    The quiver rattleth against him, the glittering spear and the shield.

24. 24

    בְּרַעַשׁbe/RA/ashwith quakingוְרֹגֶזve/RO/gezand rageיְגַמֶּא־אָרֶץye/gam/ME-A/retshe swallows the groundוְלֹא־יַאֲמִיןve/LO-ya/a/MINand does not stand stillכִּי־קוֹלki-kolwhen the sound ofשׁוֹפָר׃sho/FARthe trumpet

    He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believeth he that it is the sound of the trumpet.

    בְּדֵיbe/DEwheneverשֹׁפָרsho/FARthe trumpetיֹאמַרyo/MARhe saysהֶאָחhe/ACHahaוּמֵרָחוֹקu/me/ra/CHOKand from a distanceיָרִיחַya/RI/achhe smellsמִלְחָמָהmil/cha/MAwarרַעַםRA/amthe thunder ofשָׂרִיםsa/RIMthe captainsוּתְרוּעָה׃u/te/ru/Aand the shouting

    He saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smelleth the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.

    הֲמִבִּינָתְךָha/mib/bi/NAT/khais it by your understandingיַאֲבֶר־נֵץya/a/VER-netsthat the hawk soarsיִפְרֹשׂyif/ROSspreadsכְּנָפָוke/na/FAVhis wingsלְתֵימָן׃le/te/MANto the south

    Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the south?

27. 27

    אִם־עַל־פִּיךָim-al-PI/khaat your commandיַגְבִּיהַּyag/BI/ahdoes mount upנָשֶׁרNA/sherthe eagleוְכִיve/KHIandיָרִיםya/RIMmakes highקִנּוֹ׃kin/NOhis nest

    Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high?

28. 28

    סֶלַעSE/lathe rockיִשְׁכֹּןyish/KONhe dwells onוְיִתְלֹנָןve/yit/lo/NANand lodgesעַלalonשֶׁן־סֶלַעshen-SE/lathe crag of the rockוּמְצוּדָה׃u/me/tsu/DAand the stronghold

    She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place.

29. 29

    מִשָּׁםmish/SHAMfrom thereחָפַר־אֹכֶלcha/FAR-O/khelhe spies out foodלְמֵרָחוֹקle/me/ra/CHOKafar offעֵינָיוe/NAYVhis eyesיַבִּיטוּ׃yab/BI/tusee it

    From thence she seeketh the prey, and her eyes behold afar off.

30. 30

    וְאֶפְרֹחָוve/ef/ro/CHAVand his youngיְעַלְעוּ־דָםye/al/U-damsuck up bloodוּבַאֲשֶׁרu/va/a/SHERand whereחֲלָלִיםcha/la/LIMthe slain areשָׁםshamthereהוּא׃huis he

    Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there is she.
