   אַף־לְזֹאתaf-le/ZOTat this alsoיֶחֱרַדye/che/RADtremblesלִבִּיlib/BImy heartוְיִתַּרve/yit/TARand leapsמִמְּקוֹמוֹ׃mim/me/ko/MOfrom its place

   At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place.

2. 2

   שִׁמְעוּshim/Uhearשָׁמוֹעַsha/MO/ahearבְּרֹגֶזbe/RO/gezthe thundering ofקֹלוֹko/LOHis voiceוְהֶגֶהve/HE/geand the rumblingמִפִּיוmip/PIVfrom His mouthיֵצֵא׃ye/TSEthat goes out

   Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth.

   תַּחַת־כׇּל־הַשָּׁמַיִםTA/chat-kol-hash/sha/MA/yimunder all the heavensיִשְׁרֵהוּyish/RE/huHe lets it looseוְאוֹרוֹve/o/ROand His lightningעַל־כַּנְפוֹתal-kan/FOTto the ends ofהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsthe earth

   He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.

   אַחֲרָיוa/cha/RAYVafter itיִשְׁאַג־קוֹלyish/AG-kola voice roarsיַרְעֵםyar/EMHe thundersבְּקוֹלbe/KOLwith the voice ofגְּאוֹנוֹge/o/NOHis majestyוְלֹאve/LOand notיְעַקְּבֵםye/ak/ke/VEMHe restrains themכִּי־יִשָּׁמַעki-yish/sha/MAwhen is heardקוֹלוֹ׃ko/LOHis voice

   After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.

   יַרְעֵםyar/EMthundersאֵלelGodבְּקוֹלוֹbe/ko/LOwith His voiceנִפְלָאוֹתnif/la/OTwondrouslyעֹשֶׂהo/SEHe doesגְדֹלוֹתge/do/LOTgreat thingsוְלֹאve/LOand notנֵדָע׃ne/DAwe comprehend

   God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.

   כִּיkiforלַשֶּׁלֶגlash/SHE/legto the snowיֹאמַרyo/MARHe saysהֱוֵא־אָרֶץhe/VE-A/retsfall on the earthוְגֶשֶׁםve/GE/shemand to the shower ofמָטָרma/TARrainוְגֶשֶׁםve/GE/shemand the shower ofמִטְרוֹתmit/ROTrains ofעֻזּוֹ׃uz/ZOHis might

   For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

   בְּיַד־כׇּל־אָדָםbe/YAD-kol-a/DAMthe hand of every manיַחְתּוֹםyach/TOMHe sealsלָדַעַתla/DA/atthat may knowכׇּל־אַנְשֵׁיkol-an/SHEall men ofמַעֲשֵׂהוּ׃ma/a/SE/huHis making

   He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.

8. 8

   וַתָּבוֹאvat/ta/VOand goחַיָּהchay/YAthe beastsבְמוֹ־אָרֶבve/MO-A/revinto their lairsוּבִמְעוֹנֹתֶיהָu/vim/o/no/TE/haand in their densתִשְׁכֹּן׃tish/KONthey remain

   Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.

   מִן־הַחֶדֶרmin-ha/CHE/derfrom the chamberתָּבוֹאta/VOcomesסוּפָהsu/FAthe stormוּמִמְּזָרִיםu/mim/me/za/RIMand from the scattering windsקָרָה׃ka/RAcold

   Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.

    מִנִּשְׁמַת־אֵלmin/nish/MAT-elby the breath of Godיִתֶּן־קָרַחyit/TEN-KA/rachice is givenוְרֹחַבve/RO/chavand the breadth ofמַיִםMA/yimthe watersבְּמוּצָק׃be/mu/TSAKis frozen

    By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.

11. 11

    אַף־בְּרִיaf-be/RIalso with moistureיַטְרִיחַyat/RI/achHe loadsעָבavthe thick cloudיָפִיץya/FITSHe scattersעֲנַןa/NANthe cloud ofאוֹרוֹ׃o/ROHis lightning

    Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:

    וְהוּאve/HUand itמְסִבּוֹתme/sib/BOTround aboutמִתְהַפֵּךְmit/hap/PEKHturnsבְּתַחְבּוּלֹתָוbe/tach/bu/lo/TAVby His guidanceלְפׇעֳלָםle/fo/o/LAMto doכֹּלkolallאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיְצַוֵּםye/tsav/VEMHe commands themעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the face ofתֵבֵלte/VELthe worldאָרְצָה׃AR/tsaon the earth

    And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.

13. 13

    אִם־לְשֵׁבֶטim-le/SHE/vetwhether for correctionאִם־לְאַרְצוֹim-le/ar/TSOor for His landאִם־לְחֶסֶדim-le/CHE/sedor for kindnessיַמְצִאֵהוּ׃yam/tsi/E/huHe makes it come

    He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

14. 14

    הַאֲזִינָהha/a/ZI/nalisten toזֹּאתzotthisאִיּוֹבIy/YOVJobעֲמֹדa/MODstandוְהִתְבּוֹנֵןve/hit/bo/NENand considerנִפְלְאוֹתnif/le/OTthe wonders ofאֵל׃elGod

    Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

15. 15

    הֲתֵדַעha/te/DAdo you knowבְּשׂוּם־אֱלוֹהַּbe/SUM-e/LO/ahwhen God laysעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themוְהֹפִיעַve/ho/FI/aand causes to shineאוֹרorthe lightning ofעֲנָנוֹ׃a/na/NOHis cloud

    Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?

16. 16

    הֲתֵדַעha/te/DAdo you knowעַל־מִפְלְשֵׂי־עָבal-mif/le/SE-avthe balancings of the cloudsמִפְלְאוֹתmif/le/OTthe wondrous works ofתְּמִיםte/MIMperfect inדֵּעִים׃de/IMknowledge

    Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?

17. 17

    אֲשֶׁר־בְּגָדֶיךָa/SHER-be/ga/DE/khayou whose garmentsחַמִּיםcham/MIMare warmבְּהַשְׁקִטbe/hash/KITwhen is stillאֶרֶץE/retsthe earthמִדָּרוֹם׃mid/da/ROMby the south wind

    How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?

18. 18

    תַּרְקִיעַtar/KI/acan you spread outעִמּוֹim/MOwith Himלִשְׁחָקִיםlish/cha/KIMthe skyחֲזָקִיםcha/za/KIMstrongכִּרְאִיkir/Ias a mirrorמוּצָק׃mu/TSAKcast

    Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?

19. 19

    הוֹדִיעֵנוּho/di/e/NUmake known to usמַה־נֹּאמַרma-NO/marwhat we shall sayלוֹloto Himלֹא־נַעֲרֹךְlo-na/a/ROKHwe cannot set in orderמִפְּנֵי־חֹשֶׁךְ׃mip/pe/NE-CHO/shekhbecause of darkness

    Teach us what we shall say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.

20. 20

    הַיְסֻפַּר־לוֹhay/sup/PAR-loshall it be told Himכִּיkithatאֲדַבֵּרa/dab/BERI speakאִם־אָמַרim-A/marif saysאִישׁisha manכִּיkiifיְבֻלָּע׃ye/vul/LAhe would be swallowed up

    Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man speak, surely he shall be swallowed up.

21. 21

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowלֹא־רָאוּlo-ra/Umen cannot look onאוֹרorlightבָּהִירba/HIRbrightהוּאhuit isבַּשְּׁחָקִיםbash/she/cha/KIMin the skiesוְרוּחַve/RU/achwhen the windעָבְרָהa/ve/RAhas passedוַתְּטַהֲרֵם׃vat/te/ta/ha/REMand cleanses them

    And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.

22. 22

    מִצָּפוֹןmits/tsa/FONfrom the northזָהָבza/HAVgolden splendorיֶאֱתֶהye/e/TEcomesעַל־אֱלוֹהַּal-e/LO/ahupon God isנוֹרָאno/RAawesomeהוֹד׃hodmajesty

    Fair weather cometh out of the north: with God is terrible majesty.

23. 23

    שַׁדַּיShad/DAYthe Almightyלֹא־מְצָאנֻהוּlo-me/tsa/nu/HUwe cannot find Himשַׂגִּיא־כֹחַsag/GI-KHO/achHe is great in powerוּמִשְׁפָּטu/mish/PATand in justiceוְרֹב־צְדָקָהve/ROV-tse/da/KAand abundant righteousnessלֹאlonotיְעַנֶּה׃ye/an/NEHe will afflict

    Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.

24. 24

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeיְרֵאוּהוּye/re/U/huthey fear Himאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenלֹא־יִרְאֶהlo-yir/EHe does not regardכׇּל־חַכְמֵי־לֵב׃kol-chakh/ME-levany who are wise of heart

    Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.
