   Against Moab thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Woe unto Nebo! for it is spoiled: Kiriathaim is confounded and taken: Misgab is confounded and dismayed.

   אֵיןennoעוֹדodmoreתְּהִלַּתte/hil/LATis the praise ofמוֹאָבMo/AVMoabבְּחֶשְׁבּוֹןbe/Chesh/BONin Heshbonחָשְׁבוּcha/she/VUthey have devisedעָלֶיהָa/LE/haagainst herרָעָהra/Aevilלְכוּle/KHUgoוְנַכְרִיתֶנָּהve/nakh/ri/TEN/naand let us cut her offמִגּוֹיmig/GOYfrom being a nationגַּם־מַדְמֵןgam-Mad/MENyou also O Madmenתִּדֹּמִּיtid/DOM/miwill be silencedאַחֲרַיִךְa/cha/RA/yikhafter youתֵּלֶךְTE/lekhwill goחָרֶב׃CHA/revthe sword

   There shall be no more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a nation. Also thou shalt be cut down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue thee.

   A voice of crying shall be from Horonaim, spoiling and great destruction.

   נִשְׁבְּרָהnish/be/RAis brokenמוֹאָבMo/AVMoabהִשְׁמִיעוּhish/MI/uhave made heardזְּעָקָהze/a/KAa cry[צְעִירֶיהָ]׃tse/i/RE/haher little ones

   Moab is destroyed; her little ones have caused a cry to be heard.

   כִּיkiforמַעֲלֵהma/a/LEby the ascent of(הלחות)halachavat[הַלֻּחִית]Hal/lu/CHITLuhithבִּבְכִיbiv/KHIwith weepingיַעֲלֶה־בֶּכִיya/a/LE-BE/khiweeping goes upכִּיkiforבְּמוֹרַדbe/mo/RADin the descent ofחוֹרֹנַיִםCho/ro/NA/yimHoronaimצָרֵיtsa/REthe adversariesצַעֲקַת־שֶׁבֶרtsa/a/KAT-SHE/vera cry of destructionשָׁמֵעוּ׃sha/ME/uhave heard

   For in the going up of Luhith continual weeping shall go up; for in the going down of Horonaim the enemies have heard a cry of destruction.

   נֻסוּNU/sufleeמַלְּטוּmal/le/TUsaveנַפְשְׁכֶםnaf/she/KHEMyour livesוְתִהְיֶינָהve/tih/YE/naand beכַּעֲרוֹעֵרka/a/ro/ERlike a shrubבַּמִּדְבָּר׃bam/mid/BARin the wilderness

   Flee, save your lives, and be like the heath in the wilderness.

   כִּיkiforיַעַןYA/anbecauseבִּטְחֵךְbit/CHEKHyou have trustedבְּמַעֲשַׂיִךְbe/ma/a/SA/yikhin your worksוּבְאוֹצְרוֹתַיִךְu/ve/ots/ro/TA/yikhand in your treasuresגַּם־אַתְּgam-attyou alsoתִּלָּכֵדִיtil/la/KHE/diwill be takenוְיָצָאve/ya/TSAand will go(כמיש)khamayash[כְמוֹשׁ]Khe/MOSHChemoshבַּגּוֹלָהbag/go/LAinto exileכֹּהֲנָיוko/ha/NAYVhis priestsוְשָׂרָיוve/sa/RAYVand his princes(יחד)yachad[יַחְדָּיו]׃yach/DAYVtogether

   For because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou shalt also be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity with his priests and his princes together.

   וְיָבֹאve/ya/VOand shall comeשֹׁדֵדsho/DEDthe destroyerאֶל־כׇּל־עִירel-kol-iron every cityוְעִירve/IRand a cityלֹאlonotתִמָּלֵטtim/ma/LETwill escapeוְאָבַדve/a/VADand will perishהָעֵמֶקha/E/mekthe valleyוְנִשְׁמַדve/nish/MADand shall be destroyedהַמִּישֹׁרham/mi/SHORthe plainאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasאָמַרa/MARhas saidיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   And the spoiler shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape: the valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed, as the LORD hath spoken.

   תְּנוּ־צִיץte/NU-tsitsgive wingsלְמוֹאָבle/Mo/AVto Moabכִּיkiforנָצֹאna/TSOgo outתֵּצֵאte/TSEshe will go outוְעָרֶיהָve/a/RE/haand its citiesלְשַׁמָּהle/sham/MAa desolationתִהְיֶינָהtih/YE/nawill becomeמֵאֵיןme/ENwithoutיוֹשֵׁבyo/SHEVinhabitantבָּהֵן׃ba/HENin them

   Give wings unto Moab, that it may flee and get away: for the cities thereof shall be desolate, without any to dwell therein.

    אָרוּרa/RURcursed isעֹשֶׂהo/SEhe who doesמְלֶאכֶתme/LE/khetthe work ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDרְמִיָּהre/miy/YAdeceitfullyוְאָרוּרve/a/RURand cursedמֹנֵעַMO/ne/ahe who keeps backחַרְבּוֹchar/BOhis swordמִדָּם׃mid/DAMfrom blood

    Cursed be he that doeth the work of the LORD deceitfully, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood.

    שַׁאֲנַןsha/a/NANhas been at easeמוֹאָבMo/AVMoabמִנְּעוּרָיוmin/ne/u/RAYVfrom its youthוְשֹׁקֵטve/sho/KETand he has settledהוּאhuheאֶל־שְׁמָרָיוel-she/ma/RAYVon his leesוְלֹא־הוּרַקve/LO-hu/RAKand has not been emptiedמִכְּלִיmik/ke/LIfrom vesselאֶל־כֶּלִיel-KE/lito a vesselוּבַגּוֹלָהu/vag/go/LAinto exileלֹאlonotהָלָךְha/LAKHhas he goneעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeעָמַדa/MADremainsטַעְמוֹta/MOhis tasteבּוֹboin itוְרֵיחוֹve/re/CHOand his scentלֹאlonotנָמָר׃na/MARis changed

    Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lees, and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed.

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeהִנֵּה־יָמִיםhin/NE-ya/MIMbehold the daysבָּאִיםba/IMare comingנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDוְשִׁלַּחְתִּי־לוֹve/shil/lach/TI-lowhen I will send himצֹעִיםtso/IMpourersוְצֵעֻהוּve/tse/U/huwho will pour himוְכֵלָיוve/khe/LAYVand his vesselsיָרִיקוּya/RI/kuwill emptyוְנִבְלֵיהֶםve/niv/le/HEMand their jarsיְנַפֵּצוּ׃ye/nap/PE/tsuthey will smash

    Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will send unto him wanderers, that shall cause him to wander, and shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles.

13. 13

    וּבֹשׁu/VOSHand will be ashamedמוֹאָבMo/AVMoabמִכְּמוֹשׁmik/Ke/MOSHfrom Chemoshכַּאֲשֶׁר־בֹּשׁוּka/a/SHER-BO/shuas were ashamedבֵּיתbetthe house ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelמִבֵּיתmib/BETof Beth-אֵלelelמִבְטֶחָם׃miv/te/CHAMtheir trust

    And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Beth-el their confidence.

    אֵיךְekhhowתֹּאמְרוּto/me/RUcan you sayגִּבּוֹרִיםgib/bo/RIMwe are mightyאֲנָחְנוּa/NACH/nuweוְאַנְשֵׁי־חַיִלve/an/SHE-CHA/yiland men of strengthלַמִּלְחָמָה׃lam/mil/cha/MAfor war

    How say ye, We are mighty and strong men for the war?

15. 15

    שֻׁדַּדshud/DADis laid wasteמוֹאָבMo/AVMoabוְעָרֶיהָve/a/RE/haand her citiesעָלָהa/LAthey have gone upוּמִבְחַרu/miv/CHARand the choicest ofבַּחוּרָיוba/chu/RAYVits young menיָרְדוּya/re/DUhave gone downלַטָּבַחlat/TA/vachto the slaughterנְאֻם־הַמֶּלֶךְne/UM-ham/ME/lekhsays the kingיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsשְׁמוֹ׃she/MOis His name

    Moab is spoiled, and gone up out of her cities, and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts.

16. 16

    קָרוֹבka/ROVnear isאֵיד־מוֹאָבed-Mo/AVthe calamity of Moabלָבוֹאla/VOto comeוְרָעָתוֹve/ra/a/TOand his afflictionמִהֲרָהmi/ha/RAhastensמְאֹד׃me/ODfast

    The calamity of Moab is near to come, and his affliction hasteth fast.

    נֻדוּNU/dugrieveלוֹlofor himכׇּל־סְבִיבָיוkol-se/vi/VAYVall those around himוְכֹלve/KHOLand allיֹדְעֵיyod/Ewho knowשְׁמוֹshe/MOhis nameאִמְרוּim/RUsayאֵיכָהe/KHAhowנִשְׁבַּרnish/BARis brokenמַטֵּה־עֹזmat/TE-ozthe staff of strengthמַקֵּלmak/KELthe rod ofתִּפְאָרָה׃tif/a/RAsplendor

    All ye that are about him, bemoan him; and all ye that know his name, say, How is the strong staff broken, and the beautiful rod!

18. 18

    רְדִיre/DIgo downמִכָּבוֹדmik/ka/VODfrom honor(ישבי)yashavay[וּשְׁבִי]u/she/VIand sitבַצָּמָאvats/tsa/MAin thirstיֹשֶׁבֶתyo/SHE/vetO inhabitantבַּת־דִּיבוֹןbat-Di/VONdaughter of Dibonכִּי־שֹׁדֵדki-sho/DEDfor the destroyer ofמוֹאָבMo/AVMoabעָלָהa/LAhas come upבָךְvakhagainst youשִׁחֵתshi/CHEThe has destroyedמִבְצָרָיִךְ׃miv/tsa/RA/yikhyour strongholds

    Thou daughter that dost inhabit Dibon, come down from thy glory, and sit in thirst; for the spoiler of Moab shall come upon thee, and he shall destroy thy strong holds.

19. 19

    אֶל־דֶּרֶךְel-DE/rekhby the wayעִמְדִיim/DIstandוְצַפִּיve/tsap/PIand watchיוֹשֶׁבֶתyo/SHE/vetO inhabitant ofעֲרוֹעֵרA/ro/ERAroerשַׁאֲלִי־נָסsha/a/LI-nasask him who fleesוְנִמְלָטָהve/nim/LA/taand her who escapesאִמְרִיim/RIsayמַה־נִּהְיָתָה׃ma-nih/YA/tawhat has happened

    O inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and espy; ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth, and say, What is done?

20. 20

    הֹבִישׁho/VISHis put to shameמוֹאָבMo/AVMoabכִּי־חַתָּהki-CHAT/tafor it is broken(היליליhayalayalayוזעקי)vazkay[הֵילִילוּhe/LI/luwailוּזְעָקוּ]u/ze/A/kuand cryהַגִּידוּhag/GI/dutell itבְאַרְנוֹןve/Ar/NONby the Arnonכִּיkithatשֻׁדַּדshud/DADis laid wasteמוֹאָב׃Mo/AVMoab

    Moab is confounded; for it is broken down: howl and cry; tell ye it in Arnon, that Moab is spoiled,

    וּמִשְׁפָּטu/mish/PATand judgmentבָּאbahas comeאֶל־אֶרֶץel-E/retson the land ofהַמִּישֹׁרham/mi/SHORthe plainאֶל־חֹלוֹןel-Cho/LONon Holonוְאֶל־יַהְצָהve/EL-YAH/tsaand on Jahzahוְעַל־(מופעת)ve/AL-mavaftand on[מֵיפָעַת]׃Me/FA/atMephaath

    And judgment is come upon the plain country; upon Holon, and upon Jahazah, and upon Mephaath,

22. 22

    וְעַל־דִּיבוֹןve/AL-di/VONand upon Dibonוְעַל־נְבוֹve/AL-ne/VOand upon Neboוְעַל־בֵּיתve/AL-betand upon Beth-דִּבְלָתָיִם׃div/la/TA/yimdiblathaim

    And upon Dibon, and upon Nebo, and upon Beth-diblathaim,

23. 23

    וְעַלve/ALand uponקִרְיָתַיִםKir/ya/TA/yimKirjathaimוְעַל־בֵּיתve/AL-betand upon Beth-גָּמוּלga/MULgamulוְעַל־בֵּיתve/AL-betand upon Beth-מְעוֹן׃me/ONmeon

    And upon Kiriathaim, and upon Beth-gamul, and upon Beth-meon,

24. 24

    וְעַל־קְרִיּוֹתve/AL-ke/riy/YOTand upon Keriothוְעַל־בׇּצְרָהve/AL-bots/RAand upon Bozrahוְעַלve/ALand uponכׇּל־עָרֵיkol-a/REall the cities ofאֶרֶץE/retsthe land ofמוֹאָבMo/AVMoabהָרְחֹקוֹתha/re/cho/KOTthe farוְהַקְּרֹבוֹת׃ve/hak/ke/ro/VOTand the near

    And upon Kerioth, and upon Bozrah, and upon all the cities of the land of Moab, far or near.

25. 25

    נִגְדְּעָהnig/de/Ais cut offקֶרֶןKE/renthe horn ofמוֹאָבMo/AVMoabוּזְרֹעוֹu/ze/ro/Oand his armנִשְׁבָּרָהnish/ba/RAis brokenנְאֻםne/UMsaysיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, saith the LORD.

26. 26

    הַשְׁכִּירֻהוּhash/ki/RU/humake him drunkכִּיkiforעַל־יְהֹוָהal-Adonaiagainst the LORDהִגְדִּילhig/DILhe magnified himselfוְסָפַקve/sa/FAKso will wallowמוֹאָבMo/AVMoabבְּקִיאוֹbe/ki/Oin his vomitוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand he will beלִשְׂחֹקlis/CHOKa laughingstockגַּם־הוּא׃gam-huhe too

    Make ye him drunken: for he magnified himself against the LORD: Moab also shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision.

27. 27

    וְאִםve/IMand ifלוֹאlonotהַשְּׂחֹקhas/se/CHOKa laughingstockהָיָהha/YAwasלְךָle/KHAto youיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאִם־בְּגַנָּבִיםim-be/gan/na/VIMwas he found among thieves(נמצאה)namatsh[נִמְצָא]nim/TSAfoundכִּי־מִדֵּיki-mid/DEfor as often asדְבָרֶיךָde/va/RE/khayou speakבּוֹboof himתִּתְנוֹדָד׃tit/no/DADyou shake your head

    For was not Israel a derision unto thee? was he found among thieves? for since thou spakest of him, thou skippedst for joy.

28. 28

    עִזְבוּiz/VUabandonעָרִיםa/RIMthe citiesוְשִׁכְנוּve/shikh/NUand dwellבַסֶּלַעvas/SE/lain the rocksיֹשְׁבֵיyosh/VEO inhabitants ofמוֹאָבMo/AVMoabוִהְיוּvih/YUand beכְיוֹנָהkhe/yo/NAlike a doveתְּקַנֵּןte/kan/NENthat nestsבְּעֶבְרֵיbe/ev/REin the sides ofפִי־פָחַת׃fi-FA/chatthe mouth of a gorge

    O ye that dwell in Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock, and be like the dove that maketh her nest in the sides of the hole's mouth.

29. 29

    שָׁמַעְנוּsha/MA/nuwe heardגְאוֹן־מוֹאָבge/ON-Mo/AVof the pride of Moabגֵּאֶהge/Ehe is proudמְאֹדme/ODveryגׇּבְהוֹgov/HOhis loftinessוּגְאוֹנוֹu/ge/o/NOand its prideוְגַאֲוָתוֹve/ga/a/va/TOand his arroganceוְרֻםve/RUMand the loftiness ofלִבּוֹ׃lib/BOhis heart

    We have heard the pride of Moab, (he is exceeding proud) his loftiness, and his arrogancy, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart.

30. 30

    אֲנִיa/NIIיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDעֶבְרָתוֹev/ra/TOhis insolenceוְלֹא־כֵןve/LO-khenbut it is not soבַּדָּיוbad/DAYVhis boastsלֹא־כֵןlo-khennot soעָשׂוּ׃a/SUhave they done

    I know his wrath, saith the LORD; but it shall not be so; his lies shall not so effect it.

31. 31

    עַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeעַל־מוֹאָבal-Mo/AVfor Moabאֲיֵלִילa/ye/LILI will wailוּלְמוֹאָבu/Le/mo/AVand for Moabכֻּלֹּהkul/LOall ofאֶזְעָקez/AKI will cry outאֶל־אַנְשֵׁיel-an/SHEfor the men ofקִיר־חֶרֶשׂKir-CHE/resKir-heresיֶהְגֶּה׃yeh/GEone will mourn

    Therefore will I howl for Moab, and I will cry out for all Moab; mine heart shall mourn for the men of Kir-heres.

32. 32

    מִבְּכִיmib/be/KHImore than the weeping forיַעְזֵרYa/ZERJazerאֶבְכֶּה־לָּךְev/KE-lakhI will weep for youהַגֶּפֶןhag/GE/fenO vine ofשִׂבְמָהSiv/MASibmahנְטִישֹׁתַיִךְne/ti/sho/TA/yikhyour tendrilsעָבְרוּa/ve/RUhave passed overיָםyamthe seaעַדadtoיָםyamthe seaיַעְזֵרYa/ZERJazerנָגָעוּna/GA/uthey reachedעַל־קֵיצֵךְal-ke/TSEKHon your summer fruitוְעַל־בְּצִירֵךְve/AL-be/tsi/REKHand on your vintageשֹׁדֵדsho/DEDa destroyerנָפָל׃na/FALhas fallen

    O vine of Sibmah, I will weep for thee with the weeping of Jazer: thy plants are gone over the sea, they reach even to the sea of Jazer: the spoiler is fallen upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage.

33. 33

    וְנֶאֶסְפָהve/ne/es/FAand is taken awayשִׂמְחָהsim/CHAgladnessוָגִילva/GILand joyמִכַּרְמֶלmik/kar/MELfrom the fruitful fieldוּמֵאֶרֶץu/me/E/retsand from the land ofמוֹאָבMo/AVMoabוְיַיִןve/YA/yinand wineמִיקָבִיםmi/ka/VIMfrom wine pressesהִשְׁבַּתִּיhish/BAT/tiI have caused to ceaseלֹא־יִדְרֹךְlo-yid/ROKHno one will treadהֵידָדhe/DADwith shoutingהֵידָדhe/DADthe shoutingלֹאlonotהֵידָד׃he/DADshouting

    And joy and gladness is taken from the plentiful field, and from the land of Moab; and I have caused wine to fail from the winepresses: none shall tread with shouting; their shouting shall be no shouting.

    מִזַּעֲקַתmiz/za/a/KATfrom the cry ofחֶשְׁבּוֹןChesh/BONHeshbonעַד־אֶלְעָלֵהad-El/a/LEto Elealehעַד־יַהַץad-YA/hatsto Jahazנָתְנוּna/te/NUthey utterקוֹלָםko/LAMtheir voiceמִצֹּעַרmits/TSO/arfrom Zoarעַד־חֹרֹנַיִםad-Cho/ro/NA/yimto HoronaimעֶגְלַתEg/LATEglath-שְׁלִשִׁיָּהshe/li/shiy/YAshelishiyahכִּיkiforגַּם־מֵיgam-meeven the waters ofנִמְרִיםNim/RIMNimrimלִמְשַׁמּוֹתlim/sham/MOTdesolateיִהְיוּ׃yih/YUshall be

    From the cry of Heshbon even unto Elealeh, and even unto Jahaz, have they uttered their voice, from Zoar even unto Horonaim, as an heifer of three years old: for the waters also of Nimrim shall be desolate.

35. 35

    וְהִשְׁבַּתִּיve/hish/bat/TIand I will cause to ceaseלְמוֹאָבle/Mo/AVin Moabנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDמַעֲלֶהma/a/LEhim who offersבָמָהva/MAat the high placeוּמַקְטִירu/mak/TIRand burns incenseלֵאלֹהָיו׃le/lo/HAYVto his gods

    Moreover I will cause to cease in Moab, saith the LORD, him that offereth in the high places, and him that burneth incense to his gods.

36. 36

    עַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeלִבִּיlib/BImy heartלְמוֹאָבle/Mo/AVfor Moabכַּחֲלִלִיםka/cha/li/LIMlike flutesיֶהֱמֶהye/he/MEwailsוְלִבִּיve/lib/BIand my heartאֶל־אַנְשֵׁיel-an/SHEfor the men ofקִיר־חֶרֶשׂKir-CHE/resKir-heresכַּחֲלִילִיםka/cha/li/LIMlike flutesיֶהֱמֶהye/he/MEwailsעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeיִתְרַתyit/RATthe richesעָשָׂהa/SAhe gainedאָבָדוּ׃a/VA/duhave perished

    Therefore mine heart shall sound for Moab like pipes, and mine heart shall sound like pipes for the men of Kir-heres: because the riches that he hath gotten are perished.

    כִּיkiforכׇל־רֹאשׁkhol-roshevery headקׇרְחָהkor/CHAis baldוְכׇל־זָקָןve/KHOL-za/KANand every beardגְּרֻעָהge/ru/Ais clippedעַלalonכׇּל־יָדַיִםkol-ya/DA/yimall handsגְּדֻדֹתge/du/DOTare cutsוְעַל־מׇתְנַיִםve/AL-mot/NA/yimand on the loinsשָׂק׃saksackcloth

    For every head shall be bald, and every beard clipped: upon all the hands shall be cuttings, and upon the loins sackcloth.

38. 38

    There shall be lamentation generally upon all the housetops of Moab, and in the streets thereof: for I have broken Moab like a vessel wherein is no pleasure, saith the LORD.

39. 39

    אֵיךְekhhowחַתָּהCHAT/tait is brokenהֵילִילוּhe/LI/luthey wailאֵיךְekhhowהִפְנָה־עֹרֶףhif/NA-O/refhas turned the backמוֹאָבMo/AVMoabבּוֹשׁboshashamedוְהָיָהve/ha/YAso will beמוֹאָבMo/AVMoabלִשְׂחֹקlis/CHOKa laughingstockוְלִמְחִתָּהve/lim/chit/TAand a terrorלְכׇל־סְבִיבָיו׃le/KHOL-se/vi/VAYVto all those around him

    They shall howl, saying, How is it broken down! how hath Moab turned the back with shame! so shall Moab be a derision and a dismaying to all them about him.

40. 40

    כִּי־כֹהki-khofor thusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdכַנֶּשֶׁרkhan/NE/sherlike the eagleיִדְאֶהyid/Ehe will swoopוּפָרַשׂu/fa/RASand spreadכְּנָפָיוke/na/FAYVhis wingsאֶל־מוֹאָב׃el-Mo/AVover Moab

    For thus saith the LORD; Behold, he shall fly as an eagle, and shall spread his wings over Moab.

41. 41

    נִלְכְּדָהnil/ke/DAis takenהַקְּרִיּוֹתHak/ke/riy/YOTKeriothוְהַמְּצָדוֹתve/ham/me/tsa/DOTand the strongholdsנִתְפָּשָׂהnit/PA/saare seizedוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand will beלֵבlevthe heart ofגִּבּוֹרֵיgib/bo/REthe mighty men ofמוֹאָבMo/AVMoabבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatכְּלֵבke/LEVlike the heart ofאִשָּׁהish/SHAa womanמְצֵרָה׃me/tse/RAin labor

    Kerioth is taken, and the strong holds are surprised, and the mighty men's hearts in Moab at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.

42. 42

    וְנִשְׁמַדve/nish/MADand shall be destroyedמוֹאָבMo/AVMoabמֵעָםme/AMfrom being a peopleכִּיkibecauseעַל־יְהֹוָהal-Adonaiagainst the LORDהִגְדִּיל׃hig/DILhe magnified himself

    And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he hath magnified himself against the LORD.

43. 43

    פַּחַדPA/chadterrorוָפַחַתva/FA/chatand the pitוָפָחva/FACHand the snareעָלֶיךָa/LE/khaare upon youיוֹשֵׁבyo/SHEVO inhabitant ofמוֹאָבMo/AVMoabנְאֻם־יְהֹוָה׃ne/UM-Adonaisays the LORD

    Fear, and the pit, and the snare, shall be upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith the LORD.

44. 44

    (הניס)hanayas[הַנָּס]han/NAShe that fleesמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEfromהַפַּחַדhap/PA/chadthe terrorיִפֹּלyip/POLwill fallאֶל־הַפַּחַתel-hap/PA/chatinto the pitוְהָעֹלֶהve/ha/o/LEand he who climbsמִן־הַפַּחַתmin-hap/PA/chatfrom the pitיִלָּכֵדyil/la/KHEDhe will be caughtבַּפָּחbap/PACHin the snareכִּי־אָבִיאki-a/VIfor I will bringאֵלֶיהָe/LE/haon herאֶל־מוֹאָבel-Mo/AVon Moabשְׁנַתshe/NATthe year ofפְּקֻדָּתָםpe/kud/da/TAMtheir punishmentנְאֻם־יְהֹוָה׃ne/UM-Adonaisays the LORD

    He that fleeth from the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that getteth up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring upon it, even upon Moab, the year of their visitation, saith the LORD.

45. 45

    בְּצֵלbe/TSELin the shadow ofחֶשְׁבּוֹןChesh/BONHeshbonעָמְדוּa/me/DUstandמִכֹּחַmik/KO/achwithout strengthנָסִיםna/SIMfugitivesכִּי־אֵשׁki-eshfor a fireיָצָאya/TSAhas gone outמֵחֶשְׁבּוֹןme/Chesh/BONfrom Heshbonוְלֶהָבָהve/le/ha/VAand flameמִבֵּיןmib/BENfrom the midst ofסִיחוֹןSi/CHONSihonוַתֹּאכַלvat/TO/khaland has devouredפְּאַתpe/ATthe corner ofמוֹאָבMo/AVMoabוְקׇדְקֹדve/kod/KODand the crown ofבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofשָׁאוֹן׃sha/ONtumult

    They that fled stood under the shadow of Heshbon because of the force: but a fire shall come forth out of Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and shall devour the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones.

46. 46

    אוֹי־לְךָoy-le/KHAwoe to youמוֹאָבMo/AVO Moabאָבַדa/VADis perishingעַם־כְּמוֹשׁam-Ke/MOSHthe people of Chemoshכִּי־לֻקְּחוּki-luk/ke/CHUfor are takenבָנֶיךָva/NE/khayour sonsבַּשֶּׁבִיbash/SHE/vicaptiveוּבְנֹתֶיךָu/ve/no/TE/khaand your daughtersבַּשִּׁבְיָה׃bash/shiv/YAinto captivity

    Woe be unto thee, O Moab! the people of Chemosh perisheth: for thy sons are taken captives, and thy daughters captives.

47. 47

    וְשַׁבְתִּיve/shav/TIyet I will turn backשְׁבוּת־מוֹאָבshe/VUT-Mo/AVthe captivity of Moabבְּאַחֲרִיתbe/a/cha/RITin the latter part ofהַיָּמִיםhay/ya/MIMthe daysנְאֻם־יְהֹוָהne/UM-Adonaisays the LORDעַד־הֵנָּהad-HEN/nathus farמִשְׁפַּטmish/PATis the judgment ofמוֹאָב׃Mo/AVMoab

    Yet will I bring again the captivity of Moab in the latter days, saith the LORD. Thus far is the judgment of Moab.
