   וַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand they cameשְׁנֵיshe/NEtwoהַמַּלְאָכִיםham/mal/a/KHIMthe angelsסְדֹמָהSe/DO/mato Sodomבָּעֶרֶבba/E/revin the eveningוְלוֹטve/LOTand Lotיֹשֵׁבyo/SHEVsatבְּשַׁעַר־סְדֹםbe/SHA/ar-se/DOMin the gate of Sodomוַיַּרְא־לוֹטvay/YAR-lotand Lot sawוַיָּקׇםvay/YA/komand rose upלִקְרָאתָםlik/ra/TAMto meet themוַיִּשְׁתַּחוּvay/yish/TA/chuand he bowed himselfאַפַּיִםap/PA/yimwith his faceאָרְצָה׃AR/tsatoward the ground

   And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidהִנֶּהhin/NEbeholdנָּא־אֲדֹנַיna-a/do/NAYnow my lordsסוּרוּSU/ruturn inנָאnaI prayאֶל־בֵּיתel-betinto the house ofעַבְדְּכֶםav/de/KHEMyour servantוְלִינוּve/LI/nuand tarry all nightוְרַחֲצוּve/ra/cha/TSUand washרַגְלֵיכֶםrag/le/KHEMyour feetוְהִשְׁכַּמְתֶּםve/hish/kam/TEMand you shall rise earlyוַהֲלַכְתֶּםva/ha/lakh/TEMand goלְדַרְכְּכֶםle/dar/ke/KHEMon your waysוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidלֹּאlonayכִּיkibutבָרְחוֹבva/re/CHOVin the streetנָלִין׃na/LINwe will abide all night

   And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.

   וַיִּפְצַר־בָּםvay/yif/TSAR-bamand he pressed upon themמְאֹדme/ODgreatlyוַיָּסֻרוּvay/ya/SU/ruand they turned inאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himוַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand they cameאֶל־בֵּיתוֹel-be/TOto his houseוַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand he madeלָהֶםla/HEMfor themמִשְׁתֶּהmish/TEa feastוּמַצּוֹתu/mats/TSOTand unleavened breadאָפָהa/FAhe bakedוַיֹּאכֵלוּ׃vay/yo/KHE/luand they ate

   And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.

   But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:

   וַיִּקְרְאוּvay/yik/re/Uand they calledאֶל־לוֹטel-Lotto Lotוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidלוֹloto himאַיֵּהay/YEwhere isהָאֲנָשִׁיםha/a/na/SHIMthe menאֲשֶׁר־בָּאוּa/SHER-BA/uwhich came inאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youהַלָּיְלָהhal/LAY/lathis nightהוֹצִיאֵםho/tsi/EMbring them outאֵלֵינוּe/LE/nuto usוְנֵדְעָהve/ned/Athat we may knowאֹתָם׃o/TAMthem

   And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.

   וַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand went outאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themלוֹטLotLotהַפֶּתְחָהhap/PET/chaat the doorוְהַדֶּלֶתve/had/DE/letand the doorסָגַרsa/GARhe shutאַחֲרָיו׃a/cha/RAYVafter him

   And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,

   וַיֹּאמַרvay/yo/MARand saidאַל־נָאal-nanot I prayאַחַיa/CHAYmy brethrenתָּרֵעוּ׃ta/RE/udo so wickedly

   And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.

8. 8

   הִנֵּה־נָאhin/NE-nabehold nowלִיliI haveשְׁתֵּיshtetwoבָנוֹתva/NOTdaughtersאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹא־יָדְעוּlo-ya/de/Uhave not knownאִישׁisha manאוֹצִיאָה־נָּאo/tsi/A-nalet me bring out I prayאֶתְהֶןet/HENthemאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youוַעֲשׂוּva/a/SUand doלָהֶןla/HENto themכַּטּוֹבkat/TOVas is goodבְּעֵינֵיכֶםbe/e/ne/KHEMin your eyesרַקrakonlyלָאֲנָשִׁיםla/a/na/SHIMto menהָאֵלha/ELtheseאַל־תַּעֲשׂוּal-ta/a/SUdo not doדָבָרda/VARanythingכִּי־עַל־כֵּןki-al-kenfor thereforeבָּאוּBA/ucame theyבְּצֵלbe/TSELunder the shadow ofקֹרָתִי׃ko/ra/TImy roof

   Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.

   וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidגֶּשׁ־הָלְאָהgesh-HAL/astand backוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidהָאֶחָדha/e/CHADthe oneבָּא־לָגוּרba-la/GURcame in to sojournוַיִּשְׁפֹּטvay/yish/POTand he will judgeשָׁפוֹטsha/FOTjudgeעַתָּהat/TAnowנָרַעna/RAwill we deal worseלְךָle/KHAwith youמֵהֶםme/HEMthan with themוַיִּפְצְרוּvay/yif/tse/RUand they pressed sore uponבָאִישׁva/ISHthe manבְּלוֹטBe/LOTLotמְאֹדme/ODgreatlyוַיִּגְּשׁוּvay/yig/ge/SHUand came nearלִשְׁבֹּרlish/BORto breakהַדָּלֶת׃had/DA/letthe door

   And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.

    וַיִּשְׁלְחוּvay/yish/le/CHUbut put forthהָאֲנָשִׁיםha/a/na/SHIMthe menאֶת־יָדָםet-ya/DAMtheir handוַיָּבִיאוּvay/ya/VI/uand pulledאֶת־לוֹטet-LotLotאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMto themהַבָּיְתָהhab/BAY/tainto the houseוְאֶת־הַדֶּלֶתve/ET-had/DE/letand the doorסָגָרוּ׃sa/GA/ruthey shut

    But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.

    וְאֶת־הָאֲנָשִׁיםve/ET-ha/a/na/SHIMand the menאֲשֶׁר־פֶּתַחa/SHER-PE/tachthat were at the door ofהַבַּיִתhab/BA/yitthe houseהִכּוּhik/KUthey smoteבַּסַּנְוֵרִיםbas/san/ve/RIMwith blindnessמִקָּטֹןmik/ka/TONboth smallוְעַד־גָּדוֹלve/AD-ga/DOLand greatוַיִּלְאוּvay/yil/Uso that they wearied themselvesלִמְצֹאlim/TSOto findהַפָּתַח׃hap/PA/tachthe door

    And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.

    וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand saidהָאֲנָשִׁיםha/a/na/SHIMthe menאֶל־לוֹטel-Lotto Lotעֹדodbesidesמִי־לְךָmi-le/KHAwho have youפֹהfohereחָתָןcha/TANson-in-lawוּבָנֶיךָu/va/NE/khaand your sonsוּבְנֹתֶיךָu/ve/no/TE/khaand your daughtersוְכֹלve/KHOLand allאֲשֶׁר־לְךָa/SHER-le/KHAthat you haveבָּעִירba/IRin the cityהוֹצֵאho/TSEbring outמִן־הַמָּקוֹם׃min-ham/ma/KOMout of the place

    And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:

13. 13

    כִּי־מַשְׁחִתִיםki-mash/chi/TIMfor will destroyאֲנַחְנוּa/NACH/nuweאֶת־הַמָּקוֹםet-ham/ma/KOMthe placeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisכִּי־גָדְלָהki-ga/de/LAbecause is waxen greatצַעֲקָתָםtsa/a/ka/TAMtheir cryאֶת־פְּנֵיet-pe/NEbefore the face ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDוַיְשַׁלְּחֵנוּvay/shal/le/CHE/nuand has sent usיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלְשַׁחֲתָהּ׃le/sha/cha/TAto destroy it

    For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.

14. 14

    וַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand went outלוֹטLotLotוַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand spokeאֶל־חֲתָנָיוel-cha/ta/NAYVto his sons-in-lawלֹקְחֵיlok/CHEwho marriedבְנֹתָיוve/no/TAYVhis daughtersוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidקוּמוּKU/muariseצְּאוּtse/Uget outמִן־הַמָּקוֹםmin-ham/ma/KOMfrom the placeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisכִּי־מַשְׁחִיתki-mash/CHITfor will destroyיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־הָעִירet-ha/IRthe cityוַיְהִיvay/HIbut he wasכִמְצַחֵקkhim/tsa/CHEKas one that mockedבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofחֲתָנָיו׃cha/ta/NAYVhis sons-in-law

    And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.

    וּכְמוֹu/khe/MOand whenהַשַּׁחַרhash/SHA/charthe dawnעָלָהa/LAaroseוַיָּאִיצוּvay/ya/I/tsuthen hastenedהַמַּלְאָכִיםham/mal/a/KHIMthe angelsבְּלוֹטBe/LOTLotלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingקוּםkumariseקַחkachtakeאֶת־אִשְׁתְּךָet-ish/te/KHAyour wifeוְאֶת־שְׁתֵּיve/ET-shteand your twoבְנֹתֶיךָve/no/TE/khayour daughtersהַנִּמְצָאֹתhan/nim/tsa/OTwhich are hereפֶּן־תִּסָּפֶהpen-tis/sa/FElest you be consumedבַּעֲוֺןba/a/VONin the iniquity ofהָעִיר׃ha/IRthe city

    And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.

    וַיִּתְמַהְמָהּvay/yit/mah/MAand he lingeredוַיַּחֲזִיקוּvay/ya/cha/ZI/kuand laid holdהָאֲנָשִׁיםha/a/na/SHIMthe menבְּיָדוֹbe/ya/DOupon his handוּבְיַד־אִשְׁתּוֹu/ve/YAD-ish/TOand upon the hand of his wifeוּבְיַדu/ve/YADand upon the hand ofשְׁתֵּיshtetwoבְנֹתָיוve/no/TAYVhis daughtersבְּחֶמְלַתbe/chem/LATin the mercy ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעָלָיוa/LAYVupon himוַיֹּצִאֻהוּvay/yo/tsi/U/huand they brought him forthוַיַּנִּחֻהוּvay/yan/ni/CHU/huand set himמִחוּץmi/CHUTSwithoutלָעִיר׃la/IRthe city

    And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passכְהוֹצִיאָםkhe/ho/tsi/AMwhen they had brought forthאֹתָםo/TAMthemהַחוּצָהha/CHU/tsaabroadוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidהִמָּלֵטhim/ma/LETescapeעַל־נַפְשֶׁךָal-naf/SHE/khafor your lifeאַל־תַּבִּיטal-tab/BITlook notאַחֲרֶיךָa/cha/RE/khabehind youוְאַל־תַּעֲמֹדve/AL-ta/a/MODneither stayבְּכׇל־הַכִּכָּרbe/KHOL-hak/kik/KARin all the plainהָהָרָהha/HA/rato the mountainהִמָּלֵטhim/ma/LETescapeפֶּן־תִּסָּפֶה׃pen-tis/sa/FElest you be consumed

    And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלוֹטLotLotאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themאַל־נָאal-nanot so I prayאֲדֹנָי׃a/do/NAYO Lord

    And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord:

19. 19

    הִנֵּה־נָאhin/NE-nabehold I prayמָצָאma/TSAhas foundעַבְדְּךָav/de/KHAyour servantחֵןchenfavorבְּעֵינֶיךָbe/e/NE/khain your eyesוַתַּגְדֵּלvat/tag/DELand you have magnifiedחַסְדְּךָchas/de/KHAyour mercyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichעָשִׂיתָa/SI/tayou didעִמָּדִיim/ma/DIto meלְהַחֲיוֹתle/ha/cha/YOTin saving aliveאֶת־נַפְשִׁיet-naf/SHImy soulוְאָנֹכִיve/a/no/KHIand Iלֹאlonotאוּכַלu/KHALcanלְהִמָּלֵטle/him/ma/LETto escapeהָהָרָהha/HA/rato the mountainפֶּן־תִּדְבָּקַנִיpen-tid/ba/KA/nilest overtake meהָרָעָהha/ra/Athe evilוָמַתִּי׃va/MAT/tiand I die

    Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:

    הִנֵּה־נָאhin/NE-nabehold nowהָעִירha/IRthe cityהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisקְרֹבָהke/ro/VAis nearלָנוּסla/NUSto fleeשָׁמָּהSHAM/mathereוְהִואve/HIVand it isמִצְעָרmits/ARa little oneאִמָּלְטָהim/MAL/talet me escapeנָּאnanowשָׁמָּהSHAM/mathereהֲלֹאha/LOis it notמִצְעָרmits/ARa little oneהִואhivitוּתְחִיu/te/CHIand shall liveנַפְשִׁי׃naf/SHImy soul

    Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.

21. 21

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdנָשָׂאתִיna/SA/tiI have acceptedפָנֶיךָfa/NE/khayour faceגַּםgamalsoלַדָּבָרlad/da/VARconcerning the thingהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIthat notהׇפְכִּיhof/KII will overthrowאֶת־הָעִירet-ha/IRthe cityאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichדִּבַּרְתָּ׃dib/BAR/tayou have spoken

    And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.

    מַהֵרma/HERhasteהִמָּלֵטhim/ma/LETescapeשָׁמָּהSHAM/mathereכִּיkiforלֹאlonotאוּכַלu/KHALI canלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doדָּבָרda/VARanythingעַד־בֹּאֲךָad-bo/a/KHAtill you comeשָׁמָּהSHAM/mathereעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeקָרָאka/RAwas calledשֵׁם־הָעִירshem-ha/IRthe name of the cityצוֹעַר׃TSO/arZoar

    Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.

    הַשֶּׁמֶשׁhash/SHE/meshthe sunיָצָאya/TSAwas risenעַל־הָאָרֶץal-ha/A/retsupon the earthוְלוֹטve/LOTand Lotבָּאbaenteredצֹעֲרָה׃TSO/a/rainto Zoar

    The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.

24. 24

    וַיהֹוָהve-Adonaiand the LORDהִמְטִירhim/TIRrainedעַל־סְדֹםal-Se/DOMupon Sodomוְעַל־עֲמֹרָהve/AL-a/mo/RAand upon Gomorrahגׇּפְרִיתgof/RITbrimstoneוָאֵשׁva/ESHand fireמֵאֵתme/ETfromיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDמִן־הַשָּׁמָיִם׃min-hash/sha/MA/yimout of heaven

    Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;

25. 25

    וַיַּהֲפֹךְvay/ya/ha/FOKHand He overthrewאֶת־הֶעָרִיםet-he/a/RIMthe citiesהָאֵלha/ELtheseוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־הַכִּכָּרkol-hak/kik/KARall the plainוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־יֹשְׁבֵיkol-yosh/VEall the inhabitants ofהֶעָרִיםhe/a/RIMthe citiesוְצֶמַחve/TSE/machand the growth ofהָאֲדָמָה׃ha/a/da/MAthe ground

    And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.

26. 26

    וַתַּבֵּטvat/tab/BETbut looked backאִשְׁתּוֹish/TOhis wifeמֵאַחֲרָיוme/a/cha/RAYVfrom behind himוַתְּהִיvat/te/HIand she becameנְצִיבne/TSIVa pillar ofמֶלַח׃ME/lachsalt

    But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

    וַיַּשְׁכֵּםvay/yash/KEMand got up earlyאַבְרָהָםAv/ra/HAMAbrahamבַּבֹּקֶרbab/BO/kerin the morningאֶל־הַמָּקוֹםel-ham/ma/KOMto the placeאֲשֶׁר־עָמַדa/SHER-A/madwhere he had stoodשָׁםshamthereאֶת־פְּנֵיet-pe/NEbeforeיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD:

28. 28

    וַיַּשְׁקֵףvay/yash/KEFand he lookedעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEupon the face ofסְדֹםSe/DOMSodomוַעֲמֹרָהva/A/mo/RAand Gomorrahוְעַל־כׇּל־פְּנֵיve/AL-kol-pe/NEand toward all the face ofאֶרֶץE/retsthe land ofהַכִּכָּרhak/kik/KARthe plainוַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdעָלָהa/LAwent upקִיטֹרki/TORthe smoke ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthכְּקִיטֹרke/ki/TORas the smoke ofהַכִּבְשָׁן׃hak/kiv/SHANa furnace

    And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבְּשַׁחֵתbe/sha/CHETwhen destroyedאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶת־עָרֵיet-a/REthe cities ofהַכִּכָּרhak/kik/KARthe plainוַיִּזְכֹּרvay/yiz/KORand rememberedאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶת־אַבְרָהָםet-Av/ra/HAMAbrahamוַיְשַׁלַּחvay/shal/LACHand sentאֶת־לוֹטet-LotLotמִתּוֹךְmit/TOKHfrom the midst ofהַהֲפֵכָהha/ha/fe/KHAthe overthrowבַּהֲפֹךְba/ha/FOKHwhen He overthrewאֶת־הֶעָרִיםet-he/a/RIMthe citiesאֲשֶׁר־יָשַׁבa/SHER-ya/SHAVwhich dweltבָּהֵןba/HENin themלוֹט׃LotLot

    And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.

30. 30

    וַיַּעַלvay/YA/aland went upלוֹטLotLotמִצּוֹעַרmits/TSO/arfrom Zoarוַיֵּשֶׁבvay/YE/shevand he dweltבָּהָרba/HARin the mountainוּשְׁתֵּיush/TEand twoבְנֹתָיוve/no/TAYVhis daughtersעִמּוֹim/MOwith himכִּיkiforיָרֵאya/REhe fearedלָשֶׁבֶתla/SHE/vetto dwellבְּצוֹעַרbe/TSO/arin Zoarוַיֵּשֶׁבvay/YE/shevand he dweltבַּמְּעָרָהbam/me/a/RAin the caveהוּאhuheוּשְׁתֵּיush/TEand twoבְנֹתָיו׃ve/no/TAYVhis daughters

    And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.

    וַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidהַבְּכִירָהhab/be/khi/RAthe firstbornאֶל־הַצְּעִירָהel-hats/tse/i/RAto the youngerאָבִינוּa/VI/nuour fatherזָקֵןza/KENis oldוְאִישׁve/ISHand a manאֵיןenthere is notבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the landלָבוֹאla/VOto come inעָלֵינוּa/LE/nuto usכְּדֶרֶךְke/DE/rekhafter the manner ofכׇּל־הָאָרֶץ׃kol-ha/A/retsall the earth

    And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:

32. 32

    לְכָהle/KHAcomeנַשְׁקֶהnash/KElet us make drinkאֶת־אָבִינוּet-a/VI/nuour fatherיַיִןYA/yinwineוְנִשְׁכְּבָהve/nish/ke/VAand we will lieעִמּוֹim/MOwith himוּנְחַיֶּהu/ne/chay/YEthat we may preserveמֵאָבִינוּme/a/VI/nufrom our fatherזָרַע׃ZA/raseed

    Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.

33. 33

    וַתַּשְׁקֶיןָvat/tash/KE/naand they made drinkאֶת־אֲבִיהֶןet-a/vi/HENtheir fatherיַיִןYA/yinwineבַּלַּיְלָהbal/LAY/lain the nightהוּאhuthatוַתָּבֹאvat/ta/VOand went inהַבְּכִירָהhab/be/khi/RAthe firstbornוַתִּשְׁכַּבvat/tish/KAVand layאֶת־אָבִיהָet-a/VI/hawith her fatherוְלֹא־יָדַעve/LO-ya/DAand he knew notבְּשִׁכְבָהּbe/shikh/VAwhen she lay downוּבְקוּׄמָהּ׃u/ve/ku/MAand when she arose

    And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.

34. 34

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passמִמׇּחֳרָתmim/mo/cho/RATon the morrowוַתֹּאמֶרvat/TO/merand saidהַבְּכִירָהhab/be/khi/RAthe firstbornאֶל־הַצְּעִירָהel-hats/tse/i/RAto the youngerהֵן־שָׁכַבְתִּיhen-sha/KHAV/tibehold I layאֶמֶשׁE/meshlast nightאֶת־אָבִיet-a/VImy fatherנַשְׁקֶנּוּnash/KEN/nulet us make him drinkיַיִןYA/yinwineגַּם־הַלַּיְלָהgam-hal/LAY/lathis night alsoוּבֹאִיu/VO/iand go inשִׁכְבִיshikh/VIlieעִמּוֹim/MOwith himוּנְחַיֶּהu/ne/chay/YEthat we may preserveמֵאָבִינוּme/a/VI/nufrom our fatherזָרַע׃ZA/raseed

    And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.

35. 35

    וַתַּשְׁקֶיןָvat/tash/KE/naand they made drinkגַּםgamalsoבַּלַּיְלָהbal/LAY/lain the nightהַהוּאha/HUthatאֶת־אֲבִיהֶןet-a/vi/HENtheir fatherיָיִןYA/yinwineוַתָּקׇםvat/TA/komand aroseהַצְּעִירָהhats/tse/i/RAthe youngerוַתִּשְׁכַּבvat/tish/KAVand layעִמּוֹim/MOwith himוְלֹא־יָדַעve/LO-ya/DAand he knew notבְּשִׁכְבָהּbe/shikh/VAwhen she lay downוּבְקֻמָהּ׃u/ve/ku/MAand when she arose

    And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.

36. 36

    וַתַּהֲרֶיןָvat/ta/ha/RE/naand they conceivedשְׁתֵּיshtetwoבְנוֹת־לוֹטve/NOT-lotdaughters of Lotמֵאֲבִיהֶן׃me/a/vi/HENby their father

    Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father.

37. 37

    וַתֵּלֶדvat/TE/ledand boreהַבְּכִירָהhab/be/khi/RAthe firstbornבֵּןbena sonוַתִּקְרָאvat/tik/RAand she calledשְׁמוֹshe/MOhis nameמוֹאָבMo/AVMoabהוּאhuhe isאֲבִי־מוֹאָבa/VI-Mo/AVthe father of Moabעַד־הַיּוֹם׃ad-hay/YOMunto this day

    And the firstborn bare a son, and called his name Moab: the same is the father of the Moabites unto this day.

38. 38

    וְהַצְּעִירָהve/hats/tse/i/RAand the youngerגַם־הִואgam-hivalso sheיָלְדָהya/le/DAboreבֵּןbena sonוַתִּקְרָאvat/tik/RAand she calledשְׁמוֹshe/MOhis nameבֶּן־עַמִּיben-Am/MIBen-ammiהוּאhuhe isאֲבִיa/VIthe father ofבְנֵי־עַמּוֹןve/NE-am/MONthe children of Ammonעַד־הַיּוֹם׃ad-hay/YOMunto this day

    And the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Ben-ammi: the same is the father of the children of Ammon unto this day.
