   In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

   And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

   And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

   And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

   And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

   And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

   And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

   And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

   And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

    And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

    And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

    And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

    And the evening and the morning were the third day.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodיְהִיye/HIlet there beמְאֹרֹתme/o/ROTlightsבִּרְקִיעַbir/KI/ain the firmament ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensלְהַבְדִּילle/hav/DILto divideבֵּיןbenbetweenהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayוּבֵיןu/VENand betweenהַלָּיְלָהhal/LAY/lathe nightוְהָיוּve/ha/YUand let them beלְאֹתֹתle/o/TOTfor signsוּלְמוֹעֲדִיםu/le/mo/a/DIMand for seasonsוּלְיָמִיםu/le/ya/MIMand for daysוְשָׁנִים׃ve/sha/NIMand years

    And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

15. 15

    וְהָיוּve/ha/YUand let them beלִמְאוֹרֹתlim/o/ROTfor lightsבִּרְקִיעַbir/KI/ain the firmament ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensלְהָאִירle/ha/IRto shineעַל־הָאָרֶץal-ha/A/retsupon the earthוַיְהִי־כֵן׃vay/HI-khenand it was so

    And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

16. 16

    וַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand madeאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶת־שְׁנֵיet-she/NEthe twoהַמְּאֹרֹתham/me/o/ROTlightsהַגְּדֹלִיםhag/ge/do/LIMthe greatאֶת־הַמָאוֹרet-ha/ma/ORthe lightהַגָּדֹלhag/ga/DOLthe greaterלְמֶמְשֶׁלֶתle/mem/SHE/letto ruleהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayוְאֶת־הַמָּאוֹרve/ET-ham/ma/ORand the lightהַקָּטֹןhak/ka/TONthe lesserלְמֶמְשֶׁלֶתle/mem/SHE/letto ruleהַלַּיְלָהhal/LAY/lathe nightוְאֵתve/ETandהַכּוֹכָבִים׃hak/ko/kha/VIMthe stars

    And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

17. 17

    וַיִּתֵּןvay/yit/TENand setאֹתָםo/TAMthemאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodבִּרְקִיעַbir/KI/ain the firmament ofהַשָּׁמָיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensלְהָאִירle/ha/IRto shineעַל־הָאָרֶץ׃al-ha/A/retsupon the earth

    And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

18. 18

    וְלִמְשֹׁלve/lim/SHOLand to ruleבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMover the dayוּבַלַּיְלָהu/val/LAY/laand over the nightוּלְהַבְדִּילu/le/hav/DILand to divideבֵּיןbenbetweenהָאוֹרha/ORthe lightוּבֵיןu/VENand betweenהַחֹשֶׁךְha/CHO/shekhthe darknessוַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodכִּי־טוֹב׃ki-tovthat it was good

    And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

19. 19

    וַיְהִי־עֶרֶבvay/HI-E/revand there was eveningוַיְהִי־בֹקֶרvay/HI-VO/kerand there was morningיוֹםyomdayרְבִיעִי׃re/vi/Ithe fourth

    And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

20. 20

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodיִשְׁרְצוּyish/re/TSUlet swarmהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe watersשֶׁרֶץSHE/retswith swarms ofנֶפֶשׁNE/feshcreaturesחַיָּהchay/YAlivingוְעוֹףve/OFand birdsיְעוֹפֵףye/o/FEFlet flyעַל־הָאָרֶץal-ha/A/retsabove the earthעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEacross the face ofרְקִיעַre/KI/athe firmament ofהַשָּׁמָיִם׃hash/sha/MA/yimthe heavens

    And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

21. 21

    וַיִּבְרָאvay/yiv/RAand createdאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶת־הַתַּנִּינִםet-hat/tan/ni/NIMthe sea monstersהַגְּדֹלִיםhag/ge/do/LIMthe greatוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־נֶפֶשׁkol-NE/feshevery creatureהַחַיָּהha/chay/YAlivingהָרֹמֶשֶׂתha/ro/ME/setthat movesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwith whichשָׁרְצוּsha/re/TSUswarmedהַמַּיִםham/MA/yimthe watersלְמִינֵהֶםle/mi/ne/HEMaccording to their kindsוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־עוֹףkol-ofevery birdכָּנָףka/NAFwingedלְמִינֵהוle/mi/NEHVaccording to its kindוַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodכִּי־טוֹב׃ki-tovthat it was good

    And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

22. 22

    וַיְבָרֶךְvay/VA/rekhand blessedאֹתָםo/TAMthemאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingפְּרוּpe/RUbe fruitfulוּרְבוּu/re/VUand multiplyוּמִלְאוּu/mil/Uand fillאֶת־הַמַּיִםet-ham/MA/yimthe watersבַּיַּמִּיםbay/yam/MIMin the seasוְהָעוֹףve/ha/OFand the birdsיִרֶבyi/REVlet multiplyבָּאָרֶץ׃ba/A/retson the earth

    And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

23. 23

    וַיְהִי־עֶרֶבvay/HI-E/revand there was eveningוַיְהִי־בֹקֶרvay/HI-VO/kerand there was morningיוֹםyomdayחֲמִישִׁי׃cha/mi/SHIthe fifth

    And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodתּוֹצֵאto/TSElet bring forthהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthנֶפֶשׁNE/feshcreaturesחַיָּהchay/YAlivingלְמִינָהּle/mi/NAaccording to its kindבְּהֵמָהbe/he/MAlivestockוָרֶמֶשׂva/RE/mesand creeping thingוְחַיְתוֹ־אֶרֶץve/chay/TO-E/retsand beast of the earthלְמִינָהּle/mi/NAaccording to its kindוַיְהִי־כֵן׃vay/HI-khenand it was so

    And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

25. 25

    וַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand madeאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶת־חַיַּתet-chay/YATthe beast ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthלְמִינָהּle/mi/NAaccording to its kindוְאֶת־הַבְּהֵמָהve/ET-hab/be/he/MAand the livestockלְמִינָהּle/mi/NAaccording to its kindוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־רֶמֶשׂkol-RE/mesevery creeping thing ofהָאֲדָמָהha/a/da/MAthe groundלְמִינֵהוּle/mi/NE/huaccording to its kindוַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodכִּי־טוֹב׃ki-tovthat it was good

    And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodנַעֲשֶׂהna/a/SElet us makeאָדָםa/DAMmanבְּצַלְמֵנוּbe/tsal/ME/nuin our imageכִּדְמוּתֵנוּkid/mu/TE/nuafter our likenessוְיִרְדּוּve/yir/DUand let them ruleבִדְגַתvid/GATover the fish ofהַיָּםhay/YAMthe seaוּבְעוֹףu/ve/OFand over the birds ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe airוּבַבְּהֵמָהu/vab/be/he/MAand over the livestockוּבְכׇל־הָאָרֶץu/ve/KHOL-ha/A/retsand over all the earthוּבְכׇל־הָרֶמֶשׂu/ve/KHOL-ha/RE/mesand over every creeping thingהָרֹמֵשׂha/ro/MESthat creepsעַל־הָאָרֶץ׃al-ha/A/retson the earth

    And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

    וַיִּבְרָאvay/yiv/RAand createdאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶת־הָאָדָםet-ha/a/DAMmanבְּצַלְמוֹbe/tsal/MOin His imageבְּצֶלֶםbe/TSE/lemin the image ofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodבָּרָאba/RAHe createdאֹתוֹo/TOhimזָכָרza/KHARmaleוּנְקֵבָהu/ne/ke/VAand femaleבָּרָאba/RAHe createdאֹתָם׃o/TAMthem

    So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

    And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI have givenלָכֶםla/KHEMto youאֶת־כׇּל־עֵשֶׂבet-kol-E/sevevery herbזֹרֵעַzo/RE/ayieldingזֶרַעZE/raseedאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich isעַל־פְּנֵיal-pe/NEon the face ofכׇל־הָאָרֶץkhol-ha/A/retsall the earthוְאֶת־כׇּל־הָעֵץve/ET-kol-ha/ETSand every treeאֲשֶׁר־בּוֹa/SHER-boin which isפְרִי־עֵץfe/RI-etsfruit of a treeזֹרֵעַzo/RE/ayieldingזָרַעZA/raseedלָכֶםla/KHEMto youיִהְיֶהyih/YEit shall beלְאׇכְלָה׃le/okh/LAfor food

    And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

    וּלְכׇל־חַיַּתu/le/KHOL-chay/YATand to every beast ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthוּלְכׇל־עוֹףu/le/KHOL-ofand to every bird ofהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe airוּלְכֹלu/le/KHOLand to everythingרוֹמֵשׂro/MESthat creepsעַל־הָאָרֶץal-ha/A/retsupon the earthאֲשֶׁר־בּוֹa/SHER-bowhich has in itנֶפֶשׁNE/fesha soulחַיָּהchay/YAlivingאֶת־כׇּל־יֶרֶקet-kol-YE/rekevery greenעֵשֶׂבE/sevherbלְאׇכְלָהle/okh/LAfor foodוַיְהִ־כֵן׃vay/HI-khenand it was so

    And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

    And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
