   וּמֹשֶׁהu/Mo/SHEand Mosesהָיָהha/YAwasרֹעֶהro/Etendingאֶת־צֹאןet-tsonthe flock ofיִתְרוֹYit/ROJethroחֹתְנוֹchot/NOhis father-in-lawכֹּהֵןko/HENpriest ofמִדְיָןMid/YANMidianוַיִּנְהַגvay/yin/HAGand he ledאֶת־הַצֹּאןet-hats/TSONthe flockאַחַרa/CHARto the far side ofהַמִּדְבָּרham/mid/BARthe wildernessוַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameאֶל־הַרel-harto the mountain ofהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodחֹרֵבָה׃Cho/RE/vato Horeb

   Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.

   וַיֵּרָאvay/ye/RAand appearedמַלְאַךְmal/AKHthe angel ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himבְּלַבַּת־אֵשׁbe/lab/BAT-eshin a flame of fireמִתּוֹךְmit/TOKHout of the midst ofהַסְּנֶהhas/se/NEthe bushוַיַּרְאvay/YARand he lookedוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdהַסְּנֶהhas/se/NEthe bushבֹּעֵרbo/ERburnedבָּאֵשׁba/ESHwith fireוְהַסְּנֶהve/has/se/NEand the bushאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nuwas notאֻכָּל׃uk/KALconsumed

   And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאָסֻרָה־נָּאa/su/RA-nalet me turn aside nowוְאֶרְאֶהve/er/Eand seeאֶת־הַמַּרְאֶהet-ham/mar/Ethe sightהַגָּדֹלhag/ga/DOLgreatהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisמַדּוּעַmad/DU/awhyלֹא־יִבְעַרlo-yiv/ARis not burntהַסְּנֶה׃has/se/NEthe bush

   And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.

   וַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDכִּיkithatסָרsarhe turned asideלִרְאוֹתlir/OTto seeוַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand calledאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodמתּוֹךְmtokhout of the midst ofהַסְּנֶהhas/se/NEthe bushוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidהִנֵּנִי׃hin/NE/nihere am I

   And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאַל־תִּקְרַבal-tik/RAVdraw not nearהֲלֹםha/LOMhitherשַׁל־נְעָלֶיךָshal-ne/a/LE/khaput off your shoesמֵעַלme/ALfromרַגְלֶיךָrag/LE/khayour feetכִּיkiforהַמָּקוֹםham/ma/KOMthe placeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאַתָּהat/TAyouעוֹמֵדo/MEDstandעָלָיוa/LAYVon itאַדְמַת־קֹדֶשׁad/MAT-KO/deshholy groundהוּא׃huis

   And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאָנֹכִיa/no/KHII amאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofאָבִיךָa/VI/khayour fatherאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofאַבְרָהָםAv/ra/HAMAbrahamאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofיִצְחָקYits/CHAKIsaacוֵאלֹהֵיve/lo/HEand the God ofיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobוַיַּסְתֵּרvay/yas/TERand hidמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesפָּנָיוpa/NAYVhis faceכִּיkiforיָרֵאya/REhe was afraidמֵהַבִּיטme/hab/BITto lookאֶל־הָאֱלֹהִים׃el-ha/e/lo/HIMupon God

   Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDרָאֹהra/Oseeרָאִיתִיra/I/tiI have seenאֶת־עֳנִיet-o/NIthe affliction ofעַמִּיam/MImy peopleאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho areבְּמִצְרָיִםbe/Mits/RA/yimin Egyptוְאֶת־צַעֲקָתָםve/ET-tsa/a/ka/TAMand their cryשָׁמַעְתִּיsha/MA/tiI have heardמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEby reason ofנֹגְשָׂיוnog/SAYVtheir taskmastersכִּיkiforיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowאֶת־מַכְאֹבָיו׃et-makh/o/VAYVtheir sorrows

   And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

   And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

   וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdצַעֲקַתtsa/a/KATthe cry ofבְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלbe/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelבָּאָהba/Ais comeאֵלָיe/LAYto meוְגַם־רָאִיתִיve/GAM-ra/I/tiand I have also seenאֶת־הַלַּחַץet-hal/LA/chatsthe oppressionאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimthe Egyptiansלֹחֲצִיםlo/cha/TSIMoppressאֹתָם׃o/TAMthem

   Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.

10. 10

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowלְכָהle/KHAcomeוְאֶשְׁלָחֲךָve/esh/la/cha/KHAand I will send youאֶל־פַּרְעֹהel-Par/Oto Pharaohוְהוֹצֵאve/ho/TSEand bring outאֶת־עַמִּיet-am/MImy peopleבְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵלve/NE-yis/ra/ELthe children of Israelמִמִּצְרָיִם׃mim/Mits/RA/yimout of Egypt

    Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶל־הָאֱלֹהִיםel-ha/e/lo/HIMto Godמִיmiwho amאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIכִּיkithatאֵלֵךְe/LEKHI should goאֶל־פַּרְעֹהel-Par/Oto Pharaohוְכִיve/KHIand thatאוֹצִיאo/TSII should bring outאֶת־בְּנֵיet-be/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelמִמִּצְרָיִם׃mim/Mits/RA/yimout of Egypt

    And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?

12. 12

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidכִּי־אֶהְיֶהki-eh/YEcertainly I will beעִמָּךְim/MAKHwith youוְזֶה־לְּךָve/ZE-le/KHAand this shall be to youהָאוֹתha/OTthe signכִּיkithatאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIשְׁלַחְתִּיךָshe/lach/TI/khahave sent youבְּהוֹצִיאֲךָbe/ho/tsi/a/KHAwhen you have brought outאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleמִמִּצְרַיִםmim/Mits/RA/yimout of Egyptתַּעַבְדוּןta/av/DUNyou shall serveאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִיםet-ha/e/lo/HIMGodעַלaluponהָהָרha/HARthe mountainהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.

13. 13

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶל־הָאֱלֹהִיםel-ha/e/lo/HIMto Godהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIבָאvacomeאֶל־בְּנֵיel-be/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְאָמַרְתִּיve/a/mar/TIand I will sayלָהֶםla/HEMto themאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofאֲבוֹתֵיכֶםa/vo/te/KHEMyour fathersשְׁלָחַנִיshe/la/CHA/nisent meאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youוְאָמְרוּ־לִיve/a/me/RU-liand they shall say to meמַה־שְּׁמוֹma-she/MOwhat is His nameמָהmawhatאֹמַרo/MARshall I sayאֲלֵהֶם׃a/le/HEMto them

    And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?

14. 14

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesאֶהְיֶהeh/YEI SHALL BEאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasאֶהְיֶהeh/YEI SHALL BEוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidכֹּהkothusתֹאמַרto/MARyou shall sayלִבְנֵיliv/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאֶהְיֶהeh/YEI SHALL BEשְׁלָחַנִיshe/la/CHA/nisent meאֲלֵיכֶם׃a/le/KHEMto you

    And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidעוֹדodmoreoverאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesכֹּה־תֹאמַרko-to/MARthus shall you sayאֶל־בְּנֵיel-be/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofאֲבֹתֵיכֶםa/vo/te/KHEMyour fathersאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofאַבְרָהָםAv/ra/HAMAbrahamאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofיִצְחָקYits/CHAKIsaacוֵאלֹהֵיve/lo/HEand the God ofיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobשְׁלָחַנִיshe/la/CHA/nisent meאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youזֶה־שְּׁמִיze-she/MIthis is my nameלְעֹלָםle/o/LAMfor everוְזֶהve/ZEand thisזִכְרִיzikh/RImy memorialלְדֹרle/DORto a generationדֹּר׃dorgeneration

    And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.

    לֵךְlekhgoוְאָסַפְתָּve/a/saf/TAand gatherאֶת־זִקְנֵיet-zik/NEthe elders ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְאָמַרְתָּve/a/mar/TAand sayאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofאֲבֹתֵיכֶםa/vo/te/KHEMyour fathersנִרְאָהnir/Aappearedאֵלַיe/LAYto meאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofאַבְרָהָםAv/ra/HAMAbrahamיִצְחָקYits/CHAKIsaacוְיַעֲקֹבve/Ya/a/KOVand Jacobלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingפָּקֹדpa/KODvisitפָּקַדְתִּיpa/KAD/tiI have visitedאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouוְאֶת־הֶעָשׂוּיve/ET-he/a/SUYand that which is doneלָכֶםla/KHEMto youבְּמִצְרָיִם׃be/Mits/RA/yimin Egypt

    Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt:

    וָאֹמַרva/o/MARand I have saidאַעֲלֶהa/a/LEI will bring upאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouמֵעֳנִיme/o/NIout of the affliction ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptאֶל־אֶרֶץel-E/retsto the land ofהַכְּנַעֲנִיhak/Ke/na/a/NIthe Canaaniteוְהַחִתִּיve/ha/Chit/TIand the Hittiteוְהָאֱמֹרִיve/Ha/e/mo/RIand the Amoriteוְהַפְּרִזִּיve/hap/Pe/riz/ZIand the Perizziteוְהַחִוִּיve/ha/Chiv/VIand the HiviteוְהַיְבוּסִיVe/hay/vu/SIand the Jebusiteאֶל־אֶרֶץel-E/retsto a landזָבַתza/VATflowing withחָלָבcha/LAVmilkוּדְבָשׁ׃u/de/VASHand honey

    And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey.

    וְשָׁמְעוּve/sha/me/Uand they shall hearkenלְקֹלֶךָle/ko/LE/khato your voiceוּבָאתָu/VA/taand you shall comeאַתָּהat/TAyouוְזִקְנֵיve/zik/NEand the elders ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelאֶל־מֶלֶךְel-ME/lekhto the king ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוַאֲמַרְתֶּםva/a/mar/TEMand you shall sayאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofהָעִבְרִיִּיםha/Iv/riy/YIMthe Hebrewsנִקְרָהnik/RAhas metעָלֵינוּa/LE/nuwith usוְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowנֵלְכָה־נָּאnel/KHA-nalet us go we prayדֶּרֶךְDE/rekha journey ofשְׁלֹשֶׁתshe/LO/shetthreeיָמִיםya/MIMdaysבַּמִּדְבָּרbam/mid/BARin the wildernessוְנִזְבְּחָהve/niz/be/CHAthat we may sacrificeלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDאֱלֹהֵינוּ׃e/lo/HE/nuour God

    And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.

19. 19

    וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowכִּיkithatלֹא־יִתֵּןlo-yit/TENwill not letאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouמֶלֶךְME/lekhthe king ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptלַהֲלֹךְla/ha/LOKHgoוְלֹאve/LOand notבְּיָדbe/YADby a handחֲזָקָה׃cha/za/KAmighty

    And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.

20. 20

    וְשָׁלַחְתִּיve/sha/lach/TIand I will stretch outאֶת־יָדִיet-ya/DImy handוְהִכֵּיתִיve/hik/ke/TIand smiteאֶת־מִצְרַיִםet-Mits/RA/yimEgyptבְּכֹלbe/KHOLwith allנִפְלְאֹתַיnif/le/o/TAYmy wondersאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאֶעֱשֶׂהe/e/SEI will doבְּקִרְבּוֹbe/kir/BOin the midst of itוְאַחֲרֵי־כֵןve/a/cha/RE-khenand after thatיְשַׁלַּחye/shal/LACHhe will let goאֶתְכֶם׃et/KHEMyou

    And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go.

21. 21

    וְנָתַתִּיve/na/tat/TIand I will giveאֶת־חֵןet-chenfavorהָעָם־הַזֶּהha/AM-haz/ZEthis peopleבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyes ofמִצְרָיִםMits/RA/yimthe Egyptiansוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall come to passכִּיkithat whenתֵלֵכוּןte/le/KHUNyou goלֹאlonotתֵלְכוּtel/KHUshall you goרֵיקָם׃re/KAMempty

    And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty:

22. 22

    וְשָׁאֲלָהve/sha/a/LAbut shall askאִשָּׁהish/SHAevery womanמִשְּׁכֶנְתָּהּmish/she/khen/TAof her neighborוּמִגָּרַתu/mig/ga/RATand of her that sojourns inבֵּיתָהּbe/TAher houseכְּלֵי־כֶסֶףke/LE-KHE/sefarticles of silverוּכְלֵיu/khe/LEand articles ofזָהָבza/HAVgoldוּשְׂמָלֹתu/se/ma/LOTand raimentוְשַׂמְתֶּםve/sam/TEMand you shall put themעַל־בְּנֵיכֶםal-be/ne/KHEMon your sonsוְעַל־בְּנֹתֵיכֶםve/AL-be/no/te/KHEMand on your daughtersוְנִצַּלְתֶּםve/nits/tsal/TEMand you shall spoilאֶת־מִצְרָיִם׃et-Mits/RA/yimEgypt

    But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians.
