וַיְדַבֵּרand spokeאֱלֹהִיםGodאֵת־כׇּל־הַדְּבָרִיםall the wordsהָאֵלֶּהtheseלֵאמֹר׃saying
And God spake all these words, saying,

אָנֹכִיIיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָyour Godאֲשֶׁרwhichהוֹצֵאתִיךָhave brought you outמֵאֶרֶץfrom the land ofמִצְרַיִםEgyptמִבֵּיתfrom the house ofעֲבָדִ͏ים׃servants
I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

לֹא־יִהְיֶ͏ה־לְךָyou shall have noאֱלֹהִים־אֲחֵרִיםother godsעַל־פָּנָ͏ַי׃before Me
Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

לֹא־תַעֲשֶׂה־לְךָyou shall not make to youפֶסֶלany graven imageוְכׇל־תְּמוּנָהor any imageאֲשֶׁרwhichבַּשָּׁמַיִםin the heavensמִמַּעַלaboveוַאֲשֶׁרor thatבָּאָרֶץin the landמִתָּ͏ַחַתbeneathוַאֲשֶׁרor thatבַּמַּיִםin the waterמִתַּחַתunderלָאָרֶץ׃the earth
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

לֹא־תִשְׁתַּחֲוֶהyou shall not bow downלָהֶםto themוְלֹאand notתׇעׇבְדֵםserve themכִּיforאָנֹכִיIיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָyour Godאֵלa Godקַנָּאjealousפֹּקֵדvisitingעֲוֺןthe iniquity ofאָבֹתfathersעַל־בָּנִיםupon sonsעַל־שִׁלֵּשִׁיםupon the thirdוְעַל־רִבֵּעִיםand fourth generationלְשֹׂנְאָי׃of them that hate Me
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

וְעֹשֶׂהand showingחֶסֶדmercyלַאֲלָפִיםunto thousandsלְאֹהֲבַיof them that love Meוּלְשֹׁמְרֵיand keepמִצְוֺתָי׃My commandments
And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

לֹאnotתִשָּׂאyou shall takeאֶת־שֵׁם־יְהֹוָהname of the LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָyour Godלַשָּׁוְאin vainכִּיforלֹאnotיְנַקֶּהwill hold him guiltlessיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֵת־אֲשֶׁר־יִשָּׂאhim that takesאֶת־שְׁמוֹHis nameלַשָּׁוְא׃in vain
Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

זָכוֹרrememberאֶת־יוֹםthe day ofהַשַּׁבָּתthe sabbathלְקַדְּשׁוֹ׃to keep it holy
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

שֵׁשֶׁתsixיָמִיםdaysתַּעֲבֹדshall you serveוְעָשִׂיתָand doכׇּֿל־מְלַאכְתֶּךָ׃all your work
Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

וְיוֹםbut the dayהַשְּׁבִיעִיthe seventhשַׁבָּתSabbathלַיהֹוָהto the LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָyour Godלֹא־תַעֲשֶׂהyou shall not doכׇל־מְלָאכָהany workאַתָּהyouוּבִנְךָ͏־וּבִתֶּךָnor your son nor your daughterעַבְדְּךָyour manservantוַאֲמָתְךָnor your maidservantוּבְהֶמְתֶּךָnor your cattleוְגֵרְךָnor your strangerאֲשֶׁרwhichבִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ׃within your gates
But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

כִּיforשֵׁשֶׁת־יָמִיםsix daysעָשָׂהmadeיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶת־הַשָּׁמַיִםthe heavensוְאֶת־הָאָרֶץand the landאֶת־הַיָּםthe seaוְאֶת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁר־בָּםand all that in them isוַיָּנַחand restedבַּיּוֹםin the dayהַשְּׁבִיעִיthe seventhעַל־כֵּןthereforeבֵּרַךְblessedיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶת־יוֹםthe day ofהַשַּׁבָּתthe sabbathוַיְקַדְּשֵׁהוּ׃and sanctified it
For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

כַּבֵּדhonorאֶת־אָבִיךָyour fatherוְאֶת־אִמֶּךָand your motherלְמַעַןin order thatיַאֲרִכוּןmay be longיָמֶיךָyour daysעַלuponהָאֲדָמָהthe landאֲשֶׁר־יְהֹוָהwhich the LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָyour Godנֹתֵןgivesלָךְ׃to you
Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

לֹאnotתִּֿרְצָ͏ח׃you shall killלֹאnotתִּֿנְאָ͏ף׃you shall commit adulteryלֹאnotתִּֿגְנֹב׃you shall stealלֹא־תַעֲנֶהyou shall not bearבְרֵעֲךָagainst your neighborעֵדwitnessשָׁקֶר׃false
Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not commit adultery. Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

לֹאnotתַחְמֹדyou shall covetבֵּיתthe house ofרֵעֶךָyour neighborלֹא־תַחְמֹדyou shall not covetאֵשֶׁתthe wife ofרֵעֶךָyour neighborוְעַבְדּוֹnor his manservantוַאֲמָתוֹnor his maidservantוְשׁוֹרוֹnor his oxוַחֲמֹרוֹnor his assוְכֹלnor any thingאֲשֶׁרwhichלְרֵעֶךָ׃is your neighbor's
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

וְכׇל־הָעָםand all the peopleרֹאִיםsawאֶת־הַקּוֹלֹתthe thundersוְאֶת־הַלַּפִּידִםand the lightningsוְאֵתandקוֹלthe voice ofהַשֹּׁפָרthe ram's hornוְאֶת־הָהָרand the mountainעָשֵׁןsmokingוַיַּרְאand sawהָעָםthe peopleוַיָּנֻעוּand they removedוַיַּעַמְדוּand stoodמֵרָחֹק׃afar off
And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.

וַיֹּאמְרוּand they saidאֶל־מֹשֶׁהto Mosesדַּבֵּר־אַתָּהspeak youעִמָּנוּwith usוְנִשְׁמָעָהand we will hearוְאַל־יְדַבֵּרand let not speakעִמָּנוּwith usאֱלֹהִיםGodפֶּן־נָמוּת׃lest we die
And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.

וַיֹּאמֶרand saidמֹשֶׁהMosesאֶל־הָעָםto the peopleאַל־תִּירָאוּfear notכִּיforלְבַעֲבוּרfor toנַסּוֹתproveאֶתְכֶםyouבָּאis comeהָאֱלֹהִיםthe Godוּבַעֲבוּרand thatתִּהְיֶהshall beיִרְאָתוֹHis fearעַל־פְּנֵיכֶםbefore your facesלְבִלְתִּיto notתֶחֱטָאוּ׃you will sin
And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.

וַיַּעֲמֹדand stoodהָעָםthe peopleמֵרָחֹקafar offוּמֹשֶׁהand Mosesנִגַּשׁdrew nearאֶל־הָעֲרָפֶלto the thick darknessאֲשֶׁר־שָׁםwhereהָאֱלֹהִים׃the God
And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.

וַיֹּאמֶרand saidיְהֹוָהthe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהto Mosesכֹּהthusתֹאמַרshall you sayאֶל־בְּנֵיunto the sons ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelאַתֶּםyouרְאִיתֶםyou sawכִּיthatמִן־הַשָּׁמַיִםfrom the heavensדִּבַּרְתִּיI have talkedעִמָּכֶם׃with you
And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.

לֹאnotתַעשׂוּןyou shall makeאִתִּיwith Meאֱלֹהֵיgods ofכֶסֶףsilverוֵאלֹהֵיand gods ofזָהָבgoldלֹאnotתַעֲשׂוּshall you makeלָכֶם׃to you
Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.

מִזְבַּחthe altar ofאֲדָמָהearthתַּעֲשֶׂה־לִּיyou shall make to Meוְזָבַחְתָּand you will sacrificeעָלָיוthereonאֶת־עֹלֹתֶיךָyour burnt offeringsוְאֶת־שְׁלָמֶיךָand your peace offeringsאֶת־צֹאנְךָyour sheepוְאֶת־בְּקָרֶךָand your oxenבְּכׇל־הַמָּקוֹםin all the placeאֲשֶׁרwhichאַזְכִּירI recordאֶת־שְׁמִיMy nameאָבוֹאI will comeאֵלֶיךָto youוּבֵרַכְתִּיךָ׃and I will bless you
An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.

וְאִם־מִזְבַּחand if an altar ofאֲבָנִיםstonesתַּעֲשֶׂה־לִּיyou shall make to Meלֹא־תִבְנֶהyou shall not buildאֶתְהֶןitגָּזִיתhewn stoneכִּיforחַרְבְּךָyour toolהֵנַפְתָּyou have lifted upעָלֶיהָupon itוַתְּחַלְלֶהָ׃and you have profaned it
And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.

וְלֹא־תַעֲלֶהneither shall you go upבְמַעֲלֹתby stepsעַל־מִזְבְּחִיunto My altarאֲשֶׁרthatלֹא־תִגָּלֶהshall not be uncoveredעֶרְוָתְךָyour nakednessעָלָיו׃thereon
Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.
