   In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.

   For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.

   And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;

   Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.

   Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

   וְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand youתִּהְיוּ־לִיtih/YU-lishall be to meמַמְלֶכֶתmam/LE/kheta kingdom ofכֹּהֲנִיםko/ha/NIMpriestsוְגוֹיve/GOYand a nationקָדוֹשׁka/DOSHholyאֵלֶּהEL/letheseהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMare the wordsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתְּדַבֵּרte/dab/BERyou shall speakאֶל־בְּנֵיel-be/NEto the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

   And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

   וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesוַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand called forלְזִקְנֵיle/zik/NEthe elders ofהָעָםha/AMthe peopleוַיָּשֶׂםvay/YA/semand laidלִפְנֵיהֶםlif/ne/HEMbefore themאֵת־כׇּל־הַדְּבָרִיםet-kol-had/de/va/RIMall the wordsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichצִוָּהוּtsiv/VA/hucommanded himיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him.

   וַיַּעֲנוּvay/ya/a/NUand they answeredכׇל־הָעָםkhol-ha/AMall the peopleיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidכֹּלkolallאֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּרa/SHER-dib/BERthat has spokenיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDנַעֲשֶׂהna/a/SEwe will doוַיָּשֶׁבvay/YA/shevand returnedמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶת־דִּבְרֵיet-div/REthe words ofהָעָםha/AMthe peopleאֶל־יְהֹוָה׃el-Adonaito the LORD

   And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIבָּאbacomeאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youבְּעַבbe/AVin the thickness ofהֶעָנָןhe/a/NANthe cloudבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURthatיִשְׁמַעyish/MAmay hearהָעָםha/AMthe peopleבְּדַבְּרִיbe/dab/be/RIwhen I speakעִמָּךְim/MAKHwith youוְגַם־בְּךָve/GAM-be/KHAand also youיַאֲמִינוּya/a/MI/numay believeלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMfor everוַיַּגֵּדvay/yag/GEDand toldמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶת־דִּבְרֵיet-div/REthe words ofהָעָםha/AMthe peopleאֶל־יְהֹוָה׃el-Adonaito the LORD

   And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesלֵךְlekhgoאֶל־הָעָםel-ha/AMto the peopleוְקִדַּשְׁתָּםve/kid/dash/TAMand sanctify themהַיּוֹםhay/YOMtodayוּמָחָרu/ma/CHARand tomorrowוְכִבְּסוּve/khib/be/SUand let them washשִׂמְלֹתָם׃sim/lo/TAMtheir clothes

    And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes,

11. 11

    וְהָיוּve/ha/YUand beנְכֹנִיםne/kho/NIMreadyלַיּוֹםlay/YOMagainst the dayהַשְּׁלִישִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthe thirdכִּיkiforבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMon the dayהַשְּׁלִשִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthe thirdיֵרֵדye/REDwill come downיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלְעֵינֵיle/e/NEin the sight ofכׇל־הָעָםkhol-ha/AMall the peopleעַל־הַרal-harupon mountסִינָי׃Si/NAYSinai

    And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.

    וְהִגְבַּלְתָּve/hig/bal/TAand you shall set bounds forאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleסָבִיבsa/VIVround aboutלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingהִשָּׁמְרוּhish/sha/me/RUtake heedלָכֶםla/KHEMyourselvesעֲלוֹתa/LOTgoing upבָּהָרba/HARinto the mountוּנְגֹעַu/ne/GO/aor touchingבְּקָצֵהוּbe/ka/TSE/huthe border of itכׇּל־הַנֹּגֵעַkol-han/no/GE/awhoever touchesבָּהָרba/HARinto the mountמוֹתmotdieיוּמָת׃yu/MAThe shall be put to death

    And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death:

13. 13

    לֹא־תִגַּעlo-tig/GAshall not touchבּוֹboitיָדyada handכִּי־סָקוֹלki-sa/KOLbut stoneיִסָּקֵלyis/sa/KELhe shall be stonedאוֹ־יָרֹהo-ya/ROor shootיִיָּרֶהyiy/ya/REhe shall be shot throughאִם־בְּהֵמָהim-be/he/MAwhether beastאִם־אִישׁim-ishor manלֹאlonotיִחְיֶהyich/YEshall it liveבִּמְשֹׁךְbim/SHOKHwhen sounds longהַיֹּבֵלhay/yo/VELthe ram's hornהֵמָּהHEM/matheyיַעֲלוּya/a/LUshall come upבָהָר׃va/HARto the mount

    There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount.

    וַיֵּרֶדvay/YE/redand went downמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesמִן־הָהָרmin-ha/HARfrom the mountainאֶל־הָעָםel-ha/AMto the peopleוַיְקַדֵּשׁvay/kad/DESHand sanctifiedאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleוַיְכַבְּסוּvay/khab/be/SUand they washedשִׂמְלֹתָם׃sim/lo/TAMtheir clothes

    And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֶל־הָעָםel-ha/AMto the peopleהֱיוּhe/YUbeנְכֹנִיםne/kho/NIMreadyלִשְׁלֹשֶׁתlish/LO/shetagainst threeיָמִיםya/MIMdaysאַל־תִּגְּשׁוּal-tig/ge/SHUcome not nearאֶל־אִשָּׁה׃el-ish/SHAa woman

    And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it came to passבַיּוֹםvay/YOMon the dayהַשְּׁלִישִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthe thirdבִּהְיֹתbih/YOTwhen it wasהַבֹּקֶרhab/BO/kermorningוַיְהִיvay/HIthat there wereקֹלֹתko/LOTthundersוּבְרָקִיםu/ve/ra/KIMand lightningsוְעָנָןve/a/NANand cloudכָּבֵדka/VEDthickעַל־הָהָרal-ha/HARupon the mountainוְקֹלve/KOLand the sound ofשֹׁפָרsho/FARa ram's hornחָזָקcha/ZAKloudמְאֹדme/ODexceedinglyוַיֶּחֱרַדvay/ye/che/RADso that trembledכׇּל־הָעָםkol-ha/AMall the peopleאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wasבַּמַּחֲנֶה׃bam/ma/cha/NEin the camp

    And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.

    וַיּוֹצֵאvay/yo/TSEand brought forthמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleלִקְרַאתlik/RATto meetהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMGodמִן־הַמַּחֲנֶהmin-ham/ma/cha/NEout of the campוַיִּתְיַצְּבוּvay/yit/yats/tse/VUand they stoodבְּתַחְתִּיתbe/tach/TITat the nether part ofהָהָר׃ha/HARthe mountain

    And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.

18. 18

    וְהַרve/HARand mountסִינַיSi/NAYSinaiעָשַׁןa/SHANsmokedכֻּלּוֹkul/LOall of itמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecauseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיָרַדya/RADdescendedעָלָיוa/LAYVupon itיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDבָּאֵשׁba/ESHin fireוַיַּעַלvay/YA/aland went upעֲשָׁנוֹa/sha/NOits smokeכְּעֶשֶׁןke/E/shenlike the smoke ofהַכִּבְשָׁןhak/kiv/SHANa furnaceוַיֶּחֱרַדvay/ye/che/RADand quakedכׇּל־הָהָרkol-ha/HARall the mountainמְאֹד׃me/ODexceedingly

    And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand whenקוֹלkolthe sound ofהַשֹּׁפָרhash/sho/FARthe ram's hornהוֹלֵךְho/LEKHwent onוְחָזֵקve/cha/ZEKand grew louderמְאֹדme/ODexceedinglyמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesיְדַבֵּרye/dab/BERspokeוְהָאֱלֹהִיםve/ha/e/lo/HIMand Godיַעֲנֶנּוּya/a/NEN/nuanswered himבְקוֹל׃ve/KOLby a voice

    And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice.

    וַיֵּרֶדvay/YE/redand came downיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעַל־הַרal-harupon mountסִינַיSi/NAYSinaiאֶל־רֹאשׁel-roshto the top ofהָהָרha/HARthe mountainוַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand calledיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלְמֹשֶׁהLe/mo/SHEMosesאֶל־רֹאשׁel-roshto the top ofהָהָרha/HARthe mountainוַיַּעַלvay/YA/aland went upמֹשֶׁה׃Mo/SHEMoses

    And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesרֵדredgo downהָעֵדha/EDchargeבָּעָםba/AMthe peopleפֶּן־יֶהֶרְסוּpen-ye/her/SUlest they break throughאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaito the LORDלִרְאוֹתlir/OTto gazeוְנָפַלve/na/FALand fallמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nuof themרָב׃ravmany

    And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish.

22. 22

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsהַנִּגָּשִׁיםhan/nig/ga/SHIMwho come nearאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaito the LORDיִתְקַדָּשׁוּyit/kad/DA/shusanctify themselvesפֶּן־יִפְרֹץpen-yif/ROTSlest break forthבָּהֶםba/HEMupon themיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

    And let the priests also, which come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves, lest the LORD break forth upon them.

23. 23

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaito the LORDלֹא־יוּכַלlo-yu/KHALcannotהָעָםha/AMthe peopleלַעֲלֹתla/a/LOTcome upאֶל־הַרel-harto mountסִינָיSi/NAYSinaiכִּי־אַתָּהki-at/TAfor Youהַעֵדֹתָהha/e/DO/tachargedבָּנוּBA/nuusלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingהַגְבֵּלhag/BELset bounds aboutאֶת־הָהָרet-ha/HARthe mountainוְקִדַּשְׁתּוֹ׃ve/kid/dash/TOand sanctify it

    And Moses said unto the LORD, The people cannot come up to mount Sinai: for thou chargedst us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDלֶךְ־רֵדlekh-redgo get you downוְעָלִיתָve/a/LI/taand you shall come upאַתָּהat/TAyouוְאַהֲרֹןve/A/ha/RONand Aaronעִמָּךְim/MAKHwith youוְהַכֹּהֲנִיםve/hak/ko/ha/NIMand the priestsוְהָעָםve/ha/AMbut the peopleאַל־יֶהֶרְסוּal-ye/her/SUlet not break throughלַעֲלֹתla/a/LOTto come upאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaito the LORDפֶּן־יִפְרׇץ־בָּם׃pen-yif/ROTS-bamlest He break forth upon them

    And the LORD said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the LORD, lest he break forth upon them.

    וַיֵּרֶדvay/YE/redand went downמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶל־הָעָםel-ha/AMto the peopleוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵהֶם׃a/le/HEMto them

    So Moses went down unto the people, and spake unto them.
