   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesבֹּאbogo inאֶל־פַּרְעֹהel-Par/Oto Pharaohכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIfor Iהִכְבַּדְתִּיhikh/BAD/tihave hardenedאֶת־לִבּוֹet-lib/BOhis heartוְאֶת־לֵבve/ET-levand the heart ofעֲבָדָיוa/va/DAYVhis servantsלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatשִׁתִיSHI/tiI might setאֹתֹתַיo/to/TAYmy signsאֵלֶּהEL/letheseבְּקִרְבּוֹ׃be/kir/BOin the midst of him

   And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might shew these my signs before him:

   וּלְמַעַןu/le/MA/anand thatתְּסַפֵּרte/sap/PERyou may tellבְּאׇזְנֵיbe/oz/NEin the ears ofבִנְךָvin/KHAyour sonוּבֶן־בִּנְךָu/VEN-bin/KHAand your son's sonאֵת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERwhat thingsהִתְעַלַּלְתִּיhit/al/LAL/tiI have wroughtבְּמִצְרַיִםbe/Mits/RA/yimin Egyptוְאֶת־אֹתֹתַיve/ET-o/to/TAYand my signsאֲשֶׁר־שַׂמְתִּיa/SHER-SAM/tiwhich I have doneבָםvamamong themוִידַעְתֶּםvi/da/TEMand you shall knowכִּי־אֲנִיki-a/NIthat I amיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe LORD

   And that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son's son, what things I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know how that I am the LORD.

   וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand came inמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesוְאַהֲרֹןve/A/ha/RONand Aaronאֶל־פַּרְעֹהel-Par/Oto Pharaohוַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himכֹּה־אָמַרko-a/MARthus saysיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיe/lo/HEthe God ofהָעִבְרִיםha/Iv/RIMthe Hebrewsעַד־מָתַיad-ma/TAYhow longמֵאַנְתָּme/AN/tawill you refuseלֵעָנֹתle/a/NOTto humble yourselfמִפָּנָיmip/pa/NAYbefore meשַׁלַּחshal/LACHlet goעַמִּיam/MImy peopleוְיַעַבְדֻנִי׃ve/ya/av/DU/nithat they may serve me

   And Moses and Aaron came in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, How long wilt thou refuse to humble thyself before me? let my people go, that they may serve me.

   כִּיkielseאִם־מָאֵןim-ma/ENif refuseאַתָּהat/TAyouלְשַׁלֵּחַle/shal/LE/achto let goאֶת־עַמִּיet-am/MImy peopleהִנְנִיhin/NIbehold Iמֵבִיאme/VIwill bringמָחָרma/CHARtomorrowאַרְבֶּהar/BEthe locustבִּגְבֻלֶךָ׃big/vu/LE/khainto your borders

   Else, if thou refuse to let my people go, behold, to morrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast:

   וְכִסָּהve/khis/SAand they shall coverאֶת־עֵיןet-enthe face ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthוְלֹאve/LOthat notיוּכַלyu/KHALone shall be ableלִרְאֹתlir/OTto seeאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe earthוְאָכַלve/a/KHALand they shall eatאֶת־יֶתֶרet-YE/terthe residue ofהַפְּלֵטָהhap/pe/le/TAthat is escapedהַנִּשְׁאֶרֶתhan/nish/E/retwhich remainsלָכֶםla/KHEMto youמִן־הַבָּרָדmin-hab/ba/RADfrom the hailוְאָכַלve/a/KHALand they shall eatאֶת־כׇּל־הָעֵץet-kol-ha/ETSevery treeהַצֹּמֵחַhats/tso/ME/achwhich growsלָכֶםla/KHEMto youמִן־הַשָּׂדֶה׃min-has/sa/DEout of the field

   And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remaineth unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which groweth for you out of the field:

   וּמָלְאוּu/ma/le/Uand they shall fillבָתֶּיךָvat/TE/khayour housesוּבָתֵּיu/vat/TEand the houses ofכׇל־עֲבָדֶיךָkhol-a/va/DE/khaall your servantsוּבָתֵּיu/vat/TEand the houses ofכׇל־מִצְרַיִםkhol-Mits/RA/yimall Egyptאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹא־רָאוּlo-ra/Uhave not seenאֲבֹתֶיךָa/vo/TE/khayour fathersוַאֲבוֹתva/a/VOTnor the fathers ofאֲבֹתֶיךָa/vo/TE/khayour fathersמִיּוֹםmiy/YOMfrom the dayהֱיוֹתָםhe/yo/TAMthat they wereעַל־הָאֲדָמָהal-ha/a/da/MAupon the groundעַדaduntilהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוַיִּפֶןvay/YI/fenand he turned himselfוַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand went outמֵעִםme/IMfromפַּרְעֹה׃Par/OPharaoh

   And they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of all thy servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; which neither thy fathers, nor thy fathers' fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth unto this day. And he turned himself, and went out from Pharaoh.

   וַיֹּאמְרוּvay/yo/me/RUand they saidעַבְדֵיav/DEthe servants ofפַרְעֹהFar/OPharaohאֵלָיוe/LAYVto himעַד־מָתַיad-ma/TAYhow longיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beזֶהzethis manלָנוּLA/nuto usלְמוֹקֵשׁle/mo/KESHfor a snareשַׁלַּחshal/LACHlet goאֶת־הָאֲנָשִׁיםet-ha/a/na/SHIMthe menוְיַעַבְדוּve/ya/av/DUthat they may serveאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיהֶםe/lo/he/HEMtheir Godהֲטֶרֶםha/TE/remnot yetתֵּדַעte/DAdo you knowכִּיkithatאָבְדָהa/ve/DAis destroyedמִצְרָיִם׃Mits/RA/yimEgypt

   And Pharaoh's servants said unto him, How long shall this man be a snare unto us? let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God: knowest thou not yet that Egypt is destroyed?

8. 8

   וַיּוּשַׁבvay/yu/SHAVand were brought againאֶת־מֹשֶׁהet-Mo/SHEMosesוְאֶת־אַהֲרֹןve/ET-a/ha/RONand Aaronאֶל־פַּרְעֹהel-Par/Oto Pharaohוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themלְכוּle/KHUgoעִבְדוּiv/DUserveאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godמִיmiwhoוָמִיva/MIand whoהַהֹלְכִים׃ha/hol/KHIMare they that shall go

   And Moses and Aaron were brought again unto Pharaoh: and he said unto them, Go, serve the LORD your God: but who are they that shall go?

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesבִּנְעָרֵינוּbin/a/RE/nuwith our youngוּבִזְקֵנֵינוּu/viz/ke/NE/nuand with our oldנֵלֵךְne/LEKHwe will goבְּבָנֵינוּbe/va/NE/nuwith our sonsוּבִבְנוֹתֵנוּu/viv/no/TE/nuand with our daughtersבְּצֹאנֵנוּbe/tso/NE/nuwith our flocksוּבִבְקָרֵנוּu/viv/ka/RE/nuand with our herdsנֵלֵךְne/LEKHwe will goכִּיkiforחַג־יְהֹוָהchag-Adonaia feast to the LORDלָנוּ׃LA/nuwe have

   And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast unto the LORD.

10. 10

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲלֵהֶםa/le/HEMto themיְהִיye/HIlet beכֵןkhensoיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDעִמָּכֶםim/ma/KHEMwith youכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasאֲשַׁלַּחa/shal/LACHI will let goאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouוְאֶת־טַפְּכֶםve/ET-tap/pe/KHEMand your little onesרְאוּre/Ulookכִּיkiforרָעָהra/AevilנֶגֶדNE/gedis beforeפְּנֵיכֶם׃pe/ne/KHEMyour faces

    And he said unto them, Let the LORD be so with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: look to it; for evil is before you.

    לֹאlonotכֵןkhensoלְכוּ־נָאle/KHU-nago nowהַגְּבָרִיםhag/ge/va/RIMthe menוְעִבְדוּve/iv/DUand serveאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDכִּיkiforאֹתָהּo/TAthatאַתֶּםat/TEMyouמְבַקְשִׁיםme/vak/SHIMdid desireוַיְגָרֶשׁvay/GA/reshand they were driven outאֹתָםo/TAMthemמֵאֵתme/ETfromפְּנֵיpe/NEthe presence ofפַרְעֹה׃Far/OPharaoh

    Not so: go now ye that are men, and serve the LORD; for that ye did desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesנְטֵהne/TEstretch outיָדְךָya/de/KHAyour handעַל־אֶרֶץal-E/retsupon the land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptבָּאַרְבֶּהba/ar/BEfor the locustוְיַעַלve/YA/althat they may come upעַל־אֶרֶץal-E/retsupon the land ofמִצְרָיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוְיֹאכַלve/YO/khaland eatאֶת־כׇּל־עֵשֶׂבet-kol-E/sevevery herb ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landאֵת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁרet-kol-a/SHERall thatהִשְׁאִירhish/IRhas leftהַבָּרָד׃hab/ba/RADthe hail

    And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail hath left.

    וַיֵּטvay/YETand stretched outמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶת־מַטֵּהוּet-mat/TE/huhis staffעַל־אֶרֶץal-E/retsover the land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוַיהֹוָהve-Adonaiand the LORDנִהַגni/HAGbroughtרוּחַ־קָדִיםRU/ach-ka/DIMan east windבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsupon the landכׇּל־הַיּוֹםkol-hay/YOMall the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatוְכׇל־הַלָּיְלָהve/KHOL-hal/LAY/laand all the nightהַבֹּקֶרhab/BO/kerthe morningהָיָהha/YAwhen it wasוְרוּחַve/RU/achand the wind ofהַקָּדִיםhak/ka/DIMthe eastנָשָׂאna/SAbroughtאֶת־הָאַרְבֶּה׃et-ha/ar/BEthe locust

    And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

    וַיַּעַלvay/YA/aland went upהָאַרְבֶּהha/ar/BEthe locustעַלaloverכׇּל־אֶרֶץkol-E/retsall the land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוַיָּנַחvay/YA/nachand restedבְּכֹלbe/KHOLin allגְּבוּלge/VULthe borders ofמִצְרָיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptכָּבֵדka/VEDgrievousמְאֹדme/ODexceedinglyלְפָנָיוle/fa/NAYVbefore themלֹא־הָיָהlo-ha/YAthere were notכֵןkhensuchאַרְבֶּהar/BElocustsכָּמֹהוּka/MO/huas theyוְאַחֲרָיוve/a/cha/RAYVand after themלֹאloneitherיִהְיֶה־כֵּן׃yih/YE-kenshall be such

    And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.

    וַיְכַסvay/KHASfor they coveredאֶת־עֵיןet-enthe face ofכׇּל־הָאָרֶץkol-ha/A/retsall the earthוַתֶּחְשַׁךְvat/tech/SHAKHso that was darkenedהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthוַיֹּאכַלvay/YO/khaland they ateאֶת־כׇּל־עֵשֶׂבet-kol-E/sevevery herb ofהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּל־פְּרִיkol-pe/RIall the fruit ofהָעֵץha/ETSthe treesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהוֹתִירho/TIRhad leftהַבָּרָדhab/ba/RADthe hailוְלֹא־נוֹתַרve/LO-no/TARand there remained notכׇּל־יֶרֶקkol-YE/rekany green thingבָּעֵץba/ETSin the treesוּבְעֵשֶׂבu/ve/E/sevor in the herbs ofהַשָּׂדֶהhas/sa/DEthe fieldבְּכׇל־אֶרֶץbe/KHOL-E/retsin all the land ofמִצְרָיִם׃Mits/RA/yimEgypt

    For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt.

    וַיְמַהֵרvay/ma/HERand hastenedפַּרְעֹהPar/OPharaohלִקְרֹאlik/ROto callלְמֹשֶׁהle/Mo/SHEfor Mosesוּלְאַהֲרֹןu/Le/a/ha/RONand for Aaronוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidחָטָאתִיcha/TA/tiI have sinnedלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaiagainst the LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godוְלָכֶם׃ve/la/KHEMand against you

    Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said, I have sinned against the LORD your God, and against you.

17. 17

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowשָׂאsaforgiveנָאnaI prayחַטָּאתִיchat/ta/TImy sinאַךְakhonlyהַפַּעַםhap/PA/amthis onceוְהַעְתִּירוּve/ha/TI/ruand entreatלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godוְיָסֵרve/ya/SERthat He may take awayמֵעָלַיme/a/LAYfrom meרַקrakonlyאֶת־הַמָּוֶתet-ham/MA/vetdeathהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    Now therefore forgive, I pray thee, my sin only this once, and intreat the LORD your God, that he may take away from me this death only.

18. 18

    וַיֵּצֵאvay/ye/TSEand he went outמֵעִםme/IMfromפַּרְעֹהPar/OPharaohוַיֶּעְתַּרvay/ye/TARand entreatedאֶל־יְהֹוָה׃el-Adonaito the LORD

    And he went out from Pharaoh, and intreated the LORD.

19. 19

    וַיַּהֲפֹךְvay/ya/ha/FOKHand turnedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDרוּחַ־יָםRU/ach-yama west windחָזָקcha/ZAKstrongמְאֹדme/ODexceedinglyוַיִּשָּׂאvay/yis/SAwhich took awayאֶת־הָאַרְבֶּהet-ha/ar/BEthe locustsוַיִּתְקָעֵהוּvay/yit/ka/E/huand cast themיָמָּהYAM/mainto the RedסּוּףSufSeaלֹאlonotנִשְׁאַרnish/ARremainedאַרְבֶּהar/BElocustאֶחָדe/CHADoneבְּכֹלbe/KHOLin allגְּבוּלge/VULthe borders ofמִצְרָיִם׃Mits/RA/yimEgypt

    And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red sea; there remained not one locust in all the coasts of Egypt.

20. 20

    וַיְחַזֵּקvay/chaz/ZEKand hardenedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־לֵבet-levthe heart ofפַּרְעֹהPar/OPharaohוְלֹאve/LOand notשִׁלַּחshil/LACHwould he let goאֶת־בְּנֵיet-be/NEthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go.

21. 21

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesנְטֵהne/TEstretch outיָדְךָya/de/KHAyour handעַל־הַשָּׁמַיִםal-hash/sha/MA/yimtoward heavenוִיהִיvi/HIthat there may beחֹשֶׁךְCHO/shekhdarknessעַל־אֶרֶץal-E/retsover the land ofמִצְרָיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוְיָמֵשׁve/ya/MESHthat may be feltחֹשֶׁךְ׃CHO/shekhdarkness

    And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.

22. 22

    וַיֵּטvay/YETand stretched outמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesאֶת־יָדוֹet-ya/DOhis handעַל־הַשָּׁמָיִםal-hash/sha/MA/yimtoward heavenוַיְהִיvay/HIand there wasחֹשֶׁךְ־אֲפֵלָהCHO/shekh-a/fe/LAthick darknessבְּכׇל־אֶרֶץbe/KHOL-E/retsin all the land ofמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptשְׁלֹשֶׁתshe/LO/shetthreeיָמִים׃ya/MIMdays

    And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:

23. 23

    לֹא־רָאוּlo-ra/Usaw notאִישׁishoneאֶת־אָחִיוet-a/CHIVhis brotherוְלֹא־קָמוּve/LO-KA/muneither roseאִישׁishoneמִתַּחְתָּיוmit/tach/TAYVfrom his placeשְׁלֹשֶׁתshe/LO/shetthreeיָמִיםya/MIMdaysוּלְכׇל־בְּנֵיu/le/KHOL-be/NEbut all the children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelהָיָהha/YAhadאוֹרorlightבְּמוֹשְׁבֹתָם׃be/mosh/vo/TAMin their dwellings

    They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.

24. 24

    וַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand calledפַרְעֹהFar/OPharaohאֶל־מֹשֶׁהel-Mo/SHEto Mosesוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלְכוּle/KHUgoעִבְדוּiv/DUserveאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDרַקrakonlyצֹאנְכֶםtso/ne/KHEMyour flocksוּבְקַרְכֶםu/ve/kar/KHEMand your herdsיֻצָּגyuts/TSAGlet be stayedגַּם־טַפְּכֶםgam-tap/pe/KHEMyour little ones alsoיֵלֵךְye/LEKHlet goעִמָּכֶם׃im/ma/KHEMwith you

    And Pharaoh called unto Moses, and said, Go ye, serve the LORD; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your little ones also go with you.

25. 25

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesגַּם־אַתָּהgam-at/TAyou must alsoתִּתֵּןtit/TENgiveבְּיָדֵנוּbe/ya/DE/nuinto our handזְבָחִיםze/va/CHIMsacrificesוְעֹלֹתve/o/LOTand burnt offeringsוְעָשִׂינוּve/a/SI/nuthat we may sacrificeלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito the LORDאֱלֹהֵינוּ׃e/lo/HE/nuour God

    And Moses said, Thou must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice unto the LORD our God.

26. 26

    וְגַם־מִקְנֵנוּve/GAM-mik/NE/nuour livestock alsoיֵלֵךְye/LEKHshall goעִמָּנוּim/MA/nuwith usלֹאlonotתִשָּׁאֵרtish/sha/ERshall be left behindפַּרְסָהpar/SAa hoofכִּיkiforמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nuof itנִקַּחnik/KACHmust we takeלַעֲבֹדla/a/VODto serveאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֵינוּe/lo/HE/nuour Godוַאֲנַחְנוּva/a/NACH/nuand weלֹא־נֵדַעlo-ne/DAknow notמַה־נַּעֲבֹדma-na/a/VODwith what we must serveאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe LORDעַד־בֹּאֵנוּad-bo/E/nuuntil we comeשָׁמָּה׃SHAM/mathere

    Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not an hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve the LORD our God; and we know not with what we must serve the LORD, until we come thither.

27. 27

    וַיְחַזֵּקvay/chaz/ZEKand hardenedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֶת־לֵבet-levthe heart ofפַּרְעֹהPar/OPharaohוְלֹאve/LOand notאָבָהa/VAhe wouldלְשַׁלְּחָם׃le/shal/le/CHAMlet them go

    But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go.

28. 28

    וַיֹּאמֶר־לוֹvay/YO/mer-loand said to himפַרְעֹהFar/OPharaohלֵךְlekhget youמֵעָלָיme/a/LAYfrom meהִשָּׁמֶרhish/SHA/mertake heedלְךָle/KHAto yourselfאַל־תֹּסֶףal-TO/sefdo not againרְאוֹתre/OTseeפָּנַיpa/NAYmy faceכִּיkiforבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the dayרְאֹתְךָre/ot/KHAyou seeפָנַיfa/NAYmy faceתָּמוּת׃ta/MUTyou shall die

    And Pharaoh said unto him, Get thee from me, take heed to thyself, see my face no more; for in that day thou seest my face thou shalt die.

29. 29

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesכֵּןkenwellדִּבַּרְתָּdib/BAR/tayou have spokenלֹא־אֹסִףlo-o/SIFI will notעוֹדodagainרְאוֹתre/OTseeפָּנֶיךָ׃pa/NE/khayour face
