   לֹא־תִרְאֶהlo-tir/Eyou shall not seeאֶת־שׁוֹרet-shorthe ox ofאָחִיךָa/CHI/khayour brotherאוֹoorאֶת־שֵׂיוֹet-se/VOhis sheepנִדָּחִיםnid/da/CHIMstrayingוְהִתְעַלַּמְתָּve/hit/al/lam/TAand hide yourselfמֵהֶםme/HEMfrom themהָשֵׁבha/SHEVreturnתְּשִׁיבֵםte/shi/VEMyou shall return themלְאָחִיךָ׃le/a/CHI/khato your brother

   Thou shalt not see thy brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.

   וְאִם־לֹאve/IM-loand if notקָרוֹבka/ROVnearאָחִיךָa/CHI/khayour brotherאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khato youוְלֹאve/LOand notיְדַעְתּוֹye/da/TOyou know himוַאֲסַפְתּוֹva/a/saf/TOthen you shall bring itאֶל־תּוֹךְel-tokhintoבֵּיתֶךָbe/TE/khayour houseוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beעִמְּךָim/me/KHAwith youעַדaduntilדְּרֹשׁde/ROSHseeksאָחִיךָa/CHI/khayour brotherאֹתוֹo/TOitוַהֲשֵׁבֹתוֹva/ha/she/vo/TOand you shall return itלוֹ׃loto him

   And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again.

   וְכֵןve/KHENand soתַּעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEyou shall doלַחֲמֹרוֹla/cha/mo/ROwith his donkeyוְכֵןve/KHENand soתַּעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEyou shall doלְשִׂמְלָתוֹle/sim/la/TOwith his garmentוְכֵןve/KHENand soתַּעֲשֶׂהta/a/SEyou shall doלְכׇל־אֲבֵדַתle/KHOL-a/ve/DATwith every lost thing ofאָחִיךָa/CHI/khayour brotherאֲשֶׁר־תֹּאבַדa/SHER-to/VADwhich is lostמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nufrom himוּמְצָאתָהּu/me/tsa/TAand you have foundלֹאlonotתוּכַלtu/KHALyou mayלְהִתְעַלֵּם׃le/hit/al/LEMhide yourself

   In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother's, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.

   Thou shalt not see thy brother's ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.

   לֹא־יִהְיֶהlo-yih/YEshall not beכְלִי־גֶבֶרkhe/LI-GE/vera man’s gearעַל־אִשָּׁהal-ish/SHAon a womanוְלֹא־יִלְבַּשׁve/LO-yil/BASHnor shall put onגֶּבֶרGE/vera manשִׂמְלַתsim/LATthe garment ofאִשָּׁהish/SHAa womanכִּיkiforתוֹעֲבַתto/a/VATan abomination toיְהֹוָהAdonaithe LORDאֱלֹהֶיךָe/lo/HE/khayour Godכׇּל־עֹשֵׂהkol-O/seall who doאֵלֶּה׃EL/lethese

   The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

   כִּיkiifיִקָּרֵאyik/ka/REchancesקַן־צִפּוֹרkan-tsip/PORa bird's nestלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore youבַּדֶּרֶךְbad/DE/rekhin the wayבְּכׇל־עֵץbe/KHOL-etsin any treeאוֹoorעַל־הָאָרֶץal-ha/A/retson the groundאֶפְרֹחִיםef/ro/CHIMyoungאוֹoorבֵיצִיםve/TSIMeggsוְהָאֵםve/ha/EMand the motherרֹבֶצֶתro/VE/tsetsittingעַל־הָאֶפְרֹחִיםal-ha/ef/ro/CHIMon the youngאוֹoorעַל־הַבֵּיצִיםal-hab/be/TSIMon the eggsלֹא־תִקַּחlo-tik/KACHyou shall not takeהָאֵםha/EMthe motherעַל־הַבָּנִים׃al-hab/ba/NIMwith the young

   If a bird's nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young:

   שַׁלֵּחַshal/LE/achlet goתְּשַׁלַּחte/shal/LACHyou shall let goאֶת־הָאֵםet-ha/EMthe motherוְאֶת־הַבָּנִיםve/ET-hab/ba/NIMbut the youngתִּקַּח־לָךְtik/KACH-lakhyou may take for yourselfלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatיִיטַבyi/TAVit may be wellלָךְlakhwith youוְהַאֲרַכְתָּve/ha/a/rakh/TAand you may prolongיָמִים׃ya/MIMdays

   But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.

   כִּיkiwhenתִבְנֶהtiv/NEyou buildבַּיִתBA/yita houseחָדָשׁcha/DASHnewוְעָשִׂיתָve/a/SI/tathen you shall makeמַעֲקֶהma/a/KEa parapetלְגַגֶּךָle/gag/GE/khafor your roofוְלֹא־תָשִׂיםve/LO-ta/SIMthat you bring notדָּמִיםda/MIMbloodבְּבֵיתֶךָbe/ve/TE/khain your houseכִּי־יִפֹּלki-yip/POLif fallsהַנֹּפֵלhan/no/FELanyone fallingמִמֶּנּוּ׃mim/MEN/nufrom it

   When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence.

   לֹא־תִזְרַעlo-tiz/RAyou shall not sowכַּרְמְךָkar/me/KHAyour vineyardכִּלְאָיִםkil/A/yimwith two kindsפֶּן־תִּקְדַּשׁpen-tik/DASHlest be forfeitedהַמְלֵאָהham/le/Athe full yield ofהַזֶּרַעhaz/ZE/rathe seedאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתִּזְרָעtiz/RAyou sowוּתְבוּאַתu/te/vu/ATand the produce ofהַכָּרֶם׃hak/KA/remthe vineyard

   Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.

10. 10

    לֹא־תַחֲרֹשׁlo-ta/cha/ROSHyou shall not plowבְּשׁוֹר־וּבַחֲמֹרbe/SHOR-u/va/cha/MORwith an ox and a donkeyיַחְדָּו׃yach/DAVtogether

    Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.

11. 11

    לֹאlonotתִלְבַּשׁtil/BASHyou shall wearשַׁעַטְנֵזsha/at/NEZmixed fabricצֶמֶרTSE/merwoolוּפִשְׁתִּיםu/fish/TIMand linenיַחְדָּו׃yach/DAVtogether

    Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together.

12. 12

    גְּדִלִיםge/di/LIMtasselsתַּעֲשֶׂה־לָּךְta/a/SE-lakhyou shall make for yourselfעַל־אַרְבַּעal-ar/BAon the fourכַּנְפוֹתkan/FOTcorners ofכְּסוּתְךָke/sut/KHAyour coveringאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwith whichתְּכַסֶּה־בָּהּ׃te/khas/SE-bayou cover yourself

    Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.

13. 13

    כִּי־יִקַּחki-yik/KACHif takesאִישׁisha manאִשָּׁהish/SHAa wifeוּבָאu/VAand goes inאֵלֶיהָe/LE/hato herוּשְׂנֵאָהּ׃u/se/ne/Aand hates her

    If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,

14. 14

    וְשָׂםve/SAMand laysלָהּlaagainst herעֲלִילֹתa/li/LOTcharges ofדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMwordsוְהוֹצִאve/ho/TSIand brings outעָלֶיהָa/LE/haagainst herשֵׁםshema nameרָעraevilוְאָמַרve/a/MARand saysאֶת־הָאִשָּׁהet-ha/ish/SHAthe womanהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisלָקַחְתִּיla/KACH/tiI tookוָאֶקְרַבva/ek/RAVand when I came nearאֵלֶיהָe/LE/hato herוְלֹא־מָצָאתִיve/LO-ma/TSA/tiI did not findלָהּlain herבְּתוּלִים׃be/tu/LIMvirginity

    And give occasions of speech against her, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid:

15. 15

    וְלָקַחve/la/KACHthen shall takeאֲבִיa/VIthe father ofהַנַּעֲרָhan/na/a/RAthe young womanוְאִמָּהּve/im/MAand her motherוְהוֹצִיאוּve/ho/TSI/uand bring outאֶת־בְּתוּלֵיet-be/tu/LEthe virginity ofהַנַּעֲרָhan/na/a/RAthe young womanאֶל־זִקְנֵיel-zik/NEto the elders ofהָעִירha/IRthe cityהַשָּׁעְרָה׃hash/SHA/raat the gate

    Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate:

16. 16

    וְאָמַרve/a/MARand shall sayאֲבִיa/VIthe father ofהַנַּעֲרָhan/na/a/RAthe young womanאֶל־הַזְּקֵנִיםel-haz/ze/ke/NIMto the eldersאֶת־בִּתִּיet-bit/TImy daughterנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI gaveלָאִישׁla/ISHto the manהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisלְאִשָּׁהle/ish/SHAas wifeוַיִּשְׂנָאֶהָ׃vay/yis/na/E/haand he hates her

    And the damsel's father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her;

17. 17

    וְהִנֵּה־הוּאve/hin/NE-huand behold heשָׂםsamhas laidעֲלִילֹתa/li/LOTcharges ofדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMwordsלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingלֹא־מָצָאתִיlo-ma/TSA/tiI did not findלְבִתְּךָle/vit/te/KHAin your daughterבְּתוּלִיםbe/tu/LIMvirginityוְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand theseבְּתוּלֵיbe/tu/LEthe virginity ofבִתִּיvit/TImy daughterוּפָרְשׂוּu/fa/re/SUand they shall spreadהַשִּׂמְלָהhas/sim/LAthe garmentלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeזִקְנֵיzik/NEthe elders ofהָעִיר׃ha/IRthe city

    And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.

18. 18

    וְלָקְחוּve/la/ke/CHUand shall takeזִקְנֵיzik/NEthe elders ofהָעִיר־הַהִואha/IR-ha/HIVthat cityאֶת־הָאִישׁet-ha/ISHthe manוְיִסְּרוּve/yis/se/RUand disciplineאֹתוֹ׃o/TOhim

    And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;

19. 19

    וְעָנְשׁוּve/a/ne/SHUand fineאֹתוֹo/TOhimמֵאָהme/Aa hundredכֶסֶףKHE/sefsilverוְנָתְנוּve/na/te/NUand giveלַאֲבִיla/a/VIto the father ofהַנַּעֲרָהhan/na/a/RAthe young womanכִּיkibecauseהוֹצִיאho/TSIhe has brought outשֵׁםshema nameרָעraevilעַלaluponבְּתוּלַתbe/tu/LATa virgin ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelוְלוֹ־תִהְיֶהve/LO-tih/YEand she shall be hisלְאִשָּׁהle/ish/SHAas wifeלֹא־יוּכַלlo-yu/KHALhe may notלְשַׁלְּחָהּle/shal/le/CHAput her awayכׇּל־יָמָיו׃kol-ya/MAYVall his days

    And they shall amerce him in an hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.

20. 20

    וְאִם־אֱמֶתve/IM-e/METbut if trueהָיָהha/YAisהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe thingהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisלֹא־נִמְצְאוּlo-nim/tse/Uwere not foundבְתוּלִיםve/tu/LIMvirginityלַנַּעֲרָ׃lan/na/a/RAin the young woman

    But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:

21. 21

    וְהוֹצִיאוּve/ho/TSI/uthen they shall bring outאֶת־הַנַּעֲרָet-han/na/a/RAthe young womanאֶל־פֶּתַחel-PE/tachto the door ofבֵּית־אָבִיהָbet-a/VI/haher father’s houseוּסְקָלוּהָu/se/ka/lu/HAand shall stone herאַנְשֵׁיan/SHEthe men ofעִירָהּi/RAher cityבָּאֲבָנִיםba/a/va/NIMwith stonesוָמֵתָהva/ME/tathat she dieכִּי־עָשְׂתָהki-a/se/TAbecause she has doneנְבָלָהne/va/LAfollyבְּיִשְׂרָאֵלbe/Yis/ra/ELin Israelלִזְנוֹתliz/NOTby playing the harlotבֵּיתbetin the house ofאָבִיהָa/VI/haher fatherוּבִעַרְתָּu/vi/ar/TAso you shall put awayהָרָעha/RAthe evilמִקִּרְבֶּךָ׃mik/kir/BE/khafrom among you

    Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.

22. 22

    כִּי־יִמָּצֵאki-yim/ma/TSEif is foundאִישׁisha manשֹׁכֵבsho/KHEVlyingעִם־אִשָּׁהim-ish/SHAwith a womanבְעֻלַת־בַּעַלve/u/LAT-BA/almarried to a husbandוּמֵתוּu/ME/tuthen shall dieגַּם־שְׁנֵיהֶםgam-she/ne/HEMboth of themהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manהַשֹּׁכֵבhash/sho/KHEVwho layעִם־הָאִשָּׁהim-ha/ish/SHAwith the womanוְהָאִשָּׁהve/ha/ish/SHAand the womanוּבִעַרְתָּu/vi/ar/TAso you shall put awayהָרָעha/RAthe evilמִיִּשְׂרָאֵל׃miy/Yis/ra/ELfrom Israel

    If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.

23. 23

    כִּיkiifיִהְיֶהyih/YEthere isנַעֲרָna/a/RAa young womanבְתוּלָהve/tu/LAa virginמְאֹרָשָׂהme/o/ra/SAbetrothedלְאִישׁle/ISHto a manוּמְצָאָהּu/me/tsa/Aand finds herאִישׁisha manבָּעִירba/IRin the cityוְשָׁכַבve/sha/KHAVand liesעִמָּהּ׃im/MAwith her

    If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;

24. 24

    וְהוֹצֵאתֶםve/ho/tse/TEMthen you shall bring outאֶת־שְׁנֵיהֶםet-she/ne/HEMboth of themאֶל־שַׁעַרel-SHA/arto the gate ofהָעִירha/IRthe cityהַהִואha/HIVthatוּסְקַלְתֶּםu/se/kal/TEMand you shall stoneאֹתָםo/TAMthemבָּאֲבָנִיםba/a/va/NIMwith stonesוָמֵתוּva/ME/tuthat they dieאֶת־הַנַּעֲרָet-han/na/a/RAthe young womanעַל־דְּבַרal-de/VARbecauseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹא־צָעֲקָהlo-tsa/a/KAshe did not cry outבָעִירva/IRin the cityוְאֶת־הָאִישׁve/ET-ha/ISHand the manעַל־דְּבַרal-de/VARbecauseאֲשֶׁר־עִנָּהa/SHER-in/NAthat he humbledאֶת־אֵשֶׁתet-E/shetthe wife ofרֵעֵהוּre/E/huhis neighborוּבִעַרְתָּu/vi/ar/TAso you shall put awayהָרָעha/RAthe evilמִקִּרְבֶּךָ׃mik/kir/BE/khafrom among you

    Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.

25. 25

    וְאִם־בַּשָּׂדֶהve/IM-bas/sa/DEand if in the fieldיִמְצָאyim/TSAfindsהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manאֶת־הַנַּעֲרָet-han/na/a/RAthe young womanהַמְאֹרָשָׂהham/o/ra/SAwho is betrothedוְהֶחֱזִיק־בָּהּve/he/che/ZIK-baand seizes herהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manוְשָׁכַבve/sha/KHAVand liesעִמָּהּim/MAwith herוּמֵתu/METthen shall dieהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manאֲשֶׁר־שָׁכַבa/SHER-sha/KHAVwho layעִמָּהּim/MAwith herלְבַדּוֹ׃le/vad/DOonly

    But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die:

26. 26

    וְלַנַּעֲרָve/lan/na/a/RAbut to the young womanלֹא־תַעֲשֶׂהlo-ta/a/SEyou shall not doדָבָרda/VARanythingאֵיןenthere is notלַנַּעֲרָlan/na/a/RAin the young womanחֵטְאcheta sinמָוֶתMA/vetworthy of deathכִּיkiforכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERas whenיָקוּםya/KUMrisesאִישׁisha manעַל־רֵעֵהוּal-re/E/huagainst his neighborוּרְצָחוֹu/re/tsa/CHOand murders himנֶפֶשׁNE/fesha lifeכֵּןkenso isהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe matterהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:

27. 27

    כִּיkiforבַשָּׂדֶהvas/sa/DEin the fieldמְצָאָהּme/tsa/Ahe found herצָעֲקָהtsa/a/KAcried outהַנַּעֲרָhan/na/a/RAthe young womanהַמְאֹרָשָׂהham/o/ra/SAwho was betrothedוְאֵיןve/ENand there was noמוֹשִׁיעַmo/SHI/aone to saveלָהּ׃laher

    For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.

28. 28

    כִּי־יִמְצָאki-yim/TSAif findsאִישׁisha manנַעֲרָna/a/RAa young womanבְתוּלָהve/tu/LAa virginאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹא־אֹרָשָׂהlo-o/RA/sais not betrothedוּתְפָשָׂהּu/te/fa/SAand lays hold of herוְשָׁכַבve/sha/KHAVand liesעִמָּהּim/MAwith herוְנִמְצָאוּ׃ve/nim/TSA/uand they are found

    If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;

29. 29

    וְנָתַןve/na/TANthen shall giveהָאִישׁha/ISHthe manהַשֹּׁכֵבhash/sho/KHEVwho layעִמָּהּim/MAwith herלַאֲבִיla/a/VIto the father ofהַנַּעֲרָhan/na/a/RAthe young womanחֲמִשִּׁיםcha/mish/SHIMfiftyכָּסֶףKA/sefof silverוְלוֹ־תִהְיֶהve/LO-tih/YEand she shall be hisלְאִשָּׁהle/ish/SHAas wifeתַּחַתTA/chatbecauseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעִנָּהּin/NAhe has humbled herלֹא־יוּכַלlo-yu/KHALhe may notשַׁלְּחָהּshal/le/CHAput her awayכׇּל־יָמָיו׃kol-ya/MAYVall his days

    Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.
