   The sons of Judah; Pharez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.

   And Reaiah the son of Shobal begat Jahath; and Jahath begat Ahumai, and Lahad. These are the families of the Zorathites.

   And these were of the father of Etam; Jezreel, and Ishma, and Idbash: and the name of their sister was Hazelelponi:

   וּפְנוּאֵלu/Fe/nu/ELand Penuelאֲבִיa/VIthe father ofגְדֹרGe/DORGedorוְעֵזֶרve/E/zerand Ezerאֲבִיa/VIthe father ofחוּשָׁהCHU/shaHushahאֵלֶּהEL/letheseבְנֵי־חוּרve/NE-churthe sons of Hurבְּכוֹרbe/KHORthe firstborn ofאֶפְרָתָהEf/RA/taEphratahאֲבִיa/VIthe father ofבֵּיתBetBeth-לָחֶם׃LA/chemlehem

   And Penuel the father of Gedor, and Ezer the father of Hushah. These are the sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah, the father of Beth-lehem.

   And Ashur the father of Tekoa had two wives, Helah and Naarah.

   וַתֵּלֶדvat/TE/ledand boreלוֹloto himנַעֲרָהNa/a/RANaarahאֶת־אֲחֻזָּםet-A/chuz/ZAMAhuzzamוְאֶת־חֵפֶרve/ET-CHE/ferand Hepherוְאֶת־תֵּימְנִיve/ET-te/me/NIand Temeniוְאֶת־הָאֲחַשְׁתָּרִיve/ET-ha/a/chash/ta/RIand HaahashtariאֵלֶּהEL/letheseבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofנַעֲרָה׃Na/a/RANaarah

   And Naarah bare him Ahuzam, and Hepher, and Temeni, and Haahashtari. These were the sons of Naarah.

   וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofחֶלְאָהChel/AHelahצֶרֶתTSE/retZereth[וְצֹחַר]Ve/TSO/charand Zoharוְאֶתְנָן׃ve/Et/NANand Ethnan

   And the sons of Helah were, Zereth, and Jezoar, and Ethnan.

   וְקוֹץve/KOTSand Cozהוֹלִידho/LIDbegatאֶת־עָנוּבet-A/NUVAnubוְאֶת־הַצֹּבֵבָהve/ET-hats/tso/ve/VAand Zobebahוּמִשְׁפְּחֹתu/mish/pe/CHOTand the families ofאֲחַרְחֵלA/char/CHELAharhelבֶּן־הָרוּם׃ben-Ha/RUMthe son of Harum

   And Coz begat Anub, and Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel the son of Harum.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand wasיַעְבֵּץYa/BETSJabezנִכְבָּדnikh/BADmore honoredמֵאֶחָיוme/e/CHAYVthan his brothersוְאִמּוֹve/im/MOand his motherקָרְאָהka/re/Acalledשְׁמוֹshe/MOhis nameיַעְבֵּץYa/BETSJabezלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingכִּיkiforיָלַדְתִּיya/LAD/tiI bore himבְּעֹצֶב׃be/O/tsevin pain

   And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.

    וַיִּקְרָאvay/yik/RAand called onיַעְבֵּץYa/BETSJabezלֵאלֹהֵיle/lo/HEthe God ofיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELIsraelלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingאִם־בָּרֵךְim-ba/REKHif blessתְּבָרְכֵנִיte/va/re/KHE/niYou will bless meוְהִרְבִּיתָve/hir/BI/taand enlargeאֶת־גְּבוּלִיet-ge/vu/LImy borderוְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand beיָדְךָya/de/KHAYour handעִמִּיim/MIwith meוְעָשִׂיתָve/a/SI/taand You would keepמֵּרָעָהme/ra/Afrom evilלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIso that notעׇצְבִּיots/BImy painוַיָּבֵאvay/ya/VEand broughtאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֵת־אֲשֶׁר־שָׁאָל׃et-a/SHER-sha/ALwhat he asked

    And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

    And Chelub the brother of Shuah begat Mehir, which was the father of Eshton.

    וְאֶשְׁתּוֹןve/Esh/TONand Eshtonהוֹלִידho/LIDbegatאֶת־בֵּיתet-BetBeth-רָפָאra/FAraphaוְאֶת־פָּסֵחַve/ET-pa/SE/achand Paseahוְאֶת־תְּחִנָּהve/ET-te/chin/NAand Tehinnahאֲבִיa/VIthe father ofעִירIrIr-נָחָשׁna/CHASHnahashאֵלֶּהEL/letheseאַנְשֵׁיan/SHEthe men ofרֵכָה׃Re/KHARecah

    And Eshton begat Beth-rapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of Ir-nahash. These are the men of Rechah.

    וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofקְנַזKe/NAZKenazעׇתְנִיאֵלOt/ni/ELOthnielוּשְׂרָיָהu/Se/ra/YAand Seraiahוּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofעׇתְנִיאֵלOt/ni/ELOthnielחֲתַת׃Cha/TATHathath

    And the sons of Kenaz; Othniel, and Seraiah: and the sons of Othniel; Hathath.

    וּמְעוֹנֹתַיu/Me/o/no/TAYand Meonothaiהוֹלִידho/LIDbegatאֶת־עׇפְרָהet-Of/RAOphrahוּשְׂרָיָהu/Se/ra/YAand Seraiahהוֹלִידho/LIDbegatאֶת־יוֹאָבet-Yo/AVJoabאֲבִיa/VIthe father ofגֵּיאGeGe-חֲרָשִׁיםcha/ra/SHIMharashimכִּיkiforחֲרָשִׁיםcha/ra/SHIMcraftsmenהָיוּ׃ha/YUthey were

    And Meonothai begat Ophrah: and Seraiah begat Joab, the father of the valley of Charashim; for they were craftsmen.

    וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofכָּלֵבKa/LEVCalebבֶּן־יְפֻנֶּהben-Ye/fun/NEthe son of JephunnehעִירוּI/ruIruאֵלָהE/LAElahוָנָעַםva/NA/amand Naamוּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofאֵלָהE/LAElahוּקְנַז׃u/Ke/NAZand Kenaz

    And the sons of Caleb the son of Jephunneh; Iru, Elah, and Naam: and the sons of Elah, even Kenaz.

    וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofיְהַלֶּלְאֵלYe/hal/lel/ELJehaleleelזִיףZifZiphוְזִיפָהve/Zi/FAand ZiphahתִּירְיָאTi/re/YATiriaוַאֲשַׂרְאֵל׃va/A/sar/ELand Asarel

    And the sons of Jehaleleel; Ziph, and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asareel.

    וּבֶן־עֶזְרָהu/VEN-ez/RAand the son of EzrahיֶתֶרYE/terJetherוּמֶרֶדu/ME/redand Meredוְעֵפֶרve/E/ferand Epherוְיָלוֹןve/Ya/LONand Jalonוַתַּהַרvat/TA/harand she conceivedאֶת־מִרְיָםet-Mir/YAMMiriamוְאֶת־שַׁמַּיve/ET-sham/MAYand Shammaiוְאֶת־יִשְׁבָּחve/ET-yish/BACHand Ishbahאֲבִיa/VIthe father ofאֶשְׁתְּמֹעַ׃Esh/te/MO/aEshtemoa

    And the sons of Ezra were, Jether, and Mered, and Epher, and Jalon: and she bare Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa.

    וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofאֵשֶׁתE/shetthe wife ofהוֹדִיָּהHo/diy/YAHodiahאֲחוֹתa/CHOTthe sister ofנַחַםNA/chamNahamאֲבִיa/VIthe father ofקְעִילָהKe/i/LAKeilahהַגַּרְמִיhag/Gar/MIthe Garmiteוְאֶשְׁתְּמֹעַve/Esh/te/MO/aand Eshtemoaהַמַּעֲכָתִי׃ham/Ma/a/kha/TIthe Maachathite

    And the sons of his wife Hodiah the sister of Naham, the father of Keilah the Garmite, and Eshtemoa the Maachathite.

    וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofשִׁימוֹןShi/MONShimonאַמְנוֹןAm/NONAmnonוְרִנָּהve/Rin/NAand Rinnahבֶּן־חָנָןben-Cha/NANBen-hanan[וְתִילוֹן]Ve/ti/LONand Tilonוּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofיִשְׁעִיYish/IIshiזוֹחֵתZo/CHETZohethוּבֶן־זוֹחֵת׃u/VEN-zo/CHETand Ben-zoheth

    And the sons of Shimon were, Amnon, and Rinnah, Ben-hanan, and Tilon. And the sons of Ishi were, Zoheth, and Ben-zoheth.

    בְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofשֵׁלָהShe/LAShelahבֶן־יְהוּדָהven-Ye/hu/DAthe son of JudahעֵרErErאֲבִיa/VIthe father ofלֵכָהLe/KHALecahוְלַעְדָּהve/La/DAand Laadahאֲבִיa/VIthe father ofמָרֵשָׁהMa/re/SHAMareshahוּמִשְׁפְּחוֹתu/mish/pe/CHOTand the families ofבֵּית־עֲבֹדַתbet-a/vo/DATthe house of the work ofהַבֻּץhab/BUTSthe fine linenלְבֵיתle/VETof the house ofאַשְׁבֵּעַ׃Ash/BE/aAshbea

    The sons of Shelah the son of Judah were, Er the father of Lecah, and Laadah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the house of them that wrought fine linen, of the house of Ashbea,

22. 22

    וְיוֹקִיםve/Yo/KIMand Jokimוְאַנְשֵׁיve/an/SHEand the men ofכֹזֵבָאKho/ze/VAKozebaוְיוֹאָשׁve/Yo/ASHand Joashוְשָׂרָףve/Sa/RAFand Saraphאֲשֶׁר־בָּעֲלוּa/SHER-ba/a/LUwho ruledלְמוֹאָבle/Mo/AVin Moabוְיָשֻׁבִיve/Ya/SHU/viand Jashubi-לָחֶםLA/chemlehemוְהַדְּבָרִיםve/had/de/va/RIMand the recordsעַתִּיקִים׃at/ti/KIMare ancient

    And Jokim, and the men of Chozeba, and Joash, and Saraph, who had the dominion in Moab, and Jashubi-lehem. And these are ancient things.

    הֵמָּהHEM/mathese wereהַיּוֹצְרִיםhay/yots/RIMthe pottersוְיֹשְׁבֵיve/yosh/VEand the inhabitants ofנְטָעִיםNe/ta/IMNetaimוּגְדֵרָהu/Ge/de/RAand Gederahעִם־הַמֶּלֶךְim-ham/ME/lekhwith the kingבִּמְלַאכְתּוֹbim/lakh/TOin his workיָשְׁבוּya/she/VUthey dweltשָׁם׃shamthere

    These were the potters, and those that dwelt among plants and hedges: there they dwelt with the king for his work.

24. 24

    בְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofשִׁמְעוֹןShim/ONSimeonנְמוּאֵלNe/mu/ELNemuelוְיָמִיןve/Ya/MINand JaminיָרִיבYa/RIVJaribזֶרַחZE/rachZerahשָׁאוּל׃Sha/ULShaul

    The sons of Simeon were, Nemuel, and Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, and Shaul:

25. 25

    שַׁלֻּםShal/LUMShallumבְּנוֹbe/NOhis sonמִבְשָׂםMiv/SAMMibsamבְּנוֹbe/NOhis sonמִשְׁמָעMish/MAMishmaבְּנוֹ׃be/NOhis son

    Shallum his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma his son.

26. 26

    וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sons ofמִשְׁמָעMish/MAMishmaחַמּוּאֵלCham/mu/ELHammuelבְּנוֹbe/NOhis sonזַכּוּרZak/KURZaccurבְּנוֹbe/NOhis sonשִׁמְעִיShim/IShimeiבְנוֹ׃ve/NOhis son

    And the sons of Mishma; Hamuel his son, Zacchur his son, Shimei his son.

27. 27

    וּלְשִׁמְעִיu/Le/shim/Iand Shimei hadבָּנִיםba/NIMsonsשִׁשָּׁה־עָשָׂרshish/SHA-a/SARsixteenוּבָנוֹתu/va/NOTand daughtersשֵׁשׁsheshsixוּלְאֶחָיוu/le/e/CHAYVbut his brothers hadאֵיןennotבָּנִיםba/NIMsonsרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוְכֹלve/KHOLnor did allמִשְׁפַּחְתָּםmish/pach/TAMtheir familyלֹאlonotהִרְבּוּhir/BUmultiplyעַד־בְּנֵיad-be/NElike the children ofיְהוּדָה׃Ye/hu/DAJudah

    And Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters; but his brethren had not many children, neither did all their family multiply, like to the children of Judah.

    וַיֵּשְׁבוּvay/yesh/VUand they dweltבִּבְאֵר־שֶׁבַעbiv/ER-SHE/vaat Beer-shebaוּמוֹלָדָהu/Mo/la/DAand Moladahוַחֲצַרva/Cha/TSARand Hazar-שׁוּעָל׃shu/ALshual

    And they dwelt at Beer-sheba, and Moladah, and Hazar-shual,

29. 29

    וּבְבִלְהָהu/ve/Vil/HAand in Bilhahוּבְעֶצֶםu/ve/E/tsemand in Ezemוּבְתוֹלָד׃u/ve/To/LADand in Tolad

    And at Bilhah, and at Ezem, and at Tolad,

30. 30

    וּבִבְתוּאֵלu/Viv/tu/ELand in Bethuelוּבְחׇרְמָהu/ve/Chor/MAand in Hormahוּבְצִיקְלָג׃u/ve/Tsi/ke/LAGand in Ziklag

    And at Bethuel, and at Hormah, and at Ziklag,

    וּבְבֵיתu/ve/VETand at Beth-מַרְכָּבוֹתmar/ka/VOTmarkabothוּבַחֲצַרu/Va/cha/TSARand Hazar-סוּסִיםsu/SIMsusimוּבְבֵיתu/ve/VETand at Beth-בִּרְאִיbir/Ibiriוּבְשַׁעֲרָיִםu/ve/Sha/a/RA/yimand in ShaaraimאֵלֶּהEL/letheseעָרֵיהֶםa/re/HEMwere their citiesעַד־מְלֹךְad-me/LOKHuntil the reign ofדָּוִיד׃Da/VIDDavid

    And at Beth-marcaboth, and Hazar-susim, and at Beth-birei, and at Shaaraim. These were their cities unto the reign of David.

32. 32

    וְחַצְרֵיהֶםve/chats/re/HEMand their villagesעֵיטָםE/TAMEtamוָעַיִןva/A/yinand AinרִמּוֹןRim/MONRimmonוְתֹכֶןve/TO/khenand Tochenוְעָשָׁןve/A/SHANand Ashanעָרִיםa/RIMcitiesחָמֵשׁ׃cha/MESHfive

    And their villages were, Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, five cities:

33. 33

    וְכׇל־חַצְרֵיהֶםve/KHOL-chats/re/HEMand all their villagesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat wereסְבִיבוֹתse/vi/VOTaroundהֶעָרִיםhe/a/RIMthe citiesהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseעַד־בָּעַלad-BA/alas far as Baalזֹאתzotthis wasמוֹשְׁבֹתָםmosh/vo/TAMtheir dwellingsוְהִתְיַחְשָׂםve/hit/yach/SAMand their genealogyלָהֶם׃la/HEMfor them

    And all their villages that were round about the same cities, unto Baal. These were their habitations, and their genealogy.

    וּמְשׁוֹבָבu/Me/sho/VAVand Meshobabוְיַמְלֵךְve/Yam/LEKHand Jamlechוְיוֹשָׁהve/Yo/SHAand Joshahבֶּן־אֲמַצְיָה׃ben-A/mats/YAthe son of Amaziah

    And Meshobab, and Jamlech, and Joshah the son of Amaziah,

35. 35

    וְיוֹאֵלve/Yo/ELand Joelוְיֵהוּאve/Ye/HUand Jehuבֶּן־יוֹשִׁבְיָהben-Yo/shiv/YAthe son of Joshibiahבֶּן־שְׂרָיָהben-Se/ra/YAthe son of Seraiahבֶּן־עֲשִׂיאֵל׃ben-A/si/ELthe son of Asiel

    And Joel, and Jehu the son of Josibiah, the son of Seraiah, the son of Asiel,

36. 36

    וְאֶלְיוֹעֵינַיve/El/yo/e/NAYand Elioenaiוְיַעֲקֹבָהve/Ya/a/KO/vaand JaakobahוִישׁוֹחָיָהVi/sho/cha/YAand Jeshohaiahוַעֲשָׂיָהva/A/sa/YAand Asaiahוַעֲדִיאֵלva/A/di/ELand AdielוִישִׂימִאֵלVi/si/mi/ELand Jesimielוּבְנָיָה׃u/ve/Na/YAand Benaiah

    And Elioenai, and Jaakobah, and Jeshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Jesimiel, and Benaiah,

    וְזִיזָאve/Zi/ZAand Zizaבֶן־שִׁפְעִיven-Shif/Ithe son of Shipiבֶן־אַלּוֹןven-Al/LONthe son of Allonבֶּן־יְדָיָהben-Ye/da/YAthe son of Jedaiahבֶן־שִׁמְרִיven-Shim/RIthe son of Shimriבֶּן־שְׁמַעְיָה׃ben-She/ma/YAthe son of Shemaiah

    And Ziza the son of Shiphi, the son of Allon, the son of Jedaiah, the son of Shimri, the son of Shemaiah;

    אֵלֶּהEL/letheseהַבָּאִיםhab/ba/IMwho cameבְּשֵׁמוֹתbe/she/MOTby namesנְשִׂיאִיםne/si/IMprincesבְּמִשְׁפְּחוֹתָםbe/mish/pe/cho/TAMin their familiesוּבֵיתu/VETand the house ofאֲבוֹתֵיהֶםa/vo/te/HEMtheir fathersפָּרְצוּpa/re/TSUincreasedלָרוֹב׃la/ROVabundantly

    These mentioned by their names were princes in their families: and the house of their fathers increased greatly.

39. 39

    וַיֵּלְכוּvay/yel/KHUand they wentלִמְבוֹאlim/VOto the entrance ofגְדֹרGe/DORGedorעַדadas far asלְמִזְרַחle/miz/RACHthe east ofהַגָּיְאhag/GAYthe valleyלְבַקֵּשׁle/vak/KESHto seekמִרְעֶהmir/Epastureלְצֹאנָם׃le/tso/NAMfor their flocks

    And they went to the entrance of Gedor, even unto the east side of the valley, to seek pasture for their flocks.

40. 40

    וַיִּמְצְאוּvay/yim/tse/Uand they foundמִרְעֶהmir/Epastureשָׁמֵןsha/MENrichוָטוֹבva/TOVand goodוְהָאָרֶץve/ha/A/retsand the landרַחֲבַתra/cha/VATbroad ofיָדַיִםya/DA/yimhandsוְשֹׁקֶטֶתve/sho/KE/tetand quietוּשְׁלֵוָהu/she/le/VAand peaceableכִּיkiforמִן־חָםmin-Chamof Hamהַיֹּשְׁבִיםhay/yosh/VIMthose dwellingשָׁםshamthereלְפָנִים׃le/fa/NIMof old

    And they found fat pasture and good, and the land was wide, and quiet, and peaceable; for they of Ham had dwelt there of old.

    וַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand they cameאֵלֶּהEL/letheseהַכְּתוּבִיםhak/ke/tu/VIMwrittenבְּשֵׁמוֹתbe/she/MOTby nameבִּימֵיbi/MEin the days ofיְחִזְקִיָּהוּYe/chiz/kiy/YA/huHezekiahמֶלֶךְ־יְהוּדָהME/lekh-Ye/hu/DAthe king of Judahוַיַּכּוּvay/yak/KUand they struckאֶת־אׇהֳלֵיהֶםet-o/ho/le/HEMtheir tentsוְאֶת־[הַמְּעוּנִים]ve/ET-ham/me/u/NIMand the Meunimאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoנִמְצְאוּ־שָׁמָּהnim/tse/U-SHAM/mawho were found thereוַיַּחֲרִימֻםvay/ya/cha/ri/MUMand devoted them to destructionעַד־הַיּוֹםad-hay/YOMuntil dayהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוַיֵּשְׁבוּvay/yesh/VUand dweltתַּחְתֵּיהֶםtach/te/HEMin their placeכִּי־מִרְעֶהki-mir/Efor pastureלְצֹאנָםle/tso/NAMfor their flocksשָׁם׃shamwas there

    And these written by name came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and smote their tents, and the habitations that were found there, and destroyed them utterly unto this day, and dwelt in their rooms: because there was pasture there for their flocks.

    וּמֵהֶםu/me/HEMand some of themמִן־בְּנֵיmin-be/NEfrom the sons ofשִׁמְעוֹןShim/ONSimeonהָלְכוּha/le/KHUwentלְהַרle/HARto MountשֵׂעִירSe/IRSeirאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenחֲמֵשׁcha/MESHfiveמֵאוֹתme/OThundredוּפְלַטְיָהu/Fe/lat/YAand Pelatiahוּנְעַרְיָהu/Ne/ar/YAand Neariahוּרְפָיָהu/Re/fa/YAand Rephaiahוְעֻזִּיאֵלve/Uz/zi/ELand Uzzielבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sons ofיִשְׁעִיYish/IIshiבְּרֹאשָׁם׃be/ro/SHAMat their head

    And some of them, even of the sons of Simeon, five hundred men, went to mount Seir, having for their captains Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rephaiah, and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi.

    וַיַּכּוּvay/yak/KUand they struckאֶת־שְׁאֵרִיתet-she/e/RITthe remnant ofהַפְּלֵטָהhap/pe/le/TAthe escapedלַעֲמָלֵקla/A/ma/LEKof Amalekוַיֵּשְׁבוּvay/yesh/VUand dweltשָׁםshamthereעַדaduntilהַיּוֹםhay/YOMdayהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    And they smote the rest of the Amalekites that were escaped, and dwelt there unto this day.
