   These are the sons of Israel; Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,

   Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

   בְּנֵיthe-sons-ofיְהוּדָהJudahעֵרErוְאוֹנָןand-Onanוְשֵׁלָהand-Shelahשְׁלוֹשָׁהthreeנוֹלַדwere-bornלוֹto-himמִבַּת־שׁוּעַof-the-daughter-of-Shuaהַכְּנַעֲנִיתthe-Canaanite-womanוַיְהִיand-it-came-to-passעֵרErבְּכוֹרthe-firstborn-ofיְהוּדָהJudahרַעwas-evilבְּעֵינֵיin-the-sight-ofיְהֹוָהthe-LORDוַיְמִיתֵהוּ׃and-he-slew-him

   The sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah: which three were born unto him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, the firstborn of Judah, was evil in the sight of the LORD; and he slew him.

   וְתָמָרand-Tamarכַּלָּתוֹhis-daughter-in-lawיָלְדָהshe-boreלּוֹto-himאֶת־פֶּרֶץPerezוְאֶת־זָרַחand-Zerahכׇּל־בְּנֵיall-sons-ofיְהוּדָהJudahחֲמִשָּׁה׃five

   And Tamar his daughter in law bare him Pharez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.

   בְּנֵי־פֶרֶץsons-of-PerezחֶצְרוֹןHezronוְחָמוּל׃and-Hamul

   The sons of Pharez; Hezron, and Hamul.

   וּבְנֵיand-sons-ofזֶרַחZerahזִמְרִיZimriוְאֵיתָןand-Ethanוְהֵימָןand-Hemanוְכַלְכֹּלand-Calcolוָדָרַעand-Daraכֻּלָּםall-of-themחֲמִשָּׁה׃five

   And the sons of Zerah; Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara: five of them in all.

   וּבְנֵיand-sons-ofכַּרְמִיCarmiעָכָרAcharעוֹכֵרthe-troubler-ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelאֲשֶׁרwhichמָעַלtransgressedבַּחֵרֶם׃in-the-devoted-property

   And the sons of Carmi; Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the thing accursed.

   וּבְנֵיand-sons-ofאֵיתָןEthanעֲזַרְיָה׃Azariah

   And the sons of Ethan; Azariah.

   וּבְנֵיand-sons-ofחֶצְרוֹןHezronאֲשֶׁרwhichנוֹלַד־לוֹthat-were-born-to-himאֶת־יְרַחְמְאֵלJerahmeelוְאֶת־רָםand-Ramוְאֶת־כְּלוּבָי׃and-Celubai

   The sons also of Hezron, that were born unto him; Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.

    וְרָםand-Ramהוֹלִידbegotאֶת־עַמִּינָדָבAmminadabוְעַמִּינָדָבand-Amminadabהוֹלִידbegotאֶת־נַחְשׁוֹןNahshonנְשִׂיאprince-ofבְּנֵיthe-sons-ofיְהוּדָה׃Judah

    And Ram begat Amminadab; and Amminadab begat Nahshon, prince of the children of Judah;

11. 11

    וְנַחְשׁוֹןand-Nahshonהוֹלִידbegotאֶת־שַׂלְמָאSalmaוְשַׂלְמָאand-Salmaהוֹלִידbegotאֶת־בֹּעַז׃Boaz

    And Nahshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Boaz,

12. 12

    וּבֹעַזand-Boazהוֹלִידbegotאֶת־עוֹבֵדObedוְעוֹבֵדand-Obedהוֹלִידbegotאֶת־יִשָׁי׃Jesse

    And Boaz begat Obed, and Obed begat Jesse,

13. 13

    וְאִישַׁיand-Jesseהוֹלִידbegotאֶת־בְּכֹרוֹhis-firstbornאֶת־אֱלִיאָבEliabוַאֲבִינָדָבand-Abinadabהַשֵּׁנִיthe-secondוְשִׁמְעָאand-Shimeaהַשְּׁלִשִׁי׃the-third

    And Jesse begat his firstborn Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimma the third,

    נְתַנְאֵלNethaneelהָרְבִיעִיthe-fourthרַדַּיRaddaiהַחֲמִישִׁי׃the-fifth

    Nethaneel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,

15. 15

    אֹצֶםOzemהַשִּׁשִּׁיthe-sixthדָּוִידDavidהַשְּׁבִעִי׃the-seventh

    Ozem the sixth, David the seventh:

16. 16

    וְאַחְיֹתֵיהֶםand-their-sistersצְרוּיָהZeruiahוַאֲבִיגָיִלand-Abigailוּבְנֵיand-sons-ofצְרוּיָהZeruiahאַבְשַׁיAbishaiוְיוֹאָבand-Joabוַעֲשָׂהאֵלand-Asahelשְׁלֹשָׁה׃three

    Whose sisters were Zeruiah, and Abigail. And the sons of Zeruiah; Abishai, and Joab, and Asahel, three.

17. 17

    וַאֲבִיגַיִלand-Abigailיָלְדָהshe-boreאֶת־עֲמָשָׂאAmasaוַאֲבִיand-the-father-ofעֲמָשָׂאAmasaיֶתֶרJetherהַיִּשְׁמְעֵאלִי׃the-Ishmaelite

    And Abigail bare Amasa: and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmeelite.

18. 18

    וְכָלֵבand-Calebבֶּן־חֶצְרוֹןson-of-Hezronהוֹלִידbegotאֶת־עֲזוּבָהAzubahאִשָּׁהhis-wifeוְאֶת־יְרִיעוֹתand-Jeriothוְאֵלֶּהand-theseבָנֶיהָher-sonsיֵשֶׁרJesherוְשׁוֹבָבand-Shobabוְאַרְדּוֹן׃and-Ardon

    And Caleb the son of Hezron begat children of Azubah his wife, and of Jerioth: her sons are these; Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.

19. 19

    וַתָּמׇתand-when-was-deadעֲזוּבָהAzubahוַיִּקַּח־לוֹand-took-to-himכָלֵבCalebאֶת־אֶפְרָתEphratahוַתֵּלֶדwho-boreלוֹto-himאֶת־חוּר׃Hur

    And when Azubah was dead, Caleb took unto him Ephrath, which bare him Hur.

20. 20

    וְחוּרand-Hurהוֹלִידbegotאֶת־אוּרִיUriוְאוּרִיand-Uriהוֹלִידbegotאֶת־בְּצַלְאֵל׃Bezaleel

    And Hur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezaleel.

21. 21

    וְאַחַרand-thenבָּאcameחֶצְרוֹןHezronאֶל־בַּת־מָכִירto-the-daughter-of-Machirאֲבִיthe-father-ofגִלְעָדGileadוְהוּאand-heלְקָחָהּhe-married-herוְהוּאand-heבֶּן־שִׁשִּׁיםson-of-sixtyשָׁנָהyearsוַתֵּלֶדand-boreלוֹto-himאֶת־שְׂגוּב׃Segub

    And afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was threescore years old; and she bare him Segub.

22. 22

    וּשְׂגוּבand-Segubהוֹלִידbegotאֶת־יָאִירJairוַיְהִי־לוֹwho-hadעֶשְׂרִיםtwentyוְשָׁלוֹשׁand-threeעָרִיםcitiesבְּאֶרֶץin-the-land-ofהַגִּלְעָד׃Gilead

    And Segub begat Jair, who had three and twenty cities in the land of Gilead.

23. 23

    וַיִּקַּחand-he-tookגְּשׁוּר־וַאֲרָםGeshur-and-Aramאֶת־חַוֺּתHavvoth-יָאִירjairמֵאִתָּםof-themאֶת־קְנָתKenathוְאֶת־בְּנֹתֶיהָand-its-hamletsשִׁשִּׁיםsixtyעִירcitiesכׇּל־אֵלֶּהall-theseבְּנֵיthe-sons-ofמָכִירMachirאֲבִי־גִלְעָד׃the-father-of-Gilead

    And he took Geshur, and Aram, with the towns of Jair, from them, with Kenath, and the towns thereof, even threescore cities. All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of Gilead.

24. 24

    וְאַחַרand-thenמוֹת־חֶצְרוֹןHezron-had-diedבְּכָלֵבin-Caleb-אֶפְרָתָהephratahוְאֵשֶׁתand-the-wife-ofחֶצְרוֹןHezronאֲבִיָּהAbijahוַתֵּלֶדand-boreלוֹto-himאֶת־אַשְׁחוּרAshurאֲבִיthe-father-ofתְקוֹעַ׃Tekoa

    And after that Hezron was dead in Caleb-ephratah, then Abiah Hezron's wife bare him Ashur the father of Tekoa.

25. 25

    וַיִּהְיוּand-they-wereבְנֵי־יְרַחְמְאֵלsons-of-Jerahmeelבְּכוֹרthe-firstborn-ofחֶצְרוֹןHezronהַבְּכוֹרthe-firstbornרָםRamוּבוּנָהand-Bunahוָאֹרֶןand-Orenוָאֹצֶםand-Ozemאֲחִיָּה׃Ahijah

    And the sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were, Ram the firstborn, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, and Ahijah.

26. 26

    וַתְּהִיand-wasאִשָּׁהwifeאַחֶרֶתanotherלִירַחְמְאֵלto-Jerahmeelוּשְׁמָהּand-her-nameעֲטָרָהAtarahהִיאsheאֵםthe-mother-ofאוֹנָם׃Onam

    Jerahmeel had also another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.

27. 27

    וַיִּהְיוּand-they-wereבְנֵי־רָםsons-of-Ramבְּכוֹרthe-firstborn-ofיְרַחְמְאֵלJerahmeelמַעַץMaazוְיָמִיןand-Jaminוָעֵקֶר׃and-Eker

    And the sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel were, Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.

28. 28

    וַיִּהְיוּand-they-wereבְנֵי־אוֹנָםsons-of-OnamשַׁמַּיShammaiוְיָדָעand-Jadaוּבְנֵיand-sons-ofשַׁמַּיShammaiנָדָבNadabוַאֲבִישׁוּר׃and-Abishur

    And the sons of Onam were, Shammai, and Jada. And the sons of Shammai; Nadab, and Abishur.

29. 29

    וְשֵׁםand-the-name-ofאֵשֶׁתthe-wife-ofאֲבִישׁוּרAbishurאֲבִיהָיִלAbihailוַתֵּלֶדand-boreלוֹto-himאֶת־אַחְבָּןAhbanוְאֶת־מוֹלִיד׃and-Molid

    And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, and she bare him Ahban, and Molid.

30. 30

    וּבְנֵיand-sons-ofנָדָבNadabסֶלֶדSeledוְאַפָּיִםand-Appaimוַיָּמׇתand-he-diedסֶלֶדSeledלֹאwithoutבָנִים׃children

    And the sons of Nadab; Seled, and Appaim: but Seled died without children.

31. 31

    וּבְנֵיand-sons-ofאַפַּיִםAppaimיִשְׁעִיIshiוּבְנֵיand-sons-ofיִשְׁעִיIshiשֵׁשָׁןSheshanוּבְנֵיand-sons-ofשֵׁשָׁןSheshanאַחְלָי׃Ahlai

    And the sons of Appaim; Ishi. And the sons of Ishi; Sheshan. And the children of Sheshan; Ahlai.

32. 32

    וּבְנֵיand-sons-ofיָדָעJadaאֲחִיthe-brother-ofשַׁמַּיShammaiיֶתֶרJetherוְיוֹנָתָןand-Jonathanוַיָּמׇתand-he-diedיֶתֶרJetherלֹאwithoutבָנִים׃children

    And the sons of Jada the brother of Shammai; Jether, and Jonathan: and Jether died without children.

33. 33

    וּבְנֵיand-sons-ofיוֹנָתָןJonathanפֶּלֶתPeletוְזָזָאand-Zazaאֵלֶּהtheseהָיוּwereבְּנֵיthe-sons-ofיְרַחְמְאֵל׃Jerahmeel

    And the sons of Jonathan; Peleth, and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.

34. 34

    וְלֹא־הָיָהand-not-wasלְשֵׁשָׁןto-Sheshanבָּנִיםsonsכִּיbecauseאִם־בָּנוֹתbut-only-daughtersוּלְשֵׁשָׁןand-to-Sheshanעֶבֶדa-slaveמִצְרִיan-Egyptianוּשְׁמוֹand-his-nameיַרְחָע׃Jarha

    Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha.

35. 35

    וַיִּתֵּןand-gaveשֵׁשָׁןSheshanאֶת־בִּתּוֹhis-daughterלְיַרְחָעto-Jarhaעַבְדּוֹhis-slaveלְאִשָּׁהto-wifeוַתֵּלֶדand-she-boreלוֹto-himאֶת־עַתָּי׃Attai

    And Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant to wife; and she bare him Attai.

36. 36

    וְעַתַּיand-Attaiהֹלִידbegotאֶת־נָתָןNathanוְנָתָןand-Nathanהוֹלִידbegotאֶת־זָבָד׃Zabad

    And Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad,

37. 37

    וְזָבָדand-Zabadהוֹלִידbegotאֶת־אֶפְלָלEphlalוְאֶפְלָלand-Ephlalהוֹלִידbegotאֶת־עוֹבֵד׃Obed

    And Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat Obed,

38. 38

    וְעוֹבֵדand-Obedהוֹלִידbegotאֶת־יֵהוּאJehuוְיֵהוּאand-Jehuהֹלִידbegotאֶת־עֲזַרְיָה׃Azariah

    And Obed begat Jehu, and Jehu begat Azariah,

39. 39

    וַעֲזַרְיָהand-Azariahהֹלִידbegotאֶת־חָלֶץHelezוְחֶלֶץand-Helezהֹלִידbegotאֶת־אֶלְעָשָׂה׃Eleasah

    And Azariah begat Helez, and Helez begat Eleasah,

40. 40

    וְאֶלְעָשָׂהand-Eleasahהֹלִידbegotאֶת־סִסְמָיSisamaiוְסִסְמַיand-Sisamaiהֹלִידbegotאֶת־שַׁלּוּם׃Shallum

    And Eleasah begat Sisamai, and Sisamai begat Shallum,

41. 41

    וְשַׁלּוּםand-Shallumהוֹלִידbegotאֶת־יְקַמְיָהJekamiahוִיקַמְיָהand-Jekamiahהֹלִידbegotאֶת־אֱלִישָׁמָע׃Elishama

    And Shallum begat Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begat Elishama.

42. 42

    וּבְנֵיand-sons-ofכָלֵבCalebאֲחִיthe-brother-ofיְרַחְמְאֵלJerahmeelמֵישָׁעMeshaבְּכֹרוֹhis-firstbornהוּאheאֲבִי־זִיףthe-father-of-Ziphוּבְנֵיand-sons-ofמָרֵשָׁהMareshahאֲבִיthe-father-ofחֶבְרוֹן׃Hebron

    Now the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were, Mesha his firstborn, which was the father of Ziph; and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.

43. 43

    וּבְנֵיand-sons-ofחֶבְרוֹןHebronקֹרַחKorahוְתַפֻּחַand-Tappuahוְרֶקֶםand-Rekemוָשָׁמַע׃and-Shema

    And the sons of Hebron; Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema.

44. 44

    וְשֶׁמַעand-Shemaהוֹלִידbegotאֶת־רַחַםRahamאֲבִיthe-father-ofיׇרְקְעָםJorkeamוְרֶקֶםand-Rekemהוֹלִידbegotאֶת־שַׁמָּי׃Shammai

    And Shema begat Raham, the father of Jorkoam: and Rekem begat Shammai.

45. 45

    וּבֶן־שַׁמַּיand-the-son-of-ShammaiמָעוֹןMaonוּמָעוֹןand-Maonאֲבִיthe-father-ofבֵית־צוּר׃Beth-zur

    And the son of Shammai was Maon: and Maon was the father of Beth-zur.

46. 46

    וְעֵיפָהand-Ephahפִּילֶגֶשׁthe-concubine-ofכָּלֵבCalebיָלְדָהboreאֶת־חָרָןHaranוְאֶת־מוֹצָאand-Mozaוְאֶת־גָּזֵזand-Gazezוְחָרָןand-Haranהֹלִידbegotאֶת־גָּזֵז׃Gazez

    And Ephah, Caleb's concubine, bare Haran, and Moza, and Gazez: and Haran begat Gazez.

47. 47

    וּבְנֵיand-sons-ofיׇהְדָּיJahdaiרֶגֶםRegemוְיוֹתָםand-Jothamוְגֵישָׁןand-Geshanוָפֶלֶטand-Peletוְעֵיפָהand-Ephahוָשָׁעַף׃and-Shaaph

    And the sons of Jahdai; Regem, and Jotham, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.

48. 48

    פִּילֶגֶשׁthe-concubine-ofכָּלֵבCalebמַעֲכָהMaachahיָלַדboreשֶׁבֶרSheberוְאֶת־תִּרְחֲנָה׃and-Tirhanah

    Maachah, Caleb's concubine, bare Sheber, and Tirhanah.

49. 49

    וַתֵּלֶדshe-bore-alsoשַׁעַףShaaphאֲבִיthe-father-ofמַדְמַנָּהMadmannahאֶת־שְׁוָאShevaאֲבִיthe-father-ofמַכְבֵּנָהMachbenahוַאֲבִיand-the-father-ofגִבְעָאGibeaוּבַת־כָּלֵבand-the-daughter-of-Calebעַכְסָה׃Achsah

    She bare also Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbenah, and the father of Gibea: and the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.

    אֵלֶּהtheseהָיוּwereבְּנֵיthe-sons-ofכָלֵבCalebבֶּן־חוּרson-of-Hurבְּכוֹרthe-firstborn-ofאֶפְרָתָהEphratahשׁוֹבָלShobalאֲבִיthe-father-ofקִרְיַתKiriath-יְעָרִים׃jearim

    These were the sons of Caleb the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah; Shobal the father of Kirjath-jearim,

51. 51

    שַׂלְמָאSalmaאֲבִיthe-father-ofבֵית־לָחֶםBeth-lehemחָרֵףHarephאֲבִיthe-father-ofבֵית־גָּדֵר׃Beth-gader

    Salma the father of Beth-lehem, Hareph the father of Beth-gader.

52. 52

    וַיִּהְיוּand-they-wereבָנִיםsonsלְשׁוֹבָלto-Shobalאֲבִיthe-father-ofקִרְיַתKiriath-יְעָרִיםjearimהָרֹאֶהHaroehחֲצִיhalfהַמְּנֻחוֹת׃of-the-Menuhoth

    And Shobal the father of Kirjath-jearim had sons; Haroeh, and half of the Manahethites.

53. 53

    וּמִשְׁפְּחוֹתand-the-families-ofקִרְיַתKiriath-יְעָרִיםjearimהַיִּתְרִיthe-Ithritesוְהַפּוּתִיand-the-Puhitesוְהַשֻּׁמָתִיand-the-Shumathitesוְהַמִּשְׁרָעִיand-the-Mishraitesמֵאֵלֶּהof-themיָצְאוּcameהַצָּרְעָתִיthe-Zorathitesוְהָאֶשְׁתָּאֻלִי׃and-the-Eshtaolites

    And the families of Kirjath-jearim; the Ithrites, and the Puhites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zareathites, and the Eshtaulites.

54. 54

    בְּנֵיthe-sons-ofשַׂלְמָאSalmaבֵּיתBeth-לֶחֶםlehemוּנְטוֹפָתִיand-the-NetophathitesעַטְרוֹתAtaroth-בֵּיתbeth-יוֹאָבjoabוַחֲצִיand-one-half-ofהַמָּנַחְתִּיthe-Manahathitesהַצׇּרְעִי׃the-Zorites

    The sons of Salma; Beth-lehem, and the Netophathites, Ataroth, the house of Joab, and half of the Manahethites, the Zorites.

55. 55

    וּמִשְׁפְּחוֹתand-the-families-ofסֹפְרִיםthe-scribes(ישבו)[יֹשְׁבֵי]who-dwelt-atיַעְבֵּץJabezתִּרְעָתִיםthe-Tirathitesשִׁמְעָתִיםthe-Shimeathitesשׂוּכָתִיםthe-Suchathitesהֵמָּהthese-areהַקִּינִיםthe-Kenitesהַבָּאִיםwho-cameמֵחַמַּתof-Hammathאֲבִיthe-father-ofבֵית־רֵכָב׃the-house-of-Rechab

    And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.
