   It is the duty of the Lord's clerk, whom he has appointed, to keep a history, and a general church record of all things that transpire in Zion, and of all those who consecrate properties, and receive inheritances legally from the bishop;

   וְגַםve/GAMand alsoעַלalofדַּרְכֵיdar/KHEmannerחַיֵּיהֶםchay/ye/HEMof their lifeאֱמוּנָתָםe/mu/na/TAMtheir faithוּמַעֲשֵׂיהֶםu/ma/a/se/HEMand worksוְגַםve/GAMand alsoעַלalofהַסּוֹרְרִיםhas/sor/RIMthe apostatesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoסוֹרְרִיםsor/RIMapostatizeאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterקַבְּלָםkab/be/LAMtheir receivingאֶת־נַחֲלוֹתֵיהֶם׃et-na/cha/lo/te/HEMtheir inheritances

   And also their manner of life, their faith, and works; and also of the apostates who apostatize after receiving their inheritances.

   נֶגֶדNE/gedcontrary toרְצוֹןre/TSONthe willוּמִצְוַתu/mits/VATand commandmentאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godהוּאhuit isכִּיkithatאֵלֶּהEL/lethoseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאֵינָםe/NAMnotמְקַבְּלִיםme/kab/be/LIMwho receiveאֶת־נַחֲלָתָםet-na/cha/la/TAMtheir inheritanceבִּתְרוּמָהbit/ru/MAby consecrationלְפִיle/FIagreeable toתּוֹרָתוֹto/ra/TOhis lawאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנָתַןna/TANhe gaveלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיְעַשֵּׂרye/as/SERhe may titheאֶת־עַמּוֹet-am/MOhis peopleלַהֲכִינָםla/ha/khi/NAMto prepare themלְיוֹםle/YOMagainst the dayהַנָּקָםhan/na/KAMof vengeanceוְהַבְּעֵרָהve/hab/be/e/RAand burningשְׁמוֹתֵיהֶםshe/mo/te/HEMtheir namesיֵרָשְׁמוּye/ra/she/MUshould be enrolledעִםimwithעַםamthe peopleאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMof God

   It is contrary to the will and commandment of God that those who receive not their inheritance by consecration, agreeable to his law, which he has given, that he may tithe his people, to prepare them against the day of vengeance and burning, should have their names enrolled with the people of God.

   וְגַםve/GAMneitherהִתְיַחְשָׂםhit/yach/SAMtheir genealogyלֹאlonotיִשָּׁמֵרyish/sha/MERis to be keptוְלֹאve/LOorיִמָּצֵאyim/ma/TSEto be hadבְּכׇלbe/KHOLwhere it may be found on anyזִכְרֹנוֹתzikh/ro/NOTof the recordsאוֹoorתּוֹלְדוֹתtol/DOThistoryהַכְּנֵסִיָּה׃hak/ke/ne/siy/YAof the church

   Neither is their genealogy to be kept, or to be had where it may be found on any of the records or history of the church.

   שְׁמוֹתֵיהֶםshe/mo/te/HEMtheir namesלֹאlonotיִמָּצְאוּyim/ma/tse/Ushall be foundוְלֹאve/LOneitherשְׁמוֹתshe/MOTthe namesהָאָבוֹתha/a/VOTof the fathersוְלֹאve/LOnorשְׁמוֹתshe/MOTthe namesהַבָּנִיםhab/ba/NIMof the childrenכְּתוּבִיםke/tu/VIMwrittenבְּסֵפֶרbe/SE/ferin the bookתּוֹרַתto/RATof the lawאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godנְאֻםne/UMsaysיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordצְבָאוֹת׃Tse/va/OTof Hosts

   Their names shall not be found, neither the names of the fathers, nor the names of the children written in the book of the law of God, saith the Lord of Hosts.

   אָכֵןa/KHENyeaכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysקוֹלkolthe voiceדְּמָמָהde/ma/MAof a stillדַקָּהdak/KAsmallהַלּוֹחֵשׁhal/lo/CHESHwhich whispersוְחֹדֵרve/cho/DERand pierces throughבְּכׇלbe/KHOLallדָּבָרda/VARthingsוְלִפְעָמִיםve/lif/a/MIMand often timesהוּאhuitמַרְעִידmar/IDmakes to quakeאֶת־עַצְמוֹתַיet-ats/mo/TAYmy bonesבְּהִתְגַּלּוֹתוֹbe/hit/gal/lo/TOwhile it makes manifestלֵאמֹר׃le/MORsaying

   Yea, thus saith the still small voice, which whispereth through and pierceth all things, and often times it maketh my bones to quake while it maketh manifest, saying:

   וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beאֲנִיa/NIthat IיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֶשְׁלַחesh/LACHwill sendאֶחָדe/CHADoneגִּבּוֹרgib/BORmightyוְחָזָקve/cha/ZAKand strongאֹחֵזo/CHEZholdingבְּשֵׁבֶטbe/SHE/vetthe scepterהַכֹּחַhak/KO/achof powerבְּיָדוֹbe/ya/DOin his handלָבוּשׁla/VUSHclothed withאוֹרorlightלִכְסוּתlikh/SUTfor a coveringאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseפִּיוpivmouthיֹאמַרyo/MARshall utterדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMwordsדִּבְרֵיdiv/REwordsעוֹלָםo/LAMeternalוּמֵעָיוu/me/AYVwhile his bowelsיִהְיוּyih/YUshall beמַעְיַןma/YANa fountainאֱמֶתe/METof truthלְכוֹנֵןle/kho/NENto set in orderאֶת־בֵּיתet-betthe houseאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godוּלְחַלֵּקu/le/chal/LEKand to arrangeבְּגוֹרָלbe/go/RALby lotאֶת־נַחֲלוֹתet-na/cha/LOTthe inheritancesהַקְּדוֹשִׁיםhak/ke/do/SHIMof the saintsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseשְׁמוֹתֵיהֶםshe/mo/te/HEMnamesנִמְצָאִיםnim/tsa/IMare foundוּשְׁמוֹתu/she/MOTand the namesאֲבוֹתֵיהֶםa/vo/te/HEMof their fathersוּבְנֵיהֶםu/ve/ne/HEMand of their childrenרְשׁוּמִיםre/shu/MIMenrolledבְּסֵפֶרbe/SE/ferin the bookתּוֹרַתto/RATof the lawאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMof God

   And it shall come to pass that I, the Lord God, will send one mighty and strong, holding the scepter of power in his hand, clothed with light for a covering, whose mouth shall utter words, eternal words; while his bowels shall be a fountain of truth, to set in order the house of God, and to arrange by lot the inheritances of the saints whose names are found, and the names of their fathers, and of their children, enrolled in the book of the law of God;

   וְאוֹתוֹve/o/TOwhile thatאִישׁishmanאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoנִקְרָאnik/RAwas calledמֵאֵתme/ETofאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodוְהׇפְקַדve/hof/KADand appointedהַשֹּׁלֵחַhash/sho/LE/achthat puts forthיָדוֹya/DOhis handלִתְמֹךְlit/MOKHto steadyבַּאֲרוֹןba/a/RONthe arkהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMof Godיִפֹּלyip/POLshall fallבְּחֵץbe/CHETSby the shaftהַמָּוֶתham/MA/vetof deathכְּעֵץke/ETSlike as a treeהַמֻּכֶּהham/muk/KEthat is smittenבְּחֵץbe/CHETSby the shaftהַבָּרָקhab/ba/RAKof the lightningהַלּוֹהֵט׃hal/lo/HETvivid

   While that man, who was called of God and appointed, that putteth forth his hand to steady the ark of God, shall fall by the shaft of death, like as a tree that is smitten by the vivid shaft of lightning.

   וְכׇלve/KHOLand allאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthey whoלֹאlonotנִמְצָאִיםnim/tsa/IMare foundכְּתוּבִיםke/tu/VIMwrittenבְּסֵפֶרbe/SE/ferin the bookהַזִּכָּרוֹןhaz/zik/ka/RONof remembranceלֹאlononeיִמְצְאוּyim/tse/Ushall findנַחֲלָהna/cha/LAinheritanceבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin dayהַהוּאha/HUthatכִּי־אִםki-imbutיִכָּרְתוּyik/ka/re/TUthey shall be cut asunderוְחֶלְקָםve/chel/KAMand their portionיוּשַׂםyu/SAMshall be appointedלָהֶםla/HEMthemבֵּיןbenamongאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthose whoלֹא־אֵמֻןlo-e/MUNunbelieversבָּםbamareאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereשָׁםshamthereמִסְפֵּדmis/PEDare wailingוַחֲרֹקva/cha/ROKand gnashingשִׁנָּיִם׃shin/na/YIMof teeth

   And all they who are not found written in the book of remembrance shall find none inheritance in that day, but they shall be cut asunder, and their portion shall be appointed them among unbelievers, where are wailing and gnashing of teeth.

    הַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseלֹאlonotאֲנִיa/NIIאוֹמֵרo/MERsayמִנַּפְשִׁיmin/naf/SHIof myselfלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordדֹּבֵרdo/VERspeaksכֵּןkensoגַּםgamalsoיְקַיֵּם׃ye/kay/YEMhe will fulfil

    These things I say not of myself; therefore, as the Lord speaketh, he will also fulfil.

    וַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand they whoמִןminareהַכְּהֻנָּהhak/Ke/hun/NAof the PriesthoodהַגְּבֹהָהHag/ge/vo/HAHighאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseשְׁמוֹתֵיהֶםshe/mo/te/HEMnamesלֹאlonotנִמְצָאִיםnim/tsa/IMare foundכְּתוּבִיםke/tu/VIMwrittenבְּסֵפֶרbe/SE/ferin the bookהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAof the lawאוֹoorאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנִמְצְאוּnim/tse/Uare foundסֹרְרִיםsor/RIMto have apostatizedאוֹoorנִכְרָתִיםnikh/ra/TIMto have been cut offמִןminfromהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAthe churchוְכֵןve/KHENas well asהַכְּהֻנָּהhak/ke/hun/NAthe priesthoodהַקְּטַנָּהhak/ke/tan/NAlesserאוֹoorהַחֲבֵרִיםha/cha/ve/RIMthe membersבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin dayהַהוּאha/HUthatלֹאlonotיִמְצְאוּyim/tse/Ushall findנַחֲלָהna/cha/LAan inheritanceבֵּיןbenamongקְדוֹשֵׁיke/do/SHEthe saintsעֶלְיוֹן׃El/YONof the Most High

    And they who are of the High Priesthood, whose names are not found written in the book of the law, or that are found to have apostatized, or to have been cut off from the church, as well as the lesser priesthood, or the members, in that day shall not find an inheritance among the saints of the Most High;

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeיֵעָשֶׂהye/a/SEit shall be doneלָהֶםla/HEMunto themכִּבְנֵיkiv/NEas unto the childrenהַכֹּהֵןhak/ko/HENof the priestכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasנִמְצָאnim/TSAwill be foundכָּתוּבka/TUVrecordedבְּעֶזְרָאbe/Ez/RAin Ezraהַפֶּרֶקhap/PE/rekchapterהַשֵּׁנִיhash/she/NIthe secondהַפְּסוּקִיםhap/pe/su/KIMversesשִׁשִּׁיםshish/SHIMsixtyוְאֶחָדve/e/CHADfirstוְשִׁשִּׁיםve/shish/SHIMandוּשְׁנַיִם׃u/she/na/YIMsecond

    Therefore, it shall be done unto them as unto the children of the priest, as will be found recorded in the second chapter and sixty-first and second verses of Ezra.
