   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלַיe/LAYunto meהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe LordיוֹחָנָןYo/cha/NANJohnיְדִידִיye/di/DImy belovedמַה־תַּחְפֹּץma-tach/POTSwhat do you desireכִּיkiforאִםimifתִּשְׁאַלtish/ALyou askכׇּל־אֲשֶׁרkol-a/SHERwhateverתַּחְפֹּץtach/POTSyou willיִנָּתֵןyin/na/TENit shall be givenלְךָ׃le/KHAyou

   And the Lord said unto me: John, my beloved, what desirest thou? For if you shall ask what you will, it shall be granted unto you.

   וָאֹמַרva/o/MARand I saidלוֹloto himאֲדֹנִיa/do/NImy Lordתֶּן־לִיten-ligive meכֹחַKHO/achpowerעַלaloverהַמָּוֶתham/MA/vetthe deathלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatאֶחְיֶהech/YEI may liveוְאָבִיאve/a/VIand bringנְפָשׁוֹתne/fa/SHOTsoulsאֵלֶיךָ׃e/le/KHAunto you

   And I said unto him: Lord, give unto me power over death, that I may live and bring souls unto thee.

   וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֵלַיe/LAYunto meהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe Lordאָמֵןa/MENverilyאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלְךָle/KHAto youיַעַןYA/anbecauseחָפַצְתָּcha/FATS/tayou desiredזֹאתzotthisתִּשָּׁאֵרtish/sha/ERyou shall remainעַדaduntilבּוֹאִיBO/imy comingבִּכְבוֹדִיbikh/vo/DIin my gloryוְתִנָּבֵאve/tin/na/VEand you shall prophesyלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeגּוֹיִםgo/YIMnationsוּמִשְׁפָּחוֹתu/mish/pa/CHOTand familiesוּלְשֹׁנוֹתu/le/sho/NOTand tonguesוְעַמִּים׃ve/am/MIMand peoples

   And the Lord said unto me: Verily, verily, I say unto thee, because thou desirest this thou shalt tarry until I come in my glory, and shalt prophesy before nations, kindreds, tongues and people.

   And for this cause the Lord said unto Peter: If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? For he desired of me that he might bring souls unto me, but thou desiredst that thou mightest speedily come unto me in my kingdom.

   I say unto thee, Peter, this was a good desire; but my beloved has desired that he might do more, or a greater work yet among men than what he has before done.

   אָכֵןa/KHENyeaהוּאhuheקִבֵּלkib/BELhas undertakenעָלָיוa/LAYVupon himselfמְלָאכָהme/la/KHAa workגְדוֹלָהge/do/LAgreatיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeאֲשִׂימֶנּוּa/si/MEN/nuI will make himכְּאֵשׁke/ESHas fireלֹהֶטֶתlo/HE/tetflamingוּכְמַלְאָךְu/khe/mal/AKHand as an angelמְשָׁרֵתme/sha/RETministeringיְשָׁרֵתye/sha/REThe shall ministerלְיוֹרְשֵׁיle/yor/SHEfor heirsהַיְשׁוּעָהhay/shu/Aof the salvationהַיֹּשְׁבִיםhay/yosh/VIMthose dwellingעַלaluponהָאָרֶץ׃ha/a/RETSthe earth

   Yea, he has undertaken a greater work; therefore I will make him as flaming fire and a ministering angel; he shall minister for those who shall be heirs of salvation who dwell on the earth.

   וַאֲשִׂימְךָva/a/si/me/KHAand I will make youלְשָׁרֵתle/sha/RETto ministerלוֹloto himוּלְאָחִיךָu/le/a/CHI/khaand to your brotherיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJamesוְלִשְׁלָשְׁתְּכֶםve/lish/losh/te/KHEMand to you threeאֶתֵּןet/TENI will giveאֶת־הַכֹּחַet-hak/KO/achthe powerהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְאֶת־מַפְתְּחוֹתve/ET-maf/te/CHOTand keysהָעֲבוֹדָהha/a/vo/DAof the ministryהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisעַדaduntilבּוֹאִי׃bo/Imy coming

   And I will make thee to minister for him and for thy brother James; and unto you three I will give this power and the keys of this ministry until I come.

   אָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMto youשְׁנֵיכֶםshe/ne/KHEMyou bothתְּקַבְּלוּte/kab/be/LUshall receiveכְּחֶפְצְכֶםke/chef/tse/KHEMaccording to your desiresכִּיkiforשְׁנֵיכֶםshe/ne/KHEMyou bothשְׂמֵחִיםse/me/CHIMrejoiceבַּאֲשֶׁרba/a/SHERin whatחֲפַצְתֶּם׃cha/fats/TEMyou desired

   Verily I say unto you, ye shall both have according to your desires, for ye both joy in that which ye have desired.
