   Hearken, O ye people, and open your hearts and give ear from afar; and listen, you that call yourselves the people of the Lord, and hear the word of the Lord and his will concerning you.

   Yea, verily, I say, hear the word of him whose anger is kindled against the wicked and rebellious;

   הֶחָפֵץhe/cha/FETSwho is willingלָקַחַתla/KA/chatto takeגַּםgamevenאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomיַחְפֹּץyach/POTShe willלָקַחַתla/KA/chatto takeוּמְחַיֶּהu/me/chay/YEand preserves in lifeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomיַחְפֹּץyach/POTShe willלְחַיּוֹת׃le/chay/YOTto preserve

   Who willeth to take even them whom he will take, and preserveth in life them whom he will preserve;

   הַבּוֹנֶהhab/bo/NEwho buildsלְפִיle/FIaccording toרְצוֹנוֹre/tso/NOhis willוְחֶפְצוֹve/chef/TSOand pleasureוּמַשְׁחִיתu/mash/CHITand destroysכְּחֶפְצוֹke/chef/TSOas he pleasesוְיָכוֹלve/ya/KHOLand is ableלְהַשְׁלִיךְle/hash/LIKHto castהַנֶּפֶשׁhan/NE/feshthe soulלִשְׁאוֹל׃lish/OLdown to hell

   Who buildeth up at his own will and pleasure; and destroyeth when he pleases, and is able to cast the soul down to hell.

   הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordנוֹתֵןno/TENutterקוֹלִיko/LImy voiceוְיִשָּׁמַע׃ve/yish/sha/MAand it shall be obeyed

   Behold, I, the Lord, utter my voice, and it shall be obeyed.

   לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayיִשָּׁמְרוּyish/sha/me/RUlet take heedהָרְשָׁעִיםha/re/sha/IMthe wickedוְיִירְאוּve/yi/re/Uand let fearהַמּוֹרְדִיםham/mor/DIMthe rebelliousוְיֶחֶרְדוּve/ye/cher/DUand trembleוְיֶחֱשׁוּve/ye/che/SHUand let hold their lipsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthose whoלֹא־אֵמֻןlo-e/MUNare unbelievingבָּםbamin themכִּיkiforיוֹםyomthe dayהַזַּעַםhaz/ZA/amof wrathיָבוֹאya/VOshall comeעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themכַּסּוּפָהkas/su/FAas a whirlwindוְיֵדַעve/ye/DAand shall knowכׇּלkolallבָּשָׂרba/SARfleshכִּיkithatאֲנִיa/NII amאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMGod

   Wherefore, verily I say, let the wicked take heed, and let the rebellious fear and tremble; and let the unbelieving hold their lips, for the day of wrath shall come upon them as a whirlwind, and all flesh shall know that I am God.

   וְהַמְבַקֵּשׁve/ham/vak/KESHand he that seeksאוֹתוֹתo/TOTsignsיִרְאֶהyir/Eshall seeאוֹתוֹתo/TOTsignsאַךְakhbutלֹאlonotלִישׁוּעָה׃li/shu/Aunto salvation

   And he that seeketh signs shall see signs, but not unto salvation.

   אָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youיֵשׁyeshthere areבָּכֶםba/KHEMamong youהַמְבַקְּשִׁיםham/vak/ke/SHIMthose who seekאוֹתוֹתo/TOTsignsוְהָיוּve/ha/YUand there have beenכָאֵלֶּהkha/EL/lesuchגַּםgamevenמֵרֵאשִׁית׃me/re/SHITfrom the beginning

   Verily, I say unto you, there are those among you who seek signs, and there have been such even from the beginning;

   אַךְakhbutהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֵיןennotאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithבָאָהva/Acomesמֵאוֹתוֹתme/o/TOTby signsכִּי־אִםki-imbutאוֹתוֹתo/TOTsignsהוֹלְכִיםhol/KHIMfollowאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterהַמַּאֲמִינִים׃ham/ma/a/mi/NIMthose who believe

   But, behold, faith cometh not by signs, but signs follow those that believe.

    אָכֵןa/KHENyeaאוֹתוֹתo/TOTsignsבָּאִיםba/IMcomeמֵאֱמוּנָהme/e/mu/NAby faithלֹאlonotמֵרְצוֹןmer/TSONby the willבְּנֵיbe/NEof the childrenאָדָםa/DAMof menוְלֹאve/LOnorכְּחֶפְצָםke/chef/TSAMas they pleaseכִּי־אִםki-imbutמֵרְצוֹןmer/TSONby the willאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMof God

    Yea, signs come by faith, not by the will of men, nor as they please, but by the will of God.

    אָכֵןa/KHENyeaאוֹתוֹתo/TOTsignsבָּאִיםba/IMcomeמֵאֱמוּנָהme/e/mu/NAby faithלְמַעֲשִׂיםle/ma/a/SIMunto worksגְּדוֹלִיםge/do/LIMmightyכִּיkiforבְלֹאve/LOwithoutאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithאֵיןennoאָדָםa/DAMmanמוֹצֵאmo/TSEfindsחֵןchenfavorבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyesאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand he with whomכּוֹעֵסko/ESis angryעָלָיוa/LAYVwith himאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nuhe is notחָפֵץcha/FETSwell pleasedבּוֹbowith himלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeלָהֶםla/HEMunto themאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nuhe does notמַרְאֶהmar/Eshowאוֹתוֹתo/TOTsignsרַקrakonlyבְּחֵמָהbe/che/MAin wrathלְדִינָם׃le/di/NAMunto their condemnation

    Yea, signs come by faith, unto mighty works, for without faith no man pleaseth God; and with whom God is angry he is not well pleased; wherefore, unto such he showeth no signs, only in wrath unto their condemnation.

    Wherefore, I, the Lord, am not pleased with those among you who have sought after signs and wonders for faith, and not for the good of men unto my glory.

    אַךְakhneverthelessאֲנִיa/NIIנוֹתֵןno/TENgiveמִצְוֹתmits/VOTcommandmentsוְרַבִּיםve/rab/BIMand manyפָּנוּpa/NUturned awayמִמִּצְוֹתַיmim/mits/vo/TAYfrom my commandmentsוְלֹאve/LOand notשְׁמָרוּם׃she/ma/RUMkept them

    Nevertheless, I give commandments, and many have turned away from my commandments and have not kept them.

14. 14

    הָיוּha/YUthere wereבֵינֵיכֶםve/ne/KHEMamong youנֹאֲפִיםno/a/FIMadulterersוְנֹאֲפוֹתve/no/a/FOTand adulteressesמֵהֶםme/HEMsome of whomפָּנוּpa/NUturned awayמִכֶּםmik/KEMfrom youוַאֲחֵרִיםva/a/che/RIMand othersנִשְׁאָרִיםnish/a/RIMremainאִתְּכֶםit/te/KHEMwith youאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיִגָּלוּyig/ga/LUshall be revealedאַחֲרֵי־כֵן׃a/cha/RE-khenhereafter

    There were among you adulterers and adulteresses; some of whom have turned away from you, and others remain with you that hereafter shall be revealed.

    אֵלֶּהEL/lelet suchיִשָּׁמְרוּyish/sha/me/RUbewareוְיָשׁוּבוּve/ya/SHU/vuand repentבִּמְהֵרָהbim/he/RAspeedilyפֶּןpenlestיָבוֹאya/VOshall comeעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themהַמִּשְׁפָּטham/mish/PATjudgmentכַּפַּחkap/PACHas a snareוְאִוַּלְתָּםve/iv/val/TAMand their follyתִּגָּלֶהtig/ga/LEshall be made manifestוּמַעֲשֵׂיהֶםu/ma/a/se/HEMand their worksיֵלְכוּyel/KHUshall followאַחֲרֵיהֶםa/cha/re/HEMafter themלְעֵינֵיle/e/NEin the eyesהָעָם׃ha/AMof the people

    Let such beware and repent speedily, lest judgment shall come upon them as a snare, and their folly shall be made manifest, and their works shall follow them in the eyes of the people.

16. 16

    וְאָמֵןve/a/MENand verilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI saidלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהַמַּבִּיטham/mab/BIThe that looksעַלaluponאִשָּׁהish/SHAa womanלְחׇמְדָהּle/chom/DAto lust after herאוֹoorאִםimif anyיְנָאֲפוּye/na/a/FUshall commit adulteryבְּלִבָּםbe/lib/BAMin their heartsלֹאlonotיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall haveלָהֶםla/HEMunto themהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe Spiritכִּי־אִםki-imbutיְכַחֲשׁוּye/kha/cha/SHUthey shall denyבָאֱמוּנָהva/e/mu/NAthe faithוְיִפְחָדוּ׃ve/yif/cha/DUand shall fear

    And verily I say unto you, as I have said before, he that looketh on a woman to lust after her, or if any shall commit adultery in their hearts, they shall not have the Spirit, but shall deny the faith and shall fear.

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tisaidכִּיkithatרַכֵּי־הַלֵּבrak/KE-hal/LEVthe faint of heartוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand those whoלֹא־אֵמֻןlo-e/MUNare unbelievingבָּםbamin themוְכׇלve/KHOLand allהַמְכַזְּבִיםham/khaz/ze/VIMthe liarsוְכׇלve/KHOLand everyאוֹהֵבo/HEVone who lovesוְעוֹשֶׂהve/o/SEand makesשֶׁקֶרSHE/kera lieוְהַזּוֹנֶהve/haz/zo/NEand the whoremongerוְהַמְכַשֵּׁףve/ham/khash/SHEFand the sorcererחֶלְקָםchel/KAMtheir partיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beבָּאֲגָםba/a/GAMin that lakeהַבּוֹעֵרhab/bo/ERthat burnsבְּאֵשׁbe/ESHwith fireוְגׇפְרִיתve/gof/RITand brimstoneאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהוּאhuisהַמָּוֶתham/MA/vetthe deathהַשֵּׁנִי׃hash/she/NIthe second

    Wherefore, I, the Lord, have said that the fearful, and the unbelieving, and all liars, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie, and the whoremonger, and the sorcerer, shall have their part in that lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

18. 18

    אָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלֹאlonotיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beלָהֶםla/HEMunto themחֵלֶקCHE/lekpartבַּתְּחִיָּהbat/te/chiy/YAin the resurrectionהָרִאשׁוֹנָה׃ha/ri/sho/NAthe first

    Verily I say, that they shall not have part in the first resurrection.

19. 19

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youאֵינְכֶםe/ne/KHEMyou are notנִצְדָּקִיםnits/da/KIMjustifiedכִּיkibecauseהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseבֵּינֵיכֶם׃be/ne/KHEMare among you

    And now behold, I, the Lord, say unto you that ye are not justified, because these things are among you.

20. 20

    אַךְakhneverthelessהַמַּחֲזִיקham/ma/cha/ZIKhe that enduresבֶּאֱמוּנָהbe/e/mu/NAin faithוְעֹשֶׂהve/O/seand doesרְצוֹנִיre/tso/NImy willהוּאhuthe sameיִגְבַּרyig/BARshall overcomeוִיקַבֵּלvi/kab/BELand shall receiveנַחֲלָהna/cha/LAan inheritanceעַלaluponהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthבְּבוֹאbe/VOwhen shall comeיוֹםyomthe dayהַתְּמוּרָה׃hat/te/mu/RAof transfiguration

    Nevertheless, he that endureth in faith and doeth my will, the same shall overcome, and shall receive an inheritance upon the earth when the day of transfiguration shall come;

21. 21

    כַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenתְּשֻׁנֶּהte/shun/NEshall be transfiguredהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthגַּםgamevenלְפִיle/FIaccording toהַתַּבְנִיתhat/tav/NITthe patternאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהָרְאֲתָהha/re/a/TAwas shownלִשְׁלוּחַיlish/lu/CHAYunto my apostlesעַלaluponהָהָרha/HARthe mountאֲשֶׁרa/SHERof whichמְלֹאוֹme/lo/Othe fulnessעוֹדodyetלֹאlonotקִבַּלְתֶּם׃kib/bal/TEMyou received

    When the earth shall be transfigured, even according to the pattern which was shown unto mine apostles upon the mount; of which account the fulness ye have not yet received.

22. 22

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI saidכִּיkithatאוֹדִיעַo/DI/aI would make knownרְצוֹנִיre/tso/NImy willלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאוֹדִיעֶנּוּo/di/en/NUI will make it knownלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youלֹאlonotבְּדֶרֶךְbe/DE/rekhby way ofמִצְוָהmits/VAcommandmentכִּיkiforרַבִּיםrab/BIMthere are many whoאֵינָםe/NAMdo notשֹׁמְרִיםshom/RIMobserveלִשְׁמֹרlish/MORto keepמִצְוֹתָי׃mits/vo/TAYmy commandments

    And now, verily I say unto you, that as I said that I would make known my will unto you, behold I will make it known unto you, not by the way of commandment, for there are many who observe not to keep my commandments.

23. 23

    אַךְakhbutלַשֹּׁמֵרlash/sho/MERunto him that keepsמִצְוֹתַיmits/vo/TAYmy commandmentsאֶתֵּןet/TENI will giveסוֹדוֹתso/DOTthe mysteriesמַלְכוּתִיmal/khu/TIof my kingdomוְהֵםve/HEMand the sameיִהְיוּyih/YUshall beבוֹvoin himמַעְיַןma/YANa wellמַיִםMA/yimof waterחַיִּיםchay/YIMlivingנוֹבֵעַno/VE/aspringing upלְחַיֵּיle/chay/YEunto lifeעוֹלָם׃o/LAMeverlasting

    But unto him that keepeth my commandments I will give the mysteries of my kingdom, and the same shall be in him a well of living water, springing up unto everlasting life.

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdזֶהzethis isרְצוֹןre/TSONthe willיְהוָהAdonaiof the Lordאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godעַלalconcerningקְדוֹשָׁיוke/do/SHAYVhis saintsכִּיkithatיֵאָסְפוּye/a/se/FUthey should assembleיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherלְאֶרֶץle/E/retsunto the landצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONof Zionלֹאlonotבְחִפָּזוֹןve/chip/pa/ZONin hasteפֶּןpenlestתִּהְיֶהtih/YEthere should beמְבוּכָהme/vu/KHAconfusionהַמְּבִיאָהham/me/vi/Awhich bringsמַגֵּפָה׃mag/ge/FApestilence

    And now, behold, this is the will of the Lord your God concerning his saints, that they should assemble themselves together unto the land of Zion, not in haste, lest there should be confusion, which bringeth pestilence.

25. 25

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֶרֶץE/retsthe landצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONof Zionאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordמַחֲזִיקָהּma/cha/zi/KAhold itבְּיָדַי׃be/ya/DAYin my hands

    Behold, the land of Zion—I, the Lord, hold it in mine own hands;

26. 26

    אַךְakhneverthelessאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordנוֹתֵןno/TENrenderלְקֵיסָרle/Ke/SARunto Caesarאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthings whichלְקֵיסָר׃le/Ke/SARare Caesar's

    Nevertheless, I, the Lord, render unto Cæsar the things which are Cæsar's.

27. 27

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordחָפֵץcha/FETSwillכִּיkithatתִּקְנוּtik/NUyou should purchaseהָאֲרָצוֹתha/a/ra/TSOTthe landsלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִהְיֶהyih/YEmay beלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youיִתְרוֹןyit/RONan advantageעַלaloverהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתִּהְיֶהtih/YEyou may haveלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youגְּאֻלָּהge/ul/LAclaimעַלalonהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldלְבַלle/VALthat notיִתְעוֹרְרוּyit/or/RUthey be stirred upלָכַעַס׃la/kha/ASunto anger

    Wherefore, I the Lord will that you should purchase the lands, that you may have advantage of the world, that you may have claim on the world, that they may not be stirred up unto anger.

    כִּיkiforהַשָּׂטָןHas/sa/TANSatanנוֹתֵןno/TENputs itבְּלִבָּםbe/lib/BAMin their heartsלָכַעַסla/KHA/asto angerעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMagainst youוְלִשְׁפֹּךְve/lish/POKHand to the sheddingדָּם׃damof blood

    For Satan putteth it into their hearts to anger against you, and to the shedding of blood.

29. 29

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeאֶרֶץE/retsthe landצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONof Zionלֹאlonotתֻּשַּׂגtus/SAGshall be obtainedכִּי־אִםki-imbutבְּמִקְנָהbe/mik/NAby purchaseאוֹoorבְּדָםbe/DAMby bloodוְאִם־לֹאve/IM-lootherwiseאֵיןenthere is noנַחֲלָהna/cha/LAinheritanceלָכֶם׃la/KHEMfor you

    Wherefore, the land of Zion shall not be obtained but by purchase or by blood, otherwise there is none inheritance for you.

30. 30

    וְאִםve/IMand ifבְּמִקְנָהbe/mik/NAby purchaseהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאַשְׁרֵיכֶם׃ash/re/KHEMyou are blessed

    And if by purchase, behold you are blessed;

31. 31

    וְאִםve/IMand ifבְּדָםbe/DAMby bloodבַּאֲשֶׁרba/a/SHERasאֲסוּרִיםa/su/RIMforbidden areאַתֶּםat/TEMyouלִשְׁפֹּךְlish/POKHto shedדָּםdambloodהִנֵּהhin/NEloאֹיְבֵיכֶםoy/ve/KHEMyour enemiesעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMare upon youוְתֻכּוּve/tuk/KUand you shall be scourgedמֵעִירme/IRfrom cityלְעִירle/IRto cityוּמִבֵּיתu/mib/BETand from the houseכְּנֶסֶתke/NE/setof synagogueלְבֵיתle/VETto the houseכְּנֶסֶתke/NE/setof synagogueוְרַקve/RAKand onlyמְעַטִּיםme/at/TIMfewיַעַמְדוּya/am/DUshall standלְקַבֵּלle/kab/BELto receiveנַחֲלָה׃na/cha/LAan inheritance

    And if by blood, as you are forbidden to shed blood, lo, your enemies are upon you, and ye shall be scourged from city to city, and from synagogue to synagogue, and but few shall stand to receive an inheritance.

    אֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordכּוֹעֵסko/ESam angryעַלalwithהָרְשָׁעִיםha/re/sha/IMthe wickedאֲנִיa/NIIמוֹנֵעַmo/NE/aam withholdingרוּחִיRu/CHImy Spiritמִיּוֹשְׁבֵיmiy/yosh/VEfrom the inhabitantsהָאָרֶץ׃ha/a/RETSof the earth

    I, the Lord, am angry with the wicked; I am holding my Spirit from the inhabitants of the earth.

    I have sworn in my wrath, and decreed wars upon the face of the earth, and the wicked shall slay the wicked, and fear shall come upon every man;

34. 34

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoהַקְּדוֹשִׁיםhak/ke/do/SHIMthe saintsכִּמְעַטkim/AThardlyיִמָּלְטוּyim/ma/le/TUshall escapeאַךְakhneverthelessאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordעִמָּםim/MAMam with themוְאֵרֵדve/e/REDand I will come downבַּשָּׁמַיִםbash/sha/MA/yimin heavenמִלִּפְנֵיmil/lif/NEfrom the presenceאָבִיA/VIof my Fatherוְאֹכַלve/o/KHALand I will consumeהָרְשָׁעִיםha/re/sha/IMthe wickedבְּאֵשׁbe/ESHwith fireאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹאlonotתִכְבֶּה׃tikh/BEshall be quenched

    And the saints also shall hardly escape; nevertheless, I, the Lord, am with them, and will come down in heaven from the presence of my Father and consume the wicked with unquenchable fire.

35. 35

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdזֶהzethis isעוֹדodyetלֹאlonotכִּי־אִםki-imbutבְּעוֹדbe/ODin yetמְעַט׃me/ATa little while

    And behold, this is not yet, but by and by.

36. 36

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeבַּאֲשֶׁרba/a/SHERseeing thatאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordגָּזַרְתִּיga/zar/TIdecreedכׇּלkolallהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseעַלaluponפְּנֵיpe/NEthe faceהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthאֲנִיa/NIIחָפֵץcha/FETSwillכִּיkithatיֵאָסְפוּye/a/se/FUshould be assembledקְדוֹשַׁיke/do/SHAYmy saintsעַלaluponאֶרֶץE/retsthe landצִיּוֹן׃Tsiy/YONof Zion

    Wherefore, seeing that I, the Lord, have decreed all these things upon the face of the earth, I will that my saints should be assembled upon the land of Zion;

    וְיִקַּחve/yik/KACHand shall takeכׇּלkoleveryאִישׁishmanצֶדֶקTSE/dekrighteousnessבְּיָדָיוbe/ya/DAYVin his handsוֶאֱמוּנָהve/e/mu/NAand faithfulnessעַלaluponמׇתְנָיוmot/NAYVhis loinsוְיִשָּׂאve/yis/SAand shall liftקוֹלkola voiceאַזְהָרָהaz/ha/RAof warningלְיוֹשְׁבֵיle/yosh/VEunto the inhabitantsהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthוְיַכְרִיזve/yakh/RIZand shall declareגַּםgambothבְּאֹמֶרbe/O/merby wordוְגַםve/GAMandבִּמְנוּסָהbim/nu/SAby flightכִּיkithatשְׁמָמָהshe/ma/MAdesolationתָבוֹאta/VOshall comeעַלaluponהָרְשָׁעִים׃ha/re/sha/IMthe wicked

    And that every man should take righteousness in his hands and faithfulness upon his loins, and lift a warning voice unto the inhabitants of the earth; and declare both by word and by flight that desolation shall come upon the wicked.

38. 38

    Wherefore, let my disciples in Kirtland arrange their temporal concerns, who dwell upon this farm.

    Let my servant Titus Billings, who has the care thereof, dispose of the land, that he may be prepared in the coming spring to take his journey up unto the land of Zion, with those that dwell upon the face thereof, excepting those whom I shall reserve unto myself, that shall not go until I shall command them.

    And let all the moneys which can be spared, it mattereth not unto me whether it be little or much, be sent up unto the land of Zion, unto them whom I have appointed to receive.

    Behold, I, the Lord, will give unto my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., power that he shall be enabled to discern by the Spirit those who shall go up unto the land of Zion, and those of my disciples who shall tarry.

    Nevertheless, let him impart all the money which he can impart, to be sent up unto the land of Zion.

    Behold, these things are in his own hands, let him do according to wisdom.

    Verily I say, let him be ordained as an agent unto the disciples that shall tarry, and let him be ordained unto this power;

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowבִּמְהֵרָהbim/he/RAspeedilyיְבַקֵּרye/vak/KERlet him visitהַכְּנֵסִיּוֹתhak/ke/ne/siy/YOTthe churchesוִיבָאֵרvi/va/ERand expoundלָהֶםla/HEMunto themהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseעִםimwithעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantאוֹלִיבֶרO/li/VEROliverקַאוּדְרִיKa/ud/RICowderyהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdזֶהzethis isרְצוֹנִיre/tso/NImy willלְהַשִּׂיגle/has/SIGto obtainכְּסָפִיםke/sa/FIMmoneysכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHEReven asהוֹרֵיתִי׃ho/re/TII directed

    And now speedily visit the churches, expounding these things unto them, with my servant Oliver Cowdery. Behold, this is my will, obtaining moneys even as I have directed.

    He that is faithful and endureth shall overcome the world.

    הַשּׁוֹלֵחַhash/sho/LE/achhe that sends upאוֹצָרוֹתo/tsa/ROTtreasuresלְאֶרֶץle/E/retsunto the landצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONof Zionיְקַבֵּלye/kab/BELshall receiveנַחֲלָהna/cha/LAan inheritanceבָּעוֹלָםba/o/LAMin the worldהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוּמַעֲשָׂיוu/ma/a/SAYVand his worksיֵלְכוּyel/KHUshall followאַחֲרָיוa/cha/RAYVafter himוְגַםve/GAMand alsoשָׂכָרsa/KHARa rewardבָּעוֹלָםba/o/LAMin the worldהַבָּא׃hab/BAto come

    He that sendeth up treasures unto the land of Zion shall receive an inheritance in this world, and his works shall follow him, and also a reward in the world to come.

    אָכֵןa/KHENyeaוְאַשְׁרֵיve/ash/REand blessed areהַמֵּתִיםham/me/TIMthe deadהַמֵּתִיםham/me/TIMthat dieבַּיהוָהba-Adonaiin the Lordמֵעַתָּהme/at/TAfrom henceforthבְּבוֹאbe/VOwhen shall comeיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordוְיַעַבְרוּve/ya/av/RUand shall pass awayדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMthingsיְשָׁנִיםye/sha/NIMoldוְכׇלve/KHOLand allהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsיִהְיוּyih/YUshall becomeחֲדָשִׁיםcha/da/SHIMnewיָקוּמוּya/KU/muthey shall riseמִןminfromהַמֵּתִיםham/me/TIMthe deadוְלֹאve/LOand notיָמוּתוּya/MU/tushall dieאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterכֵןkhenthatוִיקַבְּלוּvi/kab/be/LUand shall receiveנַחֲלָהna/cha/LAan inheritanceלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordבָּעִירba/IRin the cityהַקְּדוֹשָׁה׃hak/ke/do/SHAholy

    Yea, and blessed are the dead that die in the Lord, from henceforth, when the Lord shall come, and old things shall pass away, and all things become new, they shall rise from the dead and shall not die after, and shall receive an inheritance before the Lord, in the holy city.

50. 50

    וְהַחַיve/ha/CHAYand he that livesבְּבוֹאbe/VOwhen shall comeיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordוְשָׁמַרve/sha/MARand keptהָאֱמוּנָהha/e/mu/NAthe faithאַשְׁרָיוash/RAYVblessed is heאַךְakhneverthelessנִגְזַרnig/ZARit is appointedעָלָיוa/LAYVunto himלָמוּתla/MUTto dieבִּימֵיbi/MEat the ageאָדָם׃a/DAMof man

    And he that liveth when the Lord shall come, and hath kept the faith, blessed is he; nevertheless, it is appointed to him to die at the age of man.

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeיְלָדִיםye/la/DIMchildrenיִגְדְּלוּyig/de/LUshall grow upעַדaduntilאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיִזְקְנוּyiz/ke/NUthey become oldזְקֵנִיםze/ke/NIMold menיָמוּתוּya/MU/tushall dieאַךְakhbutלֹאlonotיִישְׁנוּyi/she/NUthey shall sleepבֶעָפָרve/a/FARin the dustכִּי־אִםki-imbutיְשֻׁנּוּye/shun/NUthey shall be changedכְּהֶרֶףke/HE/refin the twinklingעָיִן׃a/YINof an eye

    Wherefore, children shall grow up until they become old; old men shall die; but they shall not sleep in the dust, but they shall be changed in the twinkling of an eye.

    Wherefore, for this cause preached the apostles unto the world the resurrection of the dead.

    These things are the things that ye must look for; and, speaking after the manner of the Lord, they are now nigh at hand, and in a time to come, even in the day of the coming of the Son of Man.

    וְעַדve/ADand untilהַשָּׁעָהhash/sha/Athe hourהַהִיאha/HIthatיִהְיוּyih/YUthere will beבְּתוּלוֹתbe/tu/LOTvirginsכְּסִילוֹתke/si/LOTfoolishבֵּיןbenamongהַחֲכָמוֹתha/cha/kha/MOTthe wiseוּבַשָּׁעָהu/vash/sha/Aand at the hourהַהִיאha/HIthatתָּבוֹאta/VOshall comeחֲלֻקָּהcha/luk/KAa separationשְׁלֵמָהshe/le/MAentireבֵּיןbenbetweenהַצַּדִּיקִיםhats/tsad/di/KIMthe righteousוְהָרְשָׁעִיםve/ha/re/sha/IMand the wickedוּבַיּוֹםu/vay/YOMand in the dayהַהוּאha/HUthatאֶשְׁלַחesh/LACHI will sendמַלְאָכַיmal/a/KHAYmy angelsלַעֲקֹרla/a/KORto pluck outהָרְשָׁעִיםha/re/sha/IMthe wickedוּלְהַשְׁלִיכָםu/le/hash/li/KHAMand to cast themבְּאֵשׁbe/ESHinto fireאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹאlonotתִכְבֶּה׃tikh/BEshall be quenched

    And until that hour there will be foolish virgins among the wise; and at that hour cometh an entire separation of the righteous and the wicked; and in that day will I send mine angels to pluck out the wicked and cast them into unquenchable fire.

    And now behold, verily I say unto you, I, the Lord, am not pleased with my servant Sidney Rigdon; he exalted himself in his heart, and received not counsel, but grieved the Spirit;

    Wherefore his writing is not acceptable unto the Lord, and he shall make another; and if the Lord receive it not, behold he standeth no longer in the office to which I have appointed him.

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youהַחֲפֵצִיםha/cha/fe/TSIMthose who desireבְּלִבָּםbe/lib/BAMin their heartsבַּעֲנָוָהba/a/na/VAin meeknessלְהַזְהִירle/haz/HIRto warnחוֹטְאִיםchot/IMsinnersלִתְשׁוּבָהlit/shu/VAto repentanceיִסָּמְכוּyis/sa/me/KHUlet them be ordainedלַכֹּחַlak/KO/achunto powerהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    And again, verily I say unto you, those who desire in their hearts, in meekness, to warn sinners to repentance, let them be ordained unto this power.

    כִּיkiforזֶהzethis isיוֹםyoma dayאַזְהָרָהaz/ha/RAof warningוְלֹאve/LOand notיוֹםyoma dayדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMof wordsרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyכִּיkiforאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordלֹאlonotיִתְלוֹצְצוּyit/lots/TSUshall they mockבִּיbiat meבְּאַחֲרִיתbe/a/cha/RITin the latter partהַיָּמִים׃hay/ya/MIMof the days

    For this is a day of warning, and not a day of many words. For I, the Lord, am not to be mocked in the last days.

    Behold, I am from above, and my power lieth beneath. I am over all, and in all, and through all, and search all things, and the day cometh that all things shall be subject unto me.

    Wherefore, let all men beware how they take my name in their lips—

    For behold, verily I say, that many there be who are under this condemnation, who use the name of the Lord, and use it in vain, having not authority.

    Wherefore, let the church repent of their sins, and I, the Lord, will own them; otherwise they shall be cut off.

    זִכְרוּzikh/RUrememberכִּיkithatהַבָּאhab/BAthat which comesמִמַּעַלmim/MA/alfrom aboveקָדוֹשׁka/DOSHsacredהוּאhuisוְנָכוֹןve/na/KHONand mustלְהֵאָמֵרle/he/a/MERbe spokenבְּיִרְאָהbe/yir/Awith careוּבְאֹנֶסu/ve/O/nesand by constraintהָרוּחַha/RU/achof the Spiritוּבָזֶהu/va/ZEand in thisאֵיןenthere is noאַשְׁמָהash/MAcondemnationוּמְקַבְּלִיםu/me/kab/be/LIMand you receiveאַתֶּםat/TEMyouהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe Spiritבִּתְפִלָּהbit/fil/LAthrough prayerלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeבִּלְעָדֶיהָbil/a/de/HAwithout thisנִשְׁאֶרֶתnish/E/retremainsאַשְׁמָה׃ash/MAcondemnation

    Remember that that which cometh from above is sacred, and must be spoken with care, and by constraint of the Spirit; and in this there is no condemnation, and ye receive the Spirit through prayer; wherefore, without this there remaineth condemnation.

    Let my servants, Joseph Smith, Jun., and Sidney Rigdon, seek them a home, as they are taught through prayer by the Spirit.

    These things remain to overcome through patience, that such may receive a more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, otherwise, a greater condemnation. Amen.
