   Hearken, O ye elders of my church, and give ear to the voice of the living God; and attend to the words of wisdom which shall be given unto you, according as ye have asked and are agreed as touching the church, and the spirits which have gone abroad in the earth.

   Behold, verily I say unto you, that there are many spirits which are false spirits, which have gone forth in the earth, deceiving the world.

   וְגַםve/GAMand alsoהַשָּׂטָןHas/sa/TANSatanבִּקֵּשׁbik/KESHsoughtלְהַתְעוֹתle/hat/OTto deceiveאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיַפִּילְכֶם׃yap/pi/le/KHEMhe might overthrow you

   And also Satan hath sought to deceive you, that he might overthrow you.

   הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordהִבַּטְתִּיhib/bat/TIlookedעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMupon youוָאֵרֶאva/E/reand sawתוֹעֵבוֹתto/e/VOTabominationsבַּכְּנֵסִיָּהbak/ke/ne/siy/YAin the churchהַנִּקְרֵאתhan/nik/RETthat professבִּשְׁמִי׃bish/MImy name

   Behold, I, the Lord, have looked upon you, and have seen abominations in the church that profess my name.

   אַךְakhbutאַשְׁרֵיash/REblessed areהַנֶּאֱמָנִיםhan/ne/e/ma/NIMthey that are faithfulוְהַמַּחֲזִיקִיםve/ham/ma/cha/zi/KIMand endureאִםimwhetherבַּחַיִּיםba/chay/YIMin lifeוְאִםve/IMorבַּמָּוֶתbam/MA/vetin deathכִּיkiforיִירְשׁוּYI/re/shuthey shall inheritחַיֵּיchay/YElifeעוֹלָם׃o/LAMeternal

   But blessed are they who are faithful and endure, whether in life or in death, for they shall inherit eternal life.

   אַךְakhbutאוֹיoywoלַמַּתְעִיםlam/mat/IMunto the deceiversוְלַחֲנֵפִיםve/la/cha/ne/FIMand the hypocritesכִּיkiforכֹהkhothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordאֲבִיאֵםa/vi/EMI will bring themלַמִּשְׁפָּט׃lam/mish/PATto judgment

   But wo unto them that are deceivers and hypocrites, for, thus saith the Lord, I will bring them to judgment.

   הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youיֵשׁyeshthere areחֲנֵפִיםcha/ne/FIMhypocritesבֵּינֵיכֶםbe/ne/KHEMamong youאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהִתְעוּhit/Udeceivedמִקְצָתָםmik/tsa/TAMsomeוַיִּתְּנוּvay/yit/te/NUand gaveכֹּחַKO/achpowerלַשָּׂטָןlas/sa/TANto the adversaryאַךְakhbutהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֵלֶּהEL/lesuchיוּשָׁבוּ׃yu/sha/VUshall be reclaimed

   Behold, verily I say unto you, there are hypocrites among you, who have deceived some, which has given the adversary power; but behold such shall be reclaimed;

   אַךְakhbutהַחֲנֵפִיםha/cha/ne/FIMthe hypocritesיִגָּלוּyig/ga/LUshall be detectedוְיִכָּרְתוּve/yik/ka/re/TUand shall be cut offאִםimwhetherבַּחַיִּיםba/chay/YIMin lifeוְאִםve/IMorבַּמָּוֶתbam/MA/vetin deathכִּרְצוֹנִיkir/tso/NIas I willוְאוֹיve/OYand woלַנִּכְרָתִיםlan/nikh/ra/TIMunto them who are cut offמִכְּנֵסִיָּתִיmik/ke/ne/siy/ya/TIfrom my churchכִּיkiforהֵםhemthe sameנִכְבְּשׁוּnikh/be/SHUare overcomeבְּיַדbe/YADofהָעוֹלָם׃ha/o/LAMthe world

   But the hypocrites shall be detected and shall be cut off, either in life or in death, even as I will; and wo unto them who are cut off from my church, for the same are overcome of the world.

   לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeיִזָּהֵרyiz/za/HERlet bewareכׇּלkoleveryאִישׁishmanפֶּןpenlestיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEhe doאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat whichאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nuis notבֶּאֱמֶתbe/e/METin truthוּבְצֶדֶקu/ve/TSE/dekand in righteousnessלְפָנָי׃le/fa/NAYbefore me

   Wherefore, let every man beware lest he do that which is not in truth and righteousness before me.

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowבֹּאוּBO/ucomeאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordבָּרוּחַba/RU/achby the Spiritאֶלeluntoזִקְנֵיzik/NEthe eldersכְּנֵסִיָּתוֹke/ne/siy/ya/TOof his churchוְנִוָּכְחָהve/niv/va/khe/CHAand let us reasonיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתָּבִינוּ׃ta/vi/NUyou may understand

    And now come, saith the Lord, by the Spirit, unto the elders of his church, and let us reason together, that ye may understand;

    נִוָּכְחָהniv/va/khe/CHAlet us reasonכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHEReven asיִתְוַכַּחyit/vak/KACHreasonsאִישׁisha manעִםimwithרֵעֵהוּre/E/huhis fellowפָּנִיםpa/NIMfaceאֶלeltoפָּנִים׃pa/NIMface

    Let us reason even as a man reasoneth one with another face to face.

12. 12

    וְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERnow whenיִתְוַכַּחyit/vak/KACHreasonsאִישׁisha manיוּבָןyu/VANhe is understoodמֵאִישׁme/ISHof a manכִּיkibecauseכְאִישׁkhe/ISHas a manיִתְוַכַּחyit/vak/KACHhe reasonsכֵּןkeneven soאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordאֶתְוַכַּחet/vak/KACHwill reasonעִמָּכֶםim/ma/KHEMwith youלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתָּבִינוּ׃ta/vi/NUyou may understand

    Now, when a man reasoneth he is understood of man, because he reasoneth as a man; even so will I, the Lord, reason with you that you may understand.

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordשׁוֹאֵלsho/ELaskאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouהַשְּׁאֵלָהhash/she/e/LAthe questionהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisלְמָהle/MAunto whatנִסְמַכְתֶּם׃nis/makh/TEMwere you ordained

    Wherefore, I the Lord ask you this question—unto what were ye ordained?

14. 14

    לִקְרֹאlik/ROto preachבְּשׂוֹרָתִיbe/so/ra/TImy gospelבָּרוּחַba/RU/achby the Spiritגַּםgamevenהַמְּנַחֵםham/Me/na/CHEMthe Comforterאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנִשְׁלַחnish/LACHwas sent forthלְלַמֵּדle/lam/MEDto teachהָאֱמֶת׃ha/e/METthe truth

    To preach my gospel by the Spirit, even the Comforter which was sent forth to teach the truth.

15. 15

    וְאָזve/AZand thenקִבַּלְתֶּםkib/bal/TEMyou receivedרוּחוֹתru/CHOTspiritsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹאlonotיְכָלְתֶּםye/khal/TEMyou couldלְהָבִיןle/ha/VINunderstandוְקִבַּלְתֶּםve/kib/bal/TEMand receivedאוֹתָןo/TANthemכְּמוֹke/MOas if they wereמֵאֱלֹהִיםme/e/lo/HIMfrom Godוּבָזֹאתu/va/ZOTand in thisהֲנִצְדַּקְתֶּם׃ha/nits/dak/TEMare you justified

    And then received ye spirits which ye could not understand, and received them to be of God; and in this are ye justified?

16. 16

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאַתֶּםat/TEMyouתַּעֲנוּta/a/NUshall answerהַשְּׁאֵלָהhash/she/e/LAthe questionהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisבְּנַפְשְׁכֶםbe/naf/she/KHEMyourselvesאַךְakhneverthelessאֲרַחֵםa/ra/CHEMI will be mercifulעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMunto youהַחַלָּשׁha/chal/LASHhe that is weakבָּכֶםba/KHEMamong youאַחֲרֵי־כֵןa/cha/RE-khenhereafterיֶחֱזַק׃ye/che/ZAKshall be made strong

    Behold ye shall answer this question yourselves; nevertheless, I will be merciful unto you; he that is weak among you hereafter shall be made strong.

    אָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youהַנִּסְמָךְhan/nis/MAKHhe that is ordainedמִמֶּנִּיmim/MEN/niof meוְהַנִּשְׁלָחve/han/nish/LACHand sent forthלִקְרֹאlik/ROto preachדְּבַרde/VARthe wordהָאֱמֶתha/e/METof truthבַּמְּנַחֵםbam/Me/na/CHEMby the Comforterבְּרוּחַbe/RU/achin the Spiritהָאֱמֶתha/e/METof truthהֲקוֹרֵאha/ko/REdoes he preachהוּאhuitבְּרוּחַbe/RU/achby the Spiritהָאֱמֶתha/e/METof truthאוֹoorבְּדֶרֶךְbe/DE/rekhby wayאַחֶרֶת׃a/che/RETsome other

    Verily I say unto you, he that is ordained of me and sent forth to preach the word of truth by the Comforter, in the Spirit of truth, doth he preach it by the Spirit of truth or some other way?

18. 18

    וְאִםve/IMand ifבְּדֶרֶךְbe/DE/rekhit be by wayאַחֶרֶתa/CHE/retsome otherאֵינֶנָּהe/NEN/nait is notמֵאֱלֹהִים׃me/e/lo/HIMof God

    And if it be by some other way it is not of God.

19. 19

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againהַמְקַבֵּלham/kab/BELhe that receivesדְּבַרde/VARthe wordהָאֱמֶתha/e/METof truthהַמְקַבֵּלham/kab/BELdoes he receiveהוּאhuitבְּרוּחַbe/RU/achby the Spiritהָאֱמֶתha/e/METof truthאוֹoorבְּדֶרֶךְbe/DE/rekhby wayאַחֶרֶת׃a/che/RETsome other

    And again, he that receiveth the word of truth, doth he receive it by the Spirit of truth or some other way?

20. 20

    אִםimifבְּדֶרֶךְbe/DE/rekhit be by wayאַחֶרֶתa/CHE/retsome otherאֵינֶנָּהe/NEN/nait is notמֵאֱלֹהִים׃me/e/lo/HIMof God

    If it be some other way it is not of God.

21. 21

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeלָמָהla/MAwhyלֹאlonotתוּכְלוּtukh/LUcan youלְהָבִיןle/ha/VINunderstandוְלָדַעַתve/la/DA/atand knowכִּיkithatהַמְקַבֵּלham/kab/BELhe that receivesהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe wordבְּרוּחַbe/RU/achby the Spiritהָאֱמֶתha/e/METof truthמְקַבֵּלme/kab/BELreceivesכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasנִקְרָאnik/RAit is preachedבְּרוּחַbe/RU/achby the Spiritהָאֱמֶת׃ha/e/METof truth

    Therefore, why is it that ye cannot understand and know, that he that receiveth the word by the Spirit of truth receiveth it as it is preached by the Spirit of truth?

22. 22

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeהַקּוֹרֵאhak/ko/REhe that preachesוְהַמְקַבֵּלve/ham/kab/BELand he that receivesמְבִינִיםme/vi/NIMthey understandזֶהzeoneאֶת־זֶהet-zeanotherוּשְׁנֵיהֶםu/she/ne/HEMand bothנִבְנִיםniv/NIMare edifiedוּשְׂמֵחִיםu/se/me/CHIMand rejoiceיַחְדָּו׃yach/DAVtogether

    Wherefore, he that preacheth and he that receiveth, understand one another, and both are edified and rejoice together.

23. 23

    וַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand that whichאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nudoes notבּוֹנֶהbo/NEedifyאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nuis notמֵאֱלֹהִיםme/e/lo/HIMof Godוְהוּאve/HUand itחֹשֶׁךְ׃cho/SHEKHis darkness

    And that which doth not edify is not of God, and is darkness.

24. 24

    אֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat whichמֵאֱלֹהִיםme/e/lo/HIMis of Godהוּאhuisאוֹרorlightוְהַמְקַבֵּלve/ham/kab/BELand he that receivesאוֹרorlightוְעֹמֵדve/o/MEDand continuesבֵּאלֹהִיםbe/lo/HIMin Godמְקַבֵּלme/kab/BELreceivesעוֹדodmoreאוֹרorlightוְהָאוֹרve/ha/ORand the lightהַהוּאha/HUthatהוֹלֵךְho/LEKHgrowsוָאוֹרva/ORbrighter and brighterעַדaduntilנְכוֹןne/KHONthe perfectהַיּוֹם׃hay/YOMday

    That which is of God is light; and he that receiveth light, and continueth in God, receiveth more light; and that light groweth brighter and brighter until the perfect day.

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאוֹמְרוֹom/ROsay itלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתֵּדְעוּted/Uyou may knowהָאֱמֶתha/e/METthe truthלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתְּגָרְשׁוּte/ga/re/SHUyou may chaseהַחֹשֶׁךְha/CHO/shekhdarknessמִבֵּינֵיכֶם׃mib/be/ne/KHEMfrom among you

    And again, verily I say unto you, and I say it that you may know the truth, that you may chase darkness from among you;

26. 26

    הַנִּסְמָךְhan/nis/MAKHhe that is ordainedמֵאֱלֹהִיםme/e/lo/HIMof Godוְהַנִּשְׁלָחve/han/nish/LACHand sent forthהוּאhuthe sameמְמֻנֶּהme/mun/NEis appointedלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLthe greatestאַףafnotwithstandingכִּיkithatהוּאhuhe isהַקָּטָןhak/ka/TANthe leastוְעֶבֶדve/E/vedand the servantלַכֹּל׃lak/KOLto all

    He that is ordained of God and sent forth, the same is appointed to be the greatest, notwithstanding he is the least and the servant of all.

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeהוּאhuhe isבַּעַלBA/alpossessorהַכֹּלhak/KOLof allכִּיkiforהַכֹּלhak/KOLall thingsנִכְנָעnikh/NAare subjectלוֹlounto himגַּםgambothבַּשָּׁמַיִםbash/sha/MA/yimin heavenוְגַםve/GAMandבָּאָרֶץba/A/retson the earthהַחַיִּיםha/chay/YIMthe lifeוְהָאוֹרve/ha/ORand the lightהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe Spiritוְהַכֹּחַve/hak/KO/achand the powerהַנִּשְׁלָחִיםhan/nish/la/CHIMwhich are sent forthבִּרְצוֹןbir/TSONby the willהָאָבha/AVof the Fatherבְּיַדbe/YADthroughיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aJesusהַמָּשִׁיחַHam/ma/SHI/achChristבְּנוֹ׃be/NOhis Son

    Wherefore, he is possessor of all things; for all things are subject unto him, both in heaven and on the earth, the life and the light, the Spirit and the power, sent forth by the will of the Father through Jesus Christ, his Son.

    אַךְakhbutאֵיןennoאִישׁishmanבַּעַלBA/alis possessorהַכֹּלhak/KOLof allבִּלְתִּיbil/TIexceptאִםimifטֹהַרto/HARhe be purifiedוְנִקָּהve/nik/KAand cleansedמִכׇּלmik/KOLfrom allחֵטְא׃chetsin

    But no man is possessor of all things except he be purified and cleansed from all sin.

29. 29

    וְאִםve/IMand ifטֹהַרְתֶּםto/har/TEMyou are purifiedוְנִקֵּיתֶםve/nik/ke/TEMand cleansedמִכׇּלmik/KOLfrom allחֵטְאchetsinתִּשְׁאֲלוּtish/a/LUyou shall askכׇּלkolwhatsoeverאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתִּרְצוּtir/TSUyou willבְּשֵׁםbe/SHEMin the nameיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aof Jesusוְיֵעָשֶׂה׃ve/ye/a/SEand it shall be done

    And if ye are purified and cleansed from all sin, ye shall ask whatsoever you will in the name of Jesus and it shall be done.

30. 30

    אַךְakhbutדְּעוּde/Uknowזֹאתzotthisיִנָּתֵןyin/na/TENit shall be givenלָכֶםla/KHEMyouמַהmawhatלִשְׁאֹלlish/OLto askוְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand asמֻנֵּיתֶםmun/ne/TEMyou are appointedלָרֹאשׁla/ROSHto the headהָרוּחוֹתha/ru/CHOTthe spiritsיִכָּנְעוּyik/ka/ne/Ushall be subjectלָכֶם׃la/KHEMunto you

    But know this, it shall be given you what you shall ask; and as ye are appointed to the head, the spirits shall be subject unto you.

31. 31

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeיִהְיֶהyih/YEit shall beכִּיkithatתִרְאוּtir/Uyou beholdרוּחַRU/acha spiritמִתְגַּלָּהmit/gal/LAmanifestedאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹאlonotתוּכְלוּtukh/LUcan youלְהָבִיןle/ha/VINunderstandוְלֹאve/LOand notתְקַבְּלוּte/kab/be/LUyou receiveהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe spiritהַהִיאha/HIthatתִּשְׁאֲלוּtish/a/LUyou shall askמִןminofהָאָבha/AVthe Fatherבְּשֵׁםbe/SHEMin the nameיֵשׁוּעַYe/SHU/aof Jesusוְאִםve/IMand ifלֹאlonotיִתֵּןyit/TENhe giveלָכֶםla/KHEMyouהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe spiritהַהִיאha/HIthatאָזazthenתֵּדְעוּted/Uyou may knowכִּיkithatאֵינֶנָּהe/NEN/nait is notמֵאֱלֹהִים׃me/e/lo/HIMof God

    Wherefore, it shall come to pass, that if you behold a spirit manifested that you cannot understand, and you receive not that spirit, ye shall ask of the Father in the name of Jesus; and if he give not unto you that spirit, then you may know that it is not of God.

32. 32

    וְיִנָּתֵןve/yin/NA/tenand it shall be givenלָכֶםla/KHEMyouכֹּחַKO/achpowerעַלaloverהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe spiritהַהִיאha/HIthatוּקְרָאתֶםu/ke/ra/TEMand you shall proclaimנֶגֶדNE/gedagainstהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe spiritהַהִיאha/HIthatבְּקוֹלbe/KOLwith a voiceגָּדוֹלga/DOLloudכִּיkithatאֵינֶנָּהe/NEN/nait is notמֵאֱלֹהִים׃me/e/lo/HIMof God

    And it shall be given unto you, power over that spirit; and you shall proclaim against that spirit with a loud voice that it is not of God—

33. 33

    לֹאlonotבְּגִדּוּפִיםbe/gid/du/FIMwith railing accusationפֶּןpenlestתִּכָּבְשׁוּtik/ka/ve/SHUyou be overcomeוְלֹאve/LOneitherבְּהִתְפָּאֵרbe/hit/pa/ERwith boastingוְשִׂמְחָהve/sim/CHAnor with rejoicingפֶּןpenlestתִּתָּפְשׂוּtit/ta/fe/SUyou be seizedבָהּ׃vatherewith

    Not with railing accusation, that ye be not overcome, neither with boasting nor rejoicing, lest you be seized therewith.

    הַמְקַבֵּלham/kab/BELhe that receivesמֵאֱלֹהִיםme/e/lo/HIMof Godיַחְשֹׁבyach/SHOVlet him accountלֵאלֹהִיםle/lo/HIMof Godוְיִשְׂמַחve/yis/MACHand let him rejoiceכִּיkithatנֶחְשַׁבnech/SHAVhe is accountedלֵאלֹהִיםle/lo/HIMof Godרָאוּיra/UYworthyלְקַבֵּל׃le/kab/BELto receive

    He that receiveth of God, let him account it of God; and let him rejoice that he is accounted of God worthy to receive.

    וּבְהַקְשִׁיבu/ve/hak/SHIVand by giving heedוּבַעֲשׂוֹתu/va/a/SOTand doingהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichקִבַּלְתֶּםkib/bal/TEMyou receivedוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand whichתְּקַבְּלוּte/kab/be/LUyou shall receiveאַחֲרֵי־כֵןa/cha/RE-khenhereafterוְהַמַּלְכוּתve/ham/mal/KHUTand the kingdomנִתְּנָהnit/te/NAis givenלָכֶםla/KHEMyouמִןminofהָאָבha/AVthe Fatherוְכֹחַve/KHO/achand powerלְנַצֵּחַle/nats/TSE/achto overcomeכׇּלkolallאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nuis notמְמֻנֶּהme/mun/NEordainedמִמֶּנּוּ׃mim/men/NUof him

    And by giving heed and doing these things which ye have received, and which ye shall hereafter receive—and the kingdom is given you of the Father, and power to overcome all things which are not ordained of him—

36. 36

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youאַשְׁרֵיכֶםash/re/KHEMblessed are youהַשֹּׁמְעִיםhash/shom/IMwho are hearingעַתָּהat/TAnowדְּבָרַיde/va/RAYmy wordsאֵלֶּהEL/letheseמִפִּיmip/PIfrom the mouthעַבְדִּיav/DIof my servantכִּיkiforחַטֹּאתֵיכֶםchat/to/te/KHEMyour sinsנִסְלְחוּnis/le/CHUare forgivenלָכֶם׃la/KHEMyou

    And behold, verily I say unto you, blessed are you who are now hearing these words of mine from the mouth of my servant, for your sins are forgiven you.

37. 37

    עַבְדִּיav/DImy servantיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephוֵיקְפִילְדVe/ke/FILDWakefieldאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomרָצִיתִיra/tsi/TII am well pleasedבוֹvoin himוְעַבְדִּיve/av/DIand my servantפַּרְלִיPar/LIParleyפִּ.piPפְּרֶטPe/RETPrattיֵלְכוּyel/KHUlet them go forthבֵּיןbenamongהַכְּנֵסִיּוֹתhak/ke/ne/siy/YOTthe churchesוִיחַזְּקוּםvi/chaz/ze/KUMand strengthen themבִּדְבַרbid/VARby the wordהַתּוֹכֵחָה׃hat/to/khe/CHAof exhortation

    Let my servant Joseph Wakefield, in whom I am well pleased, and my servant Parley P. Pratt go forth among the churches and strengthen them by the word of exhortation;

38. 38

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantג׳וֹןGonJohnקוֹרִילKo/RILCorrillאוֹoorכׇּלkolas manyעֲבָדַיa/va/DAYof my servantsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasנִסְמְכוּnis/me/KHUare ordainedלַמִּשְׂרָהlam/mis/RAunto the officeהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisיַעַבְדוּya/av/DUlet them laborבַּכֶּרֶםbak/KE/remin the vineyardוְאַלve/ALand let notיִמְנַעyim/NAhinderאִישׁishany manאוֹתָםo/TAMthemמֵעֲשׂוֹתme/a/SOTfrom doingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichמִנִּיתִיmin/ni/TII appointedלָהֶם׃la/HEMunto them

    And also my servant John Corrill, or as many of my servants as are ordained unto this office, and let them labor in the vineyard; and let no man hinder them doing that which I have appointed unto them—

39. 39

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeבַּדָּבָרbad/da/VARin the thingהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantאֶדְוָרְדEd/VARDEdwardפַּרְטְרִיג׳Par/te/RIGPartridgeאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nuis notנִצְדָּקnits/DAKjustifiedאַךְakhneverthelessיָשׁוּבya/SHUVlet him repentוְיִסָּלַחve/yis/sa/LACHand shall be forgivenלוֹ׃lohim

    Wherefore, in this thing my servant Edward Partridge is not justified; nevertheless let him repent and he shall be forgiven.

40. 40

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיְלָדִיםye/la/DIMchildrenקְטַנִּיםke/tan/NIMlittleאַתֶּםat/TEMyou areוְלֹאve/LOand notתוּכְלוּtukh/LUcan youלָשֵׂאתla/SETbearהַכֹּלhak/KOLall thingsעַתָּהat/TAnowעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMyou mustלִגְדֹּלlig/DOLgrowבְּחֶסֶדbe/CHE/sedin graceוּבְדַעַתu/ve/DA/atand in knowledgeהָאֱמֶת׃ha/e/METof the truth

    Behold, ye are little children and ye cannot bear all things now; ye must grow in grace and in the knowledge of the truth.

41. 41

    אַלaldo notתִּירְאוּti/re/Ufearיְלָדִיםye/la/DIMchildrenקְטַנִּיםke/tan/NIMlittleכִּיkiforלִיlimine areאַתֶּםat/TEMyouוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iנִצַּחְתִּיnits/tsach/TIovercameהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldוְאַתֶּםve/at/TEMand you areמֵאֲשֶׁרme/a/SHERof those whichנָתַןna/TANgaveלִיlimeאָבִי׃A/VImy Father

    Fear not, little children, for you are mine, and I have overcome the world, and you are of them that my Father hath given me;

42. 42

    וְאִישׁve/ISHand no manמֵאֲשֶׁרme/a/SHERof those whichנָתַןna/TANgaveלִיlimeאָבִיA/VImy Fatherלֹאlonotיֹאבַד׃yo/VADshall be lost

    And none of them that my Father hath given me shall be lost.

43. 43

    וְהָאָבve/Ha/AVand the Fatherוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֶחָדe/CHADare oneאֲנִיa/NII amבָּאָבba/AVin the Fatherוְהָאָבve/Ha/AVand the Fatherבִּיbiis in meוְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand inasmuch asקִבַּלְתֶּםkib/bal/TEMyou receivedאוֹתִיo/TImeאַתֶּםat/TEMyou areבִּיbiin meוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iבָכֶם׃va/KHEMin you

    And the Father and I are one. I am in the Father and the Father in me; and inasmuch as ye have received me, ye are in me and I in you.

44. 44

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeאֲנִיa/NII amבְּתוֹכְכֶםbe/tokh/KHEMin your midstוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand I amהָרֹעֶהha/ro/Ethe shepherdהַטּוֹבhat/TOVthe goodוְאֶבֶןve/E/venand the stoneיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELof Israelהַבּוֹנֶהhab/bo/NEhe that buildsעַלaluponהַסֶּלַעhas/SE/lathe rockהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisלֹאlonotיִפֹּלyip/POLshall fallלְעוֹלָם׃le/o/LAMforever

    Wherefore, I am in your midst, and I am the good shepherd, and the stone of Israel. He that buildeth upon this rock shall never fall.

45. 45

    וְהַיּוֹםve/hay/YOMand the dayבָּאbacomesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתִּשְׁמְעוּtish/me/Uyou shall hearקוֹלִיko/LImy voiceוְתִרְאוּנִיve/tir/u/NIand see meוְתֵדְעוּve/ted/Uand knowכִּיkithatאֲנִיa/NIIהוּא׃huam he

    And the day cometh that you shall hear my voice and see me, and know that I am.

46. 46

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeשִׁקְדוּshik/DUwatchלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתִּהְיוּtih/YUyou may beנְכוֹנִיםne/kho/NIMreadyכֵּןkeneven soיְהִיye/HIbe itאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

    Watch, therefore, that ye may be ready. Even so. Amen.
