   Hearken, O ye elders of my church, who have assembled yourselves together in my name, even Jesus Christ the Son of the living God, the Savior of the world; inasmuch as ye believe on my name and keep my commandments.

   Again I say unto you, hearken and hear and obey the law which I shall give unto you.

   For verily I say, as ye have assembled yourselves together according to the commandment wherewith I commanded you, and are agreed as touching this one thing, and have asked the Father in my name, even so ye shall receive.

   Behold, verily I say unto you, I give unto you this first commandment, that ye shall go forth in my name, every one of you, excepting my servants Joseph Smith, Jun., and Sidney Rigdon.

   וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iנֹתֵןno/TENgiveלָהֶםla/HEMthemמִצְוָהmits/VAa commandmentלָצֵאתla/TSETthat they shall go forthלַמִּצְעָרlam/mits/ARfor a little seasonוְיִנָּתֵןve/yin/NA/tenand it shall be givenבְּכֹחַbe/KHO/achby the powerהָרוּחַha/RU/achof the Spiritבְּשׁוּבָם׃be/shu/VAMwhen they shall return

   And I give unto them a commandment that they shall go forth for a little season, and it shall be given by the power of the Spirit when they shall return.

   And ye shall go forth in the power of my Spirit, preaching my gospel, two by two, in my name, lifting up your voices as with the sound of a trump, declaring my word like unto angels of God.

   And ye shall go forth baptizing with water, saying: Repent ye, repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

   וּמִןu/MINand fromהַמָּקוֹםham/ma/KOMthe placeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisתֵּצְאוּtets/Uyou shall go forthאֶלelintoאַרְצוֹתar/TSOTthe regionsהַמַּעֲרָבham/ma/a/RAVwestwardוּכְפִיu/khe/FIand inasmuchאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasתִּמְצְאוּtim/tse/Uyou shall findמְקַבְּלִיםme/kab/be/LIMthem that will receiveאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouתִּבְנוּtiv/NUyou shall build upכְּנֵסִיָּתִיke/ne/siy/ya/TImy churchבְּכׇלbe/KHOLin everyגָּלִיל׃ga/LILregion

   And from this place ye shall go forth into the regions westward; and inasmuch as ye shall find them that will receive you ye shall build up my church in every region—

9. 9

   עַדaduntilבּוֹאboshall comeהָעֵתha/ETthe timeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenיִגָּלֶהyig/ga/LEit shall be revealedלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youמִמָּרוֹםmim/ma/ROMfrom on highבְּהִכּוֹןbe/hik/KONwhen shall be preparedהָעִירha/IRthe cityיְרוּשָׁלַיִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimof Jerusalemהַחֲדָשָׁהha/Cha/da/SHAthe Newלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתֵּאָסְפוּte/a/se/FUyou may be gatheredלְאֶחָדle/e/CHADin oneלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTthat you may beעַמִּיam/MImy peopleוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֶהְיֶהeh/YEwill beלָכֶםla/KHEMto youלֵאלֹהִים׃le/lo/HIMfor God

   Until the time shall come when it shall be revealed unto you from on high, when the city of the New Jerusalem shall be prepared, that ye may be gathered in one, that ye may be my people and I will be your God.

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youעַבְדִּיav/DIthat my servantאֶדְוָרְדEd/VARDEdwardפַּרְטְרִיג׳Par/te/RIGPartridgeיַעֲמֹדya/a/MODshall standבַּמִּשְׂרָהbam/mis/RAin the officeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereuntoמִנִּיתִיוmin/ni/TIVI appointed himוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beאִםimifיִפְשַׁעyif/SHAhe transgressאַחֵרa/CHERanotherיְמֻנֶּהye/mun/NEshall be appointedתַּחְתָּיוtach/TAYVin his steadכֵּןkeneven soיְהִיye/HIbe itאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

    And again, I say unto you, that my servant Edward Partridge shall stand in the office whereunto I have appointed him. And it shall come to pass, that if he transgress another shall be appointed in his stead. Even so. Amen.

    Again I say unto you, that it shall not be given to any one to go forth to preach my gospel, or to build up my church, except he be ordained by some one who has authority, and it is known to the church that he has authority and has been regularly ordained by the heads of the church.

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againזִקְנֵיzik/NEthe eldersהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAof the churchהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisוְהַכֹּהֲנִיםve/hak/ko/ha/NIMand the priestsוְהַמּוֹרִיםve/ham/mo/RIMand teachersיְלַמְּדוּye/lam/me/DUshall teachעִקְּרֵיik/ke/REthe principlesבְּשׂוֹרָתִיbe/so/ra/TIof my gospelהַכְּתוּבִיםhak/ke/tu/VIMwhich are writtenבַּמִּקְרָאbam/Mik/RAin the Bibleוּבְסֵפֶרu/ve/SE/ferand the BookמוֹרְמוֹןMOR/monof Mormonאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבָּהֶםba/HEMin themמְלֹאme/LOis the fulnessהַבְּשׂוֹרָה׃hab/be/so/RAof the gospel

    And again, the elders, priests and teachers of this church shall teach the principles of my gospel, which are in the Bible and the Book of Mormon, in the which is the fulness of the gospel.

    וְיִשְׁמְרוּve/yish/me/RUand they shall observeאֶת־הַבְּרִיתוֹתet-hab/be/ri/TOTthe covenantsוְכִתְבֵיve/khit/VEand articlesהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAof the churchלַעֲשׂוֹתָםla/a/so/TAMto do themוְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand theseיִהְיוּyih/YUshall beתּוֹרוֹתֵיהֶםto/ro/te/HEMtheir teachingsכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיִנָּהֲגוּyin/na/ha/GUthey shall be directedבְּיַדbe/YADbyהָרוּחַ׃ha/RU/achthe Spirit

    And they shall observe the covenants and church articles to do them, and these shall be their teachings, as they shall be directed by the Spirit.

14. 14

    וְהָרוּחַve/Ha/RU/achand the Spiritתִּנָּתֵןtin/na/TENshall be givenלָכֶםla/KHEMyouבִּתְפִלַּתbit/fil/LATby the prayerאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAof faithוְאִםve/IMand ifלֹאlonotתְקַבְּלוּte/kab/be/LUyou receiveאֶת־הָרוּחַet-Ha/RU/achthe Spiritלֹאlonotתְלַמְּדוּ׃te/lam/me/DUyou shall teach

    And the Spirit shall be given unto you by the prayer of faith; and if ye receive not the Spirit ye shall not teach.

15. 15

    וְאֶתve/ETandכׇּלkolallזֹאתzotthisתִּשְׁמְרוּtish/me/RUyou shall observeלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוִּיתִיtsiv/VI/tiI commandedעַלalconcerningתּוֹרַתְכֶםto/rat/KHEMyour teachingעַדaduntilאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיִנָּתֵןyin/na/TENis givenמְלֹאme/LOthe fulnessכְּתוּבַי׃ke/tu/VAYof my scriptures

    And all this ye shall observe to do as I have commanded concerning your teaching, until the fulness of my scriptures is given.

16. 16

    וְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand asתָּרִימוּta/RI/muyou shall lift upקוֹלְכֶםkol/KHEMyour voicesבְּיַדbe/YADbyהַמְּנַחֵםham/Me/na/CHEMthe Comforterתְּדַבְּרוּte/dab/be/RUyou shall speakוְתִנָּבְאוּve/tin/na/ve/Uand prophesyכַּטּוֹבkat/TOVas is goodבְּעֵינָי׃be/e/NAYin my eyes

    And as ye shall lift up your voices by the Comforter, ye shall speak and prophesy as seemeth me good;

17. 17

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהַמְּנַחֵםham/Me/na/CHEMthe Comforterיוֹדֵעַyo/DE/aknowsכׇּלkolallדָּבָרda/VARthingsוּמֵעִידu/me/IDand bears recordעַלalofהָאָבha/AVthe Fatherוְעַלve/ALandהַבֵּן׃hab/BENof the Son

    For, behold, the Comforter knoweth all things, and beareth record of the Father and of the Son.

18. 18

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲנִיa/NIIמְדַבֵּרme/dab/BERspeakאֶלeluntoהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAthe churchלֹאlonotתִרְצָחtir/TSACHyou shall killוְהָרוֹצֵחַve/ha/ro/TSE/achand he that killsלֹאlonotיִהְיֶה־לּוֹyih/YE-loshall he haveסְלִיחָהse/li/CHAforgivenessבָּעוֹלָםba/o/LAMin the worldהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְלֹאve/LOnorבָּעוֹלָםba/o/LAMin the worldהַבָּא׃hab/BAto come

    And now, behold, I speak unto the church. Thou shalt not kill; and he that kills shall not have forgiveness in this world, nor in the world to come.

19. 19

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלֹאlonotתִרְצָחtir/TSACHyou shall killאַךְakhbutהָרוֹצֵחַha/ro/TSE/achhe that killsיוּמָת׃yu/MATshall die

    And again, I say, thou shalt not kill; but he that killeth shall die.

20. 20

    לֹאlonotתִגְנֹבtig/NOVyou shall stealוְהַגֹּנֵבve/hag/go/NEVand he that stealsוְלֹאve/LOand notיָשׁוּבya/SHUVrepentיְגֹרָשׁ׃ye/go/RASHshall be cast out

    Thou shalt not steal; and he that stealeth and will not repent shall be cast out.

21. 21

    לֹאlonotתְשַׁקֵּרte/shak/KERyou shall lieהַמְשַׁקֵּרham/shak/KERhe that liesוְלֹאve/LOand will notיָשׁוּבya/SHUVrepentיְגֹרָשׁ׃ye/go/RASHshall be cast out

    Thou shalt not lie; he that lieth and will not repent shall be cast out.

22. 22

    וְאָהַבְתָּve/a/hav/TAyou shall loveאִשְׁתְּךָish/te/KHAyour wifeבְּכׇלbe/KHOLwith allלְבָבֶךָle/va/VE/khayour heartוְדָבַקְתָּve/da/vak/TAand shall cleaveבָּהּbaunto herוְלֹאve/LOand notבְאַחֶרֶת׃ve/a/che/RETto another

    Thou shalt love thy wife with all thy heart, and shalt cleave unto her and none else.

23. 23

    וְהַמַּבִּיטve/ham/mab/BITand he that looksאֶלeluponאִשָּׁהish/SHAa womanלְהִתְאַוּוֹתle/hit/av/VOTto lustאֵלֶיהָe/LE/haafter herיְכַחֵשׁye/kha/CHESHshall denyבָּאֱמוּנָהba/e/mu/NAthe faithוְלֹאve/LOand notתִהְיֶה־לּוֹtih/YE-loshall he haveהָרוּחַha/RU/achthe Spiritוְאִםve/IMand ifלֹאlonotיָשׁוּבya/SHUVhe repentsיְגֹרָשׁ׃ye/go/RASHhe shall be cast out

    And he that looketh upon a woman to lust after her shall deny the faith, and shall not have the Spirit; and if he repents not he shall be cast out.

24. 24

    לֹאlonotתִנְאָףtin/AFyou shall commit adulteryוְהַנֹּאֵףve/han/no/EFand he that commits adulteryוְלֹאve/LOand notיָשׁוּבya/SHUVrepentsיְגֹרָשׁ׃ye/go/RASHshall be cast out

    Thou shalt not commit adultery; and he that committeth adultery, and repenteth not, shall be cast out.

25. 25

    אַךְakhbutהַנֹּאֵףhan/no/EFhe that committed adulteryוְשָׁבve/SHAVand repentsבְּכׇלbe/KHOLwith allלִבּוֹlib/BOhis heartוְעוֹזֵבve/o/ZEVand forsakesהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARitוְלֹאve/LOandיַעֲשֶׂנּוּya/a/sen/NUdoes itעוֹדodno moreתִּסְלַחtis/LACHyou shall forgiveלוֹ׃lohim

    But he that has committed adultery and repents with all his heart, and forsaketh it, and doeth it no more, thou shalt forgive;

26. 26

    אַךְakhbutאִםimifיַעֲשֶׂנּוּya/a/sen/NUhe does itשֵׁנִיתshe/NITagainלֹאlonotיִסָּלַחyis/sa/LACHshall it be forgivenלוֹlohimכִּי־אִםki-imbutיְגֹרָשׁ׃ye/go/RASHshall be cast out

    But if he doeth it again, he shall not be forgiven, but shall be cast out.

27. 27

    לֹאlonotתְדַבֵּרte/dab/BERyou shall speakרַעraevilעַלalofרֵעֲךָre/a/KHAyour neighborוְלֹאve/LOnorתָרַעta/RAdo harmלוֹ׃loto him

    Thou shalt not speak evil of thy neighbor, nor do him any harm.

28. 28

    יָדַעְתָּya/DA/tayou knowכִּיkithatחֻקּוֹתַיchuk/ko/TAYmy lawsעַלalconcerningהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseנְתוּנִיםne/tu/NIMare givenבִּכְתוּבַיbikh/tu/VAYin my scripturesהַחוֹטֵאha/cho/TEhe that sinsוְלֹאve/LOand notיָשׁוּבya/SHUVrepentsיְגֹרָשׁ׃ye/go/RASHshall be cast out

    Thou knowest my laws concerning these things are given in my scriptures; he that sinneth and repenteth not shall be cast out.

    אִםimifתֶּאֱהָבַנִיte/e/ha/va/NIyou love meתַּעַבְדֵנִיta/av/de/NIyou shall serve meוְתִשְׁמֹרve/tish/MORand you shall keepאֶת־כׇּלet-kolallמִצְוֹתָי׃mits/vo/TAYmy commandments

    If thou lovest me thou shalt serve me and keep all my commandments.

30. 30

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdתִזְכֹּרtiz/KORyou will rememberאֶת־הָעֲנִיִּיםet-ha/a/niy/YIMthe poorוְהִקְדַּשְׁתָּve/hik/dash/TAand consecrateמֵרְכוּשְׁךָmer/khush/KHAof your propertiesלְתׇמְכָםle/tom/KHAMfor their supportאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERthat whichתּוּכַלtu/KHALyou haveלָתֵתla/TETto impartלָהֶםla/HEMunto themבִּבְרִיתbiv/RITwith a covenantוּכְתָבu/khe/TAVand a deedאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹאlonotיוּפַר׃yu/FARcan be broken

    And behold, thou wilt remember the poor, and consecrate of thy properties for their support that which thou hast to impart unto them, with a covenant and a deed which cannot be broken.

    וּכְפִיu/khe/FIand inasmuchאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasתִּתֵּןtit/TENyou impartמֵרְכוּשְׁךָmer/khush/KHAof your substanceלָעֲנִיִּיםla/a/niy/YIMunto the poorתַּעֲשֶׂה־לִּיta/a/SE-liyou will do it unto meוְיוּבְאוּve/yuv/Uand they shall be laidלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeפְּקִידpe/KIDthe bishopכְּנֵסִיָּתִיke/ne/siy/ya/TIof my churchוְיוֹעֲצָיוve/yo/a/TSAYVand his counselorsשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimtwoמִןminofהַזְּקֵנִיםhaz/ze/ke/NIMthe eldersאוֹoorכֹּהֲנִיםko/ha/NIMpriestsגְּדוֹלִיםge/do/LIMhighאֲשֶׁרa/SHERsuch asיִבְחַרyiv/CHARhe shall appointאוֹoorבָחַרva/CHARappointedוְהִבְדִּילve/hiv/DILand set apartלַחֵפֶץla/CHE/fetsfor the purposeהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthat

    And inasmuch as ye impart of your substance unto the poor, ye will do it unto me; and they shall be laid before the bishop of my church and his counselors, two of the elders, or high priests, such as he shall appoint or has appointed and set apart for that purpose.

    And it shall come to pass, that after they are laid before the bishop of my church, and after that he has received these testimonies concerning the consecration of the properties of my church, that they cannot be taken from the church, agreeable to my commandments, every man shall be made accountable unto me, a steward over his own property, or that which he has received by consecration, as much as is sufficient for himself and family.

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againאִםimifיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beרְכוּשׁre/KHUSHpropertiesבִּידֵיbi/DEin the handsהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAof the churchאוֹoorאִישׁishany individualsיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreמִןminthanהַצֹּרֶךְhats/TSO/rekhis necessaryלְתׇמְכָםle/tom/KHAMfor their supportאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterהַתְּרוּמָהhat/te/ru/MAthe consecrationהָרִאשׁוֹנָהha/ri/sho/NAthe firstאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהוּאhuisעֹדֶףO/defa residueלְהַקְדִּישׁle/hak/DISHto consecrateלַפָּקִידlap/pa/KIDunto the bishopיִשָּׁמֵרyish/sha/MERit shall be keptלָתֵתla/TETto administerלַאֲשֶׁרla/a/SHERto those whoאֵין־לָהֶםen-la/HEMhave notמֵעֵתme/ETfrom timeעַד־עֵתad-etto timeלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatכׇּלkolallאִישׁishmanהֶחָסֵרhe/cha/SERwho has needיְכֻלְכַּלye/khul/KALmay be suppliedדַּיּוֹday/YOamplyוִיקַבֵּלvi/kab/BELand receiveכְּפִיke/FIaccording toמַחְסוֹרוֹ׃mach/so/ROhis wants

    And again, if there shall be properties in the hands of the church, or any individuals of it, more than is necessary for their support after this first consecration, which is a residue to be consecrated unto the bishop, it shall be kept to administer to those who have not, from time to time, that every man who has need may be amply supplied and receive according to his wants.

34. 34

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeהָעֹדֶףha/O/defthe residueיִשָּׁמֵרyish/sha/MERshall be keptבְּאוֹצָרִיbe/o/tsa/RIin my storehouseלָתֵתla/TETto administerלָעֲנִיִּיםla/a/niy/YIMto the poorוְלָאֶבְיוֹנִיםve/la/ev/yo/NIMand the needyכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיְמֻנֶּהye/mun/NEshall be appointedבְּיַדbe/YADbyמוֹעֶצֶתmo/E/tsetthe councilהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAof the churchהָעֶלְיוֹנָהha/el/yo/NAhighוְהַפָּקִידve/hap/pa/KIDand the bishopוּמוֹעַצְתּוֹ׃u/mo/ats/TOand his council

    Therefore, the residue shall be kept in my storehouse, to administer to the poor and the needy, as shall be appointed by the high council of the church, and the bishop and his council;

35. 35

    וּלְחֵפֶץu/le/CHE/fetsand for the purposeקְנוֹתke/NOTof purchasingאֲדָמוֹתa/da/MOTlandsלְטוֹבַתle/to/VATfor the public benefitהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAof the churchוּבִנְיַןu/vin/YANand buildingבָּתֵּיbat/TEhousesתְפִלָּהte/fil/LAof worshipוּבִנְיַןu/vin/YANand building upיְרוּשָׁלַיִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimof Jerusalemהַחֲדָשָׁהha/Cha/da/SHAthe Newאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתִּגָּלֶהtig/ga/LEshall be revealedאַחֲרֵי־כֵן׃a/cha/RE-khenhereafter

    And for the purpose of purchasing lands for the public benefit of the church, and building houses of worship, and building up of the New Jerusalem which is hereafter to be revealed—

36. 36

    לְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיֵאָסֵףye/a/SEFmay be gatheredעַםamthe peopleבְּרִיתִיbe/ri/TIof my covenantלְאֶחָדle/e/CHADin oneבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenאָבוֹאa/VOI shall comeאֶלeltoהֵיכָלִיhe/kha/LImy templeוְזֹאתve/ZOTand thisאֲנִיa/NIIעֹשֶׂהo/SEdoלִישׁוּעַתli/shu/ATfor the salvationעַמִּי׃am/MIof my people

    That my covenant people may be gathered in one in that day when I shall come to my temple. And this I do for the salvation of my people.

37. 37

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beהַחוֹטֵאha/cho/TEthat he that sinsוְלֹאve/LOand notיָשׁוּבya/SHUVrepentsיְגֹרַשׁye/go/RASHshall be cast outמִןminfromהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAthe churchוְלֹאve/LOand shall notיְקַבֵּלye/kab/BELreceiveעוֹדodagainאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERthat whichהִקְדִּישׁhik/DISHhe consecratedלָעֲנִיִּיםla/a/niy/YIMunto the poorוְלָאֶבְיוֹנִיםve/la/ev/yo/NIMand needyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERofבִּכְנֵסִיָּתִיbikh/ne/siy/ya/TImy churchאוֹoorבְמִלִּיםve/mil/LIMin wordsאֲחֵרוֹתa/che/ROTotherלִי׃liunto me

    And it shall come to pass, that he that sinneth and repenteth not shall be cast out of the church, and shall not receive again that which he has consecrated unto the poor and the needy of my church, or in other words, unto me—

38. 38

    כִּיkiforכְּפִיke/FIinasmuchאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasתַּעֲשׂוּta/a/SUyou do itלַקְּטַנִּיםlak/ke/tan/NIMunto the leastהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/leof theseלִיliunto meתַעֲשׂוּ׃ta/a/SUyou do it

    For inasmuch as ye do it unto the least of these, ye do it unto me.

39. 39

    כִּיkiforיִהְיֶהyih/YEit shall beאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI spokeבְּפִיbe/FIby the mouthsנְבִיאַיne/vi/AYof my prophetsיָקוּםya/KUMshall be fulfilledכִּיkiforאֲקַדֵּשׁa/kad/DESHI will consecrateמֵעֹשֶׁרme/O/sherof the richesהַמְקַבְּלִיםham/kab/be/LIMof those who embraceבְּשׂוֹרָתִיbe/so/ra/TImy gospelבֵּיןbenamongהַגּוֹיִםhag/Go/YIMthe Gentilesלַעֲנִיֵּיla/a/niy/YEunto the poorעַמִּיam/MIof my peopleאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho areמִבֵּיתmib/BETof the houseיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELof Israel

    For it shall come to pass, that which I spake by the mouths of my prophets shall be fulfilled; for I will consecrate of the riches of those who embrace my gospel among the Gentiles unto the poor of my people who are of the house of Israel.

40. 40

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againלֹאlonotתִגְבַּהּtig/BAbe proudבְלִבֶּךָve/lib/BE/khain your heartיִהְיוּyih/YUlet beכׇלkholallבְּגָדֶיךָbe/ga/DE/khayour garmentsצְנוּעִיםtse/nu/IMplainוְיׇפְיָםve/yof/YAMand their beautyיְפִיye/FIthe beautyמַעֲשֵׂהma/a/SEof the workיָדֶיךָ׃ya/de/KHAof your own hands

    And again, thou shalt not be proud in thy heart; let all thy garments be plain, and their beauty the beauty of the work of thine own hands;

41. 41

    וְיֵעָשֶׂהve/ye/a/SEand let be doneכׇלkholallדָּבָרda/VARthingsבְּנִקָּיוֹןbe/nik/ka/YONin cleanlinessלְפָנָי׃le/fa/NAYbefore me

    And let all things be done in cleanliness before me.

42. 42

    לֹאlonotתִהְיֶהtih/YEyou shall beעָצֵלa/TSELidleכִּיkiforהָעָצֵלha/a/TSELhe that is idleלֹאlonotיֹאכַלyo/KHALshall eatלֶחֶםLE/chemthe breadוְלֹאve/LOnorיִלְבַּשׁyil/BASHwearבִּגְדֵיbig/DEthe garmentsהַפּוֹעֵל׃hap/po/ELof the laborer

    Thou shalt not be idle; for he that is idle shall not eat the bread nor wear the garments of the laborer.

43. 43

    וְכׇלve/KHOLand whosoeverחוֹלֶהcho/LEare sickבָּכֶםba/KHEMamong youוְאֵין־לוֹve/EN-loand have notאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithלְהֵרָפֵאle/he/ra/FEto be healedאַךְakhbutמַאֲמִיןma/a/MINbelieveיוּזַןyu/ZANshall be nourishedבְּכׇלbe/KHOLwith allרֹךְrokhtendernessבַּעֲשָׂבִיםba/a/sa/VIMwith herbsוּבְמַאֲכָלu/ve/ma/a/KHALand foodקַלkalmildוְלֹאve/LOand that notבְיַדve/YADby the handאוֹיֵב׃o/YEVof an enemy

    And whosoever among you are sick, and have not faith to be healed, but believe, shall be nourished with all tenderness, with herbs and mild food, and that not by the hand of an enemy.

44. 44

    וְזִקְנֵיve/zik/NEand the eldersהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAof the churchשְׁנַיִםshe/NA/yimtwoאוֹoorיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreיִקָּרְאוּyik/ka/re/Ushall be calledוְיִתְפַּלְלוּve/yit/pal/LUand shall pray forוְיָשִׂימוּve/ya/SI/muand layיְדֵיהֶםye/de/HEMtheir handsעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themבִּשְׁמִיbish/MIin my nameוְאִםve/IMand ifיָמוּתוּya/MU/tuthey dieלִיliunto meיָמוּתוּya/MU/tuthey shall dieוְאִםve/IMand ifיִחְיוּyich/YUthey liveלִיliunto meיִחְיוּ׃yich/YUthey shall live

    And the elders of the church, two or more, shall be called, and shall pray for and lay their hands upon them in my name; and if they die they shall die unto me, and if they live they shall live unto me.

45. 45

    חֲיוּcha/YUyou shall liveיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherבְּאַהֲבָהbe/a/ha/VAin loveעַדadinsomuchכִּיkithatתִבְכּוּtiv/KUyou shall weepעַלalforאׇבְדַןov/DANthe lossהַמֵּתִיםham/me/TIMof them that dieוּבְיֶתֶרu/ve/YE/terand more especiallyעַלalforאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthoseאֵין־לָהֶםen-la/HEMhave notתִּקְוַתtik/VAThopeתְּחִיָּהte/chiy/YAof a resurrectionמְפֹאָרָה׃me/fo/a/RAglorious

    Thou shalt live together in love, insomuch that thou shalt weep for the loss of them that die, and more especially for those that have not hope of a glorious resurrection.

46. 46

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beהַמֵּתִיםham/me/TIMthat those that dieבִּיbiin meלֹאlonotיִטְעֲמוּyit/a/MUshall tasteמָוֶתMA/vetof deathכִּיkiforמָתוֹקma/TOKsweetיִהְיֶהyih/YEit shall beלָהֶם׃la/HEMunto them

    And it shall come to pass that those that die in me shall not taste of death, for it shall be sweet unto them;

47. 47

    וְהַמֵּתִיםve/ham/me/TIMand they that dieאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoלֹאlonotבִיviin meאוֹיoywoלָהֶםla/HEMunto themכִּיkiforמוֹתָםmo/TAMtheir deathמַר׃maris bitter

    And they that die not in me, wo unto them, for their death is bitter.

48. 48

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againיִהְיֶהyih/YEit shall beהַמַּאֲמִיןham/ma/a/MINthat he that has faithבִּיbiin meלְהֵרָפֵאle/he/ra/FEto be healedוְאֵינֶנּוּve/e/NEN/nuand is notמְמֻנֶּהme/mun/NEappointedלָמוּתla/MUTunto deathיֵרָפֵא׃ye/ra/FEshall be healed

    And again, it shall come to pass that he that hath faith in me to be healed, and is not appointed unto death, shall be healed.

49. 49

    הַמַּאֲמִיןham/ma/a/MINhe who has faithלִרְאוֹתlir/OTto seeיִרְאֶה׃yir/Eshall see

    He who hath faith to see shall see.

50. 50

    הַמַּאֲמִיןham/ma/a/MINhe who has faithלִשְׁמֹעַlish/MO/ato hearיִשְׁמָע׃yish/MAshall hear

    He who hath faith to hear shall hear.

51. 51

    הַפִּסֵּחַhap/pis/SE/achthe lameהַמַּאֲמִיןham/ma/a/MINwho has faithלְדַלֵּגle/dal/LEGto leapיְדַלֵּג׃ye/dal/LEGshall leap

    The lame who hath faith to leap shall leap.

52. 52

    וַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand they whoאֵין־לָהֶםen-la/HEMhave notאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAfaithלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאַךְakhbutמַאֲמִינִיםma/a/mi/NIMbelieveבִּיbiin meיֶשׁ־לָהֶםyesh-la/HEMhaveכֹּחַKO/achpowerלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto becomeבָּנַיba/NAYmy sonsוּכְפִיu/khe/FIand inasmuchאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasלֹאlonotיָפֵרוּya/fe/RUthey breakחֻקּוֹתַיchuk/ko/TAYmy lawsתִּשְׂאוּtis/Uyou shall bearחֻלְשׁוֹתֵיהֶם׃chul/sho/te/HEMtheir infirmities

    And they who have not faith to do these things, but believe in me, have power to become my sons; and inasmuch as they break not my laws thou shalt bear their infirmities.

53. 53

    תַּעֲמֹדta/a/MODyou shall standבִּמְקוֹםbim/KOMin the placeפְּקֻדָּתֶךָ׃pe/kud/da/te/KHAof your stewardship

    Thou shalt stand in the place of thy stewardship.

54. 54

    לֹאlonotתִקַּחtik/KACHyou shall takeבֶּגֶדBE/gedthe garmentאָחִיךָa/CHI/khaof your brotherתְּשַׁלֵּםte/shal/LEMyou shall payבְּעַדbe/ADforאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat whichתְּקַבֵּלte/kab/BELyou shall receiveמֵאָחִיךָ׃me/a/chi/KHAof your brother

    Thou shalt not take thy brother's garment; thou shalt pay for that which thou shalt receive of thy brother.

55. 55

    וְאִםve/IMand ifתַּשִּׂיגtas/SIGyou obtainיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreמִמִּחְיָתְךָmim/mich/ya/te/KHAthan that which would be for your supportתִּתְּנֶנּוּtit/te/NEN/nuyou shall give itלְאוֹצָרִיle/o/tsa/RIinto my storehouseלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיֵעָשֶׂהye/a/SEmay be doneכׇּלkolallדָּבָרda/VARthingsכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERaccording toאָמָרְתִּי׃a/mar/TIthat which I said

    And if thou obtainest more than that which would be for thy support, thou shalt give it into my storehouse, that all things may be done according to that which I have said.

56. 56

    שְׁאַלshe/ALyou shall askוּכְתוּבַיu/khe/tu/VAYand my scripturesיִנָּתְנוּyin/na/te/NUshall be givenכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasמִנִּיתִיmin/ni/TII appointedוְיִשָּׁמְרוּve/yish/sha/me/RUand they shall be preservedבְּבֶטַח׃be/ve/TACHin safety

    Thou shalt ask, and my scriptures shall be given as I have appointed, and they shall be preserved in safety;

57. 57

    וְנָכוֹןve/na/KHONand it is expedientלְךָle/KHAthat youלְהַחֲרִישׁle/ha/cha/RISHshould hold your peaceעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMconcerning themוְלֹאve/LOand notלְלַמְּדָםle/lam/me/DAMteach themעַדaduntilקַבֶּלְכֶםkab/bel/KHEMyou receivedאֹתָםo/TAMthemבִּמְלוֹאָם׃bim/lo/AMin full

    And it is expedient that thou shouldst hold thy peace concerning them, and not teach them until ye have received them in full.

58. 58

    וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iנֹתֵןno/TENgiveלָכֶםla/KHEMyouמִצְוָהmits/VAa commandmentכִּיkithatאָזazthenתְּלַמְּדוּםte/lam/me/DUMyou shall teach themלְכׇלle/KHOLunto allאָדָםa/DAMmenכִּיkiforיִלָּמְדוּyil/la/me/DUthey shall be taughtלְכׇלle/KHOLunto allגּוֹיִםgo/YIMnationsמִשְׁפָּחוֹתmish/pa/CHOTkindredsלְשׁוֹנוֹתle/sho/NOTtonguesוְעַמִּים׃ve/am/MIMand people

    And I give unto you a commandment that then ye shall teach them unto all men; for they shall be taught unto all nations, kindreds, tongues and people.

59. 59

    תִּקַּחtik/KACHyou shall takeאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichקִבַּלְתָּkib/bal/TAyou receivedהַנְּתוּנִיםhan/ne/tu/NIMwhich have been givenלְךָle/KHAyouבִּכְתוּבַיbikh/tu/VAYin my scripturesלְתוֹרָהle/to/RAfor a lawלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beתּוֹרָתִיto/ra/TImy lawלְנַהֵלle/na/HELto governכְּנֵסִיָּתִי׃ke/ne/siy/ya/TImy church

    Thou shalt take the things which thou hast received, which have been given unto thee in my scriptures for a law, to be my law to govern my church;

60. 60

    וְהָעֹשֶׂהve/ha/o/SEand he that doesכַּדְּבָרִיםkad/de/va/RIMaccording to thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseיִוָּשַׁעyiv/va/SHAshall be savedוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand he thatלֹאlonotיַעֲשֵׂםya/a/SEMdoes themיֶאְשַׁםye/SHAMshall be damnedאִם־כֹּהim-koif soיַעֲמֹד׃ya/a/MODhe continue

    And he that doeth according to these things shall be saved, and he that doeth them not shall be damned if he so continue.

61. 61

    אִםimifתִּשְׁאַלtish/ALyou shall askתְּקַבֵּלte/kab/BELyou shall receiveחָזוֹןcha/ZONrevelationעַלaluponחָזוֹןcha/ZONrevelationדַּעַתDA/atknowledgeעַלaluponדַּעַתDA/atknowledgeלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתֵּדַעte/DAyou may knowסוֹדוֹתso/DOTthe mysteriesוְדִבְרֵיve/div/REand the thingsשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceableאֶת־הַמֵּבִיאet-ham/me/VIthat which bringsשִׂמְחָהsim/CHAjoyאֶת־הַמֵּבִיאet-ham/me/VIthat which bringsחַיֵּיchay/YElifeעוֹלָם׃o/LAMeternal

    If thou shalt ask, thou shalt receive revelation upon revelation, knowledge upon knowledge, that thou mayest know the mysteries and peaceable things—that which bringeth joy, that which bringeth life eternal.

62. 62

    שְׁאַלshe/ALyou shall askוְיִגָּלֶהve/yig/ga/LEand it shall be revealedלְךָle/KHAunto youבְּעִתִּיbe/it/TIin my own due timeאֵיפֹהe/FOwhereתִּבָּנֶהtib/ba/NEshall be builtיְרוּשָׁלַיִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemהַחֲדָשָׁה׃ha/Cha/da/SHAthe New

    Thou shalt ask, and it shall be revealed unto you in mine own due time where the New Jerusalem shall be built.

63. 63

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdיִהְיֶהyih/YEit shall beכִּיkithatעֲבָדַיa/va/DAYmy servantsיִשָּׁלְחוּyish/sha/le/CHUshall be sent forthלַמִּזְרָחlam/miz/RACHto the eastוְלַמַּעֲרָבve/lam/ma/a/RAVand to the westלַצָּפוֹןlats/tsa/FONto the northוְלַדָּרוֹם׃ve/lad/da/ROMand to the south

    And behold, it shall come to pass that my servants shall be sent forth to the east and to the west, to the north and to the south.

64. 64

    וְגַםve/GAMand evenעַתָּהat/TAnowהַהֹלֵךְha/ho/LEKHlet him that goesלַמִּזְרָחlam/miz/RACHto the eastיְלַמֵּדye/lam/MEDteachאֶת־הַשָּׁבִיםet-hash/sha/VIMthem that shall be convertedלָנוּסla/NUSto fleeלַמַּעֲרָבlam/ma/a/RAVto the westוְזֹאתve/ZOTand thisבִּגְלַלbig/LALbecause ofהַבָּאhab/BAthat which is comingעַלalonהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthוּבִגְלַלu/vig/LALand because ofקִשְׁרֵיkish/REcombinationsסֵתֶר׃se/TERsecret

    And even now, let him that goeth to the east teach them that shall be converted to flee to the west, and this in consequence of that which is coming on the earth, and of secret combinations.

65. 65

    Behold, thou shalt observe all these things, and great shall be thy reward; for unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom, but unto the world it is not given to know them.

66. 66

    תִּשְׁמְרוּtish/me/RUyou shall observeאֶת־הַחֻקִּיםet-ha/chuk/KIMthe lawsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichקִבַּלְתֶּםkib/bal/TEMyou receivedוֶהֱיוּve/he/YUand beנֶאֱמָנִים׃ne/e/ma/NIMfaithful

    Ye shall observe the laws which ye have received and be faithful.

67. 67

    וְאַחֲרֵי־כֵןve/a/cha/RE-khenand hereafterתְּקַבְּלוּte/kab/be/LUyou shall receiveבְּרִיתוֹתbe/ri/TOTcovenantsהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAof the churchכְּדֵיke/DEsuch as shall be sufficientלְכוֹנֵןle/kho/NENto establishאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouהֵנָּהHEN/naboth hereוּבִירוּשָׁלַיִםu/Vi/ru/sha/LA/yimand in Jerusalemהַחֲדָשָׁה׃ha/Cha/da/SHAthe New

    And ye shall hereafter receive church covenants, such as shall be sufficient to establish you, both here and in the New Jerusalem.

68. 68

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeהַחֲסַרha/cha/SARhe that lacksחׇכְמָהchokh/MAwisdomיִשְׁאַלyish/ALlet him askמִמֶּנִּיmim/MEN/niof meוְאֶתֵּןve/et/TENand I will giveלוֹlohimבִּנְדִיבָהbin/di/VAliberallyוְלֹאve/LOand notאֶגְעַרeg/ARupbraidבּוֹ׃bohim

    Therefore, he that lacketh wisdom, let him ask of me, and I will give him liberally and upbraid him not.

69. 69

    הָרִימוּha/RI/mulift upלְבַבְכֶםle/vav/KHEMyour heartsוְשִׂמְחוּve/sim/CHUand rejoiceכִּיkiforלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youהַמַּלְכוּתham/mal/KHUTthe kingdomאוֹoorבְמִלִּיםve/mil/LIMin wordsאֲחֵרוֹתa/che/ROTotherמַפְתְּחוֹתmaf/te/CHOTthe keysהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAof the churchנִתְּנוּnit/te/NUhave been givenכֵּןkeneven soיְהִיye/HIbe itאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

    Lift up your hearts and rejoice, for unto you the kingdom, or in other words, the keys of the church have been given. Even so. Amen.

70. 70

    לַכֹּהֲנִיםlak/ko/ha/NIMthe priestsוְלַמּוֹרִיםve/lam/mo/RIMand teachersתִּהְיֶינָהtih/YE/nashall haveפְקֻדּוֹתֵיהֶםfe/kud/do/te/HEMtheir stewardshipsכַּחֲבֵרִים׃ka/cha/ve/RIMeven as the members

    The priests and teachers shall have their stewardships, even as the members.

71. 71

    וְהַזְּקֵנִיםve/haz/ze/ke/NIMand the eldersאוֹoorהַכֹּהֲנִיםhak/ko/ha/NIMpriestsהַגְּדוֹלִיםhag/ge/do/LIMhighהַמְמֻנִּיםham/mun/NIMwho are appointedלַעְזֹרla/ZORto assistלַפָּקִידlap/pa/KIDthe bishopכְּיוֹעֲצִיםke/yo/a/TSIMas counselorsבְּכׇלbe/KHOLin allדָּבָרda/VARthingsיְכֻלְכְּלוּye/khul/ke/LUare to have supportedמִשְׁפְּחוֹתֵיהֶםmish/pe/cho/te/HEMtheir familiesמִןminout ofהָרְכוּשׁha/re/KHUSHthe propertyהַמֻּקְדָּשׁham/muk/DASHwhich is consecratedלַפָּקִידlap/pa/KIDto the bishopלְטוֹבַתle/to/VATfor the goodהָעֲנִיִּיםha/a/niy/YIMof the poorוְלַחֲפָצִיםve/la/cha/fa/TSIMand for purposesאֲחֵרִיםa/che/RIMotherכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERas beforeנֶאֱמַר׃ne/e/MARmentioned

    And the elders or high priests who are appointed to assist the bishop as counselors in all things, are to have their families supported out of the property which is consecrated to the bishop, for the good of the poor, and for other purposes, as before mentioned;

72. 72

    אוֹoorיְקַבְּלוּye/kab/be/LUthey are to receiveשְׂכַרse/KHARa remunerationצֶדֶקTSE/dekjustבְּעַדbe/ADforכׇּלkolallעֲבֹדָתָםa/vo/da/TAMtheir servicesפְקֻדָּהfe/kud/DAeither a stewardshipאוֹoorאַחֶרֶתa/CHE/retotherwiseכַּטּוֹבkat/TOVas may be thought bestבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyesהַיּוֹעֲצִיםhay/yo/a/TSIMof the counselorsוְהַפָּקִידve/hap/pa/KIDand bishopאוֹoorכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיִגָּזֵר׃yig/ga/ZERdecided

    Or they are to receive a just remuneration for all their services, either a stewardship or otherwise, as may be thought best or decided by the counselors and bishop.

73. 73

    וְהַפָּקִידve/hap/pa/KIDand the bishopגַּםgamalsoהוּאhuheיְקַבֵּלye/kab/BELshall receiveמִחְיָתוֹmich/ya/TOhis supportאוֹoorשְׂכַרse/KHARa remunerationצֶדֶקTSE/dekjustבְּעַדbe/ADforכׇּלkolallעֲבֹדָתוֹa/vo/da/TOhis servicesבַּכְּנֵסִיָּה׃bak/ke/ne/siy/YAin the church

    And the bishop, also, shall receive his support, or a just remuneration for all his services in the church.

74. 74

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youכׇּלkolthat whateverאִישׁishpersonsבָּכֶםba/KHEMamong youאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoגֵּרֵשׁge/RESHhaving put awayאֶת־חֲבֶרְתּוֹet-cha/ver/TOhis companionבִּגְלַלbig/LALfor the causeזְנוּתze/NUTof fornicationאוֹoorבְמִלִּיםve/mil/LIMin wordsאֲחֵרוֹתa/che/ROTotherאִםimifיָעִידוּya/i/DUthey shall testifyלִפְנֵיכֶםlif/ne/KHEMbefore youבִּשְׁפַלbish/FALin all lowlinessלֵבlevof heartכִּיkithatכֵּןkenthis isהוּאhuthe caseלֹאlonotתְגָרְשׁוּםte/ga/re/SHUMyou shall cast them outמִקִּרְבְּכֶם׃mik/kir/be/KHEMfrom among you

    Behold, verily I say unto you, that whatever persons among you, having put away their companions for the cause of fornication, or in other words, if they shall testify before you in all lowliness of heart that this is the case, ye shall not cast them out from among you;

75. 75

    אַךְakhbutאִםimifתִּמְצְאוּtim/tse/Uyou shall findכִּיkithatאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMany personsעָזְבוּa/ze/VUleftאֶת־חַבְרֵיהֶםet-chav/re/HEMtheir companionsבִּגְלַלbig/LALfor the sake ofנִאֻפִיםni/u/FIMadulteryוְהֵםve/HEMand they themselvesהַחוֹטְאִיםha/chot/IMare the offendersוְחַבְרֵיהֶםve/chav/re/HEMand their companionsחַיִּיםchay/YIMare livingיְגֹרְשׁוּye/gor/SHUthey shall be cast outמִקִּרְבְּכֶם׃mik/kir/be/KHEMfrom among you

    But if ye shall find that any persons have left their companions for the sake of adultery, and they themselves are the offenders, and their companions are living, they shall be cast out from among you.

76. 76

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youהֱיוּhe/YUthat you shall beעֵרִיםe/RIMwatchfulוְנִזְהָרִיםve/niz/ha/RIMand carefulבְּכׇלbe/KHOLwith allחֵקֶרCHE/kerinquiryכִּיkithatלֹאlonotתְקַבְּלוּte/kab/be/LUyou receiveכָּאֵלֶּהka/EL/lenone suchבֵּינֵיכֶםbe/ne/KHEMamong youאִםimifנְשׂוּאִיםne/su/IMmarriedהֵם׃hemthey are

    And again, I say unto you, that ye shall be watchful and careful, with all inquiry, that ye receive none such among you if they are married;

77. 77

    וְאִםve/IMand ifאֵינָםe/NAMthey are notנְשׂוּאִיםne/su/IMmarriedיָשׁוּבוּya/SHU/vuthey shall repentמִכׇּלmik/KOLof allחַטֹּאתֵיהֶםchat/to/te/HEMtheir sinsוְאִםve/IMand ifלֹאlonotלֹאlonotתְקַבְּלוּם׃te/kab/be/LUMyou receive them

    And if they are not married, they shall repent of all their sins or ye shall not receive them.

78. 78

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againכׇּלkoleveryאָדָםa/DAMpersonאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho belongsלִכְנֵסִיַּתlikh/ne/siy/YATto churchהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achof Christהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisיִשְׁמֹרyish/MORshall observeלִשְׁמֹרlish/MORto keepאֶת־כׇּלet-kolallמִצְוֹתmits/VOTthe commandmentsוּבְרִיתוֹתu/ve/ri/TOTand covenantsהַכְּנֵסִיָּה׃hak/ke/ne/siy/YAof the church

    And again, every person who belongeth to this church of Christ, shall observe to keep all the commandments and covenants of the church.

79. 79

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beאִםimthat ifיַהַרְגוּya/har/GUshall killאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMany personsבֵּינֵיכֶםbe/ne/KHEMamong youיִמָּסְרוּyim/ma/se/RUthey shall be delivered upוְיִשָּׁפְטוּve/yish/sha/fe/TUand dealt withכְּחֻקֵּיke/chuk/KEaccording to the lawsהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the landכִּיkiforזָכוֹרza/KHORrememberאֵין־לוֹen-lohe has noסְלִיחָהse/li/CHAforgivenessוְיוֹכַחve/yo/KHACHand it shall be provedכְּחֻקֵּיke/chuk/KEaccording to the lawsהָאָרֶץ׃ha/a/RETSof the land

    And it shall come to pass, that if any persons among you shall kill they shall be delivered up and dealt with according to the laws of the land; for remember that he hath no forgiveness; and it shall be proved according to the laws of the land.

80. 80

    וְאִםve/IMand ifיִנְאַףyin/AFshall commit adulteryאִישׁisha manאוֹoorאִשָּׁהish/SHAwomanיִשָּׁפֵטyish/sha/FEThe or she shall be triedלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeשְׁנֵיshe/NEtwoזִקְנֵיzik/NEeldersהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAof the churchאוֹoorיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreוְכׇלve/KHOLand everyדָּבָרda/VARwordיֻקַּםyuk/KAMshall be establishedעָלָיוa/LAYVagainst himאוֹoorעָלֶיהָa/LE/haagainst herבִּשְׁנֵיbish/NEby twoעֵדִיםe/DIMwitnessesמִןminofהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAthe churchוְלֹאve/LOand notמִןminofהָאוֹיֵבha/o/YEVthe enemyאַךְakhbutאִםimifיֶשׁyeshthere areיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreמִשְּׁנֵיmish/she/NEthan twoעֵדִיםe/DIMwitnessesטוֹבtovit is goodיוֹתֵר׃yo/TERthe more

    And if any man or woman shall commit adultery, he or she shall be tried before two elders of the church, or more, and every word shall be established against him or her by two witnesses of the church, and not of the enemy; but if there are more than two witnesses it is better.

81. 81

    אַךְakhbutיֻרְשַׁעyur/SHAhe or she shall be condemnedבְּפִיbe/FIby the mouthשְׁנֵיshe/NEof twoעֵדִיםe/DIMwitnessesוְהַזְּקֵנִיםve/haz/ze/ke/NIMand the eldersיָבִיאוּya/VI/ushall layהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthe caseלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAthe churchוְהַכְּנֵסִיָּהve/hak/ke/ne/siy/YAand the churchתָּרִיםta/RIMshall lift upיָדֶיהָya/DE/hatheir handsנֶגְדּוֹneg/DOagainst himאוֹoorנֶגְדָּהּneg/DAherלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִשָּׁפְטוּyish/sha/fe/TUthey may be dealt withכְּתוֹרַתke/to/RATaccording to the lawאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMof God

    But he or she shall be condemned by the mouth of two witnesses; and the elders shall lay the case before the church, and the church shall lift up their hands against him or her, that they may be dealt with according to the law of God.

82. 82

    וְאִםve/IMand ifיוּכַלyu/KHALit canהֱיוֹתhe/YOTbeנָחוּץna/CHUTSit is necessaryכִּיkithatיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beגַםgamalsoהַפָּקִידhap/pa/KIDthe bishopנֹכֵחַ׃no/KHE/achpresent

    And if it can be, it is necessary that the bishop be present also.

83. 83

    וְכֵןve/KHENand thusתַּעֲשׂוּta/a/SUyou shall doבְּכׇלbe/KHOLin allהַמִּקְרִיםham/mik/RIMcasesהַבָּאִיםhab/ba/IMwhich shall comeלִפְנֵיכֶם׃lif/ne/KHEMbefore you

    And thus ye shall do in all cases which shall come before you.

84. 84

    וְאִםve/IMand ifיִגְזֹלyig/ZOLshall robאִישׁisha manאוֹoorאִשָּׁהish/SHAa womanיִמָּסֵרyim/ma/SERhe or she shall be delivered upלְחֹקle/CHOKunto the lawהָאָרֶץ׃ha/a/RETSof the land

    And if a man or woman shall rob, he or she shall be delivered up unto the law of the land.

85. 85

    וְאִםve/IMand ifיִגְנֹבyig/NOVhe or she shall stealיִמָּסֵרyim/ma/SERhe or she shall be delivered upלְחֹקle/CHOKunto the lawהָאָרֶץ׃ha/a/RETSof the land

    And if he or she shall steal, he or she shall be delivered up unto the law of the land.

86. 86

    וְאִםve/IMand ifיְשַׁקֵּרye/shak/KERhe or she shall lieיִמָּסֵרyim/ma/SERhe or she shall be delivered upלְחֹקle/CHOKunto the lawהָאָרֶץ׃ha/a/RETSof the land

    And if he or she shall lie, he or she shall be delivered up unto the law of the land.

87. 87

    וְאִםve/IMand ifיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEhe or she doכׇּלkolany mannerעָוֹןa/VONof iniquityיִמָּסֵרyim/ma/SERhe or she shall be delivered upלַחֹקla/CHOKunto the lawאַףafevenלַאֲשֶׁרla/a/SHERthatלֵאלֹהִים׃le/lo/HIMof God

    And if he or she do any manner of iniquity, he or she shall be delivered up unto the law, even that of God.

88. 88

    וְאִםve/IMand ifיֶחֱטָאye/che/TAoffendלְךָle/KHAyouאָחִיךָa/CHI/khayour brotherאוֹoorאֲחוֹתְךָa/chot/KHAsisterקַחkachyou shall takeאוֹתוֹo/TOhimאוֹoorאֹתָהּo/TAherבֵּינְךָbe/ne/KHAbetween youוּבֵינוֹu/ve/NOand himאוֹoorוּבֵינָהּu/ve/NAand herלְבַדְּכֶםle/vad/de/KHEMaloneוְאִםve/IMand ifיוֹדֶהyo/DEhe or she confessתִתְרַצֶּה׃tit/rats/TSEyou shall be reconciled

    And if thy brother or sister offend thee, thou shalt take him or her between him or her and thee alone; and if he or she confess thou shalt be reconciled.

89. 89

    וְאִםve/IMand ifלֹאlonotיוֹדֶהyo/DEhe or she confessתִּמְסֹרtim/SORyou shall deliverאֹתוֹo/TOhimאוֹoorאֹתָהּo/TAherלַכְּנֵסִיָּהlak/ke/ne/siy/YAup unto the churchלֹאlonotלַחֲבֵרִיםla/cha/ve/RIMto the membersכִּי־אִםki-imbutלַזְּקֵנִיםlaz/ze/ke/NIMto the eldersוְיֵעָשֶׂהve/ye/a/SEand it shall be doneבַּאֲסֵפָהba/a/se/FAin a meetingוְלֹאve/LOand that notלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהָעוֹלָם׃ha/o/LAMthe world

    And if he or she confess not thou shalt deliver him or her up unto the church, not to the members, but to the elders. And it shall be done in a meeting, and that not before the world.

90. 90

    וְאִםve/IMand ifיֶחֱטָאye/che/TAoffendאָחִיךָa/CHI/khayour brotherאוֹoorאֲחוֹתְךָa/chot/KHAsisterלָרַבִּיםla/rab/BIMmanyיִוָּסֵרyiv/va/SERhe or she shall be chastenedלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeרַבִּים׃rab/BIMmany

    And if thy brother or sister offend many, he or she shall be chastened before many.

91. 91

    וְאִםve/IMand ifיֶחֱטָאye/che/TAany one offendבַּגָּלוּיbag/ga/LUYopenlyיוּכַחyu/KHACHhe or she shall be rebukedבַּגָּלוּיbag/ga/LUYopenlyלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיֵבוֹשׁye/VOSHhe or she may be ashamedוְאִםve/IMand ifלֹאlonotיוֹדֶהyo/DEhe or she confessיִמָּסֵרyim/ma/SERhe or she shall be delivered upלְתוֹרַתle/to/RATunto the lawאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMof God

    And if any one offend openly, he or she shall be rebuked openly, that he or she may be ashamed. And if he or she confess not, he or she shall be delivered up unto the law of God.

92. 92

    אִםimifיֶחֱטָאye/che/TAany shall offendבַסֵּתֶרvas/SE/terin secretיוּכַחyu/KHACHhe or she shall be rebukedבַסֵּתֶרvas/SE/terin secretלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִהְיֶה־לּוֹyih/YE-lothere may be to himאוֹoorלָהּlato herמָקוֹםma/KOMopportunityלְהוֹדוֹתle/ho/DOTto confessבַסֵּתֶרvas/SE/terin secretלוֹloto himאוֹoorלָהּlaor herאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomחָטָאcha/TAhe or she offendedלוֹloagainst himאוֹoorלָהּlaherוְלֵאלֹהִיםve/le/lo/HIMand to Godלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAthe churchלֹאlonotתְדַבֵּרte/dab/BERmay speakחֶרְפָּהcher/PAreproachfullyעָלָיוa/LAYVof himאוֹoorעָלֶיהָ׃a/le/HAher

    If any shall offend in secret, he or she shall be rebuked in secret, that he or she may have opportunity to confess in secret to him or her whom he or she has offended, and to God, that the church may not speak reproachfully of him or her.

93. 93

    וְכֵןve/KHENand thusתִּנְהֲגוּtin/ha/GUshall you conductבְּכׇלbe/KHOLin allדָּבָר׃da/VARthings

    And thus shall ye conduct in all things.
