   Hearken and hear, O ye my people, saith the Lord and your God, ye whom I delight to bless with the greatest of all blessings, ye that hear me; and ye that hear me not will I curse, that have professed my name, with the heaviest of all cursings.

   Hearken, O ye elders of my church whom I have called, behold I give unto you a commandment, that ye shall assemble yourselves together to agree upon my word;

   וּבִתְפִלַּתu/vit/fil/LATand by the prayerאֱמוּנַתְכֶםe/mu/nat/KHEMof your faithתְּקַבְּלוּte/kab/be/LUyou shall receiveתּוֹרָתִיto/ra/TImy lawלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתֵּדְעוּted/Uyou may knowלְנַהֵלle/na/HELhow to governאֶת־כְּנֵסִיָּתִיet-ke/ne/siy/ya/TImy churchוְלַעֲשׂוֹתve/la/a/SOTand haveכׇּלkolallדָּבָרda/VARthingsיָשָׁרya/SHARrightלְפָנָי׃le/fa/NAYbefore me

   And by the prayer of your faith ye shall receive my law, that ye may know how to govern my church and have all things right before me.

   וַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iאֶהְיֶהeh/YEwill beמוֹשֶׁלְכֶםmo/shel/KHEMyour rulerבְּבוֹאִיbe/vo/Iwhen I comeוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdמְהֵרָהme/he/RAquicklyאָבוֹאa/VOI comeוְתִרְאוּve/tir/Uand you shall seeכִּיkithatתּוֹרָתִיto/ra/TImy lawנִשְׁמֶרֶת׃nish/me/RETis kept

   And I will be your ruler when I come; and behold, I come quickly, and ye shall see that my law is kept.

   הַמְקַבֵּלham/kab/BELhe that receivesתּוֹרָתִיto/ra/TImy lawוְעֹשֶׂהve/O/seand doesאֹתָהּo/TAitהוּאhuthe same isתַלְמִידִיtal/mi/DImy discipleוְהָאֹמֵרve/ha/o/MERand he that saysכִּיkithatמְקַבֵּלme/kab/BELreceivesהוּאhuheאֹתָהּo/TAitוְלֹאve/LOand notיַעֲשֶׂנָּהya/a/SEN/nadoes itאֵינֶנּוּe/NEN/nuthe same is notתַלְמִידִיtal/mi/DImy discipleוִיגֹרַשׁvi/go/RASHand shall be cast outמִקִּרְבְּכֶם׃mik/kir/be/KHEMfrom among you

   He that receiveth my law and doeth it, the same is my disciple; and he that saith he receiveth it and doeth it not, the same is not my disciple, and shall be cast out from among you;

   כִּיkiforלֹאlonotנָכוֹןna/KHONit is meetלָתֵתla/TETthat be givenאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERthe things whichלִבְנֵיliv/NEbelong to the childrenהַמַּלְכוּתham/mal/KHUTof the kingdomלַאֲשֶׁרla/a/SHERto them thatאֵינָםe/NAMare notרְאוּיִיםre/u/YIMworthyאוֹoorלַכְּלָבִיםlak/ke/la/VIMto dogsאוֹoorלְהַשְׁלִיךְle/hash/LIKHto castפְּנִינִיםpe/ni/NIMthe pearlsלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהַחֲזִירִים׃ha/cha/zi/RIMswine

   For it is not meet that the things which belong to the children of the kingdom should be given to them that are not worthy, or to dogs, or the pearls to be cast before swine.

   וְעוֹדve/ODand againנָכוֹןna/KHONit is meetכִּיkithatלְעַבְדִּיle/av/DImy servantיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephסְמִיתSe/MITSmithהַבֵּןHab/BENJunיִבָּנֶהyib/ba/NEshall be builtבַּיִתBA/yita houseלָשֶׁבֶתla/SHE/vetto liveבּוֹboin itוּלְתַרְגֵּם׃u/le/tar/GEMand translate

   And again, it is meet that my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., should have a house built, in which to live and translate.

   וְעוֹדve/ODand againנָכוֹןna/KHONit is meetכִּיkithatעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantסִידְנִיSi/de/NISidneyרִיגְדּוֹןRig/DONRigdonיֵשֵׁבye/SHEVshould liveכַּטּוֹבkat/TOVas is goodבְּעֵינָיוbe/e/NAYVin his eyesכְּפִיke/FIinasmuchאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasיִשְׁמֹרyish/MORhe keepsמִצְוֹתָי׃mits/vo/TAYmy commandments

   And again, it is meet that my servant Sidney Rigdon should live as seemeth him good, inasmuch as he keepeth my commandments.

   וְעוֹדve/ODand againקָרָאתִיka/RA/tiI calledלְעַבְדִּיle/av/DImy servantאֶדְוָרְדEd/VARDEdwardפַּרְטְרִיג׳Par/te/RIGPartridgeוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iנֹתֵןno/TENgiveמִצְוָהmits/VAa commandmentכִּיkithatיְמֻנֶּהye/mun/NEhe should be appointedבְקוֹלve/KOLby the voiceהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAof the churchוְיִסָּמֵךְve/yis/sa/MEKHand ordainedלְפָקִידle/fa/KIDa bishopלַכְּנֵסִיָּהlak/ke/ne/siy/YAunto the churchלַעֲזֹבla/a/ZOVto leaveסַחְרוֹsach/ROhis merchandiseוּלְהַקְדִּישׁu/le/hak/DISHand to spendכׇּלkolallעִתּוֹit/TOhis timeלַעֲבוֹדַתla/a/vo/DATin the laborsהַכְּנֵסִיָּה׃hak/ke/ne/siy/YAof the church

   And again, I have called my servant Edward Partridge; and I give a commandment, that he should be appointed by the voice of the church, and ordained a bishop unto the church, to leave his merchandise and to spend all his time in the labors of the church;

    לִפְקֹדlif/KODto seeעַלaltoכׇּלkolallדָּבָרda/VARthingsכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasיְמֻנֶּהye/mun/NEit shall be appointedלוֹlounto himבְּחֻקּוֹתַיbe/chuk/ko/TAYin my lawsבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאֶתְּנֵם׃et/te/NEMI shall give them

    To see to all things as it shall be appointed unto him in my laws in the day that I shall give them.

    וְזֹאתve/ZOTand thisבִּגְלַלbig/LALbecauseכִּיkithatלִבּוֹlib/BOhis heartטָהוֹרta/HORis pureלְפָנַיle/fa/NAYbefore meכִּיkiforדוֹמֶהdo/MEis likeהוּאhuheלִנְתַנְאֵלLin/tan/ELunto Nathanaelהַקַּדְמוֹןhak/kad/MONof oldאֲשֶׁרa/SHERin whomאֵיןenthere is noבּוֹboin himרְמִיָּה׃re/miy/YAguile

    And this because his heart is pure before me, for he is like unto Nathanael of old, in whom there is no guile.

    הַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe wordsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseנְתוּנִיםne/tu/NIMare givenלָכֶםla/KHEMyouוְהֵםve/HEMand they areטְהוֹרִיםte/ho/RIMpureלְפָנָיle/fa/NAYbefore meלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeהִשָּׁמְרוּhish/sha/me/RUbewareאֵיךְekhhowתַּחֲזִיקוּta/cha/zi/KUyou holdבָּםbamthemכִּיkiforתַּעֲנוּta/a/NUyou shall answerעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMfor themבְּנַפְשׁוֹתֵיכֶםbe/naf/sho/te/KHEMupon your soulsבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the dayהַדִּיןhad/DINof judgmentכֵּןkeneven soיְהִיye/HIbe itאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

    These words are given unto you, and they are pure before me; wherefore, beware how you hold them, for they are to be answered upon your souls in the day of judgment. Even so. Amen.
