   הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלְךָle/KHAunto youדָּוִדDa/VIDDavidיָרֵאתָya/RE/tathat you fearedמֵאָדָםme/a/DAMmanוְלֹאve/LOand notבָטַחְתָּva/TACH/tareliedבִּיbion meלְכֹחַle/KHO/achfor strengthכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasהָיָהha/YAit behoovedלְךָ׃le/KHAyou

   Behold, I say unto you, David, that you have feared man and have not relied on me for strength as you ought.

   But your mind has been on the things of the earth more than on the things of me, your Maker, and the ministry whereunto you have been called; and you have not given heed unto my Spirit, and to those who were set over you, but have been persuaded by those whom I have not commanded.

   לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeנִשְׁאַרְתָּnish/ar/TAyou are leftלִדְרֹשׁlid/ROSHto inquireלְעַצְמְךָle/ats/me/KHAfor yourselfמִיָּדִיmiy/ya/DIat my handוּלְהִתְבּוֹנֵןu/le/hit/bo/NENand ponderבַּדְּבָרִיםbad/de/va/RIMupon the thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichקִבַּלְתָּ׃kib/bal/TAyou received

   Wherefore, you are left to inquire for yourself at my hand, and ponder upon the things which you have received.

   וּמְגוּרְךָu/me/gur/KHAand your homeיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beבְּבֵיתbe/VETat the houseאָבִיךָa/VI/khaof your fatherעַדaduntilאֶתֵּןet/TENI giveלְךָle/KHAyouמִצְוֹתmits/VOTcommandmentsנוֹסָפוֹתno/sa/FOTfurtherוְתַעֲבֹדve/ta/a/VODand you shall attendשָׁרֵתsha/RETto the ministryבַּכְּנֵסִיָּהbak/ke/ne/siy/YAin the churchוְלִפְנֵיve/lif/NEand beforeהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldוּמִסָּבִיבu/mis/sa/VIVand in the regions round aboutאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

   And your home shall be at your father's house, until I give unto you further commandments. And you shall attend to the ministry in the church, and before the world, and in the regions round about. Amen.

   Behold, I say unto you, Peter, that you shall take your journey with your brother Oliver; for the time has come that it is expedient in me that you shall open your mouth to declare my gospel; therefore, fear not, but give heed unto the words and advice of your brother, which he shall give you.

   וֶהְיֵהveh/YEand beצַרtsaryou afflictedבְּכׇלbe/KHOLin allצָרוֹתָיוtsa/ro/TAYVhis afflictionsהָרֵםha/REMlifting upלִבְּךָlib/be/KHAyour heartתָמִידta/MIDeverאֵלַיe/LAYunto meבִּתְפִלָּהbit/fil/LAin prayerוּבֶאֱמוּנָהu/ve/e/mu/NAand faithלְהַצָּלָתוֹle/hats/tsa/la/TOfor hisוּלְהַצָּלָתְךָu/le/hats/tsa/la/te/KHAand your deliveranceכִּיkiforנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI gaveלוֹlohimכֹּחַKO/achpowerלִבְנוֹתliv/NOTto build upכְּנֵסִיָּתִיke/ne/siy/ya/TImy churchבֵּיןbenamongהַלָּמָנִים׃hal/La/ma/NIMthe Lamanites

   And be you afflicted in all his afflictions, ever lifting up your heart unto me in prayer and faith, for his and your deliverance; for I have given unto him power to build up my church among the Lamanites;

   וְלֹאve/LOand notמִנִּיתִיmin/ni/TIhave I appointedאִישׁishany manלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beיוֹעֲצוֹyo/a/TSOhis counselorעָלָיוa/LAYVover himבַּכְּנֵסִיָּהbak/ke/ne/siy/YAin the churchבְּדִבְרֵיbe/div/REconcerning mattersהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAof the churchזוּלָתִיzu/la/TIexceptאָחִיוa/CHIVhis brotherיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephסְמִיתSe/MITSmithהַבֵּן׃Hab/BENJun

   And none have I appointed to be his counselor over him in the church, concerning church matters, except it is his brother, Joseph Smith, Jun.

   לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeהַקְשֵׁבhak/SHEVgive heedלַדְּבָרִיםlad/de/va/RIMunto the thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseוֶהְיֵהveh/YEand beשָׁקוּדsha/KUDdiligentלִשְׁמֹרlish/MORin keepingמִצְוֹתַיmits/vo/TAYmy commandmentsוּתְבֹרַךְu/te/vo/RAKHand you shall be blessedלְחַיֵּיle/chay/YEunto lifeעוֹלָםo/LAMeternalאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

   Wherefore, give heed unto these things and be diligent in keeping my commandments, and you shall be blessed unto eternal life. Amen.

   הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלְךָle/KHAunto youעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantג׳וֹןGonJohnתָּחֵלta/CHELthat you shall commenceמֵעַתָּהme/at/TAfrom this time forthלְהַשְׁמִיעַle/hash/MI/ato proclaimבְּשׂוֹרָתִיbe/so/ra/TImy gospelכְּקוֹלke/KOLas with the voiceשׁוֹפָר׃sho/FARof a trump

   Behold, I say unto you, my servant John, that thou shalt commence from this time forth to proclaim my gospel, as with the voice of a trump.

    וַעֲבֹדָתְךָva/a/vo/da/te/KHAand your laborתִּהְיֶהtih/YEshall beאֵצֶלE/tselatאָחִיךָa/CHI/khayour brotherפִילִיפFi/LIFPhilipבּוּרוֹזBu/ROZBurroughsוְסָבִיבve/sa/VIVand round aboutלוֹloitאָכֵןa/KHENyeaבְּכׇלbe/KHOLin everyמָקוֹםma/KOMplaceאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereתִּשָּׁמַעtish/sha/MAyou can be heardעַדaduntilאֲצַוְּךָa/tsav/ve/KHAI command youלָצֵאתla/TSETto goמִשָּׁם׃mish/SHAMfrom hence

    And your labor shall be at your brother Philip Burroughs', and in that region round about, yea, wherever you can be heard, until I command you to go from hence.

    וְכׇלve/KHOLand your wholeעֲבוֹדָתְךָa/vo/da/te/KHAlaborתִּהְיֶהtih/YEshall beבְּצִיּוֹןbe/Tsiy/YONin Zionבְּכׇלbe/KHOLwith allנַפְשְׁךָnaf/she/KHAyour soulמֵעַתָּהme/at/TAfrom henceforthאָכֵןa/KHENyeaתִּפְתַּחtif/TACHyou shall openפִּיךָPI/khayour mouthתָמִידta/MIDeverבִּדְבָרִיbid/va/RIin my causeלֹאlonotתִירָאti/RAfearingמַהmawhatיַּעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEcan doאָדָםa/DAMmanכִּיkiforאִתְּךָit/te/KHAwith youאָנֹכִיa/no/KHII amאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

    And your whole labor shall be in Zion, with all your soul, from henceforth; yea, you shall ever open your mouth in my cause, not fearing what man can do, for I am with you. Amen.
