   Thou who hast commanded thy servants to build a house to thy name in this place [Kirtland].

   וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowרוֹאֶהro/Ebeholdאַתָּהat/TAyouיְהוָהAdonaiO Lordכִּיkithatעֲבָדֶיךָa/va/DE/khayour servantsעָשׂוּa/SUdidכְּמִצְוָתֶךָ׃ke/mits/va/te/KHAaccording to your commandment

   And now thou beholdest, O Lord, that thy servants have done according to thy commandment.

   For thou knowest that we have done this work through great tribulation; and out of our poverty we have given of our substance to build a house to thy name, that the Son of Man might have a place to manifest himself to his people.

   And as thou hast said in a revelation, given to us, calling us thy friends, saying—Call your solemn assembly, as I have commanded you;

   And as all have not faith, seek ye diligently and teach one another words of wisdom; yea, seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom, seek learning even by study and also by faith;

   Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing, and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God;

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאָבִינוּA/VI/nuFatherהַקָּדוֹשׁHak/ka/DOSHHolyמְבַקְּשִׁיםme/vak/ke/SHIMwe askאָנוּa/NUweמִמְּךָmim/me/KHAyouלַעֲזֹרla/a/ZORto assistלָנוּLA/nuusעַמְּךָam/me/KHAyour peopleבְּחַסְדְּךָbe/chas/de/KHAwith your graceבְּקׇרְאֵנוּbe/kor/e/NUin callingאֶת־עֲצָרָתֵנוּet-a/tsa/ra/te/NUour solemn assemblyלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתֵּעָשֶׂהte/a/SEit may be doneלִכְבוֹדְךָlikh/vod/KHAto your honorוְלִרְצוֹנְךָve/lir/tson/KHAand to your acceptanceהָאֱלֹהִי׃ha/e/lo/HIdivine

    And now, Holy Father, we ask thee to assist us, thy people, with thy grace, in calling our solemn assembly, that it may be done to thine honor and to thy divine acceptance;

    וּבְאֹפֶןu/ve/O/fenand in a mannerאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנִמָּצֵאnim/ma/TSEwe may be foundרְאוּיִםre/u/YIMworthyבְּעֵינֶיךָbe/e/NE/khain your sightלְקַיֵּםle/kay/YEMto secure a fulfilmentאֶת־הַהַבְטָחוֹתet-ha/hav/ta/CHOTthe promisesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהִבְטַחְתָּhiv/TACH/tayou madeלָנוּLA/nuunto usעַמְּךָam/me/KHAyour peopleבַּחֶזְיוֹנוֹתba/chez/yo/NOTin the revelationsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנִתְּנוּnit/te/NUgivenלָנוּ׃la/NUus

    And in a manner that we may be found worthy, in thy sight, to secure a fulfilment of the promises which thou hast made unto us, thy people, in the revelations given unto us;

    לְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיָנוּחַya/NU/achmay rest downכְּבוֹדְךָke/vod/KHAyour gloryעַלaluponעַמְּךָam/me/KHAyour peopleוְעַלve/ALand uponבֵּיתְךָbe/te/KHAyour houseהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאָנוּa/NUweמַקְדִּישִׁיםmak/di/SHIMdedicateעַתָּהat/TAnowלְךָle/KHAto youלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִתְקַדֵּשׁyit/kad/DESHit may be sanctifiedוְיֻקְדַּשׁve/yuk/DASHand consecratedלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beקֹדֶשׁKO/deshholyוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand thatיִהְיוּyih/YUmay beפָּנֶיךָpa/NE/khayour presenceהַקְּדוֹשִׁיםhak/ke/do/SHIMholyתָמִידta/MIDcontinuallyבַּבַּיִתbab/BA/yitin houseהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    That thy glory may rest down upon thy people, and upon this thy house, which we now dedicate to thee, that it may be sanctified and consecrated to be holy, and that thy holy presence may be continually in this house;

    וַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand thatכׇּלkolallאָדָםa/DAMpeopleהַבָּאhab/BAwho shall enterאֶלeluponמִפְתַּןmif/TANthe thresholdבֵּיתbetof houseיְהוָהAdonaithe Lord'sיֵדַעye/DAmay feelאֶת־גְּבוּרָתְךָet-ge/vu/ra/te/KHAyour powerוְיֵאָנֵסve/ye/a/NESand be constrainedלְהוֹדוֹתle/ho/DOTto acknowledgeכִּיkithatקִדַּשְׁתָּkid/dash/TAyou sanctifiedאוֹתוֹo/TOitוְכִיve/KHIand thatהוּאhuitבֵּיתֶךָbe/TE/khais your houseמְקוֹםme/KOMa placeקׇדְשֶׁךָ׃kod/she/KHAof your holiness

    And that all people who shall enter upon the threshold of the Lord's house may feel thy power, and feel constrained to acknowledge that thou hast sanctified it, and that it is thy house, a place of thy holiness.

14. 14

    וְתֵןve/TENand do you grantאָבִינוּA/VI/nuFatherהַקָּדוֹשׁHak/ka/DOSHHolyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatכׇּלkolall thoseהָעוֹבְדִיםha/ov/DIMwho shall worshipבַּבַּיִתbab/BA/yitin houseהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisיְלֻמְּדוּye/lum/me/DUmay be taughtדִּבְרֵיdiv/REwordsחׇכְמָהchokh/MAof wisdomמִתּוֹךְmit/TOKHout ofהַסְּפָרִיםhas/se/fa/RIMthe booksהַטּוֹבִיםhat/to/VIMbestוּלְמַעַןu/le/MA/anand thatיְבַקְּשׁוּye/vak/ke/SHUthey may seekדַּעַתDA/atlearningגַּםgamevenבְּלִמּוּדbe/lim/MUDby studyוְגַםve/GAMand alsoבֶּאֱמוּנָהbe/e/mu/NAby faithכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasאָמָרְתָּ׃a/mar/TAyou said

    And do thou grant, Holy Father, that all those who shall worship in this house may be taught words of wisdom out of the best books, and that they may seek learning even by study, and also by faith, as thou hast said;

15. 15

    וּלְמַעַןu/le/MA/anand thatיִגְדְּלוּyig/de/LUthey may grow upבְּךָbe/KHAin youוִיקַבְּלוּvi/kab/be/LUand receiveמְלוֹאme/LOa fulnessרוּחַ־הַקֹּדֶשׁRU/ach-Hak/KO/deshof the Holy Ghostוְיֵעָרְכוּve/ye/a/re/KHUand be organizedכְּחֻקֶּיךָke/chuk/KE/khaaccording to your lawsוְיִהְיוּve/yih/YUand beמוּכָנִיםmu/kha/NIMpreparedלְהַשִּׂיגle/has/SIGto obtainכׇּלkoleveryדָּבָרda/VARthingנָחוּץ׃na/CHUTSneedful

    And that they may grow up in thee, and receive a fulness of the Holy Ghost, and be organized according to thy laws, and be prepared to obtain every needful thing;

16. 16

    וַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand thatיִהְיֶהyih/YEmay beהַבַּיִתhab/BA/yithouseהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisבֵּיתbeta houseתְּפִלָּהte/fil/LAof prayerבֵּיתbeta houseצוֹםtsomof fastingבֵּיתbeta houseאֱמוּנָהe/mu/NAof faithבֵּיתbeta houseכָּבוֹדka/VODof gloryוּבֵיתu/VETandאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godגַּםgamevenבֵּיתֶךָ׃be/te/KHAyour house

    And that this house may be a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of glory and of God, even thy house;

17. 17

    לְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִהְיוּyih/YUmay beכׇּלkolallבָּאֵיba/Ethe incomingsעַמְּךָam/me/KHAof your peopleאֶלelintoהַבַּיִתhab/BA/yithouseהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisבְּשֵׁםbe/SHEMin the nameיְהוָה׃Adonaiof the Lord

    That all the incomings of thy people, into this house, may be in the name of the Lord;

18. 18

    וּלְמַעַןu/le/MA/anthatיִהְיוּyih/YUmay beכׇּלkolallמוֹצָאֵיהֶםmo/tsa/e/HEMtheir outgoingsמִןminfromהַבַּיִתhab/BA/yithouseהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisבְּשֵׁםbe/SHEMin the nameיְהוָה׃Adonaiof the Lord

    That all their outgoings from this house may be in the name of the Lord;

19. 19

    וּלְמַעַןu/le/MA/anand thatיִהְיוּyih/YUmay beכׇּלkolallבִּרְכוֹתֵיהֶםbir/kho/te/HEMtheir salutationsבְּשֵׁםbe/SHEMin the nameיְהוָהAdonaiof the Lordבְּיָדַיִםbe/ya/DA/yimwith handsקְדוֹשׁוֹתke/do/SHOTholyנְשׂוּאוֹתne/su/OTupliftedאֶל־עֶלְיוֹן׃el-El/YONto the Most High

    And that all their salutations may be in the name of the Lord, with holy hands, uplifted to the Most High;

20. 20

    וַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand thatלֹאlonoיֻרְשֶׁהyur/SHEshall be permittedלְכׇל־דָּבָרle/KHOL-da/VARthingטָמֵאta/MEuncleanלָבוֹאla/VOto comeאֶלelintoבֵּיתֶךָbe/TE/khayour houseלְחַלְּלוֹ׃le/chal/le/LOto pollute it

    And that no unclean thing shall be permitted to come into thy house to pollute it;

21. 21

    וְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand whenיִפְשְׁעוּyif/she/Utransgressעַמְּךָam/me/KHAyour peopleאֶחָדe/CHADanyמֵהֶםme/HEMof themיִנָּחֲמוּyin/na/cha/MUthey may repentבִּמְהֵרָהbim/he/RAspeedilyוְיָשׁוּבוּve/ya/SHU/vuand returnאֵלֶיךָe/LE/khaunto youוְיִמְצְאוּve/yim/tse/Uand findחֵןchenfavorבְּעֵינֶיךָbe/e/NE/khain your sightוְיוּשְׁבוּve/yush/VUand be restoredאֶלeltoהַבְּרָכוֹתhab/be/ra/KHOTthe blessingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichצִוִּיתָtsiv/VI/tayou ordainedלְהִשָּׁפֵךְle/hish/sha/FEKHto be poured outעַלaluponהַמְכַבְּדִיםham/khab/be/DIMthose who shall reverenceאוֹתְךָot/KHAyouבְּבֵיתֶךָ׃be/ve/te/KHAin your house

    And when thy people transgress, any of them, they may speedily repent and return unto thee, and find favor in thy sight, and be restored to the blessings which thou hast ordained to be poured out upon those who shall reverence thee in thy house.

    וּמְבַקְּשִׁיםu/me/vak/ke/SHIMand we askאָנוּa/NUweמִמְּךָmim/me/KHAyouאָבִינוּA/VI/nuFatherהַקָּדוֹשׁHak/ka/DOSHHolyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatעֲבָדֶיךָa/va/DE/khayour servantsיֵצְאוּyets/Umay go forthמִןminfromהַבַּיִתhab/BA/yithouseהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisמְזֻיָּנִיםme/zuy/ya/NIMarmedבִּגְבוּרָתֶךָbig/vu/ra/te/KHAwith your powerוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand thatיִהְיֶהyih/YEmay beשִׁמְךָshim/KHAyour nameעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themוּכְבוֹדְךָu/khe/vod/KHAand your gloryסְבִיבוֹתָםse/vi/vo/TAMbe round about themוּמַלְאָכֶיךָu/mal/a/KHE/khaand your angelsשׁוֹמְרִיםshom/RIMhave chargeעֲלֵיהֶם׃a/le/HEMover them

    And we ask thee, Holy Father, that thy servants may go forth from this house armed with thy power, and that thy name may be upon them, and thy glory be round about them, and thine angels have charge over them;

    וּמִןu/MINand fromהַמָּקוֹםham/ma/KOMplaceהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisיִשְׂאוּyis/Uthey may bearבְּשׂוֹרוֹתbe/so/ROTtidingsגְּדוֹלוֹתge/do/LOTgreatוְנִכְבָּדוֹתve/nikh/ba/DOTand gloriousמְאֹדme/ODexceedinglyבֶּאֱמֶתbe/e/METin truthעַדaduntoקְצוֹתke/TSOTthe endsהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיֵדְעוּyed/Uthey may knowכִּיkithatזֶהzethis isמַעֲשֶׂךָma/a/SE/khayour workוְכִיve/KHIand thatשָׁלַחְתָּsha/LACH/tayou put forthיָדְךָya/de/KHAyour handלְקַיֵּםle/kay/YEMto fulfilאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERthat whichדִּבַּרְתָּdib/BAR/tayou spokeבְּפִיbe/FIby the mouthsהַנְּבִיאִיםhan/ne/vi/IMof the prophetsעַלalconcerningאַחֲרִיתa/cha/RITthe lastהַיָּמִים׃hay/ya/MIMdays

    And from this place they may bear exceedingly great and glorious tidings, in truth, unto the ends of the earth, that they may know that this is thy work, and that thou hast put forth thy hand, to fulfil that which thou hast spoken by the mouths of the prophets, concerning the last days.

    מְבַקְּשִׁיםme/vak/ke/SHIMwe askאָנוּa/NUweמִמְּךָmim/me/KHAyouאָבִינוּA/VI/nuFatherהַקָּדוֹשׁHak/ka/DOSHHolyלְכוֹנֵןle/kho/NENto establishאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיַעַבְדוּya/av/DUshall worshipוְיִנְצְרוּve/yin/tse/RUand holdבְּכָבוֹדbe/kha/VODhonorablyשֵׁםshema nameוּמַעֲמָדu/ma/a/MADand standingבְּבֵיתְךָbe/ve/te/KHAin your houseהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisלְכׇלle/KHOLto allהַדּוֹרוֹתhad/do/ROTgenerationsוּלְעוֹלָם׃u/le/o/LAMand forever

    We ask thee, Holy Father, to establish the people that shall worship, and honorably hold a name and standing in this thy house, to all generations and for eternity;

25. 25

    כׇּל־כְּלִיkol-ke/LIthat no weaponיוּצַרyu/TSARformedעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMagainst themלֹאloshall notיִצְלָחyits/LACHprosperוְהַחוֹפֵרve/ha/cho/FERthat he who digsשַׁחַתSHA/chata pitלָהֶםla/HEMfor themהוּאhuhimselfיִפֹּלyip/POLshall fallבָּהּ׃bainto the same

    That no weapon formed against them shall prosper; that he who diggeth a pit for them shall fall into the same himself;

    אֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatכׇּל־קֶשֶׁרkol-KE/sherno combinationרֶשַׁעRE/shaof wickednessלֹאlonotיִגְבַּרyig/BARshall have powerלָקוּםla/KUMto rise upוְלִנְצֹחַve/lin/TSO/achand prevailעַלaloverעַמְּךָam/me/KHAyour peopleאֲשֶׁרa/SHERupon whomיִקָּרֵאyik/ka/REshall be putשִׁמְךָshim/KHAyour nameעָלָיוa/LAYVupon himבַּבַּיִתbab/BA/yitin houseהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    That no combination of wickedness shall have power to rise up and prevail over thy people upon whom thy name shall be put in this house;

    וְאִםve/IMand ifיָקוּםya/KUMshall riseעַםamany peopleעַלalagainstהָעָםha/AMpeopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisיְהִיye/HIbeאַפְּךָap/pe/KHAthat your angerבֹּעֵרbo/ERkindledבָּהֶם׃ba/HEMagainst them

    And if any people shall rise against this people, that thine anger be kindled against them;

28. 28

    וְאִםve/IMand ifיַכּוּyak/KUthey shall smiteאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMpeopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisתַּכֵּםtak/KEMyou will smite themאַתָּהat/TAyouתִּלָּחֵםtil/la/CHEMwill fightבְּעַדbe/ADforעַמְּךָam/me/KHAyour peopleכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasעָשִׂיתָa/SI/tayou didבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the dayקְרָבke/RAVof battleלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִנָּצְלוּyin/na/tse/LUthey may be deliveredמִיְּדֵיmiy/ye/DEfrom the handsכׇּלkolof allאוֹיְבֵיהֶם׃oy/ve/HEMtheir enemies

    And if they shall smite this people thou wilt smite them; thou wilt fight for thy people as thou didst in the day of battle, that they may be delivered from the hands of all their enemies.

29. 29

    מְבַקְּשִׁיםme/vak/ke/SHIMwe askאָנוּa/NUweמִמְּךָmim/me/KHAyouאָבִינוּA/VI/nuFatherהַקָּדוֹשׁHak/ka/DOSHHolyלְבַלֵּעַle/val/LE/ato confoundוּלְהָשֵׁםu/le/ha/SHEMand astonishוּלְהָבִיאu/le/ha/VIand to bringבֹשֶׁתVO/shetto shameוּמְבוּכָהu/me/vu/KHAand confusionעַלaloverכׇּלkolall thoseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהֵפִיצוּhe/fi/TSUspreadשְׁמוּעוֹתshe/mu/OTreportsשֶׁקֶרSHE/kerlyingחוּצָהCHU/tsaabroadבָּעוֹלָםba/o/LAMover the worldעַלalagainstעַבְדְּךָav/de/KHAyour servantאוֹoorעֲבָדֶיךָa/va/DE/khaservantsאִםimifלֹאlonotיָשׁוּבוּya/SHU/vuthey will repentבְּהִשָּׁמַעbe/hish/sha/MAwhen shall be proclaimedבְּשׂוֹרַתbe/so/RATgospelעוֹלָםo/LAMthe everlastingבְּאׇזְנֵיהֶם׃be/oz/ne/HEMin their ears

    We ask thee, Holy Father, to confound, and astonish, and to bring to shame and confusion, all those who have spread lying reports abroad, over the world, against thy servant or servants, if they will not repent, when the everlasting gospel shall be proclaimed in their ears;

30. 30

    וַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand thatכׇּלkolallמַעֲשֵׂיהֶםma/a/se/HEMtheir worksיוּבְאוּyuv/Umay be broughtלְאַיִןle/A/yinto naughtוְיִסָּחֲפוּve/yis/sa/cha/FUand be swept awayבַּבָּרָדbab/ba/RADby the hailוּבַמִּשְׁפָּטִיםu/vam/mish/pa/TIMand by the judgmentsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתִּשְׁלַחtish/LACHyou will sendעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themבְּאַפֶּךָbe/ap/PE/khain your angerלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִהְיֶהyih/YEthere may beקֵץketsan endלַכְּזָבִיםlak/ke/za/VIMto lyingsוְלַדִּבּוֹתve/lad/dib/BOTand slandersעַלalagainstעַמֶּךָ׃am/me/KHAyour people

    And that all their works may be brought to naught, and be swept away by the hail, and by the judgments which thou wilt send upon them in thine anger, that there may be an end to lyings and slanders against thy people.

31. 31

    כִּיkiforיָדַעְתָּya/DA/tayou knowיְהוָהAdonaiO Lordכִּיkithatנְקִיִּםne/kiy/YIMinnocentהָיוּha/YUhave beenעֲבָדֶיךָa/va/DE/khayour servantsלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore youבְּהָעִידָםbe/ha/i/DAMin bearing recordעַלalofשִׁמְךָshim/KHAyour nameאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבִּגְלָלוֹbig/la/LOforסָבְלוּsa/ve/LUthey sufferedאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthingsהָאֵלֶּה׃ha/el/LEthese

    For thou knowest, O Lord, that thy servants have been innocent before thee in bearing record of thy name, for which they have suffered these things.

32. 32

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeמִתְחַנְּנִיםmit/chan/ne/NIMpleadאָנוּa/NUweלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore youעַלalforגְּאֻלָּהge/ul/LAdeliveranceשְׁלֵמָהshe/le/MAa fullוּכְלִילָהu/khe/li/LAand completeמִתַּחַתmit/TA/chatfrom underהָעֹלha/OLyokeהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    Therefore we plead before thee for a full and complete deliverance from under this yoke;

33. 33

    שְׁבֹרshe/VORbreakאוֹתוֹo/TOit offיְהוָהAdonaiO Lordשְׁבֹרshe/VORbreakאוֹתוֹo/TOit offמֵעַלme/ALfromצַוְּארֵיtsav/ve/REthe necksעֲבָדֶיךָa/va/DE/khaof your servantsבִּגְבוּרָתֶךָbig/vu/ra/te/KHAby your powerלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatנָקוּםna/KUMwe may rise upבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofהַדּוֹרhad/DORgenerationהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְנַעֲשֶׂהve/na/a/SEand doאֶת־מְלַאכְתֶּךָ׃et-me/lakh/te/KHAyour work

    Break it off, O Lord; break it off from the necks of thy servants, by thy power, that we may rise up in the midst of this generation and do thy work.

34. 34

    יְהוָהAdonaiO Jehovahרַחֵםra/CHEMhave mercyעַלaluponהָעָםha/AMpeopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְכִיve/KHIand asכׇּלkolallאָדָםa/DAMmenחוֹטֵאcho/TEsinסְלַחse/LACHforgiveלְפִשְׁעֵיle/fish/Ethe transgressionsעַמֶּךָam/ME/khaof your peopleוְיִמָּחוּve/yim/ma/CHUand let them be blotted outלָעַד׃la/ADforever

    O Jehovah, have mercy upon this people, and as all men sin, forgive the transgressions of thy people, and let them be blotted out forever.

35. 35

    תֵּחָתֵםte/cha/TEMlet be sealedמִשְׁחַתmish/CHATthe anointingמְשָׁרְתֶיךָme/sha/re/te/KHAof your ministersעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themבְּכֹחַbe/KHO/achwith powerמִמָּרוֹם׃mim/ma/ROMfrom on high

    Let the anointing of thy ministers be sealed upon them with power from on high.

36. 36

    יִתְקַיֵּםyit/kay/YEMlet it be fulfilledעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themכְּמוֹke/MOasעַלaluponאֵלֶּהEL/lethoseבְּיוֹםbe/YOMon the dayחַגchagof the feastהַשָּׁבֻעוֹתhash/Sha/vu/OTof Pentecostתִּשָּׁפֵךְtish/sha/FEKHlet be poured outמַתַּתmat/TATthe giftהַלְּשֹׁנוֹתhal/le/sho/NOTof tonguesעַלaluponעַמֶּךָam/ME/khayour peopleגַּםgamevenלְשֹׁנוֹתle/sho/NOTtonguesמִתְפָּרְדוֹתmit/pa/re/DOTclovenכְּמַרְאֵהke/mar/Easאֵשׁeshof fireוּפֵרוּשָׁן׃u/fe/ru/SHANand the interpretation thereof

    Let it be fulfilled upon them, as upon those on the day of Pentecost; let the gift of tongues be poured out upon thy people, even cloven tongues as of fire, and the interpretation thereof.

37. 37

    וְיִמָּלֵאve/yim/ma/LEand let be filledבֵיתְךָve/te/KHAyour houseכְּרוּחַke/RU/achas with a windסְעָרָהse/a/RArushing mightyבִּכְבוֹדֶךָ׃bikh/vo/de/KHAwith your glory

    And let thy house be filled, as with a rushing mighty wind, with thy glory.

38. 38

    שִׂיםsimputעַלaluponעֲבָדֶיךָa/va/DE/khayour servantsעֵדוּתe/DUTthe testimonyהַבְּרִיתhab/be/RITof the covenantלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatבְּצֵאתָםbe/tse/TAMwhen they go outוּבְהַכְרִיזָםu/ve/hakh/ri/ZAMand proclaimאֶת־דְּבָרְךָet-de/va/re/KHAyour wordיַחְתְּמוּyach/te/MUthey may seal upאֶת־הַתּוֹרָהet-hat/to/RAthe lawוְיָכִינוּve/ya/khi/NUand prepareאֶת־לִבּוֹתet-lib/BOTthe heartsקְדוֹשֶׁיךָke/do/she/KHAof your saintsלְכׇלle/KHOLfor allהַמִּשְׁפָּטִיםham/mish/pa/TIMjudgmentsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthose whichאַתָּהat/TAyouעוֹמֵדo/MEDare aboutלִשְׁלֹחַlish/LO/achto sendבַּחֲרוֹנְךָba/cha/ron/KHAin your wrathעַלaluponיוֹשְׁבֵיyosh/VEthe inhabitantsהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthבִּגְלַלbig/LALbecause ofפִּשְׁעֵיהֶםpish/e/HEMtheir transgressionsלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatלֹאlomay notיִכְשַׁלyikh/SHALfaintעַמְּךָam/me/KHAyour peopleבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the dayצָרָה׃tsa/RAof trouble

    Put upon thy servants the testimony of the covenant, that when they go out and proclaim thy word they may seal up the law, and prepare the hearts of thy saints for all those judgments thou art about to send, in thy wrath, upon the inhabitants of the earth, because of their transgressions, that thy people may not faint in the day of trouble.

39. 39

    וְכׇלve/KHOLand whatsoeverעִירircityאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיָבֹאוּya/VO/ushall enterעֲבָדֶיךָa/va/DE/khayour servantsוְעַםve/AMand the peopleהָעִירha/IRof cityהַהִיאha/HIthatיְקַבְּלוּye/kab/be/LUreceiveעֵדוּתָםe/du/TAMtheir testimonyיְהִיye/HIlet beשְׁלוֹמְךָshe/lom/KHAyour peaceוִישׁוּעָתְךָvi/shu/a/te/KHAand your salvationעַלaluponהָעִירha/IRcityהַהִיאha/HIthatלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיְאַסְּפוּye/as/se/FUthey may gatherמִתּוֹכָהּmit/to/KHAout of that cityאֶת־הַצַּדִּיקִיםet-hats/tsad/di/KIMthe righteousלָבוֹאla/VOthat they may comeאֶלelforth toצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONZionאוֹoorאֶלeltoיְתֵדוֹתֶיהָye/te/do/te/HAher stakesמְקוֹמוֹתme/ko/MOTthe placesמִנּוּיֶיךָmin/nu/ye/KHAof your appointmentבְּשִׁירֵיbe/shi/REwith songsשִׂמְחַתsim/CHATof joyעוֹלָם׃o/LAMeverlasting

    And whatsoever city thy servants shall enter, and the people of that city receive their testimony, let thy peace and thy salvation be upon that city; that they may gather out of that city the righteous, that they may come forth to Zion, or to her stakes, the places of thine appointment, with songs of everlasting joy;

40. 40

    וְעַדve/ADand untilאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיֵעָשֶׂהye/a/SEbe accomplishedהַדָּבָרhad/da/VARthingהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאַלallet notיִפְּלוּyip/pe/LUfallמִשְׁפָּטֶיךָmish/pa/TE/khayour judgmentsעַלaluponהָעִירha/IRcityהַהִיא׃ha/HIthat

    And until this be accomplished, let not thy judgments fall upon that city.

41. 41

    וְכׇלve/KHOLand whatsoeverעִירircityאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיָבֹאוּya/VO/ushall enterעֲבָדֶיךָa/va/DE/khayour servantsוְעַםve/AMand the peopleהָעִירha/IRof cityהַהִיאha/HIthatלֹאlonotיְקַבְּלוּye/kab/be/LUreceiveעֵדוּתe/DUTthe testimonyעֲבָדֶיךָa/va/DE/khaof your servantsוַעֲבָדֶיךָva/a/va/DE/khaand your servantsיַזְהִירוּםyaz/hi/RUMwarn themלְהִנָּצֵלle/hin/na/TSELto save themselvesמִןminfromהַדּוֹרhad/DORgenerationהָעִקֵּשׁha/ik/KESHuntowardהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisיִהְיֶהyih/YElet it beעַלaluponהָעִירha/IRcityהַהִיאha/HIthatכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERaccording to that whichדִּבַּרְתָּdib/BAR/tayou spokeבְּפִיbe/FIby the mouthsנְבִיאֶיךָ׃ne/vi/e/KHAof your prophets

    And whatsoever city thy servants shall enter, and the people of that city receive not the testimony of thy servants, and thy servants warn them to save themselves from this untoward generation, let it be upon that city according to that which thou hast spoken by the mouths of thy prophets.

42. 42

    אַךְakhbutאָנָּאan/NAwe beseech youיְהוָהAdonaiO Jehovahהַצֵּלhats/TSELdeliverאַתָּהat/TAyouאֶת־עֲבָדֶיךָet-a/va/DE/khayour servantsמִיְּדֵיהֶםmiy/ye/de/HEMfrom their handsוְטַהֲרֵםve/ta/ha/REMand cleanse themמִדָּמָם׃mid/da/MAMfrom their blood

    But deliver thou, O Jehovah, we beseech thee, thy servants from their hands, and cleanse them from their blood.

43. 43

    יְהוָהAdonaiO Lordלֹאlonotנִשְׂמַחnis/MACHwe delightבְּהַשְׁמָדַתbe/hash/ma/DATin the destructionבְּנֵיbe/NEof sonsאָדָםa/DAMof menחֲבֵרֵינוּcha/ve/re/NUour fellowנַפְשׁוֹתָםnaf/sho/TAMtheir soulsיְקָרוֹתye/ka/ROTare preciousלְפָנֶיךָ׃le/fa/ne/KHAbefore you

    O Lord, we delight not in the destruction of our fellow men; their souls are precious before thee;

44. 44

    אַךְakhbutדְּבָרְךָde/va/re/KHAyour wordקוֹםkommustיָקוּםya/KUMbe fulfilledעֲזֹרa/ZORhelpלַעֲבָדֶיךָla/a/va/DE/khayour servantsלוֹמַרlo/MARto sayבְּחַסְדְּךָbe/chas/de/KHAwith your graceהָעוֹזֵרha/o/ZERassistingלָהֶםla/HEMthemיֵעָשֶׂהye/a/SEbe doneרְצוֹנְךָre/tson/KHAyour willיְהוָהAdonaiO Lordוְלֹאve/LOand notרְצוֹנֵנוּ׃re/tso/ne/NUours

    But thy word must be fulfilled. Help thy servants to say, with thy grace assisting them: Thy will be done, O Lord, and not ours.

45. 45

    יָדַעְנוּya/DA/nuwe knowכִּיkithatדִּבַּרְתָּdib/BAR/tayou spokeבְּפִיbe/FIby the mouthנְבִיאֶיךָne/vi/E/khaof your prophetsדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMthingsנוֹרָאִיםno/ra/IMterribleעַלalconcerningהָרְשָׁעִיםha/re/sha/IMthe wickedבְּאַחֲרִיתbe/a/cha/RITin the lastהַיָּמִיםhay/ya/MIMdaysכִּיkithatתִשְׁפֹּךְtish/POKHyou will pour outמִשְׁפָּטֶיךָmish/pa/TE/khayour judgmentsבְּלִיbe/LIwithoutמִדָּה׃mid/DAmeasure

    We know that thou hast spoken by the mouth of thy prophets terrible things concerning the wicked, in the last days—that thou wilt pour out thy judgments, without measure;

46. 46

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeיְהוָהAdonaiO Lordהַצֵּלhats/TSELdeliverאֶת־עַמְּךָet-am/me/KHAyour peopleמֵאֵידme/EDfrom the calamityהָרְשָׁעִיםha/re/sha/IMof the wickedהַכְשֵׁרhakh/SHERenableאֶת־עֲבָדֶיךָet-a/va/DE/khayour servantsלַחְתֹּםlach/TOMto seal upאֶת־הַתּוֹרָהet-hat/to/RAthe lawוְלִצְרֹרve/lits/RORand bind upאֶת־הָעֵדוּתet-ha/e/DUTthe testimonyלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִהְיוּyih/YUthey may beמוּכָנִיםmu/kha/NIMpreparedלְיוֹםle/YOMagainst the dayהַשְּׂרֵפָה׃has/se/re/FAof burning

    Therefore, O Lord, deliver thy people from the calamity of the wicked; enable thy servants to seal up the law, and bind up the testimony, that they may be prepared against the day of burning.

    מְבַקְּשִׁיםme/vak/ke/SHIMwe askאָנוּa/NUweמִמְּךָmim/me/KHAyouאָבִינוּA/VI/nuFatherהַקָּדוֹשׁHak/ka/DOSHHolyלִזְכֹּרliz/KORto rememberאֶת־אֵלֶּהet-EL/lethoseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoגֹּרְשׁוּgor/SHUhave been drivenבִּידֵיbi/DEbyיוֹשְׁבֵיyosh/VEthe inhabitantsמְחוֹזme/CHOZof countyגָ׳קְסוֹןGa/ke/SONJacksonמִיזוּרִיMi/zu/RIMissouriמֵאַרְצוֹתme/ar/TSOTfrom the landsנַחֲלָתָםna/cha/la/TAMof their inheritanceוּשְׁבֹרu/she/VORand break offיְהוָהAdonaiO Lordאֶת־עֹלet-olyokeהָעֹנִיha/O/niof afflictionהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatהוּשַׂםhu/SAMhas been putעֲלֵיהֶם׃a/le/HEMupon them

    We ask thee, Holy Father, to remember those who have been driven by the inhabitants of Jackson county, Missouri, from the lands of their inheritance, and break off, O Lord, this yoke of affliction that has been put upon them.

48. 48

    יָדַעְתָּya/DA/tayou knowיְהוָהAdonaiO Lordכִּיkithatעֻנּוּun/NUthey have been oppressedמְאֹדme/ODgreatlyוְסָבְלוּve/sa/ve/LUand afflictedמִידֵיMI/debyאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenרְשָׁעִיםre/sha/IMwickedוְלִבּוֹתֵינוּve/lib/bo/te/NUand our heartsנִשְׁפָּכִיםnish/pa/KHIMflow outבְּצַעַרbe/TSA/arwith sorrowעַלalbecauseמַשְׂאוֹתָםmas/o/TAMof their burdensהַכְּבֵדִים׃hak/ke/ve/DIMgrievous

    Thou knowest, O Lord, that they have been greatly oppressed and afflicted by wicked men; and our hearts flow out with sorrow because of their grievous burdens.

49. 49

    יְהוָהAdonaiO Lordעַדadhowמָתַיma/TAYlongתַּנִּיחַtan/NI/achwill you sufferלָעָםla/AMpeopleהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisלָשֵׂאתla/SETto bearאֶת־הָעֹנִיet-ha/o/NIafflictionהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְצַעֲקַתve/tsa/a/KATand the criesנְקִיֵּיהֶםne/kiy/ye/HEMof their innocent onesלַעֲלוֹתla/a/LOTto ascend upבְּאׇזְנֶיךָbe/oz/NE/khain your earsוְדָמָםve/da/MAMand their bloodלָבוֹאla/VOcome upלְעֵדוּתle/e/DUTin testimonyלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore youוְאַתָּהve/at/TAand youלֹאlonotמַרְאֶהmar/Emake a displayעֵדוּתְךָe/dut/KHAof your testimonyבַּעֲדָם׃ba/a/DAMin their behalf

    O Lord, how long wilt thou suffer this people to bear this affliction, and the cries of their innocent ones to ascend up in thine ears, and their blood come up in testimony before thee, and not make a display of thy testimony in their behalf?

50. 50

    רַחֵםra/CHEMhave mercyיְהוָהAdonaiO Lordעַלaluponהַהָמוֹןha/ha/MONthe mobהָרָשָׁעha/ra/SHAwickedאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoגֵּרְשׁוּger/SHUdroveאֶת־עַמֶּךָet-am/ME/khayour peopleלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיֶחְדְּלוּyech/de/LUthey may ceaseלִשְׁדֹּדlish/DODto spoilלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיָשׁוּבוּya/SHU/vuthey may repentמֵחַטֹּאתֵיהֶםme/chat/to/te/HEMof their sinsאִםimifתְּשׁוּבָהte/shu/VArepentanceנִמְצֵאת׃nim/TSETis to be found

    Have mercy, O Lord, upon the wicked mob, who have driven thy people, that they may cease to spoil, that they may repent of their sins if repentance is to be found;

51. 51

    וְאִםve/IMbut ifלֹאlonotיֹאבוּyo/VUthey willחֲשֹׂףcha/SOFmake bareזְרוֹעֲךָze/ro/a/KHAyour armיְהוָהAdonaiO Lordוּגְאַלu/ge/ALand redeemאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERthat whichמִנִּיתָmin/ni/TAyou appointedלְצִיּוֹןle/Tsiy/YONa Zionלְעַמֶּךָ׃le/am/me/KHAunto your people

    But if they will not, make bare thine arm, O Lord, and redeem that which thou didst appoint a Zion unto thy people.

    וְאִםve/IMand ifלֹאlonotיוּכַלyu/KHALit canאַחֶרֶתa/CHE/retbe otherwiseלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatלֹאlonotתִכָּשֵׁלtik/ka/SHELmay failדְּבַרde/VARthe causeעַמְּךָam/me/KHAof your peopleלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore youיְהִיye/HImay beאַפְּךָap/pe/KHAyour angerבֹּעֵרbo/ERkindledוְיִפֹּלve/yip/POLand fallזַעְמְךָza/me/KHAyour indignationעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִכָּרְתוּyik/ka/re/TUthey may be wasted awayגַּםgambothשֹׁרֶשׁSHO/reshrootוְגַםve/GAMandעָנָףa/NAFbranchמִתַּחַתmit/TA/chatfrom underהַשָּׁמַיִם׃hash/sha/ma/YIMheaven

    And if it cannot be otherwise, that the cause of thy people may not fail before thee may thine anger be kindled, and thine indignation fall upon them, that they may be wasted away, both root and branch, from under heaven;

    But inasmuch as they will repent, thou art gracious and merciful, and wilt turn away thy wrath when thou lookest upon the face of thine Anointed.

    Have mercy, O Lord, upon all the nations of the earth; have mercy upon the rulers of our land; may those principles, which were so honorably and nobly defended, namely, the Constitution of our land, by our fathers, be established forever.

    Remember the kings, the princes, the nobles, and the great ones of the earth, and all people, and the churches, all the poor, the needy, and afflicted ones of the earth;

    That their hearts may be softened when thy servants shall go out from thy house, O Jehovah, to bear testimony of thy name; that their prejudices may give way before the truth, and thy people may obtain favor in the sight of all;

    That all the ends of the earth may know that we, thy servants, have heard thy voice, and that thou hast sent us;

    לְמַעַןle/MA/anthatמִתּוֹךְmit/TOKHfrom amongכׇּלkolallאֵלֶּהEL/letheseיְאַסְּפוּye/as/se/FUmay gather outעֲבָדֶיךָa/va/DE/khayour servantsבְּנֵיbe/NEthe sonsיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVof Jacobאֶת־הַצַּדִּיקִיםet-hats/tsad/di/KIMthe righteousלִבְנוֹתliv/NOTto buildעִירira cityקֹדֶשׁKO/deshholyלְשִׁמְךָle/shim/KHAto your nameכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוִּיתָם׃tsiv/vi/TAMyou commanded them

    That from among all these, thy servants, the sons of Jacob, may gather out the righteous to build a holy city to thy name, as thou hast commanded them.

    We ask thee to appoint unto Zion other stakes besides this one which thou hast appointed, that the gathering of thy people may roll on in great power and majesty, that thy work may be cut short in righteousness.

    עַתָּהat/TAnowאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMwordsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseיְהוָהAdonaiO Lordדִּבַּרְנוּdib/BAR/nuwe spokeלְפָנֶיךָle/fa/NE/khabefore youעַלalconcerningהַחֶזְיוֹנוֹתha/chez/yo/NOTthe revelationsוְהַמִּצְוֹתve/ham/mits/VOTand commandmentsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנָתַתָּna/TAT/tayou gaveלָנוּLA/nuusהַנִּמְנִיםhan/nim/NIMwho are identifiedעִםimwithהַגּוֹיִם׃hag/Go/YIMthe Gentiles

    Now these words, O Lord, we have spoken before thee, concerning the revelations and commandments which thou hast given unto us, who are identified with the Gentiles.

61. 61

    אַךְakhbutיָדַעְתָּya/DA/tayou knowכִּיkithatיֶשׁ־לְךָyesh-le/KHAyou haveאַהֲבָהa/ha/VAloveגְדוֹלָהge/do/LAa greatלִבְנֵיliv/NEfor the childrenיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVof Jacobאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoנָפוֹצוּna/fo/TSUhave been scatteredעַלaluponהֶהָרִיםhe/ha/RIMthe mountainsיָמִיםya/MIMdaysרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin a dayעָנָןa/NANcloudyוַעֲרָפֶל׃va/a/ra/FELand dark

    But thou knowest that thou hast a great love for the children of Jacob, who have been scattered upon the mountains for a long time, in a cloudy and dark day.

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeמְבַקְּשִׁיםme/vak/ke/SHIMwe askאָנוּa/NUweמִמְּךָmim/me/KHAyouלְרַחֵםle/ra/CHEMto have mercyעַלaluponבְּנֵיbe/NEthe childrenיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVof Jacobלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתָּחֵלta/CHELmay beginיְרוּשָׁלַיִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemמִןminfromהַשָּׁעָהhash/sha/Ahourהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisלְהִגָּאֵל׃le/hig/ga/ELto be redeemed

    We therefore ask thee to have mercy upon the children of Jacob, that Jerusalem, from this hour, may begin to be redeemed;

    וְעֹלve/OLand the yokeהָעַבְדוּתha/av/DUTof bondageיָחֵלya/CHELmay beginלְהִשָּׁבֵרle/hish/sha/VERto be broken offמֵעַלme/ALfromבֵּיתbetthe houseדָּוִד׃Da/VIDof David

    And the yoke of bondage may begin to be broken off from the house of David;

    וּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the childrenיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAof Judahיָחֵלּוּya/chel/LUmay beginלָשׁוּבla/SHUVto returnאֶלeltoהָאֲרָצוֹתha/a/ra/TSOTthe landsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנָתַתָּna/TAT/tayou gaveלְאַבְרָהָםle/Av/ra/HAMto Abrahamאֲבִיהֶם׃a/vi/HEMtheir father

    And the children of Judah may begin to return to the lands which thou didst give to Abraham, their father.

65. 65

    וַעֲשֵׂהva/a/SEand causeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatשְׁאֵרִיתshe/e/RITthe remnantsיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVof Jacobאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoקֻלְּלוּkul/le/LUhave been cursedוְהֻכּוּve/huk/KUand smittenבִּגְלַלbig/LALbecause ofפִּשְׁעָםpish/AMtheir transgressionיָשׁוּבוּya/SHU/vube convertedמִדַּרְכָּםmid/dar/KAMfrom their conditionהַפֶּרֶאhap/PE/rewildוְהַפָּרוּעַve/hap/pa/RU/aand savageאֶלeltoמְלוֹאme/LOthe fulnessבְּשׂוֹרַתbe/so/RATof the gospelעוֹלָם׃o/LAMeverlasting

    And cause that the remnants of Jacob, who have been cursed and smitten because of their transgression, be converted from their wild and savage condition to the fulness of the everlasting gospel;

66. 66

    לְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיַנִּיחוּyan/NI/chuthey may lay downכְּלֵיke/LEweaponsדָּמִיםda/MIMof bloodshedוְיֶחְדְּלוּve/yech/de/LUand ceaseמִמִּרְדֵיהֶם׃mim/mir/de/HEMtheir rebellions

    That they may lay down their weapons of bloodshed, and cease their rebellions.

67. 67

    וְיָבֹאוּve/ya/VO/uand may comeכׇּלkolallשְׁאֵרִיתshe/e/RITthe remnantsיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELof Israelהַנְּפוּצָהhan/ne/fu/TSAscatteredאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoגֹּרְשָׁהgor/SHAhave been drivenאֶלeltoקְצוֹתke/TSOTthe endsהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthלְדַעַתle/DA/atto a knowledgeהָאֱמֶתha/e/METof the truthוּלְהַאֲמִיןu/le/ha/a/MINand believeבַּמָּשִׁיחַbam/Ma/SHI/achin the Messiahוּלְהִגָּאֵלu/le/hig/ga/ELand be redeemedמֵעֹשֶׁקme/O/shekfrom oppressionוְלִשְׂמֹחַve/lis/MO/achand rejoiceלְפָנֶיךָ׃le/fa/ne/KHAbefore you

    And may all the scattered remnants of Israel, who have been driven to the ends of the earth, come to a knowledge of the truth, believe in the Messiah, and be redeemed from oppression, and rejoice before thee.

    O Lord, remember thy servant, Joseph Smith, Jun., and all his afflictions and persecutions—how he has covenanted with Jehovah, and vowed to thee, O Mighty God of Jacob—and the commandments which thou hast given unto him, and that he hath sincerely striven to do thy will.

    Have mercy, O Lord, upon his wife and children, that they may be exalted in thy presence, and preserved by thy fostering hand.

    Have mercy upon all their immediate connections, that their prejudices may be broken up and swept away as with a flood; that they may be converted and redeemed with Israel, and know that thou art God.

    Remember, O Lord, the presidents, even all the presidents of thy church, that thy right hand may exalt them, with all their families, and their immediate connections, that their names may be perpetuated and had in everlasting remembrance from generation to generation.

    Remember all thy church, O Lord, with all their families, and all their immediate connections, with all their sick and afflicted ones, with all the poor and meek of the earth; that the kingdom, which thou hast set up without hands, may become a great mountain and fill the whole earth;

    That thy church may come forth out of the wilderness of darkness, and shine forth fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners;

    וְתִתְעַדֶּהve/tit/ad/DEand be adornedכַּכַּלָּהkak/kal/LAas a brideלַיּוֹםlay/YOMfor dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתִּגְלֶהtig/LEwhen you shall unveilאֶת־הַשָּׁמַיִםet-hash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensוְתָמֵסve/ta/MESand cause to flow downהֶהָרִיםhe/ha/RIMthe mountainsמִלְּפָנֶיךָmil/le/fa/NE/khaat your presenceוְהָעֲמָקִיםve/ha/a/ma/KIMand the valleysיִנָּשְׂאוּyin/na/se/Uto be exaltedוְהַמְּקוֹמוֹתve/ham/me/ko/MOTand the placesהָעֲקֻבִּיםha/a/kub/BIMroughיְיֻשָּׁרוּye/yush/sha/RUmade smoothלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִמָּלֵאyim/MA/lemay fillכְבוֹדְךָkhe/vod/KHAyour gloryאֶת־הָאָרֶץ׃et-ha/a/RETSthe earth

    And be adorned as a bride for that day when thou shalt unveil the heavens, and cause the mountains to flow down at thy presence, and the valleys to be exalted, the rough places made smooth; that thy glory may fill the earth;

75. 75

    לְמַעַןle/MA/anthatבְּהָרִיעַbe/ha/RI/awhen shall soundהַשּׁוֹפָרhash/sho/FARthe trumpלַמֵּתִיםlam/me/TIMfor the deadנִלָּקַחnil/la/KACHwe shall be caught upבֶּעָנָןbe/a/NANin the cloudלִקְרָאתְךָlik/ra/te/KHAto meet youלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatנִהְיֶהnih/YEwe may beעִםimwithיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordתָּמִיד׃ta/MIDever

    That when the trump shall sound for the dead, we shall be caught up in the cloud to meet thee, that we may ever be with the Lord;

    That our garments may be pure, that we may be clothed upon with robes of righteousness, with palms in our hands, and crowns of glory upon our heads, and reap eternal joy for all our sufferings.

    O Lord God Almighty, hear us in these our petitions, and answer us from heaven, thy holy habitation, where thou sittest enthroned, with glory, honor, power, majesty, might, dominion, truth, justice, judgment, mercy, and an infinity of fulness, from everlasting to everlasting.

    O hear, O hear, O hear us, O Lord! And answer these petitions, and accept the dedication of this house unto thee, the work of our hands, which we have built unto thy name;

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoאֶת־הַכְּנֵסִיָּהet-hak/ke/ne/siy/YAchurchהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisלָשׂוּםla/SUMto putעָלֶיהָa/LE/haupon itאֶת־שִׁמְךָet-shim/KHAyour nameוְעׇזְרֵנוּve/oz/RE/nuand help usבְּכֹחַbe/KHO/achby the powerרוּחֲךָRu/cha/KHAof your Spiritלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatנְעָרֵבne/a/REVwe may mingleקוֹלוֹתֵינוּko/lo/te/NUour voicesעִםimwithהַשְּׂרָפִיםhas/se/ra/FIMseraphsהַזּוֹהֲרִיםhaz/zo/ha/RIMshiningהַמְּאִירִיםham/me/i/RIMbrightהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/lethoseסְבִיבse/VIVaroundכִּסְאֶךָkis/E/khayour throneבִּתְהִלָּהbit/hil/LAwith acclamations of praiseשָׁרִיםsha/RIMsingingהוֹשַׁע־נָאHo/SHA-naHosannaלֵאלֹהִיםle/lo/HIMto Godוְלַשֶּׂה׃ve/Las/SEand the Lamb

    And also this church, to put upon it thy name. And help us by the power of thy Spirit, that we may mingle our voices with those bright, shining seraphs around thy throne, with acclamations of praise, singing Hosanna to God and the Lamb!

    וְיִלְבְּשׁוּve/yil/be/SHUand let be clothed withמְשִׁיחֶיךָme/shi/CHE/khayour anointed onesהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseיְשׁוּעָהye/shu/Asalvationוּקְדוֹשֶׁיךָu/ke/do/she/KHAand your saintsיָרִיעוּya/RI/ushoutבְשִׂמְחָהve/sim/CHAaloud for joyאָמֵןa/MENAmenוְאָמֵן׃ve/a/MENand Amen

    And let these, thine anointed ones, be clothed with salvation, and thy saints shout aloud for joy. Amen, and Amen.
