   It is my will that my servant Warren A. Cowdery should be appointed and ordained a presiding high priest over my church, in the land of Freedom and the regions round about;

   וְיַטִּיףve/yat/TIFand should preachבְּשׂוֹרָתִיbe/so/ra/TImy gospelאֲשֶׁר־לְעוֹלָםa/SHER-le/o/LAMeverlastingוְיָרִיםve/ya/RIMand lift upקוֹלוֹko/LOhis voiceוְיַזְהִירve/yaz/HIRand warnאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleלֹאlonotרַקrakonlyבִּמְקוֹמוֹbim/ko/MOin his own placeכִּי־אִםki-imbutבַּמְּחוֹזוֹתbam/me/cho/ZOTin the countiesהַסְּמוּכִים׃has/se/mu/KHIMadjoining

   And should preach my everlasting gospel, and lift up his voice and warn the people, not only in his own place, but in the adjoining counties;

   וְיַקְדִּישׁve/yak/DISHand devoteכׇּלkolwholeזְמַנּוֹze/man/NOhis timeלַקְּרִיאָהlak/ke/ri/Ato callingהַגְּבֹהָהhag/ge/vo/HAhighוְהַקְּדוֹשָׁהve/hak/ke/do/SHAand holyהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאֲנִיa/NIIנוֹתֵןno/TENgiveלוֹlohimעַתָּהat/TAnowמְבַקֵּשׁme/vak/KESHseekingהֵיטֵבhe/TEVdiligentlyמַלְכוּתmal/KHUTthe kingdomהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimof heavenוְצִדְקָתָהּve/tsid/ka/TAand its righteousnessוְכׇל־הַדְּבָרִיםve/KHOL-had/de/va/RIMand all thingsהַנְּחוּצִיםhan/ne/chu/TSIMnecessaryיִוָּסְפוּyiv/va/se/FUshall be addedעָלָיוa/LAYVthereuntoכִּיkiforהַפּוֹעֵלhap/po/ELthe laborerרָאוּיra/UYis worthyלִשְׂכָרוֹ׃lis/kha/ROof his hire

   And devote his whole time to this high and holy calling, which I now give unto him, seeking diligently the kingdom of heaven and its righteousness, and all things necessary shall be added thereunto; for the laborer is worthy of his hire.

   וְעוֹדve/ODand againאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youבּוֹאbothe comingיְהוָהAdonaiof the Lordקָרֵבka/REVdraws nighוְהוּאve/HUand itמַשִּׂיגmas/SIGovertakesאֶת־הָעוֹלָםet-ha/o/LAMthe worldכְּגַנָּבke/gan/NAVas a thiefבַּלַּיְלָה׃bal/lay/LAin the night

   And again, verily I say unto you, the coming of the Lord draweth nigh, and it overtaketh the world as a thief in the night—

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeחִגְרוּchig/RUgird upמׇתְנֵיכֶםmot/ne/KHEMyour loinsלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתִּהְיוּtih/YUyou may beבְּנֵיbe/NEthe childrenאוֹרorof lightוְלֹאve/LOand notיַשִּׂיגyas/SIGshall overtakeאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouהַיּוֹםhay/YOMdayהַהוּאha/HUthatכְּגַנָּב׃ke/gan/NAVas a thief

   Therefore, gird up your loins, that you may be the children of light, and that day shall not overtake you as a thief.

   וְעוֹדve/ODand againאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youהָיְתָהha/ye/TAthere wasשִׂמְחָהsim/CHAjoyבַּשָּׁמַיִםbash/sha/MA/yimin heavenכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenכָּרַעka/RAbowedעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantוָרֶןVA/renWarrenלְשַׁרְבִיטִיle/shar/vi/TIto my scepterוְנִבְדַּלve/niv/DALand separated himselfמֵעׇרְמַתme/or/MATfrom the craftsבְּנֵיbe/NEof sonsאָדָם׃a/DAMof men

   And again, verily I say unto you, there was joy in heaven when my servant Warren bowed to my scepter, and separated himself from the crafts of men;

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeבָּרוּךְba/RUKHblessed isעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantוָרֶןVA/renWarrenכִּיkiforאֲרַחֲמֶנּוּa/ra/cha/MEN/nuI will have mercy on himוְעַלve/ALand notwithstandingהֶבֶלHE/velthe vanityלִבּוֹlib/BOof his heartאֲרוֹמְמֶנּוּa/rom/men/NUI will lift him upכְּפִיke/FIinasmuchאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasיַשְׁפִּילyash/PILhe will humbleנַפְשׁוֹnaf/SHOhimselfלְפָנָי׃le/fa/NAYbefore me

   Therefore, blessed is my servant Warren, for I will have mercy on him; and, notwithstanding the vanity of his heart, I will lift him up inasmuch as he will humble himself before me.

   וְאֶתֵּןve/et/TENand I will giveלוֹlohimחֵןchengraceוּבִטָּחוֹןu/vit/ta/CHONand assuranceאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwherewithבָּהֶםba/HEMin themיַעֲמֹדya/a/MODhe may standוְאִםve/IMand ifיוֹסִיףyo/SIFhe continueלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beעֵדeda witnessנֶאֱמָןne/e/MANfaithfulוְאוֹרve/ORand a lightלַכְּנֵסִיָּהlak/ke/ne/siy/YAunto the churchהֲכִינוֹתִיha/khi/NO/tiI preparedלוֹlofor himעֲטָרָהa/ta/RAa crownבִּמְעוֹנוֹתbim/o/NOTin the mansionsאָבִיA/VIof my Fatherכֵּןkeneven soאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

   And I will give him grace and assurance wherewith he may stand; and if he continue to be a faithful witness and a light unto the church I have prepared a crown for him in the mansions of my Father. Even so. Amen.
