   Verily I say unto you who have assembled yourselves together that you may learn my will concerning the redemption of mine afflicted people—

   הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youלוּלֵיlu/LEwere it not forפִשְׁעֵיfish/Ethe transgressionsעַמִּיam/MIof my peopleמְדַבֵּרme/dab/BERspeakingעַלalconcerningהַכְּנֵסִיָּהhak/ke/ne/siy/YAthe churchוְלֹאve/LOand notעַלalconcerningיְחִידִיםye/chi/DIMindividualsנִגְאֲלוּnig/a/LUthey might have been redeemedעַתָּהat/TAnowכְבָר׃khe/VAReven

   Behold, I say unto you, were it not for the transgressions of my people, speaking concerning the church and not individuals, they might have been redeemed even now.

   But behold, they have not learned to be obedient to the things which I required at their hands, but are full of all manner of evil, and do not impart of their substance, as becometh saints, to the poor and afflicted among them;

   וְאֵינָםve/e/NAMand are notמְאֻחָדִיםme/u/cha/DIMunitedלְפִיle/FIaccording toהַיַּחַדhay/YA/chadthe unionאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichדּוֹרֶשֶׁתdo/RE/shetrequiresתּוֹרַתto/RATthe lawמַמְלֶכֶתmam/LE/khetof the kingdomהַשָּׁמַיִם׃hash/sha/ma/YIMcelestial

   And are not united according to the union required by the law of the celestial kingdom;

   וְצִיּוֹןve/Tsiy/YONand Zionאֵינָהּe/NAis notיְכוֹלָהye/kho/LAableלְהִבָּנוֹתle/hib/ba/NOTbe built upכִּי־אִםki-imunlessעַלalbyעִקְּרֵיik/ke/REthe principlesתּוֹרַתto/RATof the lawמַמְלֶכֶתmam/LE/khetof the kingdomהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimcelestialוְאִם־לֹאve/IM-lootherwiseאֵינֶנִּיe/NEN/niI am notיָכוֹלya/KHOLableלְקַבְּלָהּle/kab/be/LAreceive herאֵלַי׃e/LAYunto myself

   And Zion cannot be built up unless it is by the principles of the law of the celestial kingdom; otherwise I cannot receive her unto myself.

   וְעַמִּיve/am/MIand my peopleהִוָּסֵרhiv/va/SERmust needsיִוָּסֵרyiv/va/SERbe chastenedעַדaduntilאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיִלְמְדוּyil/me/DUthey learnלִשְׁמֹעַlish/MO/aobedienceאִםimifנָכוֹןna/KHONit must needs beבַּדְּבָרִיםbad/de/va/RIMby the thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיִסְבְּלוּ׃yis/be/LUthey suffer

   And my people must needs be chastened until they learn obedience, if it must needs be, by the things which they suffer.

   אֵינֶנִּיe/NEN/niI notמְדַבֵּרme/dab/BERspeakעַלalconcerningהַמְּמֻנִּיםham/me/mun/NIMthose who are appointedלְהַנְהִיגle/han/HIGto leadעַמִּיam/MImy peopleאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהֵםhemareזִקְנֵיzik/NEthe eldersכְּנֵסִיָּתִיke/ne/siy/ya/TIof my churchהָרִאשׁוֹנִיםha/ri/sho/NIMfirstכִּיkiforלֹאlonotכֻלָּםkhul/LAMthey are allתַּחַתTA/chatunderהָאַשְׁמָהha/ash/MAcondemnationהַזֹּאת׃haz/ZOTthis

   I speak not concerning those who are appointed to lead my people, who are the first elders of my church, for they are not all under this condemnation;

   כִּי־אִםki-imbutמְדַבֵּרme/dab/BERI speakעַלalconcerningכְּנֵסִיּוֹתַיke/ne/siy/yo/TAYmy churchesבַּמֶּרְחָקִיםbam/mer/cha/KIMabroadרַבִּיםrab/BIMthere are manyיֹאמְרוּyo/me/RUwho will sayאַיֵּהay/YEwhere isאֱלֹהֵיהֶםe/lo/he/HEMtheir Godהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיַצִּילֵםyats/tsi/LEMhe will deliver themבְּעֵתbe/ETin timeצָרָהtsa/RAof troubleוְאִם־לֹאve/IM-lootherwiseלֹאlonotנַעֲלֶהna/a/LEwe will go upלְצִיּוֹןle/Tsiy/YONunto Zionוְנִשְׁמֹרve/nish/MORand will keepכַּסְפֵּנוּ׃kas/pe/NUour moneys

   But I speak concerning my churches abroad—there are many who will say: Where is their God? Behold, he will deliver them in time of trouble, otherwise we will not go up unto Zion, and will keep our moneys.

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeעֵקֶבE/kevin consequence ofפִּשְׁעֵיpish/Ethe transgressionsעַמִּיam/MIof my peopleנָכוֹןna/KHONit is expedientבִּיbiin meאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיַמְתִּינוּyam/ti/NUshould waitזְקֵנַיze/ke/NAYmy eldersלַמִּצְעָרlam/mits/ARfor a little seasonלִגְאֻלַּתlig/ul/LATfor the redemptionצִיּוֹן׃Tsiy/YONof Zion

   Therefore, in consequence of the transgressions of my people, it is expedient in me that mine elders should wait for a little season for the redemption of Zion—

    לְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִהְיוּyih/YUmay beהֵםhemtheyעַצְמָםats/MAMthemselvesמוּכָנִיםmu/kha/NIMpreparedוּלְמַעַןu/le/MA/anand thatיְלֻמַּדye/lum/MADmay be taughtעַמִּיam/MImy peopleהֵיטֵבhe/TEVmore perfectlyוְיִהְיֶהve/yih/YEand haveלָהֶםla/HEMunto themנִסָּיוֹןnis/sa/YONexperienceוְיֵדְעוּve/yed/Uand knowהֵיטֵבhe/TEVmore perfectlyמִשְׁמַרְתָּםmish/mar/TAMconcerning their dutyוְהַדְּבָרִיםve/had/de/va/RIMand the thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאֲנִיa/NIIדּוֹרֵשׁdo/RESHrequireמִיְּדֵיהֶם׃miy/ye/de/HEMat their hands

    That they themselves may be prepared, and that my people may be taught more perfectly, and have experience, and know more perfectly concerning their duty, and the things which I require at their hands.

11. 11

    וְזֶהve/ZEand thisאֵינוֹe/NOis notיָכוֹלya/KHOLableלְהֵעָשׂוֹתle/he/a/SOTbe brought to passעַדaduntilאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיְלֻבְּשׁוּye/lub/be/SHUare endowedזְקֵנַיze/ke/NAYmy eldersכֹּחַKO/achwith powerמִמָּרוֹם׃mim/ma/ROMfrom on high

    And this cannot be brought to pass until mine elders are endowed with power from on high.

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהֲכִינוֹתִיha/khi/NO/tiI preparedהַלְבָּשָׁהhal/ba/SHAan endowmentגְּדוֹלָהge/do/LAgreatוּבְרָכָהu/ve/ra/KHAand blessingלְהִשָּׁפֵךְle/hish/sha/FEKHto be poured outעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themכְּפִיke/FIinasmuch asאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיִהְיוּyih/YUthey areנֶאֱמָנִיםne/e/ma/NIMfaithfulוְיוֹסִיפוּve/yo/SI/fuand continueבַּעֲנָוָהba/a/na/VAin humilityלְפָנַי׃le/fa/NAYbefore me

    For behold, I have prepared a great endowment and blessing to be poured out upon them, inasmuch as they are faithful and continue in humility before me.

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeנָכוֹןna/KHONit is expedientבִּיbiin meאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיַמְתִּינוּyam/ti/NUshould waitזְקֵנַיze/ke/NAYmy eldersלַמִּצְעָרlam/mits/ARfor a little seasonלִגְאֻלַּתlig/ul/LATfor the redemptionצִיּוֹן׃Tsiy/YONof Zion

    Therefore it is expedient in me that mine elders should wait for a little season, for the redemption of Zion.

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֵינֶנִּיe/NEN/niI do notדּוֹרֵשׁdo/RESHrequireמִיְּדֵיהֶםmiy/ye/de/HEMat their handsלְהִלָּחֵםle/hil/la/CHEMto fightמִלְחֲמוֹתmil/cha/MOTthe battlesצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONof Zionכִּיkiforכַאֲשֶׁרkha/a/SHERasאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI saidבְּמִצְוָהbe/mits/VAin a commandmentקֹדֶמֶתko/DE/metformerכֵּןkeneven soאֲקַיֵּםa/kay/YEMwill I fulfilאֲנִיa/NIIאֶלָּחֵםel/la/CHEMwill fightמִלְחֲמוֹתֵיכֶם׃mil/cha/mo/te/KHEMyour battles

    For behold, I do not require at their hands to fight the battles of Zion; for, as I said in a former commandment, even so will I fulfil—I will fight your battles.

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהַמַּשְׁחִיתham/mash/CHITthe destroyerשִׁלַּחְתִּיshil/LACH/tiI sent forthלְהַשְׁחִיתle/hash/CHITto destroyוּלְהַחֲרִיבu/le/ha/cha/RIVand lay wasteאֹיְבַיoy/VAYmy enemiesוְלֹאve/LOand notשָׁנִיםsha/NIMyearsרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyמֵעַתָּהme/at/TAhenceלֹאlonotיִשָּׁאֲרוּyish/sha/a/RUthey shall be leftלְטַמֵּאle/tam/MEto polluteנַחֲלָתִיna/cha/la/TImy heritageוּלְגַדֵּףu/le/gad/DEFand to blasphemeשְׁמִיshe/MImy nameעַלaluponהָאֲרָצוֹתha/a/ra/TSOTthe landsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהִקְדַּשְׁתִּיhik/DASH/tiI consecratedלְקִבּוּץle/kib/BUTSfor the gathering togetherקְדוֹשָׁי׃ke/do/SHAYof my saints

    Behold, the destroyer I have sent forth to destroy and lay waste mine enemies; and not many years hence they shall not be left to pollute mine heritage, and to blaspheme my name upon the lands which I have consecrated for the gathering together of my saints.

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdצִוִּיתִיtsiv/VI/tiI commandedעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephסְמִיתSe/MITSmithהַבֵּןHab/BENJunלֵאמֹרle/MORto sayלְעֹזle/OZunto the strengthבֵּיתִיbe/TIof my houseגַּםgamevenגִּבּוֹרַיgib/bo/RAYmy warriorsבַּחוּרַיba/chu/RAYmy young menוּבֵינוֹנַיu/ve/no/NAYand middle-agedלְהֵאָסֵףle/he/a/SEFto gatherיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherלִגְאֻלַּתlig/ul/LATfor the redemptionעַמִּיam/MIof my peopleוּלְהַפִּילu/le/hap/PILand throw downמִגְדְּלֵיmig/de/LEthe towersאֹיְבַיoy/VAYof my enemiesוּלְהָפִיץu/le/ha/FITSand scatterצוֹפֵיהֶם׃tso/fe/HEMtheir watchmen

    Behold, I have commanded my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., to say unto the strength of my house, even my warriors, my young men, and middle-aged, to gather together for the redemption of my people, and throw down the towers of mine enemies, and scatter their watchmen;

    אַךְakhbutעֹזozthe strengthבֵּיתִיbe/TIof my houseלֹאlonotשָׁמְעוּsha/me/Uhearkenedלִדְבָרַי׃lid/va/RAYunto my words

    But the strength of mine house have not hearkened unto my words.

18. 18

    אַךְakhbutכְּפִיke/FIinasmuch asאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיֵשׁyeshthere areאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthose whoשָׁמְעוּsha/me/Uhearkenedלִדְבָרַיlid/va/RAYunto my wordsהֲכִינוֹתִיha/khi/NO/tiI preparedלָהֶםla/HEMfor themבְּרָכָהbe/ra/KHAa blessingוְהַלְבָּשָׁהve/hal/ba/SHAand an endowmentאִםimifיוֹסִיפוּyo/SI/futhey continueלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beנֶאֱמָנִים׃ne/e/ma/NIMfaithful

    But inasmuch as there are those who have hearkened unto my words, I have prepared a blessing and an endowment for them, if they continue faithful.

19. 19

    שָׁמַעְתִּיsha/MA/tiI heardתְּפִלּוֹתֵיהֶםte/fil/lo/te/HEMtheir prayersוַאֲקַבֵּלva/a/kab/BELand will acceptקׇרְבָּנָםkor/ba/NAMtheir offeringוְנָכוֹןve/na/KHONand it is expedientבִּיbiin meאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיוּבְאוּyuv/Uthey should be broughtעַדaduntilהֲלֹםha/LOMthus farלְנַסּוֹתle/nas/SOTfor a trialאֱמוּנָתָם׃e/mu/na/TAMof their faith

    I have heard their prayers, and will accept their offering; and it is expedient in me that they should be brought thus far for a trial of their faith.

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youמִצְוָהmits/VAa commandmentנוֹתֵןno/TENI giveלָכֶםla/KHEMyouאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatכׇּלkolas many asעָלוּa/LUcame upהֵנָּהHEN/nahitherאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיְכוֹלִיםye/kho/LIMcanלְהִשָּׁאֵרle/hish/sha/ERstayבַּסְּבִיבוֹתbas/se/vi/VOTin the regions round aboutיִשָּׁאֲרוּ׃yish/sha/a/RUlet them stay

    And now, verily I say unto you, a commandment I give unto you, that as many as have come up hither, that can stay in the region round about, let them stay;

21. 21

    וְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand thoseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאֵינָםe/NAMare notיְכוֹלִיםye/kho/LIMableלְהִשָּׁאֵרle/hish/sha/ERstayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיֶשׁ־לָהֶםyesh-la/HEMhaveמִשְׁפָּחוֹתmish/pa/CHOTfamiliesבַּמִּזְרָחbam/miz/RACHin the eastיֵשְׁבוּyesh/VUlet them tarryלַמִּצְעָרlam/mits/ARfor a little seasonכְּפִיke/FIinasmuch asאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיְמַנֶּהye/man/NEshall appointלָהֶםla/HEMunto themעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantיוֹסֵף׃Yo/SEFJoseph

    And those that cannot stay, who have families in the east, let them tarry for a little season, inasmuch as my servant Joseph shall appoint unto them;

22. 22

    כִּיkiforאִיעָצֶנּוּi/a/tsen/NUI will counsel himבַּדָּבָרbad/da/VARconcerning matterהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְכׇל־הַדְּבָרִיםve/KHOL-had/de/va/RIMand all thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhatsoeverיְמַנֶּהye/man/NEhe shall appointלָהֶםla/HEMunto themיִתְקַיְּמוּ׃yit/kay/ye/MUshall be fulfilled

    For I will counsel him concerning this matter, and all things whatsoever he shall appoint unto them shall be fulfilled.

    וְכׇל־עַמִּיve/KHOL-am/MIand let all my peopleהַיּוֹשְׁבִיםhay/yosh/VIMwho dwellבַּסְּבִיבוֹתbas/se/vi/VOTin the regions round aboutיִהְיוּyih/YUbeנֶאֱמָנִיםne/e/ma/NIMfaithfulמְאֹדme/ODveryוּמִתְפַּלְּלִיםu/mit/pal/le/LIMand prayerfulוַעֲנָוִיםva/a/na/VIMand humbleלְפָנַיle/fa/NAYbefore meוְאַלve/ALand notיְגַלּוּye/gal/LUrevealהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichגִּלֵּיתִיgil/LE/tiI revealedלָהֶםla/HEMunto themעַדaduntilאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתִּהְיֶהtih/YEit isחׇכְמָהchokh/MAwisdomבִּיbiin meאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיְגֻלּוּ׃ye/gul/LUthey should be revealed

    And let all my people who dwell in the regions round about be very faithful, and prayerful, and humble before me, and reveal not the things which I have revealed unto them, until it is wisdom in me that they should be revealed.

    אַלalnotתְּדַבְּרוּte/dab/be/RUtalkעַלalofמִשְׁפָּטִיםmish/pa/TIMjudgmentsוְאַלve/ALneitherתִּתְהַלְּלוּtit/hal/le/LUboastבֶּאֱמוּנָהbe/e/mu/NAof faithאוֹonorבְמַעֲשִׂיםve/ma/a/SIMof worksגְּדוֹלִיםge/do/LIMmightyכִּי־אִםki-imbutהֵאָסְפוּhe/a/se/FUgather togetherהֵיטֵבhe/TEVcarefullyכְּפִיke/FIas muchאֲשֶׁרa/SHERasתּוּכְלוּtukh/LUcan beבְּמָקוֹםbe/ma/KOMin placeאֶחָדe/CHADoneכְּפִיke/FIconsistently withלֵבlevthe heartהָעָם׃ha/AMof the people

    Talk not of judgments, neither boast of faith nor of mighty works, but carefully gather together, as much in one region as can be, consistently with the feelings of the people;

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאֶתֵּןet/TENI will giveלָכֶםla/KHEMyouחֵןchenfavorוְחֶסֶדve/CHE/sedand graceבְּעֵינֵיהֶםbe/e/ne/HEMin their eyesלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתָּנוּחוּta/nu/CHUyou may restבְּשָׁלוֹםbe/sha/LOMin peaceוּבְבִטָּחוֹןu/ve/vit/ta/CHONand safetyבְּעוֹדְכֶםbe/od/KHEMwhile you areאוֹמְרִיםom/RIMsayingלָעָםla/AMunto the peopleעֲשׂוּa/SUexecuteלָנוּLA/nufor usמִשְׁפָּטmish/PATjudgmentוּצְדָקָהu/tse/da/KAand justiceלְפִיle/FIaccording toהַחֹקha/CHOKlawוְתַקְּנוּve/tak/ke/NUand redressאֶת־עַוְלוֹתֵינוּ׃et-av/lo/te/NUour wrongs

    And behold, I will give unto you favor and grace in their eyes, that you may rest in peace and safety, while you are saying unto the people: Execute judgment and justice for us according to law, and redress us of our wrongs.

    עַתָּהat/TAnowהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youרֵעַיre/AYmy friendsבַּדֶּרֶךְbad/DE/rekhin the wayהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisתִּמְצְאוּtim/tse/Uyou may findחֵןchenfavorבְּעֵינֵיbe/e/NEin the eyesהָעָםha/AMof the peopleעַדaduntilאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיִגְדַּלyig/DALbecomesמְאֹדme/ODvery greatצְבָאtse/VAthe armyיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELof Israel

    Now, behold, I say unto you, my friends, in this way you may find favor in the eyes of the people, until the army of Israel becomes very great.

    וַאֲרַכֵּךְva/a/rak/KEKHand I will softenלִבּוֹתlib/BOTthe heartsהָעָםha/AMof the peopleכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasרִכַּכְתִּיrik/kakh/TII didאֶת־לֵבet-levthe heartפַּרְעֹהPar/Oof Pharaohמִפַּעַםmip/PA/amfrom timeלְפַעַםle/FA/amto timeעַדaduntilאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall haveלְעַבְדִּיle/av/DImy servantיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephסְמִיתSe/MITSmithהַבֵּןHab/BENJunוְלִזְקֵנַיve/liz/ke/NAYand my eldersאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichמִנִּיתִיmin/ni/TII appointedזְמַןze/MANtimeלֶאֱסֹףle/e/SOFto gather upעֹזozthe strengthבֵּיתִי׃be/TIof my house

    And I will soften the hearts of the people, as I did the heart of Pharaoh, from time to time, until my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., and mine elders, whom I have appointed, shall have time to gather up the strength of my house,

    וְלִשְׁלֹחַve/lish/LO/achand to have sentאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenחֲכָמִיםcha/kha/MIMwiseלְקַיֵּםle/kay/YEMto fulfilאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat whichצִוִּיתִיtsiv/VI/tiI commandedעַלalconcerningקְנִיַּתke/niy/YATthe purchasingכׇּל־הָאֲרָצוֹתkol-ha/a/ra/TSOTof all the landsבִּמְחוֹזbim/CHOZin countyגָ׳קְסוֹןGa/ke/SONJacksonאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיוּכַלyu/KHALcan beלִקְנוֹתlik/NOTpurchasedוּבַמְּחוֹזוֹתu/vam/me/cho/ZOTand in the countiesהַסְּמוּכִיםhas/se/mu/KHIMadjoiningסָבִיב׃sa/VIVround about

    And to have sent wise men, to fulfil that which I have commanded concerning the purchasing of all the lands in Jackson county that can be purchased, and in the adjoining counties round about.

29. 29

    כִּיkiforרְצוֹנִיre/tso/NIit is my willאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתִּקָּנֶינָהtik/ka/ne/NAshould be purchasedהָאֲרָצוֹתha/a/ra/TSOTlandsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseוְאַחֲרֵיve/a/cha/REand afterאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתִּקָּנֶינָהtik/ka/ne/NAthey are purchasedיִירְשׁוּYI/re/shushould possessקְדוֹשַׁיke/do/SHAYmy saintsאוֹתָןo/TANthemלְפִיle/FIaccording toחֻקֵּיchuk/KEthe lawsהַתְּרוּמָהhat/te/ru/MAof consecrationאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנָתַתִּי׃na/tat/TII gave

    For it is my will that these lands should be purchased; and after they are purchased that my saints should possess them according to the laws of consecration which I have given.

30. 30

    וְאַחֲרֵיve/a/cha/REand afterאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatתִּקָּנֶינָהtik/ka/ne/NAare purchasedהָאֲרָצוֹתha/a/ra/TSOTlandsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאֶחְשֹׁבech/SHOVI will holdאֶת־צִבְאוֹתet-tsiv/OTthe armiesיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELof Israelנְקִיִּיםne/kiy/YIMguiltlessבְּקַחְתָּםbe/kach/TAMin taking possessionאֶת־אַרְצוֹתֵיהֶםet-ar/tso/te/HEMof their landsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichקָנוּka/NUthey purchasedקֹדֶםKO/dempreviouslyבְּכַסְפֵּיהֶםbe/khas/pe/HEMwith their moneysוּבַהֲרֹסu/va/ha/ROSand in throwing downאֶת־מִגְדְּלֵיet-mig/de/LEthe towersאֹיְבַיoy/VAYof my enemiesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichעֲלֵיהֶןa/le/HENmay be upon themוּבְהָפִיצָםu/ve/ha/fi/TSAMand in scatteringאֶת־צוֹפֵיהֶםet-tso/fe/HEMtheir watchmenוּבְנׇקְמָםu/ve/nok/MAMand in avengingאֶת־נִקְמָתִיet-nik/ma/TImy vengeanceמֵאֹיְבַיme/oy/VAYof my enemiesעַדaduntilהַדּוֹרhad/DORthe generationהַשְּׁלִישִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthirdוְהָרְבִיעִיve/ha/re/vi/Iand fourthלְשֹׂנְאָי׃le/son/AYof them that hate me

    And after these lands are purchased, I will hold the armies of Israel guiltless in taking possession of their own lands, which they have previously purchased with their moneys, and of throwing down the towers of mine enemies that may be upon them, and scattering their watchmen, and avenging me of mine enemies unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.

31. 31

    אַךְakhbutרִאשׁוֹנָהri/sho/NAfirstיִגְדַּלyig/DALlet becomeצְבָאִיtse/va/Imy armyמְאֹדme/ODvery greatוְיִתְקַדֵּשׁve/yit/kad/DESHand let it be sanctifiedלְפָנַיle/fa/NAYbefore meלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִהְיֶהyih/YEit may becomeיָפֶהya/FEfairכַּחַמָּהka/cham/MAas the sunוּבַרu/VARand clearכַלְּבָנָהkhal/le/va/NAas the moonוּדְגָלָיוu/de/ga/LAYVand that her bannersיִהְיוּyih/YUmay beנוֹרָאִיםno/ra/IMterribleלְכׇל־הַגּוֹיִם׃le/KHOL-hag/go/YIMunto all nations

    But first let my army become very great, and let it be sanctified before me, that it may become fair as the sun, and clear as the moon, and that her banners may be terrible unto all nations;

32. 32

    לְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיֵאָנְסוּye/a/ne/SUmay be constrainedמַמְלְכוֹתmam/le/KHOTthe kingdomsהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMof the worldהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisלְהוֹדוֹתle/ho/DOTto acknowledgeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatמַלְכוּתmal/KHUTthe kingdomצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONof Zionהִיאhiisאׇמְנָםom/NAMin very deedמַמְלֶכֶתmam/LE/khetthe kingdomאֱלֹהֵינוּe/lo/HE/nuof our Godוּמְשִׁיחוֹu/Me/shi/CHOand his Christלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeנִכָּנַעnik/ka/NAlet us become subjectלְחֻקֶּיהָ׃le/chuk/ke/HAunto her laws

    That the kingdoms of this world may be constrained to acknowledge that the kingdom of Zion is in very deed the kingdom of our God and his Christ; therefore, let us become subject unto her laws.

33. 33

    אָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youנָכוֹןna/KHONit is expedientבִּיbiin meאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיְקַבְּלוּye/kab/be/LUshould receiveזִקְנֵיzik/NEthe eldersכְּנֵסִיָּתִיke/ne/siy/ya/TIof my churchהָרִאשׁוֹנִיםha/ri/sho/NIMfirstהַלְבָּשָׁתָםhal/ba/sha/TAMtheir endowmentמִמָּרוֹםmim/ma/ROMfrom on highבְּבֵיתִיbe/ve/TIin my houseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichצִוִּיתִיtsiv/VI/tiI commandedלְהִבָּנוֹתle/hib/ba/NOTto be builtלִשְׁמִיlish/MIunto my nameבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin the landקִרְטְלַנְד׃Kir/te/LANDof Kirtland

    Verily I say unto you, it is expedient in me that the first elders of my church should receive their endowment from on high in my house, which I have commanded to be built unto my name in the land of Kirtland.

34. 34

    וִיקֻיְּמוּvi/kuy/ye/MUand let be executedוְיִמָּלְאוּve/yim/ma/le/Uand fulfilledהַמִּצְוֹתham/mits/VOTthose commandmentsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI gaveעַלalconcerningצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONZionוְתוֹרָתָהּve/to/ra/TAand her lawאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterגְאֻלָּתָהּ׃ge/ul/la/TAher redemption

    And let those commandments which I have given concerning Zion and her law be executed and fulfilled, after her redemption.

35. 35

    הָיָהha/YAthere has beenיוֹםyoma dayקְרִיאָהke/ri/Aof callingאַךְakhbutבָּאָהba/Acameהָעֵתha/ETthe timeלְיוֹםle/YOMfor a dayבְּחִירָהbe/chi/RAof choosingוְיִבָּחֲרוּve/yib/ba/cha/RUand let be chosenהָרְאוּיִים׃ha/re/u/YIMthose that are worthy

    There has been a day of calling, but the time has come for a day of choosing; and let those be chosen that are worthy.

36. 36

    וְיוּדַעve/yu/DAand it shall be manifestלְעַבְדִּיle/av/DIunto my servantבְּקוֹלbe/KOLby the voiceהָרוּחַha/RU/achof the SpiritאֵלֶּהEL/lethoseהַנִּבְחָרִיםhan/niv/cha/RIMthat are chosenוְיִתְקַדָּשׁוּ׃ve/yit/kad/da/SHUand they shall be sanctified

    And it shall be manifest unto my servant, by the voice of the Spirit, those that are chosen; and they shall be sanctified;

37. 37

    וּכְפִיu/khe/FIand inasmuch asאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיֵלְכוּyel/KHUthey followאַחַרa/CHARafterהָעֵצָהha/e/TSAthe counselאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיְקַבְּלוּye/kab/be/LUthey receiveיִהְיֶהyih/YEthey shall haveלָהֶםla/HEMunto themכֹּחַKO/achpowerאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterיָמִיםya/MIMdaysרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyלְהַשְׁלִיםle/hash/LIMto accomplishכׇּל־הַדְּבָרִיםkol-had/de/va/RIMall thingsהַנּוֹגְעִיםhan/nog/IMpertainingלְצִיּוֹן׃le/Tsiy/YONto Zion

    And inasmuch as they follow the counsel which they receive, they shall have power after many days to accomplish all things pertaining to Zion.

38. 38

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youבַּקְּשׁוּbak/ke/SHUsue forשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceלֹאlonotרַקrakonlyמֵהָעָםme/ha/AMto the peopleאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatהִכּוּhik/KUsmoteאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouכִּי־אִםki-imbutגַּםgamalsoמִכׇּל־הָעַמִּים׃mik/KOL-ha/am/MIMto all people

    And again I say unto you, sue for peace, not only to the people that have smitten you, but also to all people;

39. 39

    וְהָרִימוּve/ha/RI/muand lift upדֶּגֶלDE/gelan ensignשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMof peaceוְהַכְרִיזוּve/hakh/ri/ZUand make a proclamationשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMof peaceעַדaduntoקְצוֹתke/TSOTthe endsהָאָרֶץ׃ha/a/RETSof the earth

    And lift up an ensign of peace, and make a proclamation of peace unto the ends of the earth;

40. 40

    וְקִרְאוּve/kir/Uand make proposalsלְשָׁלוֹםle/sha/LOMfor peaceלַאֲשֶׁרla/a/SHERunto those whoהִכּוּhik/KUsmoteאֶתְכֶםet/KHEMyouלְפִיle/FIaccording toקוֹלkolthe voiceהָרוּחַha/RU/achof the Spiritאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבָּכֶםba/KHEMis in youוְכׇל־הַדְּבָרִיםve/KHOL-had/de/va/RIMand all thingsיִפְעֲלוּyif/a/LUshall workיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherלְטוֹבַתְכֶם׃le/to/vat/KHEMfor your good

    And make proposals for peace unto those who have smitten you, according to the voice of the Spirit which is in you, and all things shall work together for your good.

41. 41

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeהֱיוּhe/YUbeנֶאֱמָנִיםne/e/ma/NIMfaithfulוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdוְהֵןve/HENand loאֲנִיa/NIIאִתְּכֶםit/te/KHEMam with youעַדadeven untoהַקֵּץhak/KETSthe endכֵּןkeneven soאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

    Therefore, be faithful; and behold, and lo, I am with you even unto the end. Even so. Amen.
