   אָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youעַלalconcerningאֲחֵיכֶםa/che/KHEMyour brethrenאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoעֻנּוּun/NUhave been afflictedוְנִרְדְּפוּve/nir/de/FUand persecutedוְגֹרְשׁוּve/gor/SHUand cast outמֵאֶרֶץme/E/retsfrom the landנַחֲלָתָם׃na/cha/la/TAMof their inheritance

   Verily I say unto you, concerning your brethren who have been afflicted, and persecuted, and cast out from the land of their inheritance—

   אֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordהִנַּחְתִּיhin/nach/TIsufferedלָבוֹאla/VOto comeעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themהָעֹנִיha/O/nithe afflictionאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwherewithעֻנּוּun/NUthey have been afflictedמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEin consequence ofפִּשְׁעֵיהֶם׃pish/e/HEMtheir transgressions

   I, the Lord, have suffered the affliction to come upon them, wherewith they have been afflicted, in consequence of their transgressions;

   אַךְakhyetאֲקַבְּלֵםa/kab/be/LEMI will own themוְיִהְיוּve/yih/YUand they shall beלִיlimineבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenאָבוֹאa/VOI shall comeלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto make upסְגֻלָּתִי׃se/gul/la/TImy jewels

   Yet I will own them, and they shall be mine in that day when I shall come to make up my jewels.

   לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeהִוָּסֵרhiv/va/SERmust needsיִוָּסְרוּyiv/va/se/RUthey be chastenedוְיִבָּחֲנוּve/yib/ba/cha/NUand triedגַּםgamevenכְּאַבְרָהָםke/Av/ra/HAMas Abrahamאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoצֻוָּהtsuv/VAwas commandedלְהַעֲלוֹתle/ha/a/LOTto offer upאֶת־בְּנוֹet-be/NOhis sonיְחִידוֹ׃ye/chi/DOonly

   Therefore, they must needs be chastened and tried, even as Abraham, who was commanded to offer up his only son.

   כִּיkiforכֹלkholallאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthose whoלֹאlonotיִשְׂאוּyis/Uwill endureמוּסָרmu/SARchasteningוִיכַחֲשׁוּvi/kha/cha/SHUbut denyבִיvimeלֹאlonotיוּכְלוּyukh/LUcanלְהִתְקַדֵּשׁ׃le/hit/kad/DESHbe sanctified

   For all those who will not endure chastening, but deny me, cannot be sanctified.

   הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youהָיוּha/YUthere wereבֵינֵיהֶםve/ne/HEMamong themמְרִיבוֹתme/ri/VOTjarringsוּמַחֲלֹקוֹתu/ma/cha/lo/KOTand contentionsוְקִנְאוֹתve/kin/OTand envyingsוּמְדָנִיםu/me/da/NIMand strifesוְתַאֲווֹתve/ta/a/VOTand lustful desiresוּבֶצַעu/VE/tsaand covetousnessלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeטִמְּאוּtim/me/Uthey pollutedאֶת־נַחֲלוֹתֵיהֶםet-na/cha/lo/te/HEMtheir inheritancesבָאֵלֶּה׃va/el/LEby these things

   Behold, I say unto you, there were jarrings, and contentions, and envyings, and strifes, and lustful and covetous desires among them; therefore by these things they polluted their inheritances.

   קָשׁוּka/SHUthey were slowלִשְׁמֹעַlish/MO/ato hearkenבְּקוֹלbe/KOLunto the voiceיְהוָהAdonaiof the Lordאֱלֹהֵיהֶםe/lo/he/HEMtheir Godלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordאֱלֹהֵיהֶםe/lo/he/HEMtheir Godאָטֵםa/TEMis slowלִשְׁמֹעַlish/MO/ato hearkenתְּפִלּוֹתֵיהֶםte/fil/lo/te/HEMunto their prayersלַעֲנוֹתָםla/a/no/TAMto answer themבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the dayצָרָתָם׃tsa/ra/TAMof their trouble

   They were slow to hearken unto the voice of the Lord their God; therefore, the Lord their God is slow to hearken unto their prayers, to answer them in the day of their trouble.

   בִּימֵיbi/MEin the dayשְׁלוֹמָםshe/lo/MAMof their peaceהֵקַלּוּhe/KAL/luthey esteemed lightlyבַּעֲצָתִיba/a/tsa/TImy counselאַךְakhbutבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the dayצָרָתָםtsa/ra/TAMof their troubleבְּאֹנֶסbe/O/nesof necessityיְמַשְּׁשׁוּנִי׃ye/mash/she/shu/NIthey feel after me

   In the day of their peace they esteemed lightly my counsel; but, in the day of their trouble, of necessity they feel after me.

   אָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youעַלalnotwithstandingחַטֹּאתֵיהֶםchat/to/te/HEMtheir sinsמֵעַיme/AYmy bowelsמָלְאוּma/le/Uare filledרַחֲמִיםra/cha/MIMwith compassionעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMtowards themלֹאlonotאֶזְנָחֵםez/na/CHEMI will cast them offכָּלִילka/LILutterlyוּבְיוֹםu/ve/YOMand in the dayזַעַםZA/amof wrathאֶזְכֹּרez/KORI will rememberרַחֲמִים׃ra/cha/MIMmercy

   Verily I say unto you, notwithstanding their sins, my bowels are filled with compassion towards them. I will not utterly cast them off; and in the day of wrath I will remember mercy.

    נִשְׁבַּעְתִּיnish/BA/tiI sworeוְהַגְּזֵרָהve/hag/ge/ze/RAand the decreeיָצְאָהya/tse/Awent forthבְּמִצְוָהbe/mits/VAby a commandmentקֹדֶמֶתko/DE/metformerאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI gaveלָכֶםla/KHEMyouאֲשֶׁר־אַפִּילa/SHER-ap/PILthat I would let fallחֶרֶבCHE/revthe swordזַעְמִיza/MIof my indignationלְמַעַןle/MA/anin behalf ofעַמִּיam/MImy peopleוְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand even asאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI saidכֵּןkensoיִהְיֶה׃yih/YEit shall be

    I have sworn, and the decree hath gone forth by a former commandment which I have given unto you, that I would let fall the sword of mine indignation in behalf of my people; and even as I have said, it shall come to pass.

    זַעְמִיza/MImy indignationעוֹדodyetמְעַטme/ATsoonיִשָּׁפֵךְyish/sha/FEKHis to be poured outבְּלִיbe/LIwithoutמִדָּהmid/DAmeasureעַלaluponכׇּל־הַגּוֹיִםkol-hag/go/YIMall nationsוְאֶעֱשֶׂהve/e/e/SEand will I doכֵןkhenthisבִּמְלֹאתbim/LOTwhen is fullכּוֹסkosthe cupעֲוֹנָם׃a/vo/NAMof their iniquity

    Mine indignation is soon to be poured out without measure upon all nations; and this will I do when the cup of their iniquity is full.

    וּבַיּוֹםu/vay/YOMand in dayהַהוּאha/HUthatכׇּל־הַנִּמְצָאִיםkol-han/nim/tsa/IMall who are foundעַלaluponהַמִּצְפֶּהham/mits/PEthe watch-towerאוֹoorבְמִלִּיםve/mil/LIMin wordsאֲחֵרוֹתa/che/ROTotherכׇּל־יִשְׂרָאֵלkol-Yis/ra/ELall my Israelיִוָּשֵׁעַ׃yiv/va/SHE/ashall be saved

    And in that day all who are found upon the watch-tower, or in other words, all mine Israel, shall be saved.

13. 13

    וְהַנְּפוֹצִיםve/han/ne/fo/TSIMand they that have been scatteredיֵאָסֵפוּ׃ye/a/se/FUshall be gathered

    And they that have been scattered shall be gathered.

14. 14

    וְכׇל־הָאֲבֵלִיםve/KHOL-ha/a/ve/LIMand all they who mournedיְנֻחָמוּ׃ye/nu/cha/MUshall be comforted

    And all they who have mourned shall be comforted.

15. 15

    וְכׇל־אֲשֶׁרve/KHOL-a/SHERand all they whoנָתְנוּna/te/NUgaveנַפְשָׁםnaf/SHAMtheir livesלְמַעַןle/MA/anforשְׁמִיshe/MImy nameיֻכְתָּרוּ׃yukh/ta/RUshall be crowned

    And all they who have given their lives for my name shall be crowned.

16. 16

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeיִנָּחֵםyin/na/CHEMlet be comfortedלְבַבְכֶםle/vav/KHEMyour heartsעַלalconcerningצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONZionכִּיkiforכׇל־בָּשָׂרkhol-ba/SARall fleshבְּיָדַיbe/ya/DAYis in my handsהַרְפּוּhar/PUbe stillוּדְעוּu/de/Uand knowכִּי־אָנֹכִיki-a/no/KHIthat I amאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMGod

    Therefore, let your hearts be comforted concerning Zion; for all flesh is in mine hands; be still and know that I am God.

17. 17

    צִיּוֹןTsiy/YONZionלֹאlonotתִמּוֹטtim/MOTshall be movedמִמְּקוֹמָהּmim/me/ko/MAout of her placeאַףafnotwithstandingכִּיkithatבָנֶיהָva/NE/haher childrenנָפוֹצוּ׃na/fo/TSUare scattered

    Zion shall not be moved out of her place, notwithstanding her children are scattered.

18. 18

    הַנִּשְׁאָרִיםhan/nish/a/RIMthey that remainוּבְרֵיu/ve/REand are pure inלֵבָבle/VAVheartיָשׁוּבוּya/SHU/vushall returnוְיָבֹאוּve/ya/VO/uand comeאֶל־נַחֲלוֹתֵיהֶםel-na/cha/lo/te/HEMto their inheritancesהֵםhemtheyוּבְנֵיהֶםu/ve/ne/HEMand their childrenבְּשִׁירֵיbe/shi/REwith songsשִׂמְחַתsim/CHATof joyעוֹלָםo/LAMof everlastingלִבְנוֹתliv/NOTto build upחׇרְבוֹתchor/VOTthe waste placesצִיּוֹן׃Tsiy/YONof Zion

    They that remain, and are pure in heart, shall return, and come to their inheritances, they and their children, with songs of everlasting joy, to build up the waste places of Zion—

19. 19

    וְכׇל־אֵלֶּהve/KHOL-EL/leand all these thingsלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִתְקַיְּמוּyit/kay/ye/MUmight be fulfilledדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe wordsהַנְּבִיאִים׃han/ne/vi/IMof the prophets

    And all these things that the prophets might be fulfilled.

20. 20

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאֵיןenthere is noמָקוֹםma/KOMplaceאַחֵרa/CHERotherאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthan that whichמִנִּיתִיmin/ni/TII appointedזוּלָתִיzu/la/TIother thanאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat whichמִנִּיתִיmin/ni/TII appointedוְלֹאve/LOneitherיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall there beמָקוֹםma/KOMany placeאַחֵרa/CHERotherלְמַעֲשֵׂהle/ma/a/SEfor the workקִבּוּץkib/BUTSof the gatheringקְדוֹשָׁי׃ke/do/SHAYof my saints

    And, behold, there is none other place appointed than that which I have appointed; neither shall there be any other place appointed than that which I have appointed, for the work of the gathering of my saints—

21. 21

    עַדaduntilיָבוֹאya/VOcomesהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenלֹאlonotיִמָּצֵאyim/ma/TSEthere is foundעוֹדodmoreמָקוֹםma/KOMroomלָהֶםla/HEMfor themוְאָזve/AZand thenיֶשׁ־לִיyesh-lihave Iמְקוֹמוֹתme/ko/MOTplacesאֲחֵרִיםa/che/RIMotherאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאֲמַנֶּהa/man/NEI will appointלָהֶםla/HEMunto themוְיִקָּרְאוּve/yik/ka/re/Uand they shall be calledיְתֵדוֹתye/te/DOTstakesלִירִיעוֹתli/ri/OTfor the curtainsאוֹoorלְעֹזle/OZthe strengthצִיּוֹן׃Tsiy/YONof Zion

    Until the day cometh when there is found no more room for them; and then I have other places which I will appoint unto them, and they shall be called stakes, for the curtains or the strength of Zion.

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdרְצוֹנִיre/tso/NIit is my willאֲשֶׁר־כֹּלa/SHER-kolthat all theyהַקּוֹרְאִיםhak/kor/IMwho callבִּשְׁמִיbish/MIon my nameוְעוֹבְדִיםve/ov/DIMand worshipאוֹתִיo/TImeכְּפִיke/FIaccording toבְשׂוֹרָתִיve/so/ra/TImy gospelאֲשֶׁר־לְעוֹלָםa/SHER-le/o/LAMeverlastingיֵאָסְפוּye/a/se/FUshould gatherיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherוְיַעַמְדוּve/ya/am/DUand standבִּמְקוֹמוֹתbim/ko/MOTin placesקְדוֹשִׁים׃ke/do/SHIMholy

    Behold, it is my will, that all they who call on my name, and worship me according to mine everlasting gospel, should gather together, and stand in holy places;

    וְיִתְכּוֹנְנוּve/yit/kon/NUand prepareלַגִּלּוּיlag/gil/LUYfor the revelationהָעָתִידha/a/TIDwhich is toלָבוֹאla/VOcomeכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenיוּסַרyu/SARshall be taken offפָּרֹכֶתpa/RO/khetthe veilמָסַךְma/SAKHof the coveringהֵיכָלִיhe/kha/LIof my templeבְּמִשְׁכָּנִיbe/mish/ka/NIin my tabernacleהַמְּכַסֶּהham/me/khas/SEwhich hidesאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe earthוְכׇל־בָּשָׂרve/KHOL-ba/SARand all fleshיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherיִרְאֵנִי׃yir/e/NIshall see me

    And prepare for the revelation which is to come, when the veil of the covering of my temple, in my tabernacle, which hideth the earth, shall be taken off, and all flesh shall see me together.

24. 24

    וְכׇל־דָּבָרve/KHOL-da/VARand every thingנִפְסָדnif/SADcorruptibleבֵּיןbenbothמֵאָדָםme/a/DAMof manבֵּיןbenorמִבֶּהֱמַתmib/be/he/MATof the beastsהַשָּׂדֶהhas/sa/DEof the fieldבֵּיןbenorמֵעוֹףme/OFof the fowlsהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimof the heavensבֵּיןbenorמִדְּגַתmid/de/GATof the fishהַיָּםhay/YAMof the seaהַשּׁוֹכֵןhash/sho/KHENthat dwellsעַלaluponכׇּל־פְּנֵיkol-pe/NEall the faceהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthיִכְלֶה׃yikh/LEshall be consumed

    And every corruptible thing, both of man, or of the beasts of the field, or of the fowls of the heavens, or of the fish of the sea, that dwells upon all the face of the earth, shall be consumed;

25. 25

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoהַיְסֹדוֹתhay/so/DOTthe elementsיִמַּסּוּyim/mas/SUshall meltבְחֹםve/CHOMwith heatלוֹהֵטlo/HETferventוְכׇל־הַדְּבָרִיםve/KHOL-had/de/va/RIMand all thingsיִתְחַדְּשׁוּyit/chad/de/SHUshall become newלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתִּשְׁכֹּןtish/KONmay dwellדַּעְתִּיda/TImy knowledgeוּכְבוֹדִיu/khe/vo/DIand gloryעַלaluponכׇּל־הָאָרֶץ׃kol-ha/a/RETSall the earth

    And also that of element shall melt with fervent heat; and all things shall become new, that my knowledge and glory may dwell upon all the earth.

26. 26

    וּבַיּוֹםu/vay/YOMand in dayהַהוּאha/HUthatאֵיבַתe/VATthe enmityאָדָםa/DAMof manוְאֵיבַתve/e/VATand the enmityהַבְּהֵמוֹתhab/be/he/MOTof beastsאָכֵןa/KHENyeaאֵיבַתe/VATthe enmityכׇּל־בָּשָׂרkol-ba/SARof all fleshתִּשְׁבֹּתtish/BOTshall ceaseמִלְּפָנָי׃mil/le/fa/NAYfrom before my face

    And in that day the enmity of man, and the enmity of beasts, yea, the enmity of all flesh, shall cease from before my face.

27. 27

    וּבַיּוֹםu/vay/YOMand in dayהַהוּאha/HUthatכֹּלkolwhatsoeverאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיִשְׁאַלyish/ALshall askאִישׁishany manיִנָּתֶןyin/NA/tenit shall be givenלוֹ׃lohim

    And in that day whatsoever any man shall ask, it shall be given unto him.

28. 28

    וּבַיּוֹםu/vay/YOMand in dayהַהוּאha/HUthatהַשָּׂטָןHas/sa/TANSatanלֹאlonotיִהְיֶה־לוֹyih/YE-loshall haveכֹחַKHO/achpowerלְנַסּוֹתle/nas/SOTto temptאִישׁ׃ishany man

    And in that day Satan shall not have power to tempt any man.

29. 29

    וְלֹאve/LOand noיִהְיֶהyih/YEthere shall beיָגוֹןya/GONsorrowכִּיkibecauseאֵיןenthere is noמָוֶת׃ma/VETdeath

    And there shall be no sorrow because there is no death.

30. 30

    בַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin dayהַהוּאha/HUthatלֹאlonotיָמוּתya/MUTshall dieעוֹלָלo/LALan infantעַדaduntilיִזְקַןyiz/KANhe is oldוְחַיָּיוve/chay/YAYVand his lifeיִהְיוּyih/YUshall beכִּימֵיki/MEas the ageעֵץ׃etsof a tree

    In that day an infant shall not die until he is old; and his life shall be as the age of a tree;

31. 31

    וּבְמוֹתוֹu/ve/mo/TOand when he diesלֹאlonotיִישַׁןyi/SHANhe shall sleepלֵאמֹרle/MORthat is to sayבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the earthכִּי־אִםki-imbutיְשֻׁנֶּהye/shun/NEshall be changedכְּהֶרֶףke/HE/refin the twinklingעַיִןA/yinof an eyeוְיִלָּקַחve/yil/la/KACHand shall be caught upוּמְנוּחָתוֹu/me/nu/cha/TOand his restתִּהְיֶהtih/YEshall beכָבוֹד׃kha/VODglorious

    And when he dies he shall not sleep, that is to say in the earth, but shall be changed in the twinkling of an eye, and shall be caught up, and his rest shall be glorious.

32. 32

    אָכֵןa/KHENyeaאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin dayהַהוּאha/HUthatכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenיָבוֹאya/VOshall comeיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordיְגַלֶּהye/gal/LEhe shall revealכֹּל׃kolall things

    Yea, verily I say unto you, in that day when the Lord shall come, he shall reveal all things—

33. 33

    דְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMthingsאֲשֶׁר־עָבְרוּa/SHER-a/ve/RUwhich passedוְנִסְתָּרוֹתve/nis/ta/ROTand hidden thingsאֲשֶׁר־לֹאa/SHER-lowhich notיְדָעָםye/da/AMknew themאִישׁishany manדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthingsהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthאֲשֶׁר־בָּםa/SHER-bamby whichנֶעֶשְׂתָהne/es/TAit was madeוְתַכְלִיתָהּve/takh/li/TAand the purposeוְקִצָּהּ׃ve/kits/TSAand the end thereof

    Things which have passed, and hidden things which no man knew, things of the earth, by which it was made, and the purpose and the end thereof—

34. 34

    דְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMthingsיְקָרִיםye/ka/RIMpreciousמְאֹדme/ODmostדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMthingsאֲשֶׁר־לְמַעְלָהa/SHER-le/MA/lathat are aboveוּדְבָרִיםu/de/va/RIMand thingsאֲשֶׁר־לְמַטָּהa/SHER-le/MAT/tathat are beneathדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMthingsבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsthat are in the earthוְעַלve/ALand uponהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthוּבַשָּׁמָיִם׃u/vash/sha/ma/YIMand in heaven

    Things most precious, things that are above, and things that are beneath, things that are in the earth, and upon the earth, and in heaven.

35. 35

    וְכׇל־הַסּוֹבְלִיםve/KHOL-has/sov/LIMand all they who sufferרְדִיפָהre/di/FApersecutionלְמַעַןle/MA/anforשְׁמִיshe/MImy nameוּמַחֲזִיקִיםu/ma/cha/zi/KIMand endureבֶּאֱמוּנָהbe/e/mu/NAin faithאַףafthoughאִםimthatנִקְרָאִיםnik/ra/IMthey are calledלְהַנִּיחַle/han/NI/achto lay downנַפְשָׁםnaf/SHAMtheir livesלְמַעֲנִיle/ma/a/NIfor my sakeיִתְחַלְּקוּyit/chal/le/KUyet shall they partakeבְּכׇל־הַכָּבוֹדbe/KHOL-hak/ka/VODof all gloryהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    And all they who suffer persecution for my name, and endure in faith, though they are called to lay down their lives for my sake yet shall they partake of all this glory.

36. 36

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeאַל־תִּירְאוּal-ti/re/Ufear notעַדadeven untoמָוֶתMA/vetdeathכִּיkiforבָעוֹלָםva/o/LAMin worldהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisשִׂמְחַתְכֶםsim/chat/KHEMyour joyאֵינָהּe/NAis notשְׁלֵמָהshe/le/MAfullאַךְakhbutבִּיbiin meשִׂמְחַתְכֶםsim/chat/KHEMyour joyשְׁלֵמָה׃she/le/MAis full

    Wherefore, fear not even unto death; for in this world your joy is not full, but in me your joy is full.

37. 37

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeאַל־תִּדְאֲגוּal-tid/a/GUcare notלַגּוּףlag/GUFfor the bodyוְלֹאve/LOneitherלְחַיֵּיle/chay/YEthe lifeהַגּוּףhag/GUFof the bodyכִּי־אִםki-imbutדַּאֲגוּda/a/GUcareלַנֶּפֶשׁlan/NE/feshfor the soulוּלְחַיֵּיu/le/chay/YEand for the lifeהַנֶּפֶשׁ׃han/ne/FESHof the soul

    Therefore, care not for the body, neither the life of the body; but care for the soul, and for the life of the soul.

38. 38

    וּבַקְּשׁוּu/vak/ke/SHUand seekפְּנֵיpe/NEthe faceיְהוָהAdonaiof the Lordתָּמִידta/MIDalwaysלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatבְּתוֹחַלְתְּכֶםbe/to/chal/te/KHEMin your patienceתִּקְנוּtik/NUyou may possessנַפְשׁוֹתֵיכֶםnaf/sho/te/KHEMyour soulsוְיִהְיוּve/yih/YUand you shall haveלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youחַיֵּיchay/YElifeעוֹלָם׃o/LAMeternal

    And seek the face of the Lord always, that in patience ye may possess your souls, and ye shall have eternal life.

39. 39

    כַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenנִקְרָאִיםnik/ra/IMare calledאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenלִבְשׂוֹרָתִיliv/so/ra/TIunto mine gospelאֲשֶׁר־לְעוֹלָםa/SHER-le/o/LAMeverlastingוְכוֹרְתִיםve/khor/TIMand covenantבְּרִית־עוֹלָםbe/RIT-o/LAMwith an everlasting covenantנֶחְשָׁבִיםnech/sha/VIMthey are accountedלְמֶלַחle/ME/lachas the saltהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthוְטַעַםve/TA/amand the savorבְּנֵיbe/NEof the sonsאָדָם׃a/DAMof men

    When men are called unto mine everlasting gospel, and covenant with an everlasting covenant, they are accounted as the salt of the earth and the savor of men;

40. 40

    נִקְרָאִיםnik/ra/IMthey are calledלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beטַעַםTA/amthe savorלִבְנֵיliv/NEof the sonsאָדָםa/DAMof menלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeאִםimifמֶלַחME/lachsaltהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthיָפוּגya/FUGloseטַעְמוֹta/MOits savorהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdמֵאָזme/AZit is thenceforthאֵינוֹe/NOnotטוֹבtovgoodלִמְאוּמָהlim/U/mafor nothingכִּי־אִםki-imonlyלְהִשָּׁלֵךְle/hish/sha/LEKHto be castחוּצָהCHU/tsaoutוְלִהְיוֹתve/lih/YOTand to beמִרְמָסmir/MAStroddenתַּחַתTA/chatunderרַגְלֵיrag/LEthe feetבְּנֵיbe/NEof the sonsאָדָם׃a/DAMof men

    They are called to be the savor of men; therefore, if that salt of the earth lose its savor, behold, it is thenceforth good for nothing only to be cast out and trodden under the feet of men.

41. 41

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdפֹּהpohere isחׇכְמָהchokh/MAwisdomעַלalconcerningבְּנֵיbe/NEthe childrenצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONof Zionגַּםgamevenרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyאַךְakhbutלֹאlonotכֻלָּםkhul/LAMallנִמְצְאוּnim/tse/Uthey were foundפּוֹשְׁעִיםposh/IMtransgressorsלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeהִוָּסֵרhiv/va/SERthey must needsיִוָּסְרוּ׃yiv/va/se/RUbe chastened

    Behold, here is wisdom concerning the children of Zion, even many, but not all; they were found transgressors, therefore they must needs be chastened—

42. 42

    הַמִּתְנַשֵּׂאham/mit/nas/SEhe that exalts himselfיִשְׁפַּלyish/PALshall be abasedוְהַמַּשְׁפִּילve/ham/mash/PILand he that abasesנַפְשׁוֹnaf/SHOhimselfיְרוֹמָם׃ye/ro/MAMshall be exalted

    He that exalteth himself shall be abased, and he that abaseth himself shall be exalted.

43. 43

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאַרְאֶכֶםar/e/KHEMI will show youמָשָׁלma/SHALa parableלָדַעַתla/DA/atthat you may knowרְצוֹנִיre/tso/NImy willעַלalconcerningגְּאֻלַּתge/ul/LATthe redemptionצִיּוֹן׃Tsiy/YONof Zion

    And now, I will show unto you a parable, that you may know my will concerning the redemption of Zion.

44. 44

    אָדוֹןa/DONnoblemanאֶחָדe/CHADa certainהָיָהha/YAhadלוֹloto himחֶלְקַתchel/KATa spotאֲדָמָהa/da/MAof landנֶחְמָדָהnech/ma/DAchoiceמְאֹדme/ODveryוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidלַעֲבָדָיוla/a/va/DAYVunto his servantsלְכוּle/KHUgoאֶל־כַּרְמִיel-kar/MIunto my vineyardגַּםgamevenעַלaluponהַחֶלְקָהha/chel/KApiece of landהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisהַנֶּחְמָדָהhan/nech/ma/DAchoiceמְאֹדme/ODveryוְנִטְעוּve/nit/Uand plantשְׁנֵים־עָשָׂרshe/NEM-a/SARtwelveעֲצֵיa/TSEtreesזַיִת׃za/YITof olive

    A certain nobleman had a spot of land, very choice; and he said unto his servants: Go ye unto my vineyard, even upon this very choice piece of land, and plant twelve olive trees;

45. 45

    וְהַעֲמִידוּve/ha/a/mi/DUand setשׁוֹמְרִיםshom/RIMwatchmenסָבִיבsa/VIVround about themוּבְנוּu/ve/NUand buildמִגְדָּלmig/DALa towerלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיַשְׁקִיףyash/KIFmay overlookאֶחָדe/CHADoneעַלaluponהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landמִסָּבִיבmis/sa/VIVround aboutלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beצוֹפֶהtso/FEa watchmanעַלaluponהַמִּגְדָּלham/mig/DALthe towerלְבַלle/VALthat notיִשָּׁבְרוּyish/sha/ve/RUmay be broken downזֵיתַיze/TAYmy olive treesבְּבוֹאbe/VOwhen shall comeהָאוֹיֵבha/o/YEVthe enemyלְהַשְׁחִיתle/hash/CHITto spoilוְלָקַחַתve/la/KA/chatand take upon themselvesפְּרִיpe/RIthe fruitכַּרְמִי׃kar/MIof my vineyard

    And set watchmen round about them, and build a tower, that one may overlook the land round about, to be a watchman upon the tower, that mine olive trees may not be broken down when the enemy shall come to spoil and take upon themselves the fruit of my vineyard.

46. 46

    וְעַבְדֵיve/av/DEnow the servantsהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONof the noblemanהָלְכוּha/le/KHUwentוַיַּעֲשׂוּvay/ya/a/SUand didכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּםtsiv/VAMcommanded themאֲדוֹנֵיהֶםa/do/ne/HEMtheir lordוַיִּטְּעוּvay/yit/te/Uand plantedעֲצֵיa/TSEtreesהַזַּיִתhaz/ZA/yitthe oliveוַיִּבְנוּvay/yiv/NUand builtמְשׂוּכָהme/su/KHAa hedgeסָבִיבsa/VIVround aboutוַיַּעֲמִידוּvay/ya/a/MI/duand setשׁוֹמְרִיםshom/RIMwatchmenוַיָּחֵלּוּvay/ya/CHEL/luand beganלִבְנוֹתliv/NOTto buildמִגְדָּל׃mig/DALa tower

    Now, the servants of the nobleman went and did as their lord commanded them, and planted the olive trees, and built a hedge round about, and set watchmen, and began to build a tower.

47. 47

    וְעוֹדָםve/o/DAMand while they were yetמְיַסְּדִיםme/yas/se/DIMlayingיְסוֹדוֹye/so/DOthe foundation thereofהֵחֵלּוּhe/CHEL/luthey beganלֵאמֹרle/MORto sayבֵּינֵיהֶםbe/ne/HEMamong themselvesמַה־צֹּרֶךְma-TSO/rekhwhat needלַאֲדוֹנִיla/a/do/NIhas my lordבַּמִּגְדָּלbam/mig/DALof towerהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    And while they were yet laying the foundation thereof, they began to say among themselves: And what need hath my lord of this tower?

48. 48

    וַיִּתְיָעֲצוּvay/yit/ya/a/TSUand consultedיָמִיםya/MIMfor daysרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingבֵּינֵיהֶםbe/ne/HEMamong themselvesמַה־צֹּרֶךְma-TSO/rekhwhat needלַאֲדוֹנִיla/a/do/NIhas my lordבַּמִּגְדָּלbam/mig/DALof towerהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisהֲלֹאha/LOseeingעֵתeta timeשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMof peaceהִיא׃hithis is

    And consulted for a long time, saying among themselves: What need hath my lord of this tower, seeing this is a time of peace?

49. 49

    הֲלֹאha/LOmight notיִנָּתֵןyin/na/TENbe givenהַכֶּסֶףhak/KE/sefmoneyהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisלַשֻּׁלְחָנִיםlash/shul/cha/NIMto the exchangersכִּיkiforאֵיןenthere is noצֹרֶךְTSO/rekhneedבָּאֵלֶּה׃ba/el/LEof these things

    Might not this money be given to the exchangers? For there is no need of these things.

50. 50

    וּבְרִיבָםu/ve/ri/VAMand while they stroveזֶהzeoneעִםimwithזֶהzeanotherנַעֲשׂוּna/a/SUthey becameעֲצֵלִיםa/tse/LIMslothfulמְאֹדme/ODveryוְלֹאve/LOand notשָׁמְעוּsha/me/Uthey hearkenedבְּמִצְוֹתbe/mits/VOTunto the commandmentsאֲדוֹנֵיהֶם׃a/do/ne/HEMof their lord

    And while they were at variance one with another they became very slothful, and they hearkened not unto the commandments of their lord.

51. 51

    וַיָּבֹאvay/ya/VOand cameהָאוֹיֵבha/o/YEVthe enemyבַּלַּיְלָהbal/LAY/laby nightוַיִּפְרֹץvay/yif/ROTSand broke downאֶת־הַמְּשׂוּכָהet-ham/me/su/KHAthe hedgeוְעַבְדֵיve/av/DEand the servantsהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONof the noblemanקָמוּKA/muaroseוַיִּבָּהֲלוּvay/yib/ba/ha/LUand were affrightedוַיָּנֻסוּvay/ya/NU/suand fledוְהָאוֹיֵבve/ha/o/YEVand the enemyהִשְׁחִיתhish/CHITdestroyedמַעֲשֵׂיהֶםma/a/se/HEMtheir worksוַיְשַׁבֵּרvay/shab/BERand broke downאֶת־עֲצֵיet-a/TSEthe treesהַזַּיִת׃haz/za/YITolive

    And the enemy came by night, and broke down the hedge; and the servants of the nobleman arose and were affrighted, and fled; and the enemy destroyed their works, and broke down the olive trees.

52. 52

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEnow beholdהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe noblemanבַּעַלBA/althe lordהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardקָרָאka/RAcalledלַעֲבָדָיוla/a/va/DAYVupon his servantsוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidלָהֶםla/HEMunto themמַה־זֹּאתma-zotwhyמָהmawhat isסִבַּתsib/BATthe causeהָרָעָהha/ra/Aof evilהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAgreatהַזֹּאת׃haz/ZOTthis

    Now, behold, the nobleman, the lord of the vineyard, called upon his servants, and said unto them, Why! what is the cause of this great evil?

53. 53

    הֲלֹאha/LOought notעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMyouלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto have doneכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHEReven asצִוִּיתִיכֶםtsiv/vi/ti/KHEMI commanded youוְאַחֲרֵיve/a/cha/REand afterנׇטְעֲכֶםnot/a/KHEMyou plantedהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remthe vineyardוּבְנוֹתְכֶםu/ve/not/KHEMand builtהַמְּשׂוּכָהham/me/su/KHAthe hedgeסָבִיבsa/VIVround aboutוּלְהַעֲמִידu/le/ha/a/MIDand setשׁוֹמְרִיםshom/RIMwatchmenעַלaluponחוֹמוֹתָיוcho/mo/TAYVthe walls thereofלִבְנוֹתliv/NOTbuiltגַּםgamalsoהַמִּגְדָּלham/mig/DALthe towerוּלְהַעֲמִידu/le/ha/a/MIDand setצוֹפֶהtso/FEa watchmanעַלaluponהַמִּגְדָּלham/mig/DALthe towerוְלִשְׁמֹרve/lish/MORand watchedעַלalforכַּרְמִיkar/MImy vineyardוְלֹאve/LOand notלְהֵרָדֵםle/he/ra/DEMfell asleepפֶּןpenlestיָבֹאya/VOshould comeהָאוֹיֵבha/o/YEVthe enemyעֲלֵיכֶם׃a/le/KHEMupon you

    Ought ye not to have done even as I commanded you, and—after ye had planted the vineyard, and built the hedge round about, and set watchmen upon the walls thereof—built the tower also, and set a watchman upon the tower, and watched for my vineyard, and not have fallen asleep, lest the enemy should come upon you?

54. 54

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdהַצּוֹפֶהhats/tso/FEthe watchmanעַלaluponהַמִּגְדָּלham/mig/DALthe towerהָיָהha/YAwould haveרוֹאֶהro/Eseenאֶת־הָאוֹיֵבet-ha/o/YEVthe enemyבְּעוֹדוֹbe/o/DOwhile he was yetרָחוֹקra/CHOKafar offוְאָזve/AZand thenיְכָלְתֶּםye/khal/TEMyou could haveלְהִתְכּוֹנֵןle/hit/ko/NENmade readyוְלִמְנֹעַve/lim/NO/aand keptאֶת־הָאוֹיֵבet-ha/o/YEVthe enemyמִלִּפְרֹץmil/lif/ROTSfrom breaking downהַמְּשׂוּכָהham/me/su/KHAthe hedge thereofוּלְהַצִּילu/le/hats/TSILand savedכַּרְמִיkar/MImy vineyardמִיְּדֵיmiy/ye/DEfrom the handsהַמַּשְׁחִית׃ham/mash/CHITof the destroyer

    And behold, the watchman upon the tower would have seen the enemy while he was yet afar off; and then ye could have made ready and kept the enemy from breaking down the hedge thereof, and saved my vineyard from the hands of the destroyer.

55. 55

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲדוֹןa/DONthe lordהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardלְאֶחָדle/e/CHADunto oneמֵעֲבָדָיוme/a/va/DAYVof his servantsלֵךְlekhgoוֶאֱסֹףve/e/SOFand gather togetherשְׁאָרshe/ARthe residueעֲבָדַיa/va/DAYof my servantsוְקַחve/KACHand takeאֶת־כׇּל־עֹזet-kol-ozall the strengthבֵּיתִיbe/TIof my houseהֵםhemwhich areגִּבּוֹרַיgib/bo/RAYmy warriorsבַּחוּרַיba/chu/RAYmy young menוְגַםve/GAMand alsoבֵּינוֹנַיbe/no/NAYthey that are of middle ageמִכׇּל־עֲבָדַיmik/KOL-a/va/DAYamong all my servantsעֹזozwho are the strengthבֵּיתִיbe/TIof my houseלְבַדle/VADsaveאֵלֶּהEL/lethose onlyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomמִנִּיתִיmin/ni/TII appointedלְהִשָּׁאֵר׃le/hish/sha/ERto tarry

    And the lord of the vineyard said unto one of his servants: Go and gather together the residue of my servants, and take all the strength of mine house, which are my warriors, my young men, and they that are of middle age also among all my servants, who are the strength of mine house, save those only whom I have appointed to tarry;

56. 56

    וּלְכוּu/le/KHUand goיָשָׁרya/SHARstraightwayאֶל־אֶרֶץel-E/retsunto the landכַּרְמִיkar/MIof my vineyardוּגְאָלוּu/ge/a/LUand redeemכַּרְמִיkar/MImy vineyardכִּיkiforלִיlimineהוּאhuit isקְנִיתִיוke/ni/TIVI bought itבְּכֶסֶף׃be/khe/SEFwith money

    And go ye straightway unto the land of my vineyard, and redeem my vineyard; for it is mine; I have bought it with money.

57. 57

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeלְכוּle/KHUgetיָשָׁרya/SHARstraightwayאֶל־אַרְצִיel-ar/TSIunto my landשִׁבְרוּshiv/RUbreak downחוֹמוֹתcho/MOTthe wallsאֹיְבַיoy/VAYof my enemiesהִפְכוּhif/KHUthrow downמִגְדָּלָםmig/da/LAMtheir towerוּפַזְּרוּu/faz/ze/RUand scatterאֶת־צוֹפֵיהֶם׃et-tso/fe/HEMtheir watchmen

    Therefore, get ye straightway unto my land; break down the walls of mine enemies; throw down their tower, and scatter their watchmen.

58. 58

    וּכְפִיu/khe/FIand inasmuch asאֲשֶׁר־יֵאָסְפוּa/SHER-ye/a/se/FUthey gather togetherעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMagainst youהִנָּקְמוּhin/NAK/muavengeלִיlimeמֵאֹיְבַיme/oy/VAYof my enemiesלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatבְּקָרוֹבbe/ka/ROVby and byאָבוֹאa/VOI may comeעִםimwithשְׁאָרshe/ARthe residueבֵּיתִיbe/TIof my houseוְאִירַשׁve/i/RASHand possessאֶת־הָאָרֶץ׃et-ha/a/RETSthe land

    And inasmuch as they gather together against you, avenge me of mine enemies, that by and by I may come with the residue of mine house and possess the land.

59. 59

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidהָעֶבֶדha/E/vedthe servantלַאֲדוֹנוֹla/a/do/NOunto his lordמָתַיma/TAYwhenיִהְיוּyih/YUshall beהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthingsהָאֵלֶּה׃ha/el/LEthese

    And the servant said unto his lord: When shall these things be?

60. 60

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidלְעַבְדּוֹle/av/DOunto his servantכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenאֶחְפֹּץech/POTSI willלְכוּle/KHUgoיָשָׁרya/SHARstraightwayוַעֲשׂוּva/a/SUand doכֹּלkolall thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhatsoeverצִוִּיתִיכֶם׃tsiv/vi/ti/KHEMI commanded you

    And he said unto his servant: When I will; go ye straightway, and do all things whatsoever I have commanded you;

61. 61

    וְזֶהve/ZEand thisיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beחוֹתָמִיcho/ta/MImy sealוּבִרְכָתִיu/vir/kha/TIand blessingעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMupon youסֹכֵןso/KHENa stewardנֶאֱמָןne/e/MANfaithfulוְנָבוֹןve/na/VONand wiseבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofבֵּיתִיbe/TImy houseמוֹשֵׁלmo/SHELa rulerבְּמַלְכוּתִי׃be/mal/khu/TIin my kingdom

    And this shall be my seal and blessing upon you—a faithful and wise steward in the midst of mine house, a ruler in my kingdom.

62. 62

    וְעַבְדּוֹve/av/DOand his servantהָלַךְha/LAKHwentיָשָׁרya/SHARstraightwayוַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand didכֹּלkolall thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhatsoeverצִוָּהוּtsiv/VA/hucommanded himאֲדוֹנוֹa/do/NOhis lordוְאַחַרve/a/CHARand afterיָמִיםya/MIMdaysרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyנִתְקַיְּמוּnit/kay/ye/MUwere fulfilledהַכֹּל׃hak/KOLall things

    And his servant went straightway, and did all things whatsoever his lord commanded him; and after many days all things were fulfilled.

63. 63

    עוֹדodagainאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youאַרְאֶכֶםar/e/KHEMI will show youחׇכְמָהchokh/MAwisdomבִּיbiin meעַלalconcerningכׇּל־הַכְּנֵסִיּוֹתkol-hak/ke/ne/siy/YOTall the churchesכְּפִיke/FIinasmuch asאֲשֶׁר־הֵםa/SHER-hemthey areרוֹצִיםro/TSIMwillingלְהִנָּהֵגle/hin/na/HEGto be guidedבְּדֶרֶךְbe/DE/rekhin a wayנְכוֹנָהne/kho/NArightוּרְאוּיָהu/re/u/YAand properלִישׁוּעָתָם׃li/shu/a/TAMfor their salvation

    Again, verily I say unto you, I will show unto you wisdom in me concerning all the churches, inasmuch as they are willing to be guided in a right and proper way for their salvation—

64. 64

    לְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִמָּשֵׁךְyim/ma/SHEKHmay continueמַעֲשֵׂהma/a/SEthe workקִבּוּץkib/BUTSof the gathering togetherקְדוֹשַׁיke/do/SHAYof my saintsלִבְנוֹתָםliv/no/TAMthat I may build them upלִשְׁמִיlish/MIunto my nameעַלaluponמְקוֹמוֹתme/ko/MOTplacesקֹדֶשׁKO/deshholyכִּיkiforבָאָהva/Ais comeעֵתetthe timeהַקָּצִירhak/ka/TSIRof harvestוּדְבָרִיu/de/va/RIand my wordקוֹםkommust needsיָקוּם׃ya/KUMbe fulfilled

    That the work of the gathering together of my saints may continue, that I may build them up unto my name upon holy places; for the time of harvest is come, and my word must needs be fulfilled.

65. 65

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeעָלַיa/LAYI mustלְקַבֵּץle/kab/BETSgather togetherעַמִּיam/MImy peopleכִּמְשַׁלkim/SHALaccording to the parableהַחִטָּהha/chit/TAof the wheatוְהַזּוּנִיןve/haz/zu/NINand the taresלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתֵּאָסֵףte/a/SEFmay be securedהַחִטָּהha/chit/TAthe wheatלָאֲסָמִיםla/a/sa/MIMin the garnersלָרֶשֶׁתla/RE/shetto possessחַיֵּיchay/YElifeעוֹלָםo/LAMeternalוּלְהֵעָטֵרu/le/he/a/TERand be crownedבִּכְבוֹדbikh/VODwith gloryשְׁמֵימִיshe/me/MIcelestialבְּבוֹאִיbe/vo/Iwhen I shall comeבְּמַלְכוּתbe/mal/KHUTin the kingdomאָבִיA/VIof my Fatherלְשַׁלֵּםle/shal/LEMto rewardלְכׇל־אִישׁle/KHOL-ishevery manכְּמַעֲשֵׂהוּ׃ke/ma/a/se/HUaccording as his work shall be

    Therefore, I must gather together my people, according to the parable of the wheat and the tares, that the wheat may be secured in the garners to possess eternal life, and be crowned with celestial glory, when I shall come in the kingdom of my Father to reward every man according as his work shall be;

    וְהַזּוּנִיןve/haz/zu/NINwhile the taresיֵאָסְרוּye/a/se/RUshall be boundבַּאֲלֻמּוֹתba/a/lum/MOTin bundlesוּמוֹסְרוֹתֵיהֶםu/mos/ro/te/HEMand their bandsיְחֻזָּקוּye/chuz/za/KUmade strongלְהִשָּׂרֵףle/his/sa/REFthat they may be burnedבְּאֵשׁbe/ESHwith fireלֹאlonotתִכְבֶּה׃tikh/BEunquenchable

    While the tares shall be bound in bundles, and their bands made strong, that they may be burned with unquenchable fire.

67. 67

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeמִצְוָהmits/VAa commandmentנוֹתֵןno/TENI giveלְכׇל־הַכְּנֵסִיּוֹתle/KHOL-hak/ke/ne/siy/YOTunto all the churchesאֲשֶׁר־יוֹסִיפוּa/SHER-yo/SI/futhat they shall continueלְהֵאָסֵףle/he/a/SEFto gather togetherאֶל־הַמְּקוֹמוֹתel-ham/me/ko/MOTunto the placesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichמִנִּיתִי׃min/ni/TII appointed

    Therefore, a commandment I give unto all the churches, that they shall continue to gather together unto the places which I have appointed.

    Nevertheless, as I have said unto you in a former commandment, let not your gathering be in haste, nor by flight; but let all things be prepared before you.

    And in order that all things be prepared before you, observe the commandment which I have given concerning these things—

    אֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאוֹמֶרֶתo/ME/retsaysאוֹoorמְלַמֶּדֶתme/lam/ME/detteachesלִקְנוֹתlik/NOTto purchaseכׇּל־הָאֲרָצוֹתkol-ha/a/ra/TSOTall the landsבְּכֶסֶףbe/KHE/sefwith moneyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיְכוֹלוֹתye/kho/LOTcan beלְהִקָּנוֹתle/hik/ka/NOTpurchasedבְּכֶסֶףbe/KHE/seffor moneyבַּסְּבִיבוֹתbas/se/vi/VOTin the region round aboutהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichמִנִּיתִיmin/ni/TII appointedלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beאֶרֶץE/retsthe landצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONof Zionלִתְחִלַּתlit/chil/LATfor the beginningקִבּוּץkib/BUTSof the gatheringקְדוֹשָׁי׃ke/do/SHAYof my saints

    Which saith, or teacheth, to purchase all the lands with money, which can be purchased for money, in the region round about the land which I have appointed to be the land of Zion, for the beginning of the gathering of my saints;

    All the land which can be purchased in Jackson county, and the counties round about, and leave the residue in mine hand.

    Now, verily I say unto you, let all the churches gather together all their moneys; let these things be done in their time, but not in haste; and observe to have all things prepared before you.

    וְיִמָּנוּve/yim/ma/NUand let be appointedאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenנִכְבָּדִיםnikh/ba/DIMhonorableגַּםgamevenחֲכָמִיםcha/kha/MIMwise menוְיִשָּׁלְחוּve/yish/sha/le/CHUand sendלִקְנוֹתlik/NOTto purchaseהָאֲרָצוֹתha/a/ra/TSOTlandsהָאֵלֶּה׃ha/el/LEthese

    And let honorable men be appointed, even wise men, and send them to purchase these lands.

74. 74

    וְהַכְּנֵסִיּוֹתve/hak/ke/ne/siy/YOTand the churchesבְּאַרְצוֹתbe/ar/TSOTin the countriesהַמִּזְרָחham/miz/RACHof the eastכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERwhenיִבָּנוּyib/ba/NUthey are built upאִםimifיִשְׁמְעוּyish/me/Uthey will hearkenלָעֵצָהla/e/TSAunto counselהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisיוּכְלוּyukh/LUthey mayלִקְנוֹתlik/NOTbuyאֲרָצוֹתa/ra/TSOTlandsוּלְהֵאָסֵףu/le/he/a/SEFand gather togetherעֲלֵיהֶןa/le/HENupon themוּבַדֶּרֶךְu/vad/DE/rekhand in wayהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisיְכוֹנְנוּye/khon/NUthey may establishצִיּוֹן׃Tsiy/YONZion

    And the churches in the eastern countries, when they are built up, if they will hearken unto this counsel they may buy lands and gather together upon them; and in this way they may establish Zion.

75. 75

    יֵשׁyeshthere isכְּבָרke/VARevenעַתָּהat/TAnow alreadyבְּאוֹצָרbe/o/TSARin storeדֵּיdesufficientאַףafyea evenשֶׁפַעSHE/faan abundanceלִגְאֹלlig/OLto redeemצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONZionוּלְהָקִיםu/le/ha/KIMand establishחׇרְבוֹתֶיהָchor/vo/te/HAher waste placesלְבַלle/VALthat notיֻפְּלוּyup/pe/LUbe thrown downעוֹדodno moreלוּluwereרָצוּRA/tsuwillingהַכְּנֵסִיּוֹתhak/ke/ne/siy/YOTthe churchesהַנִּקְרָאוֹתhan/nik/ra/OTwho call themselvesעַלalafterשְׁמִיshe/MImy nameלִשְׁמֹעַlish/MO/ato hearkenבְּקוֹלִי׃be/ko/LIto my voice

    There is even now already in store sufficient, yea, even an abundance, to redeem Zion, and establish her waste places, no more to be thrown down, were the churches, who call themselves after my name, willing to hearken to my voice.

76. 76

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youאֵלֶּהEL/lethoseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoנָפוֹצוּna/fo/TSUhave been scatteredבִּידֵיbi/DEby the handsאֹיְבֵיהֶםoy/ve/HEMof their enemiesרְצוֹנִיre/tso/NIit is my willאֲשֶׁר־יוֹסִיפוּa/SHER-yo/SI/futhat they should continueלְהַפְצִירle/haf/TSIRto importuneלְתִקּוּןle/tik/KUNfor redressוּגְאֻלָּהu/ge/ul/LAand redemptionבִּידֵיbi/DEby the handsהַמּוֹשְׁלִיםham/mosh/LIMof those who ruleוְהַשּׁוֹלְטִיםve/hash/shol/TIMand are in authorityעֲלֵיכֶם׃a/le/KHEMover you

    And again I say unto you, those who have been scattered by their enemies, it is my will that they should continue to importune for redress, and redemption, by the hands of those who are placed as rulers and are in authority over you—

    כְּפִיke/FIaccording toחֻקֵּיchuk/KEthe lawsהָעָםha/AMof the peopleוְחֹקve/CHOKand constitutionהַיְסוֹדhay/SODfundamentalאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהִנַּחְתִּיhin/nach/TII sufferedלְהִכּוֹנֵןle/hik/ko/NENto be establishedוְרָאוּיve/ra/UYand shouldלְהִשָּׁמֵרle/hish/sha/MERbe maintainedלִזְכֻיּוֹתliz/khuy/YOTfor the rightsוּמַחֲסֶהu/ma/cha/SEand protectionלְכׇל־בָּשָׂרle/KHOL-ba/SARof all fleshכְּפִיke/FIaccording toעִקְּרֵיik/ke/REprinciplesצֶדֶקTSE/dekof justוְקֹדֶשׁ׃ve/ko/DESHand holy

    According to the laws and constitution of the people, which I have suffered to be established, and should be maintained for the rights and protection of all flesh, according to just and holy principles;

78. 78

    לְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיוּכַלyu/KHALmay actכׇּל־אִישׁkol-ishevery manלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto actבְּתוֹרָהbe/to/RAin doctrineוּבְעִקָּרu/ve/ik/KARand principleהַנּוֹגֵעַhan/no/GE/apertaining toלֶעָתִידle/a/TIDfuturityכְּפִיke/FIaccording toהַבְּחִירָהhab/be/chi/RAthe agencyהַמּוּסָרִיתham/mu/sa/RITmoralאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI gaveלוֹlohimלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִהְיֶהyih/YEmay beכׇל־אִישׁkhol-ishevery manנֹתֵןno/TENaccountableחֶשְׁבּוֹןchesh/BONaccountעַלalforחֲטָאָיוcha/ta/AYVhis own sinsבְּיוֹםbe/YOMin the dayהַמִּשְׁפָּט׃ham/mish/PATof judgment

    That every man may act in doctrine and principle pertaining to futurity, according to the moral agency which I have given unto him, that every man may be accountable for his own sins in the day of judgment.

79. 79

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeאֵינוֹe/NOit is notנָכוֹןna/KHONrightאֲשֶׁר־יִהְיֶהa/SHER-yih/YEthat should beאִישׁishany manבְּעַבְדוּתbe/av/DUTin bondageלְאִישׁle/ISHone toאַחֵר׃a/CHERanother

    Therefore, it is not right that any man should be in bondage one to another.

80. 80

    וְלַתַּכְלִיתve/lat/takh/LITand for the purposeהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisהֲקִימוֹתִיha/ki/mo/TIhave I establishedחֹקchokthe lawיְסוֹדYe/SODConstitutionהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof landהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisבִּידֵיbi/DEby the handsאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMof menחֲכָמִיםcha/kha/MIMwiseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomהֲקִימוֹתִיha/ki/mo/TII raised upלַתַּכְלִיתlat/takh/LITunto the purposeהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisעַצְמָהּats/MAveryוָאֶגְאַלva/eg/ALand redeemedהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landבִּשְׁפִיכַתbish/fi/KHATby the sheddingדָּם׃damof blood

    And for this purpose have I established the Constitution of this land, by the hands of wise men whom I raised up unto this very purpose, and redeemed the land by the shedding of blood.

81. 81

    עַתָּהat/TAnowלְמָהle/MAunto whatאֲדַמֶּהa/dam/MEshall I likenבְּנֵיbe/NEthe childrenצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONof Zionאֲדַמֵּםa/dam/MEMI will liken themלְמָשָׁלle/ma/SHALunto the parableהָאִשָּׁהha/ish/SHAof the womanוְהַשּׁוֹפֵטve/hash/sho/FETand the judgeהָעָוֶלha/A/velunjustכִּיkiforעַלaloughtבְּנֵיbe/NEthe childrenאָדָםa/DAMof menלְהִתְפַּלֵּלle/hit/pal/LELto prayתָּמִידta/MIDalwaysוְלֹאve/LOand notלְהִתְרַפּוֹתle/hit/rap/POTto faintהָאֹמֵר׃ha/o/MERwhich says

    Now, unto what shall I liken the children of Zion? I will liken them unto the parable of the woman and the unjust judge, for men ought always to pray and not to faint, which saith—

82. 82

    שׁוֹפֵטsho/FETa judgeהָיָהha/YAthere wasבְּעִירbe/IRin a cityאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹאlonotיָרֵאya/REfearedאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִיםet-ha/e/lo/HIMGodוְלֹא־נָשָׂאve/LO-na/SAneither regardedפְּנֵיpe/NEthe faceאָדָם׃a/DAMof man

    There was in a city a judge which feared not God, neither regarded man.

83. 83

    וְאַלְמָנָהve/al/ma/NAand a widowהָיְתָהha/ye/TAthere wasבָּעִירba/IRin cityהַהִיאha/HIthatוַתָּבֹאvat/ta/VOand she cameאֵלָיוe/LAYVunto himלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingדִּינָהdi/NAavengeאֶת־דִּינִיet-di/NImeמִמְּרִיבִי׃mim/me/ri/VIof mine adversary

    And there was a widow in that city, and she came unto him, saying: Avenge me of mine adversary.

84. 84

    וַיְמָאֵןvay/ma/ENand he would notיוֹםyomfor aוָיוֹםva/YOMwhileוְאַחֲרֵי־כֵןve/a/cha/RE-khenbut afterwardאָמַרa/MARhe saidבְּנַפְשׁוֹbe/naf/SHOwithin himselfגַּם־כִּיgam-kithoughלֹאlonotאִירָאi/RAI fearאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִיםet-ha/e/lo/HIMGodוְלֹא־אֶשָּׂאve/LO-es/SAnor regardפָנִיםfa/NIMthe personלְאָדָםle/a/DAMof manאַךְakhyetעַלalbecauseהַלְאוֹתhal/OTtroublesהָאַלְמָנָהha/al/ma/NAwidowהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisאֹתִיo/TImeאֶעֱשֶׂהe/e/SEI will avengeאֶת־מִשְׁפָּטָהּet-mish/pa/TAherפֶּן־תָּבוֹאpen-ta/VOlest by her comingתָמִידta/MIDcontinualוְדִכְּאַתְנִי׃ve/dik/ke/at/NIshe weary me

    And he would not for a while, but afterward he said within himself: Though I fear not God, nor regard man, yet because this widow troubleth me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

85. 85

    כָּכָהKA/khathusאֲדַמֶּהa/dam/MEwill I likenבְּנֵיbe/NEthe childrenצִיּוֹן׃Tsiy/YONof Zion

    Thus will I liken the children of Zion.

86. 86

    יַפְצִירוּyaf/tsi/RUlet them importuneלְרַגְלֵיle/rag/LEat the feetהַשּׁוֹפֵט׃hash/sho/FETof the judge

    Let them importune at the feet of the judge;

87. 87

    וְאִםve/IMand ifלֹאlonotיַקְשִׁיבyak/SHIVhe heedלָהֶםla/HEMthemיַפְצִירוּyaf/tsi/RUlet them importuneלְרַגְלֵיle/rag/LEat the feetהַמּוֹשֵׁל׃ham/mo/SHELof the governor

    And if he heed them not, let them importune at the feet of the governor;

88. 88

    וְאִםve/IMand ifלֹאlonotיַקְשִׁיבyak/SHIVheedהַמּוֹשֵׁלham/mo/SHELthe governorלָהֶםla/HEMthemיַפְצִירוּyaf/tsi/RUlet them importuneלְרַגְלֵיle/rag/LEat the feetהַנָּשִׂיא׃han/na/SIof the president

    And if the governor heed them not, let them importune at the feet of the president;

89. 89

    וְאִםve/IMand ifלֹאlonotיַקְשִׁיבyak/SHIVheedהַנָּשִׂיאhan/na/SIthe presidentלָהֶםla/HEMthemאָזazthenיָקוּםya/KUMshall ariseיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordוְיֵצֵאve/ye/TSEand come forthמִמִּסְתָּרוֹmim/mis/ta/ROout of his hiding placeוּבַחֲמָתוֹu/va/cha/ma/TOand in his furyיַרְגִּיזyar/GIZvexאֶת־הַגּוֹי׃et-hag/GOYthe nation

    And if the president heed them not, then will the Lord arise and come forth out of his hiding place, and in his fury vex the nation;

90. 90

    וּבַחֲרוֹןu/va/cha/RONand in his hotאַפּוֹap/POdispleasureוּבְזַעַםu/ve/ZA/amand in his fierceעֶבְרָתוֹev/ra/TOangerבְעִתּוֹve/it/TOin his timeיַכְרִיתyakh/RITwill cut offהָרְשָׁעִיםha/re/sha/IMthose wickedהַבּוֹגְדִיםhab/bog/DIMunfaithfulוְהָעַוָּלִיםve/ha/av/va/LIMand the unjustוְיָשִׂיםve/ya/SIMand appointחֶלְקָםchel/KAMtheir portionעִםimamongהַחֲנֵפִיםha/cha/ne/FIMhypocritesוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand those in whomלֹא־אֵמֻןlo-e/MUNunbelieversבָּם׃bamis

    And in his hot displeasure, and in his fierce anger, in his time, will cut off those wicked, unfaithful, and unjust stewards, and appoint them their portion among hypocrites, and unbelievers;

91. 91

    גַּםgamevenבַּחֹשֶׁךְba/CHO/shekhin darknessהַחִיצוֹןha/chi/TSONouterאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereשָׁםshamthere isבֶּכִיBE/khiweepingוִילָלָהvi/la/LAand wailingוַחֲרֹקva/cha/ROKand gnashingשִׁנַּיִם׃shin/na/YIMof teeth

    Even in outer darkness, where there is weeping, and wailing, and gnashing of teeth.

92. 92

    הִתְפַּלְּלוּhit/pal/le/LUprayאֵפוֹאe/FOthereforeאֲשֶׁר־תִּפָּתַחְנָהa/SHER-tip/pa/TACH/nathat may be openedאׇזְנֵיהֶםoz/ne/HEMtheir earsלְצַעֲקַתְכֶםle/tsa/a/kat/KHEMunto your criesלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatאֲרַחֵםa/ra/CHEMI may be mercifulעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themוְלֹאve/LOthat notיָבֹאוּya/VO/umay comeעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthingsהָאֵלֶּה׃ha/el/LEthese

    Pray ye, therefore, that their ears may be opened unto your cries, that I may be merciful unto them, that these things may not come upon them.

    What I have said unto you must needs be, that all men may be left without excuse;

    לְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִשְׁמְעוּyish/me/Umay hearחֲכָמִיםcha/kha/MIMwise menוּמוֹשְׁלִיםu/mosh/LIMand rulersוְיֵדְעוּve/yed/Uand knowאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERthat whichלֹאlonotהִתְבּוֹנְנוּhit/bon/NUthey consideredמֵעוֹלָם׃me/o/LAMnever

    That wise men and rulers may hear and know that which they have never considered;

    לְמַעַןle/MA/anthatאוֹסִיףo/SIFI may proceedלְהוֹצִיאle/ho/TSIto bring to passאֶת־מַעֲשִׂיet-ma/a/SImy actמַעֲשִׂיma/a/SImy actהַזָּרhaz/ZARstrangeוְלַעֲבֹדve/la/a/VODand performעֲבֹדָתִיa/vo/da/TImy workעֲבֹדָתִיa/vo/da/TImy workהַנׇּכְרִיָּהhan/nokh/riy/YAstrangeלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִרְאוּyir/Umay discernבְּנֵיbe/NEthe childrenאָדָםa/DAMof menבֵּיןbenbetweenצַדִּיקtsad/DIKthe righteousלְרָשָׁעle/ra/SHAthe wickedאָמַרa/MARsaysאֱלֹהֵיכֶם׃e/lo/he/KHEMyour God

    That I may proceed to bring to pass my act, my strange act, and perform my work, my strange work, that men may discern between the righteous and the wicked, saith your God.

96. 96

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youנֶגֶדNE/gedit is contrary toמִצְוָתִיmits/va/TImy commandmentוּרְצוֹנִיu/re/tso/NIand my willאֲשֶׁר־יִמְכֹּרa/SHER-yim/KORthat should sellעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantסִידְנִיSi/de/NISidneyגִילְבֶּרְטGil/BERTGilbertאֶת־אוֹצָרִיet-o/tsa/RImy storehouseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichמִנִּיתִיmin/ni/TII appointedלְעַמִּיle/am/MIunto my peopleבִּידֵיbi/DEinto the handsאֹיְבַי׃oy/VAYof my enemies

    And again, I say unto you, it is contrary to my commandment and my will that my servant Sidney Gilbert should sell my storehouse, which I have appointed unto my people, into the hands of mine enemies.

    אַלallet notיְחֻלַּלye/chul/LALbe pollutedאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat whichמִנִּיתִיmin/ni/TII appointedבִּידֵיbi/DEby the handsאֹיְבַיoy/VAYof my enemiesבִּרְצוֹןbir/TSONby the consentהַנִּקְרָאִיםhan/nik/ra/IMof those who call themselvesעַלalafterשְׁמִי׃she/MImy name

    Let not that which I have appointed be polluted by mine enemies, by the consent of those who call themselves after my name;

98. 98

    כִּיkiforזֹאתzotthis isחֲטָאָהcha/ta/Aa sinכְאֵבָהkhe/e/VAsoreוְקָשָׁהve/ka/SHAand grievousמְאֹדme/ODveryנֶגְדִּיneg/DIagainst meוְנֶגֶדve/NE/gedand againstעַמִּיam/MImy peopleמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEin consequence ofהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthose thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichגָּזַרְתִּיga/zar/TII decreedוּקְרוֹבִיםu/ke/ro/VIMand which are soonלָבוֹאla/VOto befallעַלaluponהַגּוֹיִם׃hag/go/YIMthe nations

    For this is a very sore and grievous sin against me, and against my people, in consequence of those things which I have decreed and which are soon to befall the nations.

99. 99

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeרְצוֹנִיre/tso/NIit is my willאֲשֶׁר־יִדְרְשׁוּa/SHER-yid/re/SHUthat should claimעַמִּיam/MImy peopleוְיַחֲזִיקוּve/ya/cha/ZI/kuand holdמִשְׁפָּטmish/PATclaimעַלaluponאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthat whichמִנִּיתִיmin/ni/TII appointedלָהֶםla/HEMunto themאַףafthoughכִּיkithatלֹאlonotיֻרְשׁוּyur/SHUthey should be permittedלִשְׁכֹּןlish/KONto dwellשָׁם׃shamthereon

    Therefore, it is my will that my people should claim, and hold claim upon that which I have appointed unto them, though they should not be permitted to dwell thereon.

100. 100

     אַךְakhneverthelessאֵינֶנִּיe/NEN/niI do notאוֹמֵרo/MERsayאֲשֶׁר־לֹאa/SHER-lothey shall notיִשְׁכְּנוּyish/ke/NUdwellשָׁםshamthereonכִּיkiforכְּפִיke/FIinasmuch asאֲשֶׁר־יוֹצִיאוּa/SHER-yo/TSI/uthey bring forthפְּרִיpe/RIfruitוּמַעֲשִׂיםu/ma/a/SIMand worksהָרְאוּיִיםha/re/u/YIMmeetלְמַלְכוּתִיle/mal/khu/TIfor my kingdomיִשְׁכְּנוּyish/ke/NUthey shall dwellשָׁם׃shamthereon

     Nevertheless, I do not say they shall not dwell thereon; for inasmuch as they bring forth fruit and works meet for my kingdom they shall dwell thereon.

101. 101

     יִבְנוּyiv/NUthey shall buildוְאַחֵרve/a/CHERand anotherלֹאlonotיִירָשׁyi/RASHshall inheritיִטְּעוּyit/te/Uthey shall plantכְרָמִיםkhe/ra/MIMvineyardsוְיֹאכְלוּve/yo/khe/LUand they shall eatפִּרְיָםpir/YAMthe fruit thereofכֵּןkeneven soאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

     They shall build, and another shall not inherit it; they shall plant vineyards, and they shall eat the fruit thereof. Even so. Amen.
