   Hearken, O ye people of my church, saith the voice of him who dwells on high, and whose eyes are upon all men; yea, verily I say: Hearken ye people from afar; and ye that are upon the islands of the sea, listen together.

   For verily the voice of the Lord is unto all men, and there is none to escape; and there is no eye that shall not see, neither ear that shall not hear, neither heart that shall not be penetrated.

   וְהַסּוֹרְרִיםve/has/sor/RIMand the rebelliousיִדָּקְרוּyid/da/ke/RUshall be piercedבְּמַכְאוֹבbe/makh/OVwith sorrowרָבravmuchכִּיkiforעֲוֹנֹתֵיהֶםa/vo/no/te/HEMtheir iniquitiesיִקָּרְאוּyik/ka/re/Ushall be spokenעַלaluponהַגַּגּוֹתhag/gag/GOTthe housetopsוּמַעֲשֵׂיהֶםu/ma/a/se/HEMand their deedsהַנִּסְתָּרִיםhan/nis/ta/RIMthe secretיִגָּלוּ׃yig/ga/LUshall be revealed

   And the rebellious shall be pierced with much sorrow; for their iniquities shall be spoken upon the housetops, and their secret acts shall be revealed.

   וְקוֹלve/KOLand a voiceמַזְהִירmaz/HIRof warningיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beאֶל־כׇּל־הָעַמִּיםel-kol-ha/am/MIMunto all the peoplesבְּפִיbe/FIby mouthתַלְמִידַיtal/mi/DAYof my disciplesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhomבָּחַרְתִּיba/CHAR/tiI choseבְּאַחֲרִיתbe/a/cha/RITin the lastהַיָּמִיםhay/ya/MIMdaysהָאֵלֶּה׃ha/el/LEthese

   And the voice of warning shall be unto all people, by the mouths of my disciples, whom I have chosen in these last days.

   וְיָצְאוּve/ya/tse/Uand they shall go forthוְאֵיןve/ENand there is noמַעְצוֹרma/TSORrestraintלָהֶםla/HEMupon themכִּיkiforאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe LORDצִוִּיתִים׃tsiv/vi/TIMI commanded them

   And they shall go forth and none shall stay them, for I the Lord have commanded them.

   Behold, this is mine authority, and the authority of my servants, and my preface unto the book of my commandments, which I have given them to publish unto you, O inhabitants of the earth.

   עַל־כֵּןal-kenwhereforeחִרְדוּchir/DUfearוְרִגְזוּve/rig/ZUand trembleהָעָםha/AMO peopleכִּיkiforאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhatגָּזַרְתִּיga/zar/TII decreedאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe LORDבָּהֶםba/HEMin themיָקוּם׃ya/KUMshall be fulfilled

   Wherefore, fear and tremble, O ye people, for what I the Lord have decreed in them shall be fulfilled.

   וְאָמֵןve/a/MENand verilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMto youכִּיkithatהַהֹלְכִיםha/hol/KHIMthose goingלָשֵׂאתla/SETto carryהַבְּשׂוֹרָהhab/be/so/RAthe tidingsהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisאֶל־יֹשְׁבֵיel-yosh/VEunto dwellersהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthלָהֶםla/HEMto themנִתַּןnit/TANis givenכֹּחַKO/achpowerלַחְתֹּםlach/TOMto sealבָּאָרֶץba/A/retson earthוּבַשָּׁמַיִםu/vash/sha/MA/yimand in heavenאֶת־אֲשֶׁרet-a/SHERthose whoלֹאlonotיַאֲמִינוּya/a/MI/nubelieveוְאֶת־הַסּוֹרְרִים׃ve/ET-has/sor/RIMand the rebellious

   And verily I say unto you, that they who go forth, bearing these tidings unto the inhabitants of the earth, to them is power given to seal both on earth and in heaven, the unbelieving and rebellious;

   אָכֵןa/KHENyea verilyלַחְתֹּםlach/TOMto sealאוֹתָםo/TAMthemעַדaduntilהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenחֲמַתcha/MATthe wrathאֵלelof Godתִּשָּׁפֵךְtish/sha/FEKHshall be poured outעַלaluponהָרְשָׁעִיםha/re/sha/IMthe wickedבְּאֵיןbe/ENwithoutמִדָּה׃mid/DAmeasure

   Yea, verily, to seal them up unto the day when the wrath of God shall be poured out upon the wicked without measure—

    עַדaduntilהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenיָבֹאya/VOshall comeיְהוָהAdonaithe LORDלְשַׁלֵּםle/shal/LEMto repayלְאִישׁle/ISHto each manכְּמַעֲשֵׂהוּke/ma/a/SE/huaccording to his workוְלָמֹדve/la/MODand to measureלְאִישׁle/ISHto each manכַּמִּדָּהkam/mid/DAby the measureאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichמָדַדma/DADhe measuredלְרֵעֵהוּ׃le/re/e/HUto his neighbor

    Unto the day when the Lord shall come to recompense unto every man according to his work, and measure to every man according to the measure which he has measured to his fellow man.

11. 11

    עַל־כֵּןal-kenwhereforeקוֹלkolvoiceיְהוָהAdonaiof the LORDאֶל־קַצְוֵיel-kats/VEis unto the endsאָרֶץA/retsof earthלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatיִשְׁמְעוּyish/me/Umay hearכֹּלkolallהַחֲפֵצִיםha/cha/fe/TSIMwho desireלִשְׁמֹעַ׃lish/MO/ato hear

    Wherefore the voice of the Lord is unto the ends of the earth, that all that will hear may hear:

12. 12

    הִכּוֹנוּhik/ko/NUprepareהִכּוֹנוּhik/ko/NUprepareלַאֲשֶׁרla/a/SHERfor whatיָבֹאya/VOis to comeכִּיkiforיְהוָהAdonaithe LORDקָרוֹב׃ka/ROVis near

    Prepare ye, prepare ye for that which is to come, for the Lord is nigh;

13. 13

    וַחֲרוֹןva/cha/RONand burningאַףafof angerיְהוָהAdonaiof the LORDבֹּעֵרbo/ERis kindledוְחַרְבּוֹve/char/BOand his swordרִוְּתָהriv/ve/TAis bathedבַשָּׁמַיִםvash/sha/MA/yimin heavenוְתִפֹּלve/tip/POLand shall fallעַלaluponיֹשְׁבֵיyosh/VEdwellersהָאָרֶץ׃ha/a/RETSof the earth

    And the anger of the Lord is kindled, and his sword is bathed in heaven, and it shall fall upon the inhabitants of the earth.

14. 14

    וּזְרוֹעַu/ze/RO/aand armיְהוָהAdonaiof the LORDתִּגָּלֶהtig/ga/LEshall be revealedוְהַיּוֹםve/hay/YOMand the dayבָּאbais comingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenלֹאlonotיִשְׁמְעוּyish/me/Uthey hearאֶל־קוֹלel-kolvoiceיְהוָהAdonaiof the LORDוְאֶל־קוֹלve/EL-koland voiceעֲבָדָיוa/va/DAYVof his servantsוְלֹאve/LOand notיַקְשִׁיבוּyak/shi/VUgive heedלְדִבְרֵיle/div/REto wordsהַנְּבִיאִיםhan/ne/vi/IMof the prophetsוְהַשְּׁלוּחִיםve/hash/she/lu/CHIMand the apostlesהֵמָּהHEM/matheyיִכָּרְתוּyik/ka/re/TUshall be cut offמִקֶּרֶבmik/KE/revfrom midstהָעָם׃ha/AMof the people

    And the arm of the Lord shall be revealed; and the day cometh that they who will not hear the voice of the Lord, neither the voice of his servants, neither give heed to the words of the prophets and apostles, shall be cut off from among the people;

    כִּיkiforתָעוּta/Uthey strayedמֵחֻקֹּתַיme/chuk/ko/TAYfrom my ordinancesוַיָּפֵרוּvay/ya/FE/ruand they brokeאֶת־בְּרִיתִיet-be/ri/TImy covenantבְּרִית־עוֹלָם׃be/RIT-o/LAMan everlasting covenant

    For they have strayed from mine ordinances, and have broken mine everlasting covenant;

16. 16

    לֹאlonotדָרְשׁוּda/re/SHUthey soughtאֶת־יְהוָהet-Adonaithe LORDלְהָקִיםle/ha/KIMto establishצִדְקָתוֹtsid/ka/TOhis righteousnessכִּי־אִםki-imbutאִישׁishevery manבְּדַרְכּוֹbe/dar/KOin his own wayהֹלֵךְho/LEKHwalksוְאַחֲרֵיve/a/cha/REand afterצֶלֶםTSE/lemimageאֱלֹהָיוe/lo/HAYVof his godאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseצַלְמוֹtsal/MOits imageכִּדְמוּתkid/MUTis like the likenessתֵבֵלte/VELof the worldוְעַצְמוֹve/ats/MOand its substanceכְּעֶצֶםke/E/tsemis like the substanceאֱלִילe/LILof an idolאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיִבְלֶהyiv/LEshall wear outוְיֹאבַדve/yo/VADand shall perishבְּבָבֶלbe/Va/VELin BabylonבָּבֶלBa/VELBabylonהַגְּדוֹלָהhag/ge/do/LAthe greatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתִּפֹּל׃tip/POLshall fall

    They seek not the Lord to establish his righteousness, but every man walketh in his own way, and after the image of his own god, whose image is in the likeness of the world, and whose substance is that of an idol, which waxeth old and shall perish in Babylon, even Babylon the great, which shall fall.

    עַל־כֵּןal-kenwhereforeאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe LORDיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiknowingאֶת־הָאֵידet-ha/EDthe calamityאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיָבֹאya/VOshall comeעַלaluponיֹשְׁבֵיyosh/VEdwellersהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthוָאֶקְרָאva/ek/RAand I calledאֶל־עַבְדִּיel-av/DIunto my servantיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephסְמִיתSe/MITSmithהַבֵּןHab/BENJunוָאֲדַבֵּרva/a/dab/BERand I spokeאֵלָיוe/LAYVunto himמִן־הַשָּׁמַיִםmin-hash/sha/MA/yimfrom heavenוָאֶתֶּןva/et/TENand I gaveלוֹlohimמִצְוֹת׃mits/VOTcommandments

    Wherefore, I the Lord, knowing the calamity which should come upon the inhabitants of the earth, called upon my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., and spake unto him from heaven, and gave him commandments;

18. 18

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI gaveמִצְוֹתmits/VOTcommandmentsלַאֲחֵרִיםla/a/che/RIMto othersלְהַשְׁמִיעַle/hash/MI/ato proclaimאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseלַתֵּבֵלlat/te/VELunto the worldוְכׇל־זֹאתve/KHOL-zotand all thisלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatיִמָּלֵאyim/MA/lemight be fulfilledהַכָּתוּבhak/ka/TUVthat which is writtenבְּיַדbe/YADby handהַנְּבִיאִים׃han/ne/vi/IMof the prophets

    And also gave commandments to others, that they should proclaim these things unto the world; and all this that it might be fulfilled, which was written by the prophets—

19. 19

    וְהַחַלָּשִׁיםve/ha/chal/la/SHIMand the weakאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoבְּתֵבֵלbe/te/VELin the worldיֵצְאוּyets/Ushall come forthוְשִׁבְּרוּve/shib/be/RUand break downאֶת־הַחֲזָקִיםet-ha/cha/za/KIMthe strongוְהָעֲצוּמִיםve/ha/a/tsu/MIMand the mightyלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatלֹאlonotיִיעַץyi/ATSshall counselאִישׁisha manאֶת־רֵעֵהוּet-re/E/huhis neighborוְלֹאve/LOand notיִבְטַחyiv/TACHshall trustבִּזְרוֹעַbiz/RO/ain armבָּשָׂר׃ba/SARof flesh

    The weak things of the world shall come forth and break down the mighty and strong ones, that man should not counsel his fellow man, neither trust in the arm of flesh—

20. 20

    כִּי־אִםki-imbut thatיְדַבֵּרye/dab/BERmight speakכׇּל־אִישׁkol-ishevery manבְּשֵׁםbe/SHEMin nameהָאֵלha/ELof GodיְהוָהAdonaithe LORDהוּאhuheמוֹשִׁיעַMo/SHI/ais the Saviorתֵבֵל׃te/VELof the world

    But that every man might speak in the name of God the Lord, even the Savior of the world;

21. 21

    וּלְמַעַןu/le/MA/anand so thatתִּרְבֶּהtir/BEmay increaseהָאֱמוּנָהha/e/mu/NAthe faithבָּאָרֶץ׃ba/a/RETSin the earth

    That faith also might increase in the earth;

22. 22

    וּלְמַעַןu/le/MA/anand so thatתִּכּוֹןtik/KONmay be establishedבְּרִיתִיbe/ri/TImy covenantבְּרִית־עוֹלָם׃be/RIT-o/LAMan everlasting covenant

    That mine everlasting covenant might be established;

23. 23

    וּלְמַעַןu/le/MA/anand so thatיֻגַּדyug/GADmight be proclaimedמְלֹאme/LOfullnessבְשׂוֹרָתִיve/so/ra/TIof my gospelבְּיַדbe/YADby handהַחַלָּשִׁיםha/chal/la/SHIMof the weakוְהַפְּתָיִיםve/hap/pe/ta/YIMand the simpleעַדaduntoקַצְוֵיkats/VEendsתֵבֵלte/VELof the worldוְלִפְנֵיve/lif/NEand beforeמְלָכִיםme/la/KHIMkingsוְרוֹזְנִים׃ve/roz/NIMrulers

    That the fulness of my gospel might be proclaimed by the weak and the simple unto the ends of the world, and before kings and rulers.

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאָנֹכִיa/no/KHIIאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMam Godוְדִבַּרְתִּיve/dib/bar/TIand I spokeהַמִּצְוֹתham/mits/VOTthe commandmentsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseמֵאִתִּיme/it/TIfrom myselfוְנִתְּנוּve/nit/te/NUand they were givenלַעֲבָדַיla/a/va/DAYto my servantsבִּהְיוֹתָםbih/yo/TAMin their beingחַלָּשִׁיםchal/la/SHIMweakכִּלְשׁוֹנָםkil/sho/NAMaccording to their languageלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatיָבִינוּ׃ya/vi/NUthey may understand

    Behold, I am God and have spoken it; these commandments are of me, and were given unto my servants in their weakness, after the manner of their language, that they might come to understanding.

    וּבַאֲשֶׁרu/va/a/SHERand inasmuch asשָׁגוּsha/GUthey erredיִוָּדַע׃yiv/va/DAit might be made known

    And inasmuch as they erred it might be made known;

26. 26

    וּבַאֲשֶׁרu/va/a/SHERand inasmuch asבִּקְשׁוּbik/SHUthey soughtחׇכְמָהchokh/MAwisdomיִקְחוּyik/CHUthey shall receiveלֶקַח׃le/KACHinstruction

    And inasmuch as they sought wisdom they might be instructed;

27. 27

    וּבַאֲשֶׁרu/va/a/SHERand inasmuch asחָטְאוּcha/te/Uthey sinnedיִוָּכְחוּyiv/va/khe/CHUthey shall be chastenedלְמַעַןle/MA/anso thatיָשׁוּבוּ׃ya/shu/VUthey may repent

    And inasmuch as they sinned they might be chastened, that they might repent;

28. 28

    וּבַאֲשֶׁרu/va/a/SHERand inasmuch asנִכְנְעוּnikh/ne/Uhumbled themselvesיְחֻזְּקוּye/chuz/ze/KUthey shall be strengthenedוְיִתְבָּרְכוּve/yit/BAR/khuand shall be blessedמִמָּרוֹםmim/ma/ROMfrom on highוְיִקְחוּve/yik/CHUand shall receiveדַעַתDA/atknowledgeמֵעֵתme/ETfrom timeלָעֵת׃la/ETto time

    And inasmuch as they were humble they might be made strong, and blessed from on high, and receive knowledge from time to time.

    And after having received the record of the Nephites, yea, even my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., might have power to translate through the mercy of God, by the power of God, the Book of Mormon.

    And also those to whom these commandments were given, might have power to lay the foundation of this church, and to bring it forth out of obscurity and out of darkness, the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth, with which I, the Lord, am well pleased, speaking unto the church collectively and not individually—

31. 31

    כִּיkiforאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe LORDלֹאlonotאוּכַלu/KHALI am ableלְהַבִּיטle/hab/BITto lookאֶל־חֵטְאel-chetupon sinאַףafevenלֹאlonotכִּמְעָט׃kim/ATthe least

    For I the Lord cannot look upon sin with the least degree of allowance;

32. 32

    אַךְakhneverthelessהַשָּׁבhash/SHAVthe one repentingוְעֹשֶׂהve/O/seand doingאֶת־מִצְוֹתet-mits/VOTthe commandmentsיְהוָהAdonaiof the LORDיִסָּלַחyis/sa/LACHshall be forgivenלוֹ׃lohim

    Nevertheless, he that repents and does the commandments of the Lord shall be forgiven;

33. 33

    וַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand he whoלֹאlonotיָשׁוּבya/SHUVrepentsמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nufrom himיִלָּקַחyil/la/KACHshall be takenגַּםgamevenהָאוֹרha/ORthe lightאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichקִבֵּלkib/BELhe has receivedכִּיkiforרוּחִיRu/CHImy Spiritלֹאlonotתָדוֹןta/DONshall striveבָּאָדָםba/a/DAMwith manלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMalwaysנְאֻםne/UMsaysיְהוָהAdonaithe LORDצְבָאוֹת׃tse/va/OTof hosts

    And he that repents not, from him shall be taken even the light which he has received; for my Spirit shall not always strive with man, saith the Lord of Hosts.

    וְעוֹדve/ODand againאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMto youיֹשְׁבֵיyosh/VEO dwellersהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe LORDחָפֵץcha/FETSam willingלְהוֹדִיעַle/ho/DI/ato make knownאֶת־הַדְּבָרִיםet-had/de/va/RIMthe thingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseלְכׇל־בָּשָׂר׃le/KHOL-ba/SARunto all flesh

    And again, verily I say unto you, O inhabitants of the earth: I the Lord am willing to make these things known unto all flesh;

35. 35

    כִּיkiforאֵינֶנִּיe/NEN/niI am notנֹשֵׂאno/SEa respecterפָנִיםfa/NIMof facesוְחָפַצְתִּיve/cha/FATS/tiand I desireאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיֵדְעוּyed/Umay knowכׇל־אָדָםkhol-a/DAMall menכִּיkithatהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayמְמַהֵרme/ma/HERis hasteningלָבֹאla/VOto comeוְהָעֵתve/ha/ETand the hourטֶרֶםTE/remnot yetבָּאָהba/Acameאַךְakhbutקְרוֹבָהke/ro/VAnearהִיאhiis itאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenיֻקַּחyuk/KACHshall be takenהַשָּׁלוֹםhash/sha/LOMthe peaceמִן־הָאָרֶץmin-ha/A/retsfrom the earthוְהַשָּׂטָןve/has/sa/TANand the devilיִמְשֹׁלyim/SHOLshall ruleבְּמֶמְשַׁלְתּוֹ׃be/mem/shal/TOin his own dominion

    For I am no respecter of persons, and will that all men shall know that the day speedily cometh; the hour is not yet, but is nigh at hand, when peace shall be taken from the earth, and the devil shall have power over his own dominion.

36. 36

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoיְהוָהAdonaithe LORDיִמְשֹׁלyim/SHOLshall ruleבִּקְדוֹשָׁיוbik/do/SHAYVover his saintsוְיִמְלֹךְve/yim/LOKHand shall reignבְּתוֹכָםbe/to/KHAMin their midstוְיֵרֵדve/ye/REDand shall come downלְמִשְׁפָּטle/mish/PATfor judgmentעַלaluponאֱדוֹםE/DOMIdumeaהִיאhithat isתֵבֵל׃te/VELthe world

    And also the Lord shall have power over his saints, and shall reign in their midst, and shall come down in judgment upon Idumea, or the world.

37. 37

    דִּרְשׁוּdir/SHUsearchאֶת־הַמִּצְוֹתet-ham/mits/VOTthe commandmentsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseכִּיkiforאֱמֶתe/METtrueוְנֶאֱמָנוֹתve/ne/e/ma/NOTand faithfulהֵנָּהHEN/naare theyוְהַנְּבוּאוֹתve/han/ne/vu/OTand the propheciesוְהַהַבְטָחוֹתve/ha/hav/ta/CHOTand the promisesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבָּהֶןba/HENin themכֻּלָּןkul/LANall of themיִמָּלְאוּ׃yim/ma/le/Ushall be fulfilled

    Search these commandments, for they are true and faithful, and the prophecies and promises which are in them shall all be fulfilled.

38. 38

    אֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhatדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tiI spokeאֲנִיa/NIIיְהוָהAdonaithe LORDדִּבַּרְתִּיdib/BAR/tispokeוְלֹאve/LOand notאָשׁוּבa/SHUVI will turn backמִדְּבָרִיmid/de/va/RIfrom my wordוְאִםve/IMand thoughיַעַבְרוּya/av/RUpass awayהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensוְהָאָרֶץve/ha/A/retsand the earthדְּבָרִיde/va/RImy wordלֹאlonotיַעֲבֹרya/a/VORshall pass awayכִּיkiforיִמָּלֵאyim/MA/leshall be fulfilledהַכֹּלhak/KOLall of itאִםimwhetherבְּקוֹלִיbe/ko/LIby my own voiceאִםimorבְּקוֹלbe/KOLby voiceעֲבָדַיa/va/DAYof my servantsאֶחָדe/CHADoneהוּא׃huit is

    What I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken, and I excuse not myself; and though the heavens and the earth pass away, my word shall not pass away, but shall all be fulfilled, whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same.

39. 39

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיְהוָהAdonaithe LORDהוּאhuheהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMis Godוְהָרוּחַve/Ha/RU/achand the Spiritמְעִידָהme/i/DAbears recordוְהָעֵדוּתve/ha/e/DUTand the recordאֱמֶתe/METis truthוְהָאֱמֶתve/ha/e/METand the truthעֹמֶדֶתo/ME/detabidesלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverוָעֶדva/EDand everאָמֵן׃a/MENamen

    For behold, and lo, the Lord is God, and the Spirit beareth record, and the record is true, and the truth abideth forever and ever. Amen.
