   Behold, my brethren, do ye not remember to have read the words of the prophet Zenos, which he spake unto the house of Israel, saying:

   הַקְשִׁיבוּhak/SHI/vuhearkenבֵּית־יִשְׂרָאֵלbet-Yis/ra/ELO house of Israelוְשִׁמְעוּve/shim/Uand hearדְבָרַיde/va/RAYmy wordsאֲנִיa/NIIנְבִיאne/VIa prophetיְהוָה׃Adonaiof Adonai

   Hearken, O ye house of Israel, and hear the words of me, a prophet of the Lord.

   כִּי־כֹהki-khofor thusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֲדַמֶּהa/dam/MEI will likenאוֹתְךָot/KHAyouבֵּית־יִשְׂרָאֵלbet-Yis/ra/ELO house of Israelלְזַיִתle/ZA/yitunto an olive treeתַּרְבּוּתtar/BUTa tameאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלָקַחla/KACHtookאִישׁisha manוַיְטַפְּחֵהוּvay/tap/pe/che/HUand nourished itבְּכַרְמוֹbe/khar/MOin his vineyardוַיִּגְדַּלvay/yig/DALand it grewוַיִּזְקַןvay/yiz/KANand waxed oldוַיָּחֶלvay/YA/cheland beganלִנְבֹל׃lin/VOLto decay

   For behold, thus saith the Lord, I will liken thee, O house of Israel, like unto a tame olive tree, which a man took and nourished in his vineyard; and it grew, and waxed old, and began to decay.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatיָצָאya/TSAwent forthאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardוַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawכִּיkithatהֵחֵלhe/CHELbeganזֵיתוֹze/TOhis olive treeלִנְבֹלlin/VOLto decayוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאֶזְמֹרez/MORI will pruneאוֹתוֹo/TOitוְאֶעְדֹרve/e/DORand I shall dig aboutסְבִיבוֹse/vi/VOaround itוַאֲטַפְּחֵהוּva/a/tap/pe/che/HUand nourish itאוּלַיu/LAYperhapsיוֹצִיאyo/TSIit shall put forthעֲנָפִיםa/na/FIMbranchesצְעִירִיםtse/i/RIMyoungוְרַכִּיםve/rak/KIMand tenderוְלֹאve/LOand notיֹאבֵד׃yo/VEDit shall perish

   And it came to pass that the master of the vineyard went forth, and he saw that his olive tree began to decay; and he said: I will prune it, and dig about it, and nourish it, that perhaps it may shoot forth young and tender branches, and it perish not.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatזָמַרza/MARhe prunedאוֹתוֹo/TOitוַיַּעְדֹּרvay/ya/DORand dug aboutסְבִיבוֹse/vi/VOaround itוַיְטַפְּחֵהוּvay/tap/pe/che/HUand nourished itכִּדְבָרוֹ׃kid/va/ROaccording to his word

   And it came to pass that he pruned it, and digged about it, and nourished it according to his word.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedמִקֵּץmik/KETSafterיָמִיםya/MIMdaysרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוַיָּחֶלvay/YA/chelit beganלְהוֹצִיאle/ho/TSIto put forthמְעַטme/ATsomewhatעֲנָפִיםa/na/FIMbranchesצְעִירִיםtse/i/RIMyoungוְרַכִּיםve/rak/KIMand tenderוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEbut beholdהֵחֵלָּהhe/CHEL/labeganצַמַּרְתּוֹtsam/mar/TOits main topלָמוּת׃la/MUTto die

   And it came to pass that after many days it began to put forth somewhat a little, young and tender branches; but behold, the main top thereof began to perish.

   וַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאֶל־עַבְדּוֹel-av/DOunto his servantיֵצַרye/TSARit shall grieveלִיlimeכִּיkithatאֲאַבֵּדa/ab/BEDI should loseאֶת־הָעֵץet-ha/ETSthe treeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeלֵךְlekhgoוּקְטֹףu/ke/TOFand pluckעֲנָפִיםa/na/FIMbranchesמִזַּיִתmiz/ZA/yitfrom an olive treeבַּרbarwildוְהָבֵאve/ha/VEand bringאֹתָםo/TAMthemאֵלַיe/LAYunto meוְנִקְטֹףve/nik/TOFand we will pluck offאֶת־פֹּארֹתָיוet-po/ro/TAYVits main branchesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהֵחֵלּוּhe/CHEL/luthey beganלִנְבֹלlin/VOLto wither awayוְנַשְׁלִיכֵםve/nash/li/KHEMand we shall cast themאֶל־הָאֵשׁel-ha/ESHinto the fireלְבַעֲרָם׃le/va/a/RAMto burn them

   And it came to pass that the master of the vineyard saw it, and he said unto his servant: It grieveth me that I should lose this tree; wherefore, go and pluck the branches from a wild olive tree, and bring them hither unto me; and we will pluck off those main branches which are beginning to wither away, and we will cast them into the fire that they may be burned.

   וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdאָמַרa/MARsaidאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardאֶקַּחek/KACHI shall takeרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyמֵהָעֲנָפִיםme/ha/a/na/FIMof the branchesהַצְּעִירִיםhats/tse/i/RIMthe youngוְהָרַכִּיםve/ha/rak/KIMand tenderהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseוְאַרְכִּיבֵםve/ar/ki/VEMand I will graft themבְּכׇל־אֲשֶׁרbe/KHOL-a/SHERwhereverאֶחְפֹּץech/POTSI willוְלֹא־יִפָּלֵאve/LO-yip/pa/LEand it matters notאִם־יֹאבַדim-yo/VADif shall perishשֹׁרֶשׁSHO/reshthe rootהָעֵץha/ETSof the treeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisכִּיkiforאֶשְׁמֹרesh/MORI will preserveאֶת־פִּרְיוֹet-pir/YOits fruitלִיlito meלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeאֶקַּחek/KACHI will takeאֶת־הָעֲנָפִיםet-ha/a/na/FIMthe branchesהַצְּעִירִיםhats/tse/i/RIMthe youngוְהָרַכִּיםve/ha/rak/KIMand tenderהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseוְאַרְכִּיבֵםve/ar/ki/VEMand graft themבְּכׇל־אֲשֶׁרbe/KHOL-a/SHERwhereverאֶחְפֹּץ׃ech/POTSI will

   And behold, saith the Lord of the vineyard, I take away many of these young and tender branches, and I will graft them whithersoever I will; and it mattereth not that if it so be that the root of this tree will perish, I may preserve the fruit thereof unto myself; wherefore, I will take these young and tender branches, and I will graft them whithersoever I will.

   קַחkachtakeאֶת־עַנְפֵיet-an/FEthe branchesזַיִתZA/yitof the olive treeהַבַּרhab/BARthe wildוְהַרְכֵּבve/har/KEVand graftאוֹתָםo/TAMthemתַּחְתָּםtach/TAMin their steadוְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand theseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichקָטַפְתִּיka/taf/TII plucked offאַשְׁלִיךְash/LIKHI will castאֶל־הָאֵשׁel-ha/ESHinto the fireוְאֶשְׂרְפֵםve/es/re/FEMand I shall burn themלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatלֹא־יַכְבִּידוּlo-yakh/bi/DUthey shall not cumberעַל־אַדְמַתal-ad/MATthe groundכַּרְמִי׃kar/MIof my vineyard

   Take thou the branches of the wild olive tree, and graft them in, in the stead thereof; and these which I have plucked off I will cast into the fire and burn them, that they may not cumber the ground of my vineyard.

    וַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand didעֶבֶדE/vedthe servantאֲדוֹןa/DONof the masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardכִּדְבַרkid/VARaccording to the wordאֲדוֹןa/DONof the masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardוַיַּרְכֵּבvay/yar/KEVand grafted inאֶת־עַנְפֵיet-an/FEthe branchesזַיִתZA/yitof the olive treeהַבָּר׃hab/BARthe wild

    And it came to pass that the servant of the Lord of the vineyard did according to the word of the Lord of the vineyard, and grafted in the branches of the wild olive tree.

11. 11

    וַיְצַוvay/TSAVand commandedאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardלַעְדֹּרla/DORto dig aboutסְבִיבוֹse/vi/VOaround itוְלִזְמֹרve/liz/MORand to pruneוּלְטַפֵּחַu/le/tap/PE/achand to nourishוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאֶל־עַבְדּוֹel-av/DOunto his servantיֵצַרye/TSARit shall grieveלִיlimeכִּיkithatאֲאַבֵּדa/ab/BEDI should loseאֶת־הָעֵץet-ha/ETSthe treeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeאוּלַיu/LAYperhapsאֶשְׁמֹרesh/MORI may preserveאֶת־שׇׁרָשָׁיוet-sho/ra/SHAYVits rootsלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TIso that notיֹאבְדוּyo/ve/DUthey shall perishלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatאֶשְׁמְרֵםesh/me/REMI may preserve themלִיlito meעָשִׂיתִיa/SI/tiI didאֶת־הַדָּבָרet-had/da/VARthe thingהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    And the Lord of the vineyard caused that it should be digged about, and pruned, and nourished, saying unto his servant: It grieveth me that I should lose this tree; wherefore, that perhaps I might preserve the roots thereof that they perish not, that I might preserve them unto myself, I have done this thing.

12. 12

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowלֵךְlekhgoשְׁמֹרshe/MORwatchאֶת־הָעֵץet-ha/ETSthe treeוְטַפְּחֵהוּve/tap/pe/che/HUand nourish itכִּדְבָרָי׃kid/va/RAYaccording to my words

    Wherefore, go thy way; watch the tree, and nourish it, according to my words.

    וְאֶת־אֵלֶּהve/ET-EL/leand theseאָשִׂיםa/SIMI will setבְּתַחְתִּיּוֹתbe/tach/tiy/YOTin the nethermost partsכַּרְמִיkar/MIof my vineyardבְּכׇל־אֲשֶׁרbe/KHOL-a/SHERwhereverאֶחְפֹּץech/POTSI willוְלֹא־יִפָּלֵאve/LO-yip/pa/LEand it matters notבְּעֵינֶיךָbe/e/NE/khain your eyesוַאֲנִיva/a/NIand Iעֹשֶׂהo/SEam doingזֹאתzotthisלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatאֶשְׁמֹרesh/MORI may preserveלִיlito meאֶת־עַנְפֵיet-an/FEthe branchesהָעֵץha/ETSof the treeהָאֵםha/EMthe naturalוְגַםve/GAMand alsoלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatאֶצְבֹּרets/BORI may lay upפִּרְיוֹpir/YOits fruitלְמוֹעֵדle/mo/EDfor the seasonכִּיkiforיֵצַרye/TSARit shall grieveלִיlimeלְאַבֵּדle/ab/BEDto loseאֶת־הָעֵץet-ha/ETSthe treeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוּפִרְיוֹ׃u/fir/YOand its fruit

    And these will I place in the nethermost part of my vineyard, whithersoever I will, it mattereth not unto thee; and I do it that I may preserve unto myself the natural branches of the tree; and also, that I may lay up fruit thereof against the season, unto myself; for it grieveth me that I should lose this tree and the fruit thereof.

    וַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand wentאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardוַיַּסְתֵּרvay/yas/TERand hidאֶת־עַנְפֵיet-an/FEthe branchesזַיִתZA/yitof the olive treeהַתַּרְבּוּתhat/tar/BUTthe tameהָאֵםha/EMthe naturalבְּתַחְתִּיּוֹתbe/tach/tiy/YOTin the nethermost partsהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardאֵלֶּהEL/lesomeפֹּהpohereוְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand someשָׁםshamthereכִּרְצוֹנוֹkir/tso/NOaccording to his willוְחֶפְצוֹ׃ve/chef/TSOand pleasure

    And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard went his way, and hid the natural branches of the tame olive tree in the nethermost parts of the vineyard, some in one and some in another, according to his will and pleasure.

15. 15

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedמִקֵּץmik/KETSafterיָמִיםya/MIMdaysרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/mersaidאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardאֶל־עַבְדּוֹel-av/DOunto his servantבֹּאbocomeוְנֵרְדָהve/ner/DAlet us go downאֶל־הַכֶּרֶםel-hak/KE/reminto the vineyardלַעֲבֹדla/a/VODto laborבּוֹ׃boin it

    And it came to pass that a long time passed away, and the Lord of the vineyard said unto his servant: Come, let us go down into the vineyard, that we may labor in the vineyard.

16. 16

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatיָרְדוּya/re/DUdescendedאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardוְגַם־הָעֶבֶדve/GAM-ha/E/vedand also the servantאֶל־הַכֶּרֶםel-hak/KE/reminto the vineyardלַעֲבֹדla/a/VODto laborוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidהָעֶבֶדha/E/vedthe servantאֶל־אֲדֹנָיוel-a/do/NAYVunto his masterהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdרְאֵה־נָאre/E-nalook I prayהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהָעֵץ׃ha/ETSthe tree

    And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard, and also the servant, went down into the vineyard to labor. And it came to pass that the servant said unto his master: Behold, look here; behold the tree.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatהִבִּיטhib/BITlookedאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardוַיַּרְאvay/YARand beheldאֶת־הָעֵץet-ha/ETSthe treeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERin whichהֻרְכְּבוּhur/ke/VUhad been graftedבּוֹboin itעַנְפֵיan/FEthe branchesהַזַּיִתhaz/ZA/yitof the olive treeהַבַּרhab/BARthe wildוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdצָמַחtsa/MACHit sprang forthוַיָּחֶלvay/YA/cheland begunלָתֵתla/TETto giveפְּרִיpe/RIfruitוַיַּרְאvay/YARand sawכִּי־טוֹבki-tovthat goodהוּאhuit wasוּפִרְיוֹu/fir/YOand its fruitדָּמָהda/MAwas likeלִפְרִיlif/RIthe fruitהָאֵם׃ha/EMof the natural

    And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard looked and beheld the tree in the which the wild olive branches had been grafted; and it had sprung forth and begun to bear fruit. And he beheld that it was good; and the fruit thereof was like unto the natural fruit.

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאֶל־הָעֶבֶדel-ha/E/vedunto the servantהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdעַנְפֵיan/FEthe branchesהַבַּרhab/BARof the wildאָחֲזוּA/cha/zutook holdבְּלֵחוֹתbe/le/CHOTof the moistureהַשֹּׁרֶשׁhash/SHO/reshof the rootוְהוֹצִיאve/ho/TSIand brought forthהַשֹּׁרֶשׁhash/SHO/reshthe rootכֹּחַKO/achstrengthרַבravmuchוּבַעֲבוּרu/va/a/VURand becauseכֹּחַKO/achof the strengthהַשֹּׁרֶשׁhash/SHO/reshof the rootהָרַבha/RAVthe muchהוֹצִיאוּho/TSI/ubrought forthעַנְפֵיan/FEthe branchesהַבַּרhab/BARof the wildפְּרִיpe/RIfruitתַרְבּוּתtar/BUTtameוְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowלוּלֵאlu/LEhad we notהִרְכַּבְנוּhir/kav/NUgrafted inאֶת־הָעֲנָפִיםet-ha/a/na/FIMthe branchesהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseהָיָהha/YAwould have beenהָעֵץha/ETSthe treeאֹבֵדo/VEDperishingוְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֶצְבֹּרets/BORI will lay upפְּרִיpe/RIfruitרַבravmuchאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהוֹצִיאho/TSIbrought forthהָעֵץha/ETSthe treeוְאֶת־הַפְּרִיve/ET-hap/pe/RIand the fruitאֶצְבֹּרets/BORI will lay upלְמוֹעֵדle/mo/EDfor the seasonלִי׃lito me

    And he said unto the servant: Behold, the branches of the wild tree have taken hold of the moisture of the root thereof, that the root thereof hath brought forth much strength; and because of the much strength of the root thereof the wild branches have brought forth tame fruit. Now, if we had not grafted in these branches, the tree thereof would have perished. And now, behold, I shall lay up much fruit, which the tree thereof hath brought forth; and the fruit thereof I shall lay up against the season, unto mine own self.

19. 19

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardאֶל־הָעֶבֶדel-ha/E/vedunto the servantבֹּאbocomeוְנֵלְכָהve/nel/KHAand let us goאֶל־תַּחְתִּיּוֹתel-tach/tiy/YOTto the nethermost partsהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardוְנִרְאֶהve/nir/Eand let us seeאִם־לֹאim-loif notהוֹצִיאוּho/TSI/ubrought forthעַנְפֵיan/FEthe branchesהָעֵץha/ETSof the treeהָאֵםha/EMthe naturalגַּם־הֵםgam-hemalso theyפְּרִיpe/RIfruitרַבravmuchלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatאֶצְבֹּרets/BORI may lay upמִפִּרְיוֹmip/pir/YOof its fruitלְמוֹעֵדle/mo/EDfor the seasonלִי׃lito me

    And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard said unto the servant: Come, let us go to the nethermost part of the vineyard, and behold if the natural branches of the tree have not brought forth much fruit also, that I may lay up of the fruit thereof against the season, unto mine own self.

    And it came to pass that they went forth whither the master had hid the natural branches of the tree, and he said unto the servant: Behold these; and he beheld the first that it had brought forth much fruit; and he beheld also that it was good. And he said unto the servant: Take of the fruit thereof, and lay it up against the season, that I may preserve it unto mine own self; for behold, said he, this long time have I nourished it, and it hath brought forth much fruit.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatאָמַרa/MARsaidהָעֶבֶדha/E/vedthe servantאֶל־אֲדֹנָיוel-a/do/NAYVunto his masterאֵיךְekhhowבָּאתָBA/tacame youלִנְטֹעַlin/TO/ato plantאֶת־הָעֵץet-ha/ETSthe treeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאוֹoorאֶת־הֶעָנָףet-he/a/NAFthe branchהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisכִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהַמָּקוֹםham/ma/KOMthe spotהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisהָיָהha/YAwasהַדַּלhad/DALthe poorestמִכׇּל־אַדְמַתmik/KOL-ad/MATof all the groundכַרְמֶךָ׃khar/me/KHAof your vineyard

    And it came to pass that the servant said unto his master: How comest thou hither to plant this tree, or this branch of the tree? For behold, it was the poorest spot in all the land of thy vineyard.

    And the Lord of the vineyard said unto him: Counsel me not; I knew that it was a poor spot of ground; wherefore, I said unto thee, I have nourished it this long time, and thou beholdest that it hath brought forth much fruit.

23. 23

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatאָמַרa/MARsaidאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardאֶל־עַבְדּוֹel-av/DOunto his servantהַבֵּט־נָאhab/BET-nalook I prayהֵנָּהHEN/nahereהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdנָטַעְתִּיna/TA/tiI plantedעָנָףa/NAFa branchאַחֵרa/CHERanotherמִן־הָעֵץmin-ha/ETSof the treeגַּם־כֵּןgam-kenalsoוְיָדַעְתָּve/ya/da/TAand you knowכִּיkithatהַמָּקוֹםham/ma/KOMthe spotהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisדַּלdalpoorמִן־הָרִאשׁוֹןmin-ha/ri/SHONthan the firstאַךְakhbutרְאֵהre/Ebeholdאֶת־הָעֵץet-ha/ETSthe treeטִפַּחְתִּיוtip/pach/TIVI nourished itזֶהzethisיָמִיםya/MIMtimeרַבִּיםrab/BIMlongוְהוֹצִיאve/ho/TSIand it brought forthפְּרִיpe/RIfruitרָבravmuchלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeאֱסֹףe/SOFgatherאוֹתוֹo/TOitוּצְבֹרu/tse/VORand lay it upלְמוֹעֵדle/mo/EDfor the seasonלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatאֶשְׁמְרֵהוּesh/me/re/HUI may preserve itלִי׃lito me

    And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard said unto his servant: Look hither; behold I have planted another branch of the tree also; and thou knowest that this spot of ground was poorer than the first. But, behold the tree. I have nourished it this long time, and it hath brought forth much fruit; therefore, gather it, and lay it up against the season, that I may preserve it unto mine own self.

24. 24

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatאָמַרa/MARsaidאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardעוֹדodagainאֶל־עַבְדּוֹel-av/DOunto his servantהַבֵּט־נָאhab/BET-nalook I prayהֵנָּהHEN/nahereוּרְאֵהu/re/Eand beholdעָנָףa/NAFa branchאַחֵרa/CHERanotherגַּם־כֵּןgam-kenalsoאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנָטַעְתִּיna/TA/tiI plantedהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdטִפַּחְתִּיוtip/pach/TIVI nourishedגַּם־אוֹתוֹgam-o/TOit alsoוַיּוֹצֵאvay/yo/TSEand it brought forthפְּרִי׃pe/RIfruit

    And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard said again unto his servant: Look hither, and behold another branch also, which I have planted; behold that I have nourished it also, and it hath brought forth fruit.

25. 25

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand he saidאֶל־הָעֶבֶדel-ha/E/vedunto the servantהַבֵּט־נָאhab/BET-nalook I prayהֵנָּהHEN/nahereוּרְאֵהu/re/Eand beholdאֶת־הָאַחֲרוֹןet-ha/a/cha/RONthe lastהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdנָטַעְתִּיna/TA/tiI plantedזֶהzethisבְּמָקוֹםbe/ma/KOMin a spotטוֹבtovgoodהָאֲדָמָהha/a/da/MAof the groundוְטִפַּחְתִּיוve/tip/pach/TIVand nourished itזֶהzethisיָמִיםya/MIMtimeרַבִּיםrab/BIMlongוְרַקve/RAKand onlyחֵלֶקCHE/leka partמִן־הָעֵץmin-ha/ETSof the treeהוֹצִיאho/TSIbrought forthפְּרִיpe/RIfruitתַרְבּוּתtar/BUTtameוְהַחֵלֶקve/ha/CHE/lekand the partהָאַחֵרha/a/CHERthe otherהוֹצִיאho/TSIbrought forthפְּרִיpe/RIfruitהַבַּרhab/BARthe wildהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdטִפַּחְתִּיtip/PACH/tiI nourishedאֶת־הָעֵץet-ha/ETSthe treeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisכְּמוֹke/MOlike untoהָאֲחֵרִים׃ha/a/che/RIMthe others

    And he said unto the servant: Look hither and behold the last. Behold, this have I planted in a good spot of ground; and I have nourished it this long time, and only a part of the tree hath brought forth tame fruit, and the other part of the tree hath brought forth wild fruit; behold, I have nourished this tree like unto the others.

26. 26

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatאָמַרa/MARsaidאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardאֶל־הָעֶבֶדel-ha/E/vedunto the servantקְטֹףke/TOFpluck offאֶת־הָעֲנָפִיםet-ha/a/na/FIMthe branchesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichלֹאlohave notהוֹצִיאוּho/TSI/ubrought forthפְּרִיpe/RIfruitטוֹבtovgoodוְהַשְׁלִיכֵםve/hash/li/KHEMand cast themאֶל־הָאֵשׁ׃el-ha/ESHinto the fire

    And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard said unto the servant: Pluck off the branches that have not brought forth good fruit, and cast them into the fire.

27. 27

    אַךְakhbutהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאָמַרa/MARsaidהָעֶבֶדha/E/vedthe servantאֵלָיוe/LAYVunto himנִזְמֹרniz/MORlet us pruneאוֹתוֹo/TOitוְנַעְדֹּרve/na/DORand dig aboutסְבִיבוֹse/vi/VOaround itוּנְטַפְּחֵהוּu/ne/tap/pe/che/HUand nourish itעוֹדodyetמְעַטme/ATa littleאוּלַיu/LAYperhapsיוֹצִיאyo/TSIit may bring forthפְּרִיpe/RIfruitטוֹבtovgoodלְךָle/KHAunto youוְתוּכַלve/tu/KHALand you mayלִצְבֹּרlits/BORto lay upאוֹתוֹo/TOitלְמוֹעֵד׃le/mo/EDfor the season

    But behold, the servant said unto him: Let us prune it, and dig about it, and nourish it a little longer, that perhaps it may bring forth good fruit unto thee, that thou canst lay it up against the season.

28. 28

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatטִפְּחוּtip/pe/CHUnourishedאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardוְעֶבֶדve/E/vedand the servantאֲדוֹןa/DONof the masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardאֶת־כׇּל־פְּרִיet-kol-pe/RIall the fruitהַכָּרֶם׃hak/KA/remof the vineyard

    And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard and the servant of the Lord of the vineyard did nourish all the fruit of the vineyard.

29. 29

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedמִקֵּץmik/KETSafterיָמִיםya/MIMdaysרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/mersaidאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardאֶל־עַבְדּוֹel-av/DOunto his servantבֹּאbocomeוְנֵרְדָהve/ner/DAlet us go downאֶל־הַכֶּרֶםel-hak/KE/reminto the vineyardלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatנַעֲבֹדna/a/VODwe may laborעוֹדodagainבַּכָּרֶםbak/KA/remin the vineyardכִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהַמּוֹעֵדham/mo/EDthe timeקָרֵבka/REVdraws nearוְהַקֵּץve/hak/KETSand the endיָבוֹאya/VOcomesמְהֵרָהme/he/RAsoonלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeצָבֹרtsa/VORmustאֶצְבֹּרets/BORlay upפְּרִיpe/RIfruitלְמוֹעֵדle/mo/EDfor the seasonלִי׃lito me

    And it came to pass that a long time had passed away, and the Lord of the vineyard said unto his servant: Come, let us go down into the vineyard, that we may labor again in the vineyard. For behold, the time draweth near, and the end soon cometh; wherefore, I must lay up fruit against the season, unto mine own self.

30. 30

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatיָרְדוּya/re/DUdescendedאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardוְהָעֶבֶדve/ha/E/vedand the servantאֶל־הַכָּרֶםel-hak/KA/reminto the vineyardוַיָּבֹאוּvay/ya/VO/uand they cameאֶל־הָעֵץel-ha/ETSunto the treeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseנִשְׁבְּרוּnish/be/RUhad been broken offעַנְפֵיan/FEthe branchesהָעֵץha/ETSof the treeהָאֵםha/EMthe naturalוְהֻרְכְּבוּve/hur/ke/VUand grafted inעַנְפֵיan/FEthe branchesהַבַּרhab/BARof the wildוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdהִכְבִּידוּhikh/BI/dudid cumberכׇּל־מִינֵיkol-mi/NEall mannerפְּרִיpe/RIof fruitעַל־הָעֵץ׃al-ha/ETSupon the tree

    And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard and the servant went down into the vineyard; and they came to the tree whose natural branches had been broken off, and the wild branches had been grafted in; and behold all sorts of fruit did cumber the tree.

31. 31

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatטָעַםta/AMtastedאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardמִן־הַפְּרִיmin-hap/pe/RIof the fruitכׇּל־מִיןkol-minevery sortלְמִסְפָּרוֹle/mis/pa/ROaccording to its numberוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdזֶהzethisיָמִיםya/MIMtimeרַבִּיםrab/BIMlongטִפַּחְנוּtip/pach/NUwe nourishedאֶת־הָעֵץet-ha/ETSthe treeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְצָבַרְתִּיve/tsa/var/TIand I laid upלִיlito meפְּרִיpe/RIfruitרַבravmuchלְמוֹעֵד׃le/mo/EDfor the season

    And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard did taste of the fruit, every sort according to its number. And the Lord of the vineyard said: Behold, this long time have we nourished this tree, and I have laid up unto myself against the season much fruit.

32. 32

    אַךְakhbutהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdבַּפַּעַםbap/PA/amat the timeהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisהוֹצִיאho/TSIit brought forthפְּרִיpe/RIfruitרַבravmuchוְאֵין־בּוֹve/EN-boand there is none in itטוֹבtovgoodוְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdיֵשׁyeshthere areכׇּל־מִינֵיkol-mi/NEall mannerפְּרִיpe/RIof fruitרַעrabadוְלֹא־יוֹעִילve/LO-yo/ILand it does not profitלִיlimeמְאוּמָהme/U/maanythingעַלalnotwithstandingכׇּל־עֲמָלֵנוּkol-a/ma/LE/nuall our laborוְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowיֵצַרye/TSARit shall grieveלִיlimeכִּיkithatאֲאַבֵּדa/ab/BEDI should loseאֶת־הָעֵץet-ha/ETSthe treeהַזֶּה׃haz/ZEthis

    But behold, this time it hath brought forth much fruit, and there is none of it which is good. And behold, there are all kinds of bad fruit; and it profiteth me nothing, notwithstanding all our labor; and now it grieveth me that I should lose this tree.

33. 33

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardאֶל־הָעֶבֶדel-ha/E/vedunto the servantמַה־נַּעֲשֶׂהma-na/a/SEwhat shall we doלָעֵץla/ETSunto the treeלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatאֶשְׁמֹרesh/MORI may preserveעוֹדodagainפְּרִיpe/RIfruitטוֹבtovgoodמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nufrom itלִי׃lito me

    And the Lord of the vineyard said unto the servant: What shall we do unto the tree, that I may preserve again good fruit thereof unto mine own self?

34. 34

    וַיַּעַןvay/YA/anand answeredהָעֶבֶדha/E/vedthe servantאֶל־אֲדֹנָיוel-a/do/NAYVunto his masterהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdכִּיkibecauseהִרְכַּבְתָּhir/KAV/tayou grafted inאֶת־עַנְפֵיet-an/FEthe branchesזַיִתZA/yitof the olive treeהַבַּרhab/BARthe wildהֵםhemtheyהֶחֱיוּhe/che/YUkept aliveאֶת־הַשָּׁרָשִׁיםet-hash/sha/ra/SHIMthe rootsוְלֹאve/LOand notמֵתוּME/tudiedלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeהִנְּךָhin/ne/KHAbehold youרֹאֶהro/Eseeכִּיkithatעוֹדָםo/DAMthey are yetטוֹבִים׃to/VIMgood

    And the servant said unto his master: Behold, because thou didst graft in the branches of the wild olive tree they have nourished the roots, that they are alive and they have not perished; wherefore thou beholdest that they are yet good.

35. 35

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatאָמַרa/MARsaidאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardאֶל־עַבְדּוֹel-av/DOunto his servantלֹא־יוֹעִילlo-yo/ILdoes not profitלִיlimeהָעֵץha/ETSthe treeוְלֹא־יוֹעִילוּve/LO-yo/I/luand do not profitלִיlimeהַשָּׁרָשִׁיםhash/sha/ra/SHIMthe rootsכׇּל־עוֹדkol-odas long asיוֹצִיאyo/TSIshall bring forthפְּרִיpe/RIfruitרָע׃raevil

    And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard said unto his servant: The tree profiteth me nothing, and the roots thereof profit me nothing so long as it shall bring forth evil fruit.

36. 36

    אַךְakhbutיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowכִּיkithatהַשָּׁרָשִׁיםhash/sha/ra/SHIMthe rootsטוֹבִיםto/VIMare goodוּלְמַעַןu/le/MA/anand for the sakeחֶפְצִיchef/TSIof my own purposeשָׁמַרְתִּיsha/MAR/tiI preservedאוֹתָםo/TAMthemוּבַעֲבוּרu/va/a/VURand becauseכֹּחָםko/CHAMof their strengthהָרַבha/RAVthe greatהוֹצִיאוּho/TSI/uthey brought forthעַד־עַתָּהad-at/TAuntil nowמֵעַנְפֵיme/an/FEfrom the branchesהַבַּרhab/BARof the wildפְּרִיpe/RIfruitטוֹב׃tovgood

    Nevertheless, I know that the roots are good, and for mine own purpose I have preserved them; and because of their much strength they have hitherto brought forth, from the wild branches, good fruit.

37. 37

    אַךְakhbutהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdגָדְלוּga/de/LUgrewעַנְפֵיan/FEthe branchesהַבַּרhab/BARof the wildוַיַּעַבְרוּvay/ya/av/RUand they overranעַל־שׇׁרָשָׁיוal-sho/ra/SHAYVupon its rootsוְיַעַןve/YA/anand becauseכִּיkithatגָבְרוּga/ve/RUovercameעַנְפֵיan/FEthe branchesהַבַּרhab/BARof the wildעַל־שׇׁרָשָׁיוal-sho/ra/SHAYVupon its rootsהוֹצִיאho/TSIit brought forthפְּרִיpe/RIfruitרַעraevilרָבravmuchוְיַעַןve/YA/anand becauseכִּיkithatהוֹצִיאho/TSIit brought forthפְּרִיpe/RIfruitרַעraevilרָבravmuchהִנְּךָhin/ne/KHAbehold youרֹאֶהro/Eseeכִּיkithatהֵחֵלhe/CHELbeganלִנְבֹלlin/VOLto decayוְיִהְיֶהve/yih/YEand it will beבָשֵׁלva/SHELripeמְהֵרָהme/he/RAsoonלְהַשְׁלִיכוֹle/hash/li/KHOto be castאֶל־הָאֵשׁel-ha/ESHinto the fireאִם־לֹאim-loexceptנַעֲשֶׂהna/a/SEwe should doדָבָרda/VARsomethingלְשׇׁמְרוֹ׃le/shom/ROto preserve it

    But behold, the wild branches have grown and have overrun the roots thereof; and because that the wild branches have overcome the roots thereof it hath brought forth much evil fruit; and because that it hath brought forth so much evil fruit thou beholdest that it beginneth to perish; and it will soon become ripened, that it may be cast into the fire, except we should do something for it to preserve it.

38. 38

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatאָמַרa/MARsaidאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardאֶל־עַבְדּוֹel-av/DOunto his servantנֵרְדָהner/DAlet us go downאֶל־תַּחְתִּיּוֹתel-tach/tiy/YOTinto the nethermost partsהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardוְנִרְאֶהve/nir/Eand let us seeאִם־הוֹצִיאוּim-ho/TSI/uif brought forthעַנְפֵיan/FEthe branchesהָעֵץha/ETSof the treeהָאֵםha/EMthe naturalגַּם־הֵםgam-hemalso theyפְּרִיpe/RIfruitרָע׃raevil

    And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard said unto his servant: Let us go down into the nethermost parts of the vineyard, and behold if the natural branches have also brought forth evil fruit.

39. 39

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatיָרְדוּya/re/DUthey descendedאֶל־תַּחְתִּיּוֹתel-tach/tiy/YOTinto the nethermost partsהַכָּרֶםhak/KA/remof the vineyardוַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatרָאוּra/Uthey sawכִּיkithatנִשְׁחַתnish/CHATbecame corruptגַּם־פְּרִיgam-pe/RIalso the fruitעַנְפֵיan/FEof the branchesהָעֵץha/ETSof the treeהָאֵםha/EMthe naturalהָרִאשׁוֹןha/ri/SHONthe firstוְהַשֵּׁנִיve/hash/she/NIand the secondוְגַםve/GAMand alsoהָאַחֲרוֹןha/a/cha/RONthe lastוְכֻלָּםve/khul/LAMand they had allנִשְׁחָתוּ׃nish/cha/TUbecome corrupt

    And it came to pass that they went down into the nethermost parts of the vineyard. And it came to pass that they beheld that the fruit of the natural branches had become corrupt also; yea, the first and the second and also the last; and they had all become corrupt.

40. 40

    וַיַּעֲבֹרvay/ya/a/VORand overcameפְּרִיpe/RIthe fruitבַרvarwildהָאַחֲרוֹןha/a/cha/RONthe lastעַל־הַחֵלֶקal-ha/CHE/lekupon the partאֲשֶׁרa/SHERof whichהוֹצִיאho/TSIbrought forthפְּרִיpe/RIfruitטוֹבtovgoodעַד־כִּיad-kiuntil thatיָבֵשׁya/VESHwithered awayהֶעָנָףhe/a/NAFthe branchוַיָּמֹת׃vay/ya/MOTand it died

    And the wild fruit of the last had overcome that part of the tree which brought forth good fruit, even that the branch had withered away and died.

41. 41

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatבָּכָהba/KHAweptאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardוַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֶל־הָעֶבֶדel-ha/E/vedunto the servantמַה־עוֹדma-odwhat moreיָכֹלְתִּיya/KHOL/ticould Iלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOThave doneלְכַרְמִי׃le/khar/MIfor my vineyard

    And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard wept, and said unto the servant: What could I have done more for my vineyard?

42. 42

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knewכִּיkithatכׇּל־פְּרִיkol-pe/RIall the fruitהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardזוּלַתzu/LATsave it wereאֵלֶּהEL/letheseנִשְׁחַתnish/CHATbecame corruptוְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowגַּם־אֵלֶּהgam-EL/leeven theseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהוֹצִיאוּho/TSI/ubrought forthפַּעַםPA/amonceפְּרִיpe/RIfruitטוֹבtovgoodנִשְׁחֲתוּnish/cha/TUbecame corruptוְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowלֹאlonotיִצְלְחוּyits/le/CHUare goodכׇּל־עֲצֵיkol-a/TSEall the treesכַּרְמִיkar/MIof my vineyardלְדָבָרle/da/VARfor anythingזוּלַתzu/LATsave it beלְהִכָּרֵתle/hik/ka/RETto be hewn downוּלְהַשְׁלִיכָםu/le/hash/li/KHAMand cast themאֶל־הָאֵשׁ׃el-ha/ESHinto the fire

    Behold, I knew that all the fruit of the vineyard, save it were these, had become corrupted. And now these which have once brought forth good fruit have also become corrupted; and now all the trees of my vineyard are good for nothing save it be to be hewn down and cast into the fire.

43. 43

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdהָאַחֲרוֹןha/a/cha/RONthe lastהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseיָבֵשׁya/VESHwithered awayעֲנָפוֹa/na/FOits branchנָטַעְתִּיna/TA/tiI plantedבְּמָקוֹםbe/ma/KOMin a spotטוֹבtovgoodהָאֲדָמָהha/a/da/MAof the groundאַףafyeaבְּמָקוֹםbe/ma/KOMin a spotהַנִּבְחָרhan/niv/CHARwhich was chosenלִיliunto meמִכׇּל־חֶלְקֵיmik/KOL-chel/KEabove all the partsכַּרְמִי׃kar/MIof my vineyard

    And behold this last, whose branch hath withered away, I did plant in a good spot of ground; yea, even that which was choice unto me above all other parts of the land of my vineyard.

44. 44

    And thou beheldest that I also cut down that which cumbered this spot of ground, that I might plant this tree in the stead thereof.

    And thou beheldest that a part thereof brought forth good fruit, and a part thereof brought forth wild fruit; and because I plucked not the branches thereof and cast them into the fire, behold, they have overcome the good branch that it hath withered away.

46. 46

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdעַלalnotwithstandingכׇּל־הַטִּפּוּחַkol-hat/tip/PU/achall the careאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichטִפַּחְנוּtip/pach/NUwe nourishedאֶת־כַּרְמִיet-kar/MImy vineyardנִשְׁחֲתוּnish/cha/TUbecame corruptהָעֵצִיםha/e/TSIMthe treesוְאֵינָםve/e/NAMand they do notמוֹצִיאִיםmo/tsi/IMbring forthפְּרִיpe/RIfruitטוֹבtovgoodוְאֶת־אֵלֶּהve/ET-EL/leand theseקִוִּיתִיkiv/VI/tiI hopedלִשְׁמֹרlish/MORto preserveלִצְבֹּרlits/BORto lay upפִּרְיָםpir/YAMtheir fruitלְמוֹעֵדle/mo/EDfor the seasonלִיlito meאַךְakhbutהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהָיוּha/YUwereכְּזַיִתke/ZA/yitlike unto the olive treeהַבַּרhab/BARthe wildוְאֵיןve/ENand there is notבָּםbamin themמוֹעִילmo/ILany worthזוּלַתzu/LATsave it beלְהִכָּרֵתle/hik/ka/RETto be hewn downוּלְהַשְׁלִיכָםu/le/hash/li/KHAMand to be castאֶל־הָאֵשׁel-ha/ESHinto the fireוַיֵּצַרvay/ye/TSARand it grievesלִיlimeכִּיkithatאֲאַבֵּדa/ab/BEDI should loseאוֹתָם׃o/TAMthem

    And now, behold, notwithstanding all the care which we have taken of my vineyard, the trees thereof have become corrupted, that they bring forth no good fruit; and these I had hoped to preserve, to have laid up fruit thereof against the season, unto mine own self. But, behold, they have become like unto the wild olive tree, and they are of no worth but to be hewn down and cast into the fire; and it grieveth me that I should lose them.

    But what could I have done more in my vineyard? Have I slackened mine hand, that I have not nourished it? Nay, I have nourished it, and I have digged about it, and I have pruned it, and I have dunged it; and I have stretched forth mine hand almost all the day long, and the end draweth nigh. And it grieveth me that I should hew down all the trees of my vineyard, and cast them into the fire that they should be burned. Who is it that has corrupted my vineyard?

    And it came to pass that the servant said unto his master: Is it not the loftiness of thy vineyard—have not the branches thereof overcome the roots which are good? And because the branches have overcome the roots thereof, behold they grew faster than the strength of the roots, taking strength unto themselves. Behold, I say, is not this the cause that the trees of thy vineyard have become corrupted?

49. 49

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatאָמַרa/MARsaidאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardאֶל־הָעֶבֶדel-ha/E/vedunto the servantהָבָהHA/vacomeנֵלְכָהnel/KHAlet us goוְנִכְרֹתve/nikh/ROTand hew downאֶת־עֲצֵיet-a/TSEthe treesהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardוְנַשְׁלִיכֵםve/nash/li/KHEMand cast themאֶל־הָאֵשׁel-ha/ESHinto the fireלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatלֹאlonotיַכְבִּידוּyakh/bi/DUthey shall cumberעַל־אַדְמַתal-ad/MATupon the groundכַּרְמִיkar/MIof my vineyardכִּיkiforעָשִׂיתִיa/SI/tiI didהַכֹּלhak/KOLallמַה־עוֹדma-odwhat moreיָכֹלְתִּיya/KHOL/ticould Iלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOThave doneלְכַרְמִי׃le/khar/MIfor my vineyard

    And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard said unto the servant: Let us go to and hew down the trees of the vineyard and cast them into the fire, that they shall not cumber the ground of my vineyard, for I have done all. What could I have done more for my vineyard?

50. 50

    But, behold, the servant said unto the Lord of the vineyard: Spare it a little longer.

51. 51

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe masterכֵּןkenyeaאָחוּסa/CHUSI will spareעָלָיוa/LAYVupon itעוֹדodyetמְעַטme/ATa littleכִּיkiforיֵצַרye/TSARit shall grieveלִיlimeלְאַבֵּדle/ab/BEDto loseאֶת־עֲצֵיet-a/TSEthe treesכַּרְמִי׃kar/MIof my vineyard

    And the Lord said: Yea, I will spare it a little longer, for it grieveth me that I should lose the trees of my vineyard.

52. 52

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeנִקַּחnik/KACHlet us takeמֵעַנְפֵיme/an/FEof the branchesאֵלֶּהEL/leof theseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנָטַעְתִּיna/TA/tiI plantedבְּתַחְתִּיּוֹתbe/tach/tiy/YOTin the nethermost partsכַּרְמִיkar/MIof my vineyardוְנַרְכִּיבֵםve/nar/ki/VEMand graft themבָּעֵץba/ETSinto the treeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיָצְאוּya/tse/Uwent forthמִמֶּנּוּmim/MEN/nufrom itוְנִקְטֹףve/nik/TOFand let us pluckמִן־הָעֵץmin-ha/ETSfrom the treeאֶת־הָעֲנָפִיםet-ha/a/na/FIMthe branchesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoseפִּרְיָםpir/YAMtheir fruit isמַרmarbitterמְאֹדme/ODexceedinglyוְנַרְכִּיבve/nar/KIVand graft inתַּחְתֵּיהֶםtach/te/HEMin their steadאֶת־עַנְפֵיet-an/FEthe branchesהָעֵץha/ETSof the treeהָאֵם׃ha/EMthe natural

    Wherefore, let us take of the branches of these which I have planted in the nethermost parts of my vineyard, and let us graft them into the tree from whence they came; and let us pluck from the tree those branches whose fruit is most bitter, and graft in the natural branches of the tree in the stead thereof.

53. 53

    וְזֹאתve/ZOTand thisאֶעֱשֶׂהe/e/SEI will doלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatלֹא־יֹאבַדlo-yo/VADshall not perishהָעֵץha/ETSthe treeאוּלַיu/LAYperhapsאֶשְׁמֹרesh/MORI may preserveלִיlito meאֶת־שׇׁרָשָׁיוet-sho/ra/SHAYVits rootsלְחֶפְצִי׃le/chef/TSIfor my own purpose

    And this will I do that the tree may not perish, that, perhaps, I may preserve unto myself the roots thereof for mine own purpose.

54. 54

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdשׇׁרְשֵׁיshor/SHEthe rootsעַנְפֵיan/FEof the branchesהָעֵץha/ETSof the treeהָאֵםha/EMthe naturalאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנָטַעְתִּיna/TA/tiI plantedבְּכׇל־אֲשֶׁרbe/KHOL-a/SHERwhereverחָפַצְתִּיcha/FATS/tiI wouldעוֹדָםo/DAMare yetחַיִּיםchay/YIMaliveלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatאֶשְׁמֹרesh/MORI may preserveגַם־אוֹתָםgam-o/TAMthem alsoלְחֶפְצִיle/chef/TSIfor my own purposeאֶקַּחek/KACHI will takeמֵעַנְפֵיme/an/FEof the branchesהָעֵץha/ETSof the treeהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisוְאַרְכִּיבֵםve/ar/ki/VEMand I will graft themבָּהֶםba/HEMinto themאַףafyeaאַרְכִּיבar/KIVI will graftבָּהֶםba/HEMinto themאֶת־עַנְפֵיet-an/FEthe branchesעֵץetsof the treeאִמָּםim/MAMtheir motherלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatאֶשְׁמֹרesh/MORI may preserveגַםgamalsoאֶת־הַשָּׁרָשִׁיםet-hash/sha/ra/SHIMthe rootsלִיlito meאוּלַיu/LAYperhapsבִּהְיוֹתָםbih/yo/TAMin their beingחֲזָקִיםcha/za/KIMstrongדַּיָּםday/YAMsufficientlyיוֹצִיאוּyo/TSI/uthey may bring forthלִיliunto meפְּרִיpe/RIfruitטוֹבtovgoodוְעוֹדve/ODand yetאֶתְפָּאֵרet/pa/ERhave gloryבִּפְרִיbif/RIin the fruitכַּרְמִי׃kar/MIof my vineyard

    And, behold, the roots of the natural branches of the tree which I planted whithersoever I would are yet alive; wherefore, that I may preserve them also for mine own purpose, I will take of the branches of this tree, and I will graft them in unto them. Yea, I will graft in unto them the branches of their mother tree, that I may preserve the roots also unto mine own self, that when they shall be sufficiently strong perhaps they may bring forth good fruit unto me, and I may yet have glory in the fruit of my vineyard.

55. 55

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatלָקְחוּla/ke/CHUthey tookמִן־הָעֵץmin-ha/ETSfrom the treeהָאֵםha/EMthe naturalאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהָיָהha/YAwasלְבַרle/VARwildוַיַּרְכִּיבוּvay/yar/KI/vuand grafted inבַּעֲצֵיba/a/TSEinto the treesהָאֵםha/EMof the naturalאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichגַּם־הֵםgam-hemalso theyהָיוּha/YUwereלְבַר׃le/VARwild

    And it came to pass that they took from the natural tree which had become wild, and grafted in unto the natural trees, which also had become wild.

56. 56

    וַיִּקְחוּvay/yik/CHUand they tookגַםgamalsoמֵעֲצֵיme/a/TSEfrom the treesהָאֵםha/EMof the naturalאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהָיוּha/YUwereלְבַרle/VARwildוַיַּרְכִּיבוּvay/yar/KI/vuand graftedבְּעֵץbe/ETSinto the treeאִמָּם׃im/MAMtheir mother

    And they also took of the natural trees which had become wild, and grafted into their mother tree.

57. 57

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardאֶל־הָעֶבֶדel-ha/E/vedunto the servantאַל־תִּקְטֹףal-tik/TOFdo not pluck offאֶת־עַנְפֵיet-an/FEthe branchesהַבַּרhab/BARof the wildמִן־הָעֵצִיםmin-ha/e/TSIMfrom the treesזוּלַתzu/LATsave it beאֵלֶּהEL/lethoseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhich areמָרִיםma/RIMbitterמְאֹדme/ODexceedinglyוּבָהֶםu/va/HEMand in themתַּרְכִּיבוּtar/ki/VUyou shall graftכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasאָמַרְתִּי׃a/MAR/tiI said

    And the Lord of the vineyard said unto the servant: Pluck not the wild branches from the trees, save it be those which are most bitter; and in them ye shall graft according to that which I have said.

58. 58

    וּנְטַפֵּחַu/ne/tap/PE/achand we will nourishעוֹדodagainאֶת־עֲצֵיet-a/TSEthe treesהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardוְנִזְמֹרve/niz/MORand we will trim upאֶת־עַנְפֵיהֶםet-an/fe/HEMtheir branchesוְנִקְטֹףve/nik/TOFand we will pluckמִן־הָעֵצִיםmin-ha/e/TSIMfrom the treesאֶת־הָעֲנָפִיםet-ha/a/na/FIMthe branchesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבָּשְׁלוּba/she/LUripenedאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאָבֹדa/VODmustיֹאבְדוּyo/ve/DUperishוְנַשְׁלִיכֵםve/nash/li/KHEMand cast themאֶל־הָאֵשׁ׃el-ha/ESHinto the fire

    And we will nourish again the trees of the vineyard, and we will trim up the branches thereof; and we will pluck from the trees those branches which are ripened, that must perish, and cast them into the fire.

59. 59

    וְזֹאתve/ZOTand thisאֶעֱשֶׂהe/e/SEI will doאוּלַיu/LAYperhapsיִקְחוּyik/CHUmay takeהַשָּׁרָשִׁיםhash/sha/ra/SHIMthe rootsכֹּחַKO/achstrengthבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofטוּבָםtu/VAMtheir goodnessוּבַעֲבוּרu/va/a/VURand becauseהַחֲלָפַתha/cha/la/FATof the changeהָעֲנָפִיםha/a/na/FIMof the branchesלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִגְבַּרyig/BARmay overcomeהַטּוֹבhat/TOVthe goodעַלaloverהָרָע׃ha/RAthe evil

    And this I do that, perhaps, the roots thereof may take strength because of their goodness; and because of the change of the branches, that the good may overcome the evil.

60. 60

    וְיַעַןve/YA/anand becauseשָׁמַרְתִּיsha/MAR/tiI preservedאֶת־עַנְפֵיet-an/FEthe branchesהָעֵץha/ETSof the treeהָאֵםha/EMthe naturalוְשׇׁרְשֵׁיהֶםve/shor/she/HEMand their rootsוְיַעַןve/YA/anand becauseהִרְכַּבְתִּיhir/kav/TII grafted inעוֹדodagainאֶת־עַנְפֵיet-an/FEthe branchesהָעֵץha/ETSof the treeהָאֵםha/EMthe naturalבְּעֵץbe/ETSinto the treeאִמָּםim/MAMtheir motherוְשָׁמַרְתִּיve/sha/MAR/tiand preservedאֶת־שׇׁרְשֵׁיet-shor/SHEthe rootsעֵץetsof the treeאִמָּםim/MAMtheir motherאוּלַיu/LAYperhapsיוֹצִיאוּyo/TSI/uthey may bring forthעוֹדodagainעֲצֵיa/TSEthe treesכַּרְמִיkar/MIof my vineyardפְּרִיpe/RIfruitטוֹבtovgoodוְאֶשְׂמַחve/es/MACHand I may have joyעוֹדodagainבִּפְרִיbif/RIin the fruitכַּרְמִיkar/MIof my vineyardוְאוּלַיve/u/LAYand perhapsאֶשְׂמַחes/MACHI may rejoiceמְאֹדme/ODexceedinglyכִּיkithatשָׁמַרְתִּיsha/MAR/tiI preservedאֶת־הַשָּׁרָשִׁיםet-hash/sha/ra/SHIMthe rootsוְעַנְפֵיve/an/FEand the branchesהַפְּרִיhap/pe/RIof the fruitהָרִאשׁוֹן׃ha/ri/SHONthe first

    And because that I have preserved the natural branches and the roots thereof, and that I have grafted in the natural branches again into their mother tree, and have preserved the roots of their mother tree, that, perhaps, the trees of my vineyard may bring forth again good fruit; and that I may have joy again in the fruit of my vineyard, and, perhaps, that I may rejoice exceedingly that I have preserved the roots and the branches of the first fruit—

61. 61

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeלֵךְlekhgoוּקְרָאu/ke/RAand callלַעֲבָדִיםla/a/va/DIMfor servantsלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatנַעֲבֹדna/a/VODwe may laborבְּכׇל־כֹּחֵנוּbe/KHOL-ko/che/NUwith all our mightבַּכֶּרֶםbak/KE/remin the vineyardלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatנָכִיןna/KHINwe may prepareאֶת־הַדֶּרֶךְet-had/DE/rekhthe wayלְהוֹצִיאle/ho/TSIto bring forthעוֹדodagainאֶת־פְּרִיet-pe/RIthe fruitהָאֵםha/EMof the naturalאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהוּאhuit isטוֹבtovgoodוְיָקָרve/ya/KARand most preciousמִכׇּל־פְּרִיmik/KOL-pe/RIabove all fruitאַחֵר׃a/CHERother

    Wherefore, go to, and call servants, that we may labor diligently with our might in the vineyard, that we may prepare the way, that I may bring forth again the natural fruit, which natural fruit is good and the most precious above all other fruit.

62. 62

    Wherefore, let us go to and labor with our might this last time, for behold the end draweth nigh, and this is for the last time that I shall prune my vineyard.

63. 63

    Graft in the branches; begin at the last that they may be first, and that the first may be last, and dig about the trees, both old and young, the first and the last; and the last and the first, that all may be nourished once again for the last time.

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeעִדְרוּid/RUdig aboutסְבִיבָםse/vi/VAMaround themוְזִמְרוּve/zim/RUand pruneאוֹתָםo/TAMthemוְשִׂימוּve/SI/muand putלָהֶםla/HEMto themדֹּמֶןDO/mendungעוֹדodyetפַּעַםPA/amtimeאַחַתa/CHAToneבַּפַּעַםbap/PA/amfor the timeהָאַחֲרוֹנָהha/a/cha/ro/NAthe lastכִּיkiforקָרֵבka/REVdraws nearהַקֵּץhak/KETSthe endוְאִם־יִהְיֶהve/IM-yih/YEand if it shall beכִּיkithatיִצְמְחוּyits/me/CHUthey shall growהַהַרְכָּבוֹתha/har/ka/VOTthe graftsהָאַחֲרוֹנוֹתha/a/cha/ro/NOTthe lastהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseוְיוֹצִיאוּve/yo/TSI/uand they shall bring forthפְּרִיpe/RIthe fruitהָאֵםha/EMof the naturalאָזazthenתָּכִינוּta/khi/NUshall you prepareלָהֶםla/HEMfor themאֶת־הַדֶּרֶךְet-had/DE/rekhthe wayלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִצְמָחוּ׃yits/MA/chuthey may grow

    Wherefore, dig about them, and prune them, and dung them once more, for the last time, for the end draweth nigh. And if it be so that these last grafts shall grow, and bring forth the natural fruit, then shall ye prepare the way for them, that they may grow.

65. 65

    וּבְהַחִלָּםu/ve/ha/chil/LAMand as they beginלִצְמֹחַlits/MO/achto growתְּפַנּוּte/fan/NUyou shall clear awayאֶת־הָעֲנָפִיםet-ha/a/na/FIMthe branchesהַמּוֹצִיאִיםham/mo/tsi/IMwhich bring forthפְּרִיpe/RIfruitמַרmarbitterלְפִיle/FIaccording toכֹּחַKO/achthe strengthהַטּוֹבhat/TOVof the goodוְגׇדְלוֹve/god/LOand its sizeוְלֹאve/LOand notתְפַנּוּte/fan/NUshall you clear awayאֶת־הָרַעet-ha/RAthe badכֻּלּוֹkul/LOall of itבְּפַעַםbe/FA/amat a timeאַחַתa/CHAToneפֶּן־יִהְיוּpen-yih/YUlest they beשׇׁרְשֵׁיהֶםshor/she/HEMtheir rootsחֲזָקִיםcha/za/KIMstrongמִן־הַהַרְכָּבָהmin-ha/har/ka/VAthan the graftוְתֹאבַדve/to/VADand shall perishהַהַרְכָּבָהha/har/ka/VAthe graftוַאֲאַבֵּדva/a/ab/BEDand I shall loseאֶת־עֲצֵיet-a/TSEthe treesכַּרְמִי׃kar/MIof my vineyard

    And as they begin to grow ye shall clear away the branches which bring forth bitter fruit, according to the strength of the good and the size thereof; and ye shall not clear away the bad thereof all at once, lest the roots thereof should be too strong for the graft, and the graft thereof shall perish, and I lose the trees of my vineyard.

66. 66

    כִּיkiforיֵצַרye/TSARit shall grieveלִיlimeלְאַבֵּדle/ab/BEDto loseאֶת־עֲצֵיet-a/TSEthe treesכַּרְמִיkar/MIof my vineyardלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeתְּפַנּוּte/fan/NUyou shall clear awayאֶת־הָרַעet-ha/RAthe badכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERaccording asיִגְדַּלyig/DALit shall growהַטּוֹבhat/TOVthe goodלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִהְיוּyih/YUthey may beהַשֹּׁרֶשׁhash/SHO/reshthe rootוְהָרֹאשׁve/ha/ROSHand the topשָׁוִיםsha/VIMequalבְּכֹחָםbe/kho/CHAMin strengthעַד־אֲשֶׁרad-a/SHERuntilיִגְבַּרyig/BARit shall overcomeהַטּוֹבhat/TOVthe goodעַל־הָרַעal-ha/RAover the badוְיִכָּרֵתve/yik/ka/RETand it shall be cut offהָרַעha/RAthe badוְיֻשְׁלַךְve/yush/LAKHand shall be castאֶל־הָאֵשׁel-ha/ESHinto the fireלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatלֹאlonotיַכְבִּידוּyakh/bi/DUthey shall cumberעַל־אַדְמַתal-ad/MATupon the groundכַּרְמִיkar/MIof my vineyardוְכָכָהve/KHA/khaand thusאֲטַאטֵאa/ta/TEwill I sweep awayאֶת־הָרַעet-ha/RAthe badמִכַּרְמִי׃mik/kar/MIout of my vineyard

    For it grieveth me that I should lose the trees of my vineyard; wherefore ye shall clear away the bad according as the good shall grow, that the root and the top may be equal in strength, until the good shall overcome the bad, and the bad be hewn down and cast into the fire, that they cumber not the ground of my vineyard; and thus will I sweep away the bad out of my vineyard.

67. 67

    וְאֶת־עַנְפֵיve/ET-an/FEand the branchesהָעֵץha/ETSof the treeהָאֵםha/EMthe naturalאַרְכִּיבar/KIVI will graft inעוֹדodagainבָּעֵץba/ETSinto the treeהָאֵם׃ha/EMthe natural

    And the branches of the natural tree will I graft in again into the natural tree;

68. 68

    וְאֶת־עַנְפֵיve/ET-an/FEand the branchesהָעֵץha/ETSof the treeהָאֵםha/EMthe naturalאַרְכִּיבar/KIVI will graftבְּעַנְפֵיbe/an/FEinto the branchesהָעֵץha/ETSof the treeהָאֵםha/EMthe naturalוְכָכָהve/KHA/khaand thusאֲחַבְּרֵםa/chab/be/REMwill I join themיַחַדYA/chadtogetherלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיוֹצִיאוּyo/TSI/uthey may bring forthפְּרִיpe/RIthe fruitהָאֵםha/EMof the naturalוְהָיוּve/ha/YUand they shall beלְאֶחָד׃le/e/CHADone

    And the branches of the natural tree will I graft into the natural branches of the tree; and thus will I bring them together again, that they shall bring forth the natural fruit, and they shall be one.

69. 69

    וְהַשְׁלֵךְve/hash/LEKHand castיֻשְׁלַךְyush/LAKHshall be castהָרַעha/RAthe badמִכׇּל־אַדְמַתmik/KOL-ad/MATout of all the landכַּרְמִיkar/MIof my vineyardכִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdרַקrakonlyהַפַּעַםhap/PA/amthe timeהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisאֶזְמֹרez/MORwill I pruneאֶת־כַּרְמִי׃et-kar/MImy vineyard

    And the bad shall be cast away, yea, even out of all the land of my vineyard; for behold, only this once will I prune my vineyard.

70. 70

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatשָׁלַחsha/LACHsentאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardאֶת־עַבְדּוֹet-av/DOhis servantוַיֵּלֶךְvay/YE/lekhand wentהָעֶבֶדha/E/vedthe servantוַיַּעַשׂvay/YA/asand didכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasצִוָּהtsiv/VAcommandedאוֹתוֹo/TOhimאֲדֹנָיוa/do/NAYVhis masterוַיָּבֵאvay/ya/VEand broughtעֲבָדִיםa/va/DIMservantsאֲחֵרִיםa/che/RIMotherוַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUand they wereמְעַטִּים׃me/at/TIMfew

    And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard sent his servant; and the servant went and did as the Lord had commanded him, and brought other servants; and they were few.

71. 71

    וַיֹּאמֶרvay/YO/merand saidאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themלְכוּle/KHUgoוְעִבְדוּve/iv/DUand laborבַכֶּרֶםvak/KE/remin the vineyardבְּכׇל־כֹּחֲכֶםbe/KHOL-ko/cha/KHEMwith all your mightכִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdזֹאתzotthis isהַפַּעַםhap/PA/amthe timeהָאַחֲרוֹנָהha/a/cha/ro/NAthe lastאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאֲטַפֵּחַa/tap/PE/achI shall nourishאֶת־כַּרְמִיet-kar/MImy vineyardכִּיkiforקָרֵבka/REVdraws nearהַקֵּץhak/KETSthe endוְהַמּוֹעֵדve/ham/mo/EDand the seasonיָבוֹאya/VOcomesמְהֵרָהme/he/RAsoonוְאִםve/IMand ifתַּעַבְדוּta/av/DUyou shall laborבְכׇל־כֹּחֲכֶםve/KHOL-ko/cha/KHEMwith all your mightעִמָּדִיim/ma/DIwith meתִּשְׂמְחוּtis/me/CHUyou shall have joyבַפְּרִיvap/pe/RIin the fruitאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichאֶצְבֹּרets/BORI shall lay upלִיlito meלָעֵתla/ETagainst the timeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתָּבוֹאta/VOwill comeמְהֵרָה׃me/he/RAsoon

    And the Lord of the vineyard said unto them: Go to, and labor in the vineyard, with your might. For behold, this is the last time that I shall nourish my vineyard; for the end is nigh at hand, and the season speedily cometh; and if ye labor with your might with me ye shall have joy in the fruit which I shall lay up unto myself against the time which will soon come.

72. 72

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatהָלְכוּha/le/KHUwent forthהָעֲבָדִיםha/a/va/DIMthe servantsוַיַּעַבְדוּvay/ya/av/DUand laboredבְּכׇל־כֹּחָםbe/KHOL-ko/CHAMwith all their mightוַיַּעֲבֹדvay/ya/a/VODand laboredגַּםgamalsoאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardעִמָּהֶםim/ma/HEMwith themוַיִּשְׁמְעוּvay/yish/me/Uand they obeyedאֶת־מִצְוֹתet-mits/VOTthe commandmentsאֲדוֹןa/DONof the masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardבְּכׇל־דָּבָר׃be/KHOL-da/VARin all things

    And it came to pass that the servants did go and labor with their mights; and the Lord of the vineyard labored also with them; and they did obey the commandments of the Lord of the vineyard in all things.

73. 73

    וַיָּחֶלvay/YA/cheland there beganלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beפְּרִיpe/RIthe fruitהָאֵםha/EMof the naturalעוֹדodagainבַּכָּרֶםbak/KA/remin the vineyardוַיָּחֵלּוּvay/ya/CHEL/luand beganעַנְפֵיan/FEthe branchesהָעֵץha/ETSof the treeהָאֵםha/EMthe naturalלִגְדֹּלlig/DOLto growוּלְהַצְלִיחַu/le/hats/LI/achand to thriveמְאֹדme/ODexceedinglyוַיָּחֵלּוּvay/ya/CHEL/luand beganעַנְפֵיan/FEthe branchesהַבַּרhab/BARof the wildלְהִקָּטֵףle/hik/ka/TEFto be plucked offוּלְהִשָּׁלֵךְu/le/hish/sha/LEKHand to be cast outוַיִּשְׁמְרוּvay/yish/me/RUand they keptאֶת־הַשֹּׁרֶשׁet-hash/SHO/reshthe rootוְהָרֹאשׁve/ha/ROSHand the topשָׁוִיםsha/VIMequalלְפִיle/FIaccording toכֹּחָם׃ko/CHAMtheir strength

    And there began to be the natural fruit again in the vineyard; and the natural branches began to grow and thrive exceedingly; and the wild branches began to be plucked off and to be cast away; and they did keep the root and the top thereof equal, according to the strength thereof.

74. 74

    וְכָכָהve/KHA/khaand thusעָבְדוּa/ve/DUthey laboredבְּכׇל־חֲרִיצוּתָםbe/KHOL-cha/ri/tsu/TAMwith all their diligenceכְּמִצְוֹתke/mits/VOTaccording to the commandmentsאֲדוֹןa/DONof the masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardעַד־אֲשֶׁרad-a/SHERuntilהֻשְׁלַךְhush/LAKHit was cast outהָרַעha/RAthe badמִן־הַכֶּרֶםmin-hak/KE/remout of the vineyardוַיִּשְׁמֹרvay/yish/MORand preservedהָאָדוֹןha/a/DONthe masterלוֹloto himכִּיkithatהָיוּha/YUwereהָעֵצִיםha/e/TSIMthe treesעוֹדodagainלִפְרִיlif/RIthe fruitהָאֵםha/EMof the naturalוַיִּהְיוּvay/yih/YUand they wereכַּאֲגֻדָּהka/a/gud/DAlike unto a bodyאֶחָתe/CHAToneוְהָיָהve/ha/YAand wasהַפְּרִיhap/pe/RIthe fruitשָׁוֶהsha/VEequalוַיִּשְׁמֹרvay/yish/MORand preservedאֲדוֹןa/DONthe masterהַכֶּרֶםhak/KE/remof the vineyardלוֹloto himאֶת־פְּרִיet-pe/RIthe fruitהָאֵםha/EMof the naturalאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהָיָהha/YAwasיָקָרya/KARmost preciousלוֹlounto himמֵרֵאשִׁית׃me/re/SHITfrom the beginning

    And thus they labored, with all diligence, according to the commandments of the Lord of the vineyard, even until the bad had been cast away out of the vineyard, and the Lord had preserved unto himself that the trees had become again the natural fruit; and they became like unto one body; and the fruits were equal; and the Lord of the vineyard had preserved unto himself the natural fruit, which was most precious unto him from the beginning.

75. 75

    And it came to pass that when the Lord of the vineyard saw that his fruit was good, and that his vineyard was no more corrupt, he called up his servants, and said unto them: Behold, for this last time have we nourished my vineyard; and thou beholdest that I have done according to my will; and I have preserved the natural fruit, that it is good, even like as it was in the beginning. And blessed art thou; for because ye have been diligent in laboring with me in my vineyard, and have kept my commandments, and have brought unto me again the natural fruit, that my vineyard is no more corrupted, and the bad is cast away, behold ye shall have joy with me because of the fruit of my vineyard.

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיָמִיםya/MIMa timeרַבִּיםrab/BIMlongאֶצְבֹּרets/BORwill I lay upמִפְּרִיmip/pe/RIof the fruitכַּרְמִיkar/MIof my vineyardלִיlito meלְמוֹעֵדle/mo/EDagainst the seasonאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיָבוֹאya/VOcomesמְהֵרָהme/he/RAsoonוּבַפַּעַםu/vap/PA/amand for the timeהָאַחֲרוֹנָהha/a/cha/ro/NAthe lastטִפַּחְתִּיtip/PACH/tihave I nourishedאֶת־כַּרְמִיet-kar/MImy vineyardוְזָמַרְתִּיוve/za/mar/TIVand pruned itוְעָדַרְתִּיve/a/dar/TIand dug aboutסְבִיבוֹse/vi/VOaround itוְשַׂמְתִּיve/sam/TIand I putלוֹloto itדֹמֶןDO/mendungלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeאֶצְבֹּרets/BORI will lay upלִיlito meמִן־הַפְּרִיmin-hap/pe/RIof the fruitיָמִיםya/MIMa timeרַבִּיםrab/BIMlongכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasדִּבַּרְתִּי׃dib/BAR/tiI spoke

    For behold, for a long time will I lay up of the fruit of my vineyard unto mine own self against the season, which speedily cometh; and for the last time have I nourished my vineyard, and pruned it, and dug about it, and dunged it; wherefore I will lay up unto mine own self of the fruit, for a long time, according to that which I have spoken.

    וְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand whenתָּבוֹאta/VOcomesהָעֵתha/ETthe timeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיָבוֹאya/VOcomesעוֹדodagainפְּרִיpe/RIfruitרַעraevilאֶל־כַּרְמִיel-kar/MIinto my vineyardאָזazthenאֲצַוֶּהa/tsav/VEwill I causeלֶאֱסֹףle/e/SOFto be gatheredאֶת־הַטּוֹבet-hat/TOVthe goodוְאֶת־הָרָעve/ET-ha/RAand the badוְאֶת־הַטּוֹבve/ET-hat/TOVand the goodאֶשְׁמֹרesh/MORwill I preserveלִיlito meוְאֶת־הָרָעve/ET-ha/RAand the badאַשְׁלִיךְash/LIKHwill I cast awayאֶל־מְקוֹמוֹel-me/ko/MOinto its own placeוְאָזve/AZand thenיָבוֹאya/VOcomesהַמּוֹעֵדham/mo/EDthe seasonוְהַקֵּץve/hak/KETSand the endוַאֲצַוֶּהva/a/tsav/VEand I will causeלִשְׂרֹףlis/ROFto be burnedאֶת־כַּרְמִיet-kar/MImy vineyardבָּאֵשׁ׃ba/ESHwith fire

    And when the time cometh that evil fruit shall again come into my vineyard, then will I cause the good and the bad to be gathered; and the good will I preserve unto myself, and the bad will I cast away into its own place. And then cometh the season and the end; and my vineyard will I cause to be burned with fire.
