   And now it came to pass that the people of the Nephites did all return to their own lands in the twenty and sixth year, every man, with his family, his flocks and his herds, his horses and his cattle, and all things whatsoever did belong unto them.

   And it came to pass that they had not eaten up all their provisions; therefore they did take with them all that they had not devoured, of all their grain of every kind, and their gold, and their silver, and all their precious things, and they did return to their own lands and their possessions, both on the north and on the south, both on the land northward and on the land southward.

   And they granted unto those robbers who had entered into a covenant to keep the peace of the land, who were desirous to remain Lamanites, lands, according to their numbers, that they might have, with their labors, wherewith to subsist upon; and thus they did establish peace in all the land.

   וַיָּחֵלּוּvay/ya/CHEL/luand beganשֵׁנִיתshe/NITagainלְהַצְלִיחַle/hats/LI/achto prosperוְלִגְדֹּלve/lig/DOLand to growוַתַּעֲבֹרְנָהvat/ta/a/VOR/naand passed awayשְׁנוֹתshe/NOTyearsעֶשְׂרִיםes/RIMof twentyוָשֵׁשׁva/SHESHand sixthוָשֶׁבַעva/SHE/vaand seventhוַיְהִיvay/HIand there wasסֵדֶרSE/derorderגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the landוַיְכוֹנְנוּvay/khon/NUand they formedאֶת־חֻקֵּיהֶםet-chuk/ke/HEMtheir lawsבְּצֶדֶקbe/TSE/dekin righteousnessוּמִשְׁפָּט׃u/mish/PATand judgment

   And they began again to prosper and to wax great; and the twenty and sixth and seventh years passed away, and there was great order in the land; and they had formed their laws according to equity and justice.

   וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowלֹא־הָיָהlo-ha/YAthere was notדָבָרda/VARanythingבְּכׇל־הָאָרֶץbe/KHOL-ha/A/retsin all the landלִמְנֹעַlim/NO/ato hinderאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleמֵהַצְלִיחַme/hats/LI/achfrom prosperingתָּמִידta/MIDcontinuallyזוּלַתzu/LATexceptאִם־יִפְּלוּim-yip/pe/LUif they should fallבְפֶשַׁע׃ve/FE/shainto transgression

   And now there was nothing in all the land to hinder the people from prospering continually, except they should fall into transgression.

   וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowהָיָהha/YAwasזֶהzethisגִּדְגִּדּוֹנִיGid/gid/DO/niGidgiddoniוְהַשֹּׁפֵטve/hash/sho/FETand the judgeלָכוֹנֵאוּסLa/KHO/ne/usLachoneusוְהַמֻּפְקָדִיםve/ham/muf/ka/DIMand the appointed onesלִנְגִידִיםlin/gi/DIMto leadersאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהֵקִימוּhe/KI/muestablishedאֶת־הַשָּׁלוֹםet-hash/sha/LOMthe peaceהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLthe greatהַזֶּהhaz/ZEthisבָּאָרֶץ׃ba/A/retsin the land

   And now it was Gidgiddoni, and the judge, Lachoneus, and those who had been appointed leaders, who had established this great peace in the land.

   וַתִּבָּנֶינָהvat/tib/ba/NE/naand were builtעָרִיםa/RIMcitiesרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyחֲדָשׁוֹתcha/da/SHOTnewוְעָרִיםve/a/RIMand citiesיְשָׁנוֹתye/sha/NOToldרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyתֻּקְּנוּ׃tuk/ke/NUwere repaired

   And it came to pass that there were many cities built anew, and there were many old cities repaired.

   וַיִּסָּלְלוּvay/yis/sa/le/LUand were cast upמְסִלּוֹתme/sil/LOThighwaysרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyוַיֵּעָשׂוּvay/ye/a/SUand were madeדְּרָכִיםde/ra/KHIMroadsרַבּוֹתrab/BOTmanyהַהֹלְכוֹתha/hol/KHOTwhich ledמֵעִירme/IRfrom cityלְעִירle/IRto cityוּמֵאֶרֶץu/me/E/retsand from landלְאֶרֶץle/E/retsto landוּמִמָּקוֹםu/mim/ma/KOMand from placeלְמָקוֹם׃le/ma/KOMto place

   And there were many highways cast up, and many roads made, which led from city to city, and from land to land, and from place to place.

   וְכֵןve/KHENand thusעָבְרָהa/ve/RApassed awayשְׁנַתshe/NATyearעֶשְׂרִיםes/RIMof twentyוּשְׁמוֹנֶהu/she/mo/NEand eighthוַיְהִיvay/HIand there wasלָעָםla/AMto the peopleשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceתָּמִיד׃ta/MIDcontinually

   And thus passed away the twenty and eighth year, and the people had continual peace.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedבִּשְׁנַתbish/NATin the yearעֶשְׂרִיםes/RIMof twentyוָתֵשַׁעva/TE/shaand ninthוַתָּחֵלְנָהvat/ta/chel/NAand beganמְרִיבוֹתme/ri/VOTdisputingsבֵּיןbenamongהָעָםha/AMthe peopleוַיִּתְנַשְּׂאוּvay/yit/nas/se/Uand were lifted upקְצָתָםke/tsa/TAMsome of themבְּגַאֲוָהbe/ga/a/VAin prideוּבְהִתְפָּאֲרָםu/ve/hit/pa/a/RAMand in their boastingבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofעׇשְׁרָםosh/RAMtheir richesהָרַבha/RAVthe greatמְאֹדme/ODexceedinglyאַףafyeaעַדadeven toרְדִיפוֹתre/di/FOTpersecutionsגְּדוֹלוֹת׃ge/do/LOTgreat

    But it came to pass in the twenty and ninth year there began to be some disputings among the people; and some were lifted up unto pride and boastings because of their exceedingly great riches, yea, even unto great persecutions;

    כִּיkiforהָיוּha/YUthere wereסוֹחֲרִיםso/cha/RIMmerchantsרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the landוְגַםve/GAMand alsoיוֹדְעֵיyod/Ethose who knowדִיןdinlawרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוּפְקִידִיםu/fe/ki/DIMand officersרַבִּים׃rab/BIMmany

    For there were many merchants in the land, and also many lawyers, and many officers.

12. 12

    וַיָּחֶלvay/YA/cheland beganהָעָםha/AMthe peopleלְהִבָּדֵלle/hib/ba/DELto be distinguishedלְמַעֲמָדוֹתle/ma/a/ma/DOTby ranksכְּפִיke/FIaccording toעׇשְׁרָםosh/RAMtheir richesוְיָדָםve/ya/DAMand their meansלָדַעַתla/DA/atfor learningאַףafyeaקְצָתָםke/tsa/TAMsome of themהָיוּha/YUthey wereבּוֹעֲרִיםbo/a/RIMignorantבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofעׇנְיָםon/YAMtheir povertyוַאֲחֵרִיםva/a/che/RIMand othersקִבְּלוּkib/be/LUreceivedדַּעַתDA/atlearningרַבָּהrab/BAgreatבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofעׇשְׁרָם׃osh/RAMtheir riches

    And the people began to be distinguished by ranks, according to their riches and their chances for learning; yea, some were ignorant because of their poverty, and others did receive great learning because of their riches.

    קְצָתָםke/tsa/TAMsome of themהִתְנַשְּׂאוּhit/nas/se/Uthey were lifted upבְגַאֲוָהve/ga/a/VAin prideוַאֲחֵרִיםva/a/che/RIMand othersהָיוּha/YUthey wereעֲנָוִיםa/na/VIMhumbleמְאֹדme/ODexceedinglyקְצָתָםke/tsa/TAMsome of themהֵשִׁיבוּhe/SHI/vureturnedחֶרְפָּהcher/PArailingתַּחַתTA/chatforחֶרְפָּהcher/PArailingבְּעוֹדbe/ODwhile yetאֲחֵרִיםa/che/RIMothersקִבְּלוּkib/be/LUreceivedחֶרְפָּהcher/PArailingוּרְדִיפוֹתu/re/di/FOTand persecutionsוְכׇל־צָרוֹתve/KHOL-tsa/ROTand all manner of afflictionsוְלֹא־שָׁבוּve/LO-SHA/vuand would not turnלְהָשִׁיבle/ha/SHIVto returnחֶרְפָּהcher/PArailingכִּי־אִםki-imbut ratherהָיוּha/YUthey wereעֲנָוִיםa/na/VIMhumbleוְנִכְנָעִיםve/nikh/na/IMand penitentלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeאֱלֹהִים׃e/lo/HIMGod

    Some were lifted up in pride, and others were exceedingly humble; some did return railing for railing, while others would receive railing and persecution and all manner of afflictions, and would not turn and revile again, but were humble and penitent before God.

    And thus there became a great inequality in all the land, insomuch that the church began to be broken up; yea, insomuch that in the thirtieth year the church was broken up in all the land save it were among a few of the Lamanites who were converted unto the true faith; and they would not depart from it, for they were firm, and steadfast, and immovable, willing with all diligence to keep the commandments of the Lord.

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowדְּבַרde/VARthe causeרֶשַׁעRE/shaof the iniquityהָעָם־הַזֶּהha/AM-haz/ZEof this peopleהָיָהha/YAwasזֶהzethisהָיָהha/YAthere wasלַשָּׂטָןlas/Sa/TANto SatanכֹּחַKO/achpowerרַבravgreatלְהָסִיתle/ha/SITto stir upאֶת־הָעָםet-ha/AMthe peopleלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doכׇּל־רֶשַׁעkol-RE/shaall manner of iniquityוּלְהַגְבִּיהָםu/le/hag/bi/HAMand to puff them upבְּגַאֲוָהbe/ga/a/VAin prideלְפַתּוֹתָםle/fat/to/TAMtempting themלְבַקֵּשׁle/vak/KESHto seekשְׂרָרָהse/ra/RApowerוּמֶמְשָׁלָהu/mem/sha/LAand authorityוְעֹשֶׁרve/O/sherand richesוְהַבְלֵיve/hav/LEand the vain thingsהָעוֹלָם׃ha/o/LAMof the world

    Now the cause of this iniquity of the people was this—Satan had great power, unto the stirring up of the people to do all manner of iniquity, and to the puffing them up with pride, tempting them to seek for power, and authority, and riches, and the vain things of the world.

    וְכֵןve/KHENand thusהִטָּהhit/TAled awayהַשָּׂטָןHas/sa/TANSatanאֶת־לִבּוֹתet-lib/BOTthe heartsהָעָםha/AMof the peopleלַעֲשׂוֹתla/a/SOTto doכׇּל־רֶשַׁעkol-RE/shaall manner of iniquityלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeהָיָהha/YAthere wasלָהֶםla/HEMunto themשָׁלוֹםsha/LOMpeaceרַקrakbutשָׁנִיםsha/NIMyearsמְעַטּוֹת׃me/at/TOTa few

    And thus Satan did lead away the hearts of the people to do all manner of iniquity; therefore they had enjoyed peace but a few years.

    וְכֵןve/KHENand thusבִּתְחִלַּתbit/chil/LATin the commencementשְׁנַתshe/NATof yearשְׁלֹשִׁיםshe/lo/SHIMof thirtiethהָעָםha/AMthe peopleנִמְסְרוּnim/se/RUhad been deliveredיָמִיםya/MIMdaysרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyלְהִנָּשֵׂאle/hin/na/SEto be carried aboutבְּמַסּוֹתbe/mas/SOTby the temptationsהַשָּׂטָןhas/sa/TANof the devilלְכׇל־אֲשֶׁרle/KHOL-a/SHERunto wheresoeverחָפֵץcha/FETShe desiredלְהוֹלִיכָםle/ho/li/KHAMto lead themוְלַעֲשׂוֹתve/la/a/SOTand to doכׇּל־רֶשַׁעkol-RE/shawhatsoever iniquityאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichחָפֵץcha/FETShe desiredכִּיkithatיַעֲשׂוּya/a/SUthey doוְכֵןve/KHENand thusבִּתְחִלַּתbit/chil/LATin the commencementהַשָּׁנָהhash/sha/NAof the yearהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisשְׁנַתshe/NATyearשְׁלֹשִׁיםshe/lo/SHIMof thirtiethהָיוּha/YUthey wereבְּרֶשַׁעbe/RE/shain wickednessנוֹרָא׃no/RAawful

    And thus, in the commencement of the thirtieth year—the people having been delivered up for the space of a long time to be carried about by the temptations of the devil whithersoever he desired to carry them, and to do whatsoever iniquity he desired they should—and thus in the commencement of this, the thirtieth year, they were in a state of awful wickedness.

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowלֹאlonotחָטְאוּcha/te/Usinnedבִּשְׁגָגָהbish/ga/GAignorantlyכִּיkiforיָדְעוּya/de/Uthey knewאֶת־רְצוֹןet-re/TSONthe willאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMof Godלָהֶםla/HEMunto themכִּיkiforלֻמַּדlum/MADhad been taughtלָהֶםla/HEMthemלָכֵןla/KHENthereforeמָרְדוּma/re/DUrebelledבֵּאלֹהִיםbe/lo/HIMagainst Godבְּזָדוֹן׃be/za/DONwilfully

    Now they did not sin ignorantly, for they knew the will of God concerning them, for it had been taught unto them; therefore they did wilfully rebel against God.

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowהָיָהha/YAwasזֶהzethisבִּימֵיbi/MEin the daysלָכוֹנֵאוּסla/KHO/ne/usof Lachoneusבֶּן־לָכוֹנֵאוּסben-La/KHO/ne/usson of Lachoneusכִּיkithatיָשַׁבya/SHAVsatלָכוֹנֵאוּסLa/KHO/ne/usLachoneusעַל־כִּסֵּאal-kis/SEupon the seatאָבִיוa/VIVof his fatherוַיִּמְשֹׁלvay/yim/SHOLand governedבָּעָםba/AMamong the peopleבַּשָּׁנָהbash/sha/NAin the yearהַהִיא׃ha/HIthat

    And now it was in the days of Lachoneus, the son of Lachoneus, for Lachoneus did fill the seat of his father and did govern the people that year.

    וַיָּחֵלּוּvay/ya/CHEL/luand beganלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenמְעוֹרָרִיםme/o/ra/RIMinspiredמִן־הַשָּׁמַיִםmin-hash/sha/MA/yimfrom heavenוּשְׁלוּחִיםu/she/lu/CHIMand sent forthעוֹמְדִיםom/DIMstandingבְּקֶרֶבbe/KE/revamongהָעָםha/AMthe peopleבְּכׇל־הָאָרֶץbe/KHOL-ha/A/retsin all the landמַגִּידִיםmag/gi/DIMpreachingוּמְעִידִיםu/me/i/DIMand testifyingבְּעֹזbe/OZwith boldnessעַל־חַטֹּאתal-chat/TOTof the sins ofוַעֲוֹנוֹתva/a/vo/NOTand the iniquitiesהָעָםha/AMof the peopleוּמְעִידִיםu/me/i/DIMand testifyingלָהֶםla/HEMunto themעַל־הַגְּאֻלָּהal-hag/ge/ul/LAconcerning the redemptionאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEwould makeיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiלְעַמּוֹle/am/MOfor his peopleאוֹoorתְּקוּמַתte/ku/MATthe resurrectionהַמָּשִׁיחַham/Ma/SHI/achof Christוַיָּעִידוּvay/ya/I/duand testifiedבְּעֹזbe/OZwith boldnessעַל־מוֹתוֹal-mo/TOof his deathוְסִבְלוֹתָיו׃ve/siv/lo/TAYVand his sufferings

    And there began to be men inspired from heaven and sent forth, standing among the people in all the land, preaching and testifying boldly of the sins and iniquities of the people, and testifying unto them concerning the redemption which the Lord would make for his people, or in other words, the resurrection of Christ; and they did testify boldly of his death and sufferings.

    Now there were many of the people who were exceedingly angry because of those who testified of these things; and those who were angry were chiefly the chief judges, and they who had been high priests and lawyers; yea, all those who were lawyers were angry with those who testified of these things.

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowלֹא־הָיָהlo-ha/YAthere was noיוֹדֵעַyo/DE/aone who knowsדִּיןdinlawאוֹoorשׁוֹפֵטsho/FETjudgeאוֹoorכֹּהֵןko/HENa priestגָּדוֹלga/DOLhighאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהָיָה־לוֹha/YA-lowas to himשִׁלְטוֹןshil/TONpowerלְהַרְשִׁיעַle/har/SHI/ato condemnאִישׁishanyoneלַמָּוֶתlam/MA/vetto deathזוּלַתzu/LATexceptאִם־נֶחְתַּםim-nech/TAMif signedמִשְׁפָּטָםmish/pa/TAMtheir condemnationבִּידֵיbi/DEby the handsמוֹשֵׁלmo/SHELof the governorהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsof the land

    Now there was no lawyer nor judge nor high priest that could have power to condemn any one to death save their condemnation was signed by the governor of the land.

23. 23

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand there wereרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyמֵהַמְּעִידִיםme/ham/me/i/DIMfrom those who testifiedעַל־הַדְּבָרִיםal-had/de/va/RIMconcerning the thingsהַנּוֹגְעִיםhan/nog/IMpertainingלַמָּשִׁיחַlam/Ma/SHI/achunto Christאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהֵעִידוּhe/I/dutestifiedבְּעֹזbe/OZwith boldnessנִלְקְחוּnil/ke/CHUwere takenוְהוּמְתוּve/hum/TUand were put to deathבַּסֵּתֶרbas/SE/terin secretבִּידֵיbi/DEby the handsהַשּׁוֹפְטִיםhash/shof/TIMof the judgesעַד־כִּיad-kiinsomuch thatלֹאlonotבָּאָהba/AcameדַּעַתDA/atknowledgeמוֹתָםmo/TAMof their deathאֶל־מוֹשֵׁלel-mo/SHELunto the governorהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the landעַד־אַחֲרֵיad-a/cha/REuntil afterמוֹתָם׃mo/TAMtheir death

    Now there were many of those who testified of the things pertaining to Christ who testified boldly, who were taken and put to death secretly by the judges, that the knowledge of their death came not unto the governor of the land until after their death.

24. 24

    וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdזֶהzethisהָיָהha/YAwasנֶגֶדNE/gedagainstחֻקֵּיchuk/KEthe lawsהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the landכִּיkithatיוּמַתyu/MATshould be put to deathאִישׁishanyoneזוּלַתzu/LATexceptעַל־פִּיal-piby the authorityמוֹשֵׁלmo/SHELof the governorהָאָרֶץ׃ha/A/retsof the land

    Now behold, this was contrary to the laws of the land, that any man should be put to death except they had power from the governor of the land—

25. 25

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeבָּאָהba/Acame upתְּלוּנָהte/lu/NAa complaintאֶל־אֶרֶץel-E/retsto the landזָרַהֶמְלָהZa/ra/HEM/laof Zarahemlaאֶל־מוֹשֵׁלel-mo/SHELto the governorהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the landנֶגֶדNE/gedagainstהַשּׁוֹפְטִיםhash/shof/TIMthe judgesהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהִרְשִׁיעוּhir/shi/Ucondemnedאֶת־נְבִיאֵיet-ne/vi/Ethe prophetsיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiלַמָּוֶתlam/MA/vetto deathלֹאlonotכַתּוֹרָה׃khat/to/RAaccording to the law

    Therefore a complaint came up unto the land of Zarahemla, to the governor of the land, against these judges who had condemned the prophets of the Lord unto death, not according to the law.

26. 26

    וַיִּתָּפְשׂוּvay/yit/ta/fe/SUand they were takenוַיּוּבְאוּvay/yuv/Uand they were broughtלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeהַשּׁוֹפֵטhash/sho/FETthe judgeלְהִשָּׁפֵטle/hish/sha/FETto be judgedעַל־הַפֶּשַׁעal-hap/PE/shafor the crimeאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichעָשׂוּa/SUthey didכְּפִיke/FIaccording toהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנִתְּנָהnit/te/NAhad been givenבִּידֵיbi/DEby the handsהָעָם׃ha/AMof the people

    Now it came to pass that they were taken and brought up before the judge, to be judged of the crime which they had done, according to the law which had been given by the people.

27. 27

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכִּיkithatלַשּׁוֹפְטִיםlash/shof/TIMto the judgesהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseהָיוּha/YUthere wereרֵעִיםre/IMfriendsוּקְרוֹבִיםu/ke/ro/VIMand kindredsרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוְהַנּוֹתָרִיםve/han/no/ta/RIMand the remainderאַףafyeaכִּמְעַטkim/ATalmostכׇּל־יוֹדְעֵיkol-yod/Eall those who knowהַדִּיןhad/DINthe lawוְהַכֹּהֲנִיםve/hak/ko/ha/NIMand the priestsהַגְּדוֹלִיםhag/ge/do/LIMthe highנֶאֶסְפוּne/es/FUgatheredיַחַדYA/chadtogetherוַיִּתְחַבְּרוּvay/yit/chab/be/RUand unitedעִם־קְרוֹבֵיim-ke/ro/VEwith the kindredהַשּׁוֹפְטִיםhash/shof/TIMof the judgesהָהֵםha/HEMthoseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichעָמְדוּa/me/DUstoodלְהִשָּׁפֵטle/hish/sha/FETto be judgedכַּתּוֹרָה׃kat/to/RAaccording to the law

    Now it came to pass that those judges had many friends and kindreds; and the remainder, yea, even almost all the lawyers and the high priests, did gather themselves together, and unite with the kindreds of those judges who were to be tried according to the law.

28. 28

    וַיִּכְרְתוּvay/yikh/re/TUand they cutבְרִיתve/RITa covenantאִישׁishoneעִם־רֵעֵהוּim-re/E/huwith anotherאַףafyeaאֶת־הַבְּרִיתet-hab/be/RITthe covenantהַהִיאha/HIthatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנִתְּנָהnit/te/NAwas givenבִּידֵיbi/DEby the handsהַקַּדְמוֹנִיםhak/kad/mo/NIMof the ancientsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנִתְּנָהnit/te/NAwas givenוְנֹהֲלָהve/no/ha/LAand was administeredבִּידֵיbi/DEby the handsהַשָּׂטָןhas/sa/TANof the devilלְהִתְחַבֵּרle/hit/chab/BERto combineנֶגֶדNE/gedagainstכׇּל־צֶדֶק׃kol-TSE/dekall righteousness

    And they did enter into a covenant one with another, yea, even into that covenant which was given by them of old, which covenant was given and administered by the devil, to combine against all righteousness.

29. 29

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeהִתְחַבְּרוּhit/chab/be/RUcombinedנֶגֶדNE/gedagainstעַם־יְהוָהam-Adonaithe people of Adonaiוַיִּכְרְתוּvay/yikh/re/TUand they cutבְרִיתve/RITa covenantלְהַשְׁמִידָםle/hash/mi/DAMto destroy themוּלְחַלֵּץu/le/chal/LETSand to deliverאֶת־הָאֲשֵׁמִיםet-ha/a/she/MIMthe guiltyבָּרֶצַחba/RE/tsachof murderמִיַּדmiy/YADfrom the graspהַצֶּדֶקhats/TSE/dekof justiceאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichעָמַדa/MADwas aboutלְהֵעָשׂוֹתle/he/a/SOTto be administeredכַּתּוֹרָה׃kat/to/RAaccording to the law

    Therefore they did combine against the people of the Lord, and enter into a covenant to destroy them, and to deliver those who were guilty of murder from the grasp of justice, which was about to be administered according to the law.

30. 30

    וַיִּבְזוּvay/yiv/ZUand they despisedאֶת־תּוֹרַתet-to/RATthe lawאַרְצָםar/TSAMof their landוּמִשְׁפְּטֶיהָu/mish/pe/te/HAand its rightsוַיִּכְרְתוּvay/yikh/re/TUand they cutבְרִיתve/RITa covenantאִישׁishoneעִם־רֵעֵהוּim-re/E/huwith anotherלְהַשְׁמִידle/hash/MIDto destroyאֶת־הַמּוֹשֵׁלet-ham/mo/SHELthe governorוּלְהָקִיםu/le/ha/KIMand to establishמֶלֶךְME/lekha kingעַל־הָאָרֶץal-ha/A/retsupon the landלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatלֹא־תִהְיֶהlo-tih/YEshould not beהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landחׇפְשִׁיתchof/SHITfreeעוֹדodmoreכִּי־אִםki-imbutתִּהְיֶהtih/YEshall beנִכְנָעָהnikh/na/Asubjectלַמְּלָכִים׃lam/me/la/KHIMunto kings

    And they did set at defiance the law and the rights of their country; and they did covenant one with another to destroy the governor, and to establish a king over the land, that the land should no more be at liberty but should be subject unto kings.
