   And now, I, Nephi, speak concerning the prophecies of which my father hath spoken, concerning Joseph, who was carried into Egypt.

   For behold, he truly prophesied concerning all his seed. And the prophecies which he wrote, there are not many greater. And he prophesied concerning us, and our future generations; and they are written upon the plates of brass.

   Wherefore, after my father had made an end of speaking concerning the prophecies of Joseph, he called the children of Laman, his sons, and his daughters, and said unto them: Behold, my sons, and my daughters, who are the sons and the daughters of my firstborn, I would that ye should give ear unto my words.

   כִּיkiforאָמַרa/MARsaidיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodכִּיkithatכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERinasmuch asתִּשְׁמְרוּtish/me/RUyou shall keepמִצְוֹתַיmits/vo/TAYmy commandmentsוְהִצְלַחְתֶּםve/hits/lach/TEMyou shall prosperבָּאָרֶץba/A/retsin the landוְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand inasmuch asלֹאlonotתִשְׁמְרוּtish/me/RUyou will keepמִצְוֹתַיmits/vo/TAYmy commandmentsוְנִכְרַתֶּםve/nikh/rat/TEMyou shall be cut offמִלְּפָנָי׃mil/le/fa/NAYfrom my presence

   For the Lord God hath said that: Inasmuch as ye shall keep my commandments ye shall prosper in the land; and inasmuch as ye will not keep my commandments ye shall be cut off from my presence.

   But behold, my sons and my daughters, I cannot go down to my grave save I should leave a blessing upon you; for behold, I know that if ye are brought up in the way ye should go ye will not depart from it.

   לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeאִם־אֲרוּרִיםim-a/ru/RIMif cursedאַתֶּםat/TEMyou areהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdמַנִּיחַman/NI/achleaveאֲנִיa/NIIבִרְכָתִיvir/kha/TImy blessingעֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMupon youלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatתּוּסַרtu/SARmay be takenהַקְּלָלָהhak/ke/la/LAthe cursingמֵעֲלֵיכֶםme/a/le/KHEMfrom youוְתָשׁוּבve/ta/SHUVand be answeredעַל־רֹאשׁal-roshupon the headsאֲבִיכֶםa/vi/KHEMof your fatherוְאִמְּכֶם׃ve/im/me/KHEMand mother

   Wherefore, if ye are cursed, behold, I leave my blessing upon you, that the cursing may be taken from you and be answered upon the heads of your parents.

   לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofבִּרְכָתִיbir/kha/TImy blessingלֹא־יִתֵּןlo-yit/TENwill not sufferיְהוָהAdonaiAdonaiאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodכִּיkithatתֹאבֵדוּto/ve/DUyou shall perishלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEhe will doחֶסֶדCHE/sedmercyעִמָּכֶםim/ma/KHEMunto youוְעִם־זַרְעֲכֶםve/IM-zar/a/KHEMand unto your seedלְעוֹלָם׃le/o/LAMforever

   Wherefore, because of my blessing the Lord God will not suffer that ye shall perish; wherefore, he will be merciful unto you and unto your seed forever.

   וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REthat afterכַלּוֹתkhal/LOTmade an endאָבִיa/VImy fatherלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERof speakingאֶל־בְּנֵיel-be/NEto the sonsלָמָןLA/Manof Lamanוּבְנוֹתָיוu/ve/no/TAYVand his daughtersוַיְצַוvay/TSAVhe causedלְהָבִיאle/ha/VIto bringלְפָנָיוle/fa/NAYVbefore himאֶת־בְּנֵיet-be/NEthe sonsלְמוּאֵלle/Mu/ELof Lemuelוּבְנוֹתָיו׃u/ve/no/TAYVand his daughters

   And it came to pass that after my father had made an end of speaking to the sons and daughters of Laman, he caused the sons and daughters of Lemuel to be brought before him.

   וַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERand he spokeאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdבָּנַיba/NAYmy sonsוּבְנֹתַיu/ve/no/TAYand my daughtersבְּנֵיbe/NEwho are the sonsבְנִיve/NIof my sonהַשֵּׁנִיhash/she/NIsecondוּבְנֹתָיוu/ve/no/TAYVand his daughtersהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdמַנִּיחַman/NI/achleaveאֲנִיa/NIIלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youאֶת־הַבְּרָכָהet-hab/be/ra/KHAthe blessingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהִנַּחְתִּיhin/nach/TII leftלִבְנֵיliv/NEunto the sonsלָמָןLA/Manof Lamanוּבְנוֹתָיוu/ve/no/TAYVand his daughtersלָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeהַשְׁמֵדhash/MEDutterlyלֹאlonotתִשָּׁמֵדtish/sha/MEDyou shall be destroyedאַךְakhbutבְּאַחֲרִיתbe/a/cha/RITin the endיְבֹרַךְye/VO/rakhshall be blessedזַרְעֲךָ׃zar/a/KHAyour seed

   And he spake unto them, saying: Behold, my sons and my daughters, who are the sons and the daughters of my second son; behold I leave unto you the same blessing which I left unto the sons and daughters of Laman; wherefore, thou shalt not utterly be destroyed; but in the end thy seed shall be blessed.

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedכְּכַלּוֹתke/khal/LOTthat when made an endאָבִיa/VImy fatherלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERof speakingאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdדִּבֶּרdib/BERhe spokeאֶל־בְּנֵיel-be/NEunto the sonsיִשְׁמָעֵאלYish/ma/ELof Ishmaelוְאַףve/AFyea andגַּםgamevenאֶל־כׇּל־בֵּיתוֹ׃el-kol-be/TOall his household

    And it came to pass that when my father had made an end of speaking unto them, behold, he spake unto the sons of Ishmael, yea, and even all his household.

11. 11

    וְאַחֲרֵיve/a/cha/REand afterכַלּוֹתוֹkhal/lo/TOhe made an endלְדַבֵּרle/dab/BERof speakingאֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMunto themוַיְדַבֵּרvay/dab/BERhe spokeאֶל־סָםel-Samunto Samלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingבָּרוּךְba/RUKHblessedאַתָּהat/TAare youוְזַרְעֶךָve/zar/E/khaand your seedכִּיkiforתִירַשׁti/RASHyou shall inheritאֶת־הָאָרֶץet-ha/A/retsthe landכְּנֶפִיke/NE/filike unto Nephiאָחִיךָa/CHI/khayour brotherוְנִמְנָהve/nim/NAand shall be numberedזַרְעֲךָzar/a/KHAyour seedעִם־זַרְעוֹim-zar/Owith his seedוְהָיִיתָve/ha/YI/taand you shall beאַףafevenכְּאָחִיךָke/a/CHI/khalike unto your brotherוְזַרְעֲךָve/zar/a/KHAand your seedכְּזַרְעוֹke/zar/Olike unto his seedוּבָרוּךְu/va/RUKHand blessedתִּהְיֶהtih/YEyou shall beכׇּל־יָמֶיךָ׃kol-ya/ME/khain all your days

    And after he had made an end of speaking unto them, he spake unto Sam, saying: Blessed art thou, and thy seed; for thou shalt inherit the land like unto thy brother Nephi. And thy seed shall be numbered with his seed; and thou shalt be even like unto thy brother, and thy seed like unto his seed; and thou shalt be blessed in all thy days.

12. 12

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterדַבֵּרdab/BERspokeלֶחִיLE/chiLehiאָבִיa/VImy fatherאֶל־כׇּל־בֵּיתוֹel-kol-be/TOunto all his householdכְּרַחֲשֵׁיke/ra/cha/SHEaccording to the feelingsלְבָבוֹle/va/VOof his heartוּכְרוּחַu/Khe/RU/achand the SpiritיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiאֲשֶׁר־בּוֹa/SHER-bowhich was in himוַיִּזְקַןvay/yiz/KANhe waxed oldוַיָּמׇתvay/YA/motand he diedוַיִּקָּבֵר׃vay/yik/ka/VERand was buried

    And it came to pass after my father, Lehi, had spoken unto all his household, according to the feelings of his heart and the Spirit of the Lord which was in him, he waxed old. And it came to pass that he died, and was buried.

13. 13

    וַיְהִיvay/HIand it happenedאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterמוֹתוֹmo/TOhis deathיָמִיםya/MIMdaysלֹאlonotרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוַיִּחַר־אַףvay/YI/char-afthat were angryלָמָןLA/manLamanוּלְמוּאֵלu/Le/mu/ELand Lemuelוּבְנֵיu/ve/NEand the sonsיִשְׁמָעֵאלYish/ma/ELof Ishmaelבִּיbiwith meעַל־תּוֹכְחוֹתal-tokh/CHOTbecause of the admonitionsיְהוָה׃Adonaiof Adonai

    And it came to pass that not many days after his death, Laman and Lemuel and the sons of Ishmael were angry with me because of the admonitions of the Lord.

    For I, Nephi, was constrained to speak unto them, according to his word; for I had spoken many things unto them, and also my father, before his death; many of which sayings are written upon mine other plates; for a more history part are written upon mine other plates.

    וְעַל־אֵלֶּהve/AL-EL/leand upon theseאֶכְתֹּבekh/TOVI writeדִּבְרֵיdiv/REthe thingsנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHIof my soulוְרַבִּיםve/rab/BIMand manyמִן־הַכְּתוּבִיםmin-hak/ke/tu/VIMof the scripturesהַחֲקוּקִיםha/cha/ku/KIMwhich are engravenעַל־לוּחוֹתal-lu/CHOTupon the platesהַנְּחֹשֶׁתhan/ne/CHO/shetof brassכִּיkiforתַעֲלֹזta/a/LOZdelightsנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulבַּכְּתוּבִיםbak/ke/tu/VIMin the scripturesוְיֶהְגֶּהve/yeh/GEand pondersלִבִּיlib/BImy heartבָםvamthemוְאֶכְתְּבֵםve/ekh/te/VEMand writes themלְלִמּוּדle/lim/MUDfor the learningוּלְהוֹעִילu/le/ho/ILand the profitלְבָנָי׃le/va/NAYof my children

    And upon these I write the things of my soul, and many of the scriptures which are engraven upon the plates of brass. For my soul delighteth in the scriptures, and my heart pondereth them, and writeth them for the learning and the profit of my children.

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdתַעֲלֹזta/a/LOZdelightsנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulבְּדִבְרֵיbe/div/REin the thingsיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiוְיֶהְגֶּהve/yeh/GEand pondersלִבִּיlib/BImy heartתָמִידta/MIDcontinuallyבַּדְּבָרִיםbad/de/va/RIMupon the thingsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichרָאִיתִיra/I/tiI sawוְשָׁמָעְתִּי׃ve/sha/MA/tiand heard

    Behold, my soul delighteth in the things of the Lord; and my heart pondereth continually upon the things which I have seen and heard.

    אַךְakhneverthelessעַלalnotwithstandingחֶסֶדCHE/sedthe goodnessיְהוָהAdonaiof Adonaiהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLgreatבְּהַרְאוֹתוֹbe/har/o/TOin showingלִיlimeאֶת־מַעֲשָׂיוet-ma/a/SAYVhis worksהַגְּדוֹלִיםhag/ge/do/LIMgreatוְהַנִּפְלָאִיםve/han/nif/la/IMand marvelousיִזְעַקyiz/AKexclaimsלִבִּיlib/BImy heartהוֹיhoyOאִישׁ־עָמֵלish-a/MELwretched manאָנִיA/nithat I amאַףafyeaדּוֹאֵבdo/EVsorrowsלִבִּיlib/BImy heartבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofבְּשָׂרִיbe/sa/RImy fleshמִתְאַבֶּלֶתmit/ab/BE/letgrievesנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofעֲוֹנֹתַי׃a/vo/no/TAYmy iniquities

    Nevertheless, notwithstanding the great goodness of the Lord, in showing me his great and marvelous works, my heart exclaimeth: O wretched man that I am! Yea, my heart sorroweth because of my flesh; my soul grieveth because of mine iniquities.

    מֻקָּףmuk/KAFencompassed aboutאָנִיA/niI amבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofהַמַּסּוֹתham/mas/SOTthe temptationsוְהַחֲטָאִיםve/ha/cha/ta/IMand the sinsהַמְמַהֲרִיםham/ma/ha/RIMwhich do so easilyלְהַכְשִׁילֵנִי׃le/hakh/shi/le/NIbeset me

    I am encompassed about, because of the temptations and the sins which do so easily beset me.

19. 19

    וּבְבַקְּשִׁיu/ve/vak/ke/SHIand when I desireלָשׂוּשׂla/SUSto rejoiceיֵאָנַחye/A/nachgroansלִבִּיlib/BImy heartבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofחַטֹּאתָיchat/to/TAYmy sinsאַךְakhneverthelessיָדַעְתִּיya/DA/tiI knowבְּמִיbe/MIin whomבָטָחְתִּי׃va/TACH/tiI trusted

    And when I desire to rejoice, my heart groaneth because of my sins; nevertheless, I know in whom I have trusted.

20. 20

    אֱלֹהַיe/lo/HAYmy Godהָיָהha/YAhas beenמִשְׁעַנְתִּיmish/an/TImy supportהוּאhuheנִהֲלַנִיni/ha/la/NIled meבְצָרוֹתַיve/tsa/ro/TAYthrough my afflictionsבַּמִּדְבָּרbam/mid/BARin the wildernessוְהוּאve/HUand heשְׁמָרַנִיshe/ma/ra/NIpreserved meעַל־מֵיal-meupon the watersהַתְּהוֹםhat/te/HOMof the deepהַגְּדוֹלָה׃hag/ge/do/LAgreat

    My God hath been my support; he hath led me through mine afflictions in the wilderness; and he hath preserved me upon the waters of the great deep.

21. 21

    מִלְּאַנִיmil/le/a/NIhe filled meאַהֲבָתוֹa/ha/va/TOwith his loveאַףafevenעַד־כְּלוֹתad-ke/LOTunto the consumingבְּשָׂרִי׃be/sa/RIof my flesh

    He hath filled me with his love, even unto the consuming of my flesh.

22. 22

    הֵבִישׁhe/VISHhe confoundedאֶת־אוֹיְבַיet-oy/VAYmy enemiesעַדaduntoהַחֲרִידָםha/cha/ri/DAMthe causing of them to quakeלְפָנָי׃le/fa/NAYbefore me

    He hath confounded mine enemies, unto the causing of them to quake before me.

23. 23

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdשָׁמַעsha/MAhe heardצַעֲקָתִיtsa/a/ka/TImy cryבַיּוֹםvay/YOMby dayוַיִּתֶּן־לִיvay/YIT/ten-liand he gave meדַעַתDA/atknowledgeבְּחֶזְיוֹנוֹתbe/chez/yo/NOTby visionsבַּלָּיְלָה׃bal/LAY/lain the night-time

    Behold, he hath heard my cry by day, and he hath given me knowledge by visions in the night-time.

24. 24

    וּבַיּוֹםu/vay/YOMand by dayהִתְאַמַּצְתִּיhit/am/mats/TIhave I waxed boldבִתְפִלָּהvit/fil/LAin prayerעַזָּהaz/ZAmightyלְפָנָיוle/fa/NAYVbefore himאַףafyeaשִׁלַּחְתִּיshil/LACH/tihave I sent upקוֹלִיko/LImy voiceלַמָּרוֹםlam/ma/ROMon highוַיֵּרְדוּvay/yer/DUand came downמַלְאָכִיםmal/a/KHIMangelsוַיְשָׁרְתוּנִי׃vay/sha/re/tu/NIand ministered unto me

    And by day have I waxed bold in mighty prayer before him; yea, my voice have I sent up on high; and angels came down and ministered unto me.

    וְעַל־כַּנְפֵיve/AL-kan/FEand upon the wingsרוּחוֹRu/CHOof his Spiritנִשְּׂאָהnis/se/Ahas been carried awayגְּוִיָּתִיge/viy/ya/TImy bodyעַל־הָרִיםal-ha/RIMupon mountainsגְּבֹהִיםge/vo/HIMhighמְאֹדme/ODexceedinglyוַתִּרְאֶינָהvat/tir/E/naand beheldעֵינַיe/NAYmy eyesדְּבָרִיםde/va/RIMthingsגְּדוֹלִיםge/do/LIMgreatאַףafyeaגַּםgamevenגְּדוֹלִיםge/do/LIMtoo greatמֵאָדָםme/a/DAMfor manעַל־כֵּןal-kenthereforeצֻוֵּיתִיtsuv/VE/tiI was biddenלְבִלְתִּיle/vil/TInot toכׇּתְבָם׃kot/VAMwrite them

    And upon the wings of his Spirit hath my body been carried away upon exceedingly high mountains. And mine eyes have beheld great things, yea, even too great for man; therefore I was bidden that I should not write them.

    O then, if I have seen so great things, if the Lord in his condescension unto the children of men hath visited men in so much mercy, why should my heart weep and my soul linger in the valley of sorrow, and my flesh waste away, and my strength slacken, because of mine afflictions?

    וְלָמָּהve/LAM/maand whyאֶכָּנַעek/ka/NAshould I yieldלַחֵטְאla/CHETto sinבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofבְשָׂרִיve/sa/RImy fleshאַףafyeaלָמָּהLAM/mawhyאֶתֵּןet/TENshould I giveמָקוֹםma/KOMwayלַמַּסּוֹתlam/mas/SOTto temptationsלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִהְיֶהyih/YEhaveלָרַעla/RAthe evil oneמָקוֹםma/KOMplaceבִּלְבָבִיbil/va/VIin my heartלְהַשְׁחִיתle/hash/CHITto destroyשְׁלוֹמִיshe/lo/MImy peaceוּלְעַנּוֹתu/le/an/NOTand afflictנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulלָמָּהLAM/mawhyאֶכְעַסekh/ASam I angryבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofאוֹיְבִי׃oy/VImy enemy

    And why should I yield to sin, because of my flesh? Yea, why should I give way to temptations, that the evil one have place in my heart to destroy my peace and afflict my soul? Why am I angry because of mine enemy?

    עוּרִיu/RIawakeנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulאַל־תּוֹסִיפִיal-to/si/FIno longerלִנְפֹּלlin/POLdroopבַּחֵטְאba/CHETin sinשְׂמַחse/MACHrejoiceלִבִּיlib/BIO my heartוְאַל־תִּתֵּןve/AL-tit/TENand giveעוֹדodno moreמָקוֹםma/KOMplaceלְאוֹיֵבle/o/YEVfor the enemyנַפְשִׁי׃naf/SHIof my soul

    Awake, my soul! No longer droop in sin. Rejoice, O my heart, and give place no more for the enemy of my soul.

29. 29

    אַל־תִּכְעַסal-tikh/ASdo not angerעוֹדodagainבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofאוֹיְבָיoy/VAYmy enemiesאַל־יִרֶףal-YI/refdo not slackenכֹּחִיko/CHImy strengthבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecause ofצָרוֹתָי׃tsa/ro/TAYmy afflictions

    Do not anger again because of mine enemies. Do not slacken my strength because of mine afflictions.

30. 30

    שְׂמַחse/MACHrejoiceלִבִּיlib/BIO my heartוּצְעַקu/tse/AKand cryאֶל־יְהוָהel-Adonaiunto Adonaiוֶאֱמֹרve/e/MORand sayיְהוָהAdonaiO Adonaiאֲהַלְלֶךָּa/hal/LEK/kaI will praise youלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverאַףafyeaתָּגֵלta/GELwill rejoiceנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulבְּךָbe/KHAin youאֱלֹהַיe/lo/HAYmy Godוְצוּרve/TSURand the rockיְשׁוּעָתִי׃ye/shu/a/TIof my salvation

    Rejoice, O my heart, and cry unto the Lord, and say: O Lord, I will praise thee forever; yea, my soul will rejoice in thee, my God, and the rock of my salvation.

31. 31

    יְהוָהAdonaiO Adonaiהֲתִגְאַלha/tig/ALwill you redeemנַפְשִׁיnaf/SHImy soulהֲתַצִּילֵנִיha/tats/tsi/le/NIwill you deliver meמִידֵיMI/deout of the handsאוֹיְבָיoy/VAYof my enemiesהֲתַעֲשֵׂנִיha/ta/a/se/NIwill you make meלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatאֶרְעַדer/ADI may shakeלְמַרְאֵהle/mar/Eat the appearanceחֵטְא׃chetof sin

    O Lord, wilt thou redeem my soul? Wilt thou deliver me out of the hands of mine enemies? Wilt thou make me that I may shake at the appearance of sin?

    תִּסָּגֵרְנָהtis/sa/ger/NAmay be shutשַׁעֲרֵיsha/a/REthe gatesשְׁאוֹלshe/OLof hellתָּמִידta/MIDcontinuallyלְפָנַיle/fa/NAYbefore meבַּעֲבוּרba/a/VURbecauseאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנִשְׁבָּרnish/BARis brokenלִבִּיlib/BImy heartוְרוּחִיve/ru/CHIand my spiritנִדְכָּהnid/KAis contriteיְהוָהAdonaiO Adonaiהֲלֹאha/LOwill notתִסְגֹּרtis/GORyou shutשַׁעֲרֵיsha/a/REthe gatesצִדְקְךָtsid/ke/KHAof your righteousnessלְפָנַיle/fa/NAYbefore meלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatאֵלֵךְe/LEKHI may walkבִּנְתִיבbin/TIVin the pathהָעֵמֶקha/E/mekof the valleyהַשָּׁפֵלhash/sha/FELlowלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatאֶשְׁמֹרesh/MORI may be strictאֶת־הַדֶּרֶךְet-had/DE/rekhin the roadהַיְשָׁרָה׃hay/sha/RAplain

    May the gates of hell be shut continually before me, because that my heart is broken and my spirit is contrite! O Lord, wilt thou not shut the gates of thy righteousness before me, that I may walk in the path of the low valley, that I may be strict in the plain road!

33. 33

    יְהוָהAdonaiO Adonaiהַתְסוֹבְבֵנִיhat/sov/ve/NIwill you encircle me aroundבִּמְעִילbim/ILin the robeצִדְקֶךָtsid/KE/khaof your righteousnessיְהוָהAdonaiO Adonaiהֲתַעֲשֶׂה־לִּיha/ta/a/SE-liwill you make for meדֶרֶךְDE/rekha wayלִפְלֵיטָתִיlif/le/ta/TIfor my escapeמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbeforeאוֹיְבָיoy/VAYmy enemiesהַתְיַשֵּׁרhat/yash/SHERwill you make straightאׇרְחִיor/CHImy pathלְפָנָיle/fa/NAYbefore meהֲלֹאha/LOwill you notתָשִׂיםta/SIMplaceמִכְשׁוֹלmikh/SHOLa stumbling blockבְּדַרְכִּיbe/dar/KIin my wayכִּי־אִםki-imbutתְּפַנֶּהte/fan/NEthat you wouldst clearדַרְכִּיdar/KImy wayלְפָנַיle/fa/NAYbefore meוְלֹאve/LOand notתִגְדֹּרtig/DORhedge upדַּרְכִּיdar/KImy wayכִּי־אִםki-imbutדַּרְכֵיdar/KHEthe waysאוֹיְבִי׃oy/VIof my enemy

    O Lord, wilt thou encircle me around in the robe of thy righteousness! O Lord, wilt thou make a way for mine escape before mine enemies! Wilt thou make my path straight before me! Wilt thou not place a stumbling block in my way—but that thou wouldst clear my way before me, and hedge not up my way, but the ways of mine enemy.

    O Lord, I have trusted in thee, and I will trust in thee forever. I will not put my trust in the arm of flesh; for I know that cursed is he that putteth his trust in the arm of flesh. Yea, cursed is he that putteth his trust in man or maketh flesh his arm.

    Yea, I know that God will give liberally to him that asketh. Yea, my God will give me, if I ask not amiss; therefore I will lift up my voice unto thee; yea, I will cry unto thee, my God, the rock of my righteousness. Behold, my voice shall forever ascend up unto thee, my rock and mine everlasting God. Amen.
