Isaiah 62 יְשַׁעְיָהוּ פרק ס״ב

1. 1

   לְמַעַןfor-the-sake-ofצִיּוֹןZionלֹאnotאֶחֱשֶׁהwill-I-hold-my-peaceוּלְמַעַןand-for-the-sake-ofיְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםJerusalemלֹאnotאֶשְׁקוֹטwill-I-be-stillעַד־יֵצֵאuntil-goes-forthכַנֹּגַהּlike-radianceצִדְקָהּher-righteousnessוִישׁוּעָתָהּand-her-salvationכְּלַפִּידlike-a-torchיִבְעָר׃burning

   For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

   וְרָאוּand-shall-seeגוֹיִםthe-nationsצִדְקֵךְyour-righteousnessוְכׇל־מְלָכִיםand-all-kingsכְּבוֹדֵךְyour-gloryוְקֹרָאand-you-shall-be-calledלָךְto-youשֵׁםthe-name-ofחָדָשׁnewאֲשֶׁרwhichפִּיthe-mouth-ofיְהֹוָהthe-LORDיִקֳּבֶנּוּ׃shall-express

   And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

   וְהָיִיתyou-shall-also-beעֲטֶרֶתa-crown-ofתִּפְאֶרֶתgloryבְּיַד־יְהֹוָהby-the-hand-of-the-LORD[וּצְנִיף]and-a-diademמְלוּכָהroyalבְּכַף־אֱלֹהָיִךְ׃in-the-hand-of-your-God

   Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

   לֹא־יֵאָמֵרshall-not-be-termedלָךְto-youעוֹדany-moreעֲזוּבָהForsakenוּלְאַרְצֵךְneither-shall-your-landלֹא־יֵאָמֵרshall-not-be-termedעוֹדany-moreשְׁמָמָהDesolateכִּיforלָךְto-youיִקָּרֵאshall-be-calledחֶפְצִי־בָהּHephzi-bahוּלְאַרְצֵךְand-your-landבְּעוּלָהBeulahכִּי־חָפֵץfor-delightsיְהֹוָהthe-LORDבָּךְin-youוְאַרְצֵךְand-your-landתִּבָּעֵל׃shall-be-espoused

   Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.

   כִּי־יִבְעַלfor-as-takes-to-himselfבָּחוּרa-young-manבְּתוּלָהa-virginיִבְעָלוּךְso-shall-take-youבָּנָיִךְyour-sonsוּמְשׂוֹשׂand-as-rejoicesחָתָןthe-bridegroomעַל־כַּלָּהover-the-brideיָשִׂישׂso-shall-rejoiceעָלַיִךְover-youאֱלֹהָיִךְ׃your-God

   For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.

   עַל־חוֹמֹתַיִךְupon-your-wallsיְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםJerusalemהִפְקַדְתִּיI-have-setשֹׁמְרִיםwatchmenכׇּל־הַיּוֹםdayוְכׇל־הַלַּיְלָהor-nightתָּמִידcontinuallyלֹאneverיֶחֱשׁוּshall-they-hold-their-peaceהַמַּזְכִּרִיםyou-that-make-mention-ofאֶת־יְהֹוָהthe-LORDאַל־דֳּמִיtake-no-restלָכֶם׃to-you

   I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence,

7. 7

   וְאַל־תִּתְּנוּand-giveדֳמִיno-restלוֹhimעַד־יְכוֹנֵןtill-he-establishesוְעַד־יָשִׂיםand-till-he-makesאֶת־יְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִםJerusalemתְּהִלָּהa-praiseבָּאָרֶץ׃in-the-earth

   And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

8. 8

   נִשְׁבַּעhas-swornיְהֹוָהthe-LORDבִּימִינוֹby-his-right-handוּבִזְרוֹעַand-by-the-arm-ofעֻזּוֹhis-strengthאִם־אֶתֵּןsurely-I-will-no-more-giveאֶת־דְּגָנֵךְyour-cornעוֹדagainמַאֲכׇלto-be-foodלְאֹיְבַיִךְto-your-enemiesוְאִם־יִשְׁתּוּand-shall-not-drinkבְנֵי־נֵכָרthe-sons-of-the-strangerתִּירוֹשֵׁךְyour-wineאֲשֶׁרwhichיָגַעַתְּyou-have-laboredבּוֹ׃for-which

   The LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:

   כִּיthatמְאַסְפָיוthey-that-have-gathered-itיֹאכְלֻהוּshall-eat-itוְהִלְלוּand-praiseאֶת־יְהֹוָהthe-LORDוּמְקַבְּצָיוand-they-that-have-brought-it-togetherיִשְׁתֻּהוּshall-drink-itבְּחַצְרוֹתin-the-courts-ofקׇדְשִׁי׃my-sanctuary

   But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the LORD; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.

    עִבְרוּgo-throughעִבְרוּgo-throughבַּשְּׁעָרִיםthe-gatesפַּנּוּprepareדֶּרֶךְthe-way-ofהָעָםthe-peopleסֹלּוּbank-upסֹלּוּbuild-upהַמְסִלָּהthe-highwayסַקְּלוּclearמֵאֶבֶןthe-stonesהָרִימוּlift-upנֵסa-standardעַל־הָעַמִּים׃for-the-people

    Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.

    הִנֵּהbeholdיְהֹוָהthe-LORDהִשְׁמִיעַhas-proclaimedאֶל־קְצֵהto-the-end-ofהָאָרֶץthe-worldאִמְרוּsayלְבַת־צִיּוֹןto-the-daughter-of-Zionהִנֵּהbeholdיִשְׁעֵךְyour-salvationבָּאcomesהִנֵּהbeholdשְׂכָרוֹhis-rewardאִתּוֹwith-himוּפְעֻלָּתוֹand-his-wagesלְפָנָיו׃before-him

    Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

12. 12

    וְקָרְאוּand-they-shall-callלָהֶםto-themעַם־הַקֹּדֶשׁThe-holy-peopleגְּאוּלֵיThe-redeemed-ofיְהֹוָהthe-LORDוְלָךְand-youיִקָּרֵאshall-be-calledדְרוּשָׁהSought-outעִירa-cityלֹאnotנֶעֱזָבָה׃forsaken

    And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.
