   Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

   He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.

   A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.

   He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

   Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

   אֲנִיa/NIIיְהֹוָהAdonaithe-LORDקְרָאתִיךָke/ra/TI/khahave-called-youבְצֶדֶקve/TSE/dekin-righteousnessוְאַחְזֵקve/ach/ZEKand-will-holdבְּיָדֶךָbe/ya/DE/khayour-handוְאֶצׇּרְךָve/ets/tsor/KHAand-will-keep-youוְאֶתֶּנְךָve/et/ten/KHAand-give-youלִבְרִיתliv/RITfor-a-covenant-ofעָםampeopleלְאוֹרle/ORfor-a-light-ofגּוֹיִם׃go/YIMnations

   I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

   To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

   אֲנִיa/NIIיְהֹוָהAdonaithe-LORDהוּאhuthatשְׁמִיshe/MImy-nameוּכְבוֹדִיu/khe/vo/DIand-My-gloryלְאַחֵרle/a/CHERto-anotherלֹא־אֶתֵּןlo-et/TENI-will-not-giveוּתְהִלָּתִיu/te/hil/la/TIand-my-praiseלַפְּסִילִים׃lap/pe/si/LIMto-carved-images

   I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

   הָרִאשֹׁנוֹתha/ri/sho/NOTthe-former-thingsהִנֵּה־בָאוּhin/NE-VA/ubehold-have-comeוַחֲדָשׁוֹתva/cha/da/SHOTand-new-thingsאֲנִיa/NIIמַגִּידmag/GIDdeclaringבְּטֶרֶםbe/TE/rembeforeתִּצְמַחְנָהtits/MACH/nathey-spring-forthאַשְׁמִיעַash/MI/aI-make-hearאֶתְכֶם׃et/KHEMyou

   Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

    Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.

    Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.

    יָשִׂימוּya/SI/mulet-them-giveלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito-the-LORDכָּבוֹדka/VODgloryוּתְהִלָּתוֹu/te/hil/la/TOand-His-praiseבָּאִיִּיםba/iy/YIMin-the-islandsיַגִּידוּ׃yag/GI/dulet-them-declare

    Let them give glory unto the LORD, and declare his praise in the islands.

    יְהֹוָהAdonaithe-LORDכַּגִּבּוֹרkag/gib/BORas-a-mighty-manיֵצֵאye/TSEshall-go-forthכְּאִישׁke/ISHlike-a-man-ofמִלְחָמוֹתmil/cha/MOTwarיָעִירya/IRHe-shall-stir-upקִנְאָהkin/Azealיָרִיעַya/RI/aHe-shall-shoutאַף־יַצְרִיחַaf-yats/RI/achyea-roarעַל־אֹיְבָיוal-oy/VAYVagainst-His-enemiesיִתְגַּבָּר׃yit/gab/BARHe-shall-prevail

    The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies.

    הֶחֱשֵׁיתִיhe/che/SHE/tiI-have-held-my-peaceמֵעוֹלָםme/o/LAMa-long-timeאַחֲרִישׁa/cha/RISHI-have-been-stillאֶתְאַפָּקet/ap/PAKand-refrained-myselfכַּיּוֹלֵדָהkay/yo/le/DAas-the-woman-in-travailאֶפְעֶהef/EI-will-groanאֶשֹּׁםesh/SHOMI-will-gaspוְאֶשְׁאַףve/esh/AFand-pantיָחַד׃YA/chadtogether

    I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.

    אַחֲרִיבa/cha/RIVI-will-make-wasteהָרִיםha/RIMmountainsוּגְבָעוֹתu/ge/va/OTand-hillsוְכׇל־עֶשְׂבָּםve/KHOL-es/BAMand-all-their-herbsאוֹבִישׁo/VISHI-will-dry-upוְשַׂמְתִּיve/sam/TIand-I-will-makeנְהָרוֹתne/ha/ROTthe-riversלָאִיִּיםla/iy/YIMislandsוַאֲגַמִּיםva/a/gam/MIMand-the-poolsאוֹבִישׁ׃o/VISHI-will-dry-up

    I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools.

    וְהוֹלַכְתִּיve/ho/lakh/TIand-I-will-bringעִוְרִיםiv/RIMthe-blindבְּדֶרֶךְbe/DE/rekhin-a-wayלֹאlonotיָדָעוּya/DA/uthey-knewבִּנְתִיבוֹתbin/ti/VOTin-pathsלֹא־יָדְעוּlo-ya/de/Uthey-have-not-knownאַדְרִיכֵםad/ri/KHEMI-will-lead-themאָשִׂיםa/SIMI-will-makeמַחְשָׁךְmach/SHAKHdarknessלִפְנֵיהֶםlif/ne/HEMbefore-themלָאוֹרla/ORlightוּמַעֲקַשִּׁיםu/ma/a/kash/SHIMand-crooked-thingsלְמִישׁוֹרle/mi/SHORstraightאֵלֶּהEL/letheseהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthe-thingsעֲשִׂיתִםa/si/TIMI-have-done-themוְלֹאve/LOand-notעֲזַבְתִּים׃a/zav/TIMI-have-forsaken-them

    And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.

    נָסֹגוּna/SO/guthey-shall-be-turnedאָחוֹרa/CHORbackיֵבֹשׁוּye/VO/shuthey-shall-be-ashamedבֹשֶׁתVO/shetshameהַבֹּטְחִיםhab/bot/CHIMthat-trustבַּפָּסֶלbap/PA/selin-the-carved-imageהָאֹמְרִיםha/om/RIMthat-sayלְמַסֵּכָהle/mas/se/KHAto-the-molten-imageאַתֶּםat/TEMyouאֱלֹהֵינוּ׃e/lo/HE/nuour-gods

    They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.

18. 18

    הַחֵרְשִׁיםha/cher/SHIMO-deafשְׁמָעוּshe/MA/uhearוְהַעִוְרִיםve/ha/iv/RIMand-O-blindהַבִּיטוּhab/BI/tulookלִרְאוֹת׃lir/OTthat-you-may-see

    Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.

    מִיmiwhoעִוֵּרiv/VERblindכִּיkibutאִם־עַבְדִּיim-av/DIonly-my-servantוְחֵרֵשׁve/che/RESHand-deafכְּמַלְאָכִיke/mal/a/KHIas-my-messengerאֶשְׁלָחesh/LACHI-sendמִיmiwhoעִוֵּרiv/VERblindכִּמְשֻׁלָּםkim/shul/LAMas-he-that-is-perfectוְעִוֵּרve/iv/VERand-blindכְּעֶבֶדke/E/vedas-the-servant-ofיְהֹוָה׃Adonaithe-LORD

    Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD's servant?

20. 20

    Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.

21. 21

    יְהֹוָהAdonaithe-LORDחָפֵץcha/FETSis-pleasedלְמַעַןle/MA/anfor-the-sake-ofצִדְקוֹtsid/KOHis-righteousnessיַגְדִּילyag/DILHe-magnifiesתּוֹרָהto/RAlawוְיַאְדִּיר׃ve/ya/DIRand-makes-it-glorious

    The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.

22. 22

    וְהוּאve/HUand-itעַם־בָּזוּזam-ba/ZUZa-people-plunderedוְשָׁסוּיve/sha/SUYand-spoiledהָפֵחַha/FE/achsnaredבַּחוּרִיםba/chu/RIMin-holesכֻּלָּםkul/LAMall-of-themוּבְבָתֵּיu/ve/vat/TEand-in-houses-ofכְלָאִיםkhe/la/IMprisonsהׇחְבָּאוּhoch/BA/uthey-are-hidהָיוּha/YUthey-areלָבַזla/VAZfor-plunderוְאֵיןve/ENand-noneמַצִּילmats/TSILdeliveringמְשִׁסָּהme/shis/SAfor-a-spoilוְאֵין־אֹמֵרve/EN-o/MERand-none-saysהָשַׁב׃ha/SHAVrestore

    But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.

    Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come?

    מִי־נָתַןmi-na/TANwho-gave[לִמְשִׁסָּה]lim/shis/SAfor-a-spoilיַעֲקֹבYa/a/KOVJacobוְיִשְׂרָאֵלve/Yis/ra/ELand-Israelלְבֹזְזִיםle/voz/ZIMto-the-plunderersהֲלוֹאha/LOdid-notיְהֹוָהAdonaithe-LORDזוּzuHe-whomחָטָאנוּcha/TA/nuwe-have-sinnedלוֹloagainst-Himוְלֹא־אָבוּve/LO-a/VUand-they-would-notבִדְרָכָיוvid/ra/KHAYVin-His-waysהָלוֹךְha/LOKHwalkוְלֹאve/LOand-notשָׁמְעוּsha/me/Uthey-heardבְּתוֹרָתוֹ׃be/to/ra/TOto-His-law

    Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law.

    וַיִּשְׁפֹּךְvay/yish/POKHand-He-pouredעָלָיוa/LAYVupon-himחֵמָהche/MAthe-fury-ofאַפּוֹap/POHis-angerוֶעֱזוּזve/e/ZUZand-the-strength-ofמִלְחָמָהmil/cha/MAbattleוַתְּלַהֲטֵהוּvat/te/la/ha/TE/huand-it-has-set-him-on-fireמִסָּבִיבmis/sa/VIVround-aboutוְלֹאve/LOand-notיָדָעya/DAhe-knewוַתִּבְעַר־בּוֹvat/tiv/AR-boand-it-burned-himוְלֹא־יָשִׂיםve/LO-ya/SIMand-he-did-not-lay-itעַל־לֵב׃al-levto-heart

    Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart.
