   The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.

   And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.

   וְנָבְקָהve/na/ve/KAand-shall-be-emptiedרוּחַ־מִצְרַיִםRU/ach-Mits/RA/yimthe-spirit-of-Egyptבְּקִרְבּוֹbe/kir/BOin-his-midstוַעֲצָתוֹva/a/tsa/TOand-his-counselאֲבַלֵּעַa/val/LE/aI-will-swallow-upוְדָרְשׁוּve/da/re/SHUand-they-shall-seekאֶל־הָאֱלִילִיםel-ha/e/li/LIMto-the-idolsוְאֶל־הָאִטִּיםve/EL-ha/it/TIMand-to-the-charmersוְאֶל־הָאֹבוֹתve/EL-ha/o/VOTand-to-the-mediumsוְאֶל־הַיִּדְּעֹנִים׃ve/EL-hay/yid/de/o/NIMand-unto-the-wizards

   And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.

   And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts.

   וְנִשְּׁתוּ־מַיִםve/nish/she/TU-MA/yimand-the-waters-shall-failמֵהַיָּםme/hay/YAMfrom-the-seaוְנָהָרve/na/HARand-the-riverיֶחֱרַבye/che/RAVshall-be-wastedוְיָבֵשׁ׃ve/ya/VESHand-dried-up

   And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up.

   וְהֶאֶזְנִיחוּve/he/ez/NI/chuand-shall-become-foulנְהָרוֹתne/ha/ROTthe-riversדָּלְלוּda/le/LUshall-be-diminishedוְחָרְבוּve/cha/re/VUand-shall-dry-upיְאֹרֵיye/o/REthe-streams-ofמָצוֹרma/TSORdefenseקָנֶהka/NEthe-reedsוָסוּףva/SUFand-rushesקָמֵלוּ׃ka/ME/lushall-wither

   And they shall turn the rivers far away; and the brooks of defence shall be emptied and dried up: the reeds and flags shall wither.

   עָרוֹתa/ROTthe-meadowsעַל־יְאוֹרal-Ye/ORby-the-Nileעַל־פִּיal-piby-the-mouth-ofיְאוֹרYe/ORthe-Nileוְכֹלve/KHOLand-every-thingמִזְרַעmiz/RAthe-sown-field-ofיְאוֹרYe/ORthe-Nileיִיבַשׁyi/VASHshall-witherנִדַּףnid/DAFbe-driven-awayוְאֵינֶנּוּ׃ve/e/NEN/nuand-be-no-more

   The paper reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and every thing sown by the brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no more.

   וְאָנוּve/a/NUand-shall-lamentהַדַּיָּגִיםhad/day/ya/GIMthe-fishermenוְאָבְלוּve/a/ve/LUand-shall-mournכׇּל־מַשְׁלִיכֵיkol-mash/li/KHEall-those-who-castבַיְאוֹרVay/ORinto-the-Nileחַכָּהchak/KAa-hookוּפֹרְשֵׂיu/for/SEand-they-that-spreadמִכְמֹרֶתmikh/MO/reta-netעַל־פְּנֵי־מַיִםal-pe/NE-MA/yimupon-the-watersאֻמְלָלוּ׃um/LA/lushall-languish

   The fishers also shall mourn, and all they that cast angle into the brooks shall lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish.

   וּבֹשׁוּu/VO/shuand-shall-be-ashamedעֹבְדֵיov/DEthey-that-work-inפִשְׁתִּיםfish/TIMflaxשְׂרִיקוֹתse/ri/KOTcombedוְאֹרְגִיםve/or/GIMand-they-that-weaveחוֹרָי׃cho/RAYwhite-cotton

   Moreover they that work in fine flax, and they that weave networks, shall be confounded.

10. 10

    וְהָיוּve/ha/YUand-shall-beשָׁתֹתֶיהָsha/to/TE/haher-netsמְדֻכָּאִיםme/duk/ka/IMcrushedכׇּל־עֹשֵׂיkol-O/seall-that-makeשֶׂכֶרSE/kherdamsאַגְמֵי־נָפֶשׁ׃ag/ME-NA/feshgrieved-of-soul

    And they shall be broken in the purposes thereof, all that make sluices and ponds for fish.

    אַךְ־אֱוִלִיםakh-e/vi/LIMsurely-foolsשָׂרֵיsa/REthe-princes-ofצֹעַןTSO/anZoanחַכְמֵיchakh/MEthe-wise-ofיֹעֲצֵיyo/a/TSEcounselors-ofפַרְעֹהFar/OPharaohעֵצָהe/TSAcounselנִבְעָרָהniv/a/RAis-become-brutishאֵיךְekhhowתֹּאמְרוּto/me/RUyou-sayאֶל־פַּרְעֹהel-Par/Oto-Pharaohבֶּן־חֲכָמִיםben-cha/kha/MIMthe-son-of-the-wiseאֲנִיa/NIIבֶּן־מַלְכֵי־קֶדֶם׃ben-mal/KHE-KE/demthe-son-of-ancient-kings

    Surely the princes of Zoan are fools, the counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?

    אַיָּםay/YAMwhere-are-theyאֵפוֹאe/FOthenחֲכָמֶיךָcha/kha/ME/khayour-wise-menוְיַגִּידוּve/yag/GI/duand-let-them-tellנָאnaI-prayלָךְlakhto-youוְיֵדְעוּve/yed/Uand-let-them-knowמַה־יָּעַץma-ya/ATSwhat-has-purposedיְהֹוָהAdonaithe-LORDצְבָאוֹתTse/va/OTof-Hostsעַל־מִצְרָיִם׃al-Mits/RA/yimconcerning-Egypt

    Where are they? where are thy wise men? and let them tell thee now, and let them know what the LORD of hosts hath purposed upon Egypt.

    נוֹאֲלוּno/a/LUhave-become-foolsשָׂרֵיsa/REthe-princes-ofצֹעַןTSO/anZoanנִשְּׁאוּnish/she/Uare-deceivedשָׂרֵיsa/REthe-princes-ofנֹףNofNophהִתְעוּhit/Uthey-have-led-astrayאֶת־מִצְרַיִםet-Mits/RA/yimEgyptפִּנַּתpin/NATthe-cornerstone-ofשְׁבָטֶיהָ׃she/va/TE/haits-tribes

    The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have also seduced Egypt, even they that are the stay of the tribes thereof.

    יְהֹוָהAdonaithe-LORDמָסַךְma/SAKHhas-mingledבְּקִרְבָּהּbe/kir/BAin-the-midst-of-herרוּחַRU/acha-spirit-ofעִוְעִיםiv/IMconfusionוְהִתְעוּve/hit/Uand-they-have-caused-to-errאֶת־מִצְרַיִםet-Mits/RA/yimEgyptבְּכׇל־מַעֲשֵׂהוּbe/KHOL-ma/a/SE/huin-all-its-workכְּהִתָּעוֹתke/hit/ta/OTas-the-staggering-ofשִׁכּוֹרshik/KORa-drunken-manבְּקִיאוֹ׃be/ki/Oin-his-vomit

    The LORD hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit.

15. 15

    וְלֹא־יִהְיֶהve/LO-yih/YEneither-shall-there-beלְמִצְרַיִםle/Mits/RA/yimfor-Egyptמַעֲשֶׂהma/a/SEany-workאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיַעֲשֶׂהya/a/SEmay-doרֹאשׁroshheadוְזָנָבve/za/NAVand-tailכִּפָּהkip/PAbranchוְאַגְמוֹן׃ve/ag/MONand-rush

    Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which the head or tail, branch or rush, may do.

16. 16

    בַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin-the-dayהַהוּאha/HUthatיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall-beמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptכַּנָּשִׁיםkan/na/SHIMlike-the-womenוְחָרַדve/cha/RADand-it-shall-be-afraidוּפָחַדu/fa/CHADand-fearמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEfrom-beforeתְּנוּפַתte/nu/FATthe-shaking-ofיַד־יְהֹוָהyad-Adonaithe-hand-of-the-LORDצְבָאוֹתTse/va/OTof-Hostsאֲשֶׁר־הוּאa/SHER-huwhich-Heמֵנִיףme/NIFshakesעָלָיו׃a/LAYVover-it

    In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which he shaketh over it.

    וְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand-shall-beאַדְמַתad/MATthe-land-ofיְהוּדָהYe/hu/DAJudahלְמִצְרַיִםle/Mits/RA/yimto-Egyptלְחׇגָּאle/chog/GAfor-a-terrorכֹּלkolallאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיַזְכִּירyaz/KIRmakes-mention-ofאֹתָהּo/TAitאֵלָיוe/LAYVto-himיִפְחָדyif/CHADshall-be-afraidמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause-ofעֲצַתa/TSATthe-counsel-ofיְהֹוָהAdonaithe-LORDצְבָאוֹתTse/va/OTof-Hostsאֲשֶׁר־הוּאa/SHER-huwhich-Heיוֹעֵץyo/ETScounselsעָלָיו׃a/LAYVagainst-it

    And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the LORD of hosts, which he hath determined against it.

    In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the LORD of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction.

    בַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin-the-dayהַהוּאha/HUthatיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall-beמִזְבֵּחַmiz/BE/achan-altarלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito-the-LORDבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin-the-midst-ofאֶרֶץE/retsthe-land-ofמִצְרָיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוּמַצֵּבָהu/mats/tse/VAand-a-pillarאֵצֶל־גְּבוּלָהּE/tsel-ge/vu/LAat-its-borderלַיהֹוָה׃la-Adonaito-the-LORD

    In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD.

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand-it-shall-beלְאוֹתle/OTfor-a-signוּלְעֵדu/le/EDand-for-a-witnessלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito-the-LORDצְבָאוֹתTse/va/OTof-Hostsבְּאֶרֶץbe/E/retsin-the-land-ofמִצְרָיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptכִּי־יִצְעֲקוּki-yits/a/KUfor-they-shall-cryאֶל־יְהֹוָהel-Adonaito-the-LORDמִפְּנֵיmip/pe/NEbecause-ofלֹחֲצִיםlo/cha/TSIMthe-oppressorsוְיִשְׁלַחve/yish/LACHand-He-shall-sendלָהֶםla/HEMto-themמוֹשִׁיעַmo/SHI/aa-saviorוָרָבva/RAVand-a-great-oneוְהִצִּילָם׃ve/hits/tsi/LAMand-he-shall-deliver-them

    And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.

    וְנוֹדַעve/no/DAand-shall-be-knownיְהֹוָהAdonaithe-LORDלְמִצְרַיִםle/Mits/RA/yimto-Egyptוְיָדְעוּve/ya/de/Uand-shall-knowמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptאֶת־יְהֹוָהet-Adonaithe-LORDבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin-the-dayהַהוּאha/HUthatוְעָבְדוּve/a/ve/DUand-shall-serveזֶבַחZE/vachsacrificeוּמִנְחָהu/min/CHAand-meal-offeringוְנָדְרוּ־נֵדֶרve/na/de/RU-NE/derand-they-shall-vow-a-vowלַיהֹוָהla-Adonaito-the-LORDוְשִׁלֵּמוּ׃ve/shil/LE/muand-pay

    And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and perform it.

22. 22

    וְנָגַףve/na/GAFand-shall-smiteיְהֹוָהAdonaithe-LORDאֶת־מִצְרַיִםet-Mits/RA/yimEgyptנָגֹףna/GOFsmiteוְרָפוֹאve/ra/FOand-healוְשָׁבוּve/SHA/vuand-they-shall-returnעַד־יְהֹוָהad-Adonaito-the-LORDוְנֶעְתַּרve/ne/TARand-He-shall-be-entreatedלָהֶםla/HEMby-themוּרְפָאָם׃u/re/fa/AMand-shall-heal-them

    And the LORD shall smite Egypt: he shall smite and heal it: and they shall return even to the LORD, and he shall be intreated of them, and shall heal them.

    In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.

    In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land:

25. 25

    אֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichבֵּרְכוֹber/KHOhas-blessed-himיְהֹוָהAdonaithe-LORDצְבָאוֹתTse/va/OTof-Hostsלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingבָּרוּךְba/RUKHblessedעַמִּיam/MImy-peopleמִצְרַיִםMits/RA/yimEgyptוּמַעֲשֵׂהu/ma/a/SEand-the-work-ofיָדַיya/DAYmy-handsאַשּׁוּרAsh/SHURAssyriaוְנַחֲלָתִיve/na/cha/la/TIand-my-inheritanceיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELIsrael

    Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.
