   Hearken, O ye people of my church, saith the Lord your God, and hear the word of the Lord concerning you—

   The Lord who shall suddenly come to his temple; the Lord who shall come down upon the world with a curse to judgment; yea, upon all the nations that forget God, and upon all the ungodly among you.

   כִּיkiforיֶחֱשֹׂףye/che/SOFhe shall make bareאֶת־זְרוֹעַet-ze/RO/ahis armקׇדְשׁוֹkod/SHOholyלְעֵינֵיle/e/NEin the eyesכׇּל־הַגּוֹיִםkol-hag/go/YIMof all the nationsוְרָאוּve/ra/Uand shall seeכׇּל־אַפְסֵי־אָרֶץkol-af/SE-A/retsall the ends of the earthאֵת־יְשׁוּעַתet-ye/shu/ATthe salvationאֱלֹהֵיהֶם׃e/lo/he/HEMof their God

   For he shall make bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of their God.

   Wherefore, prepare ye, prepare ye, O my people; sanctify yourselves; gather ye together, O ye people of my church, upon the land of Zion, all you that have not been commanded to tarry.

   צְאוּtse/Ugo you outמִבָּבֶלmib/Ba/VELfrom Babylonהִבָּרוּhib/BA/rube you cleanנֹשְׂאֵיnos/Ethat bearכְּלֵיke/LEthe vesselsיְהוָה׃Adonaiof the Lord

   Go ye out from Babylon. Be ye clean that bear the vessels of the Lord.

   קִרְאוּkir/Ucallעֲצָרוֹתa/tsa/ROTyour solemn assembliesוְדַבְּרוּve/dab/be/RUand speakאִישׁishoneאֶלeltoרֵעֵהוּre/E/huanotherתָּמִידta/MIDoftenוְיִקְרָאve/yik/RAand let callכׇּלkoleveryאִישׁishmanבְּשֵׁםbe/SHEMupon the nameיְהוָה׃Adonaiof the Lord

   Call your solemn assemblies, and speak often one to another. And let every man call upon the name of the Lord.

   Yea, verily I say unto you again, the time has come when the voice of the Lord is unto you: Go ye out of Babylon; gather ye out from among the nations, from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

   Send forth the elders of my church unto the nations which are afar off; unto the islands of the sea; send forth unto foreign lands; call upon all nations, first upon the Gentiles, and then upon the Jews.

   וְהִנֵּהve/hin/NEand beholdוְהֵןve/HENand loזֹאתzotthisתִּהְיֶהtih/YEshall beקְרִיאָתָםke/ri/a/TAMtheir cryוְקוֹלve/KOLand the voiceיְהוָהAdonaiof the Lordאֶלeluntoכׇּלkolallהָעַמִּיםha/am/MIMpeopleלְכוּle/KHUgo you forthאֶלeluntoאֶרֶץE/retsthe landצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONof Zionלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִרְחַבyir/CHAVmay be enlargedגְּבוּלge/VULthe bordersעַמִּיam/MIof my peopleוְתֶחֱזַקְנָהve/te/che/zak/NAand that may be strengthenedיְתֵדֹתֶיהָye/te/do/te/HAher stakesוְתֵצֵאve/te/TSEand may go forthצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONZionאֶלeluntoכׇּלkolallהַסְּבִיבוֹת׃has/se/vi/VOTregions round about

   And behold, and lo, this shall be their cry, and the voice of the Lord unto all people: Go ye forth unto the land of Zion, that the borders of my people may be enlarged, and that her stakes may be strengthened, and that Zion may go forth unto the regions round about.

    Yea, let the cry go forth among all people: Awake and arise and go forth to meet the Bridegroom; behold and lo, the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Prepare yourselves for the great day of the Lord.

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeשִׁקְדוּshik/DUwatchכִּיkiforלֹאloneitherתֵדְעוּted/Uyou knowאֶת־הַיּוֹםet-hay/YOMthe dayוְאֶתve/ETnorהַשָּׁעָה׃hash/sha/Athe hour

    Watch, therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour.

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeהַנִּמְצָאִיםhan/nim/tsa/IMwho areבְּקֶרֶבbe/KE/revamongהַגּוֹיִםhag/Go/YIMthe Gentilesיָנוּסוּya/NU/sulet them fleeאֶלeluntoצִיּוֹן׃Tsiy/YONZion

    Let them, therefore, who are among the Gentiles flee unto Zion.

    וַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand let them whoמִיהוּדָהmI/hu/DAbe of Judahיָנוּסוּya/NU/sufleeאֶלeluntoיְרוּשָׁלַיִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemאֶלeluntoהָרֵי־בֵית־יְהוָה׃ha/RE-vet-Adonaithe mountains of the Lord's house

    And let them who be of Judah flee unto Jerusalem, unto the mountains of the Lord's house.

14. 14

    צְאוּtse/Ugo you outמִתּוֹךְmit/TOKHfrom amongהַגּוֹיִםhag/go/YIMthe nationsגַּםgamevenמִבָּבֶלmib/Ba/VELfrom Babylonמִתּוֹךְmit/TOKHfrom the midstהָרִשְׁעָהha/rish/Aof wickednessהִיאhiwhich isבָּבֶלBa/VELBabylonהָרוּחָנִית׃ha/ru/cha/NITspiritual

    Go ye out from among the nations, even from Babylon, from the midst of wickedness, which is spiritual Babylon.

    אַךְakhbutאָמֵןa/MENverilyכֹּהkothusאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordאַלalnotיִהְיֶהyih/YElet beמְנוּסַתְכֶםme/nu/sat/KHEMyour flightבְּחִפָּזוֹןbe/chip/pa/ZONin hasteכִּי־אִםki-imbutיִהְיֶהyih/YEbeכׇּלkollet allדָּבָרda/VARthingsמוּכָןmu/KHANpreparedלִפְנֵיכֶםlif/ne/KHEMbefore youוְהַהוֹלֵךְve/ha/ho/LEKHand he that goesאַלalnotיַבֵּטyab/BETlet him lookאָחוֹרa/CHORbackפֶּןpenlestיָבוֹאya/VOshall comeעָלָיוa/LAYVupon himשֶׁבֶרSHE/verdestructionפִּתְאֹם׃pit/OMsudden

    But verily, thus saith the Lord, let not your flight be in haste, but let all things be prepared before you; and he that goeth, let him not look back lest sudden destruction shall come upon him.

    הַקְשִׁיבוּhak/SHI/vuhearkenוְשִׁמְעוּve/shim/Uand hearיֹשְׁבֵיyosh/VEO inhabitantsהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthהַקְשִׁיבוּhak/SHI/vulistenזִקְנֵיzik/NEeldersכְּנֵסִיָּתִיke/ne/siy/ya/TIof my churchיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherוְשִׁמְעוּve/shim/Uand hearקוֹלkolthe voiceיְהוָהAdonaiof the Lordכִּיkiforהוּאhuheקֹרֵאko/REcallsאֶלeluponכׇּלkolallאָדָםa/DAMmenוּמְצַוֶּהu/me/tsav/VEand he commandsכׇּלkolallאָדָםa/DAMmenבְּכׇלbe/KHOLin everyמָקוֹםma/KOMplaceלָשׁוּב׃la/SHUVto repent

    Hearken and hear, O ye inhabitants of the earth. Listen, ye elders of my church together, and hear the voice of the Lord; for he calleth upon all men, and he commandeth all men everywhere to repent.

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodשָׁלַחsha/LACHsent forthאֶת־הַמַּלְאָךְet-ham/mal/AKHthe angelהַקּוֹרֵאhak/ko/REcryingבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHthrough the midstהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimof heavenלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingפַּנּוּpan/NUprepareדֶּרֶךְDE/rekhthe wayיְהוָהAdonaiof the Lordוְיַשְּׁרוּve/yash/she/RUand make straightמְסִלּוֹתָיוme/sil/lo/TAYVhis pathsכִּיkiforקׇרְבָהkor/VAis nighעֵתetthe hourבֹּאוֹ׃bo/Oof his coming

    For behold, the Lord God hath sent forth the angel crying through the midst of heaven, saying: Prepare ye the way of the Lord, and make his paths straight, for the hour of his coming is nigh—

    בַּעֲמֹדba/a/MODwhen shall standהַשֶּׂהhas/SEthe LambעַלaluponהַרHarMountצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONZionוְעִמּוֹve/im/MOand with himמֵאָהme/Aa hundredוְאַרְבָּעִיםve/ar/ba/IMand fortyוְאַרְבָּעָהve/ar/ba/AfourאֶלֶףE/lefthousandוְשֵׁםve/SHEMhaving his nameאָבִיוA/VIVFather'sכָּתוּבka/TUVwrittenעַל־מִצְחוֹתָם׃al-mits/cho/TAMon their foreheads

    When the Lamb shall stand upon Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand, having his Father's name written on their foreheads.

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeהִכּוֹנוּhik/ko/NUprepareלְבוֹאle/VOfor the comingהֶחָתָןhe/Cha/TANof the Bridegroomלְכוּle/KHUgoלְכוּle/KHUgo you outלִקְרָאתוֹ׃lik/ra/TOto meet him

    Wherefore, prepare ye for the coming of the Bridegroom; go ye, go ye out to meet him.

20. 20

    כִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיַעֲמֹדya/a/MODhe shall standעַלaluponהַר־הַזֵּתִיםhaR-haz/ze/TIMthe mount of Olivetוְעַלve/ALand uponהַיָּםhay/YAMthe oceanהַגָּדוֹלhag/ga/DOLmightyגַּםgamevenעַלaluponתְּהוֹםte/HOMthe deepרַבָּהrab/BAgreatוְעַלve/ALand uponאִיֵּיiy/YEthe islandsהַיָּםhay/YAMof the seaוְעַלve/ALand uponאֶרֶץE/retsthe landצִיּוֹן׃Tsiy/YONof Zion

    For behold, he shall stand upon the mount of Olivet, and upon the mighty ocean, even the great deep, and upon the islands of the sea, and upon the land of Zion.

21. 21

    וְיִתֵּןve/yit/TENand he shall utterקוֹלוֹko/LOhis voiceמִצִּיּוֹןmits/Tsiy/YONout of Zionוּמִירוּשָׁלַיִםu/Mi/ru/sha/LA/yimand from Jerusalemיְדַבֵּרye/dab/BERhe shall speakוְנִשְׁמַעve/nish/MAand shall be heardקוֹלוֹko/LOhis voiceבְּכׇלbe/KHOLamong allהָעַמִּים׃ha/am/MIMpeople

    And he shall utter his voice out of Zion, and he shall speak from Jerusalem, and his voice shall be heard among all people;

22. 22

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand it shall beקוֹלוֹko/LOa voiceכְּקוֹלke/KOLas the voiceמַיִםMA/yimof watersרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyוּכְקוֹלu/khe/KOLand as the voiceרַעַםRA/amof a thunderגָּדוֹלga/DOLgreatאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichיְנַתֵּץye/nat/TETSshall break downהֶהָרִיםhe/ha/RIMthe mountainsוְהָעֲמָקִיםve/ha/a/ma/KIMand the valleysלֹאlonotיִמָּצֵאוּ׃yim/ma/tse/Ushall be found

    And it shall be a voice as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder, which shall break down the mountains, and the valleys shall not be found.

    יְצַוֶּהye/tsav/VEhe shall commandאֶת־תְּהוֹםet-te/HOMthe deepרַבָּהrab/BAgreatוְתוּשַׁבve/tu/SHAVand it shall be driven backאֶל־אַרְצוֹתel-ar/TSOTto the countriesהַצָּפוֹןhats/tsa/FONthe northוְהָיוּve/ha/YUand shall becomeהָאִיִּיםha/iy/YIMthe islandsלְאֶרֶץle/E/retslandאַחַת׃a/CHATone

    He shall command the great deep, and it shall be driven back into the north countries, and the islands shall become one land;

24. 24

    וְאֶרֶץve/E/retsand the landיְרוּשָׁלַיִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimof Jerusalemוְאֶרֶץve/E/retsand the landצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONof Zionתָּשֹׁבְנָהta/shov/NAshall be turned backאֶל־מְקוֹמָןel-me/ko/MANinto their own placeוְהָיְתָהve/ha/ye/TAand shall beהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERlike as itהָיְתָהha/ye/TAwasבַּיָּמִיםbay/ya/MIMin the daysבְּטֶרֶםbe/TE/rembeforeנֶחְלָקָה׃nech/la/KAit was divided

    And the land of Jerusalem and the land of Zion shall be turned back into their own place, and the earth shall be like as it was in the days before it was divided.

25. 25

    וְעָמַדve/a/MADand shall standיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordגַּםgamevenהַמּוֹשִׁיעַham/Mo/SHI/athe Saviorבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofעַמּוֹam/MOhis peopleוּמָלַךְu/MA/lakhand shall reignעַלaloverכׇּלkolallבָּשָׂר׃ba/SARflesh

    And the Lord, even the Savior, shall stand in the midst of his people, and shall reign over all flesh.

26. 26

    וְאֵלֶּהve/EL/leand theyאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoבְּאַרְצוֹתbe/ar/TSOTare in the countriesהַצָּפוֹןhats/tsa/FONof the northיִזָּכְרוּyiz/za/khe/RUshall come in remembranceלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordוּנְבִיאֵיהֶםu/ne/vi/e/HEMand their prophetsיִשְׁמְעוּyish/me/Ushall hearקוֹלוֹko/LOhis voiceוְלֹאve/LOand shall noיִתְאַפְּקוּyit/ap/pe/KUstay themselvesעוֹדodlongerוְהִכּוּve/hik/KUand they shall smiteבַּסְּלָעִיםbas/se/la/IMthe rocksוְנָזַלve/na/ZALand shall flow downהַקֶּרַחhak/KE/rachthe iceמִפְּנֵיהֶם׃mip/pe/ne/HEMat their presence

    And they who are in the north countries shall come in remembrance before the Lord; and their prophets shall hear his voice, and shall no longer stay themselves; and they shall smite the rocks, and the ice shall flow down at their presence.

    וּמְסִלָּהu/me/sil/LAand an highwayתִּסָּלֵלtis/sa/LELshall be cast upבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHin the midst ofתְּהוֹםte/HOMthe deepרַבָּה׃rab/BAgreat

    And an highway shall be cast up in the midst of the great deep.

28. 28

    וְאוֹיְבֵיהֶםve/oy/ve/HEMtheir enemiesיִהְיוּyih/YUshall becomeלָהֶםla/HEMunto themלְבַז׃le/VAZa prey

    Their enemies shall become a prey unto them,

29. 29

    וּבַמִּדְבָּרוֹתu/vam/mid/ba/ROTand in the desertsהַשֹּׁמְמוֹתhash/shom/MOTbarrenיִפְרְצוּyif/re/TSUthere shall come forthבְרֵכוֹתve/re/KHOTpoolsמַיִםMA/yimof waterחַיִּיםchay/YIMlivingוְהָאָרֶץve/ha/A/retsand the groundהַצְּחִיחָהhats/tse/chi/CHAparchedלֹאlonotתִהְיֶהtih/YEshall beעוֹדodlongerאֶרֶץE/retsa landצִמָּאוֹן׃tsim/ma/ONthirsty

    And in the barren deserts there shall come forth pools of living water; and the parched ground shall no longer be a thirsty land.

30. 30

    וְהֵבִיאוּve/he/VI/uand they shall bring forthאֶת־אוֹצְרוֹתֵיהֶםet-ots/ro/te/HEMtheir treasuresהַיְקָרִיםhay/ka/RIMrichלִבְנֵיliv/NEunto the childrenאֶפְרַיִםEf/RA/yimof Ephraimעֲבָדָי׃a/va/DAYmy servants

    And they shall bring forth their rich treasures unto the children of Ephraim, my servants.

31. 31

    וְרָעֲשׁוּve/ra/a/SHUand shall trembleגְּבוּלוֹתge/vu/LOTthe boundariesגִּבְעוֹתgiv/OTof the hillsעוֹלָםo/LAMeverlastingמִפְּנֵיהֶם׃mip/pe/ne/HEMat their presence

    And the boundaries of the everlasting hills shall tremble at their presence.

32. 32

    וְשָׁםve/SHAMand thereיִפְּלוּyip/pe/LUshall they fall downוְיֻכְתְּרוּve/yukh/te/RUand be crownedבְּכָבוֹדbe/kha/VODwith gloryגַּםgamevenבְּצִיּוֹןbe/Tsiy/YONin Zionבִּידֵיbi/DEby the handsעַבְדֵיav/DEof the servantsיְהוָהAdonaiof the Lordגַּםgamevenבְּנֵיbe/NEthe childrenאֶפְרָיִם׃Ef/ra/YIMof Ephraim

    And there shall they fall down and be crowned with glory, even in Zion, by the hands of the servants of the Lord, even the children of Ephraim.

33. 33

    וְיִמָּלְאוּve/yim/ma/le/Uand they shall be filledשִׁירֵיshi/REwith songsשִׂמְחַתsim/CHATof joyעוֹלָם׃o/LAMeverlasting

    And they shall be filled with songs of everlasting joy.

34. 34

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdזֹאתzotthis isבִּרְכַּתbir/KATthe blessingאֵלelof Godעוֹלָםo/LAMthe everlastingעַלaluponשִׁבְטֵיshiv/TEthe tribesיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELof Israelוְהַבְּרָכָהve/hab/be/ra/KHAand the blessingהָעֲשִׁירָהha/a/shi/RArichיוֹתֵרyo/TERmoreעַלaluponרֹאשׁroshthe headאֶפְרַיִםEf/RA/yimof Ephraimוַחֲבֵרָיו׃va/cha/ve/RAYVand his fellows

    Behold, this is the blessing of the everlasting God upon the tribes of Israel, and the richer blessing upon the head of Ephraim and his fellows.

    And they also of the tribe of Judah, after their pain, shall be sanctified in holiness before the Lord, to dwell in his presence day and night, forever and ever.

36. 36

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowאָמֵןa/MENverilyנְאֻםne/UMsaysיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִוָּדְעוּyiv/va/de/Umight be knownהַדְּבָרִיםhad/de/va/RIMthingsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseבְּקִרְבְּכֶםbe/kir/be/KHEMamong youיֹשְׁבֵיyosh/VEO inhabitantsהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthשָׁלַחְתִּיsha/LACH/tiI sent forthאֶת־מַלְאָכִיet-mal/a/KHImy angelמְעוֹפֵףme/o/FEFflyingבְּתוֹךְbe/TOKHthrough the midstהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimof heavenוְעִמּוֹve/im/MOhavingבְּשׂוֹרַתbe/so/RATthe gospelעוֹלָםo/LAMeverlastingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoנִגְלָהnig/LAappearedאֶלeluntoאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMsomeוּמְסָרָהּu/me/sa/RAand committed itלָאָדָםla/a/DAMunto manוְיֵרָאֶהve/ye/ra/Ewho shall appearאֶלeluntoרַבִּיםrab/BIMmanyהַיֹּשְׁבִיםhay/yosh/VIMthat dwellעַלalonהָאָרֶץ׃ha/a/RETSthe earth

    And now, verily saith the Lord, that these things might be known among you, O inhabitants of the earth, I have sent forth mine angel flying through the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel, who hath appeared unto some and hath committed it unto man, who shall appear unto many that dwell on the earth.

37. 37

    וְהַבְּשׂוֹרָהve/hab/be/so/RAand gospelהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisתִּקָּרֵאtik/ka/REshall be preachedלְכׇלle/KHOLunto everyגּוֹיgoynationוּמִשְׁפָּחָהu/mish/pa/CHAand kindredוְלָשׁוֹןve/la/SHONand tongueוָעָם׃va/AMand people

    And this gospel shall be preached unto every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people.

38. 38

    וְיָצְאוּve/ya/tse/Uand shall go forthעַבְדֵיav/DEthe servantsהָאֱלֹהִיםha/e/lo/HIMof Godוְאָמְרוּve/a/me/RUsayingבְּקוֹלbe/KOLwith a voiceגָּדוֹלga/DOLloudיְראוּyer/Ufearאֶת־הָאֱלֹהִיםet-ha/e/lo/HIMGodוּתְנוּu/te/NUand giveלוֹlohimכָבוֹדkha/VODgloryכִּיkiforבָאָהva/Ais comeעֵתetthe hourמִשְׁפָּטוֹ׃mish/pa/TOof his judgment

    And the servants of God shall go forth, saying with a loud voice: Fear God and give glory to him, for the hour of his judgment is come;

39. 39

    וְהִשְׁתַּחֲווּve/hish/ta/cha/VUand worshipלְעֹשֵׂהle/o/SEthat madeהַשָּׁמַיִםhash/sha/MA/yimheavenוְהָאָרֶץve/ha/A/retsand earthוְהַיָּםve/hay/YAMand the seaוּמַעְיְנוֹתu/ma/ye/NOTand the fountainsהַמָּיִם׃ham/ma/YIMof waters

    And worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters—

40. 40

    קֹרְאִיםkor/IMcallingבְּשֵׁםbe/SHEMupon the nameיְהוָהAdonaiof the Lordיוֹמָםyo/MAMdayוָלַיְלָהva/LAY/laand nightלֵאמֹרle/MORsayingלוּא־קָרַעְתָּlu-ka/RA/taO that you would rendשָׁמַיִםsha/MA/yimthe heavensיָרַדְתָּya/RAD/tathat you would come downמִפָּנֶיךָmip/pa/NE/khaat your presenceהָרִיםha/RIMthat the mountainsנָזֹלּוּ׃na/zol/LUmight flow down

    Calling upon the name of the Lord day and night, saying: O that thou wouldst rend the heavens, that thou wouldst come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence.

41. 41

    וְיֵעָנֶהve/ye/a/NEand it shall be answeredעַל־רָאשֵׁיהֶםal-ra/she/HEMupon their headsכִּיkiforפְּנֵיpe/NEthe presenceיְהוָהAdonaiof the Lordיִהְיוּyih/YUshall beכְּאֵשׁke/ESHas the fireהֲמָסִיםha/ma/SIMmeltingבֹּעֶרֶתbo/E/retthat burnsוּכְאֵשׁu/khe/ESHand as the fireאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichתַּרְתִּיחַtar/TI/achcauses to boilמָיִם׃ma/YIMwaters

    And it shall be answered upon their heads; for the presence of the Lord shall be as the melting fire that burneth, and as the fire which causeth the waters to boil.

42. 42

    אֲדֹנָיa/do/NAYO Lordבְּרִדְתְּךָbe/rid/te/KHAyou shall come downתּוֹדִיעַto/DI/ato make knownשִׁמְךָshim/KHAyour nameלְצָרֶיךָle/tsa/RE/khato your adversariesוְרָעֲשׁוּve/ra/a/SHUand shall trembleכׇּלkolallהַגּוֹיִםhag/go/YIMnationsמִפָּנֶיךָ׃mip/pa/ne/KHAat your presence

    O Lord, thou shalt come down to make thy name known to thine adversaries, and all nations shall tremble at thy presence—

43. 43

    בַּעֲשׂוֹתְךָba/a/sot/KHAwhen you doנוֹרָאוֹתno/ra/OTterrible thingsלֹאlonotיְקַוּוּ׃ye/kav/VUthey look for

    When thou doest terrible things, things they look not for;

44. 44

    אָכֵןa/KHENyeaבְּרִדְתְּךָbe/rid/te/KHAwhen you come downוְהָרִיםve/ha/RIMand the mountainsנָזֹלּוּna/ZOL/luflow downמִפָּנֶיךָmip/pa/NE/khaat your presenceתִּפְגֹּשׁtif/GOSHyou shall meetאֶת־הַשָּׂשׂet-has/SAShim who rejoicesוְעֹשֵׂהve/O/seand worksצֶדֶקTSE/dekrighteousnessהַזּוֹכֵרhaz/zo/KHERwho remembersאֹתְךָot/KHAyouבִּדְרָכֶיךָ׃bid/ra/khe/KHAin your ways

    Yea, when thou comest down, and the mountains flow down at thy presence, thou shalt meet him who rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, who remembereth thee in thy ways.

45. 45

    כִּיkiforמֵעוֹלָםme/o/LAMsince the beginning of the worldלֹאlonotשָׁמְעוּsha/me/Uhave men heardלֹאlonorהֶאֱזִינוּhe/e/ZI/nuperceived by the earעַיִןA/yinneither has eyeלֹא־רָאָתָהlo-ra/A/taseenאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMO Godזוּלָתְךָzu/la/te/KHAbesides youמָהmahow great thingsהֲכִינוֹתָha/khi/NO/tayou preparedלַמְחַכֶּהlam/chak/KEfor him that waitsלְךָ׃le/KHAfor you

    For since the beginning of the world have not men heard nor perceived by the ear, neither hath any eye seen, O God, besides thee, how great things thou hast prepared for him that waiteth for thee.

46. 46

    וְיֵאָמֵרve/ye/a/MERand it shall be saidמִיmiwhoזֶהzeis this thatבָּאbacomes downמֵאֵתme/ETfromאֱלֹהִיםe/lo/HIMGodבַּשָּׁמַיִםbash/sha/MA/yimin heavenחֲמוּץcha/MUTSwith dyedבְּגָדִיםbe/ga/DIMgarmentsאָכֵןa/KHENyeaמֵאַרְצוֹתme/ar/TSOTfrom the regionsלֹאlonotנוֹדָעוֹתno/da/OTwhich are knownהָדוּרha/DURclothed inבִּלְבוּשׁוֹbil/vu/SHOhis glorious apparelצֹעֶהtso/Etravelingבְּרֹבbe/ROVin the greatnessכֹּחוֹ׃ko/CHOof his strength

    And it shall be said: Who is this that cometh down from God in heaven with dyed garments; yea, from the regions which are not known, clothed in his glorious apparel, traveling in the greatness of his strength?

47. 47

    וְיֹאמַרve/yo/MARand he shall sayאֲנִיa/NII amמְדַבֵּרme/dab/BERhe who spokeבִּצְדָקָהbits/da/KAin righteousnessרַבravmightyלְהוֹשִׁיעַ׃le/ho/SHI/ato save

    And he shall say: I am he who spake in righteousness, mighty to save.

48. 48

    וְהָאָדוֹןve/ha/a/DONand the Lordאָדֹםa/DOMshall be redבִּלְבוּשׁוֹbil/vu/SHOin his apparelוּבְגָדָיוu/ve/ga/DAYVand his garmentsכְּדֹרֵךְke/do/REKHlike him that treadsבְּגַת׃be/GATin the wine-vat

    And the Lord shall be red in his apparel, and his garments like him that treadeth in the wine-vat.

49. 49

    וְהָיָהve/ha/YAand shall beהוֹדhodthe gloryפָּנָיוpa/NAYVof his presenceגָּדוֹלga/DOLso greatעַדadinsomuchכִּיkithatהַשֶּׁמֶשׁhash/SHE/meshthe sunיַסְתִּירyas/TIRshall hideפָּנָיוpa/NAYVhis faceבְּבוּשָׁהbe/vu/SHAin shameוְהַיָּרֵחַve/hay/ya/RE/achand the moonיִמְנַעyim/NAshall withholdאוֹרוֹo/ROits lightוְהַכּוֹכָבִיםve/hak/ko/kha/VIMand the starsיוּטְלוּyut/LUshall be hurledמִמְּקוֹמָם׃mim/me/ko/MAMfrom their places

    And so great shall be the glory of his presence that the sun shall hide his face in shame, and the moon shall withhold its light, and the stars shall be hurled from their places.

50. 50

    וְנִשְׁמַעve/nish/MAand shall be heardקוֹלוֹko/LOhis voiceפּוּרָהpu/RAthe wine-pressדָּרַכְתִּיda/RAKH/tiI trodלְבַדִּיle/vad/DIaloneוָאָבִיאva/a/VIand broughtמִשְׁפָּטmish/PATjudgmentעַל־כׇּלal-kolupon allהָעַמִּיםha/am/MIMpeopleוְאֵין־אִישׁve/EN-ishand no manאִתִּי׃it/TIwas with me

    And his voice shall be heard: I have trodden the wine-press alone, and have brought judgment upon all people; and none were with me;

51. 51

    וְאֶרְמְסֵםve/er/me/SEMand I trampled themבַּחֲמָתִיba/cha/ma/TIin my furyוְאֶדְרְכֵםve/ed/re/KHEMand I trod upon themבְּאַפִּיbe/ap/PIin my angerוְיֵזve/YEZand have I sprinkledנִצְחָםnits/CHAMtheir bloodעַל־בְּגָדַיal-be/ga/DAYupon my garmentsוְכׇל־מַלְבּוּשַׁיve/KHOL-mal/bu/SHAYand all my raimentאֶגְאָלְתִּיeg/AL/tistainedכִּיkiforיוֹםyomthis was the dayנָקָםna/KAMof vengeance whichבְּלִבִּי׃be/lib/BIwas in my heart

    And I have trampled them in my fury, and I did tread upon them in mine anger, and their blood have I sprinkled upon my garments, and stained all my raiment; for this was the day of vengeance which was in my heart.

52. 52

    וְעַתָּהve/at/TAand nowבָּאָהba/Ais comeשְׁנַתshe/NATthe yearגְּאוּלַיge/u/LAYof my redeemedוְיַזְכִּירוּve/yaz/KI/ruand they shall mentionאֶת־חַסְדֵּיet-chas/DEthe loving kindnessאֲדֹנֵיהֶםa/do/ne/HEMof their Lordוְאֵתve/ETandכׇּלkolallאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatגְּמָלָםge/ma/LAMhe bestowed upon themכְּטוּבוֹke/tu/VOaccording to his goodnessוּכְחַסְדּוֹu/khe/chas/DOand according to his loving kindnessלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverוָעֶד׃va/EDand ever

    And now the year of my redeemed is come; and they shall mention the loving kindness of their Lord, and all that he has bestowed upon them according to his goodness, and according to his loving kindness, forever and ever.

53. 53

    בְּכׇל־צָרָתָםbe/KHOL-tsa/ra/TAMin all their afflictionsלוֹloheצָרtsarwas afflictedוּמַלְאַךְu/mal/AKHand the angelפָּנָיוpa/NAYVof his presenceהוֹשִׁיעָםho/shi/AMsaved themבְּאַהֲבָתוֹbe/a/ha/va/TOin his loveוּבְחֶמְלָתוֹu/ve/chem/la/TOand in his pityהוּאhuheגְאָלָםge/a/LAMredeemed themוַיְנַשְּׂאֵםvay/nas/se/EMand bore themוַיְנַטְּלֵםvay/nat/te/LEMand carried themכׇּל־יְמֵיkol-ye/MEall the daysעוֹלָם׃o/LAMof old

    In all their afflictions he was afflicted. And the angel of his presence saved them; and in his love, and in his pity, he redeemed them, and bore them, and carried them all the days of old;

54. 54

    אָכֵןa/KHENyeaוְגַםve/GAMand alsoחֲנוֹךְCha/NOKHEnochוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand they who wereעִמּוֹim/MOwith himהַנְּבִיאִיםhan/ne/vi/IMthe prophetsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwho wereלְפָנָיוle/fa/NAYVbefore himוְגַםve/GAMandנֹחַNO/achNoah alsoוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand they who wereלְפָנָיוle/fa/NAYVbefore himוְגַםve/GAMandמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMoses alsoוַאֲשֶׁרva/a/SHERand they who wereלְפָנָיו׃le/fa/NAYVbefore him

    Yea, and Enoch also, and they who were with him; the prophets who were before him; and Noah also, and they who were before him; and Moses also, and they who were before him;

55. 55

    וּמִמֹּשֶׁהu/Mim/mo/SHEand from MosesעַדadtoאֵלִיָּהוּE/liy/YA/huElijahוּמֵאֵלִיָּהוּu/Me/e/liy/YA/huand from ElijahעַדadtoיוֹחָנָןYo/cha/NANJohnאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoהָיוּha/YUwereעִםimwithהַמָּשִׁיחַHam/ma/SHI/achChristבִּתְחִיָּתוֹbit/chiy/ya/TOin his resurrectionוְהַשְּׁלִיחִיםve/hash/she/li/CHIMand the apostlesהַקְּדוֹשִׁיםhak/ke/do/SHIMholyעִםimwithאַבְרָהָםAv/ra/HAMAbrahamוְיִצְחָקVe/yits/CHAKIsaacוְיַעֲקֹבve/Ya/a/KOVand Jacobיִהְיוּyih/YUshall beבִּפְנֵיbif/NEin the presence ofהַשֶּׂה׃has/SEthe Lamb

    And from Moses to Elijah, and from Elijah to John, who were with Christ in his resurrection, and the holy apostles, with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, shall be in the presence of the Lamb.

56. 56

    וְקִבְרֵיve/kiv/REand the gravesהַקְּדוֹשִׁיםhak/ke/do/SHIMof the saintsיִפָּתֵחוּyip/pa/te/CHUshall be openedוְיֵצְאוּve/yets/Uand they shall come forthוְיַעַמְדוּve/ya/am/DUand standלִימִיןli/MINon the right handהַשֶּׂהhas/SEof the Lambבְּעׇמְדוֹbe/om/DOwhen he shall standעַלaluponהַרHarMountצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONZionוְעַלve/ALand uponעִירirthe cityהַקֹּדֶשׁhak/KO/deshof the holyיְרוּשָׁלַיִםYe/ru/sha/LA/yimJerusalemהַחֲדָשָׁהha/Cha/da/SHAthe Newוְיָשִׁירוּve/ya/SHI/ruand they shall singאֶת־שִׁירַתet-shi/RATthe songהַשֶּׂהhas/SEof the Lambיוֹמָםyo/MAMdayוָלַיְלָהva/LAY/laand nightלְעוֹלָםle/o/LAMforeverוָעֶד׃va/EDand ever

    And the graves of the saints shall be opened; and they shall come forth and stand on the right hand of the Lamb, when he shall stand upon Mount Zion, and upon the holy city, the New Jerusalem; and they shall sing the song of the Lamb, day and night forever and ever.

57. 57

    וּבַעֲבוּרu/va/a/VURand forזֹאתzotthis causeלְמַעַןle/MA/anthatיִהְיוּyih/YUmight beבְנֵיve/NEthe childrenאָדָםa/DAMof menחֹלְקִיםchol/KIMmade partakersבַּכְּבוֹדוֹתbak/ke/vo/DOTof the gloriesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichעֲתִידִיםa/ti/DIMwere toלְהִגָּלוֹתle/hig/ga/LOTbe revealedשָׁלַחsha/LACHsent forthיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordאֶת־מְלֹאet-me/LOthe fulnessבְשׂוֹרָתוֹve/so/ra/TOof his gospelבְּרִיתbe/RITcovenantעוֹלָמוֹo/la/MOhis everlastingבְּדִבְרֵיbe/div/REreasoning inנֹכַחNO/khachplainnessוָתֹם׃va/TOMand simplicity

    And for this cause, that men might be made partakers of the glories which were to be revealed, the Lord sent forth the fulness of his gospel, his everlasting covenant, reasoning in plainness and simplicity—

58. 58

    לְהָכִיןle/ha/KHINto prepareאֶת־הַחַלָּשִׁיםet-ha/chal/la/SHIMthe weakלַדְּבָרִיםlad/de/va/RIMfor those thingsהַבָּאִיםhab/ba/IMwhich are comingעַלalonהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe earthוְלִשְׁלִיחוּתve/lish/li/CHUTand for the errandיְהוָהAdonaiof the Lordבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhenהַחַלָּשִׁיםha/chal/la/SHIMthe weakיָבִישׁוּya/vi/SHUshall confoundאֶת־הַחֲכָמִיםet-ha/cha/kha/MIMthe wiseוְהַקָּטֹןve/hak/ka/TONand the little oneיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beלְגוֹיle/GOYa nationעָצוּםa/TSUMstrongוּשְׁנַיִםu/she/NA/yimand twoיָנִיסוּya/NI/sushall put to flightרְבָבוֹת׃re/va/VOTtheir tens of thousands

    To prepare the weak for those things which are coming on the earth, and for the Lord's errand in the day when the weak shall confound the wise, and the little one become a strong nation, and two shall put their tens of thousands to flight.

59. 59

    וּבְחַלָּשֵׁיu/ve/chal/la/SHEand by the weak thingsהָאָרֶץha/A/retsof the earthיָדוּשׁya/DUSHshall threshיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordאֶת־הַגּוֹיִםet-hag/go/YIMthe nationsבְּכֹחַbe/KHO/achby the powerרוּחוֹ׃Ru/CHOof his Spirit

    And by the weak things of the earth the Lord shall thresh the nations by the power of his Spirit.

60. 60

    וּלְמַעַןu/le/MA/anand forזֹאתzotthis causeנִתְּנוּnit/te/NUwere givenהַמִּצְוֹתham/mits/VOTthe commandmentsהָאֵלֶּהha/EL/letheseצֻוּוּtsuv/VUthey were commandedלְהִשָּׁמֵרle/hish/sha/MERto be keptמִןminfromהָעוֹלָםha/o/LAMthe worldבַּיּוֹםbay/YOMin the dayאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatנִתְּנוּnit/te/NUthey were givenוְעַתָּהve/at/TAbut nowיֵצְאוּyets/Uare to go forthאֶלeluntoכׇּלkolallבָּשָׂר׃ba/SARflesh

    And for this cause these commandments were given; they were commanded to be kept from the world in the day that they were given, but now are to go forth unto all flesh—

61. 61

    וְזֹאתve/ZOTand thisכְּדַעַתke/DA/ataccording to the mindוּרְצוֹןu/re/TSONand willיְהוָהAdonaiof the Lordהַמּוֹשֵׁלham/mo/SHELwho rulesעַלaloverכׇּלkolallבָּשָׂר׃ba/SARflesh

    And this according to the mind and will of the Lord, who ruleth over all flesh.

62. 62

    וְהַשָּׁבve/hash/SHAVand unto him that repentsוְהַמִּתְקַדֵּשׁve/ham/mit/kad/DESHand sanctifies himselfלִפְנֵיlif/NEbeforeיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordיִנָּתְנוּyin/na/te/NUshall be givenלוֹlohimחַיֵּיchay/YElifeעוֹלָם׃o/LAMeternal

    And unto him that repenteth and sanctifieth himself before the Lord shall be given eternal life.

63. 63

    וְעַלve/ALand uponאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthem thatלֹאlonotיִשְׁמְעוּyish/me/Uhearkenלְקוֹלle/KOLto the voiceיְהוָהAdonaiof the Lordיְקֻיַּםye/kuy/YAMshall be fulfilledהַכָּתוּבhak/ka/TUVthat which was writtenבְּיַדbe/YADby the handמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEof Mosesהַנָּבִיאhan/na/VIthe prophetכִּיkithatיִכָּרְתוּyik/ka/re/TUthey should be cut offמִתּוֹךְmit/TOKHfrom amongהָעָם׃ha/AMthe people

    And upon them that hearken not to the voice of the Lord shall be fulfilled that which was written by the prophet Moses, that they should be cut off from among the people.

64. 64

    וְגַםve/GAMand alsoהַכָּתוּבhak/ka/TUVthat which was writtenבְּיַדbe/YADby the handמַלְאָכִיMal/a/KHIof Malachiהַנָּבִיאhan/na/VIthe prophetכִּיkiforהִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayבָּאbacomesבֹּעֵרbo/ERthat shall burnכַּתַּנּוּרkat/tan/NURas an ovenוְהָיוּve/ha/YUand shall beכׇל־זֵדִיםkhol-ze/DIMall the proudאָכֵןa/KHENyeaוְכׇל־עֹשֵׂהve/KHOL-o/SEand all that doרִשְׁעָהrish/Awickedlyקַשׁkashstubbleוְלִהַטve/li/HATand shall burnאֹתָםo/TAMthem upהַיּוֹםhay/YOMthe dayהַבָּאhab/BAthat comesאָמַרa/MARsaysיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordצְבָאוֹתtse/va/OTof hostsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatלֹאlonotיַעֲזֹבya/a/ZOVit shall leaveלָהֶםla/HEMthemשֹׁרֶשׁSHO/reshneither rootוְעָנָף׃ve/a/NAFnor branch

    And also that which was written by the prophet Malachi: For, behold, the day cometh that shall burn as an oven, and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble; and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

65. 65

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeזֶהzethisיִהְיֶהyih/YEshall beמַעֲנֵהma/a/NEthe answerיְהוָהAdonaiof the Lordאֲלֵיהֶם׃a/le/HEMunto them

    Wherefore, this shall be the answer of the Lord unto them:

    בַּיּוֹםbay/YOMinהַהוּאha/HUthat dayבְּבוֹאִיbe/vo/Iwhen I cameאֶלeluntoאֲשֶׁר־לִיa/SHER-limy ownאֵיןennoאִישׁishmanבָּכֶםba/KHEMamong youקִבְּלָנִיkib/be/la/NIreceived meוַתְּגֹרָשׁוּ׃vat/te/go/ra/SHUand you were driven out

    In that day when I came unto mine own, no man among you received me, and you were driven out.

67. 67

    בְּקׇרְאִיbe/kor/Iwhen I calledשׁוּבshuvagainאֵיןenthere was noneבָּכֶםba/KHEMof youעוֹנֶהo/NEto answerוְלֹאve/LOyet notקָצְרָהka/tse/RAwas shortיָדִיya/DImy armמִפְּדוּתmip/pe/DUTfrom redeemingוְלֹאve/LOneitherכָהָהkha/HAwas weakenedכֹחִיkho/CHImy powerלְהַצִּיל׃le/hats/TSILto deliver

    When I called again there was none of you to answer; yet my arm was not shortened at all that I could not redeem, neither my power to deliver.

68. 68

    הֵןhenbeholdבְּגַעֲרָתִיbe/ga/a/ra/TIat my rebukeאַחֲרִיבa/cha/RIVI dry upיָםyamthe seaאָשִׂיםa/SIMI makeנְהָרוֹתne/ha/ROTthe riversמִדְבָּרmid/BARa wildernessתִּבְאַשׁtiv/ASHstinkדְּגָתָםde/ga/TAMtheir fishוְתָמֹתve/ta/MOTand dieבַּצָּמָא׃bats/tsa/MAfor thirst

    Behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea. I make the rivers a wilderness; their fish stink, and die for thirst.

69. 69

    אַלְבִּישׁal/BISHI clotheשָׁמַיִםsha/MA/yimthe heavensקַדְרוּתkad/RUTwith blacknessוְשַׂקve/SAKand sackclothאָשִׂיםa/SIMmakeכְּסוּתָם׃ke/su/TAMtheir covering

    I clothe the heavens with blackness, and make sackcloth their covering.

70. 70

    וְזֹאתve/ZOTand thisיִהְיֶהyih/YEshallלָכֶםla/KHEMyou haveמִיָּדִיmiy/ya/DIof my handלְמַעֲצֵבָהle/ma/a/tse/VAin sorrowתִּשְׁכָּבוּן׃tish/ka/VUNyou shall lie down

    And this shall ye have of my hand—ye shall lie down in sorrow.

71. 71

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdוְהֵןve/HENand loאֵיןenthere are noneמַצִּילmats/TSILto deliverלָכֶםla/KHEMyouכִּיkiforלֹאlonotשְׁמַעְתֶּםshe/ma/TEMyou obeyedלְקוֹלִיle/ko/LImy voiceבְּקׇרְאִיbe/kor/Iwhen I calledאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMto youמִןminout ofהַשָּׁמָיִםhash/sha/MA/yimthe heavensלֹאlonotהֶאֱמַנְתֶּםhe/e/man/TEMyou believedלַעֲבָדַיla/a/va/DAYmy servantsוּבְשׇׁלְחָםu/ve/shol/CHAMand when they were sentאֲלֵיכֶםa/le/KHEMunto youלֹאlonotקִבַּלְתֶּםkib/bal/TEMyou receivedאֹתָם׃o/TAMthem

    Behold, and lo, there are none to deliver you; for ye obeyed not my voice when I called to you out of the heavens; ye believed not my servants, and when they were sent unto you ye received them not.

72. 72

    לָכֵןla/KHENwhereforeחָתְמוּcha/te/MUthey sealed upהָעֵדוּתha/e/DUTthe testimonyוַיִּצְרְרוּvay/yits/re/RUand bound upהַתּוֹרָהhat/to/RAthe lawוַתִּמָּסְרוּvat/tim/ma/se/RUand you were delivered overלַחֹשֶׁךְ׃la/cho/SHEKHunto darkness

    Wherefore, they sealed up the testimony and bound up the law, and ye were delivered over unto darkness.

73. 73

    אֵלֶּהEL/letheseיֵלְכוּyel/KHUshall goאֶלelaway intoהַחֹשֶׁךְha/CHO/shekhdarknessהַחִיצוֹןha/chi/TSONouterאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhereשָׁםshamthereבְּכִיbe/KHIis weepingוּמִסְפֵּדu/mis/PEDand wailingוַחֲרֹקva/cha/ROKand gnashingשִׁנָּיִם׃shin/na/YIMof teeth

    These shall go away into outer darkness, where there is weeping, and wailing, and gnashing of teeth.

74. 74

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיְהוָהAdonaithe Lordאֱלֹהֵיכֶםe/lo/he/KHEMyour Godדִּבֵּרdib/BERspokeאָמֵן׃a/MENAmen

    Behold the Lord your God hath spoken it. Amen.
